oh yeah and once again. the part that makes me insane is their worry. as a whump author one of my fave tropes is a character being in a terrible situation and the others having no clue whats really happening to them and just having to guess and theorize. they have no idea whats really happening to marcy... but they do know that shes alive and a prisoner. like i said. do they think shes locked in some dark damp cell with her wounds still burning with pain and wondering if anyone will ever come to save her. do they think that shes straight up being tortured for one reason or another (BECAUSE THEY WOULDNT BE WRONG!). they have to prepare for the worst case scenario. sure she COULD be receiving proper care and what comfort olivia and yunan can provide but that just seems too hopeful to be possible. shes waiting there for them until they can get her back but the longer shes there the less chance they have of getting her back in one piece. ive written so many fics abt this just because its soooo good and angsty.

ive said it before but im Always thinking abt how anne and sasha talked abt marcy during the resistance. (and how anne thought abt her in s3a) and bouncing off the analysis i posted earlier i neeeeed to post more marcy angst.

like. they barely address it in the show and only a LITTLE more in the journal but the truth is that what happened to marcy and what could be happening to her the longer they wait is just so horrible and terrifying for them to have to think about

like. god when the journal came out this page was EVERYTHING to me. it brings so much of what the show was missing back in. anne is GENUINELY terrified that marcy may be dead after what she saw happen to her and has no idea how to cope with that possibility.

but what sasha actually said is that marcy is being held prisoner and it just. scratches my angst brain to think about what they thought she was going through all that time. they saw her get hurt. do they think shes locked away somewhere still injured and in pain... i refuse to believe sasha understood the full implications of the rejuvenation tank in the heat of the moment. how does she even know for certain that shes alive?

and finally just. how desperate anne is to save her from the castle and see her safe again

I've been having some (scattered and unhelpful) thoughts about Nicky being transmasc and how that affects the Nick vs. Narcolas situation, and I thought I'd make a post abt it!

Senseless blabbering under the cut ⚠️

(for the purposes of this post, Nick is pre Meth bay and Glenn's son, Nicolas/Narcolas is post Meth bay and Jodie's son and Nicky is post demon-ification)

Ok! So, I headcanon Nick Close to be transmasc (whether binary or not isn't important rn). The real question is, Is Nicolas also transmasc?

Possibility 1) Nicolas is transmasc. Growing up Jodie's kid, he was exposed to queer people, yes, (I don't think Jodie is transphobic/homophobic or anything) but it would've definitely been a very sanitized, corporate, binary queerness. I think Nicolas would've realized he was trans at a very young age, Idolizing his dad and wishing he could be like him. Realizing he was trans kinda made that fiction seem more reasonable and attainable, so he wouldn't have pushed the feelings down. I think talking to his dad about this would've been a fairly "typical" coming out. Lots of "I love you no matter what" and "this is a big decision but I will support you". Support, but it was also a serious matter.

Nick on the other hand would've grown up with Glenn and (only while he was very young) Morgan. At least in my head, they would've both been pretty down with gender fuckery and playfulness around gender expression and identity. Like Nicolas, Nick would've also realized pretty young, given his parents exposing him to Queer culture and making sure he knew he could be whatever he wanted. When he came out it wasn't ceremonial or anything, and was met with a resounding "fuck yeah! Rock on man".

When Nicky was """created""" these memories coincided and heightened his awareness of the differences in his upbringing and also how he lives now. I'm sure there's some good potential for stories, angst and fics in there.

Possibility 2) Nicolas is a cisgender boy.

Nicolas grows up surrounded by men like his dad, masculine and, in his eyes, perfect. He is constantly trying to be like his dad, and feeling inadequate because of that. Alongside this impossible standard of manhood he is being raised in, he is also having to face the challenges and toxicity of cis boyhood.

As he becomes Nicky, the memories of the playfulness of being raised by Glenn and being trans are mixed with the experience of being surrounded by unachievable toxic masculinity of being Nicolas. Nicky has no idea if he counts as trans or not, being he technically has the body of a cis boy, (something Nick longed for.) He has a very complicated relationship to womanhood and being trans, while also having lived as a cis boy too. Let's face it, at least in my experience cisgender boys are taught to be transphobic, homophobic, racist, ableist and every terrible thing in the book. Although I doubt Nicolas was the worst, he still grew up in a "agree with these terrible 'jokes' or you're out" environment, one that is suffocating and hypnotic to be in. The cognitive dissonance and later guilt he would've experienced upon remembering his life as Nick, as a transmasc, would've been painful at best, downright excruciating at worst. (Kinda a really extreme version of the human experience of doing something wrong then regretting it later.)

In my personal experience, I spent the first 12 years of my life as a cisgender girl, and to be completely honest I had some fucked up opinions on neopronoun users, furries, alt people and people who are nowadays called 'cringe'. It fucking sucks looking back on that even though I've since come out as trans and bi (and am dating a neopronoun user!!!! Hi Leonardodicapriowo!!!!) I still (correctly) feel incredibly guilty about the things I thought and the things I said. (I'm fairly sure I wasn't vocal about my opinions and never really hurt anyone, but you can never know) I also feel like that concept could be explored really interestingly with Nicky.

Idk these thoughts have just been floating around in my head for a while and I thought I'd write em down somewhere!

I think about c!wilburs ptsd a normal amount! I never particularly think about his trauma revolving swords tho. I think back to the moment in the finale stream where I think c!tommy pulls out a sword in anger (excuse me it’s been over a year since I watched the final stream) and I think about how that would’ve affected c!wilbur. I like to think his body tensed up and his eyes widened and he flinched back a little in that moment. Thinking it was happening again.

-I like to think he’s the kinda guy to refuse to admit he’s disabled/Neurodivergent/Mentally ill. Nope i’m fine type beat. Powering thru the chronic pain and the autistic meltdowns and manic episodes like it’s nothing

-Tourette’s syndrome. I’ve never talked abt this headcanon before but I have tics irl and I feel like he would have them.

-He is a big fan of other forms of art. I think he would paint and write novels he will never show to anyone

-He lost all pain tolerance after revival.

-He has a speech impediment. He grew out of it but it never fully went away

-Pathetically anxious. No comment

-Shakes/trembles constantly. He’s just colder now

-He never knows when he is sick. He will often go weeks without realizing it and usually has to have someone tell him he’s sick (if it’s not bad enough)

General opinion/How much I care about them:

I LOVE YUYA HELLO????? I CARE ABT HIM SO MUCH!!!! he's just such a kind wejhfbewb person. yuya is a very kind protagonist, so kind that he's just super naive because of it. i would argue he's the most, because he just trusts anyone automatically if they remind him of his dad.

however, i really hated a lot of the zarc stuff, not his fault by any means! it's the fault of the writing, he could've shined more if the writing wasn't so... yeah. especially towards the end of the series. he could've been more if arc-v didn't hold him back. he lost so much potential because of said writing. i wish he got to shine more, and entertain us more.

and in my hot take: i would've loved an ending where all of the yu's and the bracelet girls lived! but also, i feel like the most interesting ending would've been if all of them died. i feel like his character arc would've ended super interesting like that. idk, i'm just still mad abt the ending wejhfbwe, why not have all of them dead?

i also say this bc angst my beloved. BUT BUT BUT, i love yuya so much and i want him to be happy. he deserves to duel with a giant smile.

A ship I love:

pendulum....shipping... i've loved them for a long time. they make me happy, and they itch my brain in SUCH a happy way. i always liked them since i was a child. i love the dynamic of reiji being in love with yuya, but not showing it (if that makes sense). he will show his love through actions, and protecting yuya and basically laying his life down. reiji will do anything for yuya, he wants and needs yuya to be happy.

yuya always loved reiji too! but i feel as if he had a hard time showing his love too. both of them went through so much, and i feel like it will take them a long time for them to be together. as friends?? YEAH THAT'S AWESOME!! as lovers??? give them a handful of years, then they'll go on a date.

A non-romantic relationship that I love:

him and the other yu's. i personally interpret them with a brotherly/strong friendship relationship thing. i can go either way. in some aus i have, they're brothers... others they're just friends or whatever.

i think all of them would have a very funny dynamic. yuya would always try to break up arguments and try to keep them all happy. i think they should all go to an amusement park and make yuri go on a rollercoaster. IT WOULD BE FUN

i want to write a fic where yuya and reiji confess to each other, post arc-v! they're both adults, and they've been longing to see and talk to each other about these feelings.

ANOTHER THING BEFORE WE GET STARTED!!: If anyone wants to write a fic based off this pls do im begging im desperate for some good angst

TW: This gets vv dark at times, going in depth abt acidity and just general bodily harm type stuff, also some psych horror towards the end

-It causes a short circuit of sorts whenever the victim tries to use their magic, whether it ends up in the magic coming out as too much, or not at all

-They can’t control anything, even the most basic of spells can go haywire in a second. their magic has been thrown off balance, trying to go back to the fine line it was balanced upon, the fine line that was built on years and years of experience, growth, and practice, but that line was sliced the moment they overblotted

-Now, they’re lucky if they’re ever able to perform an elementary spell again, let alone their UM

-Their magic also causes physical pain to use after a while

-Speaking of pain, the victim will be incredibly sore if lucky, if unlucky it can result in torn muscles and broken bones from the transformation process

-The amount of mental distress can also cause intense headaches afterwards, resulting in the person potentially losing their hearing or sight for moments at a time

-The blot is still accumulated within the body, but it’s being rejected. Due to this, the person will occasionally cough up a mixture of blood and blot. Immediately afterwards, this effect will be more violent and come in the form of throwing up the blot

-it will also leak out of their bodies at every opportunity, coming out of eyes, ears, noses, etc until the blot is at a normal level

-this is including even when they dont want to, such as crying

-this can also cause temporary blindness due to the volatile nature of blot

-If you wanna take it a step further, lets say that the blot would burn the victim inside and out (a prime example of this will be vil’s, due to the poisonous and acidic nature that his blot has shown). This could cause incredibly painful rashes and internal scarring, similar to ulcers, due to the blot eating away at their bodies. The situation is bad if it’s in their stomach or lungs, but heaven forbid it ends up in their bloodstream somehow

-Or even worse, in their brains

-Imagine it eats away at parts they need. Their memories? Their abilities to read, write, speak? Their senses? The part of their brain that controls parts of their limbs? If it gets into their brain, and they lose those parts of them, what could they do?

-Furthermore, I think that immediately afterwards they could not physically get up. They’d be in a concussed, coma-like state

-Not to mention the ‘monsters’ that form behind them. We know that in Chap 6 it goes a little bit into what they really are, but do those monsters ever go away? -They physically might, but their essence is within the blot. and the magic user is stuck with the blot for as long as they have magic

-the ob victim could hear the monster’s growling, its gurgling, a roar at any given moment. but can anyone else hear it? not at all. is it all in their head, or is the monster a part of them now?

-they could also experience a lack of emotional control afterwards due to the amount of energy going into the overblot, leading to intense mood swings and meltdowns in the months after an overblot

-this can also be present in their abilities to stay awake, with their energy being constantly sapped in trying to control their out-of-control magic as well as their fluctuating emotions

-The physical effects, the mental stress, and the guilt combined, its not surprising to see many post-ob victims driven to insanity

-of course, many of them are kept within the STYX headquarters, trying to rid themselves of the aftermath

-Many can recover, but its a long and grueling process

-even decades afterwards, many great magicians who have experienced an overblot will find themselves going back to that moment, forcing themselves to stop before it consumes them just as it had before

-you may learn to control it, but the monster never goes away

Yoongi wakes up the morning of the 13th with a sore throat. He thinks nothing of it at first. Maybe he just recorded too much the previous day. His new tracks feature a much more raw voice, putting much more strain on his throat. So feeling a little sore is not uncommon. He carries on with his morning. He brews himself some green tea to soothe the pain and sips it leisurely. 

Yoongi blocked the day off to prepare for Hoseok’s debut party. He goes through his wardrobe, trying to pick what would be best for the album release party. He’s been excited about the party since Hoseok invited him. If Hoseok is throwing it, he knows it will be the party of the year. And he wants to make a good impression. 

He hasn’t listened to Hoseok’s album yet, out of principle. He’s been wanting to wait until the official release. But because of it, he has no idea what vibe to go with. Knowing Hoseok, a hip-hop vibe would be appropriate. Even with that in mind, he lays out a couple outfits on his bed and snaps pictures. He immediately texts them to Hoseok for feedback.  

Hoseok replies quickly despite how busy he must be. Organizing the party, filming his promotions, rehearsing for his upcoming stage. He still makes time for the members. Hoseok picks one of the outfits the older rapper sent him, remarking that Yoongi will kill at the party. He even commends Yoongi for being so proactive. 

Yoongi carries on the conversation. He goes on to tell Hoseok how he was going to get his makeup done for the party, which Hoseok laughs about. And he constantly praises Hoseok for his efforts and how excited he was to support him. 

Hoseok goes on and on about everything he's planning and all the fellow stars he's invited to the party. Yoongi's never met most of them. It only makes him more excited, the ability to form potential collaborations with new artists. Parties are all about networking. And supporting Hoseok, of course. 

But really, Yoongi is Hoseok’s biggest supporter. He could not be more proud of his fellow rapper. When they started discussing their solo debuts, Hoseok volunteered to go first. It must have taken a lot of guts to go first. Having no reference for how things would go, putting himself on the line like this. At least the rest of them can learn and coordinate their own debuts by learning from Hoseok. The dance leader went into it alone, operating through sheer trial and error. Yoongi is so impressed.

As the day progresses, Yoongi picks up a dry cough. It becomes an unmanageable tickle in the back of his throat that doesn’t quit. It serves to further irritate that sore throat he couldn’t quite kick in the morning. But he just drinks more tea in hopes that it will help. 

The sore throat and cough worsen overnight. Yoongi wakes the morning of the party in a cold sweat. He aches everywhere. He feels a chill despite being buried under his comforter and snuggled up with Holly. His throat is still sore, burning worse than yesterday. And the grating cough doesn’t help at all. He overlooked it, but now he's concerned.

He forces himself out of bed and to the bathroom. He thinks he keeps his thermometer in there. He's already assumed he’s running a fever. And when it beeps, he confirms and glares down at the blinking 39.2. 

He thinks about all of the symptoms and swallows a lump in his throat, painfully of course. He knows what it looks like. And he’s not happy about it. 

The first thing he does is schedule a test. The second thing he does is create a group text with Seokjin, Namjoon, Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook. 

Yoongi: 

I don’t think I can go to Hoseok’s party tonight.

Namjoon: 

Why can’t you go?

Taehyung: 

Hyung, you have to be there! 

Seokjin: 

Yoongi-yah. You better not be putting work over Hoseok’s debut. He needs our support. 

Yoongi: 

Hyung, no. Of course not.

I woke up with a fever. And a sore throat. And a cough.

The group chat is eerily silent for several minutes until Jungkook replies, 

Jungkook: 

Are you getting tested?

Yoongi:

I scheduled one. But the earliest appointment is tomorrow morning.

Namjoon: 

Were you exposed? 

Yoongi: 

I don’t think so. 

Seokjin: 

Still, you should air on the side of caution. If you’re having symptoms, you shouldn’t go.

Namjoon:

I agree with Jin-hyung. We don’t want to turn Hobi’s party into a superspreader event. 

Yoongi: 

What do I tell Hoseok?

He’s so excited. We were just talking about it yesterday.

Jimin: 

You tell him the truth, hyung.

You didn’t mean to get sick. It just happened.

Jungkook:

Hobi-hyung will understand why you can’t be there.

Yoongi:

Do you think he’ll be upset?

Seokjin: 

Probably. But like Jungkookie said, he’ll understand.

Yoongi: 

I really wanted to be there to support him.

Seokjin: 

You’ll just have to support him extra hard in other ways.

While you’re resting, of course.

Jungkook:

He’ll forgive you.

Namjoon:

We all love you hyung.

Jimin: 

Take care of yourself. Hope you feel better, hyung.

Taehyung: 

We’ll send you pics and videos from the party!

Seokjin:

Now go talk to Hoseok.

Yoongi closes the chat and feels the support of the other members behind him. 

But he still drafts the text to Hoseok about 50 times. He doesn’t know how to go about telling him. He doesn’t want Hoseok to think he’s bailing at the last minute, or faking an illness just to get out of it. He really was excited and he hopes that Hoseok knows that. 

He deleted all the character’s he wrote. He sticks the thermometer back in his mouth to just take his temperature again. He snaps a photo of the reading and sends it to Hoseok. The number would speak for itself.

Yoongi sends the photo, sans caption. Before he even has time to put his phone down, it blasts with the annoyingly peppy tone he has set as Hoseok’s contact tone. That was quick. He takes a deep breath and answers on the fourth ring. 

“Hob-ah,” His voice is croaky, only helping his case. 

“Hyung, are you okay!? Your fever’s pretty high. Do you need to go to the doctor? Have you taken medicine?” Hoseok rattles off with concern.

“I’ll be okay,” He coughs, turned away from the phone receiver, “I haven’t taken anything yet. I just woke up not too long ago. But I didn’t have a fever yesterday. Too soon to tell if I need a doctor.” 

“Are you having any other symptoms?” He asks. 

“I’ve had a sore throat. And a cough that started yesterday. Now a fever.”

“Hyung, that sounds like-” 

“Don’t say it. I know what it sounds like.” Yoongi’s quick to cut the dancer off, like the word alone is traumatizing enough. “I have a test scheduled for tomorrow morning.” 

“Tomorrow morning…” Hoseok’s voice deflates. Yoongi thinks everything just now clicked for Hoseok. Including why Yoongi had randomly texted him. Fevers are something they are all used to, stress fevers specifically. They don’t usually share every fever with each other. “That means… you’re isolating, right?” 

Yoongi nods, but he remembers Hoseok can’t see him and answers verbally. “Yeah. I don’t want to risk exposing anyone, if that’s what it is.” He comments.

“Of course not,” There’s a clear sadness in Hoseok’s voice, but he’s trying to push through it. Yoongi’s heart cracks knowing he’s the cause. 

“I’m so sorry, Hob-ah.” Yoongi apologizes. His voice is going, and he’s tired. He’s not sure how much longer he can carry on this conversation. “I really wanted to go to your party.” 

“Don’t apologize, hyung.” Hoseok is really trying to mask his disappointment. He wants Yoongi there most of all, knowing he hadn’t shared any of the tracks with the older rapper. He knew that Yoongi put thought and planning into attending. He knew it wouldn’t feel right without all of his members there to support him. But much like everything they’ve experienced in the last few years, nothing ever goes the way they want it to. “You can’t help that you got sick.”

“But you worked so hard-” 

“Yoongi-hyung,” Hoseok interrupts. He doesn’t want Yoongi to feel guilty. “I’m sorry you’re not feeling well. I know you’d come if you could. But we both know it’s best that you stay at home.”

“You’re not mad, are you?” Yoongi’s voice is small, fearful. 

“Of course not.” Hoseok assures, “I’m disappointed you won’t be there tonight. It won’t be the same without you. But you need to prioritize your health.” Yoongi can hear the fondness in Hoseok’s voice. “So take some medicine, maybe a shower, and get some rest.” 

“Thanks, Hob-ah.” Yoongi’s voice cracks, a sign it’s nearly. He tries to clear it, just to buy more time. 

“Feel better, hyung.” Hoseok can tell Yoongi’s losing his voice. He wraps up the call, “I’ll miss you.” 

“Enjoy the party. I’ll be waiting for pics.” It’s the last of his voice, the end of the sentence is nothing but a raspy whisper. He hangs up the phone, feeling much more at ease than he had previously. He takes care of himself, like he promised everyone that he would. 

Yoongi sleeps most of the day away, trying to fight off the miserable symptoms. It’s a routine of naps and tea and fruit and naps and medicine and tea. While he’s taking his evening dose of fever reducers, he hears a knock on the door. He slips on a mask and goes to answer it. There’s no one there. Only a teal and black checkered box sitting on his stoop. Even his fevered mind recognizes the pattern immediately. 

With a chuckle and a headshake, he brings the box inside. The words “Jack In The Box” are inscribed on every side of the box and Yoongi wonders how Hoseok had time to arrange for this despite how busy he surely was with everything else. 

He opens the box and finds a small taste of the release party inside. The checkered pattern covers all the merchandise, obvious gifts he’s arranged for his guests. There’s snacks and tiny bottles of alcohol. There’s a mood lamp he assumes will turn his living room into a pink and teal strobe show. But there’s also a pouch of tangerines and a bottle of fever reducers and throat spray and cough drops. He also finds a box of licorice root tea that Yoongi knows is not easy to find. Along with all of it, there’s a handwritten note: 

It’s not a real party without my SUGA-hyung. Please celebrate with us. ♡ Jack

Yoongi smiles, helping himself to the tangerines and graciously uses the throat spray. He sucks on a cough drop while setting up the mood lamp. When he finishes his tea, he falls asleep to the vibrant neons bouncing around his walls, thinking about how proud he is of his dongsaeng.

Olay first of all thank you for such an extensive, in depth and really kind post. In these trying times of being shadowbanned into the Nether realm it's really comforting to see people are still here and loving it.

Second of all Ghost and Sunny have a very in depth and rocky relationship. I think Sunshine realised first that they had a thing for Ghost but because of the drama that ensues (that you'll see when I'm unshadowbanned and can write sunshines story arc) and the weird sexual tension between Birdy and Ghost, Sunshine tries to ignore it.

When Sunny finally attempts to move on I think is when Ghost realises exactly how he feels.

I feel like the way Medusa dies in the manga isn't bad but still it felt anticlimactic and it happens off the radar of all the characters besides crona, I feel like she could've gone out with a bit more of a bang. I kind of wish the resolution with Medusa borrowed elements from the show my ideal would be kind of a mesh of the show and the manga. Like I feel like there's constantly important stuff happening but a lot of the characters are never really given a chance to react or at least for us to see their reaction to such things? Wish we had more breathers like that but there's very few quiet chapters to let things sink in which makes sense after hearing Okubo say his favorite part is writing and drawing the fights.

It's also kind of funny how a series about death and souls really doesnt focus much on mortality, let alone have any important characters over the physical age of 40. Kids gonna live for hundreds of years, doesn't it fuck with him that all his closest friends are human? I think shinigami shouldve have some sort of commemoration somewhere for all his past death scythes he's had over the last 800 years. It's odd to me that was never explored, great angst potential missed.

Hi! First of all 💓💖💗💕💞✨ for asking me abt the spiral Sasha au

The person to recognize not!daisy in this au is actually Sasha herself! I was thinking about how the distortion overlaps with the not!them in the notion of "false friends" and what is essentially Eldritch gaslighting- it's part of the reason I actually find it to be the scariest monster in tma.

Sasha's path to avatarhood is, in my mind, best described as "a person victimized by a system being tempted with power that preserves them but comes at other people's expenses". And part of Sasha being a victim has to do with the way the spiral makes you doubt yourself. Hence, Sasha being the recollect is perfect fuel for the spiral, she's made to doubt her memories and experiences- it's also doubly scary considering Sasha..nearly died because of the not!them? It'd probably send her into a bit of a paranoid spiral (no pun intended), she'd feel like the monster is targeting her personally.

As for how Melanie factors in the au, I share your sentiment of wanting them to be besties. Melanie just deserves someone to talk to about haunted pubs goddamit! They're both so eye aligned I think they'd be absolute nightmares doing research together (in the best way). But also I think their friendship runs a bit deeper than that in this au?

Melanie talks in 117 about how she constantly felt undermined in her field, as did Sasha in 162 (I believe??) But they both delt with it differently- Melanie decided to keep fighting and clawing for her space in the world and Sasha decided to quietly bow out, support her friend, but also look for a new job. Both of these methods have pros and cons to them that I think just kind of. Captures an interesting potential dynamic in general? The tension between standing up for yourself even if it just serves to enable your anger and make you more defensive, and quietly putting on a persona of support, in a way that creates distance from yourself and the people around you, and makes you more willing to pretend you're fine when you're not.

I'm also so interested in the angst of how Sasha would play into the bullet removal arc. If she's not in the archives at the time and comes back to the fallout, is she then mad at Jon on behalf of melanie? Because at this point in the au, it's just Jon, Sasha and Melanie in the archives (basira's fate is...yet to be decided and Tim and Martin are busy). That's gotta suck because I can imagine Jon and Sasha were pretty close in this au, what with the whole thing is simultaneously becoming avatars. Even if they weren't Friends they Got Each Other, y'know? Or is Sasha vouching for Jon in this scenario? Did she help remove the bullet? If so then melanie's just been traumatized by her friend, and that's gotta be really rough. (So much potential angst here it's delicious)

AND THE POINT ABOUT MELANIE AND HELEN!! I made a meta post a while ago about how Melanie is a person whose deeply susceptible to the spiral and how Helen befriending her was probably another long con manipulation, and I think it's easy to infer that Sasha doesn't particularly get along with the distortion, what with the kidnapping and the subsequently becoming an avatar. There's different directions you could go with that kind of tension! Does Melanie defend Helen, ignoring Sasha's warnings and complaints, only to apologize when she eventually realizes how awful Helen was? Does Sasha try to reconcile with Helen for melanie's sake and end up hurting? Or does Melanie turn away from Helen earlier and put herself in danger since Helen no longer desires to keep up a friendly facade around her?

I’ve only ever watched spn s1-5. My bf and I are abt to reach s6 in our rewatch. Here’s what I know based on gifsets and the copious, copious amounts of destiel fanfic I’ve read in the past month.

SEASON SIX

* Sam has no soul

* Cas and Dean erase Lisa and bens memories (bc that’s better than fridging them I guess)

* Cas watches dean rake leaves

SEASON SEVEN

* I’m honestly not sure what happens in this season bc no one talks abt it. Leviathans maybe? Which I picture as black goop krakens bc I know the leviathans have something to do with black goop and cas walking in to a large body of water

SEASON EIGHT

* BENNY

* dean hangs out in purgatory with his two bfs Benny and cas

* At some point cas beats the living shit out of dean in The Hallway™️

* (I only know abt that bc it’s mentioned as angst fodder in s9 fics so it must happen in s8 right??)

* Also cas spends time at a Biggersons?? (Like the place Sam and dean won that giant check?? Idk)

SEASON NINE

* Cas is Human and works at a gas station

* Sam is Sick (welcome back to the story Sam!) and that’s why Cas gets sent to the gas station bc apparently he’s a Victorian baby that can’t be in the same house as the sickness

* Dean watches Cas at the gas station (see prev: Cas watching Dean rake leaves)

* At some point Cas takes care of the gas station baby

* At this point they are living in the Bunker which is Cool but it has no windows which is a Problem bc Cas likes plants now (except Cas can’t live with them so I guess that gets resolved??) Dean cooks for everyone but the kitchen is small so he is constantly bumping into others (see: Cas). Sam has a new nerd friend named Kevin who he brought home so he wouldn’t have to keep talking to Dean abt Cas 24/7.

SEASON TEN

* Honestly this is where things start to get fuzzy for me. I think maybe this is where Mary comes back? She is Not A Mom and it makes Dean sad.

* Maybe this is when the Mark of Cain stuff happens? Dean gets revenge on Cas for The Hallway™️ beating.

SEASONS ELEVEN-FOURTEEN

* Like I said things are fuzzy here. Idk when any of this happens but here’s what I know:

* Jody Mills aka sheriff zombie son has an orphanage for teenage girl hunters (plz I want this to be it’s own show)

* Bobby and Rufus get hitched

* Sam has spent the last few seasons since he got sick learning sign language so he can hang out with the cool hunter chick Eileen

* Kevin dies, Charlie dies (idk when she was in the show but she’s Dean’s bestie and she’s dead now), Mom dies again

* Dean and Cas and a surrogate mom have a son named Jack. He is born a teenager (?????) and is even weirder abt humanity than s4 Cas.

* Everyone is very sad that he was born as a teenager and not a baby bc we missed seeing Dean and Cas hanging out with their baby

* Cas dies again??? Which leads to what everyone calls The Widower Arc which I guess is just Dean being sad abt Cas being dead again

* Cas comes back but he and Dean are divorced now?? Except Dean makes him a mixtape (it’s called Let’s Get Back Together I Miss You Sam Won’t Shut Up Abt Eileen)

* There’s a redhead witch named Rowena that also hangs out with Sam (thank you Sam for taking on all the ladies/potential straight bait fodder so they leave Dean and Cas alone)

* Chuck is God now but he still sucks

* Other featured baddies: Abbadon, Amara, Billie? I didn’t think Billie was a baddie at first but then there’s mention of her coming for them so idk. I guess Cain counts as a baddie maybe and Crowley (who Dean had a summer fling with at some point but I have no clue when). The show ends before we get any further in the alphabet

SEASON FIFTEEN

* This one is obvious guys the only thing that happens this season is Cas tells Dean he loves him and THEY LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER

One Piece Film Z but Franky is brought back 12 years and the angst that ensues when he's suddenly human again, and has to deal with years of transformations all at once. Just an idea.

oh nonny, i have daydreamed about this idea ever since i saw that movie and i just love it so much franky is just such an interesting character to de-age because he’s changed so dramatically in his life. and there are so many complicated feelings tied up in his transformation, both positive and negative, and undoing that would potentially unleash all of them in a messy way.   like, before he turns himself into a cyborg, he calls his body “useless”, in regards to not being strong enough to stop the sea train. there’s a whole mess regarding ‘being weak’ right there. and franky obviously prefers and is proud of his new body and strength. so, to take that away would be devastating, and send franky into a spiral of depression, guilt and self-loathing.   and it might make franky fall back onto some of his old coping mechanisms - anger, repression, destruction - to compensate for that. especially destruction - i can see franky using his inventions to make up for being so weak, but overshooting into something he can’t handle or control. and i’d imaging that adjusting to his old body again would be hard. i mean, he’s not only shorter and weaker, but he’s no longer invulnerable. so, pain is suddenly something he has to deal with again, and something he’s very much not used to anymore. and that applies to all sensations - he would feel everything more, since his nerves are no loner dulled by his metal skin. i already headcanon that franky has sensory issues, and this would make those 100x worse. hello, sensory overload and all the problems that come with that. and! the crew’s reactions!! this is very much a franky they do not know. like, they’ve only known franky as a cyborg, and by the time he actually joined them, he already had dealt and moved on from a lot of  these issues. he’s still franky, just different, and i’d imagine they’d have some trouble adjusting to that. plus, the crew does not like seeing each other in pain, especially when there’s nothing they can immediately do about it. everyone’s be a little more stressed, and there would be more pressure to fix the situation as quickly as possible.   of course, it wouldn’t be all doom and gloom - there’s a lot of jokes you could make too. like, on my first read through, i consistently thought franky was younger than he actually was, at every stage, and i know that’s something others thought as well. so like zoro or sanji goes, “hah im older than you now”, and franky’s like “im 24” and everyone’s like “WHAT??” OR franky constantly trying to do things with his cybernetics only for nothing to happen, and there’s just an awkward silence for a moment. or like franky’s been a cyborg for so long that he just forgot about all the things that humans need to do, and now he has to relearn all of that and he’s gonna complain about it the whole time. and im sure there are things that franky missed about having a human body, and now he can experience them again! like, touch would be a big thing. as i mentioned before, i’ve always thought that franky’s sense of touch would be dulled by his cybernetics. and now he can touch things, and actually feel thing fully. and he’s never experience that with any of his crew before, so there would be so much hand-holding and hugs. and franky just marvels at how different each of them feel and how much he loves them all 🥺 OR! you can make it even more angst-y!! because how ain‘s fruit affects inorganic material is not consistent. like, she can affect it, but when she first ‘returned’ the straw hats, their clothing wasn’t effected at all. so you could have her powers effect franky’s metal parts so they just go away when his de-ages, or...you could have them not. and suddenly having a bunch of new body parts trying to replace a bunch of metal seems like not a good combo. that has the potential of getting real gore-y real quick, and also lethal, but there is wiggle room with it. i mean, franky survived getting hit by a train, and performing surgery on himself on a grimey boat, and they have chopper, so actual death seems unlikely. but near-death is certainly a possibility, and makes everything way more painful (and more pain means more of that good ol’ hurt/comfort)

but yeah, this is something i’ve thought about...a lot. it’s one of those ideas that i want to write a fanfic of, but i have so many of those, and i am not a fast writer by any means so. i’ll probably never get to it, but i enjoy thinking abt it and talking abt it!
