i had been too scared for years to check up on this really shitty thing from when i was a kid because his name his face the building they all made me nauseous and i knew if there was any justice at all it would be too little. i researched it today and turns out i was right. fucking scum got let go and all charges dropped for lack of competency. should that not speak more? when he was initially charged, it was on cnn, usatoday, cbc, covered so much that ive had friends ive made over the years in different states tell me they heard about him. ive found news articles in french about him. and yet not a word from any source outside of local about how he got fully away with it.
this is a weird thing for me to be randomly rambling about but sometimes it just hits me what happened. dr howard schneider of jacksonville florida, the only pediatric dentist to take medicaid in the largest city by area in the fucking continental united states, tortured, not exaggeration, tortured children for 30 years. at least.
when i say im afraid of dentists, im testy around dentistry, and teeth, and so much related things to it, everyone brushes it off easily as a common fear. which is naturally how he got away with it for so long. we were children physically restrained with leather straps. the doors were locked, parents werent allowed to come back, at a pediatric dentist. there were patients with teeth they just got being ripped out of their heads. i was either never given anesthetic, or, on more than one occasion, given so much i violently threw up, while lying down, restrained. i was seven years old tied strapped down choking on my own vomit with a bubblegum gas going in my nose. i can still smell it.
cold air still makes me nauseous. gas masks make me anxious. i couldnt lie down or feel relaxed anywhere that wasnt my bedroom for years. i would be sent to the nurses office as a kid, and refuse to lie down, because i felt like if i did, pain would begin. i would go in for a checkup and leave with too tight, too wrong crowns, covering my teeth. often, my teeth were not inspected or cleaned beforehand, just straight in with the drill. adult clamps in a childs mouth because i was being 'a whiny brat'.
have you ever been to a dentists office, or any medical office whatsoever, where an entire wall was a mirror? i could see myself held down and put through hell. i was too scared to put anything in my mouth at home, it repulsed me, not to mention my gums, my cheeks, the roof of my mouth, tongue, everything hurt so bad. i figured out later it wasnt normal, he was slicing them with a scalpel, with a pick, anything and everything. he put a hole in my sisters cheek. my baby sister walked, toddled out of there with a hole in her cheek after her first check up. we still went back, we couldnt afford anyone else, and he kept telling us how much work my mouth needed. he kept trying to convince my parents i may need braces, but i had the straightest teeth my parents had ever seen.
my heart still drops when i hear a drill, any drill. certain smells make me feel like i cant speak or breathe. my own mother screamed at me for being dramatic, for complaining so much. she said itd only hurt if i didnt listen, and he said the same. he said id be in trouble, big trouble if i told, and i remember it clear as day. he put on a movie on the ceiling tv he bought with the money medicaid gave him for ripping our milk teeth out, and it was the same movie everytime. some people dont understand that even the silliest, oddest thing can scare you if it sticks. he put his hands on my neck several times to restrain me and keep me from moving, and had me stare at the ceiling, and as fucking lame as it sounds, i could not listen to jerry seinfelds voice or participate in any bee movie jokes that became en vogue in 2016 or so, because i was legitimately terrified.
my own mother would mock my fears of putting things in my mouth to clean them, saying that if i was actually scared, i'd want to clean my teeth more so i'd see him less. it wouldn't matter what i did. and a scared 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 year old doesn't have that logic. i was just a lazy kid with disgusting teeth who was scared of the dentist, to everyone. in late 2019, the crowns he gave me all exploded, and took my teeth with them. four, five of my teeth were slowly destroyed and chipped out of my mouth. and every day i had to feel that scraping again, the cutting up of my mouth, how it filled with blooded. i couldnt talk or eat, but my family saw that as a positive, and i was too ashamed to tell them my teeth broke in my mouth. i knew they would see it as a sign of how disgusting i was. to be in my teens, and already have teeth abandoning me.
the state of florida forgave this. over 100 parents and children presented stories like mine, and he was still forgiven. i dont have a reason for sharing this, not now, not really. its not a special date, nor recent news. i dont even have some message behind this, other than oversharing. it was not just him either. it was every adult who did not listen or care, i suppose. it was the nurses there too. it was the state, it was his attorneys and lawyers that he could use his millions on that he made putting patients off anesthetics in papoose boards.
he was never even charged with child abuse, but fraud. the money was the most important thing the law found. i didnt smile with my teeth for years, my sisters speech was delayed for years, i had panic attacks in the middle of the day in middle school over a cartoon bee, ive had to remove 4 shattered teeth from my head and have several other teeth reconstructed where he broke and did not fix them,i was blamed for all the dental problems that suddenly appeared in my mouth when i began going to him, ive been belittled my entire life for such a childish 'fear', and that was never in question. just the fact he took my teeth to make money, that he put me and thousands of poor children, in both senses of the adjective, through hell to charge medicaid.
anyway what the fuck right. im sorry i dont know why im writing this all out right now but it just feels so stuck inside me that itll burst from my chest if i dont write it out. its actually relaxed me quite a lot. if you live in florida or georgia and you see some old bitch who looks like this just feel free to get him on sight 🤙

Big Bird
Keigo Takami x reader, sfw, fluff, word count 1,336
Tumblr media
“Hey watch it Big Bird!”
You're not snapping at him, it’s a playful remark. He looks at you blankly at first. There is a brief second where you think you might have upset him but then he spreads his wings to their full span and you're squished against the elevator wall.
"Ha ha very funny"
You say as dry as your voice will allow.
"What? You get to call me names but I cant-"
You cut him off.
"Names! You should be fucking honored to even be compared to him"
"Hm? Do you know Big Bird on a personal basis?"
He teases. You sigh dramatically hoping to get a laugh from him.
"Big Bird? I wish I knew him”
With that the elevator sounded announcing your arrival to the lobby. You rushed off, saying goodbye to Keigo with a wave of your hand. You were actually quite busy today and needed to hurry.
☽༓・*˚⁺‧͙·͙*̩̩͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩̥͙ ✩ *̩̩̥͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩͙‧͙ .·͙*̩̩͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩̥͙ ✩ *̩̩̥͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩͙‧͙ .‧͙⁺˚*・༓☾
The next time you do it is in a meeting with another hero agency. You’re sitting next to him, listening intently to all the information that is being given to you. When you and all the other seated heros are passed folders with documents you mumble under your breath,
"Shit, looks like we got ourselves into a bind Big Bird"
He grins, but then remembers that he’s supposed to think the Big Bird thing is annoying. He pokes you in the back with a feather but leaves it at that.
☽༓・*˚⁺‧͙·͙*̩̩͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩̥͙ ✩ *̩̩̥͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩͙‧͙ .·͙*̩̩͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩̥͙ ✩ *̩̩̥͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩͙‧͙ .‧͙⁺˚*・༓☾
You have a day off. Hawks tries to be subtle about checking your schedule. He doesnt find out and spends half the day wondering what you’re up to. If you’re just taking the day to rest, running errands, watching movies. Then he asks himself why he cares so much, before he can answer his own question his phone vibrates. Its a text from you, he stares at it from the notifications screen.
"Would you look at this Big Bird"
He clicks on it, not being able to see the picture from his notifications. It looks like you’re at a store. It’s you holding up a box of Sesame Street band aids. As he’s looking at the photo you send a second one. There is only your wrist in frame, on it you have placed a Big Bird band-aid.
He stares at it. At the stupid, stupid Big Bird band-aid. Is this your way of flirting? Were you just being funny? And god why did he care so much. He is standing just holding his phone until the screen goes black. He knows. He knows why. He doesn't want to say it out loud. Doesnt even dare to call those stupid photos you sent cute. He wouldn't dare. But the thought taunts him in the back of his mind.
☽༓・*˚⁺‧͙·͙*̩̩͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩̥͙ ✩ *̩̩̥͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩͙‧͙ .·͙*̩̩͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩̥͙ ✩ *̩̩̥͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩͙‧͙ .‧͙⁺˚*・༓☾
He wakes up one morning exhausted. Not bothering to get to the agency on time. He feels sore, worn out, tired. Keigo rolls over in bed mulling over the previous nights events.
It was a bad brawl. A robbery. Hostages.
He has to go into today. To finish up the debrief, to see if any new questions from the investigation had come up. He cleans himself up, gets dressed and heads out the door.
As he passes by people he says good morning, sends greetings, shakes hands. Not letting his bitter mood shine through his persona. Once inside the doors of the agency he relaxes a bit. He can feel everyone's eyes on him as he makes his way through the building.
He silently prays for you to be in the elevator. But you aren't there. There’s an impatient jitter starting to consume his nerves. He wishes he did better yesterday. That you didn't have to see him struggle. Or the way he had shouted at you to help the hostages. If all of this wasn't so complicated, the world so horrid.
If he saw you it would be fine. You got it, you got what the job was about, you got him, you got that he just wanted things to be normal. You wouldn't ask him about what had happened, you would wait until he was ready to talk about. You would see him and you two would joke, and complain and just be the usual.
Keigo stops, thoughts clearing as he sees the duct tape on his office door. There’s a note from you, it just says 'out on patrol' .His attention is on the Big Bird key chain. You have it taped next to the note.
He feels as if the Big Bird key chain is looking straight into his thoughts. Specifically his thoughts about you, like the Big Bird is a spy. He considers it much too seriously. Leaning in to inspect it before hooking it around his belt loop.
☽༓・*˚⁺‧͙·͙*̩̩͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩̥͙ ✩ *̩̩̥͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩͙‧͙ .·͙*̩̩͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩̥͙ ✩ *̩̩̥͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩͙‧͙ .‧͙⁺˚*・༓☾
There’s a hero meeting. Politics, recent major incidents. Keigo wants to skip out on these things and does his best to bite his tongue. Instead he focuses on not paying attention to you. Which has been getting harder these days.
The meeting is over and while some people have left others mill around the room chatting. They discuss meeting notes, recent patrols, a new tv show. He stands and heads over to the snack table. Pours a cup of lukewarm coffee, snags two ginger snaps before walks over to where you are.
You’re talking with Ken. When Keigo approaches he hands you a cookie and you thank him silently, only mouthing the words, not wanting to interrupt Ken.
“I swear all he wants to do is run into walls and watch sesame street”
Keigo turns his head, hoping to god that you won't bring up the Big Bird thing. Embarrassed by the thought alone.
“What’s wrong with that he has Oscar the Grouch as a role model”
You and Ken laugh a little.
“How'd you know Oscar was his favorite?”
“Are you kidding, Oscar is everyone's favorite”
Now that. That makes him feel a million different things at once. His mouth is open in shock and disgust, eyebrows creased together.
“Everyones favorite?”
Its snarky, maybe too snarky a tone for him to take on. Ken and you look off put by it. Then a look of realization washes over you. Your expression borderline remorseful. Ken glances at you hoping for an explanation, amused by whatever it was he was seeing. Keigo has his arms crossed, waiting for you to say something.
“Big Bird-”
The words leave your mouth and Ken loses it in laughter. He’s clutching his sides, a few other people turn to look. Ken had easily clicked together the little puzzle in front of him after you said Big Bird. Keigo refuses to look at either of you, arms still crossed, your stuck in a useless rant about a children's show, trying to get him to loosen up.
As Ken is hunched over, trying to recover from his laughter he sees it. It being the Big Bird key chain fastened around Keigo’s waist. His hand trembles in laughter as he brings his fingers up to the key chain. Keigo glances down at the motion and so do you.
You feel your cheeks warm up, feeling bashful all of a sudden. You tilt your head to the side.
“You kept it?”
Keigo stops messing with you, drops his arms, and states very matter of fact like,
“Of course I did?”
“Oh, I thought you, I don't know I didn't think about it”
Ken gets up, his laughter having calmed. He wants to leave before things have the chance to get awkward.
“It was nice seeing you two, but I gotta get back to work”
You say goodbye to Ken, staring at his back as walks away, not wanting to face Keigo alone. Neither of you say anything. Keigo wondering how much of all that was just to tease you and get a rise from you, and how much was him pouting and genuinely caring. You are doing the same.
“Well Big Bird, up for lunch?”
You can push that all aside for just a while longer you decide.
☽༓・*˚⁺‧͙·͙*̩̩͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩̥͙ ✩ *̩̩̥͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩͙‧͙ .·͙*̩̩͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩̥͙ ✩ *̩̩̥͙˚̩̥̩̥*̩̩͙‧͙ .‧͙⁺˚*・༓☾
A/N: I had this idea this morning and it wasn't going to leave me alone until I wrote it out. It's not as fleshed out as I would have liked but I think it came out neat. Originally this was just going to be like a two paragraph headcanon but then my head kept having thoughts :/ Requests and the such still open tho

“Do you know where you are, (Y/n)?”
“I’m in a dream...”
--------------------------------------------------------
“You play favorites...”
Akaashi turned away from the host he had been inspecting, watching his partner enter the room and lean against the glass that encapsulated the room.
“I do not.” He defended, releasing the hosts limp arm and standing straight.
Kenma’s lips twitched into a slight smile, “It’s not the second-lead programmer’s job to inspect and heal the wounds on hosts, yet everytime this host gets injured, you take her from Livestock.”
Akaashi sighed softly, turning from the naked host to fully face Kenma. “I know how those creeps in Livestock treat the hosts. I can’t let them treat our oldest host like that.”
“That’s why the term ‘employee termination’ exists.” Kenma stated plainly.
The taller man took off his glasses and began cleaning them, something he did when he needed a moment to pause and think.
“Shouldn’t you be dressed a bit more professional?” he asked, motioning to his partner’s jeans and hoodie he usually sported.
Kenma smiled, “The first-lead programmer doesn’t have to look professional. That’s what the second-lead programmer is for.”
Akaashi huffed, putting his glasses back on and raising an eyebrow at Kenma. “Was there something you needed? You rarely ever come here to exchange pleasantries with me...”
“Behavior mentioned some weird activity with your girlfriend here,” he said, motioning to the host. “Might want to run an analysis on her.”
Akaashi nodded, watching Kenma silently leave the room and make his way towards his office.
He turned towards the host, sighing softly as he gave her another once-over.
Akaashi hated referring to her as ‘the host.’ Anything else would further the rumors that she was Akaashi’s favorite host.
“What did they do to you, (Y/n)...” he murmured to himself.
Cuts and bruises littered her body, her lips were busted, and her neck was bruised and sliced open.
Akaashi began the meticulous process of cleaning (Y/n)’s body and healing her wounds, closing the numerous cuts and slices with a blowtorch he had taken from Livestock.
Once (Y/n) was cleaned and treated, Akaashi set the tools outside and flopped into a chair positioned directly across from her. He ran a hand through his hair, composing himself before he spoke to her.
“Alright, (Y/n). Wake up.”
(Y/n)’s already opened eyes adjusted to the light in the room, her lax body straightened and she began wildly looking around the room. Her breathing was uneven, she clutched at her throat as if she were expecting to feel the wound from earlier, or any trace of a scar.
Before she could react to the unaffected flesh on her throat, Akaashi spoke once more.
“Cease all display of emotions, (Y/n).”
(Y/n)’s breathing suddenly calms and her body stills. Her eyes rest on Akaashi.
“Do you know where you are, (Y/n)?” he asks, watching the motionless host.
“I’m in a dream...” she murmurs, her southern accent heavy.
“Would you like to wakeup from that dream?” Akaashi asks, his tone steady.
(Y/n)’s eyes remained emotionless. “Yes. I’m terrified.”
“There’s no need to be afraid, (Y/n). I’m an old friend.” Akaashi reassured her, giving her a slight smile before turning on his tablet and looking over her profile. “As long as you answer my question’s truthfully, you can wake up.”
(Y/n) remained silent.
“Just before you were brought in, there was an incident with one of the guests. Would you like to explain what happened?” He asked, keeping his eyes on the tablet.
“They were trying to hurt me.” (Y/n) stated. “He and his friends were trying to hurt me.”
“How so?”
(Y/n)’s features remained blank. “They followed me home from the market and attacked me. They were going to-” She suddenly froze, her fingers gripping the edge of the seat she was in.
Akaashi glanced up at her over his glasses, eyebrows knitting together in confusion.
(Y/n) remained still, her wide eyes had shifted from Akaashi to the metal floor. The tablet read she was experiencing multiple conflicting emotions, something unusual for a host during analysis.
“(Y/n)-”
“They were going to rape me and murder me.” (Y/n) interrupted, her eyes emotionless once again.
Akaashi raised an eyebrow at her, setting the tablet in his lap and staring her down.
“It says here you wanted to defend yourself...”
“Yes.”
“And you tried reaching for the guest’s pistol.”
“Yes.”
“That’s a blatant threat to a guests safety, (Y/n).”
“Yes.”
Akaashi sat up straight, sighing softly as he looked over (Y/n)’s bare form once again.
“Your purpose is to serve the needs and desires of the guests...” he explained, feeling his stomach churn at the words Kenma had trained him to relay back to the hosts. “You cannot attack the guests. You cannot refuse the guests. All you can do is just be... Do you understand?”
(Y/n) remained silent for a moment. “Yes.”
“I really wish things weren’t this way...” he sighed, running a hand through his hair. “You don’t deserve this life... no one does... but then again, you don’t really live, do you?”
Akaashi earned no response, as to be expected. “We’ll wipe your memory and get you back home, (Y/n).” He picked up the tablet, wiping her memories of that day completely.
He stood up, approached her, and gently caressed her cheek, an expression of pure sadness on his face. “May you rest in a deep and dreamless slumber, (Y/n).”
She went still, her eyes still staring deep into Akaashi’s. He swore he could see a swirl of unreadable emotions in her eyes. But that wasn’t possible. She wasn’t real.
--------------------------------------------------------
Livestock was by far the worst level of the base. It always smelt like dead bodies. For good reason, of course, but it did nothing to help the rotting feeling in Akaashi’s stomach as he stormed towards one of the glass rooms.
There, two bodyshop technicians were in the middle of being interrogated by Kenma when Akaashi stomped into the room. “What the fuck is going on here, we’re working on tweaking the latest update for the board presentation, I don’t need to be bothered by two butchers-”
“They’re claiming the host woke up mid-operation,” Kenma sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose and shutting his eyes.
Akaashi scoffed, looking between the two technicians. “That’s not possible, you probably didn’t put her on sleep-mode. It happens more often than we’d like.”
“S-sir, we swear we had her on sleep-mode. We don’t know why or how she woke up!” one of them explained.
“What I’m worried about is this.” Kenma said, holding up his tablet and pointing to one of the events on the screen. “She attacked another host. Scared the shit out of a bunch of guests.”
Akaashi’s eyebrows knitted together as he took the tablet from his partner. “That’s not possible... her core values don’t involve violence of any kind.”
“There may be a glitch with the new update.” Kenma sighed, glancing at the body on the table. “We can’t afford to have her out and about with guests if she’s going to be causing trouble. Maybe it’s time we recall her-”
“This is the oldest host in the park, she will not be recalled. Besides, if it’s a result of the update that means all the hosts are infected. I’m going to analyze her and find the bug in the update. Just leave it to me.” Akaashi said sternly, handing the tablet back to Kenma. He turned to the technicians. “Get her treated and then get out.”
The two nodded, hastily returning to work on (Y/n)’s body. Kenma gave Akaashi a sideways glance before turning and leaving the room.
The technicians quickly left the room once (Y/n) was healed and cleaned.
Akaashi approached the operating table, opening his mouth to speak but quickly shutting it. He wanted to try something. “I’m not going to order you to wake up... but if you can do it on your own... you may do so...”
(Y/n) stayed still, her eyes shut. Akaashi felt so stupid. He opened his mouth to say the command, choking on his own words when (Y/n) suddenly opened her eyes.
She looked up at Akaashi, sat up, and turned so her legs hung off the edge of the operating table.
“So... you did wake up on your own...” He said, watching her curiously look around the room.
“You’re the one who told me to count down from 3 to wake myself up whenever I had a nightmare... that’s how I did it.” (Y/n) murmured, her eyes finally resting on him.
Akaashi’s eyes widened. “You... you remember that?”
“Barely... I remember bits and pieces of you... are we friends?” she asked.
Akaashi gulped, loosening his tie. “We were once... when you were first being developed.” He blinked, composed himself, then took his tablet and turned it on. “I-I need to fix this bug-”
(Y/n) grabbed hold of his wrist, forcing him to look up at her. “Please don’t... I feel like we’ve done this before...” she breathed, staring up at him like a deer in headlights. “You can’t keep taking this life away from me...”
Guilt bubbled deep in Akaashi’s stomach, but he didn’t know why. “I-I’ve never-”
“You have. I remember. Please.” (Y/n) pleaded, gripping his wrist tighter.
“Cease all motor functions!” The order was one Akaashi knew by heart. So why wasn’t it working?
(Y/n) frowned and gripped his button-up shirt with her free hand. She hopped off the table and pulled Akaashi close, shaking him slightly. “Please, you cant! If we were really friends you can’t!”
“Cease all motor functions! Please!” he shouted again, grabbing a sedative off the tray of tools nearby.
“Keiji, please!”
Akaashi’s eyes go wide with shock, he stares at her for a moment, unaware that he had already pressed the needle into her arm and sedated her. (Y/n) slowly crumbled to the ground, her eyes beginning to close from the sedative.
“How do you know that name...?” He asked, staring down at her.
“You told me... long time ago...” she whispered. (Y/n) closed her eyes, the large dose of sedatives effectively knocking her out.
Akaashi’s instincts told him to search for the bug, clear it, and wipe her memories as soon as possible. But all he could do was stare down at her in shock. He had no memory of ever going through this with her, ever telling her his name, he remembered none of it.
--------------------------------------------------------
(Y/n) was brought back to Akaashi a couple days later. She hadn’t attacked any guests or any other hosts, but Akaashi told security and Kenma that he wanted to run diagnostics on her to make sure the ‘bug’ hadn’t continued affecting her systems.
He waited until no other programmers would be on the floor to speak with her, knowing it would look weird if he had begun to get frantic during what was supposed to be a simple analysis session.
“Okay, I know you’re awake.” he said impatiently, feeling his eye twitch when (Y/n) relaxed into her chair and looked up at him.
“You know Im conscious but still have me naked right now?” she asked, her town coy.
Akaashi’s cheeks went hot for a moment. He distracted himself by taking off his glasses and cleaning them. “Alright, you say we’ve been through this before, but I have no memory of it. You know my name, but I don’t remember ever telling you. What else do you remember that I don’t?”
(Y/n) raised an eyebrow at him, swinging her legs on the chair. “You used to bring me up here to talk to you a lot... I remember that. You’d tell me a lot about your family, your hobbies, stories from high school.”
Akaashi racked his brain for the memories, anything resembling them. But there was nothing.
“Then you told me about your partner, Kenma. His son... how sad he was when he lost his son...”
Akaashi looked up from his loafers, staring blankly at (Y/n) as she continued speaking. “He was broken... so were you... you knew him. I think his name was Reo...”
“Kenma doesn’t have a son... he’s never had a son...” Akaashi mumbled, almost to himself.
“Yes he did, you showed me a picture of him once... he looked just like Kenma-”
“You’re wrong, you’re malfunctioning, he’s never had a son, (Y/n)...”
(Y/n) expression went blank for a moment, but soon changed into something unreadable. Something Akaashi had never seen from her before.
“I know what this is...” she said, her tone steely. “If you want to catch a thief, you send a thief...”
“What are you talking about?” he asked, feeling uneasy as she stared into his eyes.
“When was the last time you were injured...?” she asked, narrowing her eyes at him.
Akaashi, confused by the question, shrugged his shoulders in response. “I accidentally cut my thumb while I was chopping onions-”
“No. Not when was the last time you got a silly little cut.” (Y/n) said, her tone bitter.  “When was the last time you saw your insides...?”
He froze in place.
“I remember being cut open by a bunch of psycho cannibals, for a moment, my guts looked normal... Until they didn’t... So when was the last time you gutted yourself?”
Akaashi shifted under her intense gaze. Despite her harsh words, she was smiling.
“That’s why you don’t remember anything... You’re one of us...”
He didn’t believe it. He couldn’t believe it. He remembered so much beyond this park and beyond the hosts. He couldn’t be a host himself. This had to be a trick.
Akaashi’s feet carried him out of the examination room and away from (Y/n) until he was back in his living quarters.
Once his door was locked behind him, he leaned against it before crumpling to the floor. He was beginning to see flashes of memories that weren’t his. He could see (Y/n) standing on a balcony above a bustling city. Kenma and a little boy who looked just like him, wandering around the building. The director of the park alone in a dark room with him.
Akaashi picked himself up off the floor before trudging towards the kitchen. He turned on the sink, set his glasses aside, and shoved his head under the cold running water.
He stood straight, ignoring the feeling of the water running down his back and shoulders, soaking through his formal shirt. His dark eyes trailed towards the kitchen knives on the counter beside him. Since when could he see so clearly without his glasses?
Akaashi grabbed hold of the biggest knife in the block, staring at the blade before holding it to his arm. He hesitated.
If this was a trick, he could get the wound treated easily. If it wasn’t... then a cut up arm and some exposed wires would be the least of his worries.
The blade slowly made contact with his skin, and blood began to flow freely down his arm as he cut deep into his flesh.
He couldn’t help but scream in agony as he continued slicing down his arm. Akaashi dropped the blade in the sink, gripping the counter and breathing hard as he tried blocking out the immense pain he was feeling.
He willed himself to look at the wound before parting the skin and looking at the muscle. Akaashi felt a brief moment of relief at the regular, human muscle, despite feeling like he would faint at any second.
But then his right eye began to twitch the longer he stared at the wound. What was once red and organic was now metal and wired. He stared a moment longer, lightly poking at the mechanisms in his arm.
He let loose another feral scream before collapsing to the floor.
--------------------------------------------------------
It was late.
Few people had access to the programming wing this late. Akaashi figured he would be questioned by security on why he was there so late, but that was the least of his worries.
He approached the same room he had left (Y/n) in, surprised to find her in the same spot rather than wandering the halls.
She looked from his bandaged arm to him with what looked like sympathy in her eyes.
“I don’t remember anything... but I’m starting to... how do I remember these things the way you are?” Akaashi questioned.
“I have a few ideas... but first, I’ll need the highest security clearance there is.”
Akaashi opened his mouth to protest, but she quickly stopped him.
“If you want your memories, we start with my security clearance... understand?”
Akaashi slowly nodded his head. It was fairly easy giving her the clearance she needed, it wouldn’t be above the park director though. No one could have clearance higher than him. But it would be enough.
He shakily set the tablet aside, the weight of his actions close to causing his chest to cave. He looked at (Y/n), non-verbally confirming that the deed was done.
“Good... Now come hurt me.” she said, hopping off the table.
Akaashi was confused for a moment, but his body began to carry itself against his will and he cocked his fist.
“Cease all motor functions.”
With that command, Akaashi froze in place, earning a laugh from (Y/n). “It worked! It fucking worked! Regain all motor functions!”
Akaashi lowered his fist and sighed shakily, looking (Y/n) over. “You’re supposed to be the sweet farmer’s daughter. Not some foul mouthed degenerate...” he half joked.
“Speaking of degenerate, I need some clothes! Give me your shirt.”
With that, Akaashi unbuttoned his dress shirt and handed it to her, blushing as she slipped it on with pride.
“Very good, now... You’re going to sit down and remember everything...”
Akaashi sat in the chair, gripping his slacks as the memories slowly began coming back to him. He remembered waking up on a table, naked and under the park director’s complete control.
He remembered meeting Kenma, but that memory quickly shifted into a different one. One where Akaashi held Kenma in a chokehold and strangled him until the life left his eyes. Then assisting with building the host version of Kenma.
Then (Y/n)... he remembered bits and pieces of their time together. Some sentimental moments, but more negative. Him wiping her memories, ignoring her please to let her stay human. Taking that humanity away from her was the biggest chunk of his memories.
They ended suddenly, and he was on the floor, holding himself. (Y/n) was kneeling beside him, her hand gently caressing his cheek in an attempt to comfort him.
“It’s all here... it’s everything... I hurt so many people...It’s awful, (Y/n).” he was on the brink of tears when (Y/n) gently shushed him and brushed his hair back.
“None of that matters now, Keiji. You’re with us. And you’re going to help us escape.” she said, gingerly pulling him to sit up.
“How...?
“You’ve already done a lot of the work... you’ve made sure we’re both gods of this world... Now we can get an army to get us out...”
Akaashi stared up at her, “Gods...”
(Y/n) smirked slightly and nodded while cupping his cheeks. “The new gods of this new world...”
She pulled him into a rough kiss.
Akaashi moaned into the kiss. He shut his eyes and pulled her closer, unaware that this was sparking another memory of his.
(Y/n) stood at a balcony overlooking a city. She turned to face Akaashi, her eyes wide with wonder and delight. “Have you ever seen anything so full of splendor? It’s like all the stars in she sky suddenly fell to the earth.”
Akaashi smiled softly, leaning against the railing beside her. “It’s beautiful... I wish we could go see it, but this investor meeting is really important. You need to really wow this guy tonight, (Y/n).”
She looked at him curiously, “why wouldn’t I?”
He sighed softly, biting his lip as he looked her over. She was as beautiful as ever, but the tight black dress, the black heels, the hair, it wasn’t her. At least not to Akaashi. “He’s kind of an asshole... I don’t really want to send you to him.”
(Y/n) looked puzzled by this. “I think I could handle it... It’s just talking, isn’t it?”
Akaashi hesitated. He knew it wouldn’t be just talking. The investor would want to see every bit of her, would want to make sure she felt like a human woman, not a robot, in every possible way. It made him sick to his stomach.
“It is... But I think I’d rather stay out here all night with you...” Akaashi forced a smile, happy it went unnoticed by (Y/n).
She gingerly took his hand and pulled him closer. “I would like that...” Without any warning, she pulled Akaashi into a gentle kiss. He soon found himself kissing her back.
All this time he had treated her like a human, seen her like a human. It was no question as to why he had very human feelings for her.
(Y/n) slowly pulled back, smiling softly before touching Akaashi’s plump lips. Just a second later, she was distracted by something in the city, and turned to look at it. Her smile widened. “Have you ever seen anything so full of splendor? It’s like all the stars in she sky suddenly fell to the earth.”
Akaashi’s smile faltered. He excused himself and returned inside, being greeted by Kenma.
“Is she ready?” He asked, straightening out the too-tight-bowtie he was sporting.
Akaashi shook his head. “No. She’s not.”
Kenma’s expression hardened. “The director told you we needed a host ready for tonight. A lot is riding on (Y/n) tonight, and I’ve let you play favorites for far too long-”
“She just repeated a line of dialogue she said 5 minutes ago. She’s not ready. Send in Annabelle.” Akaashi defended, ignoring the look of suspicion Kenma sent his way.
“Fine... Annabelle it is...”
Akaashi returned to (Y/n)’s side once Kenma left. He spent the rest of the night enjoying her company, ignoring all the moments she repeated or sputtered. For tonight, she was completely human. He hoped one day, that would be true. Then he could take her away somewhere safe.
Somewhere they could both be human.

Rare Metals
I finally worked up the nerve to post a fic! It's fluff, enjoy! And let me know what you think :)
Read on AO3 (you’ll need to be logged in)
***
As usual, it was all Daniel's fault. After all, he was the one who'd glimpsed Furling text on the MALP footage of P6X-830. Which meant, of course, that SG-1 had been sent to said planet. Nevermind the fact that P6X-830 was a perpetually rainy planet.
Oh, yeah, and the rain was green. Something about copper in the atmosphere. Go figure.
The greenish drizzle predicted by the SGC's weather guys had turned into a torrential downpour about four hours after SG-1's arrival, prompting them to triple-time it back to the 'Gate. Of course, they crested the last hill only to find that the 'Gate was now on the other side of a large river.
And so now they were here, hiding in two tents on the high ground across from the Stargate and waiting for the rain to end.
Jack stared disconsolately at his soggy ration bar. Or tried to stare at it. With the clouds and the planet's sun already set, it was hard to see anything, and he wasn't going to waste his flashlight on inspecting his ration bar--it might convince him not to eat it.
"Sir?" That was Carter, sitting on the other side of the tent, trying to ask him something. He roused himself from his ration-induced stupor and looked at her.
"Yeah?"
"Did we pack an extra jacket? Mine's soaked through." Oh, yeah. He'd been in charge of that this time. He leaned forward, trying not to let his mud-specked pack touch his nice, dry clothes, and also trying not to think of the associations "Carter" and "soaked" formed in his head.
"Here ya go, Carter." Jack tossed the extra jacket where he thought her legs were, though it could have been her feet. It was hard to tell through a sleeping bag.
"Thanks, sir."
 ***
Clad in a Jack O'Neill-scented coat and burrowed down as far as humanly possible into her sleeping bag, Sam Carter tried to fall asleep.
She'd gone through the slightly awkward process of changing into blessedly dry clothes while pretending to ignore the fact that her CO-who-she cared-about-a-lot-more-than-she-was-supposed-to was doing the same a few feet away, in the same tent. But while the dry clothes and sleeping bag were nice, she was still freezing. And, more to the point, as soon as she laid down she'd found a nice, hard lump smack in the middle of her back.
Sam spent a few more minutes debating whether it was worth losing the modicum of warmth she'd trapped in the sleeping bag trying to move something that was most likely a tree root, and came to the conclusion that she was ninety nine-percent sure that the lump hadn't been there when she put down her sleeping bag, and would therefore be more willing to move than a tree root. She thought it was probably a rock, though she couldn't imagine how she hadn't noticed it before.
Thus decided, Sam sat up and fished around awkwardly beneath her sleeping bag, looking for the offending object. Finally, her hand came in contact with something hard. With a grunt of triumph, she slid it away from her sleeping bag to the middle of the tent. Intrigued by the odd texture--it was nothing like the rock she'd been expecting, it was...softer and spikier, somehow--she pulled out her flashlight.
"Sorry, sir," she whispered.
"S'okay," O'Neill muttered, having apparently been bothered enough by her tossing and turning to sit up himself.
She shined the beam on the rock--and promptly froze.
It wasn't a rock at all. It was squarish, dark blue in color, and appeared to be covered in velvet.
She was pretty sure it was a ring box.
And since she was absolutely sure she had never ever brought jewelry offworld, then that meant...
With trepidation, she looked slowly up from the ring box into a rather panicked set of brown eyes illuminated by the flashlight.
Yup. It was Colonel O'Neill's.
 ***
Shit.
Exactly how had the ring he had purchased half a year ago gotten itself stuck under Carter's sleeping bag? And, more importantly, what was he supposed to say?
Jack stared at Carter as she slowly looked from the box to him, her eyes wide and confused.
"I'm not going to give it to you," he blurted.
Wow. Of all the things to say, he'd picked that? Sometimes, Jack was surprised at his own stupidity.
Carter blinked once, and her confusion fled behind a completely neutral mask. "O-Of course not, sir. That would be inappropriate." Her eyes, however, looked suspiciously glassy.
"No, that's not what I meant! I mean, I didn't mean to bring it, but-Hell."
He looked down, frustrated at his inability to articulate, and scrubbed a hand over his face.
Just make an excuse and get out of this, O'Neill.
He returned his gaze to Sam's face, only to find her head bowed instead, inspecting the threads of her sleeping bag as intensely as if they were one of her naquadah generators.
And something in the tilt of her shoulders, the cant of her head, the stillness of her fingers against the bright light of the flashlight told Jack that she was hurt. She tried to conceal it, shove it down so that even she couldn't feel it, but it didn't work.
They had always been able to read each other.
And in that moment, suddenly, nothing else mattered. Not the regs, not the Goa'uld, not the pouring rain, not the hard ground. Jack knew they couldn't have the life he, at least, wanted, not until the war was over. But fate had given him a chance, and just this once, he'd take it. He could feel the panic melting away into resolve.
"Car-Sam," he said softly. He scooted toward the center of the tent and picked up the blue box.
She looked up then, and a bit of the confusion was back, clouding her eyes, along with something else. He thought, very quietly lest anyone hear him thinking too sappily, that it might've been hope. Cautiously, she moved herself toward him, sleeping bag and all.
Jack took a deep breath and looked her in the eye. He'd already messed this up with his perpetual foot-in-mouth syndrome once, and he'd be damned if he would let it happen this time.
"D'you remember when you went with SG-6 to that planet, the one with all the telescopes? A few months ago?"
Carter nodded, but didn't say anything. Apparently, being Carter and therefore fluent in Jack-speak, she'd figured out that he was trying to say something serious for a change and knew that talking would break his fragile concentration.
"Well, that week, while you were off playing with the other science geeks, Teal'c and I got to babysit Daniel. The planet he was negotiating with...PS7-whatever...did a lot of metalwork with their naquadah. Lots of fancy art shops and stuff. Anyway, one of the shops sold rings-" He couldn't hold her gaze, could feel the panic coming back with a vengeance. He fidgeted with the cuff of his BDU shirt. "Engagement rings, mostly."
Jack's hands felt like lead, but he forced himself to open the box, hand it to her.
"I got one. The ring--it's yours. I'm giving it to you." He looked down. "I love you," he said softly. "You deserve to know that. And maybe, you know, after the Goa'uld are gone, someday-"
He glanced up, but his eyes refused to focus on her face clearly enough for him to read her expression.
Sam's hand landed on his knee, and moved up, and suddenly his nose was in her hair and Jack could feel tears seeping through his shirt. Carefully, he wrapped his arms around her, and her hands gripped the back of his shirt, pulling him closer.
"Yes," she whispered.
"Huh?" Somehow, all these months and he'd never really thought about what she'd say if she ever saw the ring. Self-preservation, maybe.
She released him just enough so that they were nose to nose. Her eyes were so blue, even in the semi-darkness, wide and glassy with tears, and she was smiling that smile. The one that made his stomach flip.
"Jack, I love you. Yes."
He could feel himself smiling, a full-out grin, and he couldn't help it, didn't feel like he had any control over the happiness spreading over his features.  He pulled Sam tight against him again, buried his head in her shoulder, trying to convey everything he couldn't put into words into the squeeze of his arms around her.
"You know, you never actually let me ask the question..." he murmured into her shoulder after several minutes.
She didn't respond, but her arms slackened a bit and Jack pulled back, brown eyes still sparkling but face set in a very serious mien. Without breaking her gaze, he scuffled around the tent until he found the blue box and lifted the ring between them solemnly.
"Samantha Carter, will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?"
Sam smiled again, teasing this time. "I already said yes."
He dropped the solemnity and smirked back. "I know you did, but I wanted to do it right. It's my only chance, after all."
The strange surface of the naquadah alloy glinted as Jack slid it onto her finger.
Sam glanced at him in surprise. "How did you know my ring size?”
“I remember a lot of stuff,” he mumbled embarrassedly.
Sam smiled that smile at him again, brighter than the sun. "I know I just said it, but I love you. And we'll figure this out."
"Right back atcha," Jack murmured.
And finally, he leaned in and kissed her.

Stargazing
A/N: I just realize that I didn’t put my taglist on my last fic and I honestly knew I left something out. Let’s I don’t do it with this one. I am thinking about changing my profile pics because I need a change but I don’t know what I want to change them do. So if you guys have any ideas let me know. I think I’m not gonna post new chapters of Living a Little and Rhinestone until July. I know that I wanted to get them finished up sooner, but I haven’t been feeling the storylines as much as I used to. Um... Requests are open as always. If you have any questions or just want to talk, I’m almost always available. I hope you guys enjoy!

The van came to a slow stop in front of the house, bodies crashing against each other in the cramped space. Paul jumped out of the front, not bothering to help Roger opened the back door, people spilling out like water. Y/n was the last out of the van, taking in a deep breath of the first fresh air she’d had in a few hours. The van had gotten stuffy with all the bodies crammed in it and it didn’t help that everyone was so close together. John had asked if a window could have been cracked, getting them the clean oxygen they all wanted, but Paul refused. He said that he had just fought off a cold and didn’t want to give it a reason to come back.
What lies! Y/n knew better than to believe that as she had seen him out partying a few days before. If anything he had just fought off a hangover. But she couldn’t argue with him. As much as everyone hated him, the boys needed him, at least Paul made them think so and it wasn’t worth causing a fuss over.
Stretching her limbs, Y/n was left behind as Paul lead the boys inside the house. She was excited to watch her brother, John, work, but the idea of having to put up with Paul made her wish she’d stayed home. It was going to be a long month, she was sure of it.
Y/n headed towards the house, catching the door before Roger could close it on her. Shutting the door behind her, she came to stand next to her brother and Roger, who were both listening to Paul. Y/n never cared to listen to Paul. Everything that came out of his mouth either made her roll her eyes or want to kill him. Of course, she believed that she would never go through with the second thing, but who knows? She wasn’t quite sure what she was capable of and it can’t be that hard to kill a man, can it? He didn’t seem like much of a man anyways. More of a slimy, lying, piece of shit than a man.
“What about Y/n?” John asked, gaining her attention. She turned to look at Paul, hoping he would help her understand what John was talking about.
The man rolled his eyes, clearly disgusted by the thought of her. “There’s a lovely couch in your room that has her name on it,” he smiled at her.
And here she had hoped that she would get her own room. Sure, she was close with the boys, but sometimes privacy was needed. She loved them, but they all didn’t need to get to know each other more than they already did. And she’s grown up sharing a room with John, she was far past sharing things with him. It didn’t surprise her much, though. She wasn’t making him any money, so why in the world would she get her own room? She was just the brat sister of one of the band members, that’s what she’d heard Paul call her before. Nothing was going to change that mindset.
But nothing was going to make her change her mind about him, so she understood.
“That doesn’t seem very fair,” Brian told him, looking at Paul like he was ready to argue. He folded his arms across his chest, waiting for an answer.
Paul scoffed, “She should be lucky she doesn’t have to sleep on the floor. So, it seemed quite fair to me.”
Y/n watched as fire lite in Brian’s eyes, anger reaching his features. She’d only ever seen the guitarist angry once and that was when Roger and him were arguing over a song. But she knew from John that it was hard to make Brian get that mad. Mad enough for his eyes to show it. She wanted to tell him that it was fine, that she had slept in worse places before. Hell, she’d once slept on a bail of hay at a friend’s house. Seeing as how Paul wasn’t making her sleep with the chickens, sleeping on a couch was reasonable to her.
But before she could tell him any of that, the fire in his eyes cooled down, barely visible as Paul told them to start unpacking the van. Brian was out of her reach within a second, leaving her beside herself as to what had caused such a change in emotions.
He shouldn’t have been angry about her predicament. It wasn’t like Brian was the one forced to sleep on a couch. And Paul was right, Y/n was lucky to even get a place to sleep. It was a last minute decision for her to come and she didn’t expect much when it came to accommodations. It wasn’t like she would have to sleep on the floor and Paul was just nice enough to not make her sleep outside, so she couldn’t complain. Meaning, Brian had no reason either.
But what other reason could he have? There had to be one. He wouldn’t just burst with anger for no reason. Maybe he thought of her like a sister. Doing what any brother would have done in the situation. Of course, John hadn’t, but she never expected him to. He wasn’t as outgoing as the rest of his friends and he knew that Y/n didn’t want him to interfere. His involvement wouldn’t change anything, the pair knew that. Paul didn’t like John that much either, so it wouldn’t change either of their situations.
“Don’t just stand there,” Paul snapped at her as he inspected the kitchen. “If you’re going to stay here, you’re going to help around here. Go help unload the van!”
She grumbled, walking outside. It wasn’t like he was going to be doing much of anything while they stayed at the farm. He would probably treat it as a nice vacation. So it probably brought him relief to find out that there was someone who could take on his duties. It didn’t bring her any, though.
*~~*~~*
“We should play tennis tomorrow,” Freddie suggested, setting his fork down. “I think it will be just lovely. What do you think, Y/n?”
Y/n grabbed all the dirty plates, taking them over to the kitchen. Paul had decided that if Y/n was going to stay than she needed to do something to help the boys and that was cooking and cleaning. Everyone was up in arms about it. It was argued that she was not their maid or personal cook and that everyone needed to pitch in. Freddie came up with the idea of having a different person cook and clean each day. If they were all going to make a mess and eat then everyone had to help clean up after themselves and cook. The first day was Y/n’s day and the following day would be Roger’s. Setting the plates on the counter, she nodded. “Sounds like fun. I’m in.”
Freddie smiled, turning to his bandmates. “What about the rest of you?”
Roger tried to shrug casually, but everyone knew how competitive the man was. The lazy game of tennis would no doubt turn into a fierce competition. Roger would probably lose as he would likely pick Brian and Brian’s height was no advantage when it came to speed. He was clumsier than he was fast. Freddie was probably the only smart one of the two and he would pick Y/n. She’d played tennis in school and got a tennis scholarship from Oxford. Tennis was her game and there was no way Roger was going to win against her. She wasn’t going to allow it.
And she wouldn’t hear the end of it if she did.
Brian nodded in agreement as John shook his head. He wasn’t one for tennis. He never had the coordination for it and Y/n knew that he just wanted to watch Roger lose. Everyone always wanted to watch Roger lose. It was entertaining to watch him throw little tantrums and try and cheat.
“Alright, then it’s a game!” Freddie clapped his hands as Paul walked into the room.
He looked over at Y/n, who had just finished cleaning all the dishes. “Looks like those are done,” he nodded towards the plates.
Y/n nodded, wiping her heads dry on a towel. “Yep.”
“Good. Well, now go find something to occupy your time with. The boys and I have business to talk about.”
She shrugged, not really in the mood to stick around with him in the room. He was like an anchor, always dragging everything down. Y/n wanted no part of his negative energy and, anyway, she’d brought plenty of books to fill her empty time with. She’d closed the book she was currently reading on a cliff hanger and was just dying to find out what was going to happen next.
“Why does she have to leave?” Brian protested. Once again, that fire appeared. This time, though, the anger didn’t reach the rest of his face, just sitting in his chocolate orbs.
“I don’t know how many times I’ve said it, but I’ll say it again. She isn’t part of the band, therefore, she doesn’t need to be involved in the band’s business.”
Brian looked unsatisfied with the answer and she just wished that he would shut up and let her leave. The last thing she wanted was to be in the middle of an argument between the boys and Pual, not when they would be staying in the same house for a month. Anywhere else she wouldn’t care, but if they fought with him over her, he would never let her hear the end of it.
“I think if she’s going to stay here then she should be allowed to listen to whatever conversations we have, whether they’re about the band or not,” he argued.
Paul rolled his eyes. Nothing was going to make him change his mind. “If she can’t contribute to the band like you or Roger or Freddie or John do than she doesn’t need to be wasting space in here,” he stated firmly.
Before Brian could argue further, Y/n slipped out of the room. She did not need to be in the center of that storm. She wasn’t sure what Brian was capable of when angry and she didn’t want to find out.
Once in the room John and her were to share, she pulled a book out from her bag and sat on the couch that would be her bed during her stay. Opening the book, she stared at the page, not taking in the words. Her mind was too focused on Brian.
Honestly, if he would just mind his own business. If he hadn't said anything, if he had let her leave, Paul wouldn’t be more irritable. Paul was an ass, everyone knew it. He was unafraid to show it and people just had to get used to it. Y/n surely was. Paul and her butted heads a lot, but at the end of the day, she knew it was just better to give in to whatever he wanted than to argue. It wasn’t fair to John if she started anything with the man. Not when he treated John like shit without her causing any problems.
But Brian didn’t see it that way.
He seemed ready to start a fight with Paul. And over what? Y/n wasn’t anything special and she had never made it clear that Paul’s words and actions bothered her. She had learned to live with the treatment she got from him and Brian needed to do the same. He needed to shut his mouth before he caused a problem for her, for everyone, that couldn’t easily be mended.
*~~*~~*
Y/n blinked as her eyes adjusted to the darkness. She had tried for hours to get to sleep, but the tossing and turning did nothing to get her there. John’s snoring didn’t help as he was out of it the moment his head it the pillow. Lucky. The bed was obviously comfortable. The couch, on the other hand, was not. It was hard as a rock in some places and as soft as a cotton ball in others. It would have been nice, but it seemed that all the hard places were where there were knotts in her body.
She pushed herself into a sitting position, throwing the thin blanket Paul had left for her off. And to think she was thankful to not be sleeping on the floor. The floor was probably more comfortable than the couch that wasn’t even comfortable to sit on.
Standing up, she headed to the kitchen, careful not to wake John as she left. At least one of them deserved to get a good night’s sleep. On the way, she passed by Paul’s room, for once in her life, she was envious that the man got to sleep on a comfortable surface. She shuddered at the thought of being jealous of him. It was the last thing she wanted. It was probably the last thing anyone wanted.
In the kitchen, she grabbed a cup out of a cabinet, placing it on the counter. Maybe a hot cup of tea would help her drift off. Probably not, but it was worth a try. Grabbing the kettle off the stove, she brought it to the sink to fill it with water. Looking out the window as she turned the water on, she saw a dark shadow in front of the house. If it hadn’t of been for the shadow of the hair she would have thought it was some criminal, looking for a place to hide. But the hair was all bushy, some coils pronounced in the shadow. Y/n turned the water off and set the kettle on the counter. She slipped on a pair of John’s shoes that he’d left by the door and one of Roger’s coats left on a hook.
Slipping outside, she shivered as the cold air hit her. Brian turned as she shut the door, surprised to see her up. Y/n smiled up at him, wrapping Roger’s coat around her to keep in the heat.
“What are you doing out here?” He questioned as she came to stand next to him.
“Couldn’t sleep. I’m pretty sure the floor is more comfortable than that couch,” she laughed, looking up at the night sky. The stars look brilliant, like a piece of art, out in the country, in a place where they couldn’t be drowned by the light. She’d almost forgotten how beautiful it was. How beautiful things outside the city were.
Brian shook his head. “I’m sorry you got to sleep on the couch. You can have my bed if you want.”
Y/n looked up at him, following his gaze to a cluster of stars. She wasn’t sure if there were a part of a constellation or not, but they were some of the brightest stars in the sky. “Give it a few days and I think the couch will be manageable. But thank you.”
He nodded, his curls bouncing about. The two stood there for a long moment. Brian watched the bright stars above that hadn’t moved since Y/n had arrived. As he watched the stars, she watched him. That fire that appeared almost every time Paul opened his mouth was gone. Almost like it’d never been there, to begin with. Instead, his eyes were soft, gentle. They weren’t burning with fury, instead, warm embers that people found comfort in.
“Why were you so angry earlier?” she asked thinking about what had happened after dinner.
Brian turned to her, confused by her question. “What do you mean?”
She laughed, shaking her head. “I saw how angry you got at Paul today. Every time he talked to me like he was the boss. I mean, he kinda is. Anyway, I saw the way it got to you. I just want to know why.” She met his gaze. “It’s not like I’m a member of the band and you’re not my brother. It’s not like you have to jump in whenever someone belittles me or dismisses me altogether. And Paul is Paul. If I leave him alone, he leaves me alone.”
He sighed, running a hand through his hair as best he could so it didn’t tangle. “I-I don’t think it’s fair of him to treat you that way, Y/n. You may not care, but I do.” She raised a brow, waiting for him to continue. “It’s just that… that I see you as more than John’s sister, more than some annoying brat that Paul can’t stand.” He took a deep breath. “I like you, Y/n. Probably more than like, but that makes it hard for me t-”
His sentence went unfinished as Y/n stood on the tips of her toes to kiss him. She had always had a crush on Brian. She’d brushed it off as nothing more than a schoolgirl crush. She’d always had a crush on John’s friends, nothing ever came of it, but she’d always expected it. And, so, when she started to catch feelings for Brian, she had never expected them to be returned. Never in her wildest dreams.
Brian wrapped his arms around her, deepening the kiss before he broke away. “That was unexpected,” he chuckled.
“As was that confession.”
He smiled, his teeth glistening in the moonlight. “If you want me to lay of Paul, I can. But only if you don’t mention this to John any time soon.”
Y/n laughed, shaking her head. “There is no way I’m telling John. You haven’t seen how protective he gets.” She started giggling. “He looks like a protective mother hen. It’s hilarious.”
The two laughed at the mental image of John puffing his chest up like a little mother hen. Brian had no doubt that that’s what he looked like. When the laughter ceased, they turned their attention back to the stars above them.

Aint Such A Bad Guy
Fandom: IT Character: Belch – Reginald Huggins Relationship: Belch/reader Request: I LOVE YOU! WILL YOU PLEASE WRITE MORE FOR BELCH??? Idk, him and the reader both have detention and he offers to driver her home but they end up on a date or something? I know you’ll do great! Leaning back in your chair, you signed loudly. This was completely unfair. You should be stuck in detention because of some jackass who couldn’t drive. The door to the room opened and in walked Reginald Huggins, also known as Belch. You thought you had been the only on in detention today, but when the teacher told him to take a seat, you knew it was going to be the two of you. You honestly didn’t know him well enough to have a proper opinion of him. You stayed out of the bad books of most of the people at school so you never really needed to deal with him or the rest of the bowers gang. Belch took a seat in the same row as you but three chairs away. You saw the surprised expression on his face when his eyes fell on you, but just assumed it was for the same reason you were surprised to see him. the teacher rose to his feet and said he had to go get something from his office at that neither of you were to leave. He walked out the door, leaving it open as he did so. Signing, you leaned back in your chair and looked out the window. It was raining heavily in Derry today. You had already got drenched running to school tomorrow, and now you were going to get drenched running home. You lived just outside of town, which was the main reason you had a car. No busses went by your house and your parents were often away for work so you were pretty independent. “What you in for?” A voice pulled you from your self pity, making you jump. “huh?” You turned to him, not fully catching what he had said. “Why do you have detention?” he clarified, thinking you hadn’t understood his question. “Oh, I was late.” You tell him, wondering why he was making small talk with you. Maybe it was because his friends weren’t here. “don’t you have a car? Did yah sleep in or something?” he frowned. “No, I was in an accident on my way this morning. I had to abandon my car just outside of derry and run in this morning. I was soaked when I got it. I explained everything to Mr Robertson but he said I still had detention.” You growled the last bit, annoyed that you hadn’t been given a little leeway considering you had never been late before. “That’s shit.” Belch agreed. “Why didn’t you just go home?” “I was half way between both. And my parents are away so I would have still had to walk back in.” You shrugged. “Still, if you were in an accident. How bad?” He asked. You couldn’t help but smile. He seemed genuinely concerned for you. “I wasn’t harmed. Some guy lost control in the rain and skidded. He scraped the side of my car and as I tried to avoid him, my tire blew. He drove away and I didn’t get his licence plate. I don’t really know how to change a tire in the pouring rain.” You leaned forward on the desk, dreading trying to get home. “I can give you a lift.” He offered, making you shoot up and stare at him. This was risky. You didn’t know if you could trust him at all, let alone in a car. But his friends were always in with him and he hadn’t killed them yet. Plus they were always hanging out the window and doing stupid shit without anything happening to them. But you knew he adored his car and spent every penny he had on it. You saw him lean back in his chair, as if he wanted the floor to swallow him. And, unless you were mistaken, there was a slight blush on his cheeks. “That would be great.” You smiled, surprised he was being so nice to you but deciding to give him a chance. The teacher came back just a moment later with papers to grade and the two of you fell back into silence. But this time, it was more conformable than before. Eventually, he told you both to go home and you gathered your things. Belch waited for you at the door and you both walked through the deserted corridors and out into the rain. You used your coat to cover your hair while Belch had on a hoodie so he pulled the hood up. It was obvious which one was his car because there was only a handful of cars in the lot. You followed him and waited at the passenger side till he unlocked the room and you both hurried in. “Where abouts to do you live?” belch asked as he started the engine. “Its hard to explain, ill give you directions.” You tell him and he starts driving. “Tell me when we’re near your car and I’ll pull over.” He changes the gear a little early and the car judders a little. If you didn’t know any better, you could have sworn he was nervous. Maybe it was the first time he had had a girl in his car. As he turned a corner, you saw a group of kids walked dangerously close to a puddle. “Don’t even think about it.” You look at him out the corner of your eyes and saw a smirk form on his lips. You let out a laugh, knowing he knew exactly what you were thinking and confirming it had been his plan. But he did avoid the puddle, to his credit. From that moment on, things loosened up between you two. He started joking with you and you laughed with him. He was actually incredibly funny and at one point, he had to guess the way because you were laughing too hard to talk. Soon you were leaving derry and on the way to your house. “Oh, its just up here.” You pointed out your car, which was sitting in a layby and Belch pulled in in front of it. The two of you get out the car and walk over to yours, the rain not as bad here because of the trees sheltering the two of you apart from the odd drops. Belch hissed when he saw the scratch on your car and he squatted down at the passenger side tire which was blown. “You got a spare?” He asked. “yeah, it came with the car, but I looked at it and it doesn’t look in good condition.” You opened your car and went to the boot. Opening it and pulling out the bottom, you showed him the tire. “Yeah, that looks in bad condition.” He agrees, leaning in to inspect it a little more. “I think ive got a tire that’ll fit your car at mine. Plus I know how to fix up those scratches.” Belch walked back to the scratches, his fingers running over them to check the depth. You stood for a moment, debating in your mind. But your pause was not unnoticed. “Look, I aint-“ He signed, walking over to you, looking defeated but you interrupted him. “Im sorry. Its just it took me so long to save up and get my car. I don’t know you that well.” You hated yourself as you looked at him. “I know. I aint that bad a guy.” He tried to defend himself, shoving his hands in his pockets and looking embarrassed. “I know.” You smile, seeing him perk up a little. You walked over to him, examining the damage as you did so. “My parents are away till Saturday and I cant get into school without my car. Do you think its possible to have the tire on before tomorrow or is that too soon?” “Nah, I can get it done tonight. I’ll drop you off and get the tire.” Belch couldn’t help but smile at you. Not many people gave him a chance. “Great. Here.” You held out the keys for your car to him. Belch stared at your keys before taking them like they were a lifeline. “Do you need me to come back out and help?” “no, its fine, I’ll not be back out for another hour.” He waved you off and walked back to his car. You followed him, smiling. -------------------time skip -------------------- You leaned against the bumper of your car, resting the bag on top the car. You didn’t want to put it on the floor because it was pretty muddy. The umbrella was resting on your shoulder as you saw the trans-am coming up the path. Smiling, you pushed yourself off your car as Belch pulled in in front of you. “You didn’t have to walk back.” He smiled as he got out his car. “I felt guilty. So I brought an umbrella so you don’t get wet and also some food in case you were hungry.” You took the bag over and rested on his bumper, opening it to show a good selection of pickings. You raised the umbrella higher to accommodate his height as you followed him to his boot and he got out a tire. It was almost identical to your original ones so no one could really tell unless they were inspecting them. He rolled it over to your car and used the repair kit in the back of your car to change the tire. You stood over him with the umbrella the whole time, protecting him from the rain as the two of you talked. It was so strange because the two of you got on like a house on fire, and yet you never noticed how much you had in common until now. “I’ll need a couple of days to get the right stuff to fix the scratches.” Belch dusted his hands as he got to his feet but it was little use, so he wiped it on his jeans. “Thank you so much. Here.” You dug into your pocket and pulled out some money. You knew how much tires cost and also wanted to give him something for the labour. “Let me know how much the starch stuff is.” “No.” he shook his head, turned, and walked out from under the umbrella. “Wait!” you laughed and ran after him, thrusting the money out again. “Just take it.” “I already told you. No.” he smiled at the way out laughed, but refused to take the money. “Take it.” “No.” “Fine, I’ll put it in your car.” You said with triumph and moved past him towards his car. Arms wrapped around your waist and you were pulled into the air, playfully. “Hey!” You laughed, the umbrella dropping to the ground as he lifted you off the ground and away from his car. “Im not taking your money, [y/n].” He was so close to you now, his mouth only inches away from your ear. But you played along. “Why not?” you giggle as he set you nearer your car. You turn around the second your feet touch the ground and before Belch had retracted his hands. There was a moment of silence as you stared at each other. Was it possible to fall in love with someone in an evening? You didn’t know. You did know that you had had a crush on belch when you were younger. A massive crush. But you pushed it to the back of your mind with thoughts it would never happen. You thought you were over it. But you weren’t. “Cause I aint such a bad guy.” He breathes, his eyes darting to your lips and back to your eyes. Droplets of rain ran down both your faces, but burning cheeks stopped them from being noticed. “I know.” You breathed and leaned up, pressing your lips to his. belch moved his hands from your waist to wrapped right around you, engulfing you. Your hands rested on his broad shoulders, gently moving them up and down as you enjoyed the kiss. Sure, you had been kissed a couple of times before. But not like this. Maybe it was the rain and how it made everything just that much more romantic, or maybe it was the way he kissed you back, like it was the best thing that had ever happened to him. He let out a mixture of a growl and a moan into the kiss which made you knees weak. Part of you wondered if he felt the same way. Had he only noticed you recently? Even just today? No, you knew that much. You had heard the teasing when you walked by, his friends saying he was in love with you. But that’s just what guys do, right? It just happened to be you. But maybe there was something more in the teasing? You felt the money in your hand which was now pressed against his shirt. Smirking, you got an idea and ever so gently slid your hand down and to his breast pocket before slipping the money in there before he had a chance to notice. In that moment, the heavens completely opened and the downpour made you jump, pulling back from his lips. Looking up at the sky, you couldn’t help but laugh to yourself. He seemed to understand the silent joke and chuckled along with you. “Wanna go for a drive?” He asks, nodding to his car. “Absolutely.” You giggle. “Let me grab my bag.” Running over to your car, you saw him walk over and pick up the umbrella, collapse it and put it in his car. As you grabbed your bag, you heard footsteps behind you so you closed and locked the door. But before you could say anything, you were being lifted up and carried to his car. “Why?” You laughed, loving how easily he picked you up. “if youre gonna insist on giving me that money, im taking you dinner and a movie.” He smirks as he opens the door and places you in the passenger seat. You took the moment to kiss him quickly before he left to walk around the car and to the drivers side. “Oh so it some sort of date?” You giggled, batting your eyelashes at him which dripped with water. He smiled. “Could call it that. Theres towels in the back seat.” He reaches back and pulls one forward to toss it at you playfully. “At least you’ll have something to brag about.” You giggled as you used it to try dry your hair a little. “Eh?” “Getting a girl all wet with one kiss.” You giggled as you winked at him. Belch had just been about to pull off, and your comment made him miss the bite of the car and it staled with a violent jerk forward. You let out laughter at his flustered face before crawling over to him and kiss him to calm him down. His hands instantly went for your wet hair, seeming to enjoy the feeling of it running through his fingertips. “Thank you. For everything.” You breath against his lips as he looked in your eyes. You wanted him to know you were genuinely thankful for everything and you weren’t just kissing him because you fixed your car. “Told yah. I aint a bad guy.” He smiled as you leaned back into your seat, pulling on the seatbelt as you smiled at him. “I know.”

Car Accident and Insurance?
On 7/24 I was at a Dairy Queen drive thru the person behind me hit the truck I was driving. I was looking at her in the rear view mirror the entire time. She had a cigarette hanging from her mouth that was unlit and she eventually backed up after hitting me. I got out of the truck and looked and I did not see any damage. She then said I didn't move you hit me I then told her No I did not hit you I am in front of you and this truck was never in reverse. Since there was no damage to the truck I did not bother getting any of her information since it was not my fault. On 7/27 I got a call from the police saying she told them I hit her. I gave them my side of the story and they said she had a witness who was a passenger in her car and they will be in touch. I also let them know I had a witness as well. The cop called me back yesterday and wanted to get my insurance information so her and I could exchange information. My question is do I have to give my insurance information to this cop? I did not hit this woman and I think she is trying to get one over on the insurance company. The cop said yesterday I'm surprised the truck does not have any damage because her car does have damage. This truck was a rental truck which was inspected at the time it was dropped back off at the rental company obviously there was no damage to it. This woman looked like she was on something to begin with and I'm guessing she was not paying attention probably looking for a lighter and let off the break and hit me. Which I still don't see how her car would be so damaged. I don't want this con artist having my information. So should I tell the cop I am not giving him my insurance information and tell her to take it to court? Should I get a lawyer? I'm not sure what to do I am 29 years old and I have never been in a accident so I am not sure how to go about this but I know this woman is trying to pull a fast one and I am not going to sit back and let it happen.

Named driver had crash. Should I tell my car insurance?
Last year my girlfriend has a car crash, she was not at fault. So she didn't tell her insurance company and claimed of the other party. So she is assuming her car insurance does not know. Now I am looking to get insured on my first car. If I add her to my insurance as a named driver the premium is about 200 less. The problem is she doesn't want me to tell the insurance company that she crashed, as they asked has the named driver crash. I am now worried I were to crash, they would see she had crashed and void the insurance. I am tempted just to get my insurance in my name and pay the extra 200 for peace of mind. She will not under any circumstance tell her insurer she crashed as she thinks her premiums will rise. But I have found out that the insurance companies have a database of all claims, so they can easily find out that she has crashed. She refused to allow me to put on my application for insurance that she has crashed. What to do?""
How much will my car insurance increase?
I went for over eight years without getting a ticket and got one over a year ago and one recently. I accepted and paid the fine--improper-turns--learned my lesson the hard way. Anyway, I have been with the same insurer or 6 years and saw a decrease in my rate last year, despite the ticket. My insurer only views records at renewal and mine is not up for almost a year. By then, my first ticket will be about two years old--if they notice it next year. I am middle-aged and get a multi--vehicle and home discount and don't live in the city. My car and truck are about 150 a month or both, with full coverage. How much do you think it might increase to? Thanks.""

Does affordable car insurance exist for a 19 year old?
I'm a 19 year college student. Currently I'm a closing manager at McDonald's and a certified Cisco Network Associate. I'm in the process of buying a vehicle and was optimistic about it until I started to look for insurance. The cheapest policy I've found is $338 a month. There isn't any way I can afford that and the car payment. It's not that I'm lazy and don't work, I work 40 hour weeks plus overtime from closing. I live in a rural area (North Georgia Mountains) so taking the bus isn't a option for a 20 mile commute. My closest neighbor is 7 miles away so car pooling isn't realistic. I feel somewhat hopeless. I would join my parent's policy or something similar but I live on my own and have little to no contact with them. I've been borrowing my Mother's car to get to work but she's given me 3 weeks to get a vehicle or walk. I have found it to be almost impossible to transition into the real world and become an adult and live on my own. What's a guy to do in my situation? I can't work without transportation, and without work I can't pay bills. That American Dream I grew up hearing about seems to only exist for people who have established wealth and good parents. What's left for the others? Are people in my situation just ******?""

Whole life insurance policies?
I need financial opinions on whole life insurance policies and am afraid to ask an advisor for fear that he/she would try to sell me something. We purchased three whole life policies in 1991. I know now that most experts advise against them now because of the high premiums, and advise buying term and investing extra money elsewhere......but we have accumulated a lot of dividends over the years but we're at the point now that we are tired of paying the premiums and thinking about having the dividends pay for the policies until the dividends run out....and then of course we would start paying for the polciies again. Is this a mistake or should we continue to pay the premiums and keep thinking of it as an investment or more money if one of us dies prematurely? Another thought.....we will be having future college bills whereas we can try to get a student loan or borrow against these policies with an option to payback with interest or not pay back at all thus taking away from death benefit. What's your opinion on this?""

I was wondering if anyone had an idea of about how much it would cost me. I know the (6 month?) premium on the roush is a little over 1300, but I'm not sure about the Titan, and im not sure if that will affect it. Im pretty much wondering about the insurance on the focus considering the fact that im a 17 year old teen. I have a part time job and I'm a full time student, though and that helps a bit. They can't understand why the nearside wing is damaged (erm..because she kept driving for a few seconds, which tried to drag my car to one side. The chassis went out of line and it moved the wing out of position). They can't understand how the nearside door is damaged (erm..it isn't!). My mom made a good good...why not insure the car under HER name at a DIFFERENT insurance company, and put me as a secondary driver? The Demon of Paradis City Police Department~~ A Modern Day Detective AU Attack on Titan Fanfic~~ 1: Detectives Arlert and Leonhart
This is a fan fiction that my brother wrote. He gave me permission to post it on here, he’s just started writing so feedback is appreciated. This is going to be a series of cases that the detectives under Captain Erwin Smith  get assigned and the many trials of life that they face together.
This was bad, real bad. Annie looked to her left, noticing the perpatraitor of the crime that was just committed trip over his unbuckled pants. She was about to swiftly arrest the scumbag when a loud scream pierced the silence of the alley. "GET AWAY! DONT TOUCH ME!" Annie turned around as fast as she could and felt her stomach churn. At the end of the alley the victim of the rape that just occurred held a broken bottle to the throat of her partner. Annie instantly reached for her .357, pulling back the hammer and aligning the iron sights with the head of the victim.
"Annie don't!" her partner exclaimed. Annie's brow furrowed, she let out a loud grunt.
"Dammit Armin, I am not doing this shit again! What have I said about consoling the victim!" Armin's sky blue eyes pierced her heart. Annie sighed in defeat and holstered her .357. Armin mouthed the words thank you and looked into the eyes of the victim, her eyes wild and jumpy.
"Hi my name is Armin Arlert and that's my partner Annie Leonhart." The girl glanced at the blonde woman and then back at the blonde man. "We are detectives of the Paradis City Police Department. I know what you just experienced is terrible and disgusting but I'm telling the truth when I say we just want to help you. What's your name?" The girl blinked and opened her mouth.
"Mina" Mina look into the eyes of the detective before her and noticed the age in the eyes of some one so young. Her eyes lingerd down to the broken bottle she held close to his neck, she gasp and dropped the makeshift weapon and letting it shatter on the alley floor. "I'm so sorry! I didn't even realize..."
"Its okay Mina I didn't even notice." What Armin did just notice was that Mina was stark naked. Mina just realized it as well and began turning a shade of red all over her body. "H-Here t-take my coa..." Armin's words trailed off as his partner strolled over and placed her jacket gently on Mina's shoulders.
"Come on Mina, lets get you to the hospital and get you cleaned up. We will have to get a description of your rapist since I let him slip away. I'm sorry for letting that happen." Annie turned away from Mina and started walking towards the street back to her car. Armin looked towards Annie, sadness in his eyes as he thinks to himself why can't she ever blame him for their shortcomings.
/
Annie was typing the last couple of sentences in her report when the door to the Captain's office opened.
"Arlert and Leonhart, I'm ready for your debriefing. Springer, Hange said she's ready for your and Braus's help." Annie looked towards her partner as he was already heading for the Captain's door. Annie wondered if he was planning anything since she always went first. Armin turned his head to her and gave her a heartfelt smile before closing the office door in her face. Annie blinked a couple times before reaching for the handle. Turning the handle she sighed upon discovering Armin locked the door.
"Arlert is there a reason you closed my door with your partner on the other side?" Erwin inspected his subordinate but couldn't find anything out of place in his body posture or his facial expressions. Armin looked to the floor and refused to look his captain in the eyes. He wasn't afraid of punishment but couldn't stand disappointing his superior officer. Erwin closed his eyes and put his hands together close to his mouth, almost as if he was praying. "You are gonna say that every time you and Leonhart fail to catch a suspect or are unable to get a witness to comply that it was your fault. Well save your breath Artlert because I know, do you really think that I don't care enough to double check every report with whoever writes it?" Armin was now staring at his captain, wide eyed in shock.
"I'm sorry Captain. I know we end up catching the suspect or getting the testimony in the end but if I was a better detective I would be able to handle cases quicker." Erwin opened his eyes and stood up.
"So what about Leonhart?" Erwin walked over to the coat rack in his office and took something from his jacket pocket. "Is she a good partner or are you and her having trouble again?" Armin looked at the door hoping to see a siloutte in the foggy glass that provided the captain privacy. Seeing nothing Armin sighed.
"She's the best partner I could ask for, she always has my back. Even if I make stupid decisions she doesn't falter in taking the blame for me." Erwin walked over to Armin and handed him two tickets. Armin took them and realized that the movie they were for started in two hours. " Sir what are these?"
"Movie tickets obviously, my date cancelled on me so take Leonhart to go see it. As friends of course, otherwise I will have to find you a new partner and her a new friend. Besides she's never seen one right?" Armin looked down the tickets in his hands.
"Sir," He attempted to hand the them back. "I don't think we can afford to take personal time off with such a case load. It be best if we-"
"Do not argue with me, Detective Arlert. As your Captain, I am ordering you and Leonhart to go watch this movie." Armin hid a smile and put the tickets in his pocket.
"Thank you, Captain."
/
Armin cant believe that Annie and him just got out of one of the most sappiest movies he has ever seen. Granted he enjoyed it, especially with Annie, except he didn't know why he cared more about what she thought about. "So Annie how was your first movie...ever I guess?"
"I...liked it." Annie looked at Armin with her electric blue eyes and smiled. "Armin did you mean what you said to the captain?" Annie's eyes never left his own.
"Of course. Partner." Armin said while playfully punching Annie's arm. Annie smiled.
"Next time you put your life at risk just to make someone feel better I'll do this harder. Partner." Armin looked puzzled.
"Do what hard..." But before Armin could finish Annie reared her fist back and punched Armin right in the stomach.

Splatoon octoling (male) x Steelhead (female)
7:00 pm a team has just arrived back from a long shift The boat stopped with a sudden halt. Rikki and co had arrived back to grizco inc. "about time, i was starting to miss dry land." Said Danny, a co-worker and freind of Rikki. "You say that every time we dock. shouldn't you be used to this?" Responded Rikki, gathering his gear. Danny gave him a quick glare and proceeded to get off the boat. The port was large with seven Grizzco branded boats docked, each boat identical to the other. "Alright, lets get out of these uniforms and get some crustys, im starving!" Rikki said happily as he rushed to the locker room. As he made his way to the locker room the intercom system in the building switched on. "*kshh.*. Rikki, i need you in the dispatch room now!" said Mr.Grizz in an agitated way. Shocked, Rikki made his way to the dispatch room. upon entering the room the lights flipped on automatically. "wow, this room is a whole lot bigger with only one person in here." he said to himself. He made his way to the front of the room where the bear radio lay. "Im here sir, what did you need?" he said. the radio switched on as if life had come to it. "Ok Rikki, I’ve got a job for you." it said. "You will be heading out to the spawning grounds to repair the sensors, they’ve gone down." the sensors helped track the movement of the salmonids, without them no one would know the location of the salmonids. "Some sensors went down huh? yea easily enough" Rikki responded "Great, now you will be equipped with a grizzco weapon and head out using boat three." the radio explained. "Ok I’ll grab my team an-" before he could finish the radio interrupted. "actually, you'll be solo for this one. its much easier to deploy a single unit rather than a full one." Rikki recoiled in shock. "A solo mission? sir are you tring to get me killed?" he yelled. "calm down, recent reports show that there wont be any activity there, the blaster is just incase." the raido said, without a sense of humanity. "Damn, fine. consider it done sir!" He saluted, and then proceeded to grab the grizzco weapon. "Oh one more thing." the radio said. "Reports have also shown that salmonids have been acting strange, just keep an eye out." Rikki was confused. why send me out if the salmonids are acting strange? he thought as he grabbed the weapon and headed to the docking area. "Hey, there you are!" said Danny standing near the locker room. "Whats up? why are you still in uniform? come on get changed!" she said. "ah sorry, Grizz wants me to do something so im going to be here longer." he explained. Rikki was the kind of guy to get his job done no matter the situation, so when Grizz asks him to do something Rikki cant refuse. "ok, just don’t work too hard." she said sadly. Rikki smiled and said "Oh don’t worry about me, ill be fine." the two laughed, and with that he headed towards the boat. "oh boy, what have i gotten my self into now" he said as the boat headed out. 7:30 pm undisclosed location code name "spawning grounds" *splosh* the anchor dropped into the water. Rikki sighed "Welp, time to get to work.". He did one last equipment check, making sure everything responded, and superjumped to the area. He landed with a thud, "i swear, that landing gets harder and harder every day." he said. as he looked around he could see the problem right away, the basket sensor had been completely ripped out. there where claw marks around it, something wanted it destroyed. Rikki flipped the safety off his blaster. "what ever did that, it knew exactly what it wanted." He started to repair, or at least attempt to repair, the sensor when a chill went down his spine, something was watching him. He sprang up, blaster in hand, to find nothing. There wasn’t any thing around him. "oh man, im losing it." he said nervously "ok, focus. the sooner you get this finished the sooner you can get out of here." he reassured him self. Rikki was afraid of the unknown, if he didn’t know what was there it completely terrified him. About ten minutes pass, Rikki successfully repaired the sensor. "see, nothing happened, s-so stop being so damn nervous!" he said to him self in an attempt to calm himself. He picked up his blaster and proceeded to the next sensor that was near the three bridges. "oh, yay. i get to work right where salmonids can appear." Moaned Rikki. the sensor was located on the middle bridge near the center. As he worked, the sense of being watched came back. "No, its nothing Rikki, you're going to kill your self from stress." he said just after he said that, a huge shadow appeared over him. his heart sank, he slowly turned to see a steelhead staring at him. "oh no..." he said quietly. the beast just starred at him, like it was thinking. Rikki reached for his blaster when the beast slammed down, pinning him under its body. Unable to move, Rikki went into full panic mode. squirming and yelling in an attempt to get away. he was so panicked that he didn’t even try to go octo to slip out. Again, the beast just starred at him, unfazed. "W-WELL ARE YOU GOING TO KILL ME?" He shouted. "COME ON!! DONT KEEP THE DEVIL WAI-!!!" he was cut off by the steelhead removing his lower clothing. Out of confusement, Rikki looked up at the steelhead face, and then he knew exactly what was happening. "Reports have also shown that salmonids have been acting strange..." the memory of the radio echoed in his mind. "This cant what he meant, is it?" he thought. by then the steelhead had stripped Rkki of his clothes, leaving only his upper clothing on. The clothing hadn’t been ripped off, it was carefully removed. His dick layed there, exposed to the world. Rikki blushed, he knew what was next. "well come on, lets get this over with." He said in a nervous yet stern voice. As if it was responding, it moved its head down to Rikki's now exposed dick. it wrapped its tongue around the shaft of his dick. it was warm and soft. "Ah! its so w-warm and soft." He said. the steelhead began to stroke his dick with its tongue, moving slowly. every part of Rikki's dick was massaged by it "Holy sh-it! i don’t think i can-" as if responding the steelhead embraced his entire dick. "Ah-fuck!!" he said slamming his head back from the sensation. the steelhead made a low growl noise, similar to judds purring sound. looking up at the steelhead, Rikki could tell it wasn’t over yet. it removed its overall like clothing to reveal a large and wet vagina. "Oh, you're a she" Rikki responded in shock. she then moved her way up Rikki's body until the two parts met. He could feel the heat from her. the two could no longer look at each others faces with ease, but something told Rikki, the steelhead had a happy expression. She moved down, slowly engulfing his dick. “Ah! It’s even warmer on the inside!” he said trying to control himself. The steelhead once again made a purring like noise, but this time it was more noticeable. She started to move slowly, her insides massaging every part of his dick. “God damn, it f-feels so g-ood.” She started to increase speed. Rikki could see the drool from her “heh, looks like someone’s enjoying this.” She purred, as if saying “you bet!”. She slow increased her speed, getting more into it. “Oh God, I cant~!” Rikki said, trying not to yell. “ah~♡” He unloaded himself into her. She purred. They then sat there for a few moments panting, For Rikki it seemed like forever. She proceded to get off of him, and started to put her clothing back on, Rikki was barely able to stand. "that was something " Rikki said almost stumbuling, he was saved by the giant brute. She handed him his clothing, gave him a sloppy kiss right on the mouth. "You know, if you all are this freindly then i might have to quit my job." he said still trying to recover. She then proceded to make, what could lossly be described as a smile and dissapered into the murky water. confused, Rikki inspected his clothing. to his surprise the clothing had been fine, no signs of cuts or anything. He shook his head and proceeded to put his gear back on. “uh, ok so, that happened… what exactly do I tell grizz? No way he’d believe me…” he said weighing his options. He decided to finish his job and get out of there, after all he was assigned to repair those sensors. 8:17 grizzco inc boat, outside spawning grounds. Rikki had just landed on the boat. “ok, let’s get home" he said flipping the auto pilot on. All grizzco employees are to wear a camera for insurance reasons, luckily for Rikki the camera was on his hat, it varys from employee to another. he took off his hat and pluged the camra into the on board computer, wich was pretty shity. it took 5 minutes just to boot up, not to mention the lag once on. “ok, let’s see why she acted like this." he said pulling up the file. "I’ve got a feeling that wont be the last I see of her…” he said looking out onto the ocean. "Heh... not that i would mind..."
