Fetch Re;Quest Dev Log #3 - 2/21/2024
Whoops, almost forgot to do this month's dev log!
As I said last time- I'm focusing on the script until it's finished, and I'm making good progress! The word count is at about 34k now.
In my last dev log, I estimated that the game would be around 40k. Now I'm starting to think it will be 45-50k by the time it's finished. Regardless, I'm getting close! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Here's a silly excerpt of Dan and Flora playing an otome game.
I did manage to get one more sprite sketched as well. This time it's a new character!
This is Nona- Lead guitarist, lead singer, manager, and fashion designer for the band Cats Eat Bats! You'll meet a grand total of seven new characters on the very first day of the game.
The last thing I want to show off is this!
I've been playing a lot of Persona 3 Reload, so I got inspired to make some cute "time of the day" transitions to show between sections. I plan on pretty-ing it up a little later on, but for now, I'm proud of it!
Anyway, that's about all I've got this month. Until next time!

☕️ Special Thanks ☕️
As always, thank you so much for the coffee! Your kindness are very much appreciated! ♡
Emilija | Regan | Nela Kovaříková | 1 Anon
Onwards to the progress update.
I had. So. Many. Things. That I actually wanted to complete.
… Alas, work decided to be a bitch and swamp me with things to take care of. To put it simply, there were a lot of issues that caused a lot of overtime work even on weekends, so I had to step away from coding most of the time so I won’t burn myself out.
So yeah, I didn’t manage to complete a lot of features, though I did dabble on some stuff here and there. I’m not happy with the rather small progress either. But life happens, and there are just other things that are more important sometimes. So we just have to let it go and look forward to the next month!
I’d say that this month I was quite productive in terms of organization and planning instead of the actual coding. I have at least identified what I need to write for the ‘free activity’ time of the game, which makes about 30-40% of the gameplay itself. However, actually writing the scenes and executing it is a different effort altogether, which I have only started to embark on.
Still, it’s crazy to think that the development for the full game has been actively going for around three and a half months now. Whew. Knowing that I have a tendency to hyperfocus and then get tired of something after a short time frame, I’m going to at the very least give myself a pat on the back for still keeping this project up and running until now.
More details below ↓
Added Route: Kirishima
Let me preface this first with a declaration: I won’t be adding any more love interest after this. Please please please don’t make me do it 😅 Going through all the plans and re-setting up things to figure out how to add him in was such a painful experience…
But anyway. I will be adding this boy’s route to the full game, because a lot of people seem to want to have him in the game. He does seem like a fun character to write, so I thought I’ll give him a chance.
Gameplay
Places, Schedules, and Hanging Out with the Boys
I think you would have noticed from the last two devlogs, but there are several activities you can do in-game. One of them is to visit a place of your choice at a certain time in a day.
Some places can be unlocked when you reach a certain threshold in a specific stat, and there are others which will be unlocked when you reach a specific threshold in a character’s affection meter. Nai will message you whenever you manage to unlock a new place to visit, so keep a lookout for that!
But what happens when you visit a place?
Well, each character has their own schedules -- which you should be able to figure out either by coincidence or by talking to them at school when prompted to do so. Your Quirk will allow you to see the unlocked schedule of each of the characters, so my advice would be to check it out before deciding where to go! If you manage to come to a specific place at the correct time, you will bump into them. Normally, this will trigger a set of actions you can perform: Talk, Action, and Skinship.
Talking is a safe way to increase your love interest’s affection meter, especially in the first half of the game. More topics can be unlocked under some requirements. Generally, it doesn’t matter where you are, the topics you can talk about will be the same. There are topics which might trigger different reactions depending on how high your love interest’s affection is, so have fun finding them! However, be warned that most topics can be selected only once!
Action is another safe way to further increase your love interest’s affection meter. Unlike talking, different places have a different set of actions you could select from. More actions can also be unlocked under some requirements. Responses to this doesn’t exactly change based on the character’s current affection level, and it’s not limited to one time only.
Skinship is a riskier way to boost the affection meter: simply put, it’s a high gain with a high risk. Consider the character’s current affection level when you’re selecting from this list! He might not like it if you go touchy-feely when you’re not that close yet.
On the other hand, when his affection is high enough, you’ll find that you can have a lot of fun choosing the various options here. So be smart, bide your time, and have fun ;)
And that’s not all! Interaction is a two-way street, so depending on how your love interest views the main character, he will initiate Talk, Action, or even Skinship. There’s a lot of variations in here, and I hope you’ll have fun with this mechanic! I certainly am having fun while also pulling out my hair out of frustration designing this and trying to put the mechanism to control this into code…
Progress-wise, I think at the very least the functions for controlling this specific mechanic have been 80% completed. The actual writing however, is another story. There are still hundreds that I still haven’t had the time to write yet, and most of them are not yet coded in. Those who have been coded in still don't have sprites and music, so really, I’ll just say that the writing progress for this part is less than 1% completed….
On the left is the currently WIP full game project, with what I would say around 2-4% dialogue scripted in. And on the right side is the completed demo project.
…. Can you see how much effort the whole game is going to take me now? I did say to strap in and relax, cause this is going to be a long ride. And I wasn’t kidding lol
"Nai"
Although throughout the first week, the story will flow as your environment / characters around you teaches you on how the game works, I’m aware that the game mechanics might be hard to understand for casual players who aren’t too used to playing otome games (or games in general). Which is pretty much why I’m giving you a ‘helpline’ of some sort, in the form of another character.
Why a character? Because I can and I want to. Shush 😆
If you’ve played the demo, chances are, you’ve encountered a name which you had no recollection of existing in the canon My Hero Academia universe. Well, you’re right. Like the player’s character, Nai (full name: Namae Nai / 名前 ない) doesn’t exactly exist in the canon universe, but she’s here to help you throughout the game. (She’s also there because if she wasn’t, 1-A class members becomes odd number in total and that just feels weird to me -- plus, the team exercise system in Heroics wouldn’t exactly make sense if the class has odd number of students)
For those of you who hate Original Characters with a passion (why tho), you don’t need to worry too much. She won’t be an intrusive character in the plot and will mainly not contact you unless she really has to (seriously, her full name literally means ‘no name’, so give her a break, ok?). And if, even then, you still hate her, well.... Too bad you won’t be able to enjoy the game, I guess.
For those of you who don't mind her existence: I hope you’ll take a liking to her dark sense of humor and appreciate her helping you get through the game!
Others
Fixed some bugs regarding unlocking Special Moves from certain activities and games.
Played around and customized the ‘input name’ for a little bit, so it wouldn’t awkwardly sit on the bottom of the screen. I have 0 talent in designing UI though, so the background still stays as a black screen -- but at least it looks more prominent now.
Added a little sign to indicate which route the player has entered. I think it’s pretty cute! Hopefully you’ll like it.
Assets
Those who follow me on Twitter would have seen this coming, but anyway, I’ll be using TMGS OSTs as the main character theme for the four love interests. Hush hush, okay?
Other than that, unfortunately I didn’t have time to do any assets gathering this month.
Writing
Nothing much to say here. I think I managed to script around 50% of the events in the first day, but honestly I’m not completely satisfied with it so I might go back and tweak them a bit. Still a lot of scenes to be written!
Plans for December
I'm not too sure whether there would be much progress for the next two months, since there are so many things happening and deadlines to be met at work, which is making me really unmotivated to do other side projects in my free time lately. I also feel like I haven't been taking care of my health enough ever since quarantine started, so I'm trying to get back into doing more exercises and looking for healthier food options, which also cuts into my free time and motivation I guess.
With that said, I'll still at least aim for getting some scripts coded in -- particularly for the events in day 1. Other than that, maybe hopefully some assets gathering for supporting Kirishima's newly added route, and finishing up the coding parts that I was unable to finish this month.
I'll see y'all again at the end of next month!

SLBP Genya Fujibayashi Route Review [SPOILERS]
“If you need someone to rely on, make sure I’m the one you come to, okay?”
I did not have high hopes when I first started reading Genya’s route. He’s billed as the slacker of SLBP, which doesn’t appeal to me one bit (strike one). Also, he was released alongside the inimitable Hattori Hanzo (strike two). And finally, he pretty much made MC do all the legwork in his ES (strike three). But hey, minds can change, right?
Some background: back before MC’s ninja clan turned pacifist, she was friends with two boys, Saku(ya) and Gen(ya). Saku was in love with MC, and Gen, the older, earnest, hard working brother, was simply a friend. And then MC’s village quit ninja-ing, had to go into hiding, and the trio disbanded.
...Until now. MC runs into Gen while he’s on duty as Masamune’s body double (!). He kindly offers MC a place to lie low/plot after she learns that Nobunaga betrayed her village, and she takes him up on his offer. It doesn’t take long for MC to realize that Genya’s a little different from how she remembered him. He’s flirty, and kind of a tease (“You’re worried about being next to an amazing guy like me day and night, right?”). He’s lazy (“A life of ease and pleasure, that’s the best way to go”). And his place in Oshu is a shitty, abandoned temple on the outskirts of town that’s falling apart (this actually becomes a convenient plot device late in the story!).
But he’s a nice guy (this is pretty obvious from the get-go), and life with Genya is pretty pleasant for MC! She stumbles into a healing gig after helping one of Gen’s friends out, and it turns out to be super fulfilling. The two of them spend lots of time relaxing under a cherry tree and chatting with the local kids (who adorably remind MC of her/Saku/Gen ^_^). And for all of Gen’s self-proclaimed laziness, it turns out that he’s got her back when it really counts! Case in point: when MC oversleeps one morning, he does all of her medicine deliveries for her, nbd. Not what you’d expect from a guy who sleeps/gambles all day, right?
In fact, one of the biggest repeat “reveals” of this route is that under the uber-slacker facade, Gen is ready to work as hard as it takes to help out those he cares about. As an example, MC realizes at some point that Gen always takes on the more gruesome ninja jobs, so Saku won’t have to, even though he hates the Iga clan (who doesn’t?? haha). In one of my favorite moments in the route, he also puts his life into MC’s hands (literally) in order to help out Masamune, despite having the option of walking away. This kind of roundabout but “secretly hard working” side of Genya is super attractive to me, ngl!
Speaking of attraction, this is definitely a slow burn romance. MC and Genya have years of friendship history together, and it takes both of them time to stop seeing each others as just old friends (it’s maybe a little easier for MC, given Gen’s flirtiness, ^_^). In any case, MC and Gen’s relationship progression is generally chill/low-key until it really counts, kind of like the dude himself. I thought it was really well done! (This given the fact that Gen’s fake slacker personality still doesn’t do it for me, mind you.)
Plot wise, this route starts out very slice-of-life-y, but everything goes crazy pretty fast. For starters, Gen’s job as Masamune’s body double isn’t without its dangers, and MC does get roped into things repeatedly. It’s all worth it though, because Masamune is a super sweet and grateful employer. ^_^ And then, there’s Gen’s bro Sakuya, who’s been tasked with killing MC. Add in some first love angst, the fractious relationship between Gen and Saku, and Hanzo for good measure... let’s just say, things get pretty dramatic. I enjoyed it!
Overall, I thought Genya’s story was an excellent read. You might think the route is pretty chill while reading it, because Gen is a super chill guy, but the writers manage to pack in an impressive amount of character/relationship development and drama into several short chapters! And instead of telling us what Gen is like and what his relationship with others are like, they show us. I might not find Gen to be the sexiest otome guy out there, but I did end up liking him a lot as a person. He’s a good guy, surrounded by good people (hi Oshu clan), and MC’s life has been made tons better by throwing her lot in with this lazy ninja!
Choice quotes:
“Gender matters not at all when it comes to talent.” - Masamune, proving once again why he is dream boyfriend material
“You’ve got a strength about you, one that lets you choose your own way of life and stick with it.”
Personality: 9/10 from platonic perspective, 3/10 romantically. Gen is unequivocally a nice guy, but he tries his hardest to hide it! I personally liked him a lot as a character, but tbh his flirty slacker facade is too strong for me to be attracted at all. YMMV! I know a lot of people love him.
Appearance: 8/10. No body double of Masamune’s is gonna be ugly. ;)
MC: 7/10. This MC was alright! She wasn’t as assertive as I typically like my MC’s to be, but she gets things done.
Plot/Payoff: 9/10.
Personal enjoyment: 8/10. Liked this way more than I thought I would, given the lack of attraction!

Otomate Party 2017 Collar x Malice Drama Translations
My first content post of the month... at 5:22 am for some ungodly reason i guess.... but I’ll start by asking you to please support me if you can either on ko-fi (https://ko-fi.com/V7V2W0HO) or through paypal (paypal.me/KumoriYami )…. also let me know if you have any hakuoki drama cds that you’d be willing to share that are on my looking for list since i don’t have the audio for those…..
Anyway I finally managed to finish this. Seriously wish i had translations for this as text instead of off a video since snipping everything than converting the pics of the subtitles into text is a serious pain in the ass.... As this is the first and only thing that I have translated for the cxm fandom, I will state:
I do not speak Japanese so this was translated from Chinese based on my bad Chinese and various mtl help (my limit on Japanese is the tiny bits picked up from anime... which I haven’t watched since 2009)
“[” and “]” are what I normally use for translator/personal notes/ways I think the text sounds better
normal brackets and italics are usually used for alternate text suggestions based on the translated words themselves without extra words added or scene transition notes
My Chinese, in my opinion, is not particularly good when it comes to reading so there will probably be mistakes or things lost in translation (especially since this relied on finding someone else’s work of them translating this from Japanese into Chinese)
I will edit this later so expect grammar mistakes (I left quite a lot of those since I didn’t get punctuation for +75% of this) or things being left weirdly phrased.
I have taken images from the drama itself and put them into this post so that this makes more sense.
Enjoy?
Collar x Malice Otomate Party 2017 Drama Translation [”ブレイクタイにプロフアイリング” Don’t have a Chinese translation for the name]

Yanagi (monologue): December. The serial murder incidents known to he world as X-Day.
During our investigation of the serial murders known to the world as the X-Day incidents, we believe the mastermind of the terrorist organization is targeting a woman named Hoshino Ichika, who is investigating them together with us.
Ending up in a situation/stalemate with no progress(/large breakthroughs) [is/will certainly?]-----
(stage lights up)
Enomoto: It's awful! Something's wrong!
Sasazuka: Shut up
Yanagi: Enomoto, open the door quietly.
Enamoto: Ah, sorry..... No, this is a big deal Yanagi-senpai!
Sasazuka: Yanagai-san. Yanagi: Nn?
Sasazuka: Today's cookies aren't bad.
Yanagi: Okay/Yeah, having Sasazuka's approval sets me a ease. Can also give these to Hoshino---- [These can also be given to Hoshino---]
Enomoto: Please don't ignore me!
Enomoto: Anyway, Shiraishi-san he....!
Shiraishi: Miao~
Enomoto: (He's) become/turned into a cat!
From a while ago/A moment ago, (he's) only been making cat sounds (and) not speaking----- [recently, he hasn't been saying anything aside from cat sounds]
Yanagi: Ha... Shiraishi, stop messing around with Enomoto.
Shiraishi: Really how cold.
Shiraishi: I think you should learn how to cooperate, Enoki-kun
Enomoto: My name is Enomoto!
[I don't know Japanese but the subtitles left those bits in Japanese... so I just copied them over into the TL here. Also, according to Hermy The Wormy or nancy cheerleader #6 on the Otogetranslations' japanese-qa discord, the first kanji of Enomoto's name can be read as enoki, and enoki dake are a type of mushroom. ]
Enomoto: Hey, are you messing around with me again!?
Sasazuka: Today this brainless idiot is the same as usual.
Shiraishi: But/However, this type of person is unable to act [like a/n] food/idiot. /these type of people are not//cannot be fools by accident. [be stupid by accident]
Shiraishi: Also you two.... the [your] investigation(s) have stalled right?
Yanagi: What happened/What's going on for you to unexpectedly say/ask this? [literally: What happened, suddenly/unexpectedly, you do you want to say?]
Shiraishi: It's necessary to take a break from time to time. Shiraishi: When faced with a puzzle, fixed concepts/ideas/views/impressions can be the greatest enemy.
Yanagi: You only want us to vent our stress/release pressure, right? [take a break]
Shiraishi: haha, [you've] guessed correctly.
Shirashi: Even so, I'm also suffering from a lot of work/very distressed from work/worried about how busy I am. And because of this today, I was given advanced notice from a gentleman thief lupin [?????]
Shirashi:Oh, just like the one who is collared/so the one who is collared [rephrase later]
Shirashi: She seems to have gone out with Okazaki-kun to change her mood/mind [change of pace?]
Sasazuka: That stupid cat? Truly that's rare. /Truly how rare./That's rare.
Sasazuka: She's the type who seldom relaxes right?
Shiraishi: Yeah/that's right. As a result, she's become unwell.
Okazaki-kun found out and then handled it by going out.
Yanagi: Indeed, it's better for Hoshino to relax from time to time
Yanagi: Although he's an SP, being accompanied by Okazaki. That's....
Shiraishi: After all he is a police officer, I don't think he'll leave any evidence behind.
Enomoto: Nooo, that's not a way to rest?!
Shiraishi: let's go back to the earlier topic/let's go back to the previous conversation shall we? I want to experiment you using criminal deduction/reasoning [Audio sounds more like profiling in ENG]
Yanagi: If you want to relax [have fun, go find someone else [go bother someone else]. Don't involve us.
Shiraishi: You need my ability as a criminal profiler don't you? Wouldn't it be a shame if I couldn't use it at a critical moment?
Sasazuka: Yanagi-san. I think constantly fighting this is a waste of time.
Yanagi: Ha.....Indeed. [do?] whatever you want.
Shiraishi: Nnn. First of all, [let's] use a drawing to analyze your underlying psychology.
Shiraishi: Draw two cats under a tree. Here, pen and paper.
Sasazuka: unexpectedly it's a psychology test, how boring.
Shiraishi: I'll give you donuts so draw.
Enomoto: [????? no text for 1 sec. sounds like eh, show-toh]
Enomoto: Okay, okay/all right, all right! Finished/done drawing!
Shiraishi: .….[How] unexpected/Unexpectedly. Enomoto-kun is pretty/very good at drawing.
Sasazuka: I've finished drawing [here?] too.
Enomoto: What the hell is this, you're unmotivated aren't you?
Shiraishi: eheh! [seeing] someone's personality being expressed is fun/It's fun to see/show your personality/individual personalities/traits
[Then] Yanagi-kun? Just a moment ago/from the start , you were wearing a really complicated expression. [for a while, you have had a really complicated expression]
Yanagi: No...... don't. let me think about it for a night.
Sasazuka: It doesn't take that long./It shouldn't need to take that long.
Yanagi: Ah, wait, Sasazuka....!
<dramatic scary music starts>
shiraishi and enomoto: .....ah....
Sasazuka:.....A cursed drawing? [Is this a cursed drawing?]
Shiraishi: Ah hahahahaha, so it turns out that Yanagi-kun had such a talent for drawing. This is a new discovery ahhahahaha!
Enomoto: No, no it's okay, Yanagi-senpai! How to say this, it's like a Picasso, an ultra-realistic style of painting......[rephrase later]
Yanagi: Stop, I don't need you to say anything.
Shiraishi: Commenting now on these results [rephrase later],
Shiraishi: It's an ideal family that can show how people describe themselves/It's how someone can show off their ideal family [probably 2nd].
Enomoto-kun hopes for warm family/household that lives with your significant other/hopes to live together with your important person in a warm family/household.
Sasazuka-kun is probably living a life not bound by anyone,
Yanagi-kun is.......how to say this, the family/household would probably collapse.
Yanagi: you, just say what you want.
Shiraishi: I have a good understanding/insight based on these references. Alright, let's move on to the next one one. What appearance /type of person would be the person who brought you your wallet /You've lost your wallet. What kind of person is the one who brings it back to you [??????]?
Shiraishi: A. A very dynamic noisy person
B. A friendly older brother
C. A nervous elder sister
D. A high school student in their rebellious phase.
Sasazuka: D is obviously in a rebellious phase yet returning a wallet would [make them] feel very good.
Enomoto: I’ll say, B.....feel it's an average response.
Yanag: Then.... I'll go an choose A
Shiraishi: Actually, this is a psychological test to determine your romantic tendencies.
Sasazuka: There's no need/intention to/of pretend/ing to do this for criminal deduction anymore [??says profiling in audio]
Shiraishi: Who chose A----
Enomoto: Hasn't that guy seen this countless times/Hasn't this guy done countless [of these] interviews?!
Shiraishi: Yanagi-kun, who has chosen A, is cautious about/when it comes to [his] romance/love.
Shiraishi: But once invested [says something to the effect of 'gone deep'], rationality will not be followed/obeyed/maintained.
Shiraishi: So it says.
Shiraishi: Eeeeeh , Yanagi-kun forgetting his reason/rationality, I really want to see this/that.
Yanagi: You say some random things/whatever you want... but, you also haven't said anything wrong.
Shiraishi: Here are the recommended type of things to say for confessing/confessions [says TYPE in ENG]. It's rare for me to make impression images [<---- not sure about that but the audio says IMAGE].
Yanagi: Ha? Impression image...?
(lights darken, spotlight on Yanagi VA)
Yanagi: ........If I get serious, you'll be troubled. I don't want to scare you, [and] I don't want to hurt you even if I think that..... I am unable/incapable to/of stop/ping my desire of monopolizing your heart .....Have you truly chosen me? I already can't do this anymore/hold myself back/stop these feelings [probably 3rd - also i have no tl for what it says on the image]
(cg off)
Sasazuka:...What just happened Yanagai-san, are you back to normal?
Yanagi: N-no, it/that wasn't me. Impression image he voluntarily [did]/automatically----- [??? guessing: That impression he voluntarily did----]
Shiraishi: Next is the person who chose B
Enomoto: Unexpectedly I've seen that guy before.
Shiraishi: B which was chosen by Enomoto-kun, who is a serious romantic, and although he is committed to his love/ Enomoto-kun who chose B, is/will be a serious romantic who follows his heart, but if he ends up with an unrequited love, his twilight years will end miserably/he will be awfully miserable in his old age, so it says.
Enomoto: I don't need you worrying about me being at an old age!? Wait, based on this evaluation, don't tell me that I also...
(light darkens, spotlight on Enomoto)
Enomoto: Seriously loving someone, surely pain can become happiness/it's possible for pain to be changed into happiness/it's like pain has become happiness.
After meeting you, for the first time I know.... no matter how many times I say it you're the best in the world, [and] I love you the most.
(light focus +cg off) Eeeehaha [weird scream that doesn't really work with text],
how/indeed/truly bogus/phony/fake! [??? that's so/really fake?] how can you say such lines [these types of things]?! Ah, but isn't this/that line too handsome/elegant!? [cool]
Yanagi: Indeed/truly optimistic/hopeful [how positive?]......Oh? Sazazuka, where are you going?
Sasazuka: Heading back. I don't want to accompany you guys anymore/disturb you guys anymore.
Shiraishi: Sasazuka-kun after all [is someone] who came back from abroad, are you not accustomed to sweet [more on the romantic side] lines?
Sasazuka: This thing, can't just be shown casually to others.
Enomoto: Love can only be spoken of when two people are alone.... kuh. keh, you damn American returnee!
Shiraishi: Regarding Sasazuka-kun's romantic tendencies, they are----
Sasazuka: Don't continue without permission [ ????? says what sounds like stop in audio... so im assuming 'just stop right now'] he's actually the sis-con type.
Shiraishi: D, which was chosen by Sazuka-kun, is the awkward self-centred type. Unable to verbally express [one’s feelings], [though] contrary to the inner-most/profound feelings/thoughts. This is popular with tsunderes right?
Enomoto: These, these types of confession/declaration of love lines are!?
(cg up + spotlight on Sasazuka)
Sasazuka: You, don't you think you're stupid for thinking that we're unsuited for each other? It's not anyone else, I've chosen you, so be confident in this, just like this/that's all. ......You, have long been my woman/since before you've been my woman Just be good and stay at my side Idi~ot~
(back to normal)
Enamooto: Uwohoho....... This American custom.... aren't/wouldn't you feeling/feel embarrassed/shy?
Sazazuka: Not really, even if this is just an impression image, this sort of thing is common.
Yanagi: Shiraishi.... You've really [even] made an image impression specifically for this sort of thing.
Shiraishi: It's funny [audio sounds like *interesting*]isn't it? The pictures were made by someone I know [These] question and answers were something that I had good reference for since it nicely matched a document/literature's contents.
Sasazuka: To begin with, what literature/study was this from? Was there ever a study/book written/published on this?
Shiraishi: It was the book "Romantic ☆ Psychology Evaluations" [Emotional affecting/heartbeat/heart rate/heart throbbing? ☆ psychology tests..... probably leave it at the first interpretation unless i come up with a better sounding title name here]
Enomoto: Ah! The new book I bought yesterday! I haven't read it yet!
Yanagi: mah.... I think it's the same [one]./I think the same way.
Sasazuka: [I'm] Tired, I really have to go.
Shiraishi: Yeah, I should also be heading back to the station.
Yanagi: : Seriously/give me a break. [i/we] don't know when another incident will occur.
(screen changes to outside the detective agency with Shiraishi)
*footsteps*
Shiraishi: Nn? You, the collar's/collared.... Ah right, right,/yes, yes, hoshino-san
Yanagi-kun and the others seemed to be heading back.
How's the state of your mind doing? [How are you doing?]
Eh.... or did you go to a crime scene/still going to see a crime scene?
It's really serious.
How is the investigation going?
Like before, the criminals still have the upper hand.
Pushing aside the police, really. [Going around the police...?]
......You display such strength/You're very strong.
But, isn't it scary?
Eh? having us [around makes you] feel relieved?
Mm, that's weird.
The enemy might be lurking around in an unexpected place somewhere.... like me, for example.
Haha, do your best not to die.
What kind of outcome will come after this.... let me look forward to it.
The End....?
------------------------------
Well, after doing this..... I can say that I don’t have any intention to translate anything else in the fandom that relies on a video cuz as it is truly excruciating to snip all the subtitles off the vid, photoshop said clips and either whiten or blacken the background so that an image to text converter can read it, have the image converted to text, add in all the words and correct whatever wasn’t converted into text properly, and then get to actually translating whatever it is (i’ve also hand-written more than +4000 Chinese characters from coping subtitles from a different video so i’m not going to be doing that ever again either).....Which means I will probably not be looking at whatever the 2018 cxm secret mission thing is as I have only found Chinese tl for that on a video from bilibili.... plus I’m not certain if there’s an actual drama in it (I have no interest in translating non-drama/story stuff).
Anyway, as I’m not particularly confident in my translation for this - at least when compared to the other stuff that I’ve done, I’m not entirely sure if I’m going to do a subbed video for this since I don’t want to post anything without a personal confidence level of at least 85% in any translation I do for a video (my level for this is probably somewhere between 60-70%).... and on another note, I realllllly need a better way to phrase “impression image,” since that looks and sounds really weird..... also if anyone wants to help me with my lack of language skills for this drama, send me a message plzzz! >_<
if i ever do get to making a video, final edits will be done then since i know i left this drama tl not exactly worded well...

Samurai Lee Ballad: PARTY
Yesterday, after being INSPIRED by @dear-mrs-otome I tried to write in first person. I abandoned it quickly because 1) it is hard, and, 2) if you read my nonsensical rambles you will probably notice that I shove parenthetical asides in right, left, and sideways? That gets so much worse without the filter of using a not-me voice. First person defaults to me-voice and, um, me-voice is…irreverent. Among other questionable adjectives.
Yesterday was also a day of discussing self-insert versus MC-as-her-own-character-we-relate-to (I am very much the latter, but I understand the games were designed to support the former!) but that led to a ‘what if Lee were a self-insert’ and me laughing hysterically because IRL I’m an awful love interest. I am an utterly unromantic, self-absorbed mess and I would much rather spar than smooch.
So, thanks discord and @wonky-glass-ornament for being the enabling, wonderful influence that she is.
HERE YA GO, HAVE SOME TRAIN WRECKS. They are not actually in first person but, this is as literal self-insert as it is possible for me to get. I’m not sorry. I should be, but hey, you don’t have to read it!!!
Kojuro
They sat side-by-side. Quiet. It was very unusual for Lee, at least, to be quiet, but this was one of those conversations she generally preferred to avoid like the plague itself. (It occurred to her that, in this era, the plague was really only a few generations back, for all that it was to the west of her present location, and therefore it could literally be reasonable considered as something to avoid, but considering such things was just more procrastination from the uncomfortable truth). Kojuro was, you know, a good guy. Heck, he was a great guy. That’s why this was so darn hard.
Lee squirmed.
Kojuro, being patient, said nothing. But they wore similar expressions of unease, as they stared at the scene in front of them.
One of the piles moved.
Lee took a deep, long breath.
Inhale.
Exhale.
“Look, Kojuro…” Obligingly, he gave her his attention, and she puffed her cheeks and repeated the exercise of a sigh. “It’s not you.”
Though he had never, in his entire life, been graced with the phrase known to so many others, he understood inherently what it meant, and nodded as she continued. “It’s not me, either, mind you, it’s…it’s us. It’s—” Looking profoundly uncomfortable, she flapped her hands at the room. The mess. “It’s this. That. I mean, what if there’s a fire?” What had been bad with Kojuro alone had become grotesque with Lee’s added slobbiness. “We would die. We would literally die. Smothered by our own smoldering shit. What would Masamune do then, you know?”
Kojuro, sad expression still etched on his graceful features, did not uncross his arms. “No…you are right.”
But Lee was on a roll, word-vomiting in the high-pitched, borderline hysterical manner she was wont to adopt when doing things she didn’t like—like cleaning, but, that was also neither here nor there. “You buy three copies of a book, I buy three copies of a book, thank the stars neither of us have more than two or three changes of clothing in this era because the laundry…” She shuddered, gulping inadvertently in recoiling horror. “Or takeout my God Kojuro I just…” She took a deep breath. Shoved out her hand. Oh lord this was awkward.
“I think we should see other spaces.”
Smiling at last at the truth of it, wry humor in his lovely green gaze, Kojuro accepted her handshake with a firm grip of his own. “Other spaces.” He agreed.
Mitsunari
Finished.
Lee beamed at her creation. Perfection. Excellence. First-rate, gourmet cuisine. See? She could pull off this cook-stuff. Just needed the motivation of it being something she loved.
She scooped a heaping bowlful and slapped the dish onto the table before Mitsunari. “Ta-daaaa!”
Hideyoshi, peering over his vassal’s shoulder in curiosity, looked as though he might want to poke it. “What is it?”
Affronted—but not surprise—a hand fluttered over Lee’s heart. Poor, deprived Hideyoshi! “This,” she began, in the serious intonation of a great storyteller, imparting history upon the chosen, “Is only the greatest meal to ever be invented. This is the quintessential comfort food of my home, the primo, cream-of-crop, best, top option for stomach satisfaction and warm, cozy heart-fullness.”
Mitsunari looked irritated. “Food doesn’t work that wa—”
Pretending he did not exist, Lee wiggled shush fingers and kept going, undeterred by interruptions through virtue of just being louder. “This is nirvana in noodle form. This is bliss in a bowl. Edible ecstasy. Palatable paradise. Delight in the form of a delicacy. This is hope. This is joy. This is—“
“Macaroni and cheese.” Mitsunari intoned flatly.
“—this is macaroni and cheese. Yes.” Lee nodded, beaming.
Hideyoshi slid into a seat, and held out his hands in hcheerful request. Obligingly, Lee provided a bowl. He laughed, “Kinda looks like Ieyasu’s hair.”
Mitsunari’s entire face spasmed in abject revulsion. Lee frowned at Hideyoshi and snatched back the bowl, scowling in the face of the puppy dog pout that met her. “No mac-and-cheese for you.”
“Pleeeease?”
She relented, and got her own bowl besides.
“And what do you expect me to do with this?” Mitsunari’s spine was ramrod straight.
Fussy, fussy, Lee thought. Her spoon froze mid-bite. “Well I certainly don’t suggest stirring it.” She murmured.
“What?”
Her eyebrows arched, “What?”
Mitsunari frowned.
Hideyoshi gamefully tried not to choke on his combination swallow of food and laugh.
“Nothing, don’t think about it.” Lee tried to smile innocently. It didn’t work very well. She looked like a stepford wife who would hold a butcher knife behind her back with one hand while offering you cookies with the other. Luckily for Mitsunari, both hands were visible at the moment, as she started scarfing her own bowl, admonishing over mouthfuls and gesturing with her spoon. “Jubst eabt it.”
Mitsuhide
And so, Lee and her would-be suitor stood in front of the setting sun, awash in warm golds and glowing, scattered reds. He was so pretty. And so serious. Lee sighed, and managed a grin. “Well. It’s been nice.” It had been. Perfectly, pleasantly nice. “I’m…you know. I’m really sorry about your nose.” It had been an accident. It really had been. “I am. I am so sorry, but…if it’s any consolation, the fact it’s a little, um, crooked now kinda suits you? Very…rakish. Charming. Adds a nice edge to the…you know. Nice. Some doll will be delighted.
Mitsuhide gave her a wary—but polite—stare (which she thought was rather impressive to pull off, but classically Mitsuhide) as though he wasn’t entirely convinced that the danger to his once-flawless face had truly passed. “Think nothing of it.” He offered magnanimously. “Good luck, on your journey.”
“Thanks!” Lee beamed, “And, you know, we’ll always have the kittens.” Something fond softened his smile, and Lee smiled to see it, turning to leave. But then she remembered something, and turned, seizing Mitsuhide’s hands with earnest insistence. “Oh, hey, wait—listen. Sh— here in Owari? It’s gonna go south. Like, real south. Like Australian hand-sized-venomous-spider-territory south. And you…just hang on in there, okay?” Her hands dropped from his to clap his cheeks in an utter invasion of his personal bubble. Somewhat surprised by the whole thing, Mitsuhide just froze. Lee squeezed his squishy cheeks. “You are loved, important, precious, and usually right. So don’t you get down on yourself, and don’t you die.” She dropped her hands in favor of settling them on her hips. “I’d miss you.”
With the small, thoughtful smile she loved, Mitsuhide’s head tilted just a bit. “I imagine I would miss you as well, Miss Lee.” In a faint, mischievous moment of candidness, he added, “Maybe.”
Lee snickered—hey, she got it, the nose, remember?—“You got this, boo. So…hang in there, sweet Mitsugoose.”
“…Mitsu…goose?”
Lee ducked in to press a kiss to his cheek. “Don’t worry about it.” But then it was time to leave, and like an overdramatic warrior in a tropey, clichéd action flick, she set down the road towards the setting sun, calling over her shoulder, “Catch you on the flipside, sweetie!”
Saizo & Yukimura
“God he is…just. So. F%*@ing pretty, isn’t he?” Lee sighed dreamily from her perch on the porch. Saizo eyed her flatly, exasperation evident to those he knew him, though those who did not would perhaps suggest he only looked bored.
“You’ve mentioned as much.”
“You think so too, don’t you? I mean come on, the guy’s got shoulders for days. And those eyes.” Lee, who had never actually swooned in her life, did her best impression of a Gaston fangirl from Beauty in the Beast.
“Sparkling pools of limpid sapphires, was it, now?”
“Sparkling pools of limpid sapphires.” Lee agreed through multiple repeats of dreamy sighs, “Or maybe more of an aquamarine? Hmm…” She rested her chin on her hands, own eyes alight in admiration. “Yeah. Aquamarine.”
Saizo said nothing.
“Not that your eyes aren’t lovely too, Saizo.” She offered consolingly, expression serious as she tore her eyes away from Yukimura. “They’re a very nice garnet and they offset quite dreamily with the spiky silver hair and navy getup. Which is my favorite, you should know.” Knowing he was completely immune—in fact, because she knew he was completely immune—Lee fluttered her eyelashes, “I’d love to see it on me.”
Saizo deigned to smile, razor wire. “Try again in a hundred years, little lady.” He leaned down and over, and Lee knew she was supposed to blush and stutter but instead clapped her hands together in appreciative consideration.
“Ooooh look at those garnet flecks.”
Saizo withdrew. “Limpid and sparkling.”
“More…mysterious and speckled with tragic backstory.” Lee surged to her feet and flung herself at the would-rather-not-be-flung at ninja. “Saizo, baby, sweetie, you get to be happy. I am cheering for you.” She released him from the squish to clasp his forearms in brotherhood solidarity. He allowed it out, but she could tell the acquiescence was temporary. “Yukimura is cheering for you. An entire fanbase with the exception of some outliers who would prefer you communicate more openly—I think you’re fine, but, I like cats and they are similarly contradictory and secretive—and let your MC have some edge, are cheering for you. You kick some village ass. You tell those elders to shove it, you hear me? And then you and Yukimura, you live happily ever after, you hear me?”
Saizo sighed, and looked long-suffering.
Lee continued. “I don’t necessarily mean that romantically—I mean I wouldn’t complain, whatever makes you two happy, but, I mean you obviously need one another at least platonically. Oh!” Saizo did not look like he wanted her to continue, but she did. “Also! I am adopting Sasuke. He is my son now.”
“Is he now.”
“Yes. We’re going to the beach and building sandcastles next week and I do hope you’ll come.” She turned back to where Yukimura was still training, and imagined beach sun, sandy shores, and skin sparkling from salt water. Her heart fluttered. “Yukkins too.”
Saizo gave her a look.
Lee raised her hands in defense, “Heeey I just look, I don’t touch, okay? Don’t worry. No harassment suits, please. And his heart’s just as pretty and that’s just as important to me too, yeah?”
He didn’t say yes, but Lee saw it in his shoulders, they way they relaxed a half fraction even as his arms crossed. She grinned. “Softie.”
Saizo decided she was doing enough sighing for both of them. “Just pack some dango.”
Lee had no idea how to make them, but by god she would learn. “You got it, sparky.”
Nobunaga
The last, defiant squawk before Nobunaga’s sword hit home rattled off of the castle walls at impressively high-pitched volume.
“THIS IS—” Lee screeched, “SUCH. FU@#)%@ING. BULLSH#)%!”
Inuchiyo (Toshiie)
Lee gripped her trident with the cackling triumph of the damned, eyes wild and grin toothy, “YEAH! LET’S DO THIS! Like, I know that y’all are really just human beings like me and have families and hopes and dreams, and objectively my pursuit of this occupation may ultimately end in the loss of something inherent to my humanity but I am rolling with the times and have always suspected I am kind of awful underneath it all so BRING IT ON, MOTHERF@)$!RS!”
Hideyoshi elbowed Toshiie nervously, “Puppy…is she okay?”
Slightly deranged laughter was all that met the inquiry. Hideyoshi looked troubled. Keiji joined his cackling friend and cousin, crowing in the battlelusty way of the Maeda berserkers. Hideyoshi backed away. Why couldn’t Inuchiyo fall for a nice, sweet, normal girl? This whole getting drunk and wiping out enemy armies was great for the honor of the clan and all, but good grief their livers.
“He could have fallen for such a nice girl, too.” He sighed to himself, talking to no one in particular. “A nice, sweet, normal neighborhood girl. But noooo….”
The terrified—and slightly confused—screams of their foes rattled back to his ears.
Hideyoshi
“Hideyoshi?” Lee slid into a spot next to her beau, reaching over to take his hands, “Honey, we need to talk.” Hideyoshi knew what that meant, or thought he did, and Lee immediately recognized her blunder. “Cr@$p! Not what I meant. Not that. I’m good, you’re good, we’re golden--but, yeah, good is kinda the problem.”
Hideysohi was willing to play along, “Yeah?”
Lee nodded, “Yeah. I want talk to you…” She released one of his hands to shift, doing the hand-rainbow-whoosh people did when talking about big pictures. “…About villainry.” She paused to let that sink in. For effect and such. Hideyoshi mostly looked amused. “Hear me out. Boo, you’ve got all the potential. Angelic smile! Loyal retainers! Clever mind! People trust you, baby. You could totally rock that into some serious class-A supervillain shit. And like, I’m not talking the subjugation of the masses kind of nonsense, I know you’re not about that life and hey I’m not either, way too much work you know? But like, benign dictator? Shadow master behind the throne? It has you all over it. I mean, I love Yasu but his manipulation game has nothing on your subtlety. Subtlety’s key.”
She could see it, the gentle consideration behind golden eyes, and finally, the small, determined smile. She tried not to cackle in triumph—didn’t go with the benign leader rather than wicked witch image she was pitching here, but hey, she wasn’t one of Japan’s unifiers—and instead squealed with delight. “Well…let’s see, okay?”
Lee applauded. “YES! Exactly! That’s it! That is my jam. Lookout, world! You’re goin’ down!” She caught herself, and coughed awkwardly, adding, “In a good way! Really!”
Masamune
They stood face-to-face, one hand clasped. His other hand rested on her cheek, hers on his heart. They stared at one another, in silence.
From his place hiding on the other side of the door, Shigezane sucked in a breath, “C’mon,” He muttered, “Sha-na-na-na-na kiss the girl, right?”
“Ssh.” Kojuro admonished sternly.
Lee and Masamune ignored them, though they could hear perfectly, of course.
“Masamune,” Lee began, voice soft and unhurried. She took a moment before continuing, but Masamune was a patient sort of person, and did not hurry her, which she appreciated. She leaned into the hand pressing her cheek and smiled. “We don’t have to do this.”
Masamune looked startled, and then unsure. “We don’t?”
“Nope.”
“Thank goodness.” He dropped his hand with a sigh of relief, shoulders relaxing for the first time since this whole business began. Lee did the same.
“Book club buddies?”
“Book club buddies.” He agreed.
The pair of them went back to silently reading on separate cushions, perfectly content. Shigezane threw open the door. “What?! No! No!! Noooo! Masamune, come on! What about…what about an heir?”
Lee was at a really good part of her book, and didn’t care to be interrupted, but Shigezane was a sweetheart and so she didn’t mind (much). “I have an adopted son in Kai.”
“Really?” Masamune looked surprised.
Lee nodded. “Yup. Would that work?”
Kojuro, who had followed Shigezane in with silent reproach, looked like he wanted to say something, but Masamune beat him to it.
“That works for me.”
“Sweet.” Lee gave Shigezane a thumbs up. “Problem solved!”
They went back to their books.
Ieyasu
Lee bit her tongue (barely) because he was the boss and all, but boy did she want to shove her spatula up his stubborn ass. But then she’d have to buy a new one, and the good ones were kind of pricey. She did wonder for a moment if maybe she could expense it, being a casualty of employment under Toku-snob-wa, but then she remembered that several-centuries-ago-Japan warlord organizations did not typically have finance departments and reimbursement accounts.
Well maybe they did, she wasn’t really great at history.
Or finance.
She settled for banging the pots down with more force than the poor pots deserved. Pouty McPoutcurls sneered. She snarled back silently, fingers curling around the handle of her spatula…but, no. Her poor, sweet little spatula did not deserve that fate. It would be brutally unfair of her to call on it for such a sacrifice. Maybe an unfortunate spoon or something, but not her spatula. “Don’t worry little buddy,” she murmured lovingly, completely ignoring Ieyasu as he verbally sulked about something or other related to her existence, “We have many more a soufflé ahead of us.”
“Are you listening, kitchen wench?”
“Saucy kitchen wench, thanks. And nah—I tuned out around when you called me an imbecile. I’ll have you know,” Lee sniffed, affecting a haughty sneer that really came just a bit too easily to her face, “I have three degrees. One of which is chemistry, so, sure I haven’t united a country and whatnot, but I gosh darn well know you oughta be wearing some PPE when you’re mixing up meds.” That had not, in any way, been what they had been talking about (or yelling about, perhaps) but it seemed important to bring up. She squinted at her pan and decided it was done, flopping the contents over onto a plate and shoving at Ieyasu.
He frowned at it.
Lee sighed. Her shriveled, undersized little heart actually ached a little bit. Maybe. Kind of. “You’ve been here the whole time. It’s not poisoned. You’d have seen me do it.”
Silence.
“The only risk is to your cholesterol levels and really with as much tempura as you eat I don’t see how this will Lee decided with all the pouting he did, she could afford a little one herself, so she pouted, though she was far too old to be engaging in that sort of nonsense. “Come oooon. They’re good. See? Look how fluffy they are—” she prodded at the scrambled eggs—a Lee specialty—on his plate. “A time-honored recipe. A trusted one, a treasured one, passed down from ancestor to ancestor lovingly through the ages, whispered in the ears of great chefs, shared—“
“You got it off of Pinterest.”
“I got it off of Pinterest. Alton Brown. Fluffy in the extreme.” Lee leaned over the counter, placing her hands on both sides of the plate, “The extreeeeme.” Because that was creepy, she laughed, and settled back into her kitchen, hopping up onto the countertop.
“That is appallingly unhygienic.”
“I’ll wash it with bleach. Eat your da—eggs, grumpy gills.”
Kenshin & Shingen
Lee stood at the start of their common route, squinting in horrified dismay at the mountain path. Shit. She was supposed to climb that? F--. The three flights of steps to her apartment were enough to leave her wheezing. She was more, you know, cerebral than athletic. She rubbed her cheeks in hands, and considered.
“Yeah, nope. I’m way too tired for this shit.. Sorry boys.”
Maybe she could sell all that salt in the village for enough to pay off the Magistrate’s cronies.
“Yup,” She nodded to herself. “Good plan, let’s do it.”
#I refuse to tag this#I should have made it 'Lee-ve': PARTY#because then it would have been like LEAVE#accurate for me as a MC

Blade and Soul - Reason #xyz why i choose f2p in online gaming
Blade and Soul
If I can describe the feeling you get while playing this game... without bothering anybody, would be impossible. It would be akin to a naive person hanging around an abusive relationship that keeps pummeling you down, over and over, with each major maintenance/update... and you still god-forsakenly hope things might get better in the future.
But they never do.
NEVER.
Because today, 17/10/2017, they have done it! The company running Blade and Soul has managed to piss off nearly their entire player base, whale and non-whale. *slow clap*
Achievement is too great to surpass!!!
(You can skip italics to get to my actual rant)
I know a lot of people are confused what blade and soul is --- an RPG game, with a dungeon system, cliche plot and all-too-familiar online RPG mechanics. If you’re playing the NA and EU variations, the first thing you’ll notice is the LACK OF INVENTORY SPACE that makes a completionist’s life... HELL. If you playing NA and EU variations --- you need to pay real $ to unlock the wardrobe function.
Let me tell you - half my f-ing inventory is clothing that i could have stored in a wardrobe if i paid cash. But i refuse to pay a company that constantly treats its player-base like a money-bank and does not improve or is willing to improve its game quality.
Plus, I’m a cheap ass gal, I’d rather buy full PC-games since I know that for a certain amount of cash, I get x amount of carefully crafted content. Nothing more, nothing less, nothing in addition.Thing is with paying $ in online games, it can cause major addictions - after the company’s fuckery of today, i’m nearly livid at how much money some people are willing to spend on this game - more than hundreds, that’s for sure.
Anyway.
Never have i seen such a shitty company, promising things in a future update, then literally dumbing down changes less than 24 hours before patch release. But dumbing down changes to the point that the people who thought these changes were going to happen and prepared for it are now losing SERIOUS in-game currency, some even actual cash.
ACTUAL CASH.
Radiant Energy - it’s an in-game item that will be replaced in the upcoming patch. It costs around 12G in the game’s marketplace, sometimes going up to 17G after the news of the patch release changes. The item was told it’s going to be exchanged with another - sort of like a conversion, if I may say so. People were cool with the idea. The new converted items that will replace radiant energy would need a certain amount to create/enhance gems that are super helpful in powering up your character. People - evidently - tried stocking up before the maintenance with Radiant Energy.
* Today, in-game gold currency that can be changed into “paid” currency was renewed. The minimum ratio today is of 1:2, when it’s been 1:3 for many months. Basically, for 10G gold one could exchange the amount to minimum 30 HC (-3 HC fees) -> resulting in a nifty 27 HC for every 10 gold exchanged. Today, 10G -> 20 HC (-2 for fees) = 18HC minimum. ((Luckily, people buy gold ass like crazy, so the ratio can sometimes drop back to 1:2.80 or 1:2.90 -- lol, luckily))
Hongmoon Store --- Radiant Energy is sold for 30 HC each, that is over 10G converted amount of gold with the newest in-game currency.
* Today, announcement on forums. For every Radiant Energy you have, you will be able to exchange it for 10G after the newest patches/update happening tomorrow.
* 1 Radiant Energy = 10G exchange after update.
* Today: Radiant Energy in Hongmoon Store = 30 HC -> More than 10G exchanged with the new currency at 1:2 ratio.
* Today: Radiant Energy in marketplace -> minimum was 12G-13G before new announcement. (some paid 17G or more for each items)
All these changes were confirmed by twitter/ twitch stream/ forum and website many days ago.
All these changes were confirmed by people in the company, legit ones representing it many days ago.
It wasn’t rumored - it wasn’t players making up rumors of changes in this patch.
Hour before new update comes, these changes were modified
1 Radiant Energy = 10G conversion after update.
In conclusion: players who wanted to trust a company’s words that the future update they handle will contain all that they advertised and presented for a fucking week have been duped and lied to.
It’s like those online clothing shops where you see a dress that looks amazing and pink, then you get delivered a blue dress that’s the wrong model and cost less on the market than the value initially admitted.
THAT’S how shitty the situation is.
And that’s why i am so happy that I don’t support this shitty-ass company. Even though... my god, Act 4 in this game happens to be my favorite. T-T Damn, the graphics can be so nice and lovely. And the skills.
For warlocks, they look super nice and it’s interesting to hang with people in guilds. But... MAN.
The company is the worst.
It’s literally the opposite of Cheritz, the Mystic Messenger otome game company. Think of BnS company as the total opposite of Cheritz. If there was a spectrum of comparison, the lowest bar would be BnS company (worst than Nexon at this point) and the highest would be Cheritz.
Gosh, I recommend this game to play casually, but to actually invest time, money, effort in it is... sometimes feels like a rip-off and a bad relationship u should get out of.
Game is glitching hard.
Game lags. I have friends with high PING usually that complain of the lag since a few updates ago. I always lag so this news to me makes me LAWL. Lag is my life in BnS.
Game can’t do a proper maintenance, time always extending sometimes in hours.
Sometimes, they fuck up the updates on maintenance. (remember the fee to pay for every dungeon run reward mistake? The lvl 55 boss monsters when ur char is just 50? The event items that were glitched into another event item and people sold it, just to learn they could have kept the faulty item and convert it after another unplanned maintenance?)
Or right, sometimes the game has “emergency maintenances”. Right after finishing 5+ hours maintenances. Cause they fucked up a lot.
Sigh...
Only thing keeping me in BnS is NPC Yu Chun and my buddies in guild. =.=
I’m lucky that I’m too gold poor to be majorly affected by the company’s screw up, but i feel bad for other players who trusted the wrong people and their shifty announcements.
