It's so frustrating. There was a couple of books I read in high school, around 2010-2011 maybe, where all I remember is that the first one had a girl with a bow & arrows & maybe a red or green cape on the cover, and there was a war, and a magic, that like, either "ate" people or opened a portal that destroyed people? And the only part I vividly remember is the male leads sister (the main character was a girl) was nearly drowned by the villain in an attempt to get information? It was a fantasy set in a fantasy world. There was maybe an owl and/or a dragon, maybe a Pegasus (but I might be mixing things up now) There were at least 2 books at the time, or at least, I only had 2. But I cannot for the life of me remember the titles or the author. Or any character names. So, they are practically impossible to find because they were pretty obscure, not popular as far as I could tell. Just something I read. Maybe from a Scholastic Book fair, or maybe something just picked up at the bookstore, or gifted to me by my grandmother or aunt(s). I've googled extensively everything I remember, but it's impossible to find them. T_T

one of the bad parts about not saving fanfictions when you want to read a specific one and you can't remember the name of the author who wrote it. Or you can't remember the title so you have to do that thing you do just like song lyrics.

You put in random words and press enter hoping that your brain will be triggered into remembering something about that particular story or the computer figures out what the hell you are trying to say and finds it for you.

I have been looking for a specific HBO OZ fic that I read a long time ago long before I ever came into the call me by your name fandom and I haven't been able to locate it. I am hoping that the author didn't get rid of it or that it was accidentally deleted or something of that nature.

Because that fic inspired me to start writing another story and the only thing that I can remember from it is that it takes place after Keller falls over the railing and Beecher is out of Oz.

But sadly that is all I can remember from it. (T_T) so if anyone who was of that fandom at some point knows what I am talking about please point me in the right direction or at least help me figure it out cuz it's driving me nuts!

SO basically what if you suddenly heard about a dark experience of your darling's life... like say I originally imagined it as ajax's father telling us about how his son 'claimed' to have fallen into the abyss and is still bitter that no one believes him. And us just internally breaking down that no one, NO ONE believed this man when he needed them the most. Then? Nothing we just go back to our residence and BAWL on his shoulder and he's confused like?! And then when we tell him, he laughs and hugs us back and calms us down! T_T

NOW LET'S DO THAT WITH ZHONGLI

You are having a rather nice chat with Madam Ping (or any adepti really) and then she drops the bomb about everyone he once knew is either dead or in isolation. If that didn't hit you hard enough, she reminds you of what he had to do to Azdaha, his best friend (shhh let's assume) to save Liyue. When Zhongli meets you later at the tea house, you stare at him for a while and break down. And by break down I mean you can't speak because you're crying so hard. This lone god has had to deal with death and the loneliness it brings so many times and yet he still stood strong and firm for Liyue, his Liyue that he so dearly built and raised himself (? I'm not sure, ig Guizhong also helped?) Once your tears start, they don't stop as your mind keeps getting with the thought of everything this man has had to endure alone, until you came along.

Once you calm down, that is after you take a look at his genuinely concerned face and decide that the poor soul needs an explanation. After explaining he just chuckles and asks to take a walk with you to Pervases Temple. On the way there, he remarks how he never really dwelled on it too much until today because Liyue was always the priority. That is until you came along. Now he just lives in the present allowing the old memories to rough around the edges, clear enough to remember but blurred enough to avoid pain and sadness. And then he takes your hand, brings it up to his chest.

You were kind and compassionate enough to share eons of pain with me in just a mere day so let me share an eternity of joy and prosperity with you for time perpetual.

I really wanted to share this with you because you're one of my favorite authors who only deserves love and happiness ( and c6 Zhongli with the best artifacts huhuhu). I adore both daan and marina. The surprising part that i didn't like Daan at first, I don't know why aomething about the way he looks lol but anyways when i learned about his backstory and know more about his personality, it made me love him way too much. for Marina, i think it's because i love the way she looks, her personality and atitude, I really like that always try to pretend to be taugh but she's actually scared. also both of those characters are witches and I love witches.

I Honestly love to play as abella and save everyone. it's pretty hard especially that i have to save samarie so early, so it becomes a fun challenge. With abella i end up picking Marcoh, O'saa and Daan with me, those are my fav strong team^^ I love to play as Marina as well because it's easier to level magic skills with her.

I have died so many different ways i don't really remember the dumbest one but i can tell instead the dumbest that i always do accidently in termina which is stepping on the bear trap many time (I consider it my punishment for my stupidity and i conitnue the game crawling until i find a sylvian book T_T)

I got the A ending by Abella and the b ending by marina. i only play very little of the fear and hunger 1, i didn't get an ending yet.

I played termina cause it's less scary for me and i like that the gameplay is more simpiler than the first game (i will still play it tho).

according to my birthday, i am chaniling soul which i am fine with i love Marina and i love witches lol although i feel like i relate more in between the blanksoul and the suffocated souls.

The first game scares me more than the second game because of how grim it is, and how it seems like you can't hide or get away, baisically the environment is more scarier (that's the reason why i haven't finished the game already). the second game is scary too especially. In my opinion, the city is more scary than the old town, the feeling of struggling to get to the city with whatever route you get and then you get there to find silence and ofc bobbies lol (that makes very nervous and i love it) i love how miro adds needles laughing in the background making me intimadated to fight him, many times i tried to avoid needless and then i think wait i actually can fight him why am i scared to face him, i almost forgot about the horse in the woods creeps me as well as Stitches in the bonker.

That's a bit of odd question about a scary game or a game that meant to make you suffer, This odd to say but horror genre does bring comfort to mae especially when i am depressed, this is why as well i am into some heavey metal songs because it calms me down. usually in fear and hunger games what brings comfort, is after what you went through, you find other characters to join your team and that brings encouragement that we can do this togther type of feeling. (I am a fan of friendship lol I love lord of the rings) (I love ed sheeran song I see fire) T_T

Summary

One day, the illegitimate son of the previous king proposed a contract marriage of 3 years. Will this marriage work out for Rubiana, someone who's never had a relationship before?

(long story short, this is Rubiana's conquest to find a baby daddy)

Story (8.5/10)

This story is really unique as its the ML who gets reincarnated for 8 times. Both of the sisters are really strong, beautiful too. I wished they showed more of the coup d'etat at the start. I also would've liked it more if the romance between the ML and FL were slower (I'm a fan of slow romance!) I thought that it was rushed, as the ML liked FL after like 3 chapters (idk if i remember it right).

The story is building for future conflicts right now, but I could see that it will hurt. A lot, later. I think the sisters will clash, as Rubiana wants to protect the ML, but his position threatens for the empire. It will be interesting and I'm excited of what will happen later.

Characters (9/10)

My favourite character is Callena!

I think she is SO BEAUTIFUL. I love her facial expressions, her rationality, her wit, her outfits, and how she wants to be spoiled by her older sister. I hope she doesn't turn evil (hahaha T_T) She's really unique, and we can't tell what she's plotting in her head.

The MC is Rubiana though.

I don't think that art is one of the strong feature in this manhwa. She reminds me of Selena from The Villain Discovered My Identity. She's skilled in archery, as she practiced a lot during her time in the Monastery. She keeps her word, and protects the sweet but weak ML.

Art (7/10)

I don't think that art is one of the strong feature in this manhwa. However, I love how Rubiana's hair is drawn. I also like Cellena's outfits as the Emperor. It really gives the vibe of royalty. Her expressions are top notch too! I hope they will improve the art as the story progresses later on.

Overall, 8/10. I believe this manhwa is a good read if you're bored of classic/cliché manhwa!

09.27.21 - Monday

Well, today was my first day back to work and it was rather stressful. I had some solid, depressing epiphanies about life today but I guess that's normal.

I cooked chicken noodle soup for the first time and it turned out pretty good! I might make it more often, especially since it's super easy to make.

I also went on a book spree today and bought a bunch of random ebooks from self-published fantasy authors that I thought looked interesting. I'm excited to check those out!! I'm just really happy there are so many options and that self-publishing is a thing because there is just so much to read out there and not enough time. And also! I borrowed two non-fiction books from the library, which I'm actually really excited about. I dunno if I'll have the patience to read them all the way through, but they are about how the mind visualizes (or doesn't visualize) things. One specifically pertains to reading and the other one I think is more of the general psychology of it?? or something?? I can't remember lol and I am much too lazy to look up the title at the moment.

In tv non-news, I watched one more episode of Star Wars Visions today (ep 7 to be precise) and I really liked it! I currently have Star Trek TNG in the background and I'll probably have it on whilst I sleep. In the meantime though, I am going to try to knock out some of Gutter Mage and hope that I don't fall asleep before I mean to like I did last night T_T

I noticed that you were helping readers find fics! Do you mind helping me find this one specific scenario? Its a JungkookxReader fic where the reader meets Jungkook on the bus and she starts drawing him while he's sleeping. (I think there are two parts to this? I can't remember T_T) The reader and Jungkook are strangers but the reader formally meets Jungkook when her friend introduces him as her boyfriend. Jungkook and the reader recognize each other but the reader doesn't say anything. -

- Fast forward to a couple of months when Jungkook and the reader's friend are engaged and the reader's friend wants the reader to be the maid of honor at her wedding but the reader declines saying that she has to move early for her job when in reality, she can't go to the wedding because she loves Jungkook. The friend is upset at the reader and the reader feels bad. Later on, the reader is packing her stuff so she can leave as soon as possible when Jungkook shows up suddenly, angry -

- because she's been ignoring him and that she's leaving. He finds out from her sketch of him that the reader loves him. The reader admits her feelings and snaps at Jungkook who is confused but Jungkook suddenly kisses the reader mid-rant and the scenario ends there! I read this fic some time ago and I wanted to show my friend since it was written really well but I don't remember the name or the name of the author :( Sorry this is a really long ask, I only remember the plot but not the title!
