Picking up from where I left it last time, after some issues between the main characters the tension begins to rise and you begin to see how people will be divided in the rest of the book.

I read a few extra chapters that mostly center about the group of hunters led by Jack leaving their guard at the fire to go hunting for some meat, leaving the fire to die off. I really like how the book is slowly building up to it’s chaotic climax and you can tell who is going to do what. Although I have been sort of anoyed by the use of English in some dialogs but at the same time I love it. I have trouble reading lines from Piggy for example but I ike how his lines are written because you can hear his accent by the way it’s written. For example let’s say Piggy says “I ain’t have seen no ship in a very long time” That grammatically wrong languaje sounds just like an American southern accent and you notice that immediatly and it gives a sense that it was intentionally written that way so that the characters have more life and personality.

I’ve liked the book so far and I’ll defenetly finish it at a certain time but right now I need to take a break from it as I have realized that I can lose myself in thought while reading it, losing completly the context and having to re-read a big part of a page because I wasn’t paying attention. What I’m very likely going to do is to just let it stay in my bookshelf for a few months and then restart it with renewed optimism about the plot because right now although I’ve liked the plot, I haven’t had a good time reading, maybe because I am reading in school time and I’ve had to make openings in my schedule to fit reading time and that has been a turn off.

My review of Lord of the Flies so far is that it’s a good book, with well written characters that have completely different believes and that creates a great conflict (Which is amazing once you think the plot is about a bunch of kids stranded in an island).
