slowly realizing more and more that the sm boycott effort is gonna amount to nothing in the end, and this is not the way we should be going about the riize situation.
i loved seunghan when he was in the group, and i am still an ot7 fan. but at a point, i think we need to think of how much of our time and energy we're willing to spend fighting for something that has such a small chance of actually happening. sm is gonna bounce back from any stock lost from the boycott because they are one of the big 3. they have like 4 of the biggest groups in kpop rn: nct, aespa, red velvet, riize. there's just no way either boycotting riize or boycotting all of sm would actually be detrimental enough to get a member who's been terminated from the group back in.
and while i don't agree with the ot6 fans who are being unreasonable, i think some ot7 fans have been just as bad. this fandom is so toxic and rotten, every day it just seems to get worse. and i don't like the narrative that most ot7 fans were spreading about ot6 kfans-- how they were just mad that seunghan was dating pre debut. that isn't why they were mad, they really didn't care about that. it's the fact that he took pictures of him with his possibly/alleged underage girlfriend (it's honestly bad enough with/without her being possible underage, which i don't have confirmation on) at what looks like a hotel and presumably sent it to his friends in a group chat (which was how it got leaked). that's why they wanted him out of the group.
personally, i don't believe that a member should get kicked out of a group or put on hiatus without a proper reason why. and seunghan's hiatus and termination is really messy. but there are valid reasons why kfans weren't too big on him. the problem is there have been many idols kicked out for things they didn't do, and others who have been caught doing really fucked up and nasty things and rightfully kicked out of the group, but it's hard to know which idols are innocent or not when there's no organization. and when we jump on a narrative train and blow something super big out of proportion, the facts and proper investigation of the situation gets lost in the mess of things.
what should have happened was things being properly investigated back in october 2023 before seunghan was ever put on hiatus, and a decision made from there whether to keep him in the group or kick him out based on that.
instead, we have the other 6 members who clearly want seunghan back tired of the state of everything (rightfully so), ot7 and ot6 fans fighting a full blown war every day without logical thinking, and misinformation being spread left and right. there's no organization, there's no firm confirmation on anything, all of this is just such a big mess.
now let me be clear IF it's true that there was anything suspicious going on between seunghan and his girlfriend, then i would obviously no longer support him. as it is, i'm not going to stop supporting him until there's firm evidence. i'm tired of kpop stans making rash decisions based on half truths instead of just being patient and waiting for the facts to come out. staying neutral during unclear situations is a valid stance to take. please let's all stop jumping to conclusions from both sides.

i have no title for this, just know that a handful of enstarries have this weirdo problem of infantalizing characters. finally finished it, where's the anon that asked about this, i wish i could tag you
Tumblr media
disclaimer: english is not my first language, expect mistakes, not proof read, most likely just word vomit rather than an actual comprehensible essay
full thing under read more 🐰
despite now being in their third year of highschool and turning eighteen (which is considered an adult in most countries), some enstarries still treat the juniors as if they're still first years. still treat them as if they're inexperienced juniors who barely know anything about the idol world. and it's so, so weird!!
let's start with the ryuseitai juniors– shinobu, midori and tetora. while all three are sometimes subject to the treatment of being "chiakana's kids" (another annoying thing some enstarries do), shinobu is sometimes treated as if he's the youngest of the unit. he's literally older than tetora (by a week) and midori (who's the actual youngest of ryuseitai). why's that? is it because he's short and cute in appearance? just because he's short and cute, doesn't mean he's a child! people seem to forget or ignore that.
also, i hate how some enstarries act as if mayoshino is proship and problematic when it's not! it's a 1 year age gap! it's annoying that people think that shinobu is 12 and mayoi is some sort of pedo. that's just straight up mischaracterization, since mayoi struggles with a lot of issues, but he really does care for shinobu and consider him as one of his closest friends. mayoi even berates himself when he's having those kinds of thoughts and thinks of himself as unworthy of being shinobu's friend. shinobu meanwhile values mayoi and even if he finds him a little weird, shinobu knows that mayoi is truly a good person. shinobu worries for mayoi whenever he finds the other anxious and reassures him. mayoi isn't a creep and shinobu is more mature than people give him credit for! this kind of turned into a mayoshino defense rant, but let's get back on track.
let's get to the other idols that are subject to the infantilizing treatment. tori's pretty much the shortest character (currently 154 cm in height) and his whole thing is being cute. guess what happens to him, yep, being infantalized. don't even get me started with ra*bits. all three of them are somehow reduced into "nazuna's little baby rabbits", while sometimes funny in memes or jokes, gets annoying when someone says it unironically.
finally, there's sora, who's probably the one who's subject to this treatment the most. i've seen actual switchP unironically say that he's ntmg's kid. it gives me brain damage somehow. there's something so wrong about treating him like a clueless kid. sora has synesthesia and is heavily implied to be autistic. it's gross that some people treat him like a baby that's incapable of understanding the world.
it rubs me the wrong way whenever people do that. shinobu, along with tetora and midori, want to support ryuseitai too and they don't want to be shielded by them (chiaki and kanata) anymore. tori's growing too, and he's not that bratty kid anymore (he still shows sides of this, but he's less hostile now). he doesn't want to be protected, so to speak, and he's becoming more mature and wanting to prove himself to eichi that he's not a kid anymore. being the new student council president is one of the ways tori can prove himself, and to me, i think he already has. eichi's a bit of an ass for teasing him too much though.
it's still so weird to me that tomoya, hajime and mitsuru are still treated as if they were still first years. no, they're not those kids anymore. sure, they needed nazuna to guide them and hold their hamds– metaphorically speaking, especially when ra*bits was just starting out. one of their main focuses in es!! was them standing on their own without nazuna, as he's in college.
tomoya struggles with being ra*bits' new leader, and sometimes thinking if he's good enough to lead and be in charge of their unit, if he can fill in the gap that nazuna left. he does! he acts more like a leader, he's slowly being more confident in himself with leading. tomoya's idol image is reflective of that, as he's going into a more princely/cool guy type along with his cute side with ra*bits. mitsuru's also going to the cool guy route, reflected by his fs2. now mitsuru here is really excitable and a little naive, and of course some enstarries are going to ignore his other sides and treat him like a kid.
finally for the ra*bits is hajime, oh god, hajime. did you know that once upon a time there were people who said that ibahaji is proship? ibara and hajime? proship?! again, 1 year age gap! just because hajime is nice and a little shy, doesn't mean he's a child to be protected. and just because ibara is very business minded and dedicated to his work doesn't mean he's a grown ass man. he's like 19! still a teenager, even! and hell, ibara still acts like a teenager sometimes. hajime himself even wants to show the world that he's more than just cute. yes, he uses his cuteness as his weapon to his advantage (an advice from ibara, if i remember correctly), but he also wants to prove that he's not just a cute face.
ra*bits' whole thing is that they're growing together, bit by bit and it's frustrating that some people choose to ignore their growth and instead treat them like babies.
onto sora, seriously, it's frustrating to see people unironically say he's an innocent bean or call him ntmg's child, also there were people who said ntsora is proship? enstarries never fail to surprise me with how insane their thought process is.
i'm going to hold your hand when i say this:
just because sora is hyper and bubbly, it does not mean he's a child to be protected.
sora is not clueless or naive, hell, i'd argue that sora is the most emotionally and mentally mature person in switch, and in the whole roster of characters, even. he's perceptive and he's smart. correct me if i'm wrong, since i'm no switch lore expert, but didn't they have a predicament where sora wanted to be more included with how switch does things behind the scenes? that he didn't want tsumugi and natsume to be shielding him from the world anymore?
sora is aware that his seniors are just looking out for him, but at the same time, he wants to be on equal footing with them and support them as a member of the unit and as their friend. hell, the same could be said for all prior characters mentioned! and again, i'll repeat myself, it's weird as shit to be treating him like a clueless and innocent child when he's heavily implied to be autistic. with full offense, that just sounds like you think sora is incapable just because of his neurodivergence. yikes!
some honorable mentions to tsukasa, who gets babied by some fans and even his own unit sometimes, much to his displeasure as he wants to be taken seriously as knights' king, to souma who's treated as "kurokei's child" (when he and kuro are a year and a couple of months apart, i think?), hiiro who sometimes get characterized as "dim-witted boy from the countryside" when he's actually really smart, especially in academics (to the point that tsukasa considers him a rival) when he's just a little naive to the city life, and to kohaku who's sometimes reduced to "crazy:b's little brother" / "madara's kid" when kohaku himself is more than capable of being independent.
it's frustrating when some enstarries, and even their own producers ignore or disregard their growth and treat them like babies or reduce them to a popular ship's "children" . while we've known them since they were juniors and still starting out, at least treat them more seriously now. it feels more satisfying to see them grow up and see their improvement instead of just perceiving them as clueless juniors forever, well, to me, at least.

yk how korean women say that korean men are literal hellspawn? do u ever wonder if like ur faves are secretly THAT type of guy or do u think idol training humbles them out so much they turn to the bright side
i think of this all the time bc u could be an idols biggest fan but you'll never actually know how they are irl so maybe they're just a complete bitch. and lowkey??? that terrifies me bc i dont wanna stan an asshole
i do think some idols are completely exempt tho. like i don't think johnny has an evil hair on his beautiful body. like theres no way that man would just let someone gross be gross around him. 100% he'd beat someone up if they just looked at a girl wrong
^^ (copied and pasted from anon’s second message, just wanted the thoughts to be all together)
as is the case with all celebrities, we’ll never know 100% if idols are genuine
thats been proven time and time again (burning sun, taeil, etc)
theres a clear medium between blind love for an idol and villainizing them without reason, and finding that is the key to healthy idol-fan relationships
to think that idols are incapable of anything bad is ignorant, borderline infantilization, and just blatantly incorrect
on the flip side, fearing that they’re all deplorable monsters is harmful and diminishes the victims of actual deplorable behavior
its true that we dont know these people, but we also dont know the people walking down the street and we dont automatically assume they’re horrible. being legitimately terrified that your fav is evil is a little much, but being critical and skeptical of them isnt bad or unfounded
also its not just korean men (and ofc its not all korean men). all men from all around the world have the capacity to be actual shit from a butt
(anon, im not saying you think like any of this^^ i was speaking in a general sense🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ plz dont take any offense 😣 luv u)

ABSOLUTE UNIVERSE PHASE 2 First Impressions
I started out just ranting away my thoughts about DC's Absolute imprint not really intending anything with it but now I'm making it into a whole thing, apparently. Maybe it's because I'd been so checked out of DC comics (and superhero comics more broadly, tbh) for such a long time that this all provided such an enticing jumping on point where I'm actually kind of enjoying cape comics again (to varying degrees) and it's fun to talk about the things I think work and complain about the things that don't.
So since I'm All-In on the Absolute Universe[insert rim-shot], I figure why not give my initial thoughts on the debut issues of the second wave of Absolute comics too?
ABSOLUTE FLASH #1 Now I'm going to preface this by saying that The Flash is probably my all time favorite DC comics character, specifically Wally West as The Flash, I have read every single issue of The Flash Vol. 2 so when I heard that Absolute Flash was about Wally and being written by Jeff Lemire who is also one of my GOATS, I had no choice but to buy this and the chances of me loving it were incredible loaded.
So that being said, I liked it! For a first issue I think it does a decent job of setting up some intrigue and getting me hooked. I really like the decision to have Wally be our first for real Teen superhero of the Absolute Universe. Technically speaking it seems like Superman may have been low-key doing some superman shit for a number of years, part of which would have been happening while a teenager, but I digress.
It's a neat way of kind of recreating the character while acknowledging the entire history of the character. Classically, Wally gets powers as a child and becomes Kid-Flash, Barry Allen's sidekick and has a loving and supportive mentor-student relationship. I also like working Barry's death into his origin because such a major part of Wally's growth as a character over the years was climbing out from the shadow of the man he idolized so much.
So starting him off as a teen in this version is a nice call back of sorts to his origins, while obviously changing things up significantly, and I think in the event of an inevitable "Absolute Justice League" kind of crossover with the rest of the cast, having him be the youngest person presents a unique perspective in the bigger picture.
I love the teases of Gorilla city, and I'm interested in finding out more about Mirror Master and the rest of the new Rogues, though I will say I do not like that Captain Cold is hot. I get that Nick Robles is incapable of drawing men who aren't fuckable beefcakes, but Captain Cold should be ugly. Also, when I first saw some of the variant covers showing the new Flash costume I kind of didn't like it, but seeing Robles' design sheet for the outfit, I do kind of dig it. The jacket is good. I think it'll be an easy design for other artists to get wrong, but for now I'm excited to see where this goes.
ABSOLUTE MARTIAN MANHUNTER #1 I cannot say in complete honesty that Absolute Martian Manhunter is my favourite Absolute title because Wonder Woman is still much more my shit, but Manhunter is far and away the most interesting of all the series. It's doing much more than any of the rest of them both in terms of trying to do more than just tell a superhero story, and in just much more creative artistic ways with it's panelling and use of comics as a medium.
I said this about Wonder Woman in my previous reviews, and I think it applies even moreso for Manhunter, but the character has far less baggage than any other of the characters they're Absolute-ifying. Like, personally I have never read a single Martian Manhunter comic, and as far as I'm aware, he's not the kind of character that typically gets his own solo series and if he does they don't last. If he has a regular supporting cast of characters aside from Miss Martian I don't know their names.
Everything I know about Martian Manhunter is from the 00's Justice League cartoon and other animated movies or cartoons. Something along the lines of White and Green Martians had a civil war, he fled Mars, came to Earth and became a cop or something. He has like a million super powers but primarily shape-shifting and telepathy, but also he can like become intangible like Kitty Pryde or whatever? And his name is John/J'onn.
So given this lack of identifiable themes or traits or cast it makes sense that you can basically do whatever the hell you want with the character and take him in directions never before seen with a freedom you would not have with basically any other character so far. This decision to have the Martian consciousness as an "invading" presence is very interesting and makes this almost more of a horror comic in a sense. It certainly at this point could not be called a superhero comic which sets it apart from all it's contemporaries.
The other thing that makes it stand out is of course the artwork, the panel layouts and the clever use of the comic book as a medium for storytelling. Hard to describe honestly but as the issue progresses, the use of colours becomes not just visually interesting but even textually relevant. As John gets more and more detached from his reality or humanity, the more bizarre and psychedelic the layout of the artwork becomes, and the brilliant final double page of the comic is one of the most clever things I've seen in a long while and makes it really worth going out and getting a physical copy.
Overall I am probably more looking forward to the next issues of this than almost all the rest of them just because I have absolutely no idea where the hell they're going with it and it'll probably be a visual treat.
ABSOLUTE GREEN LANTERN #1 I got really into Green Lantern for a very brief period back in like 2008 when they first started introducing the other Lantern Corps and then by the time they did the Blackest Night event I lost interest again and haven't paid attention to Green Lantern since. All I know is that they've introduced like 4 or 5 new GL's into the already bloated cast of them and it all sounds very exhausting to keep up with.
It pains me to say it considering Al Ewing wrote the greatest comic series of all time, Immortal Hulk, but I think he's washed. There's basically nothing about this issue that hooked me, really. Like, there are individual elements I was kind of down with for a few moments but ultimately I just kind of don't care?
Like, okay how do we address the issue of there being a million Green Lanterns? Ensemble cast. Okay that's a choice. There have been like at least 4 or 5 different guys who have operated as "The Flash" but they decided to just go with Wally West as the titular character in Absolute Flash, you could have done so with GL. Which I suppose they kind of have since in the issue and all the cover artwork it's just Whats-her-face who seems to be the actual Green Lantern, though I'm not ruling out the possibility that they all will just get powered up eventually anyway.
The set up of "Arrival meets Under the Dome" is intriguing enough but I think the way the story is being framed kind of dispels the mystery for me. Like, the dome around the town is a neat idea but it's being presented in a flash-back after the fact so it's like, well whatever it is is already resolved so there's not much tension around finding a way out or anything. We already know the giant comical green lantern symbol has crushed that town.
Which I'm sorry but I cannot take that seriously. The page that depicts the Lantern battery having crushed all the buildings just looks silly. It would be like if a 50 foot long McDonald's M fell on a neighbourhood, it feels like a joke.
Hal being a like, architect/ebay memorabilia salesman is such a bizarre rebranding of the character that I honestly have no clue how it meaningfully makes him Hal Jordan. The Black Hand thing is again, kind of neat but like, idk. I bet he got it from alien bullshit. Doubt if the particulars really matter.
I had never encountered the newest Green Lantern so I looked up her wikipedia page and I'm sorry but you have got to be fucking kidding me with this. "After witnessing the 9/11 attacks, Jo was inspired to make a difference in the world, graduating valedictorian in her high school and joining the United States Army, and later the New York City Police Department. During her police career, she witnessed her partner beat a suspect nearly to death. Before being able to turn him in she was suddenly fired after being tagged in a Black Lives Matter Facebook post."
I know that if a certain corner of Tumblr finds this post I'm going to catch hate but this is the most nauseating example of market data based liberal pandering I have ever seen from a comic book. I am not an "anti-woke" reactionary who would say making a black woman Green Lantern is a crime. What I am saying is that this character is such an absurdist caricature of what publishing executives think appeals to young people while also trying to launder the image of the US Military and the idea that "good cops" exist. Absolutely miss me with this shit.
ANYWAY, this is the Absolute universe so maybe all that dumb shit about her character isn't present anyway except that they mention her being a cop. She shows up in the last page and on the cover with her skin all cracking open with Green energy shining out of her so presumably she has green lantern powers and all that, and maybe they manifest in a new way or something. I'm mostly disinterested and nothing set up in the first issue really grabs me or makes me excited to learn what is happening.
So to wrap up, much like with the first wave of Absolute titles, I'm enjoying 2/3 books, and as far as I'm aware they have not announced any further Absolute titles to come, so all that's left is to see where it's all headed. The astute reader may have realized that the chosen titles for the Absolute imprint are 6/7 of the original line-up of The Justice League, sans Aquaman of course and something tells me they aren't rushing to publish Absolute Aquaman any time soon. But that being the case, I'd be frankly shocked if this didn't all lead to an "Absolute Justice League" series of some sort whether it just ends up being a crossover event or limited series. I think, judging by the release schedule so far, DC is willing to commit some time to get these books off the ground, so I'm willing to bet we'll be at least 10 issues into each series before any serious cross over stuff starts happening. The first 3 books were all given 5-6 issues as an opening story arc to set the stage so I doubt if they'd want to suffocate these three by forcing a big crossover after they've barely gotten out of their opening storylines. I'll probably end up doing a similar follow-up as my last posts once each of Flash, Martian Manhunter and Green Lantern have reached 5 issues.

he might not have agreed to it but sadly it just how it is and bambam and many idols kinda have to accept that its what they set out to do. this is going to sound unfair on him but i find the way idols are both chronically online AND then oversharing making their young fans concerned and unable to help their idols from behind a screen very iffy. its not like he hasnt got access to health care to help him overcome his struggles but i also see that hes further pushing an unhealthy realiance on him and his fans. its not like him meeting a person at random in a more romantic setting and having them "fix" his issues or what he feels he lacks in which is clearly romance. I get it but at the same time I dont because like I say ppl r chronically online too much, idols seem to have an overreliance on young folk to make themselves feel better which just doesnt bode well.
I think unless he is physically incapable or has some chronic long term illness then posting on social media is not justifyable it seems like a harsh thing to do for his audience and even for those closest to him as well must feel a constant need to check up on him. again he could start with appreciating the ppl he does have that are willingly checking up on him and such. if anything i think kpop idols would benefit from no social media during hiatus instead of leading fans on to worry abt whether their faves are having a breakdown or not.
i understand your perspective and some parts are true (for example the obligation because this is his job and the social media hiatus). still, i think it's also fair to say that unfortunately, we don't know bambam on a personal level. for all we know this could be due to his romance or other business ventures. it's understandable to feel that it's unfair for him to share and rely on people around him or his fans to check up on him but imo that just shows the mindset that he's going through something. for all we know we don't know about his medical history or personal circumstances that have potentially impacted how he feels. this is just my opinion, but i feel some kpop idols might have a skewed perspective of how to deal with these thoughts because from what I've observed, korean culture really encourages them to persist no matter the circumstance. so they probably have a lot of trauma that has been buried because they always need to put their work first. now since the times are changing, adapting to that is probably a very difficult thing and i can't imagine going from seeing and working with 6 other people almost every single day to dealing with everything yourself. in addition to the fact that bam left thailand at an incredibly young age, and him no longer being able to rely to his seniors in got7 must be a lot to digest. speaking from experience, i do believe that it would be more beneficial to deal with your mental health issues in a private matter but i understand that other people might not hold the same perspective bc people like bam who grew up in the spotlight might feel differently. i just think there's a lot of nuance when it comes to situations like this and we shouldn't be too hasty when it comes to deciding on what we think is right/wrong. thank you for sharing your thoughts anon!

SPOILERS FOR RICK AND MORTY SEASON 6 EPISODE 2, "RICK: A MORT WELL LIVED"
---
it's interesting (and also kinda fucked up) that rick essentially lobotomized morty in this episode, but also didn't really have a choice. he obviously left marta behind, but also keep in mind that literally every other aspect of morty's personality was convinced to go with rick by marta.
however she convinced them, either by threatening that they are ultimately insignificant if they don't go with rick, or by playing up how great rick is/how good morty's relationship with him is, or however the fuck she did it, she is ultimately implementing the same idea into every aspect of morty's personality: rick can be trusted, and whatever he says is correct.
this means that EVERY aspect of morty now fully trusts rick and basically idolize him since he had an almost godlike presence in their roy lives (rick says it's not a religion, but they obviously all see it that way). any capacity for critical thought against rick has now been completely terminated.
what's worse, rick basically had no choice in doing this since convincing them to come with him was really the only viable way for the roy mortys to rejoin morty's personality. hence the whole "we don't have 5 billion chloroform rags" bit. all aspects of morty were essentially brainwashed into submission and devotion, and any that weren't (i.e. marta) stayed behind. it's like how every rick on the citadel either abandoned their beth or had their beth die, because any rick who had a living family he cared about wouldn't have discovered interdimensional travel. hence why there are seemingly no dianes on the citadel.
it's also worth noting that this isn't really a "reset" of morty's development. even s1 morty didn't completely trust and often disliked or even went against rick (not killing morty jr, insisting on continuing the adventure, asking for the love potion and demanding he fix the results, demanding he be treated better after learning about the brainwave thing, etc.) but new morty seems incapable of any of that. he isn't really shy or nervous like s1 morty either, he seems like a rick-obeying robot.
idk where exactly the story goes from here, but i don't think the writers are just going to drop any of this. marta is certainly coming back at some point, and and total lobotomy/conversion therapy combos (done on a SYNAPTICAL LEVEL!) aren't easily undone. i'd be willing to bet that this pisses off the family as well. maybe rick prime uses marta to try and turn morty against rick c137? who knows.
as for the independence arc reset thing, i get the feeling that they had to reverse some of morty's development, but i do think it's necessary. mory's arc felt way too rushed, what the hell could they have done with his character for the next 5 seasons? plus, his development kind of erased his most iconic traits (nervousness, moral compass, stuff like that) and didn't replace them with anything.
who is season 1/2 morty? easy, he's a nervous, awkward boy who gets bossed around by rick. under all the acne and stuttering, however, he has a strict moral compass and is willing to go against rick if he feels it's right.
who is season 4/5 morty? uh, he's kind of awkward. sometimes. sometimes he just acts normal though. he goes along with what rick says, unless... well sometimes he just doesn't, and there's not really a clear reason why. he's totally fine with killing innocents, though. he's just kind of... nothing? his character is really inconsistent. the only identifiable arc he has is the corruption of his ethics, which might be interesting if the show could bother to explore it beyond 2 second throwaway gags.
who is season 6 morty? who knows! morty is a blank slate, and the writers now have complete freedom to (hopefully) redo his arc in a more satisfying way.
idk, i don't think new lobotomy morty is a bad thing. it's better to just admit you were wrong than let one of your main characters remain completely static for half the show.

tae has so much privilege among armys because no way would they let his attitude/rbf/behavior/lazy dancing go unchecked if it was an idol of another group. the way people came for jennie but won't admit that taehyung put 0 effort in dancing these latest concerts, also kicking bottles into the crowd and acting like a child for attention. like he couldn't make it any clearer that he doesn't enjoy being in bts. maybe only the benefits of being a member of bts.
I know. There's a lot to be said about armys hating women and their superiority complex when it comes to other idols, but there's also the fact that Taehyung never had an "official position" to live up (main dancer, lead singer, etc), so people aren't exactly paying attention to him in that sense unless he's your bias. And he must have other redeeming qualities for their fans to overlook his slacking.
There's also the thing that I've talked about before, of how everyone in BTS has been shielded by the presence of other 6 people. Their choreos are all made up with the purpose of having everyone in the same field of view. There are no spaces between the members, there's always a formation that involves everyone, even when someone's in the center, it's always a group formation where you can't see everyone individually.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's almost impossible to assess everyone individually unless you watch the same performance 7 times and focus on one of them at the time. I don't think many people do that. I've personally never done that.
So, in short, I guess you could say BTS was always graded as a group and Taehyung was never graded indivually. The "grades" for each member would be abysmally different from the general "A" BTS as a group have achieved.
I guess with other groups like blackpink, there's only four of them and they're also all so little, their bodies are tiny. They're way too scattered across the stage at all times, and they don't get choreos where they're all squished the way BTS get. So it's easier to notice when one of them does something wrong (or doesn't do anything at all). This gif below is the typical blackpink formation.
Tumblr media
Anyways, all of that to once again say that a lot of things will be so much more visible when BTS members get to be alone on their own stage and they have to pull their own weight. But also armys really hate women and they seem incapable of holding men to the same high standards they expect women to reach.

Ateez as Yanderes.
TW: Mentions of abusive behaviour, toxic relationships, violence, self-harm and other topics that might be triggering.
Note: I am, in no way, trying to romanticize or portray the persons involved as heroes. The behaviour of the characters is not healthy and extremely harmful. If you or someone you know sees such characteristics in someone, do not overlook it. Furthermore, this is a work of fiction. I am not trying to represent the idols through my writing.
Ahhh I'm actually not very good at doing reactions. I feel that for some of the members I did a sort of a mini scenario but then for others it's like a description oof. Hope it's not super bad.
Kim Hongjoong = Over-proctective
- Hongjoong's caring and protective personality was what made you like him and now the same personality makes you despise him
- Hongjoong does not trust you at all
- He thinks you're incapable of doing things without him
- He treats you like a porcelain doll that could easily break
- He has put a lot of restrictions on where you can go or what you can do
- He will not let you go anywhere without his permission or go somewhere without him
- He doesn't trust you with anyone
- People are evil and they could hurt his precious one
- He is very afraid of something bad happening to you
- If you even get a minor cut, he will freak out and will not even let you move
- You do not have the freedom to do anything
- If you ever say that you want to leave him, he will lock you up
- He thinks that you're not mentally strong enough to know what's good for you
- And that's what drives him become your guardian and imprison you in your own house
Tumblr media
Park Seonghwa = Dominant/Narcissistic
- Seonghwa has a huge ego
- Rejection is one thing he never accepts
- He expects everyone to worship him and you're no exception
- You wouldn't have been forcibly taken away and chained in his basement had you not uttered the word "no" to his face
- If you do anything that he even feels was disrespectful or if you try to leave him, he will severely punish you
- He sees inflicting pain and other severe punishment methods a way to mold you into his perfect slave
- You have to be really careful to not displease him cuz his anger is unpredictable
- He will reward you if you're obedient at all times
- He also makes sure he is the only person you invest your time and effort in
- He is your master and your life should revolve around him and him only
Tumblr media
Jeong Yunho = Jealous/Overly-sensitive
- Yunho started off as the best man ever but then as time passed, the good in him started fading away.
- He started getting jealous a bit too often
- And now it's a daily occurence
- He does not trust you one bit
- He downloaded a tracking app on your phone so that he can keep track of where you go
- You talking to any guy or girl makes him go absolutely nuts
- he threatens people behind your back
- He also twists your words a lot which is rooted from his lack of trust as well
- He thinks that everything you say has a hidden implication behind it
- Like seonghwa, he wants your life to be about him
- He doesn't like you giving attention to anyone else be it a person or a hobby
- So if you want to talk to your mom or write a bunch of poems as a hobby, too bad.
Tumblr media
Kang Yeosang = Sadistic/Cruel
- Yeosang was very good at hiding his sadistic side when he first met you.
- He used his charming looks and soothing voice to make you fall in love with him
- Once that happened and you entered into a relationship with him, his true colours started showing
- He slowly started getting both physically and emotionally abusive
- His initial reason was to keep you with him but eventually he started enjoying it
- As much as he loves you, seeing you helpless and at his mercy pleasures him to no end
- He prefers using physical punishments over emotional anytime you disobey him
- He loves seeing you break piece by piece
- But he also likes peppering you with kisses and telling you how gorgeous you are
- which makes him even more scarier
- Trying to leave him is not a smart idea at all
- You try to run away and he breaks your legs
- He will never hesitate to use excruciatingly painful methods to keep you from leaving
Tumblr media
Choi San = Manipulative
- Just like Yunho, at first, he treated you like a king/queen
- But then slowly he started becoming a bit too obsessive and wanted to be with you 24/7 and know everything that you did
- He wants to know every single detail of your life
- If you ever try to reject him, he starts guilt tripping you
- He says that you're ungrateful for all the things that he does for you
- Afterall, he did treat you like no one else in the beginning
- Your family and friends slowly start cutting ties from you
- You don't know why but San knows very well
- If you find him being too burdensome and call out his behaviour, he blames it on you instead
- He targets your weaknesses to justify his behaviour and make you feel guilty
- No matter what, he never admits that he's wrong
- If you try to blame him, he starts playing victim
- He makes himself seem so pitiful that you can't help but feel guilty
- If you ever try to leave him, he would threaten to kill himself
- He will make you feel like you're the bad one in the relationship
- And you'll not have anyone to go to either so it's a win for him
Tumblr media
Song Mingi = The clingy/stalker type
- Mingi was absolutely mesmerized by your beauty when he saw you for the first time
- He wanted to talk to you but he didn't have the courage to so he just start following you around and keeping track of every move you made
- He found out everything about you from what school you went to to what your pet peeve was before he made a move
- It took him a year worth of courage to eventually talk to you and of course considering how much he knew about you, he also knew what he had to do in order to make you fall for him
- And it worked
- Once that happened, Mingi stuck to you like gum
- Now, he does not leave your side for even a minute
- He wants to be with you 24/7 and sends you over a 100 texts everyday
- If you try to leave him for even a second he'll throw a tantrum and cling on to you to you like a koala
- Has become too dependent on you and you would actually believe him if he says that he would die without you
- coming back to him biting his nails to the point that his fingers were bloody and him literally jumping on you when after you left him alone for not even 3 hours is enough proof for you to believe him
- He has never and never will hurt you but he wont hesitate to hurt others
- He hasn't yet but he surely will if you don't take his threats seriously
Tumblr media
Jung Wooyoung = Delusional
- A very dangerous yandere
- but more than that a pitiful yandere
- He isn't able interpret your words or read your emotions
- He mistook your gesture of kindness as an invitation for love
- After helping him once, you started seeing him around a bit too often
- He started talking to you as if you guys were close friends
- You ignored him but he never stopped
- After a while, he started treating you like his girlfriend/boyfriend though you barely knew him
- At that point you realized that this wasn't normal and you needed to do something
- You told you friends and were planning to contact the police
- Wooyoung started noticing how people looked at him weirdly and he thougjt its cuz they were jealous of your "relationship" and want you guys to break up
- You had come to the final decision to report him but before you could, he kidnaped you and locked you up in his house claiming that he's trying to "protect" your relationship
- The more you try to push him away, the closer got
- Be it physically or emotionally
- None of your attempts to snap him out of his imaginary work
- His imagination is too far gone for him to come back
Tumblr media
Choi Jongho = The selfish/violent type
- A bit of what you would call a spoiled brat
- A lot actually
- What he wants, he gets
- Even if that means hurting others in the process
- He's a selfish man and he isn't scared to acknowledge that
- Kinda like Seonghwa but not quite
-Unlike him, Jongho is aware of what he's doing
- Seonghwa's ego leads him but Jongho leads his ego
- Jongho doesnt hesitate to get violent either
- You disobey him, he punishes you
- But the fact that he remains calm both before the punishment and after shows that he isn't actually bothered by your behaviour
- He just likes the power he has over you
- To him it doesn't matter if you love him or not, you're something that he admires therefore he has to have you
- No matter what you do, his heart will never go soft and even if it does, it will only be to an extent where he let's you breathe freely

I was tagged by @xiezuo … Whom I annoy on a daily basis, so I don't know why she'd do this. She doesn't hear this from me all the time, but I accept her for the right mess that she is. She in turn, accepts me for being the most boring person in the world.
Who is your bias?
Do Kyungsoo (D.O) from EXO
Tumblr media
Buckle up kids, from this point forward this will be an essay.
What made you notice him?
I first saw Kyungsoo in the drama It's Okay That's Love, and he is EXACTLY my type. 2014 Kyungsoo rocked his uniforms, and he has also been unfairly blessed with the incapability to age, so of course I had to Google him to find out how old he actually was. He's as old as me. If you're wondering. Bless.
After googling him, I found out he was part of EXO… And okay, that was enough to have me turn away. My self-righteous self, felt that I was too old for K-pop. (I'm a prick and I admit it. Look where we are now. Ha ha.) Fast forward to 100 Days My Prince, our paths cross again and it was like fate. He was a fucking sight in that drama, and the boy CAN ACT. I very quickly dropped my act and embraced Do Kyungsoo in all his K-pop idol glory, and of course that meant, EXO too. Those boys own my soul now, I'm not the least bit bothered.
What is/are your favorite things about them?
1). His voice. HIS. FUCKING. VOICE. He is by no means the best vocalist in EXO, but his voice calms down and hypes me the hell up all at the same time. The boy's adlibs, rifts and runs in songs give me the good kind of chills. I adore his voice. I could listen to Kyungsoo sing and speak for hours on end.
2). His acting. Check our his filmography if you think I'm kidding. Actor Do Kyungsoo has broken the stereotype for Idol Actors, because of his drama/movie performances. He is not your typical idol actor. Anyone who disagrees can fucking choke.
Who would initiate skinship more?
Definitely me. If by some miracle, we were actually dating. I'm a touchy person in general so…. If we were in the beginning stages of dating, I'd be to scared to initiate anything at all. But give me time and I'd skinship the hell outta him. Don't get me wrong, I won't hang off him like a koala or anything like that, but being the touchy person that I am, I'd like to have a part of my body touch his, when we're together. Maybe Kyungsoo hates that, but who knows. Ha!
Who would be more clingy?
Me. I'm not even a very clingy person anyway. BUT KYUNGSOO IS THE EPITOME OF NO NONSENSE. By default, I'd be more clingy.
Who would say I love you first?
ME. 100% me. I fall in love very quickly, and I don't try to pretend I'm not in love with someone if I was. Granted, Kyungsoo and I were dating, I'd tell him I love him all the time. Does this negate the statement that I'm not clingy?
Who would be more easily flustered?
Us both? I'd end up swooning over him for doing nothing and he'd get flustered. Then there's me… I'd probably end up saying something incredibly stupid.
What cuddling position would you to have?
THIS. RIGHT. HERE.
Tumblr media
Which color(s) remind you of him?
Baby blue, green and gray. Kyungsoo is just so gentle, and these remind me of him and how mild mannered he is.
Which season do you want to spend with him?
Autumn, because Kyungsoo autumn aesthetics are 100%, but I'd really just want to spend cold weather with him. I'm soft.
Who would bake the cookies and who would steal the batter?
I'd probably end up stealing the batter while we both bake the cookies…… isn't that fucking cute shoot me.
Let me tag some people who probably already forgot about me but hey 🙃 i miss your faces.
