Honestly, considering the show/writers never acknowledged Daphne’s marital rape of her husband, and they only had a slight acknowledgment of Edwina’s feelings on Kate x Anthony, like I don’t think there will be a satisfactory resolution to Pen’s betrayal of the Bridgertons (Marina/Colin and Eloise/Theo) or of Eloise’s “friendship” with Cressida (and anything else she might do as “revenge”).

I think they’ll blow over the latter “I said I’d rather die than be her friend and I still mean it” and hugs all around or some other scene like that (which I know is simple and that’s my point). And Pen will apologize and confess that cause she’s so in love with Colin and she wanted to be noticed and she’ll be forgiven without much else from Colin. And maybe a little more for Eloise, if that.

(Spoiler’s for the books in case people care about that).

They forgive her for Whistledown in the books, Colin is worried more about her being revealed as Whistledown than her writing shit about him (tho nothing she writes is like Marina/Colin is not in the books. Daphne basically forgives her for anything she wrote about that but tbh she doesn’t seem to mind anyway). And, they like sorta acknowledge it as “wtf” thing, but it’s blown over quickly imo. “Oh well that’s nice dear” sorta reaction. And Eloise does have even more of a backbone than in the books but idk I just don’t see why and what people seem to want out of Bridgerton.

Eloise is going to somehow befriend and fall in love with Crane! You’re telling me the girl running around with Theo and “radicals” will suddenly fall for the guy boring the fuck out of Marina?

Like, I’m sorry but Bridgerton is pretty people hooking up with a regency background. They will not “do right” by most people’s standards of how the characters should act and how to apologize (Daphne and Simon make up after professing deep love in the rain! Anthony is shocked into confessing for real cause Kate fell of a horse! It’s for DRAMA, and then it’s resolved kinda easily?)

I’ve seen some more of nuanced takes against Pen, at least these people aren’t reducing her to a fat villain (cause when they did that I could not take them seriously 😒). And honestly a lot of it is fair, that’s good! The writers don’t care.

But now I keep seeing people hating Eloise to the point that they want a comeuppance that is not proportional to her “revenge”…and like… it won’t be as serious as y’all are making it to be. This “revenge”. Like please, the writers aren’t going to suddenly take this world seriously. See above and those are just 1 example for each season!

If they wanted to acknowledge all the hurt Pen put people through and make her work to become a better person, they could! I just don’t think they will because it’s 8 episodes per season and in this season they’re trying to find a way to get Colin and Pen together and Eloise and Pen as friends again by end of season. I don’t think they’ll extend a conflict into Ben’s season (I actually hope they don’t, I like Ben and Sophie’s story for the most part and while I love Anthony and Kate they shouldn’t be the focus either).

Idk what people expect I guess. if you’re watching it for Pen to be taken down a notch… might not be the season for you. If you’re hate watching I guess tag it with “anti” whatever and not the regular tags?

I’m sorry if you think she does not deserve an happy ending, I don’t necessarily disagree that she’s undeserving of some crow eating for what she’s done. However, I don’t think the writers care to make her go through that. And I don’t watch Bridgerton for brilliant character development that I think some of y’all want.

That being said I’m curious about how they’ll manage LW post Colin x Penelope marriage. In the books it basically disappears, and maybe they can use that to have a build up to Pen! However that means to me making their relationship last longer than as season and I do not want that for any of the couples.

I just don’t think they’ll have her do that cause it’s BRIDGERTON #she’s gonna “win” idk how else to say it (whether you believe she “deserves it” or not) in 8 episodes #hopefully the writers come up with a compelling story for her and Eloise and their friendship along with Pen/Colin romance but like y’all 😐#why are your expectations so high about a bodice ripper book turned tv show from the creator of Scandal and HTGAWM and Grey’s #like y’all know how it ends already…#again my fault for going in the tags #idk we’re getting four seasons minimum I just want to finish out with Ben and Sophie #if four is really all we get

i just went to get fabric to make a half circle skirt and when i told my mum it was £17 she was surprised like that was a lot?? it’s exactly what i expected??? she was like ‘you could buy a skirt for cheaper than that’ yes and i would be wary of the ethics that went into making it😭

#i just got a sewing machine for christmas so i think i’m finally gonna learn how to make clothes properly #don’t have to use my mum’s 50 year old one anymore #it works fine considering its age but it’s kind of clunky #i’m so excited about this new one #i’m aiming to make a skirt similar to one i have #which i probably got for a bit less than this fabric #because it’s from primark😐#i do not want to make my own clothes to save money #that would not make sense and i already crochet (a lot) and knit (a bit) so i know that #i want to make my own clothes for two main reasons #1. it’s cool and fun and i can make anything i want #2. i can stop buying fast fashion so much #cos like when i got a skirt from a more quality more ethical place #i can’t remember how much it was but #it was a lot more than £17 #well i’ve also got a zip which was like another £1 or £2 so £18 something #but my point is it’s not that much difference when it’s not awful shops #sewing #craftblr #sewblr

Sorry but if your tall range is defined as “5’7 and over” I don’t think this is going to work

#i am JUST trying to find a pair of sweatpants that fit my body as a woman who is 6’1 (and most of that is; unfortunately; leg)#AND i need high rise so men’s sweatpants don’t tend to work for me. they’re either too tight around the waist #or they fit fine but i have to hike them up such that i end up with a few inches of ankle exposed #and look. i don’t care if my pyjamas are short on me. i’ve made peace with that fact but it’s fine because i will be in bed and no one will #see me. and honestly most of the time i wear shorts to bed anyway #but with sweatpants i’m going to probably leave the house in them and at the very least be out of bed #and i don’t want my ankles exposed!! it looks ridiculous #my kingdom for a pair of sweats that start at the top of my hips and end at my feet #but seriously. 5’7. 5’7 is your idea of tall. iiii #swear to god the only place i’ve ever found trousers long enough for me just on the rack is america lol. if anything ever happens #to my grey sweats with the university insignia on them idk what i’ll do #i also have a couple of pairs from am*zon but they were SO overpriced and one of them has a giant hole on the inside thigh 😐 and i’ve only #had them for like… 18 months? at the most? other than that i do love them. i like that they’re super comfortable but the material doesn’t #look like sweatpants (partly because they’re black) so i can wear them to legitimate places and not worry that people think i’m a slob #i mean they don’t read as like smart trousers or jeans but they don’t read as sweats either. they just look like a generic black trouser #i would not care at this stage though if i was blatantly wearing joggers or sweats. i just need a big pant #i got out of the habit of wearing jeans/anything tight during my very long knee recovery in which i either wore shorts; sweats #or festival pants the whole time to accomodate for a brace; movement of the knee; icing the knee; etc #and now it’s like. i CAN wear jeans but i prefer not to. i don’t like leggings; i feel all exposed and nasty. plus i lost some weight during #this process because i lost my appetite and some of my favourite jeans are now super baggy on me #I NEED BIG PANTS. professional stuff is fine because i can just wear a dress and tights but like.. i’m not putting on tights just to be #at home lol. who does that #long tall sally you are my last hope #personal

Hii!! I saw lots of posts about Harry renewing with Columbia and getting or buying a really expensive car. But I don't understand what I'm missing....if he is renewing with Columbia is that bad? A DM suddenly shoots up to the top of the pile in Kyle’s Tinder DM list and his eyebrows raise when he sees your name.

It’s been a month and a half, maybe longer, since you two last matched and after the brief rejection and you having gotten with Price, his life moved on and he kind of forgot you existed.

But your sudden message whose preview starts with “hey sorry to be botheri-” intrigues him so he presses it.

you: hey sorry to be bothering u but i figured it was safe to dm u about this because between u and johnny u seemed to be the most mature one! is simon okay? he stopped replying to me like a week ago and im concerned

Kyle’s eyebrows shot up on his forehead upon reading the question.

Kyle: he’s been texting u? 🤨 you: HI! yeah he has Kyle: excuse me? 🤨🤨 Kyle: like texting texting u. Kyle thought back on a reason why Ghost would suddenly, well, ghost you. But he can’t think of any… Ghost is a notoriously bad texter, it doesn’t surprise him that he went MIA…

And then it hits him.

It’s 8 A.M. in the rec room of their floor and Ghost was making tea just as Johnny was taking a seat in the couch.

Kyle oofed as Johnny hit him, throwing his legs over Kyle’s lap. “Watch it mate, fuck you’re bloody heavy!” He complained.

“AH, FUCKIN’ HELL!” Ghost cursed as he threw his hands up in the air the sound of water dripping on the floor catching his attention.

Kyle looked over to see Ghost had spilled his boiling hot water everywhere on the counter.

“You alright L.T.?” Soap asked a she lifted his head over the back of the couch to peer at Simon just like Gaz was.

“Great.” Ghost grunted as he picked up his phone from the counter, which was also dripping in water, while his other hand threw a rag onto the mess of water dripping down from the counter.

“Oh fuck… ‘s your phone dead?” Soap asked and Ghost grumbled under his breath, not quite answering the question, as he busied himself soaking up the spilled water.

Just then, Price showed up at the rec room door. “Simon, gear up. Got a briefing for a solo mission in 10.”

“Fuckin’ hell, yeah, yeah, I got it.” Ghost grunted as he cleaned the mess and then rushed out the door, leaving his mug of tea in the counter and clutching his now broken phone in his hands.

Kyle: hes fine. Kyle: he spilled water on his phone and killed it I think.
