do you think shikiaki would go to college if so what would they major and if not what would they do

I've thought about Shikiaki College AU before so yeah (imo it can go both ways, I have AU ideas where they go to college, but also AU ideas where they don't lol).

For Akira, he would probably be undeclared for as long as it's allowed (typically until the end of sophomore year). I think that Akira's the type of person who doesn't know what he wants to do in life (similar to canon where he feels lost and apathetic toward everything), so he wouldn't know what he wants to major in immediately. He'd probably spend his first two years just taking whatever gen-ed courses are required to graduate. For his actual major though, I feel like Akira would go for something in humanities lol. I'm thinking philosophy in particular.

I'm leaning toward a philosophy degree for Akira because TnC itself focuses on exploring philosophical themes (nihilism when it comes to Akira's character, existentialism when it comes to Shiki's character, fatalism when it comes to Nano's character, the concept of free will as a theme in general). And Akira's character arc in the game is about learning to overcome his nihilism/broadening his perspective by learning how to see things from others' viewpoints, so I could see him choosing to major in philosophy in a college AU.

OK now we're finally getting to Shiki:

I think Shiki would major in something like criminology lmao. Obviously he's interested in death/murder, so I feel like he would naturally gravitate toward a criminology major. I don't think he would do it from the standpoint of being a "morally upstanding citizen of society" though lol; he does it because he likes the general sense of authority that comes with being involved in the criminal justice system. Also in some of the Shikiaki drama CD AUs, Shiki takes on the role of being the "student council president" so I can definitely see him wanting to major in something that involves administering disciplinary action to others lmao.

If Akira doesn't go to college, he would probably just end up doing jobs in the retail industry because of his lack of a specialized skillset lol. He might go on to find a better job once he gets more experience (an office job maybe lol; in some of the Shikiaki drama CDs he's a salaryman), but for the first few years after graduating high school he's stuck being a cashier with terrible customer service skills. rip.

I see your love for Jack Rebaldi's makeup and I raise you... David Ashley's makeup. similar in style and just SO gorgeous, ugh. he and Jack are easily the top 2 prettiest Munkustraps for a London/Broadway styled face.

Oh, easily. I will say that the only other London based Munkustrap (particularly at the time) who came close to Jack Rebaldi's makeup, imo, was, in fact, David Ashley. If Jack Rebaldi is the face of CATS (and he kinda is - or at least he was for a *very* long time), then David is a close second in terms of instant recognizability in their time period and their faces being used in promotional material (some articles refer to David as the “Cats Poster Boy” - and he was in London). They both had that good idea of not only how to do their makeup well, but how keep lines crisp and defined without making any of the white or chin overtly muddy.

Comparing the two, it's really interesting how the change in certain shapes can A. Emphasize/soften different features and B. Create different kinds of illusions on the face (it's also interesting to see how often they seem to be confused for one another):

(I picked these two instead of Jack's more infamous similar shot because these two are closer in time period - the thing also about Jack's makeup is that it became even more stylized and streamlined the longer he performed for, so he did get a bit of a leg up in that regard because he had years of playing Munkustrap both before and after David to perfect his technique)

David's face is more angular and blocky, while Jack has a rounder square shape. David seemed to lean into emphasizing his sharper cheek bones (note the way one of the "whiskers" is drawn in the opposite curve to snatch that cheek up), narrowing his inner corner liner and intensifying his eyebrows (making the eyes appear smaller and more angular, more cat like). His upper lip is lined sharply and goes over the entirety of it. His shapes are all sharp and big, which is very clean looking, and gives off a sterner but also a more relaxed "half lidded" cat face, if you will.

(If you would like to see a neat comparison to, say, how Karen Dawson prefers to draw the Munk face, watch David get his makeup done here and note how he looks almost like a completely different person).

Jack leaned into softening and widening his features (which he retained throughout even as it changed style). Note the wide gap in the inner liner and the rounded eyebrow and eye shape, which makes his eyes look bigger and more open (younger, if you will). The whiskers are all in curve *with* the shape of his face rather than against it, and are kept round and upswept, which doesn't weigh his features down. Instead of solid black stripes, Jack played moreso with making them whispy-er and more plentiful. Note also how the upper lip is lined (in the opposite way from David - Jack often seemed to line *below* his Cupid's bow, while David lined *above* it), narrowing the mouth which makes his lip look larger and his "muzzle" space longer. His shapes are softer and tapered, giving him a more open "wide eyed" expression, if you will. He was also much heavier handed with the white highlight (which is not as well visible here) under the black lines, which softens them further while giving a nice dimension.

The great thing about these is that they are *instantly* recognizable from one another. And it is a great example of how even when performers are given the exact same makeup workshop classes, the exact same reference sheets, and the exact same tools, makeup very much comes down to personal style and working with what works for them.

I can see that! It's probably one of the only physical features that he likes about himself, he's actually proud of how deep and beautiful they are. He's so insecure about his nose and teeth and body although he has no reason to be so having these entrancing eyes gives him a little bit of hope. Maybe his lovely eyes will help you look past those "unsightly" features of his. That's why he kisses your hand so often, gazing at you with as much love as is possible to portray: he's hoping his feelings will shine through and sweep you off your feet.

♡ to answer ur question, yes jimin is smol compared to the other members. imo, jimin was the prettiest out of all the members. rather than small, i’d say he’s really petite….. almost delicate? graceful? that same kinda aura a dancer has. his movements were so powerful and fluid. and he moves around alot when he performs, leaning back and bending forwards, body rolling everywhere. i rate him 45% cute and 55% sexy. bc he literally is sexy and cute at the same time. he smiles with that angelic face but does body rolls with his body??? no offence but thats cheating and i hate him. how dare he combine these two deadly attributes so well sdhfjd. he was SUPER SMILEY during soundcheck. after jungkook had wandered down the center aisle to where i was standing, jimin came over too. i think it was during namjoon’s rap in dope, he looked so impressed by how loud the crowd was when we chanted the fanchant parts and smiled SO BIG. mochi sexy is well and thriving ;_;

♡ ok, so imo, tae and jin are the visuals of this visual group called bts. they are just exceedingly good-looking. which is why, when tae walked out during soundcheck, i screamed so loud my throat went raw, bc it was just my initial reaction in order to overcome the shock of realising i was looking at the face of a god. honestly, i didnt even pay attention to the other members for a hot second bc i was too busy gaping at tae and yelling at my friend, “HOLY FUCK TAE IS BEAUTIFUL??????” just….his face is superior. jawline so sharp i wanted to get sliced!!!!!!!!! hes so charming too, he kept crouching down in front of the stage, resting one side of his face on his hand for a moment, looking into the crowd. but yeah, i just vividly recall myself losing all my shits when i first saw him lmfao.

♡ seeing yoongi irl was the most surprising i think. i know hes a cutie, but even when he was at rest in the concert, i kept thinking, “he. is. so. fucking. cute.” like…. idk what it was. it wasn’t even his height or anything, it was his face. HIS FEATURES ARE SO SOFT. nothing about min yoongi irl was harsh. imo he was the softest looking member. every time they stopped to talk or say their ments and it wasnt his turn, yoongi would be looking into the crowd quietly. i felt like he was trying his best to get a look at every single fan’s face, bc he was continuously staring at the crowd. there was always a very very slight smile tugging at his lips tho, but he was the quietest and calmest of all the members. WHEN HE DID SMILE BIG, IT WAS SO RADIANT. i took quite a few pictures of him smiling after his ment, bc it was a such a big joyous gummy smile and my heart with doing flips. 

♡ hoseok. wow. where do i begin. hoseok literally kicked my entire ass to the moon on every level except physical. almost all my friends came back from their concerts with the words, “hoseok is beautiful” hanging off their lips and i’m not joking……HOSEOK IS BEAUTIFUL. he had so much stage presence, like it’s overwhelming. every time he came to the front of the stage, my breath would hitch in my throat. CLOSE UP HE IS EVEN MORE GORGEOUS. like, his features are soooooo nice… his nose, his mouth…HIS SMILE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! every time he flashed a smile at the crowd I GASPED. every. single. time. also, my favourite thing abt hoseok is how he SMILES SO MUCH during performances. it was the reason why mama was the best solo stage to me, he looked like he was having so much fun! HE’S A PERFORMER IN EVERY SINGLE WAY, a pro! hoseok was also really good at fanservice. he seemed to favour the front of the stage, doing his raps close to the edge etc, so lucky me!!! i got to bask in his presence at a closer proximity countless times ahshbhdjshjsdsd. so yeah if ur not already a hoseok stan, you will be a hoseok stan after u watch him perform live.

the one thing that was universal for all 7 members, was how PRETTY they were. when i tried to think of the right word to use, ‘pretty’ explained it the best. even though they were right in front of me, i was so shocked by how unbelievably pretty they were. they all look as if they crawled out of some unrealistic shoujo manga as the hot smart and talented boy the protagonist falls in love with.

Besides fumbling the ball four times, Auburn’s offense was outstanding last Saturday night.

The only thing that seemed capable of stopping Auburn’s offense Saturday night was the literal football. That funky oblong object is apparently borderline impossible to hold onto seeing as the Tigers fumbled the durn thing FIVE times losing three of them. Somehow that resulted in 0 points for the Bulldogs. Thanks defense!

But that was really the only negative on the night. Auburn scored touchdowns on their first five possessions and probably could have put together a longer streak if not for one of the worst fumble calls I’ve ever seen. The defense though stood tall and Auburn’s offense went right back to work scoring on the final drive of the first half and the first drive of 2nd half.

Being up 49-9 on an SEC opponent just minutes into the 3rd quarter is something Auburn should keep doing.

Like we saw with the defense yesterday, Auburn got plenty of folks snaps this past weekend. I did my best to track each one.

#10 Bo Nix - 56 snaps

#14 Joey Gatewood - 14 snaps

The biggest story of the night was the passing game coming online. Through the first four games Bo Nix had been more game manager than playmaker. He’d come through in some clutch moments but teams hadn’t yet seen a reason to fear him. Until now...

Nix accomplished something that hadn’t been done since Cam Newton back in 2010, throwing for 300+ yards and rushing 50+ more. Jason Campbell also did it in 2004 and Nick Marshall barely missed it in 2014. Those are good QBs to be compared to imo.

Bo Nix is the first Auburn quarterback since Cam Newton in the 2010 SEC Championship Game to have 300-plus passing yards and 50-plus rushing yards in a single game. Jason Campbell also did it against Tennessee in 2004.

You knew at some point things would start clicking for Nix. He’s just too talented a player to not start connecting on some of those deep shots. I thought his prettiest throw of the night was hitting Anthony Schwartz down the sideline late in the first half.

That’s 50 yards in the air, dropping the ball into the basket of the fastest man in college football. If what we saw from Nix Saturday night starts to become more regular then watch out. I expect his numbers to dip some this weekend but it wouldn’t shock me if he opened some eyes nationally with his performance against the Gators.

It was also good to see Joey Gatewood throw the ball around a bit. Gus Malzahn didn’t have the playbook wide open late in the 4th quarter but he cracked a bit more open than usual. Hopefully this is a trend we continue to see. When you put your 2nd string in late, let them play.

Running Back

It was honestly not a great day for Auburn’s running backs. Yes they had 4 touchdowns and some nice runs but three fumbles from this group is inexcusable. If it doesn’t get cleaned up it will get Auburn beat at some point this season. Thankfully, Auburn is protected by one of the best defenses in the country but the Tigers are playing with fire. I could write off the Tulane game as maybe a one time thing especially since most of the problems were with one back. But a second multi fumble game, this time by multiple backs, is a sign this could be a bigger problem than initially feared.

I will say though scoring 3 touchdowns on 16 snaps is durn impressive.

On the happier side of things, D.J. Williams made his long awaited debut! It was very clear that Malzahn wanted the ball in Williams’s hands late to give him a chance to get some collegiate carries as Gatewood wasn’t asked to do much reading. The majority of Williams’s carries were off Buck Sweeps.

The true freshman carried the ball 7 times for 32 yards averaging 4.6 yards a pop. He passed the early eye test and had a few really nice runs including this cut for a big gain.

I am not sure how many touches he will get this weekend on the road in Gainesville but I fully expect Auburn to start working him into the game plan. He might not start to make an impact until after the bye week but it’s good to see him healthy and on the field. If he can get up to speed and provide Auburn with a true #2 tailback capable of doing consistent damage between the tackles that would be a nice boost to this offense heading into a brutal November.

Finally, Harold Joiner did not see the field against Mississippi State after featuring heavily in Auburn’s opening script last week. I am not sure if his fumble in Kyle Field sent him to the end of the line or if he got bumped out of touches due to Williams’s return but it will be interesting to see if he makes an appearance in the Swamp this weekend.

H-Back/Tight End

Not sure I am ready to say Spencer Nigh is actually performing at a higher level than Chandler Cox last year but I am getting close. That’s no shot at Cox either, it’s a credit to how insanely good Nigh continues to be for the Tigers. He’s lining up all over the field being asked to do everything from chip defensive ends to cut block scraping linebackers in the open field. Unsurprisingly, you see him pop up on the screen whenever Auburn scores a touchdown. One of my favorite blocks is the one he threw for Anthony Schwartz on his jet sweep for a score.

The big surprise was the debut of Luke Deal. The 2019 signee tore his ACL on the very first day of spring ball. I thought before that injury he would have a chance to contribute this season. Auburn brought him in on their Wildcat looks this weekend as a 2nd H-Back. I am very interested to see if that becomes a staple play and Deal doesn’t redshirt in 2019 or if the Tigers just wanted to give him some snaps this past weekend. I lean towards the 2nd because of the play Auburn is getting from their other 3 guys at this spot but it’s something to watch moving forward.

Unsurprisingly, as this unit gets healthier and more reps with Bo Nix, they are becoming more dangerous. We knew the pieces were there for this to be a very good unit but it’s been hard to get them all on the field at the same time this fall. Then when Auburn does, Nix would miss them on a big play opportunity.

Not Saturday night.

Seth Williams caught 8 passes for 161 yards and 2 touchdowns. That 161 yards ties him for 10th on Auburn’s all time single game receiving yards list with Robert Baker. What I love is he got those yards running all sorts of different routes. It wasn’t just catching a handful of 50/50 balls but instead came on a variety of concepts including corner routes, slants, screens and verticals. I imagine that 3rd down slant though was one of every Auburn fan’s favorites.

But honestly my favorite catch of the night didn’t come from Williams (though that 2nd TD was sweet). It came from big man Sal Cannella. The 6’5” 228 lb senior has been frustrating at times in his career but is putting together a solid 2019 campaign. No wide receiver has seen more snaps than big #80 and a lot of his work is blocking out on the perimeter. But in the 3rd quarter, Bo Nix was looking to keep a drive alive on 3rd down and threw one up for the big man to make a play.

If Auburn can count on Sal Cannella to start winning 50/50 jump balls then things are about to get insanely scary for opposing defenses. Nix is giving everyone opportunities to make plays. It’s nice to see guys making the most of it.

A big reason why Bo Nix was able to shred Mississippi State’s secondary this past weekend was because the big fellas up front kept him clean most of the night. State’s front 4 is a shell of its past self but it was still good to see Auburn’s offensive line perform at a high level. Mike Horton especially had a big game, earning SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week honors.

Horton has at times been the weak link of this group up front but he looked good this past Saturday. Auburn will need more of that type of play from the fifth year senior moving forward.

Auburn’s 2nd team offensive line got some work Saturday night. Alec Jackson took over for Bailey Sharp at left tackle. I thought from this group Jalil Irvin stood out the most. Very physical kid who moves well in space. He’s got a chance to be apart of the starting five next fall.
