BASICS

▸ is your muse tall/short/average? Human wise? He’s very tiny compared to them. Kinda scary living in a world where someone can just step on your whole body if not careful enough. Keronian wise? He’s average, neither classified as short or tall to that society. Though it seems most keronians are taller than him.

▸ are they okay with their height? He doesn’t really mind it, it just means he can be held and carried more. Excessively being picked on about it will tip him off though. Sometimes a joke gets stale, especially when that’s all you can talk about ( if that’s even considered a conversation ). Using Pekopon sized cleaning instruments is a bit difficult too.

▸ what’s their hair like? He is but a bald frog

▸ do they spend a lot of time on their hair/with their grooming? Once again, he has no hair. BUT whenever he does wear wigs, he takes the upmost care with them. He’s gotta stay on FLEEK.png when it comes staying in character. I’d say it takes him 15-20 minutes to make sure he looks fabulous

▸ does your muse care about what others think about them? GOD, YES. He’s constantly seeking validation and attention. He’s not exactly the most stunning keronian out there and a lot of people think he’s annoying. Being called cute really hits him hard. Tell him that and he’ll love you forever.  As someone who went from everyone loving him to being infamous for being a clown- a joke- he wants to prove that he’s capable of achieving things, with or without the star 

PREFERENCES

▸ indoors or outdoors? I’d say a mix of both? He likes exploring Pekopon but sometimes he rather stay in his room all day and indulge in his hobbies. It’s sometimes hard to roam around when you have to make sure your disguises fit the bill or have enough juice in your anti-barrier to freely snoop around.

▸ rain or sunshine? Rain. Moisturizes his skin and he loves how glossy and smooth it makes him.  

▸ forest or beach? He’s 50/50 on this one. The forest is full of mysterious things and he and the crew often get lost in it. Though it’s also a great place to hide when conducting bigger operations or just downright taking cover from the fuzz.      The beach is beautiful! Filled with a lot of people and the best part, COMEDY SHOWS. That’s his favorite thing about going to the beach. Being able to make people giggle over his jokes fills him with so much joy. The downside about the beach is just how gosh dang salty the ocean is. It tastes and FEELS terrible. At least it smells nice. 

▸ precious metals or gems? Pssh, gems D U H.

▸ flowers or perfumes? Flowers, I guess. I don’t think I’ve seen him wear perfume but he does appreciate flowers. I mean, he did an ENTIRE operation about making Pekopon bloom with flowers.

▸ personality or appearance? Personality. He has to deal with his appearance being what makes or breaks potential relationships. Though that’s pretty rare since he doesn’t live in a keronian society anymore. Personality is great though, he prefers that over anything. Appearance is just a bonus package.

▸ being alone or being in a crowd? I’d say he’s ambivert about it.

▸ order or anarchy? What started as order is now evolving into anarchy :) Pekopon is really powerful like that.

▸ painful truths or white lies? White Lies. Truth hurts and Keroro can’t bring himself to say the truth sometimes. Might be a commanders mindset to coat things in lies. He usually means well with his lies. He just,,,,,hates being the messenger for truths. I’d say he’s pretty decent at lying.

▸ science or magic? Both – the two can co-exist! He prefers magic over science though.

▸ peace or conflict? Peace, ultimately; however, his actions in the present lean more toward the conflict end of the spectrum.

▸ night or day? No preference on this.....I’ve tried begging him to pick one and he’s just :shrug: emoji LOL

▸ dusk or dawn? Same as above........lil snob 

▸ warmth or cold? Neither. Being too hot dries him out and being too cold makes him pass out. He likes to stay in the cozy.png temperature 

▸ many acquaintances or a few close friends? Close friends 

▸ reading or playing a game? Both, but it depends. He loves reading manga and he adores video games. Though he reads more manga than he does play games. And manga is really the only thing he enjoys reading. The frog is on a teeter totter on this.

QUESTIONNAIRE

▸ what are some of your muse’s bad habits? Lies, being lazy, overly crying, a bit selfish and sometimes he manipulates people to get his way

▸ has your muse lost anyone close to them? how has it affected them? He’s lost a few, most of all left in order to protect him and his friends. Keroro has let out good cries about it, but he moves on. Somehow he manages to move on from it. It might be the fact people come and go all the time in his life, it just hurts more when he’s felt a connection. He really hates goodbyes and makes it appoint to let everyone know that when he leaves, its not forever.

▸ what are some fond memories your muse has? Building Gunpla for him and Giroro and seeing the joy on his face with how cool the toy look, despite how poorly it was made. He’s not too proud of his childhood self but it little things part of it that make it worthwhile. He also takes it deep to heart with all the activities he does with Fuyuki. Spending time with that kid makes him so happy. That’s his little brother!! 

▸ is it easy for your muse to kill? Absolutely not. He was hardened by the military but since coming to Pekopon, he’s become very soft. He does make threats and sometimes does do operations that could potentially badly damage a pekoponian, but he’s never keen on seeking blood. Keroro’s come to Pekopon to dominate it, but that doesn’t mean he has to kill people to do it. Roughing them up is the extent he’ll do ( jazz hands to his operation of using drawers to slam into people’s toes and expected it make people crippled ).     If he kills or attempts to do so. It’s more likely not him, it’s the Keron Star.

▸ what’s it like when your muse breaks down? He rarely has breakdowns. Keroro DOES cry a lot and it’s easy to hurt his feelings, but they’re never breakdowns. He does sob out how much he’s sorry when reminded how horrible he treated Dororo as children. That’s the fastest way to make him snap and weep. He’s pretty loud about it too, even his tears are fat. Even has snot dripping from his nose     Usually he runs away, he can’t deal looking like a hot mess in front of people when he gets this way. Depending on the situation, he might have tantrum breakdown or get on his hands and knees and sob like a baby. It’s.   .    .really heartbreaking to hear him sob too.

▸ is your muse capable of trusting someone with their life? Yes. He even trusts Kululu with his life. The platoon is supposed to protect their leader, right? Even if he deserves beatings, they won’t let him get killed lmao.

▸ what’s your muse like when they’re in love? Picture a highschool girl crushing on the dude she likes. Really giddy and just full of butterflies and daisies. He usually cracks jokes to make them laugh since he really doesn’t know any other way to express he likes someone. Though while dating, he’s really clingy and likes being near his partner. Maybe hold hands for like, forever and give lots of head rubs, yessir. He’s not the best with picking out date activities fbhkerghj. Simply just hanging out at home is enough.

However, he is a bit partial to “darling”, “sweetie” and “sweetheart”. Italian pet names are also very powerful in being able to fluster him. FAVOURITE CANON SHIP(S): Mario is often flirted with by many female characters over the course of the games, but it goes without saying that my favorite canon ship is Mario/Peach. I do also appreciate Mario/Pauline in AUs pertaining to his past. FAVOURITE NON-CANON SHIP(S): Everybody knows by now that I love Mario/Geno. It started as a bit of a secret guilty pleasure ship, but thanks to a certain bunny (cough, @sternenteile, cough), I’m more open and shameless about it. OPINION ON TRUE LOVE: Mario wholeheartedly believes in true love. No matter how it manifests, he thinks there’s love in anything, whether it be romantic, platonic, or just the goodness in your heart. OPINION ON LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT: He believes very much in love as first sight considering that’s how he fell for both Pauline and Princess Peach. However, this isn’t to say he’ll fall in love just based on looks; they speed up the process, sure, but in order to fully hook him, you need to be a nice person with a pleasant personality. HOW ‘ROMANTIC’ ARE THEY?: When in a relationship, Mario is the textbook definition of romantic. He’ll do everything he can to spoil you; pet names, affection, random unexpected acts of kindness, gifts, fancy outings, and so on. He isn’t above fighting the world for his love and he’ll always let you know just how much you mean to him. IDEAL PHYSICAL TRAITS: As stated before, he is often drawn to looks, but once he gets to know the person behind them, looks no longer concern him. He’ll also purchase movies for the both of you to enjoy. DO THEY HAVE A TYPE?: It’s been shown in canon that he seems to have a thing for tall folks in places of power. Pauline and Peach greatly tower over him, and both are in societal places of power; a bustling town’s mayor and a large kingdom’s royal monarch, respectively. However, this often extends into his love of confidence. AVERAGE RELATIONSHIP LENGTH: Mario has only been in one official relationship and it lasted for about two and a half years. The break-up was mutual and amicable, reason being Pauline became busy with running for New Donk City mayor and lost her romantic feelings for Mario along the way. In my headcanon, Pauline realized she didn’t feel romantic feelings for Mario anymore because she found out she was a lesbian, but I’ve left this part open-ended in my muse backstory so that any and all Pauline partners that crop up can spin their own take on interactions. Whether or not she’s a lesbian depends on the whim of the partner. That being said, Mario didn’t feel any hard feelings about the breakup, and he is still friends with Pauline today. PREFERRED NON-SEXUAL INTIMACY: Anything and everything; kissing, hugging, hand-holding, nuzzling, sleeping together, cuddling, playing together, sharing, etc.  COMMITMENT LEVEL: Mario is deathly loyal. It’s no secret that he’d die a million deaths for the person he loves, whether that love be romantic or platonic. When in a relationship, he’s committed ‘til the end. He’d never hurt you and he’d never play with your emotions.
