Bad Girl -Mizu x fem!reader -warnings: nsfw, you fucked around and are about to find out, dom! Mizu, sub! reader, spanking, hair pulling, name calling, degradation, face sitting, pussy slapping, strap on, Mizu kinda mean, but makes it up with aftercare and being gentle -minors dni or I'll steal all of your left shoes -reblogs and comments are appreciated ;]
You should've listened to her, now look at where you're at.
You're laid out across her lap, tears pricking your eyes and her hand comes down across your ass. It hurt so bad, but also hurt so good. She was still upset with you from earlier in the day.
"I told you not to go in without my command," she repeated, slapping your already reddened ass, "But who didn't listen? Hm? Who decided to act like the fucking brat they are and run in?" Mizu questioned, slapping again.
"M-Me..I did.." you whimpered, earning yourself another slap. "I was the brat who didn't listen to you..." panting, the slaps stopped for a second. Mizu breathed through her nose before grabbing the back of your hair and pulling your backwards, making you yelp.
"I wanted to have a good night with you, you know that? Fuck you in this little hotel after a hard day. But you decided to act like a little bitch and defy me...Siding with Taigen on just going in like an idiot instead of sneaking around someone who could barely hear!" she said, looking at your pathetic expression and hearing a small, just as pathetic 'I'm sorry'
"I don't want to hear you're sorry...You're going to show it," she said, moving you off her lap. You watched her undress herself, removing her navy-blue everyday attire and her underwear. She carefully took of the bandages around her chest, looking down at you, "On your back..."
You listened, not wanting to piss her off even more. You watched as Mizu stood over you, soon kneeling and resting her cunt in your mouth, "You know what to do, or do I have to tell you want to do again?" she snapped, making you act fast. Your tongue and mouth immediately started working on her pussy. Licking her wet hole, your nose rubbing and bumping again her hardened clit.
Though you did piss her off, you knew how to please her without any problem. She wanted to keep being mad at you...but your face is so adorable.
Mizu moaned softly, looking down as you . Your eyes were closed, but she could tell from your actions how eager you were to taste her. Her hand rested on top of your head, "That's it, fuck, you know how to eat my cunt...Maybe I might forgive you if you can make me cum," she smirked, moving her hips to grind against your face.
You groaned, humming as your touching dipped in and out of her. Mizu's pussy was warm, and you loved it. Knowing this was a punishment, you still couldn't help but love how she shoved her cunt into your face. When she started to move her hips, her moans grew since your nose was rubbing against her clit.
Her grinding gotten faster, moaning like whore in a brothel, "Fuck..! Ah, yes my dove...K-Keeping going.." she panted, eyes closing as she bends forwards and places her hands down on the wooden floor beneath you two. Mizu's whines and moans gotten louder, making you work harder.
Mizu's movement halt, a hand holding onto your hair tightly as she came in your mouth. Her moans was so beautiful and powerful. Her pants softened, moving off your face. Mizu's slick was covering your mouth, chin and nose area. You opened your eyes and looked at her.
She pulled you up and kissed you, even if she was still pissed at you. Mizu rested your head in her lap, her hand moving between your legs to circle your clit. Mizu wanted to prep you, "You're going to take my fingers and fucking like it," she growled, her middle finger slipping into your already wet pussy.
"Aw? Wet from me riding your face? Cute..." she mumbled, her fingers moving fast. Your moans were uncoordinated and loud, "M-Mizu..! Thank you for giving me your fingers," you said, feeling your lower stomach coil in pleasure. She fingers were long and slender, making it easy for her to hit your g-spot.
She wasn't going to let you cum, but bring you close enough to drive you crazy. When she pulled her fingers out, you wanted to protest...but you knew better. Mizu lightly slapped your cunt, smiling mischievously at you, "Did you really think I was going to let you finish? Stupid, stupid girl..."
You know couldn't have complained even if you wanted to, it would've fell on deaf ears. While you laid on the floor, Mizu was putting the strap on her body. Her body language showed on of a predator over it's prey. She moved between your legs and positioned herself.
Running the tip over your slit, "I don't know if you even deserve this tonight..." she said, tutting at you. You shook your head, "N-No! Please! I'll be good, Mizu. Please, I'm so sorry for earlier...I want to be your good girl again," you pleaded with her, tears threating your eyes. You already felt so bad from today's mission, you at least wanted to make it up to her.
She noticed your tears. She was mean, not cruel. Even if she was cruel, it would never be towards you. Mizu knew you always wanted to make her happy, she wiped your tears, "Fine, you took your punishment already..." she said, slowly pushing into you. Your small gasp made her smile. As she thrusted into you, you held onto her. You shouted her name like prayer, like you needed her. And you did. Mizu looked down as she thrusted, her hard rhythmic thrusts hitting your spot every time.
"You don't listen, that makes you a bad girl...But I know how desperate you are to be my good girl again," She panted, watching your face as you moan and take everything, she had to give you. Nodding your head, you wanted to be her.
"Say 'I'm a spoiled brat and don't know how to listen unless I have a dick fucking me'..."
"I-I'm a spoiled b-brat and don't know how to listen...u-unless I have a dick fucking me!"
"Say it again..."
"I'm a spolied brat who l-loves being fucked..!
You moaned loudly, the sound of skin her skin slapping against yours. As she talked you through, you got close again. "Mizu...C-Can I cum? Please, please, please let me..." you begged, holding onto her tightly.
As much as she didn't, you already took so much and she already took a lot of anger out on you regrading today's mission. She gave you a nod, only to move harder and faster. Mizu rested her head in the crook of your neck, focusing on her movements as you moaned louder. Soon your legs wrapped around her waist, clinging tightly as you finished.
Soon, you were laying in her lap. Mizu was applying an aloe-based lotion to your bum, knowing you were sore from the spanking. You looked so beautiful and peaceful in her arms. Your soft smile as she rubbed the lotion into your skin.
"Did I hurt you bad?" she asked, making you shake your head. "Not al all...but I am sorry from earlier today," you frowned, looking up at her "I should've listened to you...I was just so caught up in the adrenaline that I just...went," you explained, holding onto her.
She nodded, holding you close. You looked so upset with yourself, "My dove...I don't doubt your upset with yourself. I just...I just want you to be safe and I don't think I could ever handle you ever getting hurt," She admitted, kissing your cheek.
"You won't lose me, I promise you..." You smiled, kissing her gently. Mizu couldn't have been happier with you.

Fowler: I could kill you if I wanted.
Reader: Yeah? So could any other human being. So could a dog. So could a dedicated duck. You aren't special.
Akemi: Did you really have to stab him?
Reader: You weren't there, you didn't hear what he said to me.
Akemi: And what did he say?
Reader: "What are you gonna do? Stab me?"
Mizu, nodding: That's fair.
Akemi: NO!
Reader: *Screams*
Taigen: *Screams louder to establish dominance*
Ringo: Should we do something?
Mizu: No, I want to see who wins.
Ringo:Let's speak about our talents.
Ringo:...I'll start, I like to cook.
Akemi: I'm good at languages.
Reader: I'm good instruments.
Mizu: I'm good at killing people.
Reader: *Does something stupid*
Mizu: What an absolute fucking idiot.

I was thinking abt english!reader back to japan with mizu, she doesn't have any experience with chopsticks, right? So I was thinking about having diner, taigen ranting and everything and mizu halfway through her meal just notices readers meal untouched and reader struggling so she just ends up feeding reader.
(also i don't know if you do rq but if you like I would be glad if you elaborated more :])
pairing: mizu x fem!english!reader
warning(s): light swearing, taigen is a warning in itself
a/n: this hits home because I a basic american do not know how to use chopsticks
summary: your eating dinner when mizu notices you not eating. her eyes travel to your hands, messing with the chopsticks in your hands.
word count: 554 words / 3,063 characters
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
your eyes flickered from mizu to taigen, watching as the pair chatted. well, it was mostly taigen talking— ranting about his days work, and how his chignon had finally grown back after mizu had sliced it clean off.
than, your eyes landed on your food.
it was good food, yes, ringo had cooked it—and he was an excellent cook.
yet you hadn’t touched it.
your eyes than drifted to the chopsticks, letting out a quiet enough sigh that mizu couldn’t hear it. you had come from england where they used utensils such as forks, knives, and spoons.
here, they used chopsticks. sticks, to eat your food.
it’s not that you didn’t respect the culture, by not using them—
—you seriously just didn’t know how to use them.
so, you left your food untouched.
mizu felt her attention drifting away from taigen, tired of listening to his voice, if she were being completely honest with herself. her blue eyes landed on you.
you.. weren’t eating.
she watched as you spun the chopsticks in your fingers, gazing down at them with somewhat of a sad expression on your lips.
“my love…” she whispered, seeing your head perk up a little, “why haven’t you eaten?”
you looked away, embarrassed by your lack of knowledge, “I-I don’t..” you murmured. “I-I don’t know how to use these.”
you held the chopsticks up to her, her expression softening at your words. she nodded, sliding closer to you. she grabbed the chopsticks from your hands.
“I can show you later,” she whispered. “for now.. you need to eat.”
mizu slid the chopsticks into the noddles, picking a few up and holding them up to your lips.
you giggled at her, your face blushing red as you allowed her to feed you.
".. you two are weird," taigen huffed, folding his arms across his chest, "now, are we going to get back to our conversation, mizu, or not?"
she rolled her eyes, "you think im weird for making sure my wife eats?"
"not that she eats, that you're feeding her like a baby bird!" taigen hissed, "now answer my question."
"hmm--no," she hummed, turning back to look at you as you happily allowed her to feed you.
after taigen and ringo had left, mizu sat you comfortably back at the table--sitting herself behind you. she grabbed the chopsticks, and adjusted one in the crease where your thumb met your palm.
"now bend your finger," she gently pushed on your pointer finger, creasing it a little and sliding the other stick under your bended finger.
she straightened out your middle finger, and curled the rest of your fingers downward.
"now hold this one with these two fingers," she adjusted your ring and pink against the first chopstick. "and this one with these fingers."
she adjusted your middle and pointer against the second stick, holding it firmly so it would slip away.
"now eat," she let go of your hands, and wrapped her arms around your waist.
you weren't the best at it, but you managed to pick up the food well enough to eat.
"now you don't need me to feed you." she chuckles.
you laugh along with her, and place a kiss on her forehead. "thank you, sweetheart. can we please go to sleep? i've had enough of taigen for one evening."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
a/n: I literally pulled up a pic of how chopsticks were supposed to be held (step by step) and just wrote that shit down. next time I eat with those fuckers im coming back to this fic

You’re taking off out of the library faster than Mizu can keep up with. Struggling to steady the parasol over your head, she dreads the moment you’ll be inside; more aptly, she’s dreading the scolding she’s bound to receive due to you getting wet. She grunts, hurrying her walking to stay next to you. Nearly leaving her behind, you finally make it to your room, doors clattering open.
“I hate those books,” you grumble, perched over the sink in your personal bathroom. “They’re so… boring, they make me sick.”
Mizu watches as you retch, color drained from your face. In a panic, she strokes your back. However, you’re quick to wave her hand away, agitated. When the heaves of your chest finally slow to a halt, you press your heated forehead against the coolness of your sink. There’s a dry irritation in your throat and your eyes are scorched with pinpricks of tears. At the back of your mind you’re acutely aware of how unsightly you must look right now; the thought only serves to embarrass you further. Knuckles white from the grip you hold on the sink, you push to straighten yourself. When you do, you’re met with Mizu’s inquisitive gaze.
“Miss…?” She questions, but it’s not interrogative.
“I’m fine. Please go.” You tear yourself away from her eyes, finding you shrink under her authority despite her rank below you.
“You should-”
“Mizu, I’ve asked you to leave. Please.”
The disgruntled exhale from her nose is audible. She doesn’t speak another word to you before closing the bathroom door behind her, leaving you alone.
In the morning, when Mizu goes with all the other servant girls for breakfast, she finds one of them sniffling. Ise, she thinks, is the girl’s name. When Ise sees her, she skitters over, holding out Mizu’s missing shoe. You must have said something, either to Madame Kaji or the girl herself. Mizu scoffs and takes it back ungraciously. It’s no matter to her anymore, as she sits with her breakfast and listens to the chatter.
When whispers of The Count’s name pass through again, she almost snorts. He had been delayed yesterday, by something or other– she knew it probably had to do with the plan the two of them had. Something about making you wait, growing your anticipation. Some flirting tactic she had no interest in hearing about, especially not from Taigen. She’d never heard of any successful romances on his part, so she doubted he could know all that much about genuinely seducing a woman. Besides, your sheltered lifestyle meant you’d likely give your heart up in seconds once he threw some compliments and risque touches your way. Part of her was thrilled he’d finally be on his way here to get the plan truly in motion. With her bowls empty, she’s speeding to your room.
“Miss!” She calls for you.
The two of you hadn’t spoken since the incident last night. You hadn’t requested her presence at your bedside, choosing to derobe yourself.
But still, you smile when you hear her.
“Hello, Mizu.” You greet her, chin resting in your palm.
She stares at you like you’re mad. “Get up then, we’ve got to get you ready for the day. A bath, first.” Her hands take hold of your arms, guiding you into the bathroom.
With curtains drawn, the sunlight is dim, soaking the room in a gentle warmth. You watch as Mizu effortlessly prepares your tub, checking the temperature of the water. Satisfied, she gestures to you and your clothes.
“I’ll undress myself, thank you.” You mutter.
It’s been a few days of having Mizu as your new handmaiden, yet you insisted on taking care of clothing yourself. Despite it being a duty expected of her, she was nothing but respectful of your wishes. She tries to not stare as she hears the thudding of your elegant fabrics hitting the floor. Obviously, she’d have to bathe you, so she’d see everything. But it was just this once. You’d be swept up by The Count, then off to whatever madhouse would take you, and then…
“The Count is coming today.” She tells you, breaking herself out of whatever impending thought she had.
“That’s why you’ve set all this up.” You state, finally bare.
And then you’re dipping yourself into the water, carefully minding the table of soaps and oils Mizu had rolled over. Immersing yourself from the neck under, you bob back up to sit comfortably.
“Here,” Mizu mumbles, handing you a candy. “Back home, my aunts used to give candy to the babies they’d bathe.”
“So you’re treating me like a baby?” You chuckle, unwrapping the candy and savoring the sweetness of it.
“You’re like one, aren’t you? It’s as if you’re my baby.” She laughs– your heart stutters– scattering an assortment of floral petals into the bathwater.
Overkill, you’re sure, but it endears you. Your eyes follow her, her actions; she’s so dutiful in her work. A hush falls over the two of you. Mizu is concentrated, though when she sees your face fall, she stops. You’re pawing at the side of your jaw, letting out a broken groan of pain.
“Is something wrong?”
“I have a sharp tooth,” You whine. “When I eat… it cuts me.”
She hums in response, tilting your chin up with a hand. With her other, she drags a finger along the row of your teeth. When she comes across the pointed one, she hisses and steps back. At the table of objects next to her, she shuffles through, diligently searching for something.
“I remember,” You hear her call out. “One time, a relative used a thimble to grind down the sharp tooth of her son.”
Your teary eyes follow her as she hurries back to your side.
“Say ‘ah.’” She tells you, opening her mouth for you to mimic.
There’s a jolt in her at how comfortably you obey, how your lips part, how your mouth welcomes the intrusion.
Cradling your neck in her left hand, the thimble on her right thumb scrapes across your tooth. It’s a foreign feeling, one that brings along discomfort with it. You try your best to focus on the remnants of sugar on your tongue, the heat of your bathwater; but what helps the most is holding onto Mizu’s elbow. Her sleeve rolled up, you run your fingers back and forth as she continues her ministrations.
She suppresses a shiver at your touch– she can feel your knuckles tense when there’s a particularly uncomfortable drag of the thimble, she can feel the slight bite of pain as your nails sink into her skin. Even with the way her skin blooms red from your actions, you handle her with more nicety than she’d experienced before. Her eyes never stray far from your mouth, but…
But she follows the droplets that run down the bare flesh of your chest, meeting the water once more. It would be easy to let her left hand trail down, down your wet skin from pulse point to collarbone to the softness of your breasts that peek out just over the surface.
That fragile, delicate softness.
“All done.” She pulls her thumb from your mouth, mindful to not let the thimble hurt you on its exit.
You’re staring at her, eyes never leaving her own. You must’ve seen them lower and lower until no longer appropriate. She could sense the rush of heat to the tips of her ears. Depositing the thimble into the front pocket of her apron, she sits with her back to the tub.
“Go ahead and finish washing.” Her voice is husky, mouth dry.
She tries to not think about quenching her thirst with the water clinging to your body.
Palpable silence stays in the room until you’re clothed once more.
Mizu stands in the far corner, squinting as Taigen– playing as The Count, of course– greets you. The two of you had spent what felt like an agonizing amount of time going over your hair, makeup, and dress.
“Ah, you didn’t have to get all done up to see me.” He grins, laying the sleaze on thick.
A shy expression befalls you; the hint of a flirtatious smile.
“Your painting lessons, I promise they’ll be exhilarating for you,” Taigen winks, though he catches sight of Mizu in the mirror behind you. Turning, he opens his arms wide in a friendly gesture. “This must be your handmaiden! The one I so honorably recommended.”
Mizu wonders how the fuck he can go on and on without giving anyone else a chance to speak. Or have you been stunned into silence? Did you really think of him that highly already? “Yes, at your service.” She takes a shallow bow.
“Are you carrying out your duties well?” Taigen asks, stepping over to her. “It’ll make me look bad if you aren’t.”
“You picked perfectly for me.” You chime in behind him.
“So I did a good job,” That smarmy upturn of his lips is back again as he flicks a coin towards Mizu. “Take this, and keep taking good care of our Lady.”
She can barely contain her complaint, holding back a disgusted ‘ugh’ as he walks out of the room. You’re still over in your corner, looking demure. If Taigen were still in the room, he’d slap Mizu on the head and tell her to strike. So, she does.
“The Count sure is nice, isn’t he?” She plays up an exaggerated smile, fussing at your clothes to busy her hands.
You give a shrug in return, already heading back to your room before she can analyze your reaction and pinpoint your exact feelings for The Count.
Mizu’s breath runs ragged as she hurries to the guest room Taigen resides in. One of the other servant girls had fetched for her, claiming he needed Mizu for an errand. She knew that meant he had something important to tell her, though part of her felt remorse at having to leave your side. A loneliness swam in your eyes, that pout of yours betraying your usually stoic, posh demeanor. Your lips haunt her mind as she travels; the docile way they had parted upon request, or was it moreso a command? Did you care to discern the difference? Though, she supposes, someone like you deserves…
Taigen’s door slides open with an urgency that knocks the wind out of her. It nearly bounces back closed, before his hand stops it. Grabbing at Mizu’s sleeve, he tugs her into the room and shuts the door eagerly. She can’t even focus in time for Taigen to start hushedly whooping, arms waving in the air.
“Easy, idiot,” Mizu puffs, flipping that coin he’d given her back in his direction. “Did you really think you could fool me with that shit fake?”
To you, she’s been your handmaiden that does her duties to whatever standard you deem suitable to hold her to. If you said jump, she’d say how high. But Taigen knows better. He knows when someone tells her to jump, she asks how much.
And he knew that very well when he recruited her.
In that last month before Mizu came to be by your side, she was approached by the son of a local farmer. Taigen. The two lived in a poor, weary village. Little luxuries were afforded to them. It only made sense that in an unseen corner, thievery would thrive here. In that small hut on the outskirts of her home, Mizu would learn everything– pick-pocketing, forgery– and would grow to excel at it.
It’s why, when Taigen shows up in a suit far outside his price range, he’s quick to pick her out of the rest. He’s boasting of how grand a plan this is. How you have millions, and that your current fiance was looking for the same thing he was: getting their hands on that fortune. Taigen’s the one to claim he can snatch you right under that old man’s nose. Mizu almost retorts with a ‘what do you know about love?’ but she holds her tongue.
“After the job is done, you can get all of the mistress’ dresses and jewelry. Everyone here will get a share of fifty thousand.” There’s gasps as he finishes speaking. To them, fifty thousand is more money than they’d all seen in their lifetime, combined.
Mizu nods with a hand on her chin, tapping her foot. “On top of the fifty, I want my own hundred thousand. That’s my price.”
Taigen agrees effortlessly. He insists that Mizu go through the next few days ‘training’ with him. She had never been a maid of any sort before, born into criminality, so she needed at least some preparation. Otherwise this plan would be doomed from the start. For starters, he spends way too long teaching her how to make herself blush. Calling you an ‘uppity bitch’ who would succumb to the inferiority complex of a poor handmaiden. He makes sure she knows to not let you think; no questions, take care of everything in a matter-of-fact way. Honestly, Mizu cares little for whatever Taigen lectures her on. He’s just like her– a poor criminal looking for a way out. She knows she’s intelligent, and she knows how to use people to her advantage. Taigen, on the other hand, is rarely ever self-aware of the drivel that comes out of his mouth.
At some point, the time passes and Mizu’s faced with her last night in the village. She sits on her knees behind the old woman who’s been taking care of her her whole life. Mizu knows it's thanks to her that she's still here. Not quite a mother, but close enough, after losing her own. Something somber settles in the room, Mizu exhaling a sigh.
“When my mother was hanged,” She starts, combing through the elder’s hair. “Did she cry?”
“Mizu,” Her voice has become frail in the past years, age beginning to get to her. “After your mother had you, she told how she was the luckiest woman. She had no reason to cry, not even when faced with her death. You take after her so much… what a thief you’ll be, one day.”
Taigen snaps a few times, taking Mizu out of her memory. “Look, when I give the signal… ‘fully ripe’, make sure that she and I are alone.”
Mizu raises an eyebrow. “She’s very sheltered, Taigen,” she strolls over to the large bed he’s been provided, flopping backwards onto it. “You could touch her intimately and she still won’t know what you want.”
“Well, do your part then. Everything is because of me.” Taigen states. “Like… her nails growing longer because I’m here. Things like that, she won’t know any better.”
Mizu’s mind drifts. Hand stuck down the front pocket of her apron, she finds herself fiddling with the thimble she left there. You and Taigen, alone… He said he wanted to devour you. She remembers now. Someone like you, she remembers, deserves the touch of someone tender. The Count has teeth, claws given to him as the birthright of being a man in this world. A dark cloud simmered in her at his signal. ‘Fully ripe,’ as if you’re something to be eaten, the only fragment left being an empty pit. No, she had seen you– had seen the flush of your skin, the supple ways your body curved. You were meant for more. You were meant to be given to, not taken from.
But she couldn’t. She had to feed you to an insatiable man. From her palm to the white blades of his teeth, she’d comply. No victimless crimes truly exist, she reasoned. If she had to take advantage of yet another person to get to her goal, what did it matter? She repeats it to herself a few times, a mantra to clear her mind: It has to be done.
“Give her these,” Taigen hands a box to Mizu. “From me, of course.”
Gracefully, you pull the golden rope away from the box, admiring the floral pattern atop it. When you open it, revealing the earrings inside, your face lights up.
Taking one of them, you hold it up to your ear and look in the mirror. “Mizu, these sapphires are so blue!”
Mizu nods, watching your reflection. ‘They suit you’ almost tumbles off her lips. It’ll do her good to remember those will be hers as soon as Taigen gets rid of you.
“They remind me of your eyes, don’t they?” You grin. “Just as pretty, too.”
“Actually, it’s blue spinel.” Mizu mutters, ignoring your previous comment.
“What?” You’re frowning.
“But that’s just as expensive as sapphires.” She’s sputtering and correcting herself, catching her slip up.
“How do you know that?” You’re questioning her, eyes squinted.
“My old mistress taught me. That’s all.” Mizu gulps, rarely ever nervous, but she can’t mess up this far into the scheme.
You nod, unrolling the piece of paper The Count had included in his gift. Mizu exhales, glad you’ve moved your mind onto something else. She lets her eyes scan you as you read, thinking back to what you said. They remind me of your eyes. Just as pretty, too. It’s not hard for her to remember all the times she’d been looked at in fear, cursed at, beaten. All the children of the village who had thrown rocks at her, chased after her. Why were you so different? What gave you the right? The boiling heat of anger starts to crawl under her skin. She has no reason to trust you; at the end of the day, once you learn you’ve been betrayed, you’d take those comments back in an instant. You’d call her ugly. A demon. She knows this. She’ll lock the sound of your voice in the far reaches of her mind and she’ll never think of you again, only ever your money. It has to be done.
So why can’t she stop looking at you? Has she ever seen anything so lovely?
There’s a dinner tonight. You, your ‘husband’, and The Count.
Mizu is sure to pull out one of your fanciest dresses for the night, telling you The Count will love it. You look shy again, putting your cheek in your palm as you coyly smile. A hint of disgust brews in her at your awe of him. But when she follows behind you, down the steps to the dining room, she can’t help but let her eyes roll over your figure. Your hair is up. Would you squirm if she pressed her lips there, on your neck? Even down to where your dress dips, exposing your shoulder blades? Between them, as she pushed your sleeves past your arms? And what if The Count did the same? He’s trashy, unable to hold something so vulnerable in his hands with any grace. It wouldn’t happen. At least, not while Mizu was in the room. If she left you alone with him… would you?
She cares so much because you’re a poor, poor girl, is what she decides. Really, she just feels bad at how badly your heart is going to break when you realize The Count doesn’t love you in return. Anything else is simple curiosity– a destitute criminal pondering on the lifestyle of someone so privileged.
A chair clashes to the floor as soon as Mizu holds the door open for you. Taigen’s standing up, mouth open like a fish out of water.
“You’re incredible!” He yells, gaping shamelessly. “Breathtakingly beautiful.”
Mizu’s fist clenches, nearly drawing blood with her nails.
He’s so full of shit.
a/n: so on the last part i had some people interested in a taglist!! personally, i would feel uncomfortable doing that as there will be eventual nsfw content in this. maybe i'll change my mind, but for now i rather not to avoid minors/ageless blogs being tagged. either way i hope you're all enjoying the read!! i'll try to keep getting chapters consistently out if i can <3

Set In Darkness
Chapter: 8 Author name: ShannaraIsles Rating: M (for language) Warnings: Canon-typical injury and violence; attempted rape/non-con Summary: She’s a Modern Girl in Thedas, but it isn’t what she wanted. There’s a scary dose of reality as soon as she arrives. It isn’t her story. People get hurt here; people die here, and there’s no option to reload if you make a bad decision. So what’s stopping her from plunging head first into the Void at the drop of a hat?
The Unwary
Why did she drink so much last night?
After her highly stimulating session with the commander, Rory had made the unwise decision to go to the tavern, where Varric had introduced her to the wonders of fermented berry wine and then attempted to embarrass her with a game of Wicked Grace, where the stakes were either secrets or clothes. What he didn't know was that, even drunk, Rory could hold her own. Wicked Grace was not that different from poker, and she'd learned how to play poker from an elderly lady with advanced dementia on some interminable night shifts. By the time he called a halt to the game, Varric was down to his pants - having refused to stake secrets himself - and all Rory had had to give up was one expletive-ridden anecdote about the scar on her inner left forearm. She'd gone to bed feeling very pleased with herself, but, oh, she was paying for it today.
But despite the killer hangover, she still had work to do. There were medicines to make up, bandages to change, the clinic to clean. Fabian needed more lessons in basic care, which was normally easy when she didn't have a queasy stomach and dizzy head. By mid-morning, they'd opened the clinic, and soon had a line of people waiting to see them; mostly newcomers, soldiers and servants from the retinues of nobles passing through Haven on their way to the Temple. By the middle of the afternoon, however, they'd seen all these, and Rory was going stir-crazy being stuck inside. So when she overheard Master Taigen complain of being low on elfroot, she immediately volunteered to go and gather more.
With a canvas sack in hand, she passed through the training ground on her way east to the forest where elfroot grew in abundance.
"Hey, Rory!"
Pausing, she turned at the sound of the familiar voice, smiling as Rylen jogged over to her.
"And where're you off to, oh illustrious healer of warts and all?" he asked cheerfully. "You look like a woman on a mission."
"Afternoon, Rylen," she greeted him warmly, shading her eyes from the sun. "I am on a mission. I have to fill my sack with elfroot leaves, or Master Taigen will turn into a kindly old man."
"Och, we can't have that, can we?" The Starkhaven captain laughed his robust laugh. "Haven might sink if he learned how to smile."
She laughed with him. "I'm doing my bit for the good of the community."
Rylen's smile faded as he glanced at the trees. "Just don't go far, aye?" he suggested. "My boys mentioned seeing a camp out that way. We might have some unwelcome visitors in the those woods."
"I'm sure I'll be fine," Rory assured him. "I won't be gone long."
"Mind you're not, I'll be keeping an eye out for you," he warned with a smile. "Good hunting, Ror."
"Have fun beating the dummies, Ry," she answered, smiling as she turned to continue on her way. She liked Rylen; he always managed to send her off with a smile, no matter her mood.
Still, it was a little unsettling to be walking alone into the woods after his warning. Until now, Haven had been a safe place to be. Oh, she knew that wasn't going to last, but she'd convinced herself that demons were all she had to worry about in the near future. It hadn't occurred to her that humans or elves might be a threat to her safety, despite all the play-throughs with predictable bandits. But then, bandit was just a word to her; avatars who only attacked the well-armed and armored player character so she could up her XP. She'd forgotten that here, bandit could mean anyone, and they were actually more likely to prey on the defenseless. And defenseless was a very good word to describe Rory in this world.
All the same, she did carry a knife, even if that little blade spent most of its time in the sheath at her belt. Not today, though. Today, her little knife was busy, harvesting leaves from the elfroot stems she found growing in abundance in a wide patch just beyond the logging stand. To date, she wasn't sure why only the leaves were required from a plant called elfroot, but she wasn't going to start experimenting. Tried and tested techniques that worked in this world were just fine.
Time spent outside did wonders for her lingering headache, the last of her hangover easing away in the fresh air and the quiet. That was something she was still getting used to - Haven was so noisy. From dawn 'til dusk, the little village rang with the sound of people going about their business. There was the forge, the training ground, the chatter of men and women as they gossiped over their chores, and underneath it all, the continuous drone of the Chant of Light. Even at night, the Chantry stayed awake, brothers and sisters reciting the canticles in shifts, fulfilling their part of Andraste's promise. Yet out here, in the middle of the day, it was so quiet. Just half an hour from the village, and you could be forgiven for thinking you were miles away from any kind of civilization. All she could hear was the breeze in the trees, and the shuffling crunch of druffalo hooves over the snow. It was peaceful, calming, and as she worked, Rory found herself humming, making music for the first time since Ria's death. The intrusion of an unexpected voice brought her humming to an abrupt end.
"Pretty tune from a pretty girl."
The accent was French - Orlesian, Rory - and belonged to a man about her own age, dressed in hunting leathers, and lounging against a tree not too far away. He was armed with long knives at his belt, and was looking at her with more than simple interest.
Rory's fingers tightened about the hilt of her small knife. "Thank you," she said warily. "What brings you out here?"
"Milord prefers to eat game hunted by those he trusts," the hunter told her, pushing away from his tree. "As for me, I am delighted to find beauty in these ill-favored wilds."
Forget the elfroot. Feeling the alarm bells ringing in her nerves, she rose to her feet, her half-filled sack in her hand. "Well, I'm expected back at the village," she informed him. She knew this feeling, had felt it often enough when walking home late at night through London's quiet streets. It was fear, naked and raw, and cramping her throat as her heart began to pound. "They'll miss me if I'm gone too long."
She made to leave the little clearing, but he stepped in front of her, a predatory darkness about his eyes that made her back away quickly, gripping her knife harder. A knife she didn't know how to use. If this was a story, rescue would already be on its way. But as he advanced on her, she knew this was no story. She was alone, defenseless, and this man was a born predator who had found easy prey.
"We won't be long, petit," he told her, laughing as she raised her little knife between them. "Be a good girl, and I won't slice your pretty throat with your pretty little blade."
"That's my choice?" she heard herself demand shakily, unable to keep her incredulity silenced. "Lie back and take it, or you'll kill me when you're finished?"
"You will not get a better offer, petit."
It wasn't the words that frightened her so much as the way he said them - as though no one would blame him even if he did kill her. As though she deserved what he intended simply by virtue of being female and out of sight of help. As though raping her was his right, and somehow her life was a generous gift in exchange.
A sensible person would probably have taken the offer, knowing without needing to test the theory that he was more than capable of doing worse than just raping and killing her. Rory, however, had regular bouts of unsensible behavior, especially under duress. "I think I'll take my chances, thanks," she spat at him in sheer bravado, and lunged, slashing wildly at his face with her knife.
He easily sidestepped her attack, catching her wrist as she made an attempt to get past him. Strong fingers bent her hand back, cruel eyes glinting as she cried out in pain, the knife falling from her fingers. Caught, she tried to pull away, opening her mouth to scream for help in the vain hope that someone might be near enough to hear. The hunter dragged her back, throwing her down onto the unforgiving snow with enough force to knock the breath from her lungs, and before she could raise herself to scramble away, he was on her. Rough hands ripped at the laces of her bodice, tearing the linen shift beneath, snarling as she cried hot tears, begging him not to do this. He ignored those tears, too strong to fight off; a monster in human form that pawed and bit at her bared flesh, too hot, too heavy, too hungry, too self-important to care that she was unwilling.
His mouth slobbered over her neck, teeth biting savagely as she struggled, big hands reaching down to drag her skirt upward, to push his pants downward, discounting the push of her hands, the kick of her legs ... and suddenly he roared in pain, blood spurting from a wound in his shoulder to splatter hot against her skin. The hunter raised himself from his prey, and a short figure seemed to materialize from nowhere beside him, planting a firm kick into that injured shoulder to send him sprawling onto his back. As Rory scrambled back, curling tightly into a sobbing ball, a second figure ambled out from the trees and brought a great hammer down onto the hunter's chest. No amount of fancy leather armor could have stopped that blow, the blunt weapon staving in breastbone and ribs, each one puncturing some organ vital to life. A great geyser of blood erupted from the hunter's mouth and nose, staining the snow with more than blood as death took him swiftly.
It was all over in seconds. Shocked, shaken, terrified, Rory stared at her saviors with wide eyes, unable to keep the tears from flowing. They were dwarves, male and female, cleaning off their respective weapons as though there wasn't a half-naked corpse with very little chest left lying between them.
"Happy now, Malika?" the bearded male was saying. "You know she's going to tell them she saw us."
"Oh, and you would have preferred to just walk past?" the female snapped back. "She won't say a word. Look at her - she's so shaken up, she probably can't even see us."
The male scratched his beard, eyeing Rory thoughtfully. "If you say so," he conceded, nodding to his companion. "Grab his pouch, let's get going."
In a mess, her mind jumbled with thoughts of what almost happened and what did happen, Rory lowered her head to her knees, hugging herself tight as she struggled through her own fear and relief toward some kind of calmness. He might have - But he didn't. He tried to - But he didn't. I could have - But you weren't. Pull yourself together, girl, and get back to Haven. On your feet.
She staggered upright, pulling her torn bodice over her bruised skin, forcing herself to look around the clearing. Who knew how long she'd been crying there? She was alone again but for the cooling body of her attacker, her rescuers long gone. But her half-filled sack of elfroot leaves stood by the path toward Haven, filled to the brim and tied shut, her little knife resting on top of it. Despite her state, she actually laughed at the sight of it, at the knowledge that two dwarven warriors had stopped long enough to finish her harvesting and clean her knife before continuing on their way. Grateful, but desperate to be gone from here, she snatched up the sack and the knife, and ran for the track that would take her back to Haven.
She had just passed Master Taigen's cabin when the Fates conspired to try and kill her with fright for the second time that day. Reassured by the nearing sounds of swords clashing, her frantic pace had slowed enough that she could convince herself to stop and make an effort to repair the damage to her appearance. Her dress wasn't that badly torn, on reflection - the laces were snapped and would have to be replaced, and a long tear along the seam at her left shoulder would need to be sewed up, but on the whole, it wasn't a disaster. The shift beneath was torn to the breast, but again, salvageable. She could feel a bite mark rising into a bruise on her neck, and another where her neck met her shoulder, and her wrist throbbed painfully, but she knew she had been very lucky. She couldn't expect to be that lucky again.
And then a burst of flame ignited the path directly in front of her, ripping a scream from her bruised throat.
"Don't turn around, shem."
The voice was harsh, female, and Rory had no doubt that turning around would result in the next flame taking hold of her. This was not her day. She was never leaving Haven's walls ever, ever again.
"Well, now you've scared her speechless, fa'lon, mind if I do the talking?" a second voice interjected. This one was male, and a lot friendlier.
"Be quick," the female ordered in an unforgiving tone. "They'll have heard her scream."
"This is why the Keeper didn't want you to come, you know," the male responded. He sighed, and Rory heard footsteps moving closer to her back. "Where's the Temple of Ages, please?"
Trembling all over, Rory took a slow breath. Someone will have heard you scream. Answer the nice elf before his friend decides to flambé you. "Temple of Sacred Ashes," she heard herself say in a voice that was too scared to be hers. "Past the village, over the river. It's at the head of the valley." Please don't hurt me.
She heard them move away, but her eyes were focused on a familiar figure visible through the trees ahead of her. They did hear me. Thank gods. Five figures were running toward her as she sank down onto her knees, shaking like a leaf.
"Rory! You all right? What happened?"
Suddenly safe, the shock of her afternoon hit her with the force of a hurricane. She burst into tears, groping her way forward to throw her arms around Rylen as she sobbed out the incoherent story of her misadventures. Her friend held his naked sword away from her as he tucked an arm about her shoulders, listening patiently as she pieced together everything that had happened since she'd left the village.
"You, go back to Haven," he ordered one of his soldiers. "Report to the commander that we need a perimeter sweep now. You three, go to the logging stand and retrieve the body." As the four saluted, moving to follow those orders without a moment's hesitation, he sheathed his sword, turning his attention back to the shaking woman under his arm. "All right, darlin', I've got you. Come along with me, let's get you back to Haven."
Clinging to him, Rory was only too happy to be guided back to the deceptive safety of the stockaded village, too shaken to notice the curious eyes that followed their progress to the clinic, where a horrified Fabian took charge of his traumatized senior. She didn't know how angry people were as word spread of the attack on their healer, how alarmed they were that Dalish elves and unknown dwarves were in the area. She didn't witness how tense things suddenly became when the dead hunter was identified as a man-at-arms in the service of an Orlesian marquis, who had the gall to demand that she was punished for his death. No one told her that Cullen almost broke his hand on the marquis' nose in answer, or that Haven was hastily declared off-limits to all the parties passing through to the Conclave. No one could be trusted but their own, clearly.
All she knew was that the world of Thedas was suddenly a very real, very frightening place. The time had come to start taking things very seriously indeed.

pairing: mizu x fem!archer!reader
warning(s): swearing, mizu + reader having nsfw thoughts about one another + a bit of some nsfw words/scenes
a/n: mizu watching you spar with taigen and he pins you down and she just beats the shit out of him like don’t touch. MINE
word count: 796 words / 4,280 characters
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
you stared at her as you walked. she was walking far ahead of you. just looking at her got you all hot and bothered.
she was undeniably hot. not that you’d ever admit that to her—you’d rather jump out a window than tell her that.
all you could imagine was her, lying with her head nestled between your thighs—fucking you until you couldn’t even shoot your bow and arrow the next day.
you sighed, trying to shake your head of these thoughts.
little did you know—she happened to be thinking the same exact thing.
she was walking in front of you; she couldn’t see you, but she could hear the sound of your footsteps, the sound of you quietly talking with ringo.
so badly did she just want to have you writhing and pleading under her. begging her to continue while she teased your body mercilessly.
those were things she’d rather die without completing her vow then ever admit to anyone. especially you.
but it felt like—every time you as much looked at one another, you could just feel the tension.
when you sparred, breathing heavy, pinned against the wall with her sword pressed against your neck.
the way your eyes locked when you would engage in battle, together.
and simply the way you looked at her from across the room with that.. look in your brown eyes.
she didn’t know what to make of any of it, and she wasn’t going to try, because she was on a quest for revenge—not for love or lust—or.. whatever this was.
when you came to a stop, you were nestled around the fire. she could hear you and taigen sparring just a minute away, she could see you two sparring.
you had taigen pinned to the ground. her face grew hot, both by thinking how attractive you looked while doing it—and by anger. the fact that you were sitting atop of him, and not her..
and she was making you horribly jealous, as well.
the way you saw her.. hovering over top of taigen.. having him pinned by his wrists to your cabin floor.
you went asleep jealous and wildly attracted to her, that night.
“why.. do you keep looking at me, like that?” taigen narrowed his eyes at you.
“because,” you hiss. “I don’t like you.”
“and for what? what in fucking hell did I do to you?” taigen retorts.
“you’re.. into him!” you growl, “and you’re going to stop, or I’m going to shoot an arrow right through your head.”
he snickered, “oh, that’s what this is about,” he rolled his eyes. “you’re jealous.”
“and so what if I fucking am?!” you yelp, definitely loud enough to where mizu could hear you.
“I’ll have you know—I’ve caught him talking about you on many occasions.”
mizu stares at him with wide eyes. she knows what you two are talking about, now.
you shrink back a little, your gaze shifting to mizu as you see her expression.
“I..” she whispers, “he isn’t lying.”
“.. oh,” you mumble. “okay.”
“okay?” she repeats, “what—does that mean?”
“it just means.. okay.” you murmur, “we need to talk, mizu. like.. soon.”
she sighs, “I agree,” her anger shifts to taigen. “now that taigen has decided to go and share all my secrets with whomever he pleases.”
you chuckle, a little, “yes, I suppose.”
“come with me, then.” she gestured for you to follow her.
you quickly take her up on her offer, following her out into the woods.
you walk side by side. you can feel the tension. you were unaware if it was sexual tension, or if she was going to attack you at any moment.
her hands wrap around your body, grasping at your hair as she pushes you up against a nearby tree. you gasp, your face flushing red.
“I’ve waited so long to have you like this,” mizu whispers, her lips hovering just above your ear.
a shaky breath leaves your lips, “never have I wanted something more,” you hiss, gazing at her deep blue eyes, hungry for you.
her lips crash onto yours, a soft moan leaving your lips as she does so. her hands are grasping your hair for dear life, your hands locked around her neck as you kissed her back, the desperation in your lips as you did so.
“maybe.. maybe we shouldn’t be doing this in the woods,” you huff as her lips travel to tu our throat.
“maybe not,” her breathing his heavy, her voice husky. “later, though. I’ll have you in my bed; and have my way with you.”
she hissed the words like she would speak of her vow. unchanging and determined.
she lets go of you, slipping out of the woods, leaving you breathless against the tree.
tonight, then.
I’ve been thinking about this idea/prompt approximately for a week, and it may sound silly, but please hear me out: basically, the lore is Mizu, Taigen & Ringo squad is doing plot stuff together, they need to sneak into a kabuki theatre (I haven’t made up the specific reason why), Mizu gets to “cross-dress” as onnagata for disguise purposes, the usual fighting action happens, and also in the background of all of that Mizu’s crush towards Taigen intensifies, but at the same time she experiences emotional flashbacks of her marriage to bitch Mikio (again)
Main inspirations behind this include: “Noel’s Lament” from Ride the Cyclone musical (the main one), “Vampire Empire” by Big Thief, du_duck’s fanart/video where Mizu also “cross-dresses”, a deleted scene from the show where she checks out herself in the mirror, and various historical & art stuff about kabuki theatre and Edo-era Japan in general that I found online and at the local museum, because I’m a nerd (derogatory)
