Thoughts on second read of Obscuary chapter. (Roughly chronological this time)
Darkwick has a general medical center — so Mortkranken isn't the only medical care on campus, regardless of what Yuri might say
The Gala happens in August, which means the end of the school year is in August, which means there is basically no break between the school years. (Do they have breaks at Darkwick? If they do, are the ghouls allowed to leave? Probably not.)
Moby is barely even trying to hide that Darkwick sees Lyca primarily as a research subject (and MC as his "warden")
Darkwick doesn't trust Subaru anymore? MC asks if Subaru wouldn't be a better mentor, and Moby's like nope but doesn't explain
Kinda sus that the flashback repeats Haku's "have I ever lied to you" line
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What is the "most severe form of disciplinary action"? In Hotarubi chapter, Lyca and Subaru imply that Darkwick planned to kill Lyca if he was, in fact, guilty of murder. Are they going around secretly executing people?
Haku's like "I'm well aware." Does he know someone who was punished this way? (I've been thinking for a while that he's the spy, but that his motivation is trying to protect someone, possibly Rui. I feel like this is another point in that direction.)
Aww, Lyca makes MC sit down when she gets upset remembering the anomaly that cursed her. What a sweetheart.
If the moon is always a crescent in Obscuary, does that mean Lyca doesn't have to worry about transforming if he stays there during the full moon?
...did Rui seriously get cursed by hitting on a Reaper?
Hmm is it just me, or does Subaru not look super thrilled when Lyca says that he's already made a new friend?
Lyca and Rui's reactions to MC saying that she wants to use the Gala to get help breaking her curse — Lyca looks upset (didn't know she was cursed), Rui smiles (proud of his curse twin being proactive)
Rui making Lyca actually work at the bar but telling MC to just relax
Why is Nicolas being so shady about other people (particularly MC) being at the bar?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Benkei only started working at the campus store recently and immediately arranged to start selling anomalous medicine. Maybe he was a former student?
Aww, Lyca takes afternoon naps.
Rui says that going to the basement to make liquor is "always a workout"... and that there are freaky looking plants writhing around down there..... and he wouldn't recommend it unless you're into that kind of thing......... are you keeping a tentacle monster in the basement, Rui???
Towa says that the tree is sick because she's not getting enough love. Possibly she is reacting to the overall tension on campus? Or maybe more people used to be able to see her, but something has happened and they can't? Maybe it's a response to the general students leaving Jabberwock? (Is her hill in Jabberwock or in its own area?)
On first read, I thought maybe Rui was previously in Ultio, since he knew about the prison. Now I think he was held in that prison at some point.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Towa says that Edward doesn't understand love... but he doesn't give a crap about the dog, he's only looking for it for Haru. (Towa loves Haru confirmed?)
Tumblr media
Taiga remembers Ed, even though it's been a while since they've seen each other. Is his bad memory a recent thing, where he only has trouble remembering people he's recently met?
What does this mean? Taiga can (literally or figuratively?) see some kind of danger Ritsu is unaware of?
Tumblr media
Lyca's twitchy ears. So cute...
Darkwick supposedly doesn't know much about MC's curse, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if they're letting it run its course just to study it. If MC wasn't useful as an inspector, she would probably be in a lab or a cell somewhere.
Back on the mission, after discovering that the Barometz is "friendly" — I wonder how much of the previous animosity between ghouls and inspectors was due to stuff like this. Trying to let a peaceful anomaly be.
Tumblr media
In parts of the comic scene, Lyca looks like he's running on all fours. Cuuuuute
Earlier, Rui said that Ed was basically on house arrest. Towards the end of the chapter, Moby calls it a "self-imposed confinement". I don't really trust anything Moby says at this point...
Ed clearly knows more about anomalies than Darkwick does... so they're not asking him, or he's not complying, or they're not listening to him. Why is he at Darkwick anyway? I can't see what he's getting out of this. Is he being detained?
Rui's conversation at the end — honestly, I can see it. His comments about not liking hard work or not reaching out to help people — throughout the whole chapter, he only seems to enjoy helping MC. He's kinda irritated with Lyca and Ed for almost the entire chapter. All of the housework and stuff he does is because no one else will do it, and he literally can't sleep so he's probably bored out of his mind. He chose to start the bar, so he probably enjoys that... but maybe he started do it partly to have more people to talk to. I think the isolation is getting to him and he's starting to feel less "human", in a sense, and detached from society. I think he's starting to warm up to Lyca near the end, at least?

it is still weird to me that she unblocked me and he didn’t. like, she had no ties to me before that, so it’s not gonna be to sentimentally “leave the door open” like I do for literally all but 2 people (fuckface and miya). could be to keep tabs on me, like my friends used to keep an eye on fuckface’s fb after the worst of it to help reassure my paranoia that he wasn’t in town, although I barely use fb and don’t generally link to these accounts from there. (on the other hand I know for a fact this account is pretty easy for him to find, cuz like I said. done it before, even after I changed my url to make fuckface stop reading it. so why bother making sure my fb is accessible in that case?)
idfk man, just one of life’s many mysteries I guess. it’s a weird brain day.
#really gotta get around to finding people who can tolerate That Side of me.#that's the main reason I'm thinking about it now all of a sudden - I actually have the energy to be a bastard.#but I ain't got anyone to be a bastard with.#I feel far too soft about my wife to roughhouse or toy with her like that#even though it's a fun game and a (very specific) form of relationship I like having in my life#although she's been kinda talkative lately which is nice#she was hyperfocused away from me for a while#(she's still hyperfocused she's just more likely to take breaks for conversation now lol)#on the one hand perhaps one worries about running out of things to talk about after a certain number of years#on the other hand I've known Da Gorls effectively my whole life and they were surprised to find out I don't like tomatoes recently lol#I should've saved the link to her alt that fb randomly recommended me.#I'm done picking for now promise.#I will say one thing I noticed (since if anyone is reading this tag they are also prone to snooping :v )#it seems that his reacting to her posts gets marked as 'and 1 more' in the interface since he still has me blocked#if that's the case he did react to the pfp of them together back in november#but he didn't react to the bad news about her dog or her more recent pfp#altho his pfp is still that same pic of the both of them so idk#idk idk I'm just. I'll always be curious about what the fuck happened.#and I'll always a little bit want to re-establish contact with this person who mattered a lot that I didn't voluntarily leave.#and I know very little of what happened but my best guess is there was an ultimatum so I'm off-limits as long as they stay together.#(as if I wasn't the one being honest with everyone and carefully pumping the brakes on the flirting the moment I knew there was a line.)#(it was a real fucked up situation and I literally can't see any wrong move that I made in terms of Moral Backbone.)#(could I have made different choices to get what I wanted? probably. would they have been the right choices? no.)#(I was upfront with both of them and I'm the one who got tossed out to sea for it.)#(ugh. whatever. it's just frustrating.)#(it will be less frustrating once I've finally filled in the holes in my support structure.)#(I just have been Physically Incapable of that.)

OPINION: How I Discovered Haikyu!! (And Myself), Thoughts From a First-Time Viewer
Tumblr media
Haikyu!!'s final season just began, and for years I have been meaning to start watching. Now seems like a great time to rectify that, so I've finally caught up and am eagerly awaiting the next arc to see how the Karasuno Crows fare.
I decided to track my thoughts on everything that happened — something of a time capsule from before the main cast joined together all the way to them competing in Nationals.
Tumblr media
As a baseline, here is everything I knew about Haikyu!! before watching Episode 1:
It's a popular sports anime about volleyball
The main character is the orange-haired kid, Hinata
They're going to go to Nationals. Not sure about the details, but I know they’ll make it into the tournament
I actually watched this with someone who has seen it before. She didn't spoil anything but occasionally gave insight I may not have otherwise realized at the moment.
  Episodes 1-6: Joining the Team
Tumblr media
For the first part of the show, we largely follow Hinata's perspective. As I assumed going in, he's our generally underachieving but unfailingly energetic sports boy who hadn't met anyone who loves his sport as much as him until now. Specifically, he meets Kageyama, one of the best setters in the prefecture.
I started to notice that the storytelling’s actually pretty good when the newly assembled Crows get a practice game with the 4th ranked school in the prefecture. It gives them someone challenging so the main cast can see what they’re up against but also gives them a team close enough to their level that they have a real chance of winning and also keeps the truly powerful foes hidden for later arcs.
I also really appreciate that during the games, the characters try out new things, but are never truly sure that anything will work. It adds some experimentation and uncertainty to every game.
  Episodes 7-10: Crows, Assemble
Tumblr media
The rest of the main cast joins up with the existing group, forming the core rotation of players and major characters in the show.
One of the new characters, Asahi, showcases one of the show’s strong points for me. He's the team’s ace, but both he and Hinata grapple with performance anxiety. As my watch-along partner put it, Hinata’s anxiety comes in waves, mostly during games, while Asahi’s is more of a constant background hum.
As someone who has struggled with anxiety most of my life, I heavily identify with Asahi’s backstory, even down to not going for the spike in the final play of his flashback game due to thinking about how pointless it was since he wouldn't get it through.
  Episodes 11-13: Crows versus Cats
Tumblr media
Karasuno gets its practice game against their rival school, Nekoma. Both teams have fallen from grace in recent years, so this is the Crows’ chance to prove they can crawl their way back to the top and test out their teamwork and strategies from the previous arcs.
At this point, the mind games aspect of each match starts coming through. Both teams try to figure out how their opponents think so they can react faster, while also trying to hide their own tells to keep their opponents guessing.
When Hinata first started closing his eyes to make his special fast attacks with Kageyama, I joked that his power-up was going to be just ... opening his eyes. It turned out I wasn’t far from the truth. It doesn’t work immediately, but all of the Crows start polishing their weaknesses to make for a more well-rounded team.
  Episodes 14-16: Preliminaries Round 1
Tumblr media
As the boys go into the Interhigh Tournament, people whisper about the “Flightless Crows.” They proceed to absolutely crush their first opponents.
The show follows the girls’ volleyball team for a bit, too, amping up the emotions at the end of the first round by cutting between the girls losing while the boys breeze through their sets.
It’s a bit unfortunate the girls are beaten so badly just to show that the boys have grown, especially since they don’t end up getting much screentime for the rest of the show outside of being in the stands or otherwise supporting the boys.
Episodes 17-26: Daito and Aoba Jousai
Tumblr media
After getting through the first part of the tournament easily, Karasuno is up against two powerhouse teams. First: Daito, a school with defense so amazing it’s called “The Iron Wall of Daito.” Second, Aoba Jousai, the school that many of Kageyama’s peers, including the setter he looks up to, enrolled in.
They manage to steal a win from Daito, but ultimately lose to Aoba Jousai.
The ending of this arc was when I realized I was truly invested in the show. For one, my watch-along partner and I were silent during many of the plays instead of joking about anime tropes like we had been in earlier arcs. Second, during one of the final scenes of the season, the entire team went out to eat after the game and we just silently watched everyone slowly start eating and then mutually begin crying.
  Episodes 27-36: Season 2
Tumblr media
As we start Season 2, there is a very clear and welcome difference almost immediately — the animation and camerawork are a lot better. Neither were bad in Season 1, but now they’re on an entirely different level. As my watch-along partner put it, there is some very naturalistic movement in some of the scenes.
Also, this is when the team got a second manager, Yachi. I seriously cannot think of a character I have more personally related to in an anime than Yachi. She is a nervous wreck that is constantly apologizing and gets spooked by every little thing, even as small as someone talking to her. She outright views herself as “Townsperson B,” from when she played that role in drama club. I turned to my watch-along partner and said, “I’m in this picture, and I don’t like it.”
Meanwhile, in the actual plot, my watch-along partner pointed out that while the team started developing specialized skills at their summer camp, the majority of their training seems to be devoted to getting down the fundamentals of every part of the game, then practicing them constantly. Like how Nishinoya is normally the libero and is almost exclusively receiving, but after seeing an opponent’s strategy, wants to learn to toss so he can replicate something he previously lost against.
  Episodes 37-44: Prelims
Tumblr media
The show uses the prelims as an opportunity to shine in two new ways. First, if a player is injured, they're checked to see if it's serious, then given a proper medical exam off the court. No powering through a concussion.
Second, since main characters are no longer guaranteed to be on the court for the entire game, the cast expands to include other members we previously haven't focused on.
My watch-along partner mentioned Ennoshita, Daichi's relief player, a few times throughout the show, so I knew he was going to be important eventually. But to give an idea of how little he impacted things until this point, when he was called in, I exclaimed that they were putting Steve McBlandman in the game. Despite that, he really does get to shine on the court. He’s a nervous wreck at first (join the club), but he’s also most likely to take over as captain once Daichi graduates and proves himself to be a reliable teammate by the time Daichi returns.
  Episodes 45-50: Rematch
Tumblr media
In terms of storytelling, there’s not much to add for this game. The two teams are established factions and we know the stakes, so it’s more of a puzzle to see who can find new strategies during the game and outthink the other team, which is made harder by the rivals bringing in a totally new player referred to as "Mad Dog."
Eventually, Karasuno wins, ending Season 2 with a promise that the finals of the qualifiers for Nationals will be the start of Season 3. Due to knowing a few details ahead of time, I already know a single game will be the entirety of the season.
  Episodes 51-57: Final, Part 1
Tumblr media
As both teams step onto the court and warm up, we are reminded that our heroes are pretty much all nervous wrecks, with most of the team in various stages of being curled up on the ground or asking for nausea medication. And, honestly, I was too. By the time the game hits set four, I wanted to grab my inhaler.
The Crows are up against Shiratorizawa, a team with Ushiwaka, a player so strong that early in the game, it took three blockers and a libero just to return his attack, and later on he managed to dislocate a blocker’s finger with a spike.
  Episodes 57-60: Final, Part 2
Tumblr media
Full Disclosure: I was so invested in this game and the following season I actually forgot to take notes, so everything from here on is a second watch!
In my opinion, everyone gets to shine by the end of the game. Nishinoya sets up a full team synchro attack with his libero toss, Tsukishima is the only person whose blocks come close to keeping up with Ushiwaka, and so on.
  Episodes 61-65: Winter Training
Tumblr media
The first half of the season starts with some of Karasuno’s players being invited to special training camps. Hinata, being too impatient to accept that he hadn’t been invited, infiltrates one.
Since he wasn’t invited, he’s not allowed to play, leading to him needing to watch the players and game instead of the ball for once. As a result, he starts learning to read peoples' tells and building an intuition of how to move, rather than just relying on instinct.
Or, as I said to my watch-along partner the first time around, Hinata has reached his ultimate powerup: thinking.
  Episodes 66-70: Downtime
Tumblr media
In the interstitial time between arcs, the team has a practice game against Date Tech again so the Crows can get used to playing together after being apart. We get some character moments, like all the third years going to a shrine on New Year’s, and when the team arrives in Tokyo we finally get a bit of Kiyoko’s backstory.
It’s hard to pin down what exactly about it worked, but it felt really nice to see the third years all going to a shrine together in their final months before the end of high school.
And with that, the Spring Tournament, a.k.a. Nationals, begins.
Tumblr media
After going through over 70 episodes of Haikyu!!, I can say with absolute certainty I’m sticking around until the end. I skimmed over a lot of details so every section wasn’t a page long (and even then the first draft of this was over 4,000 words), but every game is filled with strategy, mind games, and experimentation.
Outside of the games, the show does a great job of building up the cast so the rivals are well-realized characters in their own right. Not the most complex in anime, but more than a wall for the main characters to climb over.
All in all, the show is absolutely worth the watch. It'll take a while to get through, but it's also easy to pick back up if you need to stop partway through.
What are some of your favorite moments in Haikyu!!? Are you watching the second half of the newest season with me? Who is best boy? Let me know in the comments!
Kevin Matyi is a freelance features writer for Crunchyroll. He's been watching anime for as long as he can remember, and his favorite shows tend to be shonen and other action series.
Do you love writing? Do you love anime? If you have an idea for a features story, pitch it to Crunchyroll Features!

I started this blog with the intent that i would post daily about my last 100 days as a Fiance...
well...
hows that going you ask?, well seeing as how this is my first post, and we are 87 days from the #cheerstotheChotias, il leave that to you to figure out.
Truth is i have watched YT video after YT video and followed almost every wedding page their is out there (a little exaggeration never hurt no body), but truth talk.
I haven’t yet found a page that has sparked that Bride feeling inside of me,
.. also because i wasn't the girl that spent her childhood playing with countless barbies ( i had one), i was outside playing with birds and the dogs or running in the street with friends, trying to roller skate out the house on clean maroon shinned floors or watching power rangers, (i was a HUGGGE fan, and yes i was the pink ranger), also, what i wasn’t doing was spending hours with my black barbie and white ken dreaming of wedding days, but when i did play with them it was dress up and seeing if ken could withstand the amount of dirt, water and dog bits that came with playing outside, but you could sometimes catch me dismantling things, and my video game at the time knew all about my destruction to see just how it was possible that super mario could run and jump across my tv. side note: i never found out, because once i took it apart i was shocked that something so simple had so many parts top piece back, so it would end up in a giant kist with everything else that reached it play by date.
i did however treasure two things and that was my doll Chucky (no he didn’t have the crazy face from the movie), he had the biggest smile with a wink and rag doll hair but i wasn’t allowed to take him outside, and the other thing that kept my most precious Tinkerbell “cosmetics” was a brown little suit case, which i dragged everywhere outside the house. So as you can read I just wasn’t about that “little girl, Princess, weddings vibe)
Soooo now that ive given you that little “Hello my name is...” heres something i thought id share, and yes i could put this in my journal but to put pen to paper has been hard lately, as well as opening this page, so i thought what the heck, id go for the one where i can just type to my hearts content and also put some of me out there. (Scary to let people into what you think), but as tears are a healing to the soul, writing is my outlet.
Thing is as with most things in life, nothing just starts on hip hip hooray, as that of a new born being birthed to this world, there is unexplained joy, but so many tears, some good, others bad and some just for not knowing, and yes I've cried my share of tears and in moments i didn't think would be a tear-fest. (and yes, i am a proper softy, so tears are just there waiting to roll).
Recently I stopped mid way watching a Jamie Wolfer vlog on all things wedding of course and something hit me, as much as there are countless books and advice on weddings and marriage there just wasn't a page where i could go an immerse myself in the truth and struggle about a couples life, and yes i get many are trying but we live in an online edited world and as much as people say they posting about their lives, we are only ever given the parts that were good enough to see.
So having discovered that what i was looking for didn't really exist to the extent i wanted, i decided i would blog about my own, and in hopes that it wouldn't just be another blog about someone in the process of getting married, and how i had to go about picking colours and flowers and center pieces, but that this blog would give someone a good truth read about 2 humans that are about to share a title but more so a life that no one has received the “dummies guide” too.
...
the next few paragraphs might offend you, read at your own risk.
...
at 87 days away from saying I Do, one would think that everything is rosy, but what i have come to learn is that nothing is as it seems and getting to do the picking and thinking of wedding things somehow seem to be the best thing because I’d pick that over having to deal with people and thier opinions, even on things that do not concern them, and at other times when you high key just don’t want advice. please don’t get me wrong, i really appreciate help on things that i know nothing about, but stop throwing your intelligence and “ I've lived longer” help on me and then smile like you helped a generation overcome some mental illness.
This process has however taught me to “believe people when they first show you who they really are”, it may be hard to see but it is or was there in your first encounter, so much so that i found myself saying endless times in everything “ if people would just be honest from the jump, things would be so easy”, we as humans take things and complicate the hell out of it, and then we sit there and stress about what next. i am also guilty of this behavior...
but,
of all the pinterest pictures, boards created, dress ideas, shoe height, napkin colour, angle of the chairs, how many to invite and what you would look like on the day, there enters moments that you were never ready for. There is a movie that put the next words so nicely in English, “our Marriage, their wedding”, i never understood the true meaning of those words, until now, yet, no vlog or book can prepare you for the true test.
one of mine that brought me to tears was finding out what is being said about you when you think you have handled a situation to the best of Your ability, only to find out...you dead wrong and that whats to follow is not only in how you react but what happens once you have reacted and the next morning rolls in and you have to find the courage to deal with it, and you sit there and try to be a good human but every ounce of you wants to unleash all the anger you feel, but then you have a little light bulb moment, and wipe your tears, blow your nose, put your hair back in the messy bun it was, and you realize that there is such a thing as the wheel turning, and that one day instead of being the statue, you get a chance to be the bird...
but my problem is:, i was taught to love and respect, and with that comes the part where you grow up and realize that not everyone shares your values, and that is okay because how else would people like me learn or build character if it wasn't for “life lessons”.
so this human makes her already anxiety filled life even more filled by always considering the feelings of others, because i make it a conscious decision to always respect and appreciate people.
but, life,
Because, another thing you don’t get from a “dummies guide” is how to deal with truths, hard truths, real truths, the ones couple don’t post about, the ones that are spoken between the walls and with people who have shared in the experience and are able to give a few helping words.
The one were i learnt, its possible for another human to express their heart so brutality and not consider the feelings of another individual. Cause no counseling session or family meeting will ever teach you how to appropriately deal with such a matter.
Yes sometimes its better to not know the truth cause then you live in your bubble and think that you have done everyone good, but with that said i am not naive cause i know you cant please everyone all the time, even if you try.
In saying so, i have found to have this cry my eyes out moment and then i get distant, sounds harsh but it gives me a chance to see things from all angles and i don’t exclude putting myself in the judgement chair, (cause yes anxiety will make you go to places that were never necessary, but you do anyway) so that if its me i will deal accordingly. (it may not be immediately but i really try)
And so every morning i get up and try to be better then i was cause i was never no exception to any rule, and because i want to be the person that i hope to encounter in my journey, and i really just want to be a better “help meet”, but, you get tested daily and the ones you fail you hope to see another day to correct.
so, may i learn and be open to lessons, and i hope to become the best wife my Husband to be will need.

Chapter one: Fratricide
(this is the first chapter of a Harry Potter Fanfiction)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The minister of magic sat at a desk on the opposite side of the room from Demelza, staring off into the distance.
"The trial of Mrs. Demelza Murray is about to begin, so I must ask that you all take your seat,” the patter of feet echoed through the clean black and white chamber. No other sounds could be heard and all colours seemed muted except for a dot of pink in the middle of a sea of black robes and tired faces.
"Are you ready to begin Mrs. Murray?"
"Yes, I think I am Minister Fudge," he removed his green bowler hat and placed it on the desk in front of him. "Does the court have your permission to use veritaserum truth serum?"
She said nothing, but instead nodded and looked around the room for the potion. She held her mouth open and waited as the three drops were placed on her tongue.
"A test, just to see if it has worked," he took the hat off his desk and held it out at arm's length.
"What do you think of my hat?" he began putting it back on his head but was only halfway through when he stated loud and clear.
"It's ugly and it makes your head look far too big," she knew what she had said and had no regrets in regards to how it made him feel.
Though it was clear he didn't take it well as he could be seen removing it slowly hoping no one noticed it, everyone did. He cleared his throat, though the actual reason he did it was unclear. He played it off as he got everyone's attention.
"Now the big question: did you or did you not kill your sister?" the eyes surrounding her felt like tiny daggers cutting into her. She felt a lump developing in her throat, but she eventually replied "yes", then utter silence and a struggle to fight back tears.
"Why did you kill her?"
She could only say, "I didn't mean to?"
"For the sake of the court could you tell us how she died?"
"We went to a cave," she told them.
This cave was in the middle of nowhere when the two sisters entered it. Only they and one other knew of its existence, but they both entered - one more confident that the other.
"Hurry up, Grace. You're such a Hufflepuff."
"What's wrong with being a Hufflepuff?" her black and yellow scarf was illuminated by the light at the end of both their wands.
"I'm kidding. There's nothing wrong with it."
The cave went deeper but as they moved forward the light at the end, cast by Lumos, began to turn red then finally vanish. The two sisters were overwhelmed by an endless sense of cold.
"We should turn back," Grace said, too timid to command even a dog.
"No the heart is here. We just have to find it then everything will be fine."
Parts of the cave wall crumbled away rolling to the floor around them.
"This way." she said, pointing to a hole the shifting rocks made about half their size.
"It is at times like this I regret never becoming an animagus," she said, trying to distract from the pain and the wet feeling on both their hands and knees.
"What do you think your form would be?"
They thought about it as they passed through the cave, but both eventually answered what the other experienced with their Patronus. As they crawled through the cave, for what felt like days but was actually about three hours, they found themselves in a large chamber of dark stone decorated from floor to ceiling with cross patterns all leading to an altar that appeared empty.
"It has to be there," she pointed to the altar and looked around the room.
From the corner of Demelza's eye, she could see a light in a small pit in the ground.
"Grace, could you check that out?" More of a demand than a request, really. The top of the altar had a line running down that middle that looked like it would open as it did but slowly. When the alter did open, there was nothing but a note resting at the bottom which said: "You come seeking power but you leave empty handed - G. M."
Demelza ran towards the pit her sister was in, "We have to go. I have a bad feeling about this."
"I can't," Grace told her sister.
Grace tried pulling her hands away from the orb but they were being held there by some sort of electricity. Demelza dropped down into the pit and tried to separate them but to no avail, the cave began to collapse. Rocks fell from the ceiling, narrowly missing the pair.
"You have to go," Grace told her sister.
"I won't leave you here."
"If you do go, we will both die and all of this would have been for nothing,” silently the pair looked into each other's eyes. "Just promise me one thing?"
"Anything," Demelza responded.
"Find the heart. Because if you don't I would have died for nothing."
"A fascinating story but I fail to see how it was you who killed your sister," Fudge said.
"If it wasn't for my obsession with the heart no one would have died," the court, at that moment, filled with a barrage of unrecognisable noise from the people on the stands.
"Quiet!” the minister yelled slamming the gavel on his desk, " I cannot sentence you for the death of your sister because you did nothing to directly to harm her. However, you won't be leaving for your continued attempts to harness the power of the dark arts. All in favour of punishment?" everyone around the courtroom put their hand up.
"Didn't you hear what I said? I need to find the heart. If I don't, her death would have been for nothing," she pleaded.
"You should have thought of that before you started meddling with the dark arts. It never ends well," he turned to one of the guards at the back of the room.
"Take her away," his wand followed her out the door and into an almost deserted corridor.
"I'm sorry I have to do this," she told the guard.
Before he could react, she reached behind her and grabbed his wand, not with the intention of harming him, but disarming and snapping his wand in half and running. The wand cracked, louder then she had expected, and she punched him in the face followed by her grabbing her hand yelling, "Muggle films make it look so easy," before sprinting down the hall to a large main hub with over a hundred different fireplaces with a bowl of ash next to each of them. She grabbed a handful of flue powder and stood in the fire threw it to the ground, green flames erupted around her.
"Diagon Alley!" she yelled before the world around her gave way to darkness and she woke up in the Leaky Cauldron.
She left the Leaky Cauldron before anyone could see her face, ducking in and out of a large crowd of people until not even she knew which shop she was about to enter until she was face to face with Ollivander and a boy around the age of eleven who stood in the corner trying to cover his blue eyes with his black hair. He had just been given his first Wand and was playing with it until she had entered.
"Mrs. Murray? I didn't expect to see you here," Olivander exclaimed as he looked up from the counter. She began looking behind him at all the wands stacked on the many shelves.
"Maybe you should practice your divination," she began brushing the Ash from her black dress and out of her hair at the same time she gave some explanation as to what happened to her wand by saying,
"I need a new wand. I lost mine in a duel."
"that wasn't very smart. Did they disarm you?" he asked as he walked to the back of his shop and took one from the shelf.
"I would prefer not to talk about it."
His grip on the Wand seems loose, at though he was going to drob it , but he didn't.
He placed it on the counter and said, "Try this one. It should work,” on the case that he placed next to it was a label that said "blackthorn wood dragon heartstring core 9 inches" before she even cast her first spell with her new with, she felt a connection.
"How odd, how very odd indeed," he said stroking his chin, a smile on his face.
"What's odd?" she asked looking at the wand top to bottom.
"When you first got your wand, when you were eleven, the wood was Ash Wood" he explained, taking the wand from her and balancing it on his index finger. “But now it's Blackthorn. It appears something within you has changed and by the looks of it very recently."
He gave her the Wand back and told her the cost, seven galleons, which she paid with the cash she had planned to buy drinks with. The boy was about to leave the shop, having got what he came in for but as he touched the handle he stopped.
"Do you know where the book shop is?" he asked both the adults in the room.
To which Ollivander responded by asking, "Aren't you here with your parents? Surely they know where it is?"
“My dad is a muggle and my mom is busy at work trying to avoid being fired," the boy responded.
"You must be Andrew. Shame about what happened to your mother," he told the boy who was apparently called Andrew. Ollivander looked away from Andrew and towards Demelza. "Would you be willing to take him there? It's a big day for wand selling and I don't know what will happen if I leave."
"Sure," she said. "I'm going there myself anyway. I need to buy a book about magical history."
They both left the shop together, Andrew following a few steps behind both hands deep in his pockets - as if looking for something that wasn't there.
“Nervous? I was, too, "she said, trying to sound like as much of an authority figure as possible. "But you'll get used to it. By the time your third-year rolls ‘round, it will be easy sailing from then on. But no matter what happens you'll probably do better than your mom."
The pair stopped outside of Flourish and Blotts, a shop, that from the outside, looked as though it was leaning at a slight angle.
“You knew my mom?" he asked, waiting outside of the shop for an answer.
"Yes I did," Demelza responded. "She was friends with my sister, Grace. Both of them were in Hufflepuff.”
The shop was similar to Ollivander's in design. A desk at the front with rows and rows of shelves behind them. However, Ollivander’s had wands and Borgin and Burks had books. Books about every topic in the wizarding world, from animagus to zoology.
Andrew looked at the letter and saw that the list told him all the books he would need. Demelza went straight to the back to find the initials G.M in any books related to the dark arts or the defence. Thereof, she found five names: Gregory Marling, Grant march, Gwen Mich, Georgia Mort, and George Moore all five names came from the same books 'Unattainable Goal' by author Greg Miller.
She looked at the counter and saw that Andrew had already found all nine books he would need and was paying for them, though he struggled to carry them. She walked over, grabbed them herself, and looked placed them in the bag.
"Thank you," he told her, taking the bag off her and pulling it along the floor as if it was on wheels. She paid for the book and walked out of the shop, carrying it under her arm.
"Did you find what you were looking for?" Andrew asked standing next to the door holding his copy of ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’.
"Unfortunately I didn't. I fear that the only place that has the answers I need is the restricted section of the Hogwarts library.” she sighs, defeated.
"What were you trying to find?" Andrew asked.
"My sister and I were exploring a cave last week when we found this note,"
she showed him the note which she found in the cave and had kept safe in her sleeve.
"Do you know who this "G.M." is?" he asked handing the note back to her.
"No," she responded. "That's why I got this book."
"Maybe I could help," he told her. "I’ve been told I'm very good at solving puzzles."
She paused, as if weighing her options.
"If you want, but I will not be responsible if anything goes wrong. Agreed?" she held her hand out and Andrew shook it excitedly as he responded:
"Will we be communicating using owls?"
"Yes,” she responded stepping back. "Tell your mom Grace misses her."
"I will, bye," he said as she ran towards the wall that separated the alley from the Leaky Cauldron.

(Gary anon) That said, it's arguably easier to come back to those types of games than something you can finish within hours or days, like an RPG or platformer. (At least some animation studios are getting that message. Realism is cool in the short-term, but anything that started off stylized, you can see right away why making it realistic feels unsettling or personality is lost. Especially with this "Realism = Serious" mentality. It's very heartbreaking when animators can tell how an audience)
.
(Part 2) (is going to react negatively because they had those same feelings working ON the project itself; but their employers are blind to it for some reason) Makes you wonder what happens when that journey for Chloe is finished. Still waiting to see if this leads to seeing a Gigantamax Eevee. (Just like how TRio turning serious in BW didn't last pass it; it wasn't there for that whole series either. Morpeko is disliked; at least its Hangry Form, because the group more misery
(Part 3) (than being helpful or entertaining. Most prefer that Pelipper who delivers the Gatcha) Anything that doesn't have a physical/tangible alternate and security is bound to get loss eventually. (And it's basically a law-less war-zone right now, but that's all I'll say on that. We can only ride this out) Still have yet see an Arcanine in Journeys and he's still the most prolific owner of one, so it's possible. (The Arceus special makes me doubtful on that now, but I'll be happy)
(Part 4) (if does end up with Hisuian Arcanine. Just anything new.) Those piercing red eyes and giant size and charging at you with quick speeds certainly don't help. xD But it'll be so satisfying to catch them. (Thanks!)
Yeah, that's a great thing about Minecraft (and similar games, though Minecraft is the main sandbox-ish game I'm really familiar with unless Animal Crossing counts). No matter how long you've been away from it, it's always so easy to come back to.
Yeah! There's been some really great animation in recent years that takes a stylized approach instead of going for realism. Movies like Into the Spiderverse and The Mitchells vs the Machines are such great examples of stylized CGI and were very well received for good reason. (And it's always a delight when an animated movie that isn't CGI comes out. A while back I watched this new stop-motion horror anthology The House and it was such a good use of the medium, it really added to the surreal vibe and made it unsettling and haunting to a degree I seriously doubt it would've been otherwise.)
Exactly! Sure, it's impressive that CGI has advanced to a point of being able to look photorealistic, but like. If realism comes at the expense of all the personality and soul what's the point? I need Disney to understand that the only animated movie of theirs I want a live action/realistic CGI remake of is Lilo and Stitch, and that's solely to see how they make Stitch look both like plausibly a dog and distinctly alien.
I cannot imagine how depressing it would be to work countless exhausting hours on a project knowing there will be whole articles about how bad it is when it's completed. Christ.
ANyway!
Yeah, I'm really interested to see how things go for Chloe! It's hard to say how it'll end for her when she's still searching for the path to take. (And we will definitely see Eevee gigantamax at some point, I know it.)
Yep, the TRio are our goofy ineffectual sympathetic villains who charm us with their bonds with each other and their Pokemon. It's why the seriousness in BW didn't last, and why I don't doubt the current Issues won't follow into whatever comes after Journeys.
It's wild how usually Pikaclones are promoted in the anime in ways that make them more endearing, but Morpeko was pretty well liked for its cute design, interesting ability and concept, and being Marnie's partner before the anime made everyone who cares about the TRio hate it. A big grievance I've seen against Journeys' treatment of the TRio is just compared to how in the previous series, they had Bewear feeding and sheltering and looking after them, and now they're just. Constantly starving because of this one Morpeko and the situation just feels excessively cruel.
Yeah, Pelipper's fine. It's just a Pelipper doing its job, I haven't seen anyone with grievances against it.
The whole cr*pto thing is just... too much of a mess to even try to unpack, for the sake of my sanity. Just have to wait until it eventually dies out.
Very true! He sure is a notable Arcanine trainer, and we haven't seen his Arcanine since like... Johto I'm pretty sure. I want to see the puppy.
Fair, I guess we'll see one way or another. If he has anything of note, any indication of how he's been progressing as a researcher, I'll probably be happy enough. (I'm already just glad he seems so happy and secure compared to the frustration and self-doubt he went through in his early days as a researcher. It's what he deserves.)
Yeah, they're terrifying and I love it. This game gets so intense and it's so fun.

Duke Reviews: Ant-Man
Hello, I'm Andrew Leduc And Welcome To Duke Reviews Where We Are Continuing Our Look At The Marvel Cinematic Universe....
youtube
Where Today We End Our Look At Phase 2 By Talking About The First Outing For The Pint Sized Avenger, Ant-Man...
This Film Is About A Recently Released Prisoner Named Scott Lang (Played By Paul Rudd) Who Gets Recruited By A Man Named Hank Pym (Played By Michael Douglas) To Become The New Ant-Man And Help Him Steal A Simiar Suit To That Of Ant-Man That His Protege, Darren Cross (Played By Corey Stoll) Is Making With The Money In His Company, Can Scott Steal The Suit For Hank Before Cross Releases It To The Public?
Let's Find Out As We Watch Ant-Man...
The Film Starts In The Year I Was Born, 1989 As A Young Hank Pym Marches Into The Offices Of The Heads Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Which Includes Peggy Carter (Played By Haley Atwell) Howard Stark (Played By The Guy That Played Him In Iron Man 2, I Don't Know His Name) And Mitchell Carson (Played By Martin Donovan) At The Under Construction Triskellion To Talk With Them About Their Attempt To Replicate His Work Without His Permission...
Despite Peggy Not Knowing Anything About This, Howard And Mitchell Believe That The Pym Particle Is Revolutionary Find And It Belongs To The World And Not Just One Man, This Leads Hank To Resign His Position At S.H.I.E.L.D. And Swear That As Long As He's Alive Nobody Will Get His Pym Particle Formula...
Wow, This Film Could Have Just As Easily Become Ant-Man: The Winter Solider With Howard Stark Just Saying That Line...
But Instead We Cut To Present Day As Scott Lang Gets Out Of Prison And Is Picked Up By His Friend And Partner, Luis (Played By Michael "I'm The Best Part Of This Damn Movie" Pena)
However, Just Because He's Good In These Movies Does Not Mean He Can Replace Ricardo Montellban As Mr. Rourke In Fantasy Island, Blumhouse!
youtube
Aside From My Bitterness Over That Movie, Luis Picks Up Scott And Immediately Tells Him About Some People He Met But Not Interested In Doing Another Heist As He's Going Straight For His Daughter, Despite Jobs Not Coming Easy For Ex-Cons...
But Knowing He Has A Masters In Electrical Engineering, He's Like How Hard Could It Be? Turns Out Pretty Hard As The Job He Can Get Is Working At Baskin-Robbins....
Tumblr media
Yeah, But It's About To Suck More When The Corporate Heads Of B&R Discover Scott's Criminal Record And Fire Him, Despite His Manager Liking What He Did To Get Thrown In Jail...
Returning To Luis' Apartment, Scott Meets Luis' Friends Kurt And Dave, Who Like What Scott Did As Luis Tells Us That Scott Used To Work For A Company Called Vista That Were Overcharging Their Customers For Millions And He Tried To Tell The Heads Of Vista About This But He Got Fired Instead. So, Scott Hacked Into Their Security System Transferred Back The Funds To The People They Stole It From...
Tumblr media
But Not Happy That Luis Is Telling His Life Story To These 2 Guys, Scott Asks What He Wants Which Leads Luis To Tell Him About A Job His Cousin Told Him About But Still Saying He's Out, Luis Drops It...
Meanwhile At Pym Technologies, Hank Pym Arrives To Meet With His Daughter, Hope Van Dyne (Played By Kate From Lost) And His Protege, Darren Cross, Who Makes A Big Announcement That Pym Technologies Is Working A Battlesuit Called The Yellowjacket That Is An All-Purpose Weapon Of War That's Capable Of Altering The Size Of The Wearer For The Ultimate Combat Advantage...
And Despite One Board Member Against It Because Of What Our Enemies Could Do With It, Everyone Seems On Board. Talking With Cross Afterwards, Pym Begs Him Not To Do It Because There's A Reason He Buried These Secrets, But Looking To The Future Of The Company But Not Cross Exits As He Talks With Mitchell Carson About Selling It To Him First...
Going To His Daughter's Birthday Party, Scott Gets An Uncomfortable Welcome From His Ex-Wife (Played By Judy "I'm A Bitch In Everything I'm In" Greer) And Her New Husband (Played By Bobby Cannavale) Who Tell Him To Leave Until He Gets A Job And Can Pay Child Support...
Now, No Offense I Know What Scott Did Was Illegal But In My Opinion What He Did Wasn't Bad Whatsoever, He Stopped A Company That Was Stealing Millions Of Dollars From Alot Of People, Hell, Even The Manager At Baskin-Robbins Called Him A Freaking Hero For What He Did And She Should Know That What He Did Helped Alot Of People...
But No, Instead She's Condemning Him For It And Him A Damn Criminal And For That I Say Screw You, Scott Has Every Right To See His Kid...
Meanwhile At Pym Technologies, Cross Kills The One Board Member That Went Against The Yellowjacket By Using A Gun That Turns Him Into A Miniscule Pile Of Goo...
(Sighs) Yes, Folks This Actually Happens We Have A Gun That Can Turn People Into A Pile Of Goo, What's Next An Alchemy Machine That Can Turn Dog Shit Into Gold?
And Don't Write In The Comments That That Thing Already Exists In Comic Books, I Already Know It Does It's Just The Point Of How Stupid This Is...
Taking Hope Out To Dinner, Her And Cross Talk About How Hank Pym Is A Failure As Both A Father And A Mentor, Before We Cut Back To Scott, Who Decides To Do Luis' Job After Realizing Nothing He Does Will Ever Work Out...
So, Luis Tells Him...
youtube
(Start At 0:41, End At 1:54)
So, Getting The Necessary Supplies And Coming With A Plan, They Go To The House, Dealing With The Phones Around The Area And The Alarms In The House They're Breaking Into. But When Scott Reaches The Safe, He Has A Hard Time Breaking Into It...
But With A Little Water And Nitrogen, The Safe Blows Open...
Tumblr media
You Bet Your Ass It Rules, Bill Nye...
Going Inside, Scott Finds No Money But He Does Find What He Believes To Be A Motorcycle Suit But Is Really The Ant-Man Suit...
Grabbing The Suit And Getting Out Of What We Realize Is Now Hank Pym's House, They Consider The Heist A Failure And Move On. The Next Morning, Scott Looks At The Suit And The Helmet And Decides To Try It On...
Noticing Buttons On His Hands, Scott Shrinks For The First Time...
youtube
(Start At 1:15, End At 3:41)
Freaked Out By What Happened, Scott Returns The Suit To Pym's House Only To Be Arrested By Police, However, While In Jail, He's Visited By Hank Pym Who Says That He's His Lawyer...
Apologizing For Stealing The Suit, Hank Tells Him That He Was The One That Caused Everyone To Give Luis That Tip And That He Has 2 Choices Go To Jail For The Rest Of His Life, Or Wait In His Cell For Further Instructions...
So, Going Back To His Cell, He Waits Until Something Happens Which It Eventually Does When 2 Ants Bring In A Shrunken Ant-Man Suit Only To Make It Large So Scott Can Wear It...
youtube
(Start At 0:28, End At 2:41)
Getting Lightheaded, Scott Passes Out...
Waking Up The Next Morning In A Fresh Set Of Clothes, Scott Awakens To See Hope With A Bunch Of Tropical Bullet Ants On The Floor...
Is How A Normal Person Would Probably React...
Saying That Her Father Wants To Talk With Him Downstairs, Scott (When He Stops Being Afraid Of The Ants) Goes Downstairs To Meet With Both Hank And Hope, Who Reveals That She Had Scott Arrested By The Police...
Tumblr media
Admitting That He's An Admirer Of Scott's And Really Liking What He Did With Vista Corp And His Vault, Hank Offers Scott A Job To Break Into Pym Technologies, Steal The Yellowjacket And Destroy All The Data After Telling Him About The Pym Particle And Darren Cross And Why It's Important To Stop Him...
Knowing That He's Good But Not That Good, Scott Suggests That They Use Ants Or Call The Avengers To Deal With It But Unfortunately, The Ants Aren't Much Without A Leader And He Doesn't Want The Avengers Involved Because Of Tony Stark And What His Father Did At S.H.I.E.L.D. To Hank Years Ago...
Dropping In On Her Father And Scott, She Tells Them That They Now Have Days As Cross Has Perfected His Formula So Hope Decides That She's Doing It As She Knows The Place Better Than Anybody And She Knows How Cross Thinks But Hank Is Absolutely Against Hope Doing This...
With Scott Asking Why He Doesn't Do This, It's Not Because He's Too Old For This Crap But Because Wearing It Has Taken It's Toll On Him, Thus Scott Is The Only Option Saying That This Is His Chance To Be The Hero His Daughter Thinks He Is...
And So, The Training Begins...
youtube
(End At 4:08)
Continuing His Lessons By Introducing Him To The Fire Ants Which He Uses To Get In And Out Of Places And Making Specialized Discs That Make Things Large And Small, Scott Faces One Problem And That's Controlling The Ants...
Running Out Of Patience In Scott's Training, Hope Decides To Leave Only For Scott To Follow Her To Her Car Where She Tells Him That She Only Became Apart Of This For A Chance At Making Peace With Dear Old Dad But She Still Thinks That He Doesn't Trust Her..
youtube
(Start At 2:06, End At 2:27)
However, Scott Manages To Convince Hope That Her Father Does Trust Her And The Reason He's Wearing The Suit And Not Her Is Because He's Expendable And Hank Would Rather Lose The Battle With Cross Than Lose Her...
Apologizing For Calling The Police On Him And Asking About His Daughter, Hope Suggests To Focus On Cassie And How Much He Wants To See Her And It Works...
So, Scott Can Now Control The Ants...
Going Back Inside, Hank Finally Opens Up To Both Hope And Scott Telling Them About How His Wife, Janet Who Was His Partner And Hope's Mom Really Died Saying That In 1987 Some Separatists Had Hijacked A Soviet Missile Silo And Launched An ICBM At The United States And The Only Way Into The Internal Mechanics Was Through Solid Titanium...
Damaging His Regulator When Attempting To Shrink Between The Molecules To Disarm The Missile, Janet Sacrificed Herself By Going Subatomic To Disarm The Missile And Save Billions Of Lives...
Tumblr media
Saying That He Didn't Tell Her Because He Trying To Protect Her Saying That He Lost Hope's Mom But He Didn't Mean To Lose Her And So With All Forgiven With The Father-Daughter Duo, Training Resumes...
About Getting Everything Down Pat From Jumping Through Keyholes To Working With Ants, The Final Phase Of Scott's Training Commences When Hank And Hope Have Scott Steal A Prototype Signal Decoy To Counteract The Transmission Blockers In Pym Technologies From One Of Howard Stark's Old Storage Facilities Which Just So Happens To Now Be The Avengers Training Ground...
Telling Scott To Abort The Mission, He Tells Them That He Doesn't See Anyone Superpowered On The Ground So Scott Decides To Land On The Roof Only To Run Into The Falcon (Played Again By Anthony Mackie)...
youtube
(Start At 0:57, End At 3:31)
Believing That Scott Almost Jeopardized Everything, All Is Forgiven When Scott Gives Hank And Hope The Tech They Want, But Going Out To The Living Room, Hank Finds Darren Cross Waiting To Tell Him That Pym Tech Is About To Become One Of The Most Profitable Operations In The World Because Of The Yellowjacket Suit And He Wants Hank There To See His Moment Of Glory...
As Cross Leaves He Asks Hank What He Saw In Him All Those Years Ago And Why Did He Push Him Away, Hank Says He Saw Himself In Cross, A Little Too Much Of Himself Unfortunately...
Believing That Cross Is Baiting Hank, Hope Suggests Calling It Off But Knowing That There Would Be Risks, Hank Refuses. Getting A Phone Call From Cross Shortly After That, He Tells Hope To Get The Assembly Line Up And Running And States That He's Tripling Security With Full Sensors At All Entrances And Adding Air Vents With Steel Micro-Mesh...
Wondering How They're Going To Get Scott In Now, Scott Suggests Using The Water Vent If They Can Decrease It, But Knowing That Her And Hank Will Be By Cross, Scott Decides To Bring In His Own Team On The Mission, By Making Luis A Security Guard That Will Lower The Water Pressure So Scott Will Be Able To Get In, Having Kurt Hack Into The Power Supply To Kill The Laser Grid And Making Dave The Getaway Guy...
Despite Hank Not Liking This, They're All In As Hope Gets Luis' Credentials In The Pym Tech System. The Next Night, Scott Enters The Sewers Once Luis Is Inside Of Pym Tech. Eventually Lowering The Water Pressure, Scott Manages To Get Into Pym Tech With The Help Of Some Fire Ants To Which He Boards Ant-Thony Afterwards And Takes The Vents...
However When Scott's Ex-Wife's Husband Discovers That Pym Pretended To Be Scott's Lawyer, Him And His Partner Decide To Take Hank Downtown To Question Him, But Before They Can, Dave Steals The Ex-Wife's Husband's Car So Pym Can Enter...
Meanwhile Scott Uses Bullet Ants On A Guard So Luis And Hope Can Enter The Hardware Room To Place The Signal Decoy Inside Of One Of The Server Boxes...
Once Hope Leaves, Scott Moves Into Position To Get The Ants To Fry The Server Boxes So Nothing Can Be Backed Up Before Going To Formula Room To Set Charges To Blow It Up, Only Thing Left Is For Kurt To Shut Down The Security Grid So He Can Grab The Yellowjacket Suit, Which He Manages To Before Him And Dave Are Arrested By Scott's Ex-Wife's Husband...
But As All That Goes Down, Cross Takes Hank And Hope To The Yellowjacket Room Where They Meet With Mitchell Carson Who Is Revealed To Be Working With Hydra Along With Darren...
Tumblr media
So, Yeah, When Scott Falls In...
Tumblr media
Again Begging Cross Not To Sell To Hydra As If They Get The Weapon, They'll Use It To Spread Their Chaos Across The Globe, Cross Doesn't Care Saying That He'll Sell Them The Suit But Not The Formula...
Telling Carson's Men To Kill Hank, Hope Tries To Convince Cross That The Particle Is Messing With His Brain Chemistry And That It's Not Who He Is But Too Far Gone, Darren Decides To Kill Hank Himself But Not Before Scott Breaks Out And Deals With Carson's Men But It Doesn't Stop Cross From Shooting Hank...
With Cross And Carson Trying To Get Away, Scott Follows Them With Cross' Guards Along The Way While Hope And Hank Escape In A Gigantic Tank Keychain...
youtube
(End At 3:33)
Arrested By His Ex Wife's Husband, They Soon Hear Over The Radio Of A Disturbance At The Home Of Scott's Ex-Wife And Daughter...
Yes, It Turns Out Cross Survived Being Zapped By A Bug Zapper And Has Kidnapped Scott's Daughter, Cassie Who Thinks Cross Is A Monster...
Tumblr media
youtube
(End At 4:34)
But Despite Killing Cross, Scott Went Subatomic But Managing To Find One Big Disc, He Places It Into The Regulator And Becomes Big Once Again, Reuniting With His Daughter...
Letting Scott Go As He Saved Cassie, He Returns To Hank's House Where Hank Asks Him To Explain What He Saw In The Subatomic Realm, But Having No Memory Of The Experience Whatsoever Hank Lets Scott Go So He Can Make Out With Hope As They Start Their Relationship...
Invited Over By His Ex-Wife And Her Husband, They Tell Scott That Any Evidence That He Escaped From Jail Was Somehow Erased So Scott's A Free Guy Now...
But Getting A Call From Luis, He Tells Scott That His Cousin Ignacio Told Him That Some Writer He Met At A Bar Where Stan Lee Is The Bartender...
Stan Lee Cameo!
Tumblr media
A Minute There I Thought This Was Going To Be The Only MCU Movie Without A Stan Lee Cameo And (I Know Stan's Dead Now But) I Would Have Loved To See A Show Where Stan Lee Played A Bartender...
Anyway, The Writer Tells Luis' Cousin That Falcon Is Looking For Him, Ending Our Movie...
We Get A Mid-Credits Scene Where Hank Shows Hope An Advanced Prototype Wasp Suit That Both Hank And Janet Worked On Together But Now Hank Realizes That They Weren't Working On It For Janet But For Hope To Someday Follow In Her Mother's Footsteps As The Wasp...
We Get A Preview Of The Next Film, Captain America: Civil War As We See That Cap And Falcon Have Captured Bucky (But None Of That Matters Now As I'm Going To Be Talking About It in The Next Review)
Anyway, That's Ant-Man And It's Okay...
The Story's Interesting And The Characters Are Decently Written However, This Is One Time Where I'll Admit That The Villain Is Okay But Didn't Seem Like A Major Threat Unlike Some Of The Other Films In The MCU But Either Way I Say See It...
Well, With Phase 2 Behind Us Now We Move Onto Phase 3 Next Week With Captain America Civil War, Till Then, This Is Duke, Signing Off...
