#but given how unceremoniously Ultimate!Wisp got dumped for Civil War 2?

On one hand I absolutely love Willow-Wisp because now we get to have a Wisp who’s still got the core concept of being more of an antihero than a villain even though Arvad’s been dragged out of character and into just being a generic C-list supervillain, but on the other hand if this means we get any sort of interaction between the post-Civil War out of character Wisp and this one I will cry.

Pre-Civil War!Will-o’-the-Wisp would’ve been fascinating to throw at this new Willow-Wisp, because he’d already been through his character arc about going from someone who just wanted to get revenge on the people and their corporations that had harmed him, into the sort of guy who’d go against orders and let Sandman beat up his teammates just because he could sense that Sandman also wasn’t really the bad guy (Outlaws) or even choose to just give Dr Harrow a really bad scare rather than really seek revenge for everything Harrow had done to him (Ben Reilly Spider-Man).

But the Post-Civil War!Wisp who was last seen being used as a mook to get stabbed by Deadpool? God that interaction would just be so, so sad.
