Just a silly idea I got after reading this post and a conversation I had with my bro. This is just insta account that most schools have. This is a crack post it's probably occ but trust me this is just for the fun.

Of course since now 2 years the big winner is Silver Vanrouge. It starts to be a competition of who will take the most pictures of him sleeping. You might think Leona also got a lot of pic of him on this account but the only time his sleep picture got posted it got put down and froze the account for over a week.

you decided on wearing one of his jerseys and a pair of jeans, something simple and comfortable. as soon as he made it to you, the first thing he did was look you up and down and then pick up the sleeve of the jersey before chuckling.

the final instance came a few days later when you went to joe’s house just to hang out and have dinner.

flashback to wednesday night

you park your car in joe’s garage and step out, tucking your phone and keys in your pocket before heading up the stairs. before you make it to the door, joe’s already opening it and waiting in the doorway.

“hi bub!” you call, pushing past him and stepping inside, kicking off your shoes by the door. he greets you back sweetly and the two of you go sit on barstools in the kitchen, just catching up on things that have gone on this week. you rant to joe about your job and he listens intently, offering what advice he can.

he rants back to you about things going on with the team, and frustrations he’s having on the field. you try to return the favor and offer him some advice, but you know you aren’t of too much help. joe appreciates it regardless.

To answer your question about Fresh: Fresh is actually a parasite! He dresses in his 90's-themed clothes and speaks in a silly way so that others underestimate him. His main and utmost goal is to Survive, and the way he does that is by infecting other people with his parasites and draining the life from their souls. Being seen as harmless lets him get closer to them and gives him easier access for possession. He hopes to eventually take over the multiverse, spreading his parasites in every corner of it and having absolute control.

He also has no emotions. He is capable of them, but for whatever reason he is unable to feel much, besides the rare instance of anger. He does frequently feel fear, though.

He is a bit sadistic, and he likes seeing others suffer. This is because when he takes over someone he drains their soul of life, which causes them pain. And to him, taking someone's body means safety, it means he can survive a bit longer as long as he's snatched their body. So he's come to associate the pain of others as something good.

And he's also aware of the creators/viewers, thanks to an event called the Loveball, which is canon to his character.

Going to copy and paste my own words for this [I was talking to a friend about Loveball]:

"So, like seven years ago there was a fandom-wide event called the Loveball, where people gathered their OCs and had them all attend an UTMV dancing ball. Fresh went, of course. There, he met a Frisk called Pacifrisk. Even knowing who he really was [90's parasite], they still believed he could be good. Before this, he hadn't ever really felt a connection to anyone, or even positive emotions in general. But Pacifrisk's faith in him made him feel positively towards them. This freaked him out. [No Fr@ns though, don't worry. That wasn't the intention for this plot.]

As a result, not only did he try to kill them, but he also went through with his plans: the Fresh Takeover [I forget what it's actually called]. His true reason for attending the ball. OCs were either possessed by the parasites or tried to fight against them. Apparently, some people used alcohol to ward the virus off, as Fresh hates substances such as that.

Fresh wanted to take over the multiverse, with this Loveball being the first step for his total domination.

But then right in the middle of things, a Sans AU [which I totally forget the name of X,D] grabbed Fresh and basically yeeted him into an alternate state of being. One where he could see the creators, all staring at him. An audience.

The Sans revealed the nature of Fresh's existence: That he was simply a character in a story. And if the creators got bored of him, he could easily be written aside and forgotten. Erased. His conquest didn't matter, in the end.

Predictably, this gave him an existential crisis. I'm not sure what happened after, but he stopped invading and went somewhere to contemplate his existence in a depressed state.

Afterwards, he had a new goal: To entertain. To convince the creators that he was worth keeping around. Similar to his previous goal of survival, but now with more dire stakes."

But yeah, to answer your question: The reason Fresh fought Ink was probably 1: because he saw it as a good way to keep himself alive and 2: So that he could be relevant and interesting to the viewers.

Mercury: MISCOMMUNICATION I swear this person would ask me one thing and I would hear something entirely different. Sometimes I would also be too shy to respond, I did a lot of drugs with these people. Also I got so much information about these people randomly. I’d have dreams that told me things, I’d cry randomly. Strangers told me things about him that I didn’t know, and later revealed his name. I knew so much about these people from other sources randomly. One time we ended and I ended up with a group of his friends I didn’t know we’re his friends and they just kept talking about him and then they said his name and I was like…. Honestly I had such a hard time communicating with these people and I felt like they really wanted me to. I honestly feel like theses people are still kinda waiting on an explication from me. It’s just so hard. I kept getting in my head thinking they couldn’t possibly know and yet they made every effort to help me feel comfortable sharing but I didn’t know how. And with these people there’s always something getting in the way. Like no service, or his parents would come in the room and take away his phone. I blocked these people a lot.

Mars:… yeah it’s true. This guy was my first I thought we were soulmates I was confused lol. I also talk hella shit about these people (some of them) because they did me so dirty. There’s so much build up over time here. Like did they understand me. Will they ever get how I feel.

Venus: oh man I thought I was obsessed but I think it was him (he had natal mars not really conjunct though) and we were in a weird polyamory situation. I was like so obsessed with him. I don't know how to play piano.' And he's like, 'Eh, you'll figure it out.'" And then Patrick sat down and played gorgeous piano ugh THANKS, PETE.

The show ends with a little piano version of So Much (for) Stardust played over the sound system, so pay attention for that.

The set is super Alice in Wonderland-y and I adored it, it's playful and fantastical and has all these whimsical touches and interludes and I just thought it was delightful and at one point there were bubbles, and I heard some people complaining after the concert that the fantasy thing didn't suit their style of music and really, I was surrounded by downers after the concert, I thought they were perfect hahaha. Like, ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. They looked so, so, so tangibly happy, all of them. Patrick sounded fantastic and he looked like he was having a blast, he smiled the whole time.

no because ive watched this stupid show 5 years ago, and i only noticed this now?? how???

ok. some context first. this is about fox' gotham, a prequel series to batman. or at least a potential one with slight changes. one of those changes is the relationship between oswald cobblepot and edward nygma (spelled with a 'y' for mayhap legal reasons? idfk its silly). whats their relationship like in the show? well...

theyre gay af. idk what to tell you.

okay so oswalds gay as fuck. edwards... ambiguous. totally ambiguous. he had a girlfriend or 2 and a half (kristen kringle, the-woman-who-shall-not-be-named (aka kristen but... blonde? this show is weird), and lee. not comfy counting lee, but technically shes one, hence the 'and a half')! very straight, much hetero (on another side note how tf is oswald the gay one, like i know he wears make-up and shit but eddies all about theatrics and showmanship and flair and hOW IS OSWALD THE GAY ONE NEXT TO HIM?? ok anyway).

so oswald was (is. be real.) canonically in love with ed, ed was.........., and 'penguin in love' is a piece of music composed by david russo for season three in which the whole "im in love with my best friend" thing took place.

that song has been used all over season three, as far as i can tell not once in season four, and once in season five.

.....or so i thought.

because yesterday, while in another obsession phase (of which i get one a few times a year. ive only ever watched the show once, in 2019, when it ended. still dream about nygmobblepot though. i dont dream about media, like ever, but with them, its different), i saw 5x8 to satiate my never satisfied craving of nygmob scenes, obviously skipping the main story bc i dont care about that straight shit. i got to the scene where oswald kills mr. scarface and frees arthur penn from said mr. scarface, after which ed shoots him in the head because thats what one does in such a situation, thought "aw how cute", again, as one does, and then realised.

what was that background music just now? rewinds.... oh. oh haha, its 'penguin in love'. how fun.

WHAT.

WHY IS THAT IN THERE. WHY DID THEY INCLUDE IT.

correction. it wouldve made sense to have it here. they used it in 5x5 for the speech about not backstabbing each other (wedding vows for murderers fr fr), so using it again after their relationship has solidified wouldve made sense.

note how im saying 'would have'.

because it would have made sense, if they used it when ed said "i accept you for the person that you are, just as you accept me for the cold logician that i am. thats why this friendship is great." they didnt, though. they used another equally heartfelt song for that. dunno what its called, it sounds a bit like 'penguin in love' but isnt, not sure if that one has a specific meaning like 'penguin in love' does.

so when was the song used? at 36:08 – 36:17. barely ten seconds, right before eds lines, right before ed kills penn.

...right when penn was sitting in oswalds lap because theyd been fighting for the gun and os fell on the ground.

now. the most obvious answer to "why in the fucking hell" would be because ooh this dudes on his lap so sexy, but no. no. 'penguin in love' is about one specific thing: love. the pure kind. the kind that makes you giddy with butterflies in your stomach, kicking your legs, while youre on your bed, writing in your diary about this guy you have a crush on. and oswald and penn do have history, oswald was more or less fond of penn, but not in love (i mean where would he have found the room in his heart if it was already filled with EDWARD EDWARD EDWARD martin my sweet boy EDWARD EDWARD EDWA-). im also definitely not thinking that penn was so happy about being free from mr. scarfaces influence and not having to kill oswald (oh yeah, the horror. who would wanna kill oswald, the guy with the big ego, who never does anything for anyone without some kind of endgoal- well, unless your name is edward of course) that he instantly fell in love with the guy. i can deal with the homicidal kind of crazy, but that? no. thats where i draw the line.

the next most obvious answer is that it was about oswalds love for ed. more believable, since its what the song was made for, but more believable doesnt mean believable. or likely. because even if i 100% believe that hes been loving this dude for so long its not something he has to think about anymore for it to be true, im pretty sure that itd be very random to suddenly focus on that when oswald was just about to die. so no, even if its what the song is intrinsically about.

so next most obvious answer is- wait. thats it. huh? theres no obvious answer anymore? everything else is brainrot? oh. oh well. its been five years, im sure its too late to worry about it now. what the hell.

im sure you know where im going with this. or maybe not. honestly idk what the fuck im talking about-

youre smart. you know what im about to say. if it wasnt about what oswald was feeling because he was otherwise preoccupied, and it wasnt about penn because that makes no fucking sense, then who was this song used for? who else was in the room?

this is a huge oversimplification, but you get the point. its there. or at least it has to be there because why else do you get so angy that someone is sitting in the lap of your just friend because they were fighting and they ended up in that position totally accidentally? like thats not normal behaviour, for anyone, unless you have possessive tendencies.

i mean its not like penn was a threat in any way. "he wasnt the threat, the dummy was the-" like i understand ed told penn about the submarine which was supposed to be a secret, but come on, like they couldnt make sure penn wouldnt say anything. so why would ed shoot him? its not even like penn was a random dude where that type of thing would be very inconsequential, oswald knew him. hed worked for oswald, and like i said, oswald was more or less fond of the guy. penns just a poor little meow meow, y u kil him eddie? 🥺

unless this fondness was part of the problem. unless ed saw how happy oswald was to see him, got annoyed but let it slide, then used penn attacking os and knowing about the sub as an excuse to kill him. and why would oswald being happy to see penn be a problem to ed? it wouldnt be. it wouldnt be, unless ed thinks oswald is his.

which makes sense. i know im calling him names and calling him out, but like. oswald told him he loved him like 5 times 2 years prior, i dont blame him for believing that maybe theres something to it (especially since that was the point of 3x14, oswald really being in love with him and surprising himself with it). but i thought ed didnt feel the same way? because hes very hetero? because he had a full-on girlfriend before, twice, technically? because-

hm. i know this is a bit off topic, but i just got a war-flashback and... why did ed sound so hurt when he said that? "youll never change." nope, it wont be. im gonna sit here crying about the injustice of not having them kiss on screen in the finale as was originally intended for the rest of my life. seriously though, what is this, nbc's hannibal, where im noticing something new details every single time i watch the show, causing me to spiral? no, i was already spiralling. the spiralling was the reason i rewatched the scene. the scene simply made it worse.

so yeah, im done freaking out about a mediocre show that was cancelled 5 years ago and is honestly not worth anyones time (like, its ok. it might even be better than i remember since its been so long. i doubt it. but its ok).

tl;dr: ive only now realised that a specific gay song plays in a specific episode of a show i watched 5 years ago and the only reason theyd include it in the episode is if the dude that was not canonically in love with the other dude was in fact gay, they just werent allowed to make it canon, so they added the gay song to subtlely tell us about it.

pt.1

itoshi rin rediscovers you at the age of twenty one. by now, he and his brother have made up and he has become a professional football player.

he sees you for the first time in five years in his hometown, which he had returned to for the holidays.

you stand on the opposite side of the street, scarf covering the lower half of your face while your breath plumes in front of you. at first, he didn't believe it’s you, he had figured you would have been long out of this town; reaching the dreams you and he used to talk of under the starry sky.

but, when he walks past you, that familiar scent reaches his nose. he can’t help but freeze in place for just a second. it was really you. he spins around to try to catch you, but you’re already long gone. the honking of a car draws him back to reality as he runs to the other side.

when you see rin again for the first time across the street, you can’t help the stinging happiness that runs through your veins. a part of you hopes that it wasn’t him, the other part hopes he doesn’t recognize you. you weren’t ready. but when you walk past him and see those turquoise eyes, alive again, your steps hasten. you still aren’t ready.

despite keeping track of the news on him, watching all of his games, you weren’t ready to face him after he broke your heart five years ago. you tried to love someone else, but there was always an emptiness. your heart was gone, still in the hands of the boy you had loved for fourteen years now.

the nipping cold feels much more intense now, maybe it was your wet cheeks that made it feel as such. or maybe it was the heat that had creeped under your collar. no matter how many years or how many heartbreaks, rin itoshi would always be the man you love.

when you return home, you go to your room and slide down the door, head in your hands. it was pathetic. the man you had loved for most of your conscious life had slipped just between your fingers yet again.

rin returns home and the first thing he does is look for sae, desperate for some advice. rin trusted his beloved big brother more than anyone else.

“big brother, i… i need help.”

not even two hours later, rin is knocking on your childhood home’s door. your parents answer, surprised by the sight of him. they were angry at first, but they knew too that you had never gotten over him.

“hello, mr and mrs l/n, is y/n home?” rin’s meek under the scrutinizing gaze of your parents, but they soften and tell him that you no longer live with him.

rin isn’t ready to let go of this chance, it’s now or never to him. he cannot bear the thought of letting you slip through his fingers again. truth is, he never wanted to leave you in his heart. but he did a lot of things he didn’t truly want to do back then, not that it’s an excuse. 

all rin can do is desperately hope that you’d give him just one more chance, that you’d fall in love with him again. he wouldn’t need to fall for you again, because he had never stopped loving your for a single day within those five years.

as you sit in your apartment, your phone begins to buzz. you pick it up and it’s your parents. they ask if you want to have dinner at theirs. you think it’s a little strange, as you had seen them less than three hours ago, but you agree nonetheless.

while you ride the subway, you can’t help but think of the inevitability of your feelings for rin. you couldn’t go on like this. even if it meant rejection, you just had to let him know that you had never stopped loving him, not once since you were just seven years old.

you knock on the door and your eyes widen when rin itoshi answers. part of you wants to just turn around now. you aren’t ready. after five years you still aren’t ready. but, for once, you allow your mind to override your heart and enter the house.

dinner is awkward, rin sits across from you, you can’t help but keep your eyes glued to your plate. if you look up you know you’ll end up falling right into those turquoise eyes you loved so, you’d let him break your heart again if you saw him.

your parents try to make some semblance of small talk, but you just don’t talk. rin answers, he’s a lot more like the boy you fell in love with now. your eyes flicker up and they meet his. they were alive once again, sparkling like gemstones: as they did all those years ago.

immediately the warmth in your chest returns and you feel just as lovesick as you did the day he left you. despite your best attempts to suppress it, the undeniable and inevitable truth was that you were still head over heels for rin itoshi; and you always will be.

when rin sees you standing outside the door, he watches as the hurt flashes in your starry eyes. his heart aches, knowing that he’s the reason behind it. he watches as you hesitate, beginning to step back, he feels his heart begin to crumble. but when you walk in, he’s more than surprised. rin itoshi loved you, no, he loves you.

he watches as you pick at your food, very clearly ignoring him. he didn’t care, he was just happy he got to see you again. he didn’t care if you hated him by now, he deserved it. he just wanted to be able to be near you once again, even if it was the last time.

while he was taking you in, your eyes flicker up for just the briefest moment, but it was just enough for him to catch them. when he sees that look of nothing but the purest love begin to gleam in them, he regains hope. rin begins to believe that maybe there’s a chance that you had never stopped loving him either.

after dinner, rin offers to walk you home. you don’t tell him that you took a short subway ride, so you could be by his side for just a bit longer. it’s silent for a long while, the only sound being footfalls and soft breaths. 

you can’t help but to break it first. “so, how’s your team in france?” it slipped out so easily, falling into that familiar, nostalgic habit like butter. you don’t even realize that you had just let the fact that you kept up with him slip.

“it’s good. how’s university?” rin contains the giddiness he feels when he learns that you kept up with him for so long, suppressing the flush that tries to rise to his cheeks. you mumble out a response and it goes quiet again.

the silence wasn’t uncomfortable, but it wasn’t what either of you wanted, and you both knew that. so desperately you both yearned to break the ice that had formed under this snowy night, just like the night that had ruined it all.

rin had grown a lot, coming back out of the shell that he had built so rigidly around his shattered heart. so he offers his vulnerability first this time.

“i’m sorry.”

you stop walking, just staring at his back. you feel those crystalline drops begin to fall over your lower lashes. that familiar pitter-patter of your heart rings so heavily in your ears as this time, unlike the last, rin turns around. you’re allowed to the the tears welling in his eyes as well.

rin keeps away from you at first when the apology spills out of his mouth, he can’t bear to look at you. lest you gaze at him with anything but love his heart will break for the second time in his life. but, he was putting everything on the line now. so he turned.

when he first sees the tears running down your cheeks he panics, thinking the worst. but the wobbly smile that rests on your lips has his heart skipping beats, the dumbstruck love clouding all rational judgment.

“rinnie, you jerk… i never once stopped loving you.” your words are broken up by snotty sniffles that you try your best to contain, but ultimately fail. when you see that shimmer in his beautiful turquoise eyes, you are back to that seven year old who blushed at the little boy next to them.

rin hears you say that and all his worries disappear, for a moment he’s that little boy who’s watching the chubby cheeks of the kid next to him split in a bright grin.

“really?” his question is breathy, escaping in a plume into the cold night air.

that same smile he fell in love with parted your lips before you spoke. “i promised, remember? not for the world.”

rin swears he falls even deeper in love with you at this moment. he bounds to you as he embraces you, taking you completely in his form. rin destroyed your world at sixteen years old, but here at twenty one he was rebuilding it even better.

they say broken bones heal stronger, maybe that’s why your broken heart healed with an even more intense love for the boy with those turquoise eyes.

he walks you home with your hand in his, keeping it warm from the cool breeze on this chilly december night.

rin itoshi proposes to you at twenty one, not even an hour after reuniting with you. he doesn’t have a ring, nor has he told anyone or even asked your parents. but he knows that this is right. somewhere in the deepest reaches of his soul, it says this is the right decision.

you had always had rin itoshi’s heart, even when he pretended you did not. truth is, he left his heart with you at sixteen when he broke yours. but now, he held your heart so gently in his hands, only able to hope you would treat his as such.

even if you didn’t he wouldn’t care.

and you too didn’t care, because for those turquoise eyes, you would let him break your heart again.

The idea of seeing you again makes Jaehyun feel a little hot. And not just in a good way. Kind of sweaty. Nervous, almost. 

You vowed to never go back to Jaehyun – but your editor said that if you couldn’t get this story, you ‘shouldn’t come back at all’.

So, three nights later, you go back to Jaehyun’s house. You’re wearing an outrageous black lace dress that ‘highlights your boobs’ (in Giselle’s words). 

A full-on limousine idles in front of Jaehyun’s house. 

Jaehyun slouches stylishly in the back seat, offering you a glass of champagne. “More tea, vicar?” 

You can’t stop smiling.

Jaehyun’s wealth should disgust you, but it secretly impresses you. He looks offensively good in a black three-piece suit, his fringe falling into his forehead. 

He treats you to a five-course meal in a skyscraper. The restaurant… is empty. 

“I asked them to keep our little date quiet,” Jaehyun murmurs. “Journalists, am I right?” 

You stifle a gasp. If only he knew.

A while later, you are in a designer clothing shop, resting your heads on your elbows. Your eyes burn into each other’s. 

A gorgeous three thousand dollar Chanel dress lies between you – one that you made the mistake of glancing at. 

“Get me to change my mind on one of my policies and the dress is yours,” he challenges. 

“Easy,” you say. “Stop cutting immigration. Instead, let qualified people from abroad enter the country. The economy will boom.”

Jaehyun clears his throat uncomfortably. “Well… I hadn’t thought of that.” He eyes the dress. “If I didn’t know how sexy you would look in this dress, I would be annoyed. It is very expensive.” 

Later, you and Jaehyun walk arm in arm along the banks of the Han River. Dangerously, the dress makes you feel like you are Asha… like you could do anything. 

Jaehyun smiles arrogantly down at you. “Did my date impress you?” He sighs. “Why even ask? Of course, you’re impressed.” 

You curl your lip. “You’re a little rich boy who showered his family’s money on me. That doesn’t take talent.” 

His face hardens. “Stop calling me that.”

“What?” you say.

“A rich boy. I’m not who you think I am.” His voice drops. “My father, who you love talking about, isn’t even my father.”

Your heart speeds up. This is the story you’ve been looking for. 

“What do you mean?” you ask, keeping your voice steady.

Jaehyun continues, “I’m an orphan. He picked me up from the streets when I was ten. Trust me, if he had any child of his own, they would be running the party.”   

You gasp.

He smiles bitterly. “Poverty? I know it.” 

You should be thrilled – this is enough to bring Jaehyun’s campaign down. But instead, all you want is for that pained look to leave his eyes. 

Just then, a strange memory surfaces in your mind. You frown. 

Jaehyun smiles sadly. “Now you remember.”  

And then it comes back to you. Almost twenty years ago, your mum sent you to the laundrette… when you saw a boy with large brown eyes and dimples, sitting on a huge box of Ultra Clean laundry detergent, grinning at you. You gave him your last coin.  

In delight, you clasp the sides of Jaehyun’s face, beaming up at him. You always wondered what that boy would be like when he grew up… how handsome he would be. You could barely believe that the boy was Jaehyun.

Jaehyun kisses you. And you like it. Far too much. You kiss him back, pulling his body as close to you as is humanly possible. He feels delicious against you. You feel his hardness against every inch of your skin. 

You try to see him as the spoilt airhead the way you used to. You try to stop yourself from caring about him. But you fail – Jaehyun has changed for you. Or maybe, you two were never that different in the first place.  

You pull away…

Removed from the intoxicating influence of his lips, you are confused. Jaehyun, if he likes you at all, does not like you. He likes Asha. 

The thought makes you stiffen. 

Wrapping your arms around yourself, you walk away, hoping the chill night air will bring you clarity. 

“Asha,” he calls. “Leaving so soon? That’s classy.”

But his joke does not make you laugh. You know where you have to go.

The office of the Daily Herald is empty. 

Every time you try to write the news story that will bring Jaehyun’s campaign down, you get distracted. 

You see Jaehyun’s blazing eyes as he confessed to you. You feel his lips on your lips. You remember the grin of the boy at the laundrette so many years ago. And the words won’t come. 

You take a deep breath. This article will save your career. As for you and Jaehyun… well, there is no you and Jaehyun. 

You plug in your headphones and, though your stomach is twisting, you begin to write. 

Jaehyun Jung is the darling of the people. However, even he has his share of dirty secrets…

When you are done, you feel disgusted by your article. It’s a cheap shot. You’re not attacking Jaehyun’s policies – you’re attacking him for being working class. And, a little voice says, you’re hurting him. 

You decide that you will never publish this article. If you lose your job, so be it. 

When you see the time, you freak out. You need to get home.

The next morning, you are awoken by a rapid pinging noise. 

You have 7 missed calls from Giselle, followed by a message that says, TURN ON THE TV. 

…is not, in fact, former President Jung’s son…

…orphan, picked up off the street…

…election campaign thrown off the rails… 

The newsreader lifts up a copy of the Daily Herald – with your article front and centre. 

How did they get that? You never submitted the article! You look for your laptop… then realise that you left it in the office last night. 

You feel sick. 

You have only one message from Jaehyun.

‘I trusted you.’

But what if Bro Zone had successfully hit the perfect family harmony all those years ago?

Here’s my take on it:

Bro Zone: A band of 5 brothers ranging from the ages 18 to 5 years old, They where already the biggest music act in their village only having been together for about 2 years

At a time when the trolls biggest threat was Troll eating creatures called Bergens, which made them live in constant fear, Bro Zone brought a sense of relief and happiness, with their music and dynamic. In a way, Bro Zone was what kept most of their village from going grey

“When you’re people main source of happiness, there’s no room for mistakes” Their manager said to John Dory as the discussed future plans

“No room for mistakes” He would quietly mutter to himself throughout the days

“We would all be grey without you guys!”

“Listening to your music distracts me from thinking about Trollstice!”

“You guys are perfect!”

While the other brothers just took the comments as light compliments, John Dory took them more seriously

“Spruce! 100 more sit ups”

“Clay! Tell us a joke!”

“Floyd! Why do you look mad? You’re not the “mad one”

If he pushed them hard enough, then they would be Perfect.

Trollstice was only a couple months away, the brothers may have been “celebrities” but that didn’t mean the Bergens would spare them, in fact they might’ve been more eager to capture them, and eating the pop trolls most loved members, aside from their royalty

Which is why John Dory had an…idea

“TOUR?” Spruce asked baffled “Now??”

John Dory nodded “it couldn’t hurt, I mean, spreading our music further out in the world! Exploring new places like Um-mount rageous!” He said pointing to the map he had

“John-Performing at mount rageous would be IMPOSSIBLE” Soruce stressed “they’re like, giants that would easily crush us!”

“It was just a suggestion! If anything we’ll just go to other pop villages”

“Oh like, Timbre?” Floyd asked looking up fr his spot “my friend lives over there”

John Dory nodded “why is this one marked?” Branch asked pointing to the village named “Fugue”

The brothers glanced at each other, how does one explain to their 5 year old brother that the village no longer exists as the trolls that once lived there had either completely left or all been eaten “it a Um…”

“Old village! Yeah John’s map is a little out dated, silly John Dory!” Clay jumped in with a grin, Branch seemed to except that answer

“Why all of a sudden? You’ve always been content with performing in our village” Clay asked as Branch went to play “Well, with Trollstice coming”

Floyd covered his ears, he hated talking about Trollstice, they all did, but Floyd could never bare the hear that dreaded word

“I couldn’t help but think, what if one of us is next”

“JOHN!” Spruce snapped as Floyd looked like he would cry “IM SORRY! But it’s true okay?? and if it’s-god forbid-any one of us, then I at least want our names to be known by more trolls outside of our own village! This might be the only chance we get to go on a tour!”

His brothers where silent for a moment thinking

“Okay.”

The past couple of days leading up to the tour had been hectic, the brothers where already stressed, John had been pushing them even harder

Then he made a promise

He promised they would do something no one could ever achieve

The perfect family harmony

Right there, in their home village, the very first show they would achieve the impossible

“ARE YOU CRAZY!?” Spruce shouted “The perfect family harmony?? That’s impossible!”

“It’s not and we can prove it!” John Dory argued back “we just need to practice!”

“And how will anyone know we even hit it? We could use special effects” Clay asked, John Dory pulled something from his hair

A Diamond

“King Peppy gave it to me” John Dory said, Clay rolled his eyes “that’s fake” He concluded, grabbing it and smashing it on the ground

Or attempted too

Because it didn’t shatter, or crack, or anything

Clay picked it up and chucked it at the wall, nothing, accept a dent in their wall

“Huh-I guess it is real”

John Dory rolled his eyes snatching it back with a mutter of “give me that” before tucking it back in his hair.

The days after John Dory made that promise to their fans, he’d become more and more strict when it came to their practices, everything had to be PERFECT

Unfortunately that just made the others (save for Branch) less eager to try

“John Dory, honey” Grandma Rosie Puff said motioning for him to sit with her at the table

“I know you’re eager to want to hit the perfect family harmony, but you’ll never succeed if you keep pushing your brothers away”

John Dory frowned, pushing his brothers away? He wasn’t pushing them away??

He looked at his grandma “what do you mean?”

Rosie Puff smiled “you keep pushing them and criticizing them ever since you made that promise but the more you push the further they’ll go, and soon you all won’t be in harmony”

John Dory sat silently thinking about his grandma’s words.

After that conversation, John Dory was better, his brothers began enjoying practicing, they had fun together.

The day of the concert came, the trolls had all been talking about the perfect family harmony, some even doubted they could do it, actually most doubted they could do it

Bro Zone where on stage, this was it

“ And it’s so perfect perfect perfect “

Colors surrounded the brothers as they sang and dance together, it was working! They couldn’t mess this up

“You’ll never ever wanna let it go”

The brothers harmonized together, in front of them, the Diamond placed in the stage had began to crack more and more

“Perfect Perfect Perfect”

The Diamond shattered, sending a wave throughout the crowd

They’d done it

They actually did it

The crowd cheered and went crazy

The news spread quickly and Bro Zone went from being a local band to be known world wide

Everyone knew about the brother band that successfully shattered Diamond

The brothers held concerts for crowds bigger then they ever dreamed, they where world famous

They where also heavily protected, by order of the king, they could risk their biggest source of happiness being eaten, so they where moved from their pod somewhere safer

Body guards accompanied them everywhere

During Trollstice they where conveniently sent away

Everytime they came back after Trollstice, they noticed more empty pods. Some trolls didn’t understand why they got extra protection, but when the brothers returned, the trolls seemed happier.

This was the common routine, Make trolls happy and stop them from going grey.

This was their purpose, no matter how far the ventured, them being a band kept their village alive and happy

This would be their lives, they couldn’t disband, not now.

Not with all the trolls that relied on them

Not with the king implementing special protection amongst them

Not with their promise to never leave forever.

Shattering that Diamond was only the beginning,

But it led them becoming so much more then just some boy band

They where Bro Zone, and no matter how tired they become of the boy band look, they couldn’t walk away.

Sometimes, just sometimes, They wished that perfect family harmony hadn’t worked all those years ago
