Since people have been mentioning the Reincarnation AU where the TFA characters become the babies of G1 characters, I feel like dragging an idea from Discord onto here that was talked about in, like, October.
So G1 Prowl gives birth to TFA Prowl, right? And the adults are worried that baby Prowl is sickly due to how thin he is compared to basically everyone else who is blocky. Of course, mama Prowl is very protective of baby Prowl.
One day, mama Prowl left the baby with Jazz due to all the other mecha he trusts being busy and Prowl needing to go do something that isn't safe to bring the baby to. Jazz takes the baby to a pit of sorts he knows the baby won't escape from and its a sunny day, so he isn't worried when he falls asleep. However, he should've checked the weather because oh boy here comes the rain. He wakes up to baby Prowl crying at him and raining pouring down and Jazz has to rush back to base.
Ratchet is not happy at Jazz as he sets up the baby with a little nest of heated blankets and the baby keeps sneezing and got a cold from how long he was out in the rain before Jazz could return. When mama Prowl finds out, he's furious and lays into Jazz, scolding him. Jazz is a bundle of shame and sadness, since now mama Prowl won't let Jazz babysit the baby and whenever he goes to the medbay, he feels so bad when he sees baby Prowl asleep in his little nest.
Jazz gets back into mama Prowl's good graces when something happens and Jazz is the only mecha mama Prowl trusts with his baby that is staying at base. Jazz knows mama Prowl is watching him, so keeps the baby in his room and makes a blanket fort with the baby. Mama Prowl returns to see the baby happy and snuggling with Jazz.
There was more to this with Bumblebee and the Decepticons, but I can throw it in through a different ask or you can relay to tumblr if you so choose.
ITS BEEN 5 MONTHS SINCE THIS AU STARTED?? FUCK 😭
But anyway YES! Back when Lil P was the only reincarnated sparkling and Prowl was still a super high strung overprotective mama! Poor bitty isn't at all accustomed to water or snow or earth's shittastic cold temperatures (idk if winters were this harsh in the 80s but where I'm at, our winter temperatures regularly dip below -30°F [that's -34.4°C for anyone not in ye old freedom land]) and delicate little praxians are not built for such extreme cold! It's a miracle all he got was a bit of cold shock! Ratchet chews him out, sure, but Jazz was actually afraid Prowl might kill him. He has never seen the SIC so mad, before or since
It takes him a looong time to get back into the resident milf's good graces, and even after he earns the right to babysit again? Prowl still gives him the "I'm watching you" fingers at every hand off. Jazz is always on his best behavior looking after Lil P, refusing to take him outside and keeping him safely entertained in the rec room or his suite. He's the fun uncle that let's the baby build blanket forts and tear apart his room, but he truly doesn't mind. They've fallen asleep in there together on more than one occasion 💖
Prowl will never admit it, but he has pictures 😌 he likes to look through them on his drives when Lil P is cuddled against his chassis, sound asleep after a long day

starscream fans will not like what i say, but someone needs to say this: out of all transformers characters, starscream is generally one of the best included, not only basically every tf media have him, but he gets de facto reinterpretations of his character and not just picking the personality of some other tf and calling it ''reinterpretation''. so for me who is fan of tfs who didnt get anything new for most a decade and when they get they are basically TF X with the name of TF Y, stars fan and their whining is so annoying, specially bcs most of time it's not even based on stars real character they are complaining and instead is why he isn't like the OOC Ao3 fanfictions they read. sorry for the rant and i love your blog and your opinions, have a good day
Everyone has their favorite and they like to see their favorite... But I don't quite get Starscream fans being... Surprised or shocked whenever it's revealed he's in a new story. He's in almost everything. Of course he's in the new thing, he is in the top 5 most marketable characters in the franchise out of over 1000. Soundwave doesn't even show up as frequently.
And yes, he is a character who's pretty much the same every time. Sure, I get wanting to see perhaps more lateral interpretations or writers allowing him to make decisions that don't revolve around absolving Megatron by making Starscream the big meanie (that's more a character development point). However! Consistency is also nice. Best of luck if you're a fan of someone like Prowl. Are you getting the original Budiansky bio or Sunbow Prowl? The ninja Beachcomber TFA version? The IDW1 version that's just Stakeout but without realizing he doesn't make a good leader of the team and passing it to someone else? (When I say most character reinterpretions are just a pre-existing character with a different name, I'm not kidding.) Maybe you're a Tracks fan like I am and get sad when writers only remember the vain part and not the "huge Earth lover" part. I feel bad for anyone who liked Getaway before James Roberts wrote More Than Meets the Eye.
Fanfiction can sometimes have amazing characterizations that change how you think about a character. Some fanfiction is so disconnected that you're not sure why it's tagged with a character they didn't seem to actually be interested in writing them.
I get liking a character, wanting to see them, and being put out when they're not written like you think they should be... But there does need to be some perspective. Starscream is in over 200 pieces of Transformers media and gets to keep his same basic personality traits throughout. That's worlds better than what many other fans get. Blaster hasn't been in a Transformers show or movie since the 80s and hasn't gotten much material in the comics for a long time. He's gotten a lot of toys in the past few years, but that's it.
I'm glad you like my blog and opinions! Thank you!

This is going to get long, i have a lot to say dflghjdf
So the main robot race I have, Vitrulari, is heavily inspired by Cybertornians in general. The main differences being 1. they're human sized 2. literally only one of them "transforms" into anything and only because of Irresponsible Science 3. their super special robot juice is literally magic (i like my science fantasy...)
In the Et Al main story, immediately after Vitrular's first and only civil war has ended, the leader of one of the two warring factions as part of the peace negotiations leads a team to investigate some issues brought to light about ancient prophecies of theirs getting all fucky for some reason sometime in the last 50 or so years, but they get attacked and accidentally end up on Earth.
Emissionary is inspired by Megatron originally but RP Megatron went through a lot of changes for self-indulgence reasons, so Em is very far removed from that. He was the second leader of the Dracons following the death of the previous leader. He is also the rightful heir to the Vitrular throne but has conceded power to the Anati leader Tera during peace negotiations because the Anati wouldn't settle for anything less than a "win" and likely would have caused a riot if the war ended and Emissionary was put back in power. He likes cartoons and is a huge nerd.
Suriv is inspired by Starscream who in RP was still a little shit, but Suriv has become a far different character and doesn't have the same role Starscream had in the RP at all. He's Emissionary's husband and Second-In-Command and is one of just over 200 clones made by the Dracons in a unethical experiment that started under the original Dracon leader. Suriv is number 195 and sought out Emissionary during the war to alert Em to the existence of the clone experiments and have Emissionary end them at long last.
Cogfix is based on Ratchet and also a little of Doctor McCoy from Star Trek. He's a grumpy southern doctor and grandfather figure who is on the team because his wife, Giga, joined the team as a doctor as well and also to keep Jackspark in line.
Jackspark is based on Wheeljack except RP Wheeljack since I think my friend had told me TFA Wheeljack didn't have a lot to him??? Or something like that??? Essentially he's the scientist of the team except... He also has to do the repairs and engineering and basically a lot of stuff outside of his actual job as a "scientist" which is already a broad term since he does way too many different kinds of science??? He has a reputation back home for being immoral and kinda "crazy" and even his own side of the war (Anati) fears him because of the number of terrible weapons he was credited with creating during the war.
Beewire, aka Bee, is based on Bumblebee. He's young, scrappy, kinda a punk but with a good heart and with electricity based powers. Beewire's place on the team is to do "grunt work" as part of community service because he got into some trouble with illegal racing back home.
Illusion is based on Prowl. They (singular) are from a martial arts community and make up one-half of the security team. They have an interest in plants and have a mod that lets them turn invisible.
Triple Shot is based on both Blitzwing and Good Cop/Bad Cop from the Lego Movie. They (plural) are two minds sharing a body, differentiated by voice and optic color. The one with red eyes gets the nickname Latte. They (singular) are the more "serious" side and the original mind from the body before the second developed, and they tend to get embarrassed by the other mind's antics a lot. The one with blue eyes is Mocha who switches between he and she pronouns depending on how she's feeling that day (usually I default to she for her). Mocha is the more self-indulgent side who people often assume isn't as smart as Latte because of how impulsive she seems but in many ways is actually smarter than them. Triple Shot is the other half of the security team and is the one who can transform into something (a coffee maker) because Jackspark suggested he give them that mod and it "sounded like a good idea at the time"
Mellohertz is based on Jazz. He's from the same community as Illusion but left a few thousand years before Illusion to join something called the "Agency" and was neutral during the war. His job in the Agency was to help find and rescue organic lifeforms that were being illegally sold on Vitrular and help get them back to their correct homes, and he realized that Emissionary's team disappeared through an interstellar gate the Agency used about a decade ago to send a human back to Earth and so jumped at the chance to go after Em's team in hopes of meeting this human again.
Rapid Fire is based on Blurr. High strung, ultra serious bot with a speed mod who is an agent in the Vitrular Intelligence Agency (the rebranding of the Anati Intelligence Agency, and a separate thing from the Agency) who was also sent to find Emissionary's team when they went missing. Speaks fast and speaks a lot and repeats himself frequently to help make sure that people he talks to catch the important bits of what he has to say. Gets flustered around cute people. Distrusts Blacksun with a passion, despite having previously admired him during his role as "Wintellect"
Blacksun, previously "Wintellect", based on Shockwave. Childhood friend of Emissionary who, during the war, somehow gained the ability to change his appearance without it being a Hard Light Display and so went undercover infiltrating the Anati to the point he became the director of the AIA. Has been acting really sus since joining Emissionary on Earth post Rapid Fire getting them back in contact with Vitrular. (Spoilers, it's because this isn't even Blacksun remember how this is science fantasy he's a demon originally from Earth posing as Blacksun it'll be explained in text eventually)
Technix is based on Perceptor. Jackspark's roommate from school and the head of the Vitrular Science Division (previously the Anati Science Division) of which Jackspark is the deputy head. Had Jackspark help remove his emotions during the war, though he still has the chip with the emotions plus back-ups saved in case he needs to install them again. Somehow, even without emotions, still constantly berates Jackspark's work and misbehavior yet never seems to think to fire Jackspark and even personally assigned him to Emissionary's team without assigning any other scientists or engineers under the justification that "Jackspark can handle everything"
Thorn Dragon, based on Lockdown, is number 189 of the Dracon clones and is a bounty hunter by trade who has participated in the illegal organic trade on Vitrular.
Mirrorsmoke is based on Thundercracker. Number 198 of the Dracon clones and originally Suriv's Second-In-Command before Suriv left the team to go seek out Emissionary. Became team leader in Suriv's stead and fucked it up losing three of their team members very early into it (194, 197, and 199). An egotistical strategist who is bitter with Suriv for abandoning them and under Turbowish's suggestion ordered the team to attack Emissionary's ship post-war, stranding Emissionary's team on Earth.
Turbowish is based on Sunstorm. He's number 193 of the clones. Sycophantic but often in backhanded ways or to achieve a means for his own selfish desires. He's the team doctor and one of the doctors who has studied specifically Dracon clone physiology though he rather be surrounded by pretty things than help others. A bit of a seer but as a clone was never given the chance to properly develop this so he doesn't know how to account for that fucky thing that happened about 50 years ago.
Doomrail aka Liarmood is based on Ramjet. Number 196 of the clones. Is the most honest person because he always says the opposite of what he means (therefore can only tell the truth you just have to reverse what he actually says). A scientist who is on the team mostly to try and keep Mirrorsmoke and Turbowish from doing something too stupid though he wasn't able to stop them from attacking Emissionary's team. Is mostly there to help protect Stellarblast at this point, and because the two of them have no where else to go.
Stellarblast aka Stella is based on Skywarp. Cowardly and with the ability to teleport, he's a survivalist who does what he can to stay alive and out of harm's way. He also takes up the position of electrical engineer since no one else was willing to do it and they've really needed someone who can do wiring and stuff a lot. Number 200 of the clones, the youngest on their team and one of the last clones to be made before the experiment ended.
Sven Goldberg. We're finishing up this list with Sven hecking Goldberg. He's based on Swindle. He likes to have money and collect money and is a "businessman" whose primary goal is to get money. However, this is actually because he's half dragon (and half human) and so wants the money for dragon hoarding instincts. He also uses it to power his magic in that he essentially "spends" money to cast spells. (He likes cash instead of credit for this reason because credit isn't "real"). No one knows how old he is, but he's been seen around hanging around his house in 1920s underwear or wearing 1910s bathing suits to swim and he calls people "sport" sometimes. It's the 2060s in the current story, for reference.
I think that's all the characters based on TFA characters! Technically there's a few others, but those ones are more loosely based than the rest of these.
Okay. YES, Brenner was influenced by Deacon. I was wondering.
Yep! Because I really like Deacon so wanted to include a character like him in the comic, though there are enough differences to make Brenner his own character (which will hopefully come to light as the comic progresses).
I actually have quite a few characters who are influenced by existing ones across a few different works, so I have practice taking a character and making my own version of them that is similar but noticeably different from the original. Brenner’s just another one in that mix.

Rise of Skywalker, a movie I genuinely loved!
Ok so I've had almost a full day to think about my thoughts on Rise of Skywalker. Right from leaving the cinema, I knew that I loved this movie! Sure it had it's flaws but every single Star Wars movie does and I like to think the positives outweigh them. It had amazing cinematography, the adventure was there, and all the emotions that come with Star Wars.
SPOILERS AHEAD
Tumblr media
I think first I'll talk about the flaws because I love ending things on a cheery note. First, Rose Tico was pushed to the sidelines and I wish we got to see more of her character arc. I think after seeing the backlash some fans had for Rose, JJ was afraid to have her in the spotlight. She could've done more. I would've liked to see her interact more with Finn even platonically. And interact with Rey.
Second, I'm a huge Anakin Skywalker fan so part of me feels like they disrespected his arc in this movie with Palpatine being back. I kinda felt like it was all for nothing. But then I did see some other reviews that said he brought balance for a long time, but balance isn't permanent. So that post brought me some peace on that, thanks to who wrote it (I can't remember who, sorry!).
Third, Ben Solo's death. So I'm not sure if I just hate it because I loved his character or if it really wasn't a good decision. Star Wars stuck to their algorithm of redeeming the villain but to only kill him seconds later. We already saw this with Anakin. Did we have to see it again? Then again it was really meaningful that he sacrificed himself for Rey. Maybe he's still alive somewhere, idk I'm in denial still.
Tumblr media
Ok so now onto things I liked/loved which is a lot, but I'm not good with reviews so I might not name all!
First I must say that I loved Rey and Ben's relationship and chemistry. There isn't too much dialogue, but you can see how much they care for one another through expressions. Props to Adam Driver for conveying so much in just looks and actions. The way he looked when he found Rey's dead body was so heartbreaking. He looked so vulnerable.
Tumblr media
Also the way Rey was so relieved to see Ben after he brought her back. She smiled like he was this bright light. And oh my, my heart fluttered when they kissed. It's probably just me being the huge romantic that I am, but that was one of my favorite parts. From the beginning they had a strong emotional connection. In TLJ we can see how strongly they feel for one another. Ben wants her to be by his side constantly and really opens up to her. Rey does the same. She let's her self open up about her past and desire to belong somewhere/someone to Ben. In my mind, the buildup was there. It saddens me that it had to be a tragic romance, but Star Wars always has that tragedy. Ben also showed that hope leads somewhere. Rey held onto hope that he would return to the light and he did. He was at peace when he died.
Tumblr media
Second thing I loved was the trio of Rey, Finn, and Poe in this movie! We have been waiting to see them all in action together since TFA. And JJ did not disappoint. The banter between the three flowed nicely and was comedic. It felt like a family. It was also so nice to see Rey interacting with Poe! You can tell they have spent a lot of time with each other. For those who think Rey is alone, she has these two guys for her family.💛
Tumblr media
The scene where all the ships showed up last minute gave me Endgame vibes and I loved it. Especially when the main theme started.
The entire be with me scene in the throne room was chilling and awestrucking! (wow that first part of that sentence just threw back to GoT😨) When Rey looks up into the sky and the lightning fades to the calm and serene stars I too felt so relaxed. The soft music was so lovely, John Williams never fails. Hearing the jedi voices was what had me smiling like an idiot, especially hearing Anakin's voice saying "Bring balance as I once did". (I guess that's proving that his arc wasn't completely ruined). I would've loved to see Hayden Christensen, but I appreciate that we got to hear his voice.
Was anyone else so surprised to see Han even as a memory? It's not even that I was surprised because of how it goes into the plot, because it makes perfect sense for Ben to look back and remember his last interaction with his father. His father would be the key in him returning to the light. It just surprised me because I did not expect Harrison Ford to show up on set of Star Wars ever again😂. It was a very nice and welcome surprise though. From the moment he killed Han, you could tell Ben felt regret and remorse. I also loved that Leia reached out to her son one last time, showing Ben that his family has not given up on him.
Tumblr media
LEIA! It was so awesome to see her training as a jedi with a lightsaber! That flashback gave me so many chills. I loved how Leia continued to train Rey even though she knew she was related to Palpatine. It shows that Leia doesn't judge someone based off blood. Leia loved Rey and had faith in her. People can't help where they came from.
It was so sad to see Leia die but we all know it was going to happen. Chewie's reaction was so emotional and made me shed a tear. The galaxy will remember Princess Leia and Carrie Fisher forever.❤
Tumblr media
The Ending
Overall, I loved the ending. Sure I'm still devastated that Ben is dead, but looking at the big picture it was good/satisfying.
People are saying that Rey didn't grieve Ben and she moved on too quick. I think she knows that he will always be with her because no one's ever really gone. He is one with the force. (Ngl, part of me likes to believe he is alive out there somewhere or waiting to come back).
Also as I said before Rey still has people she loves! Finn and Poe are still alive and there for her.
This is just the way I saw it, but I don't think Rey plans to stay on Tatooine very long/permanently. Rey didn't start and end the same way. She has a family now (Poe and Finn) and knows who she is. I think she went there to pay respect to the Skywalker family, it is where it all started with Shmi and her son, Anakin. She buried the lightsabers because they are no longer needed (her new lightsaber is beautiful btw) And don't hate me, but I don't mind her calling herself Rey Skywalker. She felt a deep connection to the family and both Luke and Leia took her under their wing. She doesn't care for/need the name Palpatine. It's not who she is. Which brings me to people being mad that Rey wasn't a nobody. I respect their reasons and everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but I don't think it hurt her character arc. Rey being related to the worst Star Wars villain and still not falling to his dark ways shows how strong she is! She defeated him and brought balance once again to the galaxy despite being his blood.
The ending shot was beautiful and was a perfect way to end the Skywalker saga. The binary sunset and theme was ethereal. It's how the movies started and it's how it ended.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Star Wars is tragic, romantic, and hopeful. This movie showed all of those things. We lost Ben but he felt love again with Rey. Hope was restored with him turning back to the light and Rey defying expectations of a Palpatine. Personally, I loved this movie so much and it did not let me down.
Feel free to add anything you liked about the movie!

I find it fucking hilarious when Steve is portrayed as someone who has /Never even Thought of breaking one (1) law. He would rather Die than break A Law. How dare anyone around him know any Deviant Criminals./ Like, did you not... look at steve, once, ever? how does one come to this conclusion fsghjkl Which isn't to rip on any fic authors but it is a funny interpretation of the character to me. That's all, thank you for accepting my rambles.
I genuinely wonder if people who have that conception of him have actually seen the Cap trilogy or if they’ve just seen the Avengers and are basing their characterization of Steve off of Joss Whedon’s Steve “Language!” Rogers, because that is the only way it makes sense that anyone would think of him as a rule follower and someone who has respect for the law lmao. Steve Rogers doesn’t give a single fuck about the law, if the law is standing in the way of doing the right thing. TFA has him committing a felony in the first 10 minutes of the movie. When he finally gets into the war the literal first thing he does is directly disobey his commanding officer. The other movies have him committing treason and violating UN conventions and breaking international criminals out of jail and telling the secretary of state to go fuck himself. There was an interview after Infinity War where Joe Russo made it clear that Steve had spent most of the previous two years in Wakanda with Bucky, because he is an internationally wanted criminal after Civil War and Wakanda was harboring him as a fugitive.
I think that’s what makes Steve such an incredibly rich, interesting character; that he has a very rigid sense of right and wrong but it has NOTHING to do with what’s legal and illegal. I think the creators would be really happy with what the MCU did with Steve tbh (other than age of ultron lol but we all collectively pretend that movie didn’t happen) because they really get to the heart of who this character was supposed to be and why he was created - a man who is supposed to embody the ideals of what America is supposed to be, not what it actually is in reality. A blue-eyed blond-haired man who looks like Hitler’s ideal Aryan but instead goes to Europe to punch Hitler in the face, written by a Jewish man who at the time had to sit there and watch his country know there was a genocide happening in Europe and do NOTHING about it.
The Whole. Entire. Purpose of Steve Rogers is to make the point that doing what’s right doesn’t always line up with doing what’s legal or what everyone else is doing, that sometimes governments don’t do the right thing and laws are unjust and oppressors look like the good guys because they have power. The interpretation that Steve is a good rule-following boy uwu is literally just … wrong. I don’t usually like to say that because characters should be interpreted in different ways but in this case, that interpretation of Steve is wrong, and it’s a disservice to the character and to the man who created him.
