I can't go long without discussing Barbara Gordon, so I am back on my shit! And have a list of habits I think she'd have as a wheelchair user.

Wears wheelchair gloves that only cover half the finger, so she can whip out her computer easily. These leaves her with blisters, and fingers covered in colorful bandaids.

The strategy of just running into push doors to open them, not the glass ones though. She very carefully opened those.

Will fully launch herself off of curbs, instead of going out of her way to find a ramp to get off sidewalks. Has face planted due to this, but has it mostly figured out.

Has lectured people on not being in their phones in public, due to almost running people over in her chair multiple times. Has revoked Batfamily members phones, after running into them.

Only has a few pairs of wheelchair gloves. They are like socks, and go missing often.

the fraggle rock wrap party song always makes me feel so many things, especially this one specific part:

and what i love is, with the context of the reboot, all of that is true!

we’ll be back: they did come back with the ‘back to the rock’

we’ll be new: the whole reboot is revamped with better graphics and effects, and some new performers

we’ll be the same: the reboot holds the same heart that the original has (feeling kind of more like a continuation than a reboot, to me at least) with some of the same performers as well

and just the fact that they made these promises, then about 35 years later they came true? it just feels so special

i do unironically think the best artists of our generation are posting to get 20 notes and 3 reblogs btw. that fanfic with like 45 kudos is some of the best stuff ever written. those OCs you carry around have some of the richest backstories and worldbuilding someone has ever seen. please do not think that reaching only a few people when you post means your art isn't worth celebrating.

i spent my entire teenaged years fighting for my life. i crawled through the deepest pits of my depression to cling to the promise of a life beyond that pain. i was so convinced that i was going to die young, that i would never see the grace of my age starting with a 2, let alone 3.

so im going to turn 30, and there’s not a damn thing anyone can do to stop me from loving it.
