I can so see jace being the parent who gets on his kids to make their beds

I can also see him being baffled at their possible interests in mundane culture but also him and clary secretly being relieved their kids have a childhood of putting posters on walls

literally could talk about this man as a father forever

dude you're so right with all of this. and the relief.. ugh i feel like there will be a lot of that as his child(ren) get older and the results of like actually having a childhood in which they are loved and respected begin to reveal themselves. like imagine what joy him and clary will get just from raising their kids without lies. with restrictions and guidelines and discipline, yes, but also with honestly and like legit reasons for why those rules (like making your bed etc.) are in place. and with fun that doesn't just come on birthdays and with the freedom to express themselves while knowing full well who they are (or at least as much as they can). i just feel like they'd cultivate such a beautiful home.
