#but college has really done a lot for desensitizing me to it. im still a little amazed at the fact that i gave an hour long presentation

Oh yeah so for my UX design class. Our final project is creating some sort of app that links to a wearable fitness device. Like a fitbit. And my group's doing a lil tamagotchi thing, whatever. It's kind of dumb but this class is kind of dumb anyways. I suck it up and do it regardless so that I can graduate.

Anyways so we actually only came up with this idea on Monday lol. Barely done any work on it. But the guy in our group got a fuck ton of interviews yesterday for it, and thank GOD he did bc GUESS WHAT!!! The "check-in" that we had today that was Supposed to be the TA walking around to talk to groups ended up beinggggg INFORMAL PRESENTATIONS!!!!!!!! And no one was fucking ready for it bc on Monday she'd asked for us to choose between presentations or individual discussions and we chose individual discussions. But I guess she decided to do presentations after all.

And well ok so I have a habit of being a little late to this class every day. It's a 3 hour studio and so long as u get there within 15 mins they're chill about it. And today was extra sucky cause I got RAINED ON like pretty hard. Cold ass rain. My jeans were soaked. And well that sucked pretty hard.

But I walked in to find that they were doing PRESENTATIONS and I was like Aw Fuck. And see the thing is, 2 of my groupmates in that class are always *very* late. Like half an hour to an hour late, if they even show up at all. So I couldn't count on them. And my remaining groupmate is the quiet type, so I couldn't count on her either.

So I was like. Aw, fuck. It's up to me.

Sat there in the 5 or 10 mins I had while other groups were presenting to review the interview results from yesterday (I hadn't even looked at them yet 😭😭😭) and then I fuckin gave an informal presentation on the fly about our project that we Totally didn't start working on only 2 days ago (lol). And the thing is. Somehow???? We had the most work done out of the class?????? Most of them hadn't even done interviews yet 😭😭😭😭 like this is due on the 2nd and next week is Thanksgiving break 😭😭😭😭 there is NOT much time left!!!!!!!

But yeah I was riding that high of carrying that presentation for us. I'm so Fucking good at bullshitting.

Im now watching the scream films because of u!! I vaguely remember watching part of 1 when i was younger, but i never watched them. Im on 2 rn. Sid is best girl uwu. Also Gale you are LOOKING for a punch to the face i stg... twice now you have done this! Twice!! Also i loved Tatum an reading her tvtropes "  To this day she is still the only murder victim that really put up a fight against Ghostface" QUEEN i have no choice but to stan. Yes!!! Oh my god this makes me so happy, have a great time!!! Fun fact—Scream was actually my first horror franchise too. I didn’t think I liked horror as a kid, because I’d never really watched it and people gave the genre crap and talked down about it, but a friend loved Scream & I watched it with him for Halloween and just. 👀👀👀👀 I was like, uh WHAT. 🤣 It was so good. TuT And I just never got off the road after lol. I’m so glad you’re having a good time!

And yes!!!! Sidney is best girl!!! God, I love her so much. She’s so hardcore and amazing—went as her one Halloween at college. She’s a fighter and a survivor and even after all that trauma she’s so dedicated to caring about other people and staying who she is! AH SHES SO STRONG. God, I love her. Neve Campbell is like, the most beautiful woman too :’-] I cry. Ahhhhh and Gale! She’s a bitch, but she’s my bitch, and I love her character development, and I will sob over GalexDewey it’s true love I am /weak/. Fkn Scream 2 is iconic because Mr. Craven shots a scene with like six fkn overdone sappy highschool romance tropes back to back and EVERY ONE HIT MY LIKE A CANNON BALL. Critical success, accidental hand touch, I clutch my heart. Idk how he did it but he did it—I’m so excited for you because this also means you’re at 3 next and that’s my personal favorite!

Disclaimer, the first time I watched it, I though it was bad for the first half and amazing the second, but I later realized it just took me a whole hour to be desensitized to Courtney Cox’s bangs—do yourself a favor and just try to detox on them first before you watch 3, because on my second watch Scream 3 was hilarious and sweet and smart and just phenomenal—fave Ghostface too by far.

And god, 😭 Tatum. She deserved so much better. I love that her big bro Dewey and best friend Sid becomes almost family big brother-lil sis after, through her loss, because it’s sweet, but god. 😭 Poor Tatum. She was such a good friend and I loved her. “Billy and his penis don’t deserve you” me at all my friends!! God, Tatum girl. I love you. Back when we knew Scream was getting a chapter, but nothing else abt it in DbD, I was very hopeful it would be her who got a second life as a survivor because they used to give a lot of dead or lost canon characters from horror a second shot. TuT I really liked her.💙💙💙. Hope you enjoy the rest of 2, and 3 and 4 also! It’s a great franchise. It’s the heavy end of horror-comedy, and it has such good focuses on trauma aftermath and living through ptsd and overcoming the oppressiveness and pain of victimhood and being okay again. I would take a bullet for Sidney, any day of the week. :’-) My Giiiiirl AH!!!
