Thinking about all the unfinished amphibia sketches and projects I have lying around on my computer. I could probably share them if anyone's interested-

Also thinking about the Amphibia AU ideas I've never shared that I wanted to write as fanfictions 😔they were so interesting and almost fleshed out, but only in my head because I suck at writing down notes- One of them was a Fairytale AU with Sasha as a dragon, Anne as a knight and Marcy as a princess. Sounds simple but its actually so deep you don't understand. Frogs are kappas, toads are dragons, newts are Unicorns. Andrias propaganda about war with dragons because they stole their wings n they are the rightful owners (pegasus) but its lies and he is just jelly. Dragons can recover from every wound, but when severely damaged turn to stone to recover faster but have a gem inside them instead of a heart that when taken out kills them so they crumble to dust. Andrias experimenting on Marcy (her and Sasha came to the world as babies, Anne as teenager, all 3 as "humans") and telling her it's to "find a cure for her" because she's different, but it's actually him trying to find a way to get wings. etc etc etc And thats not even the actual story stuff that happens with the 3 girls. I am so normal about them.

The other one was a Paranormal/Cryptid AU with Sasha being a cryptid, Marcy a paranormal researcher and Anne, well, she just loves exploring lost places I think jhasdhgasdghas There was so much happening there. Imagine little Marcy getting inspired by scientist Andrias (who is a normal human in this AU) because even though he does science he says he believes in paranormal things because "Wouldn't it be the dream of a scientist to have prove of something that has never been proven real? But that's just an old guy dreaming, I'm happy with the things I do now." haha

as for your second question... my god as u can see i went off on the first one, this is legit the biggest comic i've ever done- i'll do some stuff for the reunion in the void at a later point i prommy 😩✌ it'd be better like that either way. these guys haven't been introduced enough for my tastes for the big relief ending yet

How do you interpret jack and The Boss' relationship?

from what little we know about their relationship dynamic, i was always intrigued by them as a pair. i think during the virtuous mission she cherished those moments she had left before she defected, especially when jack interacts with her over the codec. with her commenting on his tuxedo in a disapproving manner, or on his camouflage (perhaps a lack of.) her maternal nature versus his childish personality juxtapose each other in a way that saddens me. in my opinion that was obviously one of the things that attracted her towards him, which is hardly surprising considering jack has the biggest heart and a charming sense of humour. but as the boss pointed out, she was also attracted to him because he was like her. which in relation to calling him a “child” it’s clear that she’s concerned about how his emotions drive him through his mission (she wishes to prepare him for the inevitable but he’s not ready during the virtuous mission.)

something to mention being that she is teaching jack something despite all of her best efforts to deny it, and in turn teaching him something she had to deal with alone in her own mission with the sorrow, there was no one there to guide her or convince her differently. she is his teacher. she had no choice and he had no choice, there was no control. there’s only the control of who dies or survives to tell the tale between them. but not only is she familiar with how he would’ve been feeling, she’s felt it before and she has to prepare for every scenario that may happen between them. she knows he’s highly influenced by his own feelings in contrast to the mission, and she can’t tell him otherwise. with her maternal nature she can again only guide him, especially under the circumstances of her own mission. as she pointed out, she couldn’t teach him to be a soldier because she could only teach him so much, meaning that he has to figure it out himself. essentially she has to be “cruel to be kind” to get her point across that he is brilliant, even if her influence is sometimes physical it’s more than likely, in my opinion that she wishes for him to see her own methods during a battle. as in the final fight, she compliments him if he manages to perform a certain cqc move or strikes her down. making her a true mentor and a loyal partner to him.

jacks’ confidence is doused in self doubt because of how much he looks up to and respects the boss, which i don’t think i can even blame him for. though nevertheless in her own way of nurturing, i think she wishes to prove to him that he is better than he even realises himself, especially since surrounding characters observe his skills highly. the cobras help in proving that there are many things he can do to physically and mentally endure an enemy who have their own mission against him. essentially she knows herself that he is worthy, but he has to prove it to himself in order to drive that mentality. confidence is a hard aspect of oneself to master, as well as believing that you can complete a mission. getting the perspective of the entire game once you know the story is like a cruel guilty pleasure, she’s rooting for him to complete the mission so much she’s willing to make him hate her, she has to be his enemy to convince him to do the impossible. the subtle help she favours to him (like the fake death pill she shot into his leg in the torture room), and asking her own son (the perfect candidate) to help the man whose going to take his mothers life? if that doesn’t show love and devotion, i don’t know what does.

Why not say something's on my mind if I feel love: wandee and Yoyak share a pair of headphones and sneak flustered glances at each other as the lyrics describe something close to their situation.

But when the moment's right I freeze: Wandee is flustered after Yoyak helps him remove an eyelash from his eye.

What does ancient language sound like? Assuming the text in your comics is translated and they don't actually speak English, does it sound similar to the noises iterators make when you don't have a mark of communication?

yee, it is translated. both dialogue n in-universe text- conlang n stuff can be fun but ultimately i only find it annoying and hindering what i feel like is most important with comics n that is communicating the situations, explaining the world and emotional happenings of the characters to the audience

ANYWAY yeah, i suppose! it sounds smth like that! without the electronic effects, stuff's replaced with a cheap underwater voice effect when the words come out of the Ancients' mouths

i like to think that the Ancients have a quite different throat muscle structure than us and it moves in a manner that would creep a normal human the fuck out

i don't really feel like i can draw it well tho ngl sdlgksjcklds this throat stuff is the case because of their lack of a tongue, so the main working things in their speech are lips, nasal cavity, the Mouth cavity (their cheeks can kinda like... go inwards. english.) and then the wet wet throat which does most of the delicate pronounciation stuff (the stuff up there is very simplified, there's supposed to be a lot going on)

i like to think that their language has tones similar to chinese languages, too, so like these
