“I’m sorry.” Kiyana blinked. “Repeat that again.” Cause she know damn well this nigga didn’t say what she thought he did. When he just sat there, she banged her hands against the table, startling some nearby guests. “Joshua!” He sighed and lifted his head up ,clearing his throat.
“I cheated on you.” He whispered and Kiyana stared at her husband in disbelief. Her husband of 13 years was sitting in her face telling her that he broke his vows to her.
“You joking right?” Because there was no way that he decided to tell her this in the middle of their weekly dinner date. There was no way her husband, the father of her 3 boys, was sitting here telling her that he was cheating on her.
When he didn’t say anything she scoffed. Feeling completely humiliated and like her heart was being ripped out her chest, Kiyana stood up from the table and walked out of the restaurant with Josh hot on her heels.
“Kiyana- wait.” He called out and tried to grab her arm but she pulled away from him.
“Don’t fuckin touch me.” She snapped, smacking his hands away from her. She pulled her phone out of her clutch to call an Uber. There was no way she was getting in the car with him.
“Can you jus’ listen to me please.” He pleaded and she shook her head ‘no’. He kept trying to get her to look at him but she kept averting her eyes. “I’m sorry bae. I ain’t mean to do it.” She scoffed. “I’m serious man, I’m telling you instead of hiding it from you.”
Kiyana looked at him for the first time since they stepped outside and the pain in her eyes broke him. He never meant for any of this to happen.
“Josh you don’t just accidentally sleep with someone else.” She cried, reaching up to angrily wipe the tears off her face.
“I’m so fuckin sorry.” He whispered, his own tears slipping down his cheeks. She ignored him and let out a sigh of relief when her Uber pulled up in front of the restaurant. She said nothing to Josh as she walked away from him and towards the waiting Uber.
She had just opened the door when Josh came up behind her and slammed it shut. “Cancel the ride.” He told the driver through the passenger window.
“Joshua!” She hissed, “Move!” she said, trying to move him out of the way but he wouldn’t budge.
“No Kiyana, we gotta talk this out.” She groaned when the Uber driver got out of the car and walked around towards them.
“Hey man, let her go.” Josh sucked his teeth and glared over at the Uber driver.
“Get the fuck back in your car. And mind yo’ business” The Uber driver went to say something back to Josh but Kiyana stopped him and told him it was okay to cancel the ride. She rolled her eyes as she stomped away from him and towards their car.
“Will you please talk to me?” Josh begged as he came and stood next to her. When she didn’t say anything, he sighed and unlocked the car doors. “Just let me go pay the bill and I'll take you home.” Kiyana still said nothing as she got into the car and slammed the door shut. She let some more tears slip from her eyes as he walked away from the car.
She still was waiting for all of this to be one big cruel joke. She couldn’t believe Josh would actually cheat on her. She tried to remember any signs of him being suspicious but she couldn’t come up with any. She quickly wiped her tears as the driver's door opened and Josh entered the car.
“Key.” He whispered, placing his hand on her thigh. She swiftly moved his hand and pushed her body closer to the door. He sighed and started the car before driving to their house.
Kiyana was happy that her boys were with Talisua for the night. She needed to be absolutely alone. After getting out of the car, she quickly entered the house and went to their bedroom, shutting and locking the door behind her.
She immediately stripped off her dress and stepped into the shower. She felt so stupid being so dressed up after what Josh had told her.
As the water pounded against her skin, Kiyana couldn’t hold back anymore. She broke down, covering her mouth so that her sobs wouldn’t be heard outside the bathroom. She had never felt heartbreak like this before.
She didn’t know how long she stood there, but once the water started to get cold she quickly washed up and got out.
She sighed as she entered the bedroom and saw Josh sitting on the edge of their bed, still dressed and holding his head in his hands.
“Why are you here?” She whispered as she came out of the bathroom already dressed for bed, she was tired and all she wanted to do was sleep.
“I wanna talk to you Key, I wanna work this out.” Kiyanna scoffed.
“There is no working this out. You cheated. It’s over.” Josh’s heart sank to his stomach.
“What? Come on Kiyana. We can work this out. I’m sorry baby.” Kiyana scoffed and walked over to the bed, pulling the covers back.
“What if it was me Joshua? What if it was me coming to tell you that I cheated on you?” She asked, turning to face him. He tried to school his features, but she could see the way his left eye twitched and the way his nostrils flared.
“Yes.” He said gruffly. “I would forgive you cause you’re my wife and it was a mistake.” She scoffed with a smirk and crossed her arms over her chest.
“You’re so full of shit. Deadass? If I fucked some other man, you would be totally okay with it?”
“No, fuck no. Is that what you wanted to hear?!” He yelled. “I’m fuckin’ sorry Kiyana. I fucked up! But you can’t leave me.”
“Fine, you want me to stay?” When Josh nodded she continued. “How long?”
“What?”
“How long were you cheating on me? You think I'm stupid enough to think you only cheated one time?” Josh groaned and put his head back into his hands. “Tell me how long.”
“Fuck.” He muttered. “Four months.” He whispered, looking down at his sneakers.
“Like four months ago or..”
“No, it started four months ago.” She blinked at him, her head tilting to the side as she stared at him.
“Four months,” She whispered, tears streaming down her face. “Kairo just turned two months old.”
“Key i’m so so-”
“You cheated on me while I was pregnant!” She screamed, grabbing their wedding picture off the side table, throwing it at him. He moved out of the way just in time.
“What the fuck!” He yelled back, ducking the alarm clock that she threw next. “Kiyana stop!.”
“Get out!” She screamed, stomping over to him and pushing him towards the door. “Get the fuck out!”
“I’m sorry.”
“Stop saying you’re sorry! You weren’t sorry when you were fucking whoever were you!” She cried. “Just leave, please get out.” She waited until he left to lock the door behind him. She sobbed as she climbed into bed. There was no coming back from this. In the morning, she would call a divorce attorney. Her marriage was over.
HEYY GUYS! I wanted to wait until I posted the last chapter of LOVE, but i'm so excited for this.
Lemme know what y'all think 🫶🏽

(oc) Yandere Hybrid!SnowLeopard x Mafia Female!Reader
❕MDNI❕Nsfw, Canabilism, ETC...🚫
He's a good boy. Always listening to you no matter how fucked up your requests are. You find it fun to see how your pet would do anything for you just to fuck you. He wants to get you pregnant with his cubs and you just love to see him fill you up. He has killed people for you when you ordered him to....But...He kills those people who get too close to you even without you telling him to kill them. He's a sub and a dom that of course you decide that. He loves being the submissive one because he likes being pampered by you. He also loves being the dominant one as she loves to see you crying because of how big and thick his cock is (around 38-39 cm). He whispers sweet things in your ears to stop your tears... You adopted him for 12million, he was the most expensive one from the other hybrids. The seller thought that no one would by him since no one did and the people who did quickly returned him back since he was causing a mess and murders.... But Levi did not trouble you at all... Something about you didn't want him to be a burned on you or the other people who worked for you. Maybe because of the kindness you showered him by thinking that he was just an ordinary pet that was a human too.. Levi saw you being kind to the poor etc so many times without you or your men noticing... He's a smart predator... He is not a pet anymore after he fucked you non stop for 6 hours just because he got jealous when you came back to your mansion drunk one night and told him about the one night stand you just had with another hot mafia..... Back then he was living as your pet, as your cute little pet who would give you affection. That night, you did a big mistake by telling him. As soon as you finished telling him he dragged you to your room and ripped your expensive dress.. "You belong to me only me, master" He said with a frown on his face as he thrusted into your hole for continuous 6 hours. Tears streamed down your cheeks as you begged him to stop. After he finished he left you on the bed and covered your body with a thin blanket and he also poured a glass of water into a cup just incase you needed some water..What a sweet boy... He kissed your forehead before leaving the mansion and heading towards the 'Hot Mafia' who you had sex with..He being him killed the poor guy and his men... Don't worry he cleaned the mess. Now, you would never dare to fuck someone else other than him.
With a happy ending,... After a couple of moths he was in heat and mated with you which ended up getting you pregnant with Triplets, his three cubs!!

summary: You're Lewis teammate and biggest fan
Tags: LW x gn!OC
You can find this in AO3 too
Five months have passed since you’ve become Lewis’s teammate.
They say you should never meet your idol, but in your case, it’s been smooth sailing. Sure, maybe you’ve had some discussions over trivial legal - mostly - moves in racing, and how to forget the time you proclaimed yourself, in a drunken post maiden victory state, his biggest fan, with big sparkly eyes and one too many details, except for one. But so far, meeting your idol has been like meeting an old friend, someone you can picture from memory.
Time brought along Max’s birthday, and the break before the last three races gave the perfect excuse for an over the top party. You were under the impression that Lewis wouldn’t show up, as he was always somewhere else, thus your outfit choice proved incredibly treacherous when the first thing you saw after entering Max’s penthouse was your teammate’s profile. Perfect profile, by the way.
A moment to recolect, you tell yourself. He won’t notice, this doesn’t have to be a big deal. Shit, not even a deal at all. And it better not be, because he’s coming your way.
“You’re late, rookie”
“You should stop calling me rookie already, it’s been months”
“You’re always a rookie in my books” he answers, laughing. You sit next to him.
“I thought you were traveling” you sip your drink, trying to focus on the task at hand.
“You don’t fancy seeing me here?”
You push your weight agains him for a second before answering “Don’t be dumb. I do prefer you in the track were I can beat your ass, but this is nice for a chance”
“Ha! aren’t you cocky. You’re spending way too much time with me.”
------------------------------------
As the moon and drinks went on, your worries started to melt onto the air. There was no time to worry about anything in a place like this, with this incredible ambiance, as you were gossiping in a corner with Max. Two weeks apart came with lots of updates on the finest paddock news.
When Max laughs, moving a little, you caught those eyes. The ones immediatelty shifting to other serious matters. Maybe he was watching? Maybe you’re just very drunk.
Excusing yourself to get some air, you go to the backydard. Strange, no one’s here, with such beauty around to appreciate. So much to be overtaken by the memory of his eyes that seems as permanent as…
“Hey” you startle as a voice calls from behind.
“God, Lewis, you’re gonna kill me one of these days.”
You move a little as his body ask for space to sit, while laughing it off.
“Are you having a good time?”
“Yeah, sure. It’s nice to have a break like this”
He nods, “For sure it’s nice if you’re the birthday boy special person”
You look genuinely confused, and laugh equally as awkward.
“Oh no, I think you’re getting the wrong idea”
He shifts his tone, and his head tilts a litte. “Am I?”
“Uh… yeah, I mean, Max is my friend” you can feel your face growing hotter by the second. What even is this change of air?
He stands, and as subtle as he arrived, he put his hand on your nape. Just his fingerprints, soft as a feather. You can’t help but shiver.
“That’s fine” he breaks the silence, moving his hand in a pattern.
And it hits you. He saw it, didn’t he? You try to say something, buy the subtle touch apparently put you under a spell, compelled only to look at him.
He keeps tracing your tattoo, the one you promised to get if he won his seventh title, back when you were just his fan, and he was just your idol. A nice, delicate 44.
“That’s fine” he repeats, applying the smallest of pressure on the side of your neck “as long as you remember who you belong to.”

[ masterlist ]
“Did you guys see her newest tweet?” There’s a voice off to the right but you’re not paying much attention. The smoke curls around you in a comforting way that has you leaning back on the beanbag and letting out a content groan. You know exactly what they’re talking about, you’re the one who posted the tweet after all. Not that they know that, no one knows that. Not even your best friends, the people that you’ve shared every embarrassing detail of your life with.
“How do you know the account is a woman?” One of those aforementioned best friends speaking up. Mae, the calm to your storm, the one you find yourself relying on more and more these last few weeks. She never left your side, even supported your idea to take that much needed leave of absence from school after he ruined your life.
But the new year is here, the fall semester officially starts in one week and it’s the first day of rush. The weather is cooling off from the blistering summer, the leaves are changing, and you decided to take their lead and change with them. No more wallowing, no more hiding in your apartment while everyone else has a life without you. Your break is done, you kept up your end of the deal with the dean to take your finals when it came time. You passed, thankfully, and that meant you could start your third year of university with a clean slate.
The discussion draws you back in, hearing the argument about who the mysterious twitter account holder could be. The voice, belonging to the boy Mae had invited, continues. “The way they hate him, it has to be an ex.” You want to snort but instead you just shift in the beanbag, wondering if you laid here long enough if it would just swallow you slowly like quicksand. “You had to admit, he’s dated some questionable people in the past. I wouldn’t put it past a few of them to do this.”
You remain silent, best to not say anything in case you come off a little too smug or a little too prideful of that last tweet. Really you’re not the one coming up with most of the tweets, people are sending so many messages to the anonymous twitter account that you’re having a hard time working through them all. Some are good ones, things you schedule to post through the day. Some messages, you can attest, are from some of his more unstable exes. Those you just delete when you get them, deciding not to entertain the possible storm that could create.
“Who’s dated questionable people?” A new voice, one familiar that raises the imaginary hackles on your back. Really if you were a cat you’d be puffed up and hissing at the newcomer, claws swiping at him to leave.
“Your best friend.” The words taste like venom dripping from your tongue as you open your eyes, settling them on Jisung with a sneer. He at least has the decency to shrink away from your glare. He looks startled, as if he wasn’t expecting you to be there at all. Maybe he’s terrified because of the vitriolic tone you used in addressing him. You don’t care, you don’t want him in your safe circle, sucking up the smoke that’s keeping you calm.
“You’re- I-” He stammers, rubbing the back of his neck while looking away from you. “I didn’t know you were going- that you’re here.” So he didn’t expect you to return after his mentioned best friend had broken you so deeply, left you with scars that lingered and barely healed. Some days they were fresh wounds, some days they were scabs that you couldn’t stop picking at. Today it’s a bright pink scar, tender and the slightest brush makes you wince in pain.
“Look like you’ve seen a ghost, Han Jisung.” You level him with your gaze again, watching with a satisfied smirk as he shrinks further away from you. You say his name like a curse, as if it’s the most horrific sounds your lips have shaped.
“Stop.” The singular word draws your look from Jisung to your best friend, catching her eyes and you calm down a little. She presses a hand to your thigh, fingers gripping into your thigh in warning. “Hi, Jisung. Are the other’s here?” She glances around, looking past him in search of those other six familiar faces. You wonder the same thing but she’s always been the softer of you two, the quiet breeze compared to your tempest winds.
“Yeah, yeah. They’re, um, around.” He looks like he wants to be anywhere but here. The others in the circle, the few people you were just talking to and passing the blunt around with have gone silent as they watched the exchange. They all know why you glare at the chipmunk cheeked boy, why you spit venom at him every time you open your mouth. It’s the worst kept secret on campus, how Lee Minho had all but sold out your body as a prank. You don’t like thinking about it but it’s hard not to be reminded when strangers stare at you in pity, or you’re reminded when his friends are around.
“Tell them I say hi,” you say to him, shifting to sit up a little in the beanbag. He takes a step back like he expects you to pounce on him, teeth bared and claws extended. Instead you just smile at him, tight lipped before reaching for the joint that’s passed your way. You turn attention back to your circle of people, clear that your words were meant as dismal. You almost feel bad for the dejected look in Jisung’s face as he walks away.
“Hey.” Mae’s grip on your thigh tightens just slightly, a gesture to grab your attention. She’s looking at you with too inquisitive eyes. “Do you want to go home?” Truthfully, yes, you do; leaving now means that he wins again and you refuse to give that satisfaction. No doubt Jisung has already run back to his group to tell them he saw you. Your suspicions are confirmed when two familiar faces poke around the corner. It reminds you of a cartoon, just the sight of two heads extended past the wall, one on top of the other.
When they spot you, the shorter of the two bolts out from behind the cover of the wall and all but runs to you. Your name is slurred a bit in greeting, his lanky arms wrapping around you before you can protest. You have just enough forethought to pass the joint to Mae before he’s on you.The awkwardness of the beanbag you’ve chosen for the night means he either can crouch to greet you but it wouldn’t be Felix if he did things the normal way. Instead he lays on top of you, face buried into your neck as he hugs you tightly. He might be Minho’s friend but he’s been your sunshine since you met last year.
So you allow his crushing hug. “Nice to see you too, Lix.” You’d hug him back if you could but he’s got your arms in the vice grip he’s calling a hug and they’re trapped at your sides. You resign to your fate, even letting out a soft laugh as he clings to you. You catch a little of what he’s mumbling into your neck, though you do catch how happy he is to see you and that he missed you while you were gone.
The second of the two walks over with his hands shoved into his pockets. You can tell by the way he’s holding back a smile he’s just as happy to see you but his affection is far less physical than Felix. You catch his eyes, giving the best wave you can while still trapped under your sunshine “Hyunjin, hey.” As much as you had wanted to hate them for their association with Minho, it was impossible and you were quick to forgive them for their unfortunate choice in friends. They at least respected you enough not to mention him around you and effectively let you carve out a small part of the dance department that wasn’t tainted by him.
“Ji said he saw you so Felix had to come find you.” Hyunjin offers as a greeting and explanation, reaching down to grab his best friend by the collar of his leather jacket and hoist him off you. “Are you coming back?” He’s never been one to beat around the bush with you, something you respect. “We’ve missed you around the department.”
You feel a warmth in your chest that’s been gone since you left last year. While the leave of absence had given you time to heal, it had also left an emptiness in you that you know was because you were missing such a huge piece of yourself. Dance had always been your safe place, always been your home whenever you needed it. The idea of leaving your apartment had put such a crippling fear into you that you thought you would never be able to return. It had taken months of hard work but you felt okay enough to return, to fall back into the warmth of a dance studio again.
“Mhm,” you offer as confirmation, nodding as well. Their smiles are infectious, eyes crinkling and lifting a dark cloud you hadn’t realized was lingering. In the most dignified way that you could, you stood from the beanbag. “I’ll see you guys later, I need some air.” You looked to Mae who rose with you but gestured at her to stay, you really only intended to slip out the front door for a quick breath of fresh air before coming back.
You part from the circle, patting both Hyunjin and Felix on the arm as you pass, before walking out the front door. It’s a lot more quiet outside on the front lawn. The party wasn’t a rager by any means, more of a too large gathering with slightly loud music and drinks to share. Tame in comparison to some parties you knew would be going on across campus. You had purposely avoided Greek Row, knowing those parties would be exactly that. You hadn’t counted that the people you were also looking to avoid wouldn’t be throwing their own party on the Row.
A handful of people are mingling outside, not one person paying attention to you as you take a seat on the steps. The concrete is chilly underneath you, coupled with the cooler night air and it sends a shiver through your body. The calm out here has done exactly what you wanted, cooled down your temper and brought your beating anxiety to a manageable level. Seeing Jisung had done more than you wanted to openly admit to yourself, knowing that behind the producer lurks the reason for your anxiety. You needed to flee before you caught eyes with the rest of the group.
You’re unsure how long you’ve been sitting out here, you’re only vaguely aware of people coming and going from their own breaks of the party. The cold metal of the railing pressed into your forehead is comfortable, eyes closing a bit as you relax into the iron banister. The music from the house raises in volume and then quiets again, your assumption being that when someone opens the door and closes it again. You assume you haven’t been out here long because Mae has not come to find you but you wonder if that’s wrong too as a jacket settles over your shoulders.
The smell is familiar and warm, woodsy and deep and full of memories that you can’t seem to bring to the surface no matter how hard you try. You know the smell, you can’t figure out why you do, but it brings a sort of comfort nonetheless that has you pulling the jacket tighter around your shoulders and burying your nose into the collar. The music is loud and then muffled once again and you’re left alone outside with your new jacket and your fuzzy thoughts.
Only when your mouth feels a little too dry and your ass has gone numb from sitting on the cold steps, you finally wander back into the party. Mae’s moved from the spot you left her in and you’ve got enough sense to text her to check on her. A quick exchange, making sure she’s okay. Confirmation from your roommate tells you that she’s alright and you don’t need to wait for her if you want to go home. A simple thumbs up emoji on the message and a thanks for the jacket are sent before closing your phone. You don’t see her confused reply, asking what jacket since she didn’t give you anything.
A red cup pulled from the stack and run under the tap for a drink of water is your destination. The slightly earthy taste from the water is a comfort, reminding you of warm weather back home and spending sweltering days in ponds and lakes to cool off.
Your arms slide through the sleeves of the jacket, settling into the warmth of its soft fabric. The sleeves extend just a little past your fingers, you realize. Mae must have grabbed it from her date, you think, raising the cuff to your nose to practically nuzzle into the hem. It’s a soft jacket and you don’t want to give it back and you wonder if you can convince her to let you keep it as a roommate tax for letting her invite a date to what was meant to be a girl’s night out. Not that you can really blame her, you guess. You’ve spent nearly every waking minute together and most nights cuddled in her bed instead of your own. The nights are the worst, that’s when the anxiety and the fears settle in like they’re meant to call your chest home.
Without your roommate to wait on, you don’t see the point in staying at the party much longer. The place is still as lively as it was before but your social battery is nearing zero quickly and the call of your bed is strong. You won’t admit that the sight of that group has ruined your night, the good mood you were clinging to so desperately has gone with it. Your phone is back in your hand, a quick text to the house chat to let them know you’re headed home and don’t worry about being quiet when they all arrive at their own times.
Lucy is the first to reply, sending a simple blue heart emoji. It makes you smile and you’re shoving your phone back into your pocket while using your other hand to pat down for the key to your apartment.
“Giving yourself a feel because no one else will?”
The voice makes your blood boil immediately, smiling slipping from your face as you turn to look at Minho. He leans against the island counter in the middle of the kitchen. Silently cursing your luck, you just roll your eyes and go to walk away but a tug on the hood of your jacket halts your steps. An extremely undignified sound escapes at the yank of the hood and you’re flailing backwards for a second until a hand presses to the middle of your back to halt your fall.
“Falling for me?” He grins at you when you turn to face him.
“Don’t fucking touch me,” you snap at him while shoving his hand off you roughly. You should have guessed Minho would show up once Jisung had spotted you, you should have made your escape then and never come back into the house. Now you’re living with the consequence of your decision to stay instead of just running then, all because you didn’t want to give him the satisfaction that even the idea of him sends you in the opposite direction.
His hands come up and make a gesture intended to placate the anger thrown his way. “Sorry.” Somehow you doubt his apology given that it’s coupled with that stupid, ugly smirk of his. “Heard you were back.” There’s a slightly awkward pause when you choose not to reply, arms crossing over your chest. A facial expression meant to tell him to go on or shut up settles over your face. “Can’t wait to see your introduction performance this year. Break a leg.” You choose to believe he’s mocking you, in no way do you trust his words to be sincere at all. It’s Lee Minho, he doesn’t know how to be sincere.
Eyes narrow as your stare levels on him, mouth opening to say something nasty in retort. The words die in your throat when a gentle hand clamps over your lips and pulls you backwards by your wrist. You watch as Minho is swallowed by the crowd as you’re dragged out of the kitchen and back into the cool air. Outside smells fresh and you wonder if there might be a storm tonight. Part of you hopes there might be, as a way to wash away everything tonight.
“Go home.” The words are barked at you. Oh right, someone dragged you here. Yanking your arm from their grip, rounding to look at them with the insult that was primed for Minho now ready to be flung toward your captor. His glare makes you stop, shrinking back just a little before remembering you’re not afraid of Christopher Bahng.
“I don’t remember you being in charge of my life.” Shoulders square, taking a step to stand toe to toe with him. Damn, did he get wider? You don’t remember him being quite so filled out. “And the bastard approached me first.” You note how his jaw twitches as he clenches his teeth when you argue with him, when you step closer and won’t back down from him. There’s that stupid voice in the back of your head to swing, that you could take him easily.
“Be the bigger person and go home, Cherry.” His voice is much softer but the look on his face doesn’t change. Your lips purse however at the nickname, sucking on your teeth in annoyance of his casual use of that name. He was the one who came up with it after all, him and Minho had adopted that name for you when you were much younger. A way to tease you for always wanting cherry flavored everything- popsicles to hard candies and everything in between. The name tugs at your heart just a little. Traitorous organ.
“Why do I have to be the bigger person?” Your refusal to back down doesn’t seem to bring a surprise, in fact he seems to have expected it. Once again he grabs you with that large hand, wrapping around your bicep and dragging you away from the house into the street.
“Still live at the same place? I’ll walk you home.”
“I don’t need a fucking escort, Chris.” You shrug his hold off. “Touch me again and I’ll break your hand. Make it hard to perform your live introduction piece with a shattered hand I bet.” There was once a time these threats would never have passed your lips in his direction, never at him. Only ever in his defense, only ever to protect those you cared about. Once upon a time, in a galaxy far far away. Some bullshit like that.
“I’ll make sure Mae gets home safe but you need to go, okay? Just- please.” He almost seems.. desperate? You two are standing in the dark of the street, the street lights too spaced out to illuminate your faces. You can only assume his tone, unable to see the look on his face. If it was light you would see that his eyes are soft, pleading with you to just once listen to him. To take his warning and to go home.
“Awa’ an bile yer heid,” you mutter as you turn away from him and start walking to the bus in order to get back to your apartment. His concern leaves you lost for words, lost for a better retort so you just drop the first dismal you can come up with.
“Speak fucking English!” Chan shouts after you, laughing a bit. You don’t risk looking back, knowing you’d find him watching you with that smile. That smile and those stupidly adorable dimples of his. You raise a hand, sending him a single finger salute without looking back at him. Now that you’re truly alone out here, it feels colder as you walk to the bus stop. Pulling the jacket tighter around your middle, pulling the sleeves down further to hide your fingers from the chilled wind.
Just as you near the bus stop the first raindrop of the autumn season hits your cheek.
・❥・
The morning is crisp after last night’s storm but the clouds have parted for the time. By the time you’re holding your second cup of coffee that morning, your other roommates have joined you out on the back patio in varying degrees of wakefulness. Lucy grumbles something and pulls the mug from your hands, much to your protest, and curls back in her lawnchair with your stolen mug.
“You came home early last night.” She breaks the settled silence, looking over at you.
“Aye, I was wanting to go to bed so my best friend could steal my coffee in the morning.” You’re attempting to reach for your coffee but she bounds out of the chair far faster than someone half awake should be able to. “Chris basically kicked me out.”
“Wait, kicked you out? I thought you weren’t going to Greek parties?” Elsie turns from where she was smoking and smushes the half smoked cigarette under her boot. “You know, to avoid him and his satanic best friend.”
“We didn’t go to the Row.” Mae comes to defense quickly, poking her head up from your lap, eyes opening for the first time since settling in on top of you. “They were there, not our fault. Jisung saw us first and then ran away to spread the news as quickly as he could.”
“That tiny chipmunk bastard can’t keep a single thing to himself, can he?” Elsie rolls her eyes, dropping into Lucy’s now abandoned chair. “Has to play Minho’s ever loyal bitch- ow.” Lucy’s fist remains on top of Elsie’s head where she’d knocked her knuckles into her sister’s head in warning. “Sorry. Loyal pet- fucking ow.” Elsie reaches up to swat at the other’s hand.
“Basically Minho was being Minho, trying to start something and Chris came to the rescue as always. He dragged me out of the house and told me to go home. Basically ordered me, the fucking bastard.”
“I love when you get angry and your accent is so thick I can barely understand you. Really love the mental workout this morning.” Mae loves to tease the three of you for your accents, according to her they make you almost unable to be understood when speaking English around the house. She often jokes that learning to speak Scots is now her third language.
“Lap privileges revoked.” You shift so her head is no longer in your lap, using the opportunity to stand as well. “I need to head to the studio anyway, finish working on this routine for the introductory performance next week.”
“Lu already packed you lunch. It’s in the fridge and your favorite water bottle is in the freezer to take with you too.” Elsie is quick to inform you with a grin. Lucy beams from where she’s sitting, eyes still closed as she drinks (your) her coffee.
“I’ll come with I need to finish mine,” Mae says between struggling yawns before heading to your shared room to get ready. When you tell her you’ll meet her outside she sends you a thumbs up over her head in acknowledgement.
・❥・
“So whose jacket did you take home last night? I’ve never seen that one.” That same jacket that is thrown over one of the chairs in the corner with your bag. Your head lifts to follow her accusatory finger before dropping back down, the dull thud of your head hitting hardwood sounding a lot louder in the empty studio space than reality.
“I thought you gave it to me last night. When I went out to get air.”
“Nope.” She pops the ‘p’ on the word. “Did you just steal a jacket?”
“Yah! I don’t just steal things. It was given to me, thank you very much.”
A contemplative hum through closed lips but she doesn’t say anything more. You can almost see the cogs turning in her mind and you want to ask what she’s thinking but the subject is changed quickly.
“How are you feeling about the dance?” She watches you in the ceiling to floor mirrors before turning to actually face you. Your head rolls to the side, looking at her now instead of staring up at the ceiling.
“Nervous. Director Yun gave me some really great advice and feedback after looking at my taped final. I don’t know, I’m really outside of my comfort zone here- but that’s the whole point right? I’m not here to perfect what I already know, I want to learn where I’m weak. How else can I be a big time choreographer if all I can do is a pirouette and a chassé.”
“You’re not doing ballet this year?” A new voice chimes into the conversation and you swear your eyes might just roll hard enough to fall out of your head. It would be far more preferable than this conversation. “So the old dog does know more than one trick.”
“We’re the same fucking age, Minho.” You're propped up on your elbows now, eyes narrowed as he stands in the doorway. He’s not alone of course, you note. He’s never alone. You wonder if he’s still holding the fear of being alone, that at the end of everything he’ll just be as lonely as he was before.
“You didn’t answer my question.”
“And I’m not going to.” Moving to sit up, you reach for the discarded canvas pirouette slips. “Leave so I can practice.”
“No.” You don’t even need to look at him to know that stupid smirk is there.
“No? The fuck do you mean no?” He ignores your question and walks in, Chan following behind. You watch the both of them with hands on hips before glancing back at Mae. The confusion and fury is written all over your face but the two newcomers are either choosing to ignore it or just don’t see it. You’d bet your life savings that it’s the former.
“You’re not the only person needing to practice for the introduction performance.” As if that is meant to explain why he’s trying to kick you out of the room you’ve been using. His dance bag drops on top of yours. “I’ll help you and then you can leave so I can use the room.”
“I don’t need your help.” You hate how it comes out more like a question. Stomping over, you grab his bag and shove it back at him. “The fuck do you have in there? Bricks? The fuck it’s so heavy for.” You attempt to shove him and his bag out the door but the canvas on your feet means you just end up sliding a little. Real dignified.
“You said you weren’t doing ballet this year for your dance. Seriously, let me help.” Wow, he almost sounds genuine. Which only makes you far more suspicious. Eyes narrow as he watches you, standing in silence that’s too heavy and too tense. The other two in the room don’t say anything, afraid of leaving with bite marks should they get between the two fighting cats.
“Fine,” you snap, dropping his bag and watching with pride as he fumbles it a little as he wasn’t really holding it. You toss a look to Mae that says more than you could voice right now. Surprisingly she’s already grabbed a couple chairs off the stack, presumably with Chan’s help, and sitting shoulder to shoulder with him. A cheerful thumbs up from her settles the butterflies you didn’t notice had taken up residence in your gut.
Minho is at your side in a beat, his stuff placed back on top of yours. A very are-you-for-real? look in his direction that he just gives you a smile, bunny teeth and all. Mae’s been in charge of the music and you give her a look through the mirror to start it again. On the count you step out into your first move and get lost again in the feeling of your body moving to the music. All you see is yourself in the mirror, critical of every single twitch of muscle and wrinkle of skin. You catch Minho’s eyes in the mirror and you can’t look away.
The intensity in his eyes is captivating, watching every small step and maneuver you put your body through. You’ve seen that look on his face before, years ago, when he would watch you practice your ballet routines or when he was helping with taekwondo. It’s somehow comforting to see him tracking your hands, your feet, watching how you throw your body through the air as if you’re made of a feather instead of a human body.
You can’t take your eyes off him watching you. His eyes meet yours in the mirror. All you can see is him. All he can pay attention to is you.
What you two don’t see is Chan and Mae shaking hands over a friendly bet and sharing knowing smiles.

Moments in Between - Dog
Characters: Jason Todd x fem!oc
Rating and warnings: G, attempted mugging.
Word Count: 1,331
Summary: Red Hood saves Andy from a mugging, from the perspective of her dog.
Masterlist
Marlow, the 150 pound Irish Wolfhound, walked dutifully at Andy’s side through Crime Alley. He was smelling their way home.
Andy had taken them out for dinner. It was someplace new, filled with very exciting smells and nice people who gave him many pats and told him he was a good boy. He didn’t get to inspect Andy’s food, because they brought out something dried and meaty for him to chew on, and by the time he was done she had finished. He didn’t know how that kept happening.
Afterwards they walked to the bus stop.
Marlow didn’t like the bus. It made too many noises and rumbles, the smells were bad, and it stopped and started without warning.
No bus came. Andy started to become nervous. There were a few other people walking past as the night got darker. The street lights turned on, sickly yellow and hissing. Andy looked around, and tapped her fingers against her leg. She started to smell like stress. Marlow stood up, anxious on her behalf.
He wished the bus would come already so Andy would feel better. He was tough, he could put up with the rumbles.
The night grew darker, and the roads emptier. Less people walked past.
The bus did not come.
Andy sighed. “Let’s go.”
She tugged lightly at his leash as she turned and walked along the pavement.
Marlow trotted to walk slightly in front of her, just in case. Andy was smart and the best person, but her eyes weren’t very good, and her nose was entirely broken. She would walk right into trouble if he didn’t say anything.
The wind sighed through the dirty streets, giving him the full report on who had come through here today. That nice rottweiler had gone for a walk this way at lunch time but was gone now. A stressed german shepherd who didn’t belong had peed on the fire hydrant. Marlow left his own mark over it.
It was a long walk home, past all sorts of people Marlow didn’t like. Men especially. Marlow didn’t trust the men. Too many of them looked at Andy and smiled. Then they looked at him, and stopped smiling. Good. Look at someone else. No smiling.
Some of the streetlights didn’t work here, and many shops were boarded up. There were still some people out selling things but they didn’t want to buy them.
One of the nice ladies on the corner said hello to Andy. That was okay. They smelled like horrible too-strong flowers and alcohol, and sometimes worse things, but they were mostly safe. The men who floated around them were not.
One of the younger ladies crooned at him and tried to give him pets.
He wasn’t going to get distracted. He pulled against the lead as he kept walking, the harness firm around his shoulders. They weren’t home yet. No stopping.
The roads got emptier.
Andy’s heeled ankle boots tapped too loud against the pavement. She pulled her jacket tight around herself.
They approached their street. Two more turns and they would be home. In the daytime they usually cut through an alleyway, but when it was dark they would stay on the main road.
The wind brought him the scent of three people standing on the side of the road a little beyond the alley, right where their turn was. They smelled sour. Old vomit, drying blood. Desperation. They were watching them approach.
Andy kept her head down. Her fear spiked.
They walked past the alley. Marlow stopped, and Andy bumped into his backside.
Red Hat friend! He was sitting in the dark on top of a dumpster. He wasn’t moving and the narrow alley was so dark even Marlow struggled to see him, but he smelled him loud and clear.
Marlow tried to go that way, but Andy pulled on his leash.
“Come on,” she hissed.
He whined.
Red Hat was safe. Even though he was very big and sometimes smelled like blood, Andy was never afraid around him. He brought dinner home last week when Andy was sad, and took Marlow out for very exciting runs. Never with the hat on, though. He gave excellent pats. Sometimes, Marlow even let him look after Andy while he was sleeping.
Andy walked faster past the entry of the alley. She didn’t even say hello.
Marlow huffed and trotted with her. He didn’t like this. Red Hat watched them go by.
The three on the street smelled worse the closer they got.
Marlow didn’t like this. Two of the three were leaning against the wall, and all openly looking at them. Andy held Marlow’s leash very short so he was pressed up against her side, between them and her.
They got close enough to try and pass on the side of the road, Andy with her head down and shoulders hunched. The three of them stepped out to block the sidewalk.
Marlow growled.
The strangers said something, voice low and sharp.
Andy was terrified.
Marlow barked, furious.
Andy yanked on his leash and snapped a command to heel, but she was so scared and they were bad, bad, bad. He didn’t want to back down.
The people in front of him stank of fear and desperation. Good! They should be scared! Marlow was angry!
There was a click in front of him, and one of them pointed something shiny at Marlow.
There was another click behind them, and a crunchy metal voice interrupted.
Red Hat friend.
He was angry too. He said something, numbers. Counting down.
The three turned and bolted.
Marlow chase!
They disappeared down the road, no! Catch them, bite them, tear them to bits!
His leash pulled hard, and he reared up on his back legs then dropped back down. No, no chase, he had to look after Andy.
He swung around and ran back. He gave everyone a sniff. Andy was breathing hard, one hand pressed flat to her chest. Marlow licked it. She gave a nervous laugh and absently scratched behind his ear.
His leash was in Red Hat’s hand, which explained why Marlow hadn’t dragged Andy off her feet when he ran. He forgot sometimes how little she was. Not very good at running. The two humans were standing strangely far apart.
Red Hat smelled scared too now. He was upset and his leg was hurting. Marlow trotted over to say hello and gave him some friendly licks. His gloves tasted bad, but his jacket was smooth and tasty.
The crunchy metal voice didn’t stop talking to Andy. He stood like he wanted to go to her, to check she was okay. He didn’t. Andy reached out just enough to get the leash back and then retreated. She smelled embarrassed, and interested in that way she sometimes did around Red Hat. She didn’t get any closer.
Red Hat didn’t give any pats. He tried to push Marlow’s head away.
First no chasing and now no pats? Oh dear. Marlow gave him another lick to comfort him then bumped his head against his hand.
His voice stopped, cutting off a laugh. He patted Marlow on the head.
“Good boy.”
Yes, he knew.
“Get your Ma home safe. Off you go.”
Andy pulled him back and walked away hurriedly.
Red Hat wasn’t coming home?
Marlow, with his head turned while trotting to keep up, saw him sneak back into the alley. Why wasn’t he coming home? Where Marlow could keep them all safe?
Andy guided him on a short leash the rest of the way home. The bad people were gone, the smell trailing off down the wrong road. Andy looked back over her shoulder every now and again, still vigilant. The wind curled over the buildings. Red Hat was standing up on top of the roof in the opposite direction, smelling vaguely worried. Marlow barked at him. He disappeared back out of view before Andy could see him.
Marlow huffed.
Everyone was being very silly tonight.

Bully twist au v.s reader (The secret friend)
《Summary》: Your secret friend is a very intresting person, but through them you had connections and you will be forever grateful.
《Note》: Includes the first meeting, the friends participating in some of the stories, oc form.
The past:
You really didn't remember how you met her. They were probably a vigilante and their moral code was a bit through the drain, but they were a powerful ally.
Unlike you, she remembered your first meeting quite well.
You roamed around the big hall, deciding that taking a break from the currently ongoing event was a good idea. You sighed, the Vdc hadn't went well last time and because this event was similar you were scared of everything going down the drain.
"Seriously Neige, if you get yourself in trouble again!" A voice scoffed. It belonged to a tall figure with brown-red hair. They were hovering over Neige, a student from last years event and enemy to Vil, or so you heard.
"Sorry Am-chan! I can't promise anything, no matter how hard you try to threaten me!" The ravenette giggles and the figure scoffed. Upon further inspection they looked like they had jumped out of a wild western.
"Well, I'd prefer to be in the shadows for now dwarf! Wich means no unnecessary trouble!" You sighed turning away, this didn't seem like an important exchange.
-
"Ne, Koebi-chan?" Floyd calls out and you run. You were so scared, his smile still haunting you. Out of breath you decide to take a sharp turn the the left into a slightly darker hallway.
You run into another person, causing you to almost stubble. Looking up at the green greyish eyes you recognise them as the person that had talked with Neige. You hear Floyd's voice and you look at the person, realising you only had one chance.
"Please hide me! I'll even treat you a coffee just please hide me!" You cry out and the person seems conflicted, before sighing and pulling you into a room.
"Okay, you should be safe here and now tell me just what is going on?" You feel hesitant at first as you didn't know the person in front of you, but their kind eyes told you that they could be trusted.
"He is one of my bullies." Is the only thing you can say before starting to cry. The person in front of you rubs over your head in a comforting manner.
"You should consider yourself lucky, I rarely see humans outrun an eel." The person smiles.
"I am Amanda Slim and you are?" The girl reaches her hand towards you and you hesitantly shake it. The brown haired girl nods, listening to your introduction.
"Is there a reason why they bully you?" Amanda asks, before clearing her throat upon seeing your shocked face. "You don't have to tell me-" you cut her off before she can continue.
"I am magic less." You admit, expecting Amanda to laugh at you like everyone else did once they found out. You look up to that she had furrowed her brows.
"That's no reason to bully someone. I have three magicless cousins, they also don't have it easy. I guess that's the problem in a world like Twisted Wonderland." Amanda sighs before looking at you.
"If you want you can meet them! They aren't the brightest of the bunch but they are very friendly and I feel bad about leaving you here!" You nod out of suprise, taking Amanda's hand.
Little did you know this would be a start of a great friendship.

Gender: female
Twisted from: Alemeda Slim (home on ranch)
Unique magic: The special song. She can use her magic only with an instrument, as her voice alone isn't powerful enough. It is kinda similar to the rat catcher, causing the people and animals that hear her do hypnotized dances. During that phase she can give a command per song and everytime the person hears something similar to that sound they follow the command.
Looks: Long red brownish hair, skin with a red undertone, greenish grey eyes, muscular build, tall (190 meters tall, that is probable 6 feet 2????)
Personality: Secretive, loud, flashy, openminded, stubborn, manipulative, calculative, obsessive.
Backstory: She is the daughter of a sheriff, he died the same goes for his brother. Because the mother of her cousins was an alcoholic she fought for custody of them. Amanda's mother was against that, even downing Amanda during a big fight. In order to get the money she needed in court, she started doing illegal business, especially deliveries and fraud.
The mother of her cousins gave up fighting for custody after finding out her children were magic less leaving them in Amanda's care. All four of them live a good life together now.
Relationships:
Neige: She gets hired as Neiges undercover bodyguard after he was almost poisoned. Amanda is secretive and has the ability to disappear out of the sudden wich was helpful for him. Together they are gossip girls.
Reader: You both became good friends after a while. She was the connection to the outside world you needed and you occasionally gave her inside infos on the collage. (Crowley should really stop making you do so many things!)
Here is a picture:
I struggled with her cause she didn't want to look muscular, so here is she without muscles.
(Also I treated you all a lil spoiler)
If you want to know more about her or even a love intrest for a oneshot, tell me!

First Blood
This work is inspired by the spooky season. The OC of Lilith Rose Shelby is my own. The character of Scarlet Shelby belongs to @zablife. I hope you're not offended that I included her. She inspired me with her Shelby energy and in addition you inspired me to write something of my own an post it. So @zablife this is for you, Lee. Hope you like it.
TW: Violence. Domestic Abuse. Lilith is a child for most of this story.
It was true of The Shelby clan that they produced more demons than angels. At least, that was the myth gossiped by the priest and the locals down watery lane. At the age of six Lilith hadn’t really understood why that might have been a bad thing, she just marvelled how that seemed to link them closer to God than most other families. Besides there was only one real demon in that family. Lilith was four when she’d learned not to trust her father. Five when she learned to fear him. And it was only a matter of time before she learned to despise him. Arthur Shelby Sr. was a dreadful human being, a despicable father, and an utter bastard. She’d learned she’d receive no love from him only on her last birthday when he’d announced she’d disappointed him by not being a boy. Naturally, she impaled a fork into his hand and when he’d raised his fist to beat her, Polly had held a knife to his throat. The look on the old weasel’s face had been the best birthday gift her aunt could have got her. Of all the children he had spawned, Arthur seemed to hate his youngest daughter the most. Lilith had been trained by Polly and her mother, as all the other Shelby siblings had been, to avoid their father when he was at home. She’d never known why her mother loved him so much.
Lilith adored her mother. Anna Shelby was the beauty of small health. She was a gypsy princess of Irish and Russian descent. She was a songbird with a sensitive heart…and the gift. Some whispered she’d been granted it by the devil, who had taken her for his mistress, in recent years. Polly had scoffed when she’d heard Ada repeat what she’d heard….and yet, Polly wouldn’t meet Lilith’s curious gaze. Anna had met and settled down with Arthur Shelby Sr. when her family had settled close to Birmingham. From what Lilith had gathered, her parents' romance had been idyllic, a fairy tale. And so here she was, two years later at the age of eight, sitting in the kitchen listening to her father shout at her mother and she found herself wandering where it had all gone wrong for the two of them. Polly had gone to the shop and she’d taken Finn. Everyone else had been out of the house when Arthur Sr. had returned to the house from wherever the fuck he'd been. Lilith was the first one back from school, she’d snook in when she’d heard her father swearing and slurring his words in the sitting room. She stared at his jacket in front of her, draped over another chair. Her nose wrinkled as the stench of alcohol assaulted her. Lilith frowned, gritting her teeth when she heard her mother, normally calm and softly spoken, raise her voice. The door was closed, so she couldn’t hear her clearly. Not that it mattered. Arthur’s voice rose above her in volume seconds later and then she heard Anna begin to cry. The sound pulled on Lilith’s heartstrings and tugged at her tear ducts. She slid off the chair and approached the sitting room.
If daddy wants to shout at someone, he can shout at me.
But as she grasped the handle and turned it slightly, she hesitated. He didn’t know she was there, neither of them did. She could sneak out and fetch Tommy. Her eyes lit up at the prospect of her favorite big brother breaking her father’s wrist…or face. Either would be fine. Yes, that would do, he could pick on someone his own size. Someone who wasn’t frightened of him. Lilith turned and ran to fetch Tommy. She got as far as the back door when she heard it. The sound of her mother falling. She froze, shivering all over. Lilith wasn’t sure what she’d heard until she returned to the sitting room door, her feet having taken her there involuntarily. She stood at the crack in the door, peeping through at her mother. Anna was on the floor, clutching her head from where she’d bashed it on the chair leg. Arthur stood over her, laughing silently at her with his cruel mean eyes.
“Arthur, please. Please, Arthur. I’m sorry I shouted, I won’t do it again. Please, Arthur. No. No. Stop, No! Please!”
Anna’s quiet pleading, her soft, heartbroken begging dissolved into sobs and cries of pain as Arthur descended upon her with his fists. Anna did her best to fend him off, but he was so much stronger than her. Lilith watched mouth agape in horror and eyes streaming with tears as her mother submitted herself to the torture and curled up as best as she could to protect herself.
How long had this been happening? All of her life?
Lilith had never questioned it when her father had tried to hurt her. As far as she was aware it was customary for all fathers to beat their children when they’d disobeyed or angered them. She’d never thought for a second that he’d hurt her mother though. Not when Anna doted on him. The only person in the world capable of loving him…and he treated her like that.
Anna released a loud wail as Arthur pulled her hair back and smacked her hard on the mouth. Lilith, unable to stand her mother’s sobs any longer nor the sound of Arthur’s flesh impacting violently against Anna’s delicate figure, sprinted to the kitchen, desperate to do something, anything to help her mother. Climbing up on Tommy’s chair, she pulled open one of the draws and picked it up. The kitchen knife was heavy in her hand, weighing her delicate little arm down. But she held it firm, hopping back down off the counter and landing silently…not that her father would have heard her over his own shouts. Lilith watched him, hulking over her mother like some kind of monstrous animal, drunk and cruel as ever he could be.
“Mad bitch.” He called Anna. She didn’t deserve that.
Mummy, how can you love him?
Something cold and angry in Lilith snapped and hissed angrily inside her. It was vicious and crimson and she swallowed the venom it offered her with determination. Lilith didn’t love him. That was something she was certain of as she stepped into the sitting room, approaching him from behind, quiet as she could be so he didn’t hear her. The blade glinted in the sunlight as she sprang at him from behind. Arthur Sr. Yelped out in agony as the sharp blade sank into his thigh. It heightened to a scream as Lilith ripped it out and plunged it back into his knee. She delighted in the noise he made, pleased that he was the one making it instead of Anna. The last thing Lilith registered before the bloodlust descended and the noise fell away was the sound of metal slicing through bone.
“GET!” His knee buckled as she pulled the blade out once again. Lilith continued her assault mercilessly as she tore at him with the knife. “OFF!” His calf, his thigh again, his other leg, his foot, his forearm, his shoulder. “MY!” Nothing else mattered except the look of utter horror on his ugly twisted features. “MUMMY!” He tried to grab at her once but she was fast and small, easily blocking his arms. “YOU!” The sharp end of the knife went through his palm and his breath hitched, eyes widening when she yanked it back out. “MONSTER!” She hoped it was as painful as it looked. She was so numb, so far gone that she didn’t hear the door open. She didn’t see them all rushing in. She didn’t see Polly gasp, her hands cupping her mouth, eyes wide. the shopping in her hands crashing loudly to the floor. She didn’t see Finn, flinching back behind Polly’s skirts eyes scrunched closed. She didn’t hear John swear or Scarlet drop her nursing books. She didn’t feel the vibration of them clunking to the floor. She didn’t see Ada rush to her mother and wrapping a blanket around her shoulders. She didn’t hear Arthur yelling for her to stop. She didn’t see Tommy look between the three of them, putting two and two together. What a sight she must have been for them. An eight-year-old girl splattered from head to toe in her father’s blood.
In the end, it was Anna’s voice that cut through the bloodlust.
“Lily! Lily, darling stop! Please! Stop! You’ll kill him.” Anna cried, pushing herself up off the floor.
“WHAT DOES IT MATTER?” Lilith embedded the knife into his other knee with a sickening crunch. “HE HURT YOU!” Arthur Sr. squealed like a pig. Ripping it out once more she raised her blade again when a strong hand gripped her wrist until her grip loosened and the blade fell, clattering to the floor. She was lifted with ease away from her father and spun until she was face to face with Tommy as he shielded her view of him. She’d been so lost in the moment that she hadn’t heard them come in. All of them. Polly picked the knife up off the floor and wiped it with her skirt. Lilith looked Tommy in the eyes. Those big ocean-blue eyes were wide with utter terror as he checked her over.
“Are you hurt, Lily petal?” He asked urgently. The numbness melted away. The damn broke and emotion flooded in.
“I’m not sorry Tommy! I’m not sorry!” She wailed. “He was hitting mummy! He deserved it!” Her voice cracked and her breath stuttered as she burrowed her head into his neck. Tommy embraced her without a second thought, rocking her back and forth in as calming a manner as he could think.
Lilith’s accusations rang out into the shell-shocked room. Polly was the first to take action.
“Get up!” She snapped at her brother. His angry little eyes glowered back at her in spite of the pain rocketing through him. Polly sighed, irritated. “Scarlet, Arthur, help your father onto the settee. Ada grab a sheet to cover it with. Scarlet, I want you to help me sew him up. John, go and bribe Doctor Clarkson to come and help. Anna,” She paused, looking at her good sister. She softened instantly seeing the bruises already forming on her melancholic face. “Are you badly hurt?” Anna parted her lips, ready to speak when Lilith wriggled and vaulted out of Tommy’s hold, running to her mother.
“I’m sorry, mummy! I’m sorry! Please don’t be angry with me.” Lilith wailed. Anna’s eyes welled with tears. She pulled her youngest daughter into her arms and embraced her tightly.
“I’m not angry.” Her voice wobbled. “I’ll never be angry with you. Only sad. You protected me. You shouldn’t have had to do that, petal.” Ada returned, covering the settee with a spare old bedsheet. Arthur Sr. wheezed as Arthur and a rather reluctant Scarlet helped him up (with minimal care on her part) and to the settee. He opened his mouth and Scarlet punched one of his injuries hard. It bloomed red and he hissed in pain.
“You say a word and I’ll make sure you’re hurting more than you are already!” She snapped.
“Don’t be harsh, Scar, he’s our dad. Where’s that bedside manner you were telling us about?” Arthur Jr. asked, trying to ease the tension.
“He doesn’t fucking deserve it, Arthur.” She shot him a sharp look. Before looking at Tommy. “You’ll have to help Arthur take Dad’s trousers off.” Her older brother scowled at the prospect but stalked over nonetheless. The door flung open once again as John returned, very much out of breath. He nearly doubled over with exhaustion. Behind him waddled in, Doctor Clarkson, flushed and barely upright himself. The old doctor had just righted himself when his eyes widened and his mouth fell open as he looked at his patient.
“Can you fix ‘im?” Polly asked, eyes sharp on the old man. Doctor Clarkson’s resemblance to a deer in headlights heightened as his eyes darted around the room. The empathy seeped back into them when he caught sight of Anna and Lilith, bruised and bloody. He straightened and stepped forward.
“Let me look at him.”
“It would be preferable if he didn’t have to go to a hospital.” Tommy spoke calmly. “People will talk.” Doctor Clarkson approached Arthur Sr. and carefully examined his injuries. The look of concern on his elderly face deepened.
“You’re lucky. They’re not too deep, for the most part, easy enough to handle.” The doctor removed his jacket and rolled up his sleeves.
“Scarlet and I can help.” Polly suggested. The doctor nodded.
“That would be sufficient.” He opened his physician’s bag, pulling out what he needed. “What worries me are these.” He pointed at Arthur’s knees, hand and ankle. “The knife has penetrated bone.” He paused, lowering his voice for only Polly to hear. “I take it the child was defending her mother?” Polly nodded. “She did a thorough job.” He smiled at her. “He’ll need a hospital.”
“No!” Tommy’s deep voice cut through the conversation. “He’s got a big mouth, he’ll talk.”
“And what will he say, Mr. Shelby? That his eight-year-old daughter did this to him?”
“He has a point.” John spoke up. “No one would believe him.”
“Not only does it sound far-fetched.” Ada sat down and locked eyes with her father. She maintained the stare. “Think of the humiliation.”
“He doesn’t have to say it was Lily. He could say it was any of us.”
“No Tom!” Arthur looked pleadingly at his brother, “It’s dad, he wouldn’t rat on any of us.” Tommy shook his head at Arthur’s naivety. He was still just a young boy at heart, wanting to please his father.
“Arthur, why don’t you help Ada make some tea?” Polly suggested. Arthur opened his mouth ready to argue when Ada took his hand.
“Come on.” She pulled him through to the kitchen. When Tommy was sure he was out of ear shot, he stood over his father, looking down on him with disdain.
“He can go to a hospital.” He spoke to Doctor Clarkson. “But it can’t be in small heath.”
“I can send him to a colleague of mine in London.”
“I have one condition.”
“Name it.”
“It’s not for you, it’s for him. And before I let him out of this house, he’ll have to agree to it.”
“What is it, boy?” His father spat.
“You’ll be gone in the morning. You’ll leave small heath, and you’ll never ever come back.”
“Tommy-” Anna’s voice was sad.
“No, mum.” Tommy stood firm, “He’s made us miserable for long enough. If he knows what’s good for him he’ll leave.”
“He can be someone else’s problem.” Polly said. Arthur Sr. looked disgruntled as he thought it through. Lilith didn’t know what possessed her to look at him, or to approach, but she suddenly found herself stood in front of him.
“You hate us all, daddy. So just say yes.” Her dark onyx eyes stared into him and he shifted uncomfortably, and yet unable to look away. He nodded to Tommy.
“I’ll do it. I’ll leave. I swear, I won’t come back.” At his words, Anna began to softly cry again, looking at the floor in shame. Lilith maintained eye contact with her father. A battle of wills being fought between them. No way in hell would she be bullied by him. She smirked, recalling how he squealed when she’d butchered him.
“I’m not sorry.” She whispered. “Don’t ever come back.”
*****
He was gone. It was done. Lilith had watched from the top of the stairs as they’d taken him to the canal boat Uncle Charlie had prepared. He’d not asked questions when Tommy had spoken quietly with him. He’d simply looked at Anna and agreed to whatever Tommy had told him. Anna had been inconsolable for the better part of the evening. Arthur Sr. never once looked at his wife as he was carted off to the canal boat that would take him to the infirmary in London. Even as she called his name tenderly.
“Have you nothing to say?!” Polly snapped at him, arm wrapped around Anna’s shoulders. The horrible excuse for a husband merely gritted his teeth and stared hard ahead. Ignoring Anna like it was all her fault. Ada had stripped Lilith bare and bathed her, tenderly cleansing the blood on her hands and face. John took her dress and the bed sheet and built a fire in the backyard for them.
“I’m not sorry.” Lilith kept saying quietly as she rocked back and forth in the warm water. “I’m not sorry.” She looked up at Polly when she came and joined them, alone. “Where’s mummy?”
“She’s gone to bed, darling.”
“I’ve made her sad, haven’t I?” Tears welled in Lilith’s eyes. “I don’t want mummy to go away again. Not like she did before. I want her to be happy. I want her to stay.” Polly hushed her, kissing her forehead soothingly as she took the soap and began to wash Lilith’s thick dark hair.
“Nonsense. You could never make your mother sad.” She stopped and leaned into whisper. “You and Tommy are her favourites.” She winked and Lilith managed a wobbly smile. “Loving my idiot brother made her sad.”
“Why does she love him?” Lilith asked curiously. Her forehead crinkled as she concentrated on the thought. Lilith couldn’t understand what her father had about him that made her mother care about him.”
“It’s a mystery to us all.” Polly scoffed as she rinsed the suds out of Lilith’s hair, the soft pads of her fingers massaging the little girl’s scalp. Lilith’s eyes fluttered as her body grew relaxed and sleepy. “But,” Polly began again, sounding sadder than before, “Your father wasn’t always like this. Once upon a time he was charming, handsome and good natured.” She sighed. “Life changed him.”
“I hope life doesn’t change me like that.”
“It won’t. I’ll make sure it doesn’t.”
*****
Cobalt eyes watch her through the crack in the door. Her small hands are clutching Polly’s cards as she places them on the table, humming happily as she does so.
“Come on in Tommy and close the door.” She calls behind her. “It’s cold.” Tommy enters without hesitation, her innocent voice like a spell over him. There was something uncanny about how she seemed to know when Thomas was close to her. Like they were linked by an invisible string. Light and Dark. Two sides of the same coin.
“What are you doing with those ey?” He asked, as he pulled out the chair beside her and sat, pulling out a cigarette and lighting it.
“Polly said I could read if he would ever come back,” Lilith spoke matter of factly. Tommy went cold.
Yes, Polly. Good idea to let my eight-year-old sister delve into gypsy magic without supervision.
“He won’t, Lily. Daddy’s gone, alright. I promise, he’s not coming back.” The firmness in her voice caught her off guard and she looked up at him. Onyx met cobalt and his certainty, his confidence was shaken.
“He will.” She spoke quietly. “But don’t worry, I’ll be older and less helpless. Besides, I’ve taken a precaution.” Something in the way she spoke made him nervous. Worry chiselled away at him. He cleared his throat.
“What precaution?”
Lilith smiled as she looked at Tommy. She pointed at the tarot deck.
“There’s you.” She pointed at The Chariot card. “There’s me.” She pointed at The Empress. “And there’s daddy in the middle.” She pointed to the card nestled between the other two. The Emperor. “With his head cut off.”
Tommy paled and shuddered at the way she spoke it dreamily. Polly’s small pocket knife (which she’d no doubt stolen from her aunt) was still lodged in the wood of the table where she had sliced the top half of The Emperor’s card. He knelt down beside Lilith at the table, taking her small hands in his, making her look at him.
“I know he frightened you and hurt mummy. And I’m sorry I wasn’t there to protect you. But I promise you, he’ll never be allowed to hurt any of us ever again.”
“I know.” She smiled.
*****
Anna threw herself into the canal a week later. Lilith had been inconsolable as she'd watched Uncle Charlie pull her mother's corpse from the water, cursing her father for his part in Anna’s misery. She hid herself away, refusing to talk about her mother and festering in her rage. Tommy should have known then what she’d be capable of. Instead, he’d had to wait fifteen years to hear about it. He’d dressed it up all nice for Arthur. Invented an imaginary woman, two scoundrels, and a gun. He’d had Mary the maid forge the letter and told the rest of his siblings that their father had died on the other side of the world. The truth was too terrible. No one needed to know that Alfie had witnessed her standing over their father like an angel of vengeance whilst he begged for mercy and told her she looked like her mother. No one needed to know that he’d been found down a dark alley in Camden, head viciously severed from his body.
And there’s Daddy, with his head cut off.
Tommy drained the whiskey from his tumbler and shuddered. Yes, it was true. The Shelby clan did indeed produce more demons than angels. And Lilith Rose Shelby, though Thomas loved her with all of his heart, was the most dangerous kind of demon…. she was an angel who didn’t know she’d fallen yet.

Never apologize for rambling abt your OCs on my post. I love y ou (and HOHHH THAT SOUNDS SO INTERSETING I'M LOOKING)
OKAY COOL FUCK YEAH THANKS
im using you as an excuse to talk about my very own home-grown blorbos now
So!!!!!!!!! i literally only have half of a design for the two of these ocs, i've only drawn one of them ONCE and i don't count it cuz i wanna redesign him COMPLETELY (that piece is not even canon, i had to do that for a class so i put stuff in there that doesn't even belong to the type of story it is </3), i've written for the two of them a couple times but im not even sure THAT'S canon anymore
(here's the art in case you don't wanna click on a link)
i think the writing might still be canon tho, i do still kinda like a lot of the stuff it went over with that. N E WAYS.
basically there's this pair of witches (they don't. really have. names. oops. they did but i don't like them anymore) who enlisted and then eventually rose to the top of fighting this war/apocalypse/encroaching disaster that has been ongoing for a LONG time. like, they're at the end of the world but turns out the end of the world is a hell of a lot slower than anyone imagined. they've been fighting it for a long time (and it does involve actual fighting? like i like to think that this apocalypse acts more as like. locust swarm but the bugs are big big buggy boys that hates you hates you hates you and eats the magic out of the world)
and the first (we'll call him A) is the one who rose up in the ranks to be best of the best very quickly, because his kind of magic is very powerful and was critically effective in the fight. and the second guy (we'll call him B) is kind of. worst of the best. SORT OF. he was best of the best because he fought alongside A and B's brand of magic explicitly deals with the bond the two of them shared. (i call it bonds magic cuz i can't think of something better for now) (yes it's power of friendship) (there more to that but whatever) it was IMMENSELY powerful!!! not moreso than A's magic, but still!! very powerful!!! so B rose up because A pulled him up (not entirely true!!! but you get the point. nuance)
BUT THEN. sometime after they had been in the war for a long ass time, A leaves. either from shame, either he's disillusioned, something happened, he won't say. and just kind of. leaves B behind. who still is very much part of the war and won't say anything to sway A's mind because he cares too much about what he thinks
years later, B's still part of the war/doom effort. and magic in the world has kind of deteriorated so much that it's. honestly kind of hard to come across a solid magic user these days. they still teach them and still get people to join the effort, but compared to the older days, it's a lot less. people can learn magic, everyone can, but it's hard to get like. a professional, someone who has unlocked the higher abilities of magic. people like A or B.
speaking of! yeah. B is still part of the war effort. and it's NOW at the period of time where he's the worst of the best, but he's the only one they've got. they still keep him around because who else is there, really, and also he can still utilize the powerful bond magic he made way back when with A, so he's still very powerful but it's just. different. ya know? he's standing in the shadow of just the IDEA of A, and he's not even here anymore. and it's not filled with resentment, never. never resentment. he could never tarnish that. it's only ever love. and looking up to A. it didn't feel like he cast a shadow because to B, to him, he only ever cast light.
but also. A left. left him. alone.
so he's dealing with that in a perfectly reasonable manner (not thinking about it)
meanwhile A has decided to live a pastoral life away from the apocalypse and is totally not repressing his issues either. <3.
and like!!! the council or whatever that's in charge of all the witches is like "hey. B. you know your way cooler friend? you still keep in touch right?" and sends him off to go find A again after all these years to bring him back to the war and there's a whole mess of meeting again and having to meet with all the things you left unsaid, and all the everything and OOUAOUGHFF it's a whole mess.
anyways i want to make this a comic but also i kind of need to. yknow. design and draw the comic if i want to make the comic. so like. rage.
#teehee#asks#joyflameball#i think about these guys near constantly#so many themes i want to explore with them#they? probably? die in the end?#i don't know. i haven't written a plot for them#but the love mattered. it mattered because we were here and it existed#that kind of thing ya know?#it's a “it's so hard to love when it's like this but i'll do it anyways. even if it hurts. because it's you. and i would again and again”#crying screaming throwing up#but yeah maybe they'll live maybe they die in the end. i'll find out eventually

for bo: ✨, 💀, 🌂 ; for sarah: 🎯, 🍀; for florence: 🥊, 🌂
for bo:
✨- How did you come up with the OC’s name?
STOP. I LOOKED UP SOUTHERN BOY NAMES. LMAO. LISTS OF HICK NAMES MY BELOVED
💀 - Does your OC have any phobias?
this would be a normal question coming from anyone but my dm,,,,, i think bo is afraid of heights and i think he's very afraid of the deep ocean. he's like. actually thats not my business. ickynasty
🌂 - What genre do they belong in?
oughh. not a genre but. discworld novel. genre To Me
for sarah:
🎯 - What do they do best?
cook. she's a pretty decent baker but shes so good at cooking. i think they can taste something someone else has made and then go home and make it 97% accurately even if they arent told any of the ingredients. and the other 3% is shes probably gonna use more butter and better spices. she doesnt follow recipes they kind of just wing it and follow their gut and everything they make is so so tasty
🍀 - What originally inspired the OC?
making wife for you <33333 simply sarah got made in early 2022 which was Such A Time for both of us and i was like. you know what. sarahs gregarious and silly and a little stupid sometimes and big loving and big personality and dopey and kind bc i felt like that was needed at the time. and it was originally meant to be a three shot so sarah and hawk were very much the comic relief characters and oh how theyve both grown
for florence:
🥊 - What do they love to do? What do they hate to do?
i think she loves to handwrite things. like if her sisters are making a shopping list shes like i can write it!!! she writes thank you letters for people even for small things. i think she journals too. writing stuff just calms her down and she enjoys it and she works really hard on her handwriting
despite her love of writing shopping lists i think she hates shopping. food, clothes, supplies, it doesnt matter. she gets overwhelmed and doesnt like most of the options. i think when she was in how high she got most everything just given to her by the church and then occasionally lizzie forced her out, and then in silvermoon her sisters did the shopping or she just tagged along. girl who would not survive a modern walmart
🌂 - What genre do they belong in?
hmmmmm great question. very specific genre but Awkward Girl Coming Of Age Movie

for oc asks: not-so-nice edition, a meme that was practically made for javi, monster, skin and wound for javi >:3c
Mr. Lasombra and one half of the Lasom-bros, Javier "Mateo Sandoval" Medellín Ask meme here!
(tyty for the asks!!! these are JUICY)
monster: Is your OC monstrous in any way? Is there something that makes them monstrous? Are they aware of their own monstrosity? Do they accept it or reject it?
I mean just by saying he's a vampire is saying he's monstrous right? d: or is that the easy cop-out answer? Realistically even then there are things lurking under the surface than just the power of death, the void, and Oblivion. Soul-eater, kin-killer, there's something very wrong about a member of a species that can only feed on it's own - something deviant and devious and most certainly wrong. But when the baseline is wrong by our human standards, does that still make someone monstrous?
Beyond being a diabolist and blood leech, there's the fact that something out there in the Dark is calling to him, spoke to him, and the idea that he can shadowbox with his shadow sure is p.spooky.
He rejects his monstrous-ness as a necessary, as a righteous thing among his kind and a way to gain some relief by not preying upon the very people he swore his life to protect but maybe his most interesting conflict is just what it will take to have him crumble and accept his change as being monstrous without trying to be redeeming about it at all.
skin: How comfortable is your OC in their skin? Do they grapple with anything that lives inside them—a beast, a curse, a failure, a monster? How do they face the smallest, weakest, most horrible version of themself? Are they able to acknowledge it at all?
NO. NEVER.
He has never been confident in his skin, ever since he was a boy he's suffered and struggled with his self-image. Struggling with weight and people's expectations/image of him, of stress and honestly borderline eating disorders growing up it all lead to a very low opinion of how he looks. Even now and even though he's like 6'+ and built like he belongs on the cover of some men's workout magazine, he has not prided himself in it, merely the relief it feels that he is now able to control how he looks.
And, well, that look is never changing ever again. :)
(Part of struggling with his self image I think also made it a little easier to pretend to be someone else, to act a role that his body fits, and in that way he can get some kind of comfort of: I'm supposed to look this way, I'm finally conforming to a norm; people will look at me and see an image that I can curate, that I control, and that fits the narrative that I am portraying. And there was a comfort in that.)
He grapples with his Beast constantly, whether it be the thing in him that claws and bites and growls, or with the soul he trapped within him by diablerie, he struggles constantly and almost constantly in vain against them. But still, the most terrifying thing is something he still hasn't yet found out: what was that voice in the Void, and what will happen when his control slips to distraction, and such Beasts are let go.
He accepts, or at least he thinks he accepts, what he is, what his Hunger is, what his Beasts are, but it's just a surface-level knowledge brought on by youth as to what the nature of the Hunger will be and what it will take for him to continue existence going forward.
wound: How does your OC handle being wounded? Are their wounds mostly physical? Mental? Emotional? What's the worst wound your OC has ever experienced?
He's been wounded physically tons of times. On the reg. It was part of his job when he was alive and it's his job essentially now by being the big bruiser of the Pack. His wounds are mostly still physical, but he has the emotional scarring of being who he was growing up, a son of a deeply disapproving, conservative-values father, a very low self-esteem, and all.
The worst wound though was when he realized that he "died" and he could never go back to his family. (Until he did)

Don't play with fire (chapter 4)
[Lo'ak x OC]
[prev] [next]
DISCLAIMER: This Avatar fan fiction is made only with the help of my imagination. I wanted to imagine a story that would take place in Avatar 3 so after "the way of water". I read that this movie would be about fire people, so I tried to imagine this clan with the information found on interenet. In this fan fiction Lo'ak is 18 years old and everything that is said about "The Ash People" in this book was invented and was not certified by James Cameron. English is not my first language so sorry if I don't know some of the words, please be indulgent, I might edit this story once I finish. I still hope you will like it.
Summary: One year after the events in the Reefs, the Sully family decides to move again, to a new clan said to be able to bring the dead back to life. What happens when Lo'ak meets the princess of the volcanoes? Him who was already promised to the Metkayina princess finds himself in a strange situation when he falls for another girl.
I felt someone shake me, I opened my eyes and Lo'ak was crouched beside me.
"Wake up, it's time," he whispered.
"What are you doing here? I gasped but he placed his hand over my mouth so as not to make any noise.
"Shhh, you don't want to wake up your parents" my eyes were wide open and I nodded and he dropped his hand "I thought it was the perfect time to go to the reefs" he continued.
"And our parents? Mine will be worried".
"I'll bring their little girl back," he teased before walking out of the room.
I rolled to my feet and joined him at the exit of the crater, he put on his head a visor and saddled his ikran, I analyzed the object on his head which looked familiar.
"It belonged to Neteyam" I said softly as I approached him.
He turned his head to look at me, "Yeah, how did you know?
"I don't know, I just feel it.
"You know you scare me" he let out a little laugh.
« You better me » I smiled back.
"The ride will be long, we'll have to sleep there" he let out quickly as he turned to his mount to finish tying his gear.
"You're going to get me in trouble Lo'ak".
" Shut up and get on if you will " Lo'ak climbed on his ikran and gave me his hand to climb, I took it and sat behind him and put my hands on his sides.
Before leaving he took my hands and placed them on his belly "You should hold on" I heard him say before taking off. It was my first time on an ikran and I tightened my arms around him, surprised by the power of the wind on my skin. I looked down and the landscape was beautiful and seeing the village from this height was something else, I was not used to this view.
"Is this your first time on an ikran?" he said loudly in front of me so I could hear him.
"Yeah!" I answered, I spoke close to his ear so he could hear me.
"Why?"
"I never had a chance."
"You should definitely get one!" he turned his head to the side to try to see me in the corner of his eye.
"Maybe" I smiled as I enjoyed the scenery.
The trip took us a very long time, Lo'ak showed me the beauties of Pandora, pointing out some animals or landscapes that we could see from above. By the time we reached Awa'atlu there were only a few hours left before the eclipse.
I got off the ikran followed by Lo'ak and a group of teenagers from the clan came towards us.
"Lo'ak!" the only girl in the group exclaimed and threw herself on the boy beside me. The interaction between the two made me feel uncomfortable, who is she?
"Tsireya this is Äära" Lo'ak cleared his throat as the girl pulled away from him.
"I see you" she said with a big smile as she gestured towards me. I didn't do anything, but Lo'ak's jostling forced me to make the gesture in return.
Then two other boys came up behind and greeted Lo'ak "Aonung, Rotxo, this is Äära, the daughter of the Magmawati chief.
The one named Rotxo made the same respectful gesture but the other boy analyzed me from top to bottom without even a smile. I looked at him the same way, maintaining eye contact with him before Lo'ak spoke.
"We'd like to stay the night, Äära and I have some things to do here"
"You are welcome but you should still talk to my father" Tsireya said smiling and never taking her eyes off Lo'ak.
"Yeah I probably should" he nodded walking towards the chief marui I followed him, the three teenagers watching us from behind.
"I see you Tonowari" Lo'ak said entering the tent, I did the same.
"Lo'ak, Äära what are you doing here?" ask the chief, how do he know my name?
"We would like to spend the night here, Äära is here to contact Neteyam".
The chief raised his eyebrows, "It seems like your father is not wrong," he spoke in my direction.
"What do you mean?"
"You are meant to be both."
I didn't understand what he was trying to say, what was that supposed to mean?
"Sorry, but do we know each other?" I asked, not wanting to sound cheeky.
"No, but everyone knows you, it's not every day you see someone both Olo'eyktan and Tsahik" A woman said as she entered the room, probably his wife.
"I see you Ronal" Lo'ak greeted the woman
"I'm not even one-" I began but was cut off by the tsahik.
"You can stay in your old marui for the night" she replied.
"Thank you," the boy to my left replied, before grabbing my arm and leading me outside.
" Do you always have to start arguments? " he whispered.
I shook my arm to get out of his grip "I didn't do anything wrong" I replied.
He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, "Please behave until we leave".
I rolled my eyes and followed him back to the beach "Are you mad at me?" I asked but received no answer from him.
We got near the water and he made clicking noises with his mouth, a sea animal came towards him, he got on it and waited for me to do the same. What the hell was his problem? If he wanted to play games then let's play. I climbed up behind him and slid my arms around his waist but this time he placed his hand on my thigh to hold me in place. I didn't know what to call this animal and Lo'ak certainly wasn't going to tell me since he had decided to be an asshole.
We arrived at a beautiful place, if I remembered correctly the stories my mother told me, it would be The Cove of the Ancestors. I detached myself from Lo'ak and dove under the water and in front of me stood the Spirit Tree, I swam towards it admiring its grandeur, I could feel the strong presence of Eywa, as if she were very close. I looked back one last time, seeing the boy swimming towards me before connecting with one of the branches of the tree.
Holding my breath underwater was not a problem, when we were little Aysär and I used to have contests to see who could hold their breath the longest underwater and with time I learned to control my breathing.
Everything was white and I saw a figure in the distance and stepped forward. It looked strangely like Lo'ak, I frowned and put my hand on his shoulder "Lo'ak? The person turned around and changed shape, older and more athletic. "Neteyam!" I looked up not believing what I was seeing in front of me.
" Hi Äära " he greeted me with a big smile.
"I am glad to meet you, your family asked me to communicate with you" I analyzed him, the resemblance with Neytiri was striking.
"Why?"
"They miss you a lot and they think we could bring you back to them" his smile fell "I know it's impossible, it was your path to join Eywa". He nodded, "I don't know how to tell your mother, she'll be destroyed, as if it wasn't hard enough for her" I put my hand against his cheek and he closed his eyes at the contact.
"I know, tell her I'm happy where I am and that I'm everywhere with her" a tear rolled down his cheek. I took my hand away and he looked at me again, "I just need you to help my brother find his way, he needs to get through this and show my parents that he is doing it for us.
I nodded and stepped back as he disappeared in front of me.
I opened my eyes and disconnected from the tree, I barely turned my head and was surprised to see Lo'ak watching me, I winced and rose to the surface "You're such a weirdo" I let out as I splashed him.
"What did you see?" he asked seriously.
"Not much of use" I replied not wanting to dampen his spirits but also still touched by what had happened before.
He sighed and rolled his eyes before calling his creature again. Night had fallen, we arrived at the village and I followed Lo'ak into the tent where we would spend the night.
"Why are you such an asshole?" I asked standing at the entrance.
"Why?" he repeated, turning to me, "Maybe because you think you can do whatever you want and need to be reminded that the world doesn't revolve around you," he moved closer to me. My heart sank at his words.
"You've been acting so weird since we got here" he was so close to me I could feel his breath on my forehead.
"Maybe it's because I'm trying to behave in front of the chief, not like you" I looked deep into his eyes trying to find the answer I was looking for. He looked away and took a breath, "You don't know what it's like not to feel at home no matter where you go. How it feels to be seen as a freak despite your best efforts.
"Are you talking about earlier?" I asked as I grabbed his arm, his eyes looking back into mine.
"I'm talking about how I feel all the time, whenever I'm here or when I'm with you. You belong in this world. Not me, I'll always be seen as the boy who led his brother to his death".
"Stop talking nonsense, Neteyam died to save you! You're as important as anyone else here, and I'm sorry if I made you feel that way before" I moved my hand down his arm before slipping it into his hands.
"By coming back here I thought I wouldn't feel that guilt anymore, wouldn't feel that difference," his voice softened.
"Your difference doesn't make you weaker and you know it" I raised his hand to my heart "I see you Lo'ak" his eyes widened and he parted his lips as if he wanted to say something but nothing came out.
"I- We should go to sleep" he looked down at the ground before letting go of my hand and turning away.
I stood there for a few seconds thinking if what I had done was the right thing to do...
A/N: Magmawati is the name I gave to the volcano clan to make it easier to write. The argument doesn't make much sense, I think Lo'ak just needed to say what was on his mind. Like always I feel like this chapter sucks but I still hope you like it. Don’t forget to like and repost it motivates me the most.

whole hog: henry sinclair
Time for the man, the myth, the legend...
Henry is the protag of my novel, read it here
✨- How did you come up with the OC’s name?
There's nothing behind this name at all. It sounded both bougie and old timey American, which I was going for due to him originally being from New England.
🌼 - How old are they? (Or approximate age range)
Henry starts off Dream Quest at 14, and turns 15 at some point during the story. Like Cherise and Neville, he will continue to age as the stories go on and be in his 20s in the final arc
🌺- Do they have any love interest(s)?
Henry's primary love interest is Ayane, the dream spirit/tulpa of a popular fictional character he brought home from the Dreamlands. However they aren't going to get together just yet; he'll date a couple other girls before they come to terms with their feelings.
🍕 - What is their favorite food?
Chicken parmesan for dinner, baklava and black coffee for dessert
💼 - What do they do for a living?
Henry is a student at the current age. His family is too affluent for him to have to work for a living. The trajectory of his life is such that he will likely either join the magic council of San Francisco or be shipped off to Greece to apprentice under his "grandfather," really his immortal ancestor Lelantos. However, most likely, he will not do any of that.
🎹 - Do they have any hobbies?
Henry loves to read heavy tomes, usually fantasy novels if they aren't arcane grimoires.
🎯 -What do they do best?
Henry's greatest talent as a practitioner is to alter the shape and properties of earthen materials. He can make stone and metal soft and spongy on contact or shape it with his hands, which he is quite good at.
🥊 -What do they love to do? What do they hate to do?
Henry loves to sing, and will probably lean more into music as an escape after returning him. He is starting to learn that he hates being told what do do and will soon enter his rebellious phase.
❤️ - What is one of your OC’s best memories?
We explore it in the dream quest novel! He remembers going to the beach as a toddler with his mother. This is one of his last memories of her before she died.
✂️ - What is one of your OC’s worst memories?
Probably what came right after the last one, being told that she had died. I have not fleshed out the details of that incident however.
🧊 - Is their current design the first one?
Like Neville, he underwent a latinization lmao. He was originally a pasty white boy and is now mixed white/afro-latino. I think of this era as the "punished Henry" design since he has grown his hair out long and lost his arm, which were both absent originally.
🍀 - What originally inspired the OC?
the deep lore is that he was based on a big name fan's homestuck fankid. I don't remember either of their names. Just know that someone else made up a black haired child with a big blue coat who was interested in the occult.
🌂 - What genre do they belong in?
Seeing as he was raised among magic with it as his birthright, and is in the process of becoming even more magical, he could only ever be a fantasy character. He would probably do well in one of those political fantasies about warring houses though, mind you.
💚 - What is your OC’s gender identity and sexuality?
Henry is cis and bisexual. I know I said he mostly dates girls back there, but he will show interest in at least a couple boys at one point.
🙌 - How many sibling does your OC have?
Henry has no siblings. He does however have a younger cousin, Ruby, with whom he has been raised, and they see each other as siblings.
🍎 - What is the OC’s relationship w/their parents like?
Henry really wishes they were still alive. He instead is being raised by his aunt. She is a cold woman and difficult to please, but can be loving now and then. He is starting to distrust her, however.
🧠 - What do you like most about the OC?
He just has a certain je ne sais quo...
✏️ - How often do you draw/write about the OC?
There was a period where I didn't talk about him at all because I was unsatisfied with his original introduction and wanted to write a new one. Then when that was done I never shut up about him.
💎 - Do you ever see yourself killing off the OC?
If Henry dies he will simply hatch out of the corpse like a cicada.
💀 - Does your OC have any phobias?
Surprisingly no.
🍩 -Who is your OC’s arch-nemesis or rival?
For nemeses he has his evil genderbent doppelganger from the mirror dimension, Leila. I suppose they could also be construed as rivals due to being in the same age range and having similar abilities. literal foils and such. He is also going to come to hate his grandfather.
🎓 - How long have you had the OC?
November of 2013. I remember because it was a NaNo project.
🍥 - What age were you when you created the OC?
21...

🍍 For the fancy boy Vlad. Wanna really know if he does even this crime against humanity.
🧅🍋🍏🥑🍆 For Aon. Also for Vlad too if you want to dig into it!
I remembered there was something. Just didn't know what it was. Ahh right - ask game KEK sorry for the short delay. Better late than never. And ofc you and Rev have so many options but chose to take a lot of same things. Like both of you going to the store and grabbing the same avocado and starting a fight over it and making a scene
VLAD
🍍 [PINEAPPLE] Pineapple on pizza or not?
Tbh I think he never touched a single slice of pizza in his entire life and never will. Not a fancy corpo dish. So that’s not a crime you can bring him to court for since he couldn’t care less what toppings are on it anyway.
AON
🧅 [ONION] What is surefire to make your OC cry? Who knows of this information?
If you take away her cigarettes lmao. No, it's difficult to answer because it depends on the situation and she usually just swallows or covers up a lot of her emotions. So it can happen on different occasions. It just has to be a really strong emotional impact for the dam to break. It can be something negative or something positive so that it's tears of joy and not just because she's sad or upset. However, I only have one event in mind where she actually cries. The desperate/hopeless/“I'm done” kind of crying. Everything else tends to be brief moments where you wipe away a few tears shortly after and move on. So not really something in particular like "I remember that one moment in my life and have to cry because of it" - thing. Tho never say never: maybe I will come up with something in the future. She will be a work in progress for ever anyway.
🍋 [LEMON] What is their kryptonite/ultimate weakness?
People she loves and cares about. She’s really protective for her found-family, especially for those she knows are no fighters or would struggle to defend themselves in a dangerous situation. She’s not overly protective of the ones she knows can handle themselves, like Kurt for example, but that doesn't mean you couldn’t do a lot of damage to her if something happens to him or any other person that’s close to her.
🍏 [GREEN APPLE] How do they differ from the norm and how are they punished for it?
It depends on who the norm is. When she was still locked up in her golden cage in Moscow, she was the black sheep of the family and wasn't really popular at school either because of her nature and her reluctance to be enslaved by a corporation. Her stepfather always made her feel it. Verbally or through other “educational measures”. Later on, there is actually no norm that she should conform to. Sure, she's a criminal on some level and in someone's eyes she belongs in prison as the just punishment for it, but it's all such a legally gray area that she doesn't really feel like she has to conform to anything.
🥑 [AVACADO] What will they never back down about, even if it makes them seem bad?
I think the thing you can blame her most for is her work. It's not exactly a respectable job, manufacturing war machines and weapons, but it fills her with pride when she completes a big project. Building machines is and was always her passion. That particular type of machine maybe wouldn't have been her first choice, but having already learned a lot about it while studying at SovOil, she stuck with it during her time with the Nomads and refined her skills. After all, it's lucrative because the world is just a rotten place and she has to look after her people. Is it reprehensible that people are being killed with the weapons she makes? Sure. Is she therefore a bad person in the eyes of a "normal" citizen? To 100%. Maybe she’s too pessimistic to think that anything in this society would change anymore. In a sense of: I could make this world a better place if I instead would do xy.”
🍆 [EGGPLANT] How are they used by others? How easily are they tricked into this?
You could say her stepfather already took advantage of her interests and ambitions to form her into something to his liking. After that she was more or less exploited by the leader of her clan for her technical skills and the knowledge she brought with her from her life as a Corpo and this reveal has made her extremely suspicious of everyone she meets later in her life and therefore it is not easy to take advantage of her or to gain her trust in general. She is very selective about who she works with or who she grants access to her life and on what scale. For example even after finding a lot of trust and more in Kurt, it still took her quite a long time to play with the thought to give up her independence since she was too damaged from the things that happened in her past.
