unfortunately lost power and have barely slept. it's only 8am but it's already so hot. i know it's not realistic but im really hoping power is restored soon. much less for my sake than my cats. the Florida heat even in October is unbearable

otherwise okay though...i think? the yard is completely covered in debris and we had some flooding but thankfully not too much water in the house, only in certain small areas where it's very manageable and nothing was lost. it's still raining, but we got very lucky that the hurricane moved the way it did, because things could have been (and were projected to be) way worse
