Too many are rejected from jobs they worked so hard to even be considered for. Consider this our congratulations to you for always working so hard.
If you have achieved something, please remember to observe a mandatory period of basking in the warm glow of your achievement like a lizard on a stone, lest you teach your brain that effort is futile, actually, because it didn't get to enjoy its happy chemicals, so, naturally, nothing good ever comes of trying. (And no, avoiding punishment is not a reward!)
I recommend, like, 5% of basking time in relation to whatever time you invested into achieving the thing minimum. And if you can't make your own bask, friend-brought is fine (= tell your friends!).

Mission Statement: Humans, not Resources
Maybe you're a First Class Political Science graduate and now you're wondering why you bothered with four years at university when the only job you can land is as a Store Cleaner at Aldi.
Maybe you got out of prison a few months ago, and no one will even give you an interview - you just wish someone would take a chance on you.
Perhaps you've just finished maternity leave, you're raring to go... and then all of a sudden you're "too behind" to get back into work.
It could be that your previous workplace treated you unfairly, so you reported them and quit, and now you have a funny feeling that no one else wants to hire you because of it.
Welcome to the modern world of job-hunting. Can't be that hard, right?
Well, instead of 'walking into' the job's 'nest' and 'poaching' it, the job has no nest. In fact, it went extinct in 1681 along with the Dodo. Rather than hunting with a spear or a gun, like any good-old-fashioned archetype, you've got an empty can of the most flaccid silly-string ever. Trying to find a job today, for many people, can feel like trying to hunt a Dodo with silly-string - it feels hopeless, stupid, and unfair. Some might say it's impossible.
Job-Hunt Impossible's mission is to give you, whoever you are, the tools to help you deal with this broken system - including the hidden mental and physical toll unsuccessful job-hunting takes on you as an individual.
We live in a world where you can go through life trying your very best at every turn, make 150 reasonable job applications, and be rejected for every single one. What's more, we brush it off like it’s nothing - like it’s normal. But it shouldn't be normal - it’s unsustainable.
We know how frustrating, draining, and unfair the employment system is and we want to help. At Job-Hunt Impossible we are sick of the employment system effectively telling people who work hard that their best is not good enough. Experiencing rejection after rejection doesn’t necessarily get easier and can result in a vulnerable mental state; and for those with pre-existing conditions, one more rejection could be the final straw.
Words matter so much because they represent who we are. Yet we’re continually forced to commodify our words to make ourselves acceptable within the economy, to turn ourselves into nothing more than ‘human resources’ to be rejected or accepted. When you’ve been told you’re a ‘reject’ so many times, sometimes you start believing it. But here at Job-Hunt Impossible, we want to do everything we can to undo the damage of the employment system – to rehabilitate you as an accepted human and not a rejected resource.
9/10 times, people blame the applicant for not getting the job, but we know it is the system that is broken – not you. Believe it or not, being told to apply for more jobs or to try harder doesn't help. We don’t pretend the system can be fixed, nor that you can do anything to fix yourself to better suit the system. Instead, we believe you have the inherent ability to realise your worth so that you can safely navigate and tolerate a broken system. This is our unique approach adapted for an increasingly hostile economy that you can do very little about. It truly is a sorry state of affairs when this is the only consolation.
We want to remind you that your experience or education matters - that it is not a waste, that you are loved, and that you have the right to exist. Sometimes jobs create more problems than they solve; so we believe The Solution is You. Remember: We are humans, not resources.
The services we offer are to give you a better idea of what resources are around to help you. We want to build confidence, build adaptability, and and lend an ear. Among our resources you'll find:
