like, sometimes the crew'll pretend to be talking about you and watch how reid immediatly perks up from whatever file he was buried in and turns to look where the he heard your name be spoken. and he falls for it every. fucking. time

gushes to you about any new interesting books, reseach, interesting statistics, facts, events etc

in a similar vein, he'll get caught in gushing to the gang about how cool and smart and funny his partner is

but can't handle you flirting with him, he's smiling like an idiot and bashfully looking away, with his face all red

a lot of people say he wouldn't like pda, and i get it, but i think if you've been together long enough and he feels comfortable around you he's not shy about expressing it, verbally or physically

i mean yeah, it's not "all up in your face" pda, it's with smaller affectionate gestures

vents all his thoughts, concerns and emotions out to you, and listens attentively and patiently when you have to vent

falls in love with you all over again listening to you get caught up talking about your interests/opinions

man's capable of easily retaining encyclopedias worth of info, so anything and everything you tell him gets commited to his database of a mind

be it the most insignificant gossip or tiniest detail about your childhood, you best belive he's never forgetting that shit

tries his best to not profile you or try to explain your emotions to you, but really he dosen't need to be told twice when it comes to learing the intricacies of realationship ettiquette

he's never dated anyone before and he's about as nervous as he is excited

deeply fears disappointing you, hates the thought of being a burden to you, so hearing affirmations of your love verbally means a lot

more than anything he needs a solid positive presence to help him deal with his emotions

so if he's had a really bad day, or a rough case, he comes to your front door and just totally breaks down and falls into your arms, crying into your shoulder

if anything traumatic were to happen to him, you're the first person he needs to be there

and if he woke up in a hospital bed he'd immediately start asking for you, rather frantically too

and if the event is traumatic enough, he may become a bit codependent, at least for a week during the recovery process

used to get jittery around you from nerves, now it's from the uncontainable happiness he feels being around you

his kisses are so shy and inexpirenced but also so, so needy and desperate

he'd die if you ever custom made a puzzle or quiz with questions about your relationship, like he'd be so overjoyed, literally would never shut up about it

reid usually isn't one for physical affection, like, not at all

but it's completely the opposite with you, he can't seem to keep himself away

and the guy is starved for touch...or really affection of any kind, so whenever he can, he clings onto any part of you he can

follows you around like a puppy, all giddy and stupid with love

reads to you, odds are whatever book it is, he's already read it, dozens of times over if it's a classic or scientific. he very well could just recite it but if there wasn't a book to look at, he'd have to look at you which would make him get distracted and trail off

(Basically lopt eats tissues and jirou gets drunk)

today was a rather lively day, after noriko chased him for drinking her nail polish, jirou attempting to calm her down, her in turn punching jirou, him having a panic attack, etc etc. He was rather tired, as much as he liked the feeling, it could be overwhelming, Jirou had been going out with crown for the past several days, he almost was hoping that jirou would stay home so he could bum a smoke off him, ironically for a god, he was mostly broke, and sure he could get a job like a normal person, wheres the fun in that? Jirou did end up going out with crown, to lopts disappointment. He usually would just steal, however the events of today mixed with the fact that jirou would very muchly notice, Jirou would probably have a breakdown, still being very muchly overstimulated, it wasnt the best idea. He decied to just wait until he got back, sitting in his room looking around at anything he could fiddle with, he seen a box of tissues, odd for a god that doesnt cry.

(ITS BECAUSE JIROU WOULD COME TO LOPTS ROOM TO CRY NOT JERK OFF YOU DRITY MINDED FUCKS /lovingly)

ironically, he did know what they were,  however, his impulsive thoughts got the best of him, or at least what little left there was. He pulled one out of the box, ripped a piece off, and stuck it in his mouth. He thought it didnt taste that bad, ironically out of all the things he ate that he shouldntve, this didnt hurt. He continued pulling pieces off and eating them, until there was nothing left, since it didnt hurt, he decided to eat another, and another, until he had ate 5. it took him around 30 minutes, ripping small pieces off like he was doing wasnt that efficient, before realizing what he was doing and stopped. He got bored of waiting so he decided to lay down and try to sleep, sure he didnt really need to, but it would pass time. Laying in bed, staring at the ceiling, he thought about the past week and how weird it was, first he ate “plates” which are very muchly not supposed to be consumed, then he drank nail polish and nail polish remover, even worse, and now hes ate tissues, sure tissues shouldnt (at least to his knowledge) do much harm to him, but it was still weird. People would probably laugh at him, gods, thinking about it, Noriko and Jirou never laughed at him for it, yet at least, they were concerned, worried, that wasnt something he was used to. If he had anymore tears left to cry from over the past centuries, he would. Not wanting to get emotional, or rather be embarrassed, he decided to grab his phone and listen to music, or something, anything? He just wanted to stop thinking about how people treated him in general, after 7 minutes and desperate attempts of trying to not get out of bed to check, he found his phone, on the otherside of his room, he didnt know how it got there, probably something to do with noriko. He noticrd several messages from “My lovable idiot (02), Jirou,

“Auhhgf bae i miss u soonc much” 

“hey do yoh think oti could pick me up”

“wait nevemond”

“ushebd hey do u wnst me to come hone?”

lopt was rather confused at the messages, sure jirou never typed well, but he did make some attempt at making things readable, before figuring out that he was more than likey drunk. He kept reading

“foeskwaa yk i love hoj rivtn?”

“becaus i do lien wlot”

lopt mentally had to repeat what jirou was saying.

“augh bae i miss you so much, hey do you think you could pick me up, wait nevermind, uhgh hey do you want me to come home? auhwaa you know i love you right? because i do like alot” 

he sent a reply, “are you alright? i can come pick you up did something happen?” he waited for some odd time before sitting on the edge of his mattress, “mmhgbfnf nktbing happendd i miss you and in dont drle hood” lopt being a fucking master at translating idiots and drunk idiots, repeated “nothing happened i miss you and i dont feel good” mentally skimming through proper responses, he responded with “why dont you feel good love? and yes of course i can come pick you up” 

(look lopt def writes in a weird proper way dont deny it its either absolutely shit or extremly proper)

“mmsbxn plewsse?” “of course” he contemplated adding a heart but ultimately decided to not. 

He got into “his” car, more or lessly the car everyone used in the revolutionary army (REVARMY CAR REVARMY CAR) he had a good idea as to where jirou was, 3 spots, one. crowns “house” two. bar around a couple of blocks. three. old abandoned building they used to do meetings in. He checked crowns place first, knocking on the door, he waited about 5 minutes before leaving, next going to the abandon building, it was unlikey they went to a bar, they only did that in special occasions, and when something awful happened to numb the pain. he went into the first level of it, and seen jirou sitting on the ground with crown standing half hunched down, patting his head. Jirou stood up, mumbling his good bye to crown and waving, the car ride home was quite, hed ask tomorrow. They both walked into the dark apartment, Jirou immediately getting water out of the tap and some random fruit to eat, it was for the best if he was drunk. Lopt kissed him on the forehead and told him that he loved him, Jirou said the same before walking off to his room. Lopt decided to properly sleep finally, hed live without a smoke for another day.

The next morning, well rather noon, jirou was vaguely awake and talking to noriko about what happened yesterday, apologizing and things, “so how was your day?” noriko asked directing it at lopt, “well uh, i found out that tissues taste pretty good!” he said semi excitedly, Noriko and Jirou sat in shock, “Lopt you… what? why would you even” Jirou started in, Lopt didnt believe he was ever going to get a break.

(this was the worst ive wrote yet im sorry, but theres no real way to stretch lopt eating tissue out that long, or maybe there is idk i might try again someday, as per disclaimer, do not eat tissue, it can lead to intestinal blockage.) 

(im genuinely sorry for how poor this is, im not exaclty focused at the moment, but honestly i cant think of a better way to do this so!) 

(god im so tired, like sleepy, not tired of anyone or smth, i woke up way too early for my own liking)

I have to ask, why Karl? He is an abusive husband, groomer, rapist, neglectful parent and just an horrible person all together. Why Devyn, someone who is smart and not a idiot at all, would be in love with this horrible man, what Karl did do deserve to have someone like Devyn around him? What she's see in him that she couldn't find in anyone else?

this is the million dollar question.

now, we have to take in consideration that the way i choose to portray karl for devyn is pretty ooc, but then again how to make this man loveable if you don’t go ooc with him.

he is a different person with devyn, he is lovely and sweet, puts her in the spotlight, offers her attention, offers her power so eventually she falls for him.

but the cause for his change in behaviour is actually her. yk they are friends at first and he takes this whole start of the friendship period to analyse her, see if she would be of use for him (her father, who is this highly respected general, praises her so much and talks about how she could easily deal with political affairs and what not — made karl think that “hey, this woman must be something, let’s meet her” ), he considers making her his wife, but last minute he decides that she’d be more suitable as his right hand ( he sees her as someone loyal, pretty powerful too and good to keep around) and from that it all starts. he spends so much time with her and he realises he feels good, he enjoys working with her, hanging out with her so he treats her right and eventually develops deeper feelings ( which mister i-am-incapable-of-love finds surprising but goes along with it in the end).

another factor is her deeply loyalty to the kingdom, and the king eventually. her father worked his whole life to protect the kingdom and it’s people, she aspirated to do the same so she always had a certain level of devotion for karl, as a monarch.

trust me, devyn herself can’t understand why he can be so nice and so warm around her, but not around his family, and it’s something she never liked about him and will subtly make clear with him.

he treats her right. with respect. cares not only about her, but about what she says and trusts her a lot, and her feelings in this department were mutual. he treats her almost as his equal and she appreciates this so much so this also made their relationship work.

now if you’re asking why i chose karl for her, well i always found him as such and interesting character and decided to this. we don’t know much about him and i also believe that no one is born evil, so something must’ve happened along the way to make karl the way he is, and if he could change into this horrible man i don’t see why he couldn’t change for devyn in a little way at least.

and as much as sweet and lovable devyn is, she is also vicious and cruel when she needs to, mostly regarding her work, you can’t keep a kingdom strong and be soft yk.

in conclusion, both of them are similar when it comes to work, that’s why they always worked so well together, they have the same ideas, work ethic, etc. and they are close to each other beyond that, in “private time” and while karl is warm around her, devyn is a nice person with more people.

Night Out: Explicit. in progress ABOverse,  deku’s a stripper. bakugou is SUPER into it. i only read the first two chapters but i love the author so the rest is probably legit???? 

Howl: Explicit. in progress it’s only 2 chapters in, and it’s been a couple months since its updated, but the author expressed wanting to continue so i imagine its not abandoned! ABOverse again, i like the characterizations a LOOOTTT. college au as well, looks like there’s room for some pining so HNNNGGG 

glacier: Explicit. in progress but close to the end. MIND. THE. TAGS. I cannot stress that enough i personally don’t, yk, get off on reading smut anyway, im usually in it for the giggles. so for me reading this with those tags, its less about the ....“smut” and more about the writing and characterizations. bakugou is unhinged and provides an exciting and suspenseful read, like an antagonist you hate to love, and deku is out here suRVIVING by any means necessary. its all about the suspense dude. its has me on my toes most chapters. tbh i cant decide how i want it to end but i can tell the author knows how its going to do so, and i cant wait to see how it plays out. 

Vicious. Explicit. Complete. i’ve...never read it actually. but uh. sounds interesting i think. fake marriage. they’re hero partners. joins a cult and....stuff happens. 

The Night We Met. Mature. Complete. look. this is soooo well written. the author wanted to make it seem like poetry, and i think they succeeded in doing so. but pleASE understand that this is heavy af. i will never likely, read this again because of how damn HEAVY this was, at least for me. it’s almost triggering to my anxiety?? and i don’t even have. like. serious anxiety??? it has a happy ending though!!! bakugou can’t die, and deku is reincarnated and bound to met him in every life. 

I’m Friends with the Monster in my Closet: Mature. In progress. haven’t read it yet!!! but apparently deku is out here being non-human and creepy and he’s baku’s bff!!! halloween is just around the corner, so why not dive into something spooky like this??? 

Quiet Rapture: Explicit. In progress. ill always rec this classic ABOverse fic. well-written. well characterized. deku isn’t your average omega (thats the shit i like if you couldn’t tell) baku is smitten. i stopped reading about....14 chapters in?? but i imagine it’s still going strong. 

Persephone: Teen. Complete. super cute. baku and deku grow up as best friends then become more. they also grow up with shinsou and he gets a lot of attention and love in this fic too, so if you’re a shinsou stan, here you go! deku has a quirk as well! his dad is written suuuperrr well and lovable. bakugou and deku are oblivious and adorable and just. this fic gives me the fuzzies. only 7 chapters but they’re LOOOONNNNGG.
