What made you ship it? I was hooked from the first season! ...at least in the sense that I figured they'd be canon eventually, they were the endgame I always rooted for, and I'd happily enjoy the ride until then (in the meantime, I very much enjoyed Westhawne in s1 and cried when Eddie died. I expect this rewatch will go the same way 😭)

What are your favorite things about the ship? "(best) friends to lovers" is my favorite romance trope, and I love when the show really showed that they were in fact best friends in love (s5 and beyond sorta lost this thread, but s3 and s4 did this well) 💞 the way they'd tease each other, high-five like kids over landing a wedding venue, banter and flirt...just AHHH their banter is so, so great when the writing lets it shine (and the Flash/Iris banter in s1 was great too!)

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? The 1x15 kiss being their big kiss is kinda sad tbh. I get that it was a big moment for them and all, and it's a great rebuttal to the morons who think that Iris loved the Flash and not Barry (though there are plenty of other moments that show this too) but like...sorry, cheating (especially both of them cheating) isn't romantic to me and never will be (and YES I know about the punching bag scene, okay, I have eyes, BUT that was not intentionally romantic. The 1x15 kiss was!). To me, their Big Damn Kiss in canon was that sunlit kiss on the porch

What made you ship it? Spite at first, honestly. Iris and Caitlin get pitted against each other so often by shippers, it's exhausting. And then I read Milk and Sugar by @fezwearingjellybananas (literally THE Snowest fic series of all time) and suddenly something clicked for real. I've been aboard this ship ever since 💞

What are your favorite things about the ship? They're a very opposites attract type of ship, but in a way that I think works! Caitlin is more guarded and awkward, and although Iris can also be guarded at times, she's generally more outgoing and confident. I've always believed the headcanon that Caitlin struggles with making female friends - due to her upbringing, the mom she grew up with, that makes perfect sense to me. So having a girlfriend like Iris, the It Girl who nevertheless is warm and generous to everyone and gets through Caitlin's defenses (Caitlin, who is cold and aloof as a defense mechanism learned from her mother)...ooh I LOVE THAT! Plus, they're also both similar: no-nonsense pacifists who will throw down if necessary. So not total opposites - they're similar enough to really work as a couple

also, established Snowest would provide some great angst for the s3 Killer Frost plotline...whether you go with canon's interpretation of "oh no Caitlin and KF are different people", or my preferred interpretation of "they're the same person" 👀 alternatively, Iris's warmth getting through Caitlin/KF's cold exterior could be a bit of fluff in the midst of angst. I sorta tapped into the latter with this prompt fill, tho ofc that's with them as friends rather than as a ship

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? That it's Caitlin's best non-canon ship 🤷‍♀️ also, even from a platonic perspective, the show should've given them more friendship moments - aside from s1 and s4, we get scraps, and it's so sad
