I think we as a society have forgotten the significantly deep and intimate form of relationship known as companionship
#not romance!!!! not everything deep is a romance!!!!!! that idea will only ruin ur romances!!!! tbh!#but going through something with people! going alongside them! that’s Deep! that’s intimate! that’s important!#this is what happens to me when you let me watch a ship show#*as in a show with a bunch of people on a ship#watching the Boys skirt death and danger and take care care of each other like!!!!!! yes! yes!!!!! people just care about each other deeply#sometimes!!! you know!!!!!!#but to have that kind of relationship you have to Stay. which is why I think we think deep relationships are only romantic. because those#are the only ones left that have to Stay in contemporary society#and even then. it’s more like Stay for a little bit nowadays#but a Comrade in Arms? a Companion? yeahgggg

#that is why I love stuff like The Mentalist#or Rings of Power#or the novel Dracula#if you know some history you also know that there were plenty of people who were bff but on a deep level#relationships today have become so shallow#(even the romantic ones of you think about that)#but guys we need relationships on a deeper level!
