Haven't really checked my inbox in a minute imma be real. But I'm very glad to hear you and your friends have been liking the AU (despite it having been in an indefinite hiatus lmaooo) the AU **MIGHT** be coming back if my current returned interest in sonic stays for long enough. If I do decide to bring it back I'll make a post officially announcing it.

and yeah my AU boom!sonic is a very sleep deprived little guy.

The significance of "17", if I remember correctly (it's been a minute since I've thought of the more intricate details of this AU) for sonic is that he was Dr. Thorndyke's 17th (and last) attempt at Project Light (who is a scientific experiment created with the goal of harnessing the powers of one of the Halves of Solaris, known as Iblis the Flame)

Project Shadow on the other hand, is the one and only of himself (the ultimate lifeform) whose original creation under Gerald Robotnik was, like Project Light, meant to harness the powers of one of the two halves of Solaris, his being Mephiles the dark.

The Bio lizard and the Chaos clones were part of a failed abandoned project of trying to harness the God powers of recreating Chaos themselves.

Iblis and Mephiles are some of the gods the Ancients worshipped before the collapse of their old civilization, the two are quite literally halves of a bigger God (Solaris, who does not have a design in the AU yet).

It's important to remember in this AU that despite the two being created within the same facility/on ARK, they are not related by blood at all.

Shadow still retains his black arms DNA (with a twist) and was created by Gerald and his team,

Sonic's DNA is that of one of the preserved remains of one of the royal children from the collapse of the Ancients, and he was created by Thorndyke and his team

(and he and Gerald had very... Clashing views on the ethics/morals of how they treated their respective creations.)

Dr. Thorndyke was not a nice man, from the few interactions shadow and maria had with him. He was a very secretive man when it came to any version of Project Light. They didn't even meet our Project Light - ver. 17 (who we all know as Sonic) until 3 years before shit hit the fan - to say the least.

Shadow, while being in stasis for 50 yrs had his memories slightly tampered with, while he remembers most of ARK, he does not remember sonic (but feels unusually drawn to him for some unexplainable reason) and Sonic had been accidentally sent 50yrs into the future instead, but unlike shadow he has lost all of his memories on ARK - poor blue couldn't even remember his own name (dubbed 'Little Light' by Maria) and was largely mute until he met Tails and Co. His name "Sonic" technically came from Eggman, constantly referring to him as a "SuperSONIC nuisance" lmao

Yeeesss the poll-not-poll thingy xD This chapter has been in the works for months now, so it wasn't a sudden thing! But you actually guessed right under that post and it was a struggle to not tell you "Bingo!" XD

I'm very glad to know you liked the Reiner POV tho T_T I admit it was quite difficult to actually put into words; severe depression, especially the physical manifestation of it, is tricky to actually explain seriously without it sounding silly. Imo a lot of the ways depression shows up in daily life are very quiet and "tiny" - for example, Reiner's struggle to get out of bed and the sudden confusion that envelopes him as he stands in the middle of his room and doesn't know what to do next.

Also fuck Karina man, I hope she falls in the lake and freezes over 🌚 maybe she can take Mrs Leonhart with her too👀

I laughed SO hard xD Glad to know you all hate her! Horrible reptile indeed.

On a serious note, I think... the warrior parents (with the exception of Pieck's father who seems, for the lack of more information, quite nice actually) might've actually had their eyes opened to the cruelty they dealt their children, but such realizations imo aren't total 180s. Both Mr. Leonhart and Karina are different now, yes, they no doubt value Annie and Reiner as actual people more than just as tools, but... it's highly likely they both also continue to hurt their children, probably unwittingly. Parents who view their children as trophies do not easily come down to a level where they are content with just the happiness of said children. I won't get into Mr. Leonhardt right now (to be discussed at a later point), but while Karina might really love Reiner, his status as Hero and Ambassador is still valuable to her. He is still a trophy son, someone she can show off to others. I don't say Karina does this intentionally, but it is incredibly harmful behaviour, especially to a vulnerable son like Reiner.

Okay wait I rambled, sorry xD

CONNIE BTW, IS THE ONLY ONE WITH THE SINGLE VALUABLE BRAINCELL AT THE MOMENT (among the six). I hc he'd really love community projects - hence gingerbread town, it's kinda funny he'd be the only one so fired up about it xD That said poor guy has his work cut out for him now, so RIP Connie Boy.

I also want to take a moment to appreciate LEVI IN THIS CHAPTER

Aaaahhhh I really loved writing him doing such a silly activity, it was very heartwarming. So I'm trying to make a Captain Laserhawk joke (turned kinda serious?) AU where the characters lean more into their game counterparts in looks, personalities, and even stories (except for Dolph because he doesn't have a game counterpart to speak of, so he's the guy who literally has no real idea on what's goin on x11) (and I guess Bullfrog's left to be untouched because he's fine) while the comedy's also cranked up a lot more, and I've already made a post explaining the main cast, but upon doing my research on how to understand the source source material more through people's posts, I stumbled upon your "Orphans of Eden" AU and discovered certain parallels between it and my AU:

Jade and Pey'j find Dolph unconscious in the past and decide to fix him up and treat him like family. This leads to Dolph and Jade forming a nice sibling bond (and also Pey'j is much more like a caring, sane uncle in both AUs)

Rayman works for the good guys as a double agent of sorts and doesn't get guns out of nowhere? •o• (although I guess the main difference is that in your AU he actually gets to do stuff while in my AU he's just some mostly pacifist guy who doesn't want to totally ruin his reputation but he still tags along because Bullfrog gave him some food so now he trusts the gang now even though he's more conflicted with their beliefs lol)

Hmm, what else, what else, uhh... I guess Alex didn't show up before Jade and Pey'j found Dolph, so that's a bonus..! (Though, in my AU, Dolph still went through whatever happened in episode 1 of the series but it's like... a different guy we don't know of yet while Alex is working in this organization called "S.P.I.R.I.T." as an agent mentoring rookie agents and stuff because of his backstory in "The Crew")

And I think that's about it. I really like the concept of your AU and I hope that mine's about on par with yours :D

Nice! it's always fun to see people come up with alternate universe concepts ^-^ It's nice to imagine a more playful version of CLH. It feels a little 'Super Smash bros'-y, which fits Rayman's personality at the very least and allows characters like Jade and Alex to be a bit more relaxed. If anything it's an opportunity to add more game elements from different Ubisoft properties. How about a nod to Valiant Hearts, Tonic Trouble or Child of Light?

I like how Alex and Bullfrog team up too. That's a unique idea. It would be interesting to see how their very different perspectives on life affect how they interact, what their moral standings are and how those contrast one another.

I will say I found it really distracting how the characters were called 'Farts' over and over. I'm sure it's a reference to something but it made it really hard to take the plotlines of the characters seriously, and any serious aspects of their backstories (being used as a tool of Eden, getting into fights, death of families and friends) were undermined by its inclusion.

I'm glad you like Orphans of Eden! I really need to draw more stuff for it. I wanted to draw some of the orphan hybrids Jade, Pey'j and Dolph are caring for XD

Uhhm, so let's move on to Mudd.

He is really easy to describe because I spent barely any time making him.

I'd just started the AU and needed some bully guy. And then ended up making him Red's nemesis- By accident-

Uh.. Mudd has an arm canon on his left arm, and he can use it to funnel his acidic mud wherever he pleases at varying pressure rates.

Due to the acidic qualities, and occasional rocky clumps within the dirt substance, it does pack more of a punch than it might sound.

Mudd doesn't really create mud out of thin air, it's more like he manipulates the dirt around him and makes it into acidic mud via his sweat because I thought the way Bakugo's quirk in MHA worked was epically awesome and took creative liberties-

Then he can manipulate his mud into the arm canon and fire it out quicker than he could utilize effort to thrust it himself. Energy saver.

Uhm. He's a bulky figure. Simple brown-themed costume with maybe occasional black, no cape, generic mask.

All I know is that Whiskey is more greener themed, because his abilities are relatable to the nausea effect in Minecraft.

It's actually attached to his mask, which is green and gold themed, so the monocle doesn't easily get knocked off if he moves too fast or something.

The fight scene eludes me at the moment, so I keep writing more color gang shenanigans for future chapters instead- And probably a good thing too, since the ending homestretch of Arc One really didn't give our Color Quad the spotlight they deserve, so I'm putting more focus on them in Arc Two~

Primal is cool. She's got emo vibes, but is browner/tan themed rather than black or something you'd find on an emo-stereotypical design. 

She prefers practical over stylish canonically, but ends up appearing rather well-designed anyway, in the eyes of others.

And her hair alternates from side, over-the-shoulder braids, to long back-ponytails on a whim.

Yes, Vic has a side braid too, but it isn't that long so it sticks out sideways in the back, and doesn't touch the shoulder.

Primal's hair is also a different length. It's aboooout mid-upper chest. :)

I think the reader's ability is a great and beautiful choice. It's not overpowering to change the plot or invite plot holes but powerful enough to impact everyday life. It really keeps me asking if the reader is using her ability on a certain situation or not and I really love that feature.

AHHHHHH I'M SO GLAD U ENJOYED IT ive had soooooo much fun writing civzai and pmreader. IT'S DEFINITELY MUCH MORE LIGHTHEARTED THAN ANY OF THE OTHER SERIES SO FAR but don't worry the drama starts in the next chapter LOLLLL and it doesn't slow down from there. YESSSSS PM READER IS SO FUN TO WRITE like she's alwaysssss fun to write but it's particularly fun being able to write her from the viewpoint of dazai as a civilian who isn't like used to seeing her already. like she's very similar in the original universe but dazai has known her for so long there that he's become used to her yk, meanwhile this dazai sees her in a very fresh light if u get what i mean. it's the change in perspective that's so fun to write here

AND OMG IM GLAD - i was so conflicted about how to phrase/what to make her ability because i didn't want to make it too op but at the same time .. she's a port mafia executive, she needs to have a pretty notable ability, and then i was like wait ... her whole thing is politics and negotiations, so obviously it has to be something along the lines of fucking with ppl's minds/brains, but i needed to obviously whittle that down because mind control is just too ridiculous, so i got the idea of her being able to like induce emotions + states onto people BUT they're able to draw themselves out of it if they have the strength for it.

some things are easier to brush off, but other things aren't. like she can put people to sleep with her ability and they can't really drag themselves out of that because now they're sleeping, and inducing fear in particular is pretty hard for people to draw themselves out of because it spirals quickly. but for negotiations and stuff, when she's making them feel as if she's more trustworthy/more susceptible to taking bad terms, she has to be SO careful & calculated with her every word because any small thing could make them double take and jar them out of the induced state.

actually, in civzai universe, it's going to be really interesting because without dazai there to stop chuuya from using corruption, reader and chuuya had to figure out a way to knock him out of it themselves - which they DID and it involves her ability but it's SOOOO dangerous for her so they end up not really using corruption often. this actually comes up in the next chapter

Halsin gives Hector a comfortable smile as he approaches, a pleasant nod of the head. "You would think someone of my vintage would be inured to the passage of time," he says lightly. "Yet these past six months have seemed endless without your company. But now our paths cross once more..."

(A/N: Interestingly, one of Hector's potential responses here is "You sound almost sentimental considering we didn't really get along." I guess I never got Halsin's approval up very high - despite the fact that he was definitely super in love with Hector at one point. XD They were friends in my head though, approval numbers aside.)

"The feeling's mutual," Hector says warmly. "I've missed you."

He can hear the weight of feeling under Halsin's words and knows that the unspoken truth still hangs between them - that Halsin would have loved Hector gladly if Hector had been open to the possibility. But it remains unspoken, as Halsin promised it would, and Hector is glad to see him; Halsin was always a steadfast bulwark of the group and a source of wisdom and reassurance to Hector personally.

Halsin hesitates, then nods. "We have all pined for each other's company, I sense. I cannot imagine otherwise, after what we shared. That bond was forged in a crucible that can never be stoked again, Oak Father willing. It is a bond that can weather any distance, any passage of time." His eyes flick away and he takes a heavy draught of ale from the mug in his and. "I know it can, for I feel the longing for old friends in my heart each day."

Hector raises his eyebrows. It suddenly strikes him that Halsin - who often kept to himself quietly in camp - is terribly lonely, to a degree that he never articulated, and that that loneliness has become a settled thing in him with the dispersal of the group out to their separate adventures.

"You sound like you need a hug," he says with a cautious smile.

Halsin blinks, and then his eyes brighten. "I always do," he murmurs. "Should I ever decline, assume a doppelganger has taken my place."

It's not an official request, but it's pretty close, and Hector obliges.

It is like hugging a tree trunk; Halsin's torso is almost too thick and sturdy for Hector to properly get his arms around. But Halsin's embrace is solid and fierce and warm, and Hector finds that he is comforted by it as much as giving comfort himself. I should have asked for a hug from you more often back in our adventures... he thinks with a slight smile to himself. We both might have benefited from it.

He lets the hug last as long as Halsin wants it to; when the other man finally draws back, he is smiling, and a little of the tension has gone out of his face.

"That was more than worth the wait," he says softly.

Hector, much to his own surprise, realizes that he agrees. "I'm sure there will be more where that came from," he says with the flash of a grin.

Halsin laughs softly. "Rest assured, my arms will be ready." He takes another drink of his ale. "Now, we have much to catch up on. Do not allow me to ramble on - I am eager to hear all you have been doing."

Hector shakes his head. There are many stories of the Hells to tell, no doubt, but he wonders what sort of fare they would make for a party atmosphere like this. It has not been easy. "You first, Halsin," he says. "I want to hear about the life you've made, the people you've helped."

Halsin chuckles. "In that case, very well," he says agreeably. "Our community grows rapidly; in six months we have turned what was once a shadowy wasteland into a true home for all. In another six months, I would wager the scars of the past will be entirely invisible even to those who remember them. The old masonry of Moonrise Towers and Reithwin have been repurposed into new homes, and the land is rich with harvests and bountiful trees. Nature and civilization are in harmony, stronger together."

A bright smile spreads over Hector's face. This is tremendous news; he has wondered about what would become of the lands so newly released from the shadow curse and the once-Selunite town that was shattered apart by it. To hear that it is being renewed with life again is an absolute balm to one quiet injured corner of his heart. "Sounds wonderful," he says.

"It is, truly," Halsin agrees. "Though a more complex, evolving beast than I could ever have anticipated. I spoke often of balance before; only now do I realize that balance is no simple fixed thing. We welcome folks from all walks of life, anyone who wishes for a new start. Naturally it has been chaotic at times, but it is a thrilling sort of chaos. It thrives in ways I could never have dreamed of."

"I'll need to see this place for myself," Hector says eagerly. It would do him a great deal of good to see Reithwin thriving again. And he has some hopes that he and Karlach and Wyll may be able to establish some type of reliable way for them to come back to the material plane more often. In a way the visit for this party is a sort of test - to see how well Karlach's heart holds up to short visits, to examine the portal Withers used to bring them here.

Halsin smiles. "You are welcome whenever you like, and for however long you please." He waves a hand energetically. "Now please, tell me all, and spare no details. I shall not lie - I have an ulterior motive in wishing to hear all. It is the children, you see - my charges."

His eyes glint with amusement. "Their appetite for bedtime tales is greater than I could ever have anticipated. 'Another story, Daddy Halsin, another!' is the chorus that greets me each nightfall. They have all but exhausted my repertoire in but a few short months. No mean feat, given the lifetime I have lived. I desperately need new material, please. My reputation is at stake."

Hector laughs softly. He knew in general terms that Halsin had taken on a number of young wards as part of beginning the rebuilding of Reithwin and the surrounding area, but the mental image is easier to conjure now. And he can well believe that Halsin makes a good father to them all.

"All right," he says thoughtfully. "Let me see what I have..."

Hector scours his mind for tales of his battles in the Hells that are not too bloody, not too terrifying for children, not too depressing for a reunion between friends. He never considers himself much of a storyteller - but his memory is his greatest strength, and he can provide quite a lot of detail.

So he speaks of the more glorious battles, a campaign they waged against an enclave of Zariel's forces near the House of Hope, in as much detail as he can, for Halsin to take home to the children.

Recount fighting alongside Karlach against the devils and demons.

Halsin smiles with only the faintest hint of melancholy. "Karlach is truly lucky to have you in her life. Even the Hells themselves cannot dim the love you share," he says mildly. "Now, it would be cruel of me to hoard you all to myself for the evening, as much as I would like to. I shall leave you to the others for now - unless there was anything else."

Hector does have a few questions. "Tell me about Thaniel and Oliver - do you see much of them?"

"Quite often - they come and go as they please, but with so many playmates to avail of, they are far from strangers. They ask after you often. What you did for them will never be forgotten - I can see it in the land all around me, but more importantly I see it in their faces whenever they visit. To make a child smile is to dabble with the power of gods, as far as I am concerned."

"Still partial to roaming in bear form, I take it?"

"I spend half my days in ursine form. The children demand it! I had a score of them taking turns riding upon my back just days ago. I am glad they are so comfortable with the Oak Father's creations, but they must learn that not all are as amiable as I am. A lesson for another time, though; they deserve some joy. As for roaming... that impulse has dwindled, I must admit. Perhaps because I have found where I am meant to be."

"You seem more settled than I expected of you. I thought that was against your nature."

"As did I... but somehow I feel like I no longer need to roam, that I have found something worthy of laying roots for. Amazing what can be discovered about oneself, even at a ripe old age."

Meta Knight doesn't have Mouthful-mode in my particular AU- Combo-mode is more Sworn Partner-flavored which is I why I went with it. But also for some reason I literally cannot bring myself to draw Meta consuming automobiles and vending machines. Too wild of a concept for me! But if anyone reading this is capable of doing so, I welcome the possibility HAHA

I had to hold onto this ask for a while because you gave me some really good food for thought! As of now I don't have plans to swap any of them since they don't play a big part in the comic but if I get struck by divine inspiration, I'll have you to thank for putting the idea in my head!

Stubborn knight!! I think he's so used to being self-sufficient that he dislikes being "coddled" by others and prefers to take things into his own hands. This is actually something the comic will explore down the line! I've interpreted some other possible reasons why he's so stubborn about this but it will have to be revealed in the future ;)

The above were my very first Roleswap drawings back in April 2022! It was born purely out of my desire to see a badass Bandee boss fight and I had just finished the Forgotten Land game. I started at the top and ended up with the designs at the bottom right- with a few additional changes these became the final versions! I wanted him to have more of an Awoofy silhouette since I figured they're a great equivalent to Popstar's Waddle Dees!

An AU creation fun fact: I initially just swapped Bandee and Dedede! I drew the above that same month- this is supposed to be the cutscene before the Winter Horns boss where the big reveal happened! Kirby was P1 and Dedede was P2. I didn't even create Roleswap Elfilis yet!

But the more I explored the possibilities, the more roles I swapped. It took me like another month to actually have the Sworn Partners be the "playable" characters, shuffle the Beast Pack around, and finish the rest of the swaps.

That was a long-winded way of saying, thanks for liking Roleswap Bandee!! I owe the little Awoofy Dee a lot because without him I wouldn't be having a blast making this AU!!

Ahh thank you so very much!! Combo moves were so fun to make haha. I love some good teamwork.

And yes, I love writing their dynamic too! I figured if they already understood each other perfectly at the beginning of the story, it would be kinda boring. Don't get me wrong, they are already pretty close in the beginning- enough to tease and be prickly idiots with each other while still maintaining that respect between them! :P But they are going to have some nice opportunities to get to know each other better, build even more trust, and reach a deeper understanding~! <3

I have all the rest of the days of HSMTMTS week to catch up on so quickly:

Day 2 Favorite Dynamic

I have to say Seblos or just the family dynamic.

About Seblos. I believe Seb and Carlos were the first canonically queer characters/couple I saw in anything since I knew what being queer was. Not only was it a show I very much related to from a theatre standpoint, but it was my first known queer representation, before I even knew I was queer. They also just have a beautiful wholesome relationship (excepting season 4), teens who love each other. To me, they last forever. I think the way their fates tie together is very significant and they're great for each other. I'll also be in denial about season 4 until I die, but whatever lol. It doesn't change the fact that they will always be my first canonical queer ship, from one of the most important shows to me. No matter what happened in those four seasons, they will always be extremely important to me. And I'm happy with that :). Their dynamics is sweet and funny and loving and I'm so glad they got their happy ending <3. I love them so much :').

And the found family as a whole. Theatre was a family for me - is, still. When I felt like I had no one else, I had my theatre family, no matter what we went through. The family in HSMTMTS has a lot more drama than mine, but that's the thing: no matter what, you come back to each other. 1x06 is still what gets me, after all this time. They didn't hang out outside of school, not all of them. They weren't totally bonded yet. But there was something. They were there, maybe for the last time together, but they were together. And throughout everything that happened over the seasons, that stayed true. Even when some of them were trying to hate each other, they were still there. They all support each other, they all love each other, and they put on great (if role-switching confusing lol) shows together. Their family, especially seeing it be created in season 1, will always be so important to me. I love them all so much <3.

And lastly, here's another bit of a WIP lol! It's a post canon HSMTMTS chatfic and I really love it, I just want to write more before posting any of it.

Oh boy, okay

What I like:

The Map and the sheer amount of passion that was so clearly put into it. Not a single room within the Pizzaplex is empty and even very similar rooms that could've been simply copy-pasted have their own unique features setting them apart (good example for that are the party rooms in the daycare). You can play SB 100 times and still find new corners of the pizzaplex full of detail. I really love the map and wish you would be more encouraged to explore all of the Pizzaplex in game.

The Character designs. I'm a huuuge sucker for good character design and while I do have my gripes with some of the designs (Where are Glam Bonnies claws, Steelwool??) I overall find all of the designs for the characters, and especially animatronics, to be appealing and fun to draw.

The Animatronics in general. I at first wasn't actually a fan of the animatronics having their own personalities but they've really grown on me! I like that Gregory isn't just defending himself against mindless machines but sentient beings seemingly capable of thought and feeling distress and even pain. I like that this makes Gregory, despite still very much being a scared child, a more "morally grey" character. And that's not even mentioning the personalities of each animatronic. I really like how all of the band members in SB (not counting Bonnie cuz he isn't in SB) seem to balance each other out and have very distinct personalities.

The soundtrack is fire. Enough said

The bugs. HEAR ME OUT. I personally love seeing people take games apart and break them beyond repair. And conveniently, SB does most of the breaking on its own xD. I somehow find all of the bugs kind of endearing? Like, Giga Monty, Quantum Freddy, the broken pathfinding for the animatronics, it all adds charm for me ^^

The Daycare Attendant. Idk they're just my favorite character and I love them so much! Really glad SteelWool decided to keep using them.

What I dislike:

The bugs. While I personally find the sheer brokenness of the game entertaining, I cannot deny that it's absolutely ridiculous to release and leave a game in such a state. SB is STILL a broken mess, SteelWool seems to have simply given up on salvaging it... The bugs can also lead to incredibly frustrating circumstances, which is never fun.

The sheer size of the game in general. SteelWool bit off wayyyy more than they could chew and it shows, unfortunately. The map is gigantic and while it is clearly made with love, it becomes hard to apprechiate that when you're currently bugging through walls and getting lost due to it being too large. Scotts meddling with the grander story of Security Breach certainly doesn't help.

How dirty they did my girl Vanny. Seriously, this was supposed to be her debut game and yet she was almost completely cut from it and reduced to the point where you can legitimately replace her with a cardboard cutout and nothing would change :/

The weird sexualization of Vanny also??? Like, WHY is Glitchtrap allowed to look all menacing and creepy but Vanny has to be waifu fodder? :( Why is her costume skin tight but Glitchtraps is allowed to look loose and have stuffing (at the thighs i think at least) for a more cartoony look? Why is she posed so weirdly in the "Vanny boss battle" when she presses that button? Why does she arch her back like that? She's supposed to be a victim of mind control, forced to copy the actions of William Afton/Glitchtrap while serving him. Who thought "let's also make her sexy" was a good idea?

The writing. I know SB suffered SEVERELY thanks to Scott being an incompetent idiot who thought it was a good idea to not tell the developers of the game what kind of game they were supposed to be developing but I'm disappointed regardless. Scott seemingly cutting things like Vannys knife and Gregory cutting his arm on a vent certainly didn't help, considering he was cutting the remaining 30% of story that the game had left. I don't even want to mention Burntrap or the Tangle/Blob.

What would I change and why?

Assuming I can't just magically make Scott and Steelwool rewrite SB completely, I'll keep it realistic and just wish for more patches.

More updates. Bug fixes, Performance enhancements. Adjusting the subtitles and formatting them correctly to actually not be complete ass (I feel sorry for any deaf/HOH people playing SB) aswell as small edits to the game to match Ruin (like the Daycare Attendants faceplate having the wrench attachement)

Re-implemening stuff is realistically off the table but goddammit I want Vanny to actually serve a purpose in HER game. I want her to have more agency and dialogue. Gregory too. Just a few lines here and there would suffice

Fixing how confusing the tasks are sometimes by implementing something like a "hint" system. Maybe Gregory could ask Freddy for help and Freddy simply tells him the location he wanted to go to. Doesn't require a ton of effort and would really help new players who have never played the game!

Go back and animate each ending. Don't get me wrong, I like the comic style but it just screams "we only had time to actually animate one ending" to me. At Least animating the Princess Quest ending would be nice. Or polishing the comics a little more?

The horror elements. It's no secret that SB isn't actually really scary. It's a shame for an installment in a horror franchise but I personally can live with it. But it still feels like such a missed opportunity! Imagine how different the game could feel if you just adjusted the atmosphere a little. The Pizzaplex is actually dark, only lit up by the occasional Staff-bots flashlight and neon signs on the wall. The speakers don't play any music, making everything eerily quiet. That is, except for the noises of groaning vents and heavy footsteps around you. An empty mall at night, usually filled with noises and people, only it's empty now, and to make it worse: you're not alone. The Pizzaplex would be such a good set piece for some liminal horror. :(

That's all I could think of for now! It's a long ass list but I have long ass feelings about SB. I obviously absolutely love the game but I'm not blind either, I can see what's wrong with it and why others might not like it.

I personally feel Penalteam was way too rushed and Qilin was convoluted to hell and back

Let's start with things I liked:

Qilin:

Sabine is just amazing? Everywhere? It's so cool to see that Marinette inherited her quick thinking from Sabine, and it's nice to see the life of someone else for once.

Ladybug should've let Qilin maim a few cops. As a treat. Especially that meter maid on a power trip. I was nervous that Qilin would be a lesser version of Stormy Weather (just having wind powers) but it's cool that she can split the earth and levitate things as heavy as police vans without even moving from her spot.

Chat Noir really shined in his scenes, I'm proud of him.

The contrast of Qilin shaking off her akuma because Ladybug fulfilled a promise to Penalteam shaking off her akuma because they managed to make her hate soccer and her clone team is really funny to me (and again proves how cool Sabine is)

Penal Team:

The Pre-akuma soccer game was fun, and so was the banter. Cracks me up that Alix wanted a girl vs boy duel and Kim was like "but then we'll LOSE!" XD. And finding out Sabrina and Marc are soccer nerds, like, whoda thunk? (And Nathaniel dragging his feet is such a mood, like, no I DON'T want to kick a ball I want to DRAW plz)

Adrien doesn't know how to play soccer? Uhhhh (Furious Fu Flashbacks) guess he's just good at improv.

Bustier I-always-have-Chloe's-back got red carded first, yessss.

The sheer scale of doing a city wide soccer game with super heroes is just awesome to watch, like, yes, launch the ball half way across Paris to Ladybug.

I'm glad to know the remaining powers, they're pretty cool and I can see them being very useful in multiple situations.

The ability "Fetch" was cute, especially the way Miss Tracker played off her touching the ball with her...dog whistle? Guys this episode was recorded on a potato so I might've missed some details visually.

Again, it's very funny that after Roi Singe uses Uproar on Penalteam, they get so annoyed with each other that Chloe basically hands over the akuma object to make them all go away.

I like that being a hero makes Nathaniel want to join the team to play soccer and I like that Sabrina stands her ground when Chloe wants her to stop playing and join her on the bench.

Aaaand now the things that annoy me:

Qilin -

How you gonna have Sabine show off her being so rooted in her heritage but pretend she didn't teach Marinette even basic phrases in her language?

You put Lila in her art class WHY? She's not even DOING anything, you could've put ANYONE there! It's like the Adrien Rule where they shove her into places she's not needed and doesn't do anything so that we don't forget she exists!

Roger, dude, you KNOW she's not making up a daughter, you could at LEAST back her up on THAT. And thanks a lot Bus Driver Dude who SAW HER USE HER TICKETS, you don't want to say ANYTHING in her defense after she gave you free food? You're all trash.

Marinette shouldn't have taken responsibility for a up-himself meter maid on a power trip harassing her mom and shouldn't have offered to pay, that was the most shoved in, forced, last second "let's make this about Marinette's failings" thing and it wasn't NECESSARY. This episode really said ACAB but still made the victim of injustice apologize to the Cop.

Seeing the Charms now just makes me depressed, congrats Sabine, that'll be useless one episode from now.

PenalTeam -

Bustier really put together this team building exercise for the class that acts like a Hive Mind, like, this class is nearly always in sync because otherwise they'd be individuls

I know Chloe hates Ladybug now or whatever but no one around her is freaked out that she's openly talking about waiting for Shadowmoth to help her get her "revenge" now?? No one else hears this shit???? Hell, THAT could've been Sabrina's wake up call, cuz, wut?!

I hate Mega Akumas. They could've at least made it that Shadowmoth needed to sacrifice a protective Charm to make a Mega Akuma. With Chloe actively on his side, she could've just handed hers over at some point, that even would've solidified her ACTUALLY working with him.

Penalty (the akuma is named Penalty and her team is PenalTeam and it took me too long to put that together) casts this giant yellow net over the city as like "boundaries" and it puts a gross yellow filter over the episode which is why all the screenshots and leaks up to this point have looked like shit.

While it was meta smart to get Alix and Alya out of the way early to justify not giving Alix a miraculous in The Team episode and also not give away that Alya still has the Fox, it is sad that they also used this method to get rid of Viperion and Ryuko (who would've been OP against this akuma) and Pigella (who is pretty useless powerwise...but so was Polymouse, so, wut?). Just kinda thought if they were gonna summon the whole team, they'd USE the whole team.

I'm sad that the remaining heroes didn't get a debut episode to prove themselves as heroic. I said the same for Party Crasher back with Kim's debut, but at least he exchanged SOME DIALOGUE with Fu. Here, it comes across like they weren't chosen because they're good people who deserve it. Hell, half of them were all but told "I chose you cuz you're good at soccer lol."

Also sad we didn't get transformation sequences or kwami intros that played up their individual personalities. I was looking forward to learning a little about Orikko who even in MOB episodes doesn't get many lines.

Also to give all 4 new heroes the same "Oh I can't be a hero because of [x] reason" speech to make Ladybug give them a "pep talk" to speed run justify them getting Miraculouses instead of, idk, BUILDING THEM UP AS HEROES was ughhhhh.

It's just extra frustrating because "Simpleman" exists instead of valid hero episode.

Though I liked the powers, it felt very contrived the way they tried to justify Caprikid's because it barely played into defeating PenalTeam. They made a big deal of it, but they could've just lied or skipped to Roi Singe's uproar. Caprikid probably could've used a different episode to showcase his ability (Genesis) to create anything he wanted.

They had Ladybug decide not to pass the ball ONE TIME and tried to make the episode about calling her out for not being a TEAM PLAYER alkdjfakldfj WUT?! She's been using her fellow team mates ALL SEASON, it's the BACKBONE of her and Chat Noir's beef, and now you wanna pull an "Antibug" and just PRETEND the rest of the season doesn't exist?! She even coordinated perfectly with Alya at the bEGINNING OF THE EPISODE, JUST LIKE WHEN LADYBUG LISTENED PATIENTLY TO THE BULTER IN "ANTIBUG" YET WAS CHASTISED FOR NOT LISTENING TO OTHERS LAKJFLAF!

Minotaurox's ability (Resistance) repels PenalTeam away from him like opposing magnets when they get too close, but the commentator says that his power makes him "impervious to all other powers"? But that's not what happened? If they wanted to show THAT then PenalTeam should've been shown red carding or touching him with her cleats but nothing happens. That's just a niggle since the commentator has no way in universe to know what the fuck he's talking about. It's just weird the writers gave him lines that are straight up lies.

Rooster Bold's ability (Supplemation) is so OP and a literal game changer if used right. He can choose any power he wants (I initially thought that meant he could "borrow" powers from his teammates or the akuma) but no! He just SAYS "I choose the power to score a goal every time I shoot the ball". So if he just said "I choose the power to teleport misused Miraculouses with the snap of my fingers..."

I cannot believe they gave Lila her first lines of the season to TEAM UP WITH CHLOE with 10 SECONDS OF THE EPISODE LEFT LKAJFLADFJ!

So... I usually (ejem... better said always, if I'm being honest XD) choose femShep in Mass Effect.

Long story short, I like to play characters in my own gender... Kinda helps a lot with the immersion, despite the fact that I look nothing like my main Shep. And, in the wise words of my brother: "If I'm gonna have to stare at an ass for hours of gameplay, I prefer it to be a woman's ass" (Nothing against men ass' on my part though... I mean, I'm a Kaidan stan 😳😳😳 but I'm week when it comes to females curves ehehehehehe sue me XD)

Anyways... Butt thing aside, I always play femShep. And the same femShep, Mio Shepard. Because I got the fanfic writer disease back when I was like 13 years old and I haven't found the cure yet, so... All I play, write and draw (because I didn't have enough obsessions already lol) related to the main ME trilogy is about my main shep and Kaidan.

I swear I'm about to make my point, stay with me for a little longer XD

Thing is, with the launch of MELE, I decided to see the mShenko romance for the first time (yep, first time... I imagine you can already tell, but I'm that kind of person that once she likes a game, she plays it a 1000 times but always in the exact same way and making the same choices in every single run).

So here we are, a year later, and here's the post about it 😅😅😅

As I told you before, I tend to focus on fShenko. I love the Shenko fandom as a whole, but from what I've seen and from the people I follow, fShenko is in need of more help, support and content than mShenko (I may be wrong here... but the moment your femshep likes dudes people tends to scream at you why you shouldn't be with Kaidan and my mission in life is to always be there to reply that idgaf about how many aliens they think I should bang XD)

Said all that, mShenko.

It's fucking awesome.

Period.

Like... Truly amazing.

Mesmerizing.

I may be biased here, because Kaidan's arc with his sexuality is very similar to my own, but, the whole "At the end of the day, I'd love you no matter what gender you were" is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my whole life.

I was also very surprised by the amount of differences there were between both romances... Both of them top tier. And, against all my expectations, I can comfortably say that they are equally good. So if you love Kaidan and you've only seen one side, I really recommend you to check the other (learn from my mistakes ehehehehe although I think I've enjoyed mShenko 10 times more than I would have before making a few discoveries about myself... so I'm kinda happy it took me so long. Now it feels more special to me <;3)

fShenko has all the young, pure~ish, forbidden, cute and heart-racing vibes in ME1 *chef's kiss* and then (after a bit of angst) you have the mature, long-lasting, I'd die for you romance that we all deserve.

mShenko, on the other hand, is more Kaidan focused in my opinion, which I truly like, and his realization of what is love (🎵) and what Shepard really means for him, which I find extremely cute and beautiful.

And I'll admit, I'm the first to complain about Bioware (perks of being a forever resident of the shenko vortex) but I have to congratulate them on the way they wrote mShenko in ME3.

I really thought it would be ultra cringy and forced, because that kind of evolution is not the easiest to write, but I was sooooooo wrong and I'm sooooooo glad that I was. So yay~ to Bioware on this one!

So, yup... I wanted to do a quick post and here we are now, an hour later ehehehehehe 😅😅

Anyways, and to wrap this up, just sharing an opinion (or ten) here... I was just thinking about it today and I felt like writing a post about it (there's always room for more Kaidan appreciation posts <3).

Not only do few people draw Guzma with Nihilego, "canon" also seem to forget that history with UBs.

I have the feeling after that encounter with Nihilego and what it did he'd stay as far away as possible from any UB. Yet in Masters he gets an alt costume with Buzzwole??? I never understood that... (and yes I'm aware that you can call Masters hardly Canon but still and this is why I put it in quotations... but at the same time Masters is the only sorce of SOME character for a lot of the characters of the Pokemon franchise since they don't play any role outside of gym leader or elite 4 member)

ANYWAY once again I'm very happy for the Guzma content on my dash~ and I'm very glad you didn't mind my hc from the other day~

(also personal note, I'm one of the few unfortunate people of having Guzma known as BROMLEY in my country and to this day I refuse to call him that)

THe UB's are actually so fucked up and yeah If I were in Guzmas shoes i'd stay as far away as possible after what he went through.

and yeeaaahh Masters is hardly canon content, so i get what you mean with the Buzzwole. UB's aren't even classified as pokemon, so fighting with them always seemed strange to me too.

I'm glad tho that my Guzma content makes not only myself but still other people happy xD my boy needs to get more love again!

👀 plagg (or all kwami, if there's not a lot to say abt him)

Thanks for the ask, anon! And I'm glad you said all the other kwamis so I can knock those all out. But firstly let's just talk Plagg. I still love Plagg. He's my favorite kwami to draw and I very much love cats but I also have my own little black cat. Hilariously, she also tries to eat everything in sight and is obsessed with dairy products. Ironically not cheese. (I am also pretty sure she has a crush on Chat Noir. Shh... don't tell her he's just a human kid in a cat costume). Anyway, so yes, I'm a bit bias. But also he actually helps his kid and when he doesn't it isn't wildly out of character like it is with Tikki. He's also funny which is super great. Also, let's take a moment to appreciate his English VA specifically because that guy goes hard when he voices characters. Max Mittleton is a gift, a treasure. Anyway, he's fun. And his friendship with Adrien is to die for. He also tends to be the character that basically speaks for the audience and I love those characters. XD He's a stupidly adorable, irresponsible but loving, little kitty who I adore. I hated what they did to him in the NY Special because Plagg was pretty much the only character improving and they just went and threw that all away but now in s4 they love to act like that never happened but I remember... :' D So, since there's 19 kwamis (20 if you count Liiri 21 if you count that one kwami in Shanghai which I don't because I didn't get to know them), I'll be rating each kwami out of 20. So Plagg gets a 19/20. Not perfect but I still love the little man. Now let's talk about the other kwamis... You could probably hear me sighing from here. Tikki used to be my favorite kwami (next to Nooroo) but I don't care for her at all now. Especially after Dearest Family. She's now extremely unhelpful, encourages Marinette's bad choices, and apparently can't control herself at all when she gets hangry. Also, yet another adult figure in Marinette's life who has the downfall of hangry for some dumb reason. She's also no longer any fun to draw anymore because I cannot figure out how to properly draw her and make her look more like a ladybug while still keeping the show's style. Still, I hold season 1 Tikki very close to my heart and she's at least not stupidly annoying so... 10/20. Nooroo. I freaking hate his English voice. I don't remember his French one if I ever heard it but hopefully it's better? He also deserved antennas and prettier wings. Anyway, I know he technically hasn't gotten much focus but I do still really like him. Despite his kind of ugly design I still got a stuffed Nooroo and a Nooroo keychain as well as that huge Nooroo sticker. I really like Nooroo. He's kind of my favorite kwami and I feel very bad for him (especially since in the future he is still subjected to the same dumb, horrible fate because I guess the writers hate him :' D). But despite he's my favorite, Plagg is still obviously better so it wouldn't be fair to rate him above Plagg... 15/20. Wayzz was ruined just like Tikki. I miss season 1 Wayzz so much. He's honestly just a 9/20 because his supremely stupid decision to crawl on the ground to try and see Master Fu still makes me laugh at how dumb it was. He's annoying now like most of the kwamis. His dumb little antenna still annoys the heck out of me too because it in no way relates to a turtle and you can't even argue it's a kwami thing since some of the kwamis still don't have those things. Plus his is absurdly thick compared to the others... but he looks so dumb when you draw him without it and that drives me insane. Trixx is okay. 10/20 for them as well. They're freaking annoying but they look better than Wayzz and Nooroo and they're still kind of fun to watch. Plus, Trixx's relationship with Alya I hold very close to my heart. Pollen has no personality really and I actually preferred her concept where she didn't really have pupils or irises. I liked it so much I can only remember her like that even though she's not like that. She also got very annoying like the rest of the kwamis. 5/20 for probably being one of the

least annoying ones... Dusuu is super cute. Haven't seen much of him but he's super precious. (I call the kwamis by the gender I was kind of introduced to them as even if it wasn't the majority choice except Dusuu who I just think should be male because he's designed after a male peacock. Yes, the English dub made me very bitter. I really like animals. XD) I feel super bad for him too and I find him a bit more fun than Nooroo (sadly). I also like that he shifts emotions so drastically. Also his design is perfect and I love drawing him (though I do wish the bird kwamis got like real wings but I know that's hard in CGI so I won't blame them. I also tend to dial up his design a bit by giving him eyelash dots because I can). 17/20. Fluff was fun upon their first introduction. I was also partial to them because of the pastel blue and the time travel. And when I was a child bunnies used to be my favorite animal. I like drawing them with a Wonderlandiful kind of vibe (yes I stole that word from Ever After High and no I'm not sorry). As much as I'm not really a huge fan of the bunny being so heavily modeled after the white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland (especially since that was arguably the more down to earth character compared to the rest of them) I still can't say I hate it. They're super fun to draw. Stupidly annoying now though. 9/20. Xuppu is okay? I barely really got to know him. I really need to rewatch Party Crasher in English to truly get it. He's stupidly annoying now though and I really don't like monkeys and apes all that much... I actually have a fear of apes and so that has kind of turned me away from monkeys too, to the point I kind of got them mixed up because my fear made me not really educate myself on that whole animal family. But he's super cute at least and I think kind of funny? Still, s4 really ruined the kwamis for me so... 5/20. Kaalki is a cool idea but I'm afraid I'm just not a fan of the whole pompous thing. I also think it's supremely weird she didn't go to like Chloe or Lila or something? I give them props for trying. Too bad she was ruined in s4 too. 5/20. Mullo had no real personality, or nothing I can remember. They also just became annoying in season 4 but they're at least kind of cute. 1/20. Sass was kind of fun. I find him to be chaotic evil and hilarious. I also kind of like his design. S4 almost ruined him but then went back and made him a tad better again so he gets to sit in 10/20 with Tikki. Longg is pretty much the same as Mullo but I like his design a bit less. I also think something went wrong with his CGI model? Props for finally being a kwami that's actually opposite the gender of his holder in the English dub. 1/20. Liiri means nothing to me but I can at least appreciate she has a decent design where she actually looks like her animal and was kind of cute. 1/20. Alright, as for the rest of them... they supremely annoy me. I can't believe they ruined the kwamis for me. I used to adore those little guys. RIP my love for the kwamis. -20/20 for all of them. I wish Marinette kept them locked in the box since that makes infinitely more sense especially since they all love to be absolute toddlers who disobey her and screw her over constantly. Yes! It is where I tried the cinnamon bun! My mother insisted that I try it! I'm not a huge fan of cinnamon, or really buns in general, but I did find it pretty tasty. Have you tried other types of buns before?

I was there to get a photo frame for the post card that Kotikaleo sent me! And my other wanted to poke around the Christmas decorations.

I have to say that I fell in love with the hug plush wolves they were selling. They were so so so very soft.

I also tried the apple cake with cream, it was quite nice I think!
