5) Would you rather write a happy ending that soothes the soul or a tragic ending that hurts the heart?

I would rather a bittersweet ending that does both but this is an either/or question so. A happy ending that soothes the soul. Which you would probably not expect from what I write. But it is still true. Even for villains. I want a happy ending.

It just might take a lot of tragedy to get there.

8) Favorite dialogue in your wip? (If asked more than once, respond with a new piece each time)

Uh. Let me go look through Of A Fatal Captivity for stuff.

...nope, not that, that's spoilers, can't do that one. ...I also will not cheat and give you remembered dialogue from Of An Endless Infinity that is in OAFC but. HM.

Okay, I have a non-spoilers segment (well, mostly non-spoilers) that I will share, but like. I'll put it at the end beneath the cut because it's long. But it's harder to find favorite dialogue in OAFC compared to OAEI because OAEI has. so much Junko being Junko, and so many of her lines are gold. And so much of her stuff with Kyoko is gold.

And then there's OAFC.

10) What scene was the most fun to write for you and why?

In my current WIP? There are so many fun scenes, but like. I honestly think the memory scenes are my favorite to right. They hurt. A LOT. because like. We as the readers know where things are now, we know the extra stuff that the people in the memories don't know (yet), and the memories are just. so. ugh. In OAEI, it's Kyoko gaining a gf and then trying to keep her through the end of the world (mostly). And in OAFC, so far it is baby Ryoko being a kid and just. kid stuff, which you know I love writing. But I love those scenes the most, I think.

(Also in general, not just in the duology, I love writing scenes with kids. Whether it's visiting the MCs as kids or having them interact with kids. Just like. I love writing kid scenes.)

18) What writers have inspired you with their use of language? What are some of your favorite quotes?

I know I have had you read the first Fairyland book, so when I mention Catherynne M. Valente, you know why. Like. Every time - every time - we get the narrator. Especially in the last book. And the section in the third book about fate and the little book. (I know you have not read these, this is unfair of me.) And like. So much of Deathless.

I'm gonna try and quote off the top of my head, so they aren't going to be word perfect but like (okay, I lied, I'm looking them up because reasons) - You will always fall in love, and it will always be like having your throat cut, just that fast. and In the dark, I have pored over the loss of you like pale gold. and I will not speak because I love her, and when you love someone, you do not make them tell war stories. and just. SO MUCH OF DEATHLESS. there is a reason that's the book that got brought up in The Nature of Soulmates.

(Because this is about inspiring and not just generally Bandit, quote your favorite books, I won't go off on The Little Prince but also The Little Prince is a huge influence in terms of how it is written like a children's book but it is not a children's book. You can read it to a child but you get different stuff out of it the older you get? Like. Ugh. The Little Prince.)

Also just - This Is How You Lose The Time War. I'm not sure if I'd either author individually, which sounds bad, but like. The way that book is written and the layers of it and just how it meshes together and just the poetry of it. I love it. You know this.

...and then because I'm gonna pull classic literature in here - John Steinbeck, specifically East of Eden and how he writes Cathy, how his narrator writes about Cathy. It is easy to say she was bad, but it means nothing unless we know why. and I believe there are monsters in the world born to human parents. and Maybe her life was her language...indecipherable. If she was running to something or running from something.... and the bit about how we might always wonder what it's like to fly but that's not the same thing as a bird that loses a wing. How monster is only an unaccepted deviation from the norm? UGH. IT'S SO GOOD.

...and I'm gonna stop now because I will just ramble on writers. XD

24) Do you let your story evolve as you write or do you meticulously plan everything prior to writing the first draft?

Oh, it evolves as I write.

Even when I try to meticulously plan everything (which mostly happens with longer series or complicated crossovers - so the OUAT/PMMM crossover that I never finished but had to figure out how the different magic systems played with each other, I meticulously planned a good chunk of that, the Roisa HP AU I still have...oh goodness, the timeline alone is 36 pages and nearly 19k words - and that's just a couple of examples), things still. evolve as I write. (Speaking of the Roisa HP AU, the second book? decided that mandrakes were going to be actually a big deal which was NOT in the plan, I will have you know but it doesn't matter because I didn't finish that! :D

But yeah, part of the joy of writing the thing is figuring things out as it goes. If I know everything ahead of time, I...tend to not finish it? Because then I already know the whole of the story. I like learning as I go!

26) What do you feel like you need to work on as a growing writer? How can you improve?

I suck. at plots. I suck at plots a lot. I would rather just take a couple of characters and let them vibe off of each other.

And literally a couple of characters, because I'm also bad at trying to have multiple characters in one place at one time. That's hard.

Also making sure that characters sound distinctly themselves and don't all sound the same.

Also interacting with the environment and description stuff. I used to be purple prose and now I'm the opposite end of things and I need to find a good middle ground.

Also also getting better at introducing readers to a new world.

30) What is some of the best writing advice you’ve read or received? Why does it work for you?

See, this is hard for me, because I read a lot of reading advice on here and like it and carry it on (usually in this tag), but like. I don't always. keep it in mind?

Don't edit the thing until you get finished is one I like a lot. Because you can get stuck in the trap of editing the same thing over and over or starting it over and over instead of continuing going. (-sighs about latf scrub-)

Everything you write is beneficial, even if you don't finish it. Which has been nice in terms of - sometimes a thing I'm writing does what I needed it to do, even if I didn't finish it. For Fake, for instance, I will probably not go back and finish because it did what I needed it to do and now I'm done with it. And that's okay! I don't need to beat myself up about stuff I didn't finish. Which has been really nice.

I used to really like Write as far as you can go and then write for another twenty minutes. because that's like. sometimes you will find that your brain will supply the stuff you don't know or fill things in or the characters already know, even if you don't. I don't really time myself anymore, though. XD

And now for the snippet of dialogue that I mentioned above (the one that is mostly not spoilers). Below the cut!

A Long Time Ago.

(Her Whole Life Is A Tragedy.)

“Ryoko?” Mukie asks as they sit on the steps just outside Ryoko’s house.  She leans back on the palms of her hands and looks up at the sky as the sun slowly sets, painting it in varied rose pinks and lavender purples as everything grows steadily darker.  “Do you like your name?”

Ryoko shrugs.  She takes another dandelion from the pile between them and blows the seeds from it without making a wish.  (If she does not do this, then there will be no dandelions next year.  She knows something of seeds and being planted, of the wind taking them and whisking them away where she cannot see.)  “It doesn’t fit right,” she says.  “It’s all itchy and scratchy, and it tastes bad.”

“I don’t think it tastes bad.”  Mukie glances to her and then quickly away.  “Your name’s like bubblegum or sour candy, the kind that’s all sweet in the middle.”

“Bubblegum fades if you chew on it too much, and you always spit it out when you get too bored.”

“Sour candy, then.  With the sweet once you get past the sour.”

Ryoko giggles, reaches over and shoves Mukie lightly.  “That’s you!  I’m like…like cotton candy!  All sweet and sugar and—”  She cuts herself off, frowns.  “I don’t want to melt when I’m wet, though.”

“I know!”  Mukie’s eyes light up as she turns to her, a big smile on her face.  “You’re like my favorite, like blue raspberries!  You only ever find them in candy, and they’re sweet and tangy and the most bestest shade of blue!  And!”  She leans forward like it’s a secret.  “They’re so special that they’re only candy!”  She leans back on her hands again, stares up at the sky, and kicks her feet a few times.  “I’ve never seen a real blue raspberry.  I don’t know what I’d do if I did.  If I’d eat it or if I’d try to save it up somewhere nice.”

Blue raspberries aren’t real, Ryoko knows, but that would just hurt Mukie, so she doesn’t say it.  “If you try to save it,” she says instead, “it’ll just get all moldy and nasty and then it won’t even be blue anymore!  Just all covered in fuzz!”

“Blue fuzz!” Mukie says, and she giggles like a rocket, like an explosion, like something burning.

After Mukie leaves, too afraid that Ikusaba-sensei will catch them if she makes him go out looking for her (but that’s not it, is it?  Ryoko knows that’s not it), Ryoko hides in the house, slipping her shoes off, and looks up at her mama with the most pained expression.  “Someday, I’m gonna make a blue raspberry.”

“That’s impossible, honey.” Ryoko’s brow furrows, and she clenches her hands, and she stomps her feet in the way that only children can.  “Then!”  Then she looks up at her mama again, red eyes the color of blood.  “Then I’m gonna do the impossible.”

I don't speak Spanish so I'm gonna rely on the translator quite a lot lmao (well I understand some Spanish actually, but definitely not enough to read a whole book)

The title translates to something like "Dreams of Stone" I think?

Once upon a time in a kingdom far, far away, a prince rewarded a wizard for helping rescue a young girl in trouble. Charming. Too bad none of this is true. In reality, the prince dreams of glory and revenge; the magician, with her spells not always being a disaster and the young woman in trouble, with fleeing from a past that torments her... and from the memory of the man she has killed. Once upon a time...

Okay so, prince, magician and a damsel in distress? Prince wants revenge for something, who knows what, magician is having trouble doing the magic, and the damsel is in fact a killer? Ok ok

Okay so Marabilia is a place? That's apparently also the name of this book series. Is this like the kingdom then? So it consists of three islands, two small ones and one big? Or is it supposed to be a continent? It definitely seems too small to be a continent

I know the blorbo is called Arthmael de Silfos so I'm guessing he's from the Silfos area in the north of the big island then. I can see what's probably a city called Duan and a forest called "Merlon Forest". We also have different towers around the big island, one of which seems to be called the Tower of Black Magic. (I didn't even need to use the translator for those yay xD)

Okay the first chapter is called Arthmael so I guess we're meeting our blorbo already, which is nice

Okay..... the very first line and I already think Arthmael might be a bit of a spoiled brat (I assume he's in fact the prince)

Apparently Arthmael just found out that he has an illegitimate older brother but I guess this brother's mother is noble anyway so it's legit? I dunno yet. Arthmael thinks this guy is blackmailing his father somehow and is already considering poison as a solution

And anyway, what kind of a name is Jacques for a king?

lmao, so much shade to all the kings called Jacques

Okay so Jacques's family is very powerful and loved by the people of Silfos and the king fears a civil war if he disrespects his claim to the throne. Alright. Kinda weird since based on Arthmael's thoughts, this society has a similar attitude to bastards as in European history, but okay then. I wonder if Jacques is even actually the king's son or is this some kind of a ruse?

Arthmael is very cheeky and even references his dad's love life directly to his face, his dad is not very happy

The king tells him to just be a good boy and hopefully they'll find him some crown princess to marry so he'll get a kingdom that way

I guess these different areas on the map are kingdoms then, that makes sense. They look like very small kingdoms but this is a small place in general.

Arthmael doesn't seem to mind this idea except that there's only one possible princess like that in Marabilia and that's Ivy de Dione. Not sure what's wrong with her.

Well, who knows? Maybe, if I wait a few moons, some other bastard, in Verves or Idyll, will come out from under a rock and come offer me her hand.

Arthmael is very haughty about how the people have always known him as the crown prince and accepted him as such, Jacques laughs and asks what has he even done for the people. He's like well he hasn't really done much yet because he was planning to do things once he became king, but he's been supporting the local business (taverns) and employing servants (lmao). Also apparently there are some girls he's seeing...

Apparently Jacques's family are big traders and business people (despite being noblemen) and create lots of jobs, and also big on charity, so everybody loves them

Arthmael is jealous of how proud his dad looks when Jacques says this, and how he's never looked at him like that

Well, I guess you're kind of a little shit so it makes sense, Arthmael

Oh my god, this little brat

He declares that he's going to be a hero, to overshadow the charity of Jacques' family, because heroes are remembered by history while philanthropist aren't

Once Jacques leaves, the king again offers to arrange a marriage to Arthmael, specifically with the princess of Dione

I'm almost tempted. I have never been to Dione, but they say that their ships are the lightest and fastest, and that sailors come to their shores from the other side of the sea, speaking strange languages that only they understand. Who come from lands where women wear short dresses, if they wear anything at all. Places where war is so normal that, as soon as a child is strong enough to pick up a sword, they push him to the front lines.

Alright then, I see what he fixates on

Was there anything wrong with the princess then or?

Barbarians. I remove the thought from my mind.

Apparently Jacques' family is from that Duan city that I noted earlier, and his mother died a few days ago and apparently "her loss is greatly felt"

The king regrets spoiling Arthmael too much, and talks about how Arthmael doesn't understand anything about suffering or anything and only cares about girls

Arthmael is already considering faking his death to make them all feel sorry, because of course he is, he's exactly that kind of guy

He says he doesn't want to go try to charm the princess, he'd rather just go off on his own (also there's a whole bit about how only a man can rule Dione or something and the king of Dione won't accept his daughter to become a ruler)

His dad tells him no, just stay here and be a good boy, don't make everybody gossip about drama in the royal family

Arthmael is like hey you managed to hide your bastard son for years, you can hide my disappearance

They fight a bit more but then Arthmael just storms out, grabs a few things from his room and leaves

a change of clothes, a bag of coins, my sword, and my favourite cloak. I do not need anything else.

Okay then, good luck I guess

To be a hero you only need a brave heart. Or so they say.

I feel like you also need to not be a selfish prick but maybe that's optional

But I guess the point is probably that he needs to learn some lessons along the way, or something like that, idk. I'm sure there's a reason for why whoever entered him into the tournament likes him so much

I'm guessing the damsel in distress is not the princess? Probably? She wasn't called a princess anyway. TBH she's the character I'm currently the most curious about. The next chapter is from the point of view of someone called Lynne and I hope that's her. Could be the magician too though I guess? No wait, I think the magician is a guy. Altho idk maybe Lynne could be a guy's name, I don't fucking know.

I'm guessing that Arthmael will try to rescue the damsel so he can be a hero, because that's what heroes are supposed to do, but then it'll go wrong somehow? And then the magician will get involved somehow, I have no clue.

That's all my predictions I suppose. Altho I'm guessing that Jacques might turn out to be a villain somehow, I didn't get the vibe that he was particularly great either, just not as much of a brat as Arthmael, and it would then be something for Arthmael to do when he gets back home. Then again maybe the book will surprise me, who knows. Miles rides his way to the trap, because we as readers can see it's a trap. This is stellar storytelling because we know something is gonna happen but not what exactly so it makes you even more invested.

"But he'd known that would be part of the game when he'd demanded to play." Possible reference to the title. Although in all chances this was written before the book was titled. Either way, I like it!!

Let me tell you, "Miles almost dies drowned in slow-quick-sand" was not in my bingo card for this book. Then again, this is McMaster "Here's a horseback chase in my sci-fi book" Bujold. I do not really have a bingo card for this book, it'd be pretty useless I fear.

Metzov. It'll take a bit for me to remember his name but I'll get to it eventually, specially if he insist on being an ass to Miles. And also women. "Miles wondered sourly if the general would then agree that a woman armed in a technological war might as well be a man."

Miles spoke through his teeth, words jerked out as though by pliers. "Would you have preferred the interview you'd be having right now if I'd permitted myself to freeze, sir?"

Ouffffff, that's some great great dialogue. See, this is why I love Miles.

"He'd simply have to avoid Metzov as much as possible for the next six months." <- Sounds like something that will go very wrong to the point of being funny on a reread but I'll have to wait to be sure.

And thus we are up to date! Because otherwise this post will be shorter than the previous two, I'll add here some fun facts about when I started reading this series:

I say that I'll eventually remember Metzov because one of my first thoughts when reading "Shards of Honor" was "Man, I have to remember this book's title because it I have to search it by its Vor-whatever saga name, I'll never be able to find anything because it's so hard to remember". Cut to me now knowing by heart pretty much all the Barrayaran family trees that have been explained so far. (Though I still sometimes confuse Vorhalas with Vortala but that's the only thing).

This all was because I took the books out the library randomly, I had never heard of this series before but hey, it was sci-fi and the cover looked pretty. (I've come to know that this series isn't really graced with covers as cool as it deserves but here, see? This one was cool enough to pull me in).

I also didn't realize "Lois" was a mostly exclusively female name and then had an "Oooooooh, that actually makes a lot of sense" moment when I finally became invested enough to google the author. Canon FMA fan moment, anyone?

Adrino fic here! Marinette’s drunk and feeling awful that her superhero partner is alone on Valentine’s (she’s in a loving and committed relationship with Alya), so she creates a Lucky Charm to help Chat find love! In this universe, Ladybug’s Lucky Charms have the power to create new rules for the universe to follow, such as making one that demands that if you have any magic in you, you have to tell the truth or else you’ll freeze. Or in Adrien’s case, that he has to wake up in the arms of his true love every day XD. It’s very sweet and I love both Adrien’s and Nino’s relationship, and the relationship between the rest of the Miracuteam members as well, even though that’s not the focus.

“Hey, Nino.”

Nino stood up quickly, chest tightening. He knew that voice. He’d been waiting to hear it again for over two years. “Adrien?” he whispered.

“Yeah. It’s me."

When Monarch is defeated (and revealed to be Gabriel Agreste), Chat Noir immediately goes missing. Adrien disappears not long after. When Adrien finally shows up in Paris again, Nino would do anything to make sure he doesn't disappear again.

Ah this is lovely, Adrien’s been in a lot of emotional turmoil since Monarch’s defeat, convinced that everyone would hate him, SHOULD hate him, for not realizing that his father was the villain, and should hate him even more for disappearing like he does. But slowly Marinette and Nino get through to him, convince him that they just want him back. 

And also Adrien and Nino smooch. Multiple times. So that’s a bonus XD.

“It’s not like I don’t think she deserved her privacy. It’s just it felt like I was her last priority. And if I knew why, then maybe we could overcome it. But when I don’t, I’m not willing to be her last thought. You know? I always put her first.”

“Yeah,” Chat agrees, able to relate too well. He always put Ladybug first too, and he’s not sure it has ever been the same for her. “I’m sorry you’ve been so alone through this."

“I haven’t been totally alone,” Nino disagrees, holding up his phone. “My best friend has been keeping me company virtually most of the day.”

“Yeah? It helped?”

“I don’t know if any of the stuff he sent helped, but like, given what I know he’s up to, he totally had to move heaven and earth to talk to me so much, and that really helped. You know, just knowing that someone was thinking of me.”

“I’m glad,” Chat Noir said. “I wish he could be there in person for you.”

Nino sighs. “Yeah, me too, but at least you’re here."

In the relative quiet and privacy of the backseat, Adrien finally processed what had just happened. “So… when were you going to tell me we were dating?”

This Adrino fic is delicious XD. Reporters keep hounding Adrien about his love life, so Nino finally gets them off Adrien’s back by fake-dating him. Problem is, Adrien’s actually been madly in love with Nino for years but has never been able to tell him. And now as they’re spending more time together, Nino’s beginning to find that he’s enjoying all these “couple” activities more than maybe he ought to if it’s entirely platonic...

If you want to see Adrien and Nino PINING for each other while “fake” dating (is it really fake if both parties want it to be real?) then you’ve come to the right fic!

It kind of sucked Nino was taking chemistry, but classes had filled up fast and he needed to take something and his advisor had said the credits would, somehow, count towards his major. It really sucked he was taking it first thing on a Monday morning (and Wednesdays, and Fridays, unfortunately). But he could get through it. He knew he could.

So no more boys. No distractions. He could do this all on his own.

“Is anyone sitting here?”

Nino looked up to find the source of the voice. A blond, green-eyed, absolutely beautiful someone.

Okay. Maybe one distraction.

Ah, adorable Adrino. This is a universe where Adrien never went to public school, so while Chat Noir, Ladybug, Carapace, and Rena Rouge all know each other (and Marinette, Alya, and Nino all know each other’s identities) they’re unaware that they are all already friends with Adrien. I loved seeing Chat and Carapace excitedly tell each other about their awesome crush/boyfriend, not knowing they were talking about each other XD.

Strangely Familiar by @sunfoxfic

Alya Césaire’s life is perfect. Indeed, between the success of the Ladyblog, how well she’s doing in school, and the fact that she’s a superhero who has never bore the weight of a crisis of epic proportions, her life almost couldn’t be better. Almost.

But Alya has always been a go-getter, and so she’ll chase after that perfect life if it kills her. Which is how she ends up rushing to move out of her father’s apartment and in with Marinette, Adrien, and a complete stranger: Nino Lahiffe. And in fact, her life does seem perfect — she and Nino are fast friends. They spend a lot of time together and get to know each other really well.

But in the end, fortunate situations will bear unfortunate truths, and she learns things about herself that aren’t quite comfortable. Like I said, though: Alya has always been a go-getter, and she won’t let new feelings deter her from chasing after her perfect life.

This is the single longest DJWifi-centric fic on AO3 (which is a travesty) and it is GLORIOUS. Alya and Nino are both well fleshed-out here, with their own problems and baggage they’re dealing with, but it’s easier together.

When Ladybug wakes Nino up in the middle of the night to scold him for revealing his identity, he thinks his career as a Miraculous holder is over. But instead, Ladybug gives him the opportunity to prove himself by becoming Chat Noir’s confidant and learning his secret identity through a scavenger hunt of sorts. Will Nino pass Ladybug and Chat Noir’s test, or will he fail to put the pieces together in time?

Quick disclaimer here: the first chapter looks kinda salty towards Nino, with Ladybug laying into him for revealing his and Alya’s secret identities to Adrien and Marinette. She’s mostly just trying to scare him into taking them seriously, though, since she herself has just proposed that Nino become Chat’s secret-keeper, and he can’t afford to be lackadaisical with that identity. I highly recommend getting through at least chapter 2 of the fic when giving it a shot, because this had some great character development and introspection for Nino, on Chat Noir, Adrien, Ladybug, and himself.

Contrary to popular belief, he and Alya could get studying done when in the same room, and he was elbows-deep in late assignments, which meant his phone was on Do Not Disturb, which meant the notification could only have come from one person.

So this is a “Adrien finds out that his father is Hawkmoth and consults with Nino about what to do” fic, with Nino throwing Hawkmoth off Adrien’s track, though inadvertently at his own expense. Love Nino’s perspective here, and I always enjoy a good Hawkmoth-takedown fic!

He walked away from talking to him for hours feeling like he was floating on a cloud. And he was anticipating their next patrol like a giddy child waiting for Christmas morning. Holy shit! “You okay, dude?” Nino asked. He totally had feelings for Carapace. When had that even happened?

Looks like the latest stop on Blake's "I'm totally not experiencing character development" journey is the Evangelion Rebuild series! (I'm still in the middle of watching the series though so I can't really say how Blake would fit in to the later movies so for now I'm gonna say he shows up in the first movie and leaves at the end of the second. Maybe he ends up coming back later.)

So, let's talk design! I decided to put Blake in an Eva pilot suit (based on Shinji's) even though it DEFINITELY probably makes no sense in canon. I made Blake the pilot of the hypothetical Eva Unit X. I'm hoping that doesn't actually exist in canon because that would be embarrassing. XD But I didn't wanna go researching and spoil myself. Still figuring out how Blake would end up piloting an Eva though. Anyway, the main alteration I made to the suit design is I cut out the entire left arm so I could show off Blake's robot arm.

OMG I LOVE RDJ Holmes, and it's so BEAUTIFUL. The first one came out in 2009, and Sherlock came out in 2010, so yes, RDJ Holmes was first, and I fell in love with that one first (I got into Sherlock in 20...13? Just before season 3). The two RDJ films are still a couple of my faves, and there's been talks for YEARS for a third one (I know both RDJ and Law want to do it, but I think the problem is all the issues plaguing WB...)

AND OMG the BEST PART?? Law literally shamed a reporter for calling their relationship a bromance; I think they BOTH want the third one to be an explicit queer relationship, but I think the big hurdle is the studio interference and (BEFORE 2023) was the remaining copyrights not having expired. NOW that all the ACD canon is public domain, the big hurdle is the WB.

Anyway, I love them, SO MUCH. I ship them SO hard, and now I think I'm gonna go rewatch the movies because they're SO beautiful. I love them to bits.

Since it's been over a decade since the last one, I would LOVE SH3 to explore them older and together. I think that would be lovely.

If it makes you feel any better, the back alley series idea came before the conversation about Sabo, but! the conversation gave me an idea for how to do the story for that one.

I was just going to do some bullet points and have 4-5 guys in a single post, but now thanks to you they're probably all going to be little short stories. Not that I'm complaining, and I don't think anyone else is either.

I've got Kid, Law, and Marco to do, but do you have a fifth you'd like to request? >.>

Being a working individual trying to run a funny little blog again is crazy. Anyway, honestly is this is more for me than anything—BUT. Just some rule updates ( somewhat reflecting on my actual carrd ) + me yapping ooc - ly!

i'm going to shift for now. days particular to the weekend, i'm either going to be here fully or not at all! like said in my rules prior, i don't work a lot, but someone like me ( aka... who struggles both mentally and physically with obstacles ) it's very hard to keep up socially. i run a two post a day queue to make this blog at least look alive, but i pause it when i show obvious signs of no rp activity.

i'm also kind being a silly little goober rn going to my revisiting my natural habitat as well ( jcink & gaiaonline ) so i'm just awful at using my blog... socially. XD

i know memes/prompts are common here, i really want to get into that too. but i just simply cannot right now. i prefer threading, ongoing plots. not saying i won't reblog them or send them ever !!! i just - it won't be super often for a bit, aha. but i'm absolutely okay with doing dumb little drabbles, etc ... !!!

if i'm taking a while in thread(s), or you're not into it, just tell me! i don't get anxious over this, and actually super encourage you to? learning how to track threads properly again, so i might forget them. i'm also learning how the hell tm to make good, palpable threads / how to write canons i love again & i'm not expecting everything i write to make sense each time !!!

so. as expected, i am a fire emblem / twst blog with a hint of hoyo. that's perfectly fine with me, haha! my other fandoms might remain dormant-ish anyway, till i have the time to properly write aus for them.

i have updated my hoyoverse, which essentially says the following:

all my genshin and honkai star rail muses are technically not official in this blog. i only really write them if someone asks + / or i feel like starting threads with them. so if you get a starter or meme from someone not on this list, they may be in my request / secret section. but just know the must list can fluctuate [aka i just be adding muses man. i come from gaiaonline where ya just write everyone] and i don't reallllly consider this fandom formally in my muse list lmao i just like to have fun with them.

i have update my twisted wonderland information as well:

 i am on and off with my knowledge of twisted wonderland. while i am in the process of catching up with book 7 i am up-to-date with everything else ; basing my portrayals off the japanese translations. although for less repetition sake, i use both english and japanese terminologies ( e.g magift / spelldrive, my sebek says "waka" / "young master" / "liege". stuff like this ) you are absolutely free to write with my muses, but fair warning writing in this fandom is mainly for my own self-indulgence.

probably gonna add a fe: fates category but fire emblem muses are kind of like hoyoverses' ngl. (aka for cyan and now aster /hj lol)

slowly following new people if i see em & have the time to scope them out !!! thanks to the people who advised me how to look around now !!! but ... yeah, i still feel like a fish out of water, so i'm somewhat nervous on that. tumblr has absolutely changed, the last time i was here, so i'm not particularly preparing to put myself in the tags anytime soon.

i'm slow in tumblr dms. i think we are all. they are small & sadly not easy to remember. if you've read this far, i seriously respect your time and my discord is ' onry0. ' if you want it.

Thinking out loud about my blog.....

So.....w-with the combination of my big fic's completion (minus the trivia list), some of the things I've been talking about with my anons, and the fact that I finally shared my Threads account, I.....I got an idea. I realized that I should probably make a proper pinned post, to spruce up my blog a bit and make things easier to understand here. Make it upfront who I am, what I do, and gives links to important stuff that won't be lost.

And....to do this....I-I....also realized that, I should probably finally do something I've been wanting to do for a while, but have been putting off due to lack of attention....N-now that I AM getting attention - and once I work up the courage to put MUOM into official tags I'll be getting MORE - I....I should be doing this NOW....

I gotta start cracking down more when it comes to minors.

Th-thankfully, I don't THINK I have any following me right now, thank god, but....I-I've been lax about them interacting with me for....p-probably a bit too long. Yes, it's true that, for YEARS, I kept adult content to a minimum on here, but....th-that's been gradually changing since I started writing. Especially the past two years. Of all my CRK fics, Naivete and Bruises are the ONLY ONES I'm (or was) comfortable with minors reading. That's two. Out of eight fics I've written in this time. I have no excuse anymore.

I-I used to be fine with keeping things clean outside of AO3, since t-talking about that subject matter has always f-flustered me, but now.....I-I.....I kinda wanna....b-be more open with that part of myself.....I-I wanna try to talk about it more....e-even if it's embarrassing. I-I don't wanna be afraid of it anymore....

A-also, I'm far past the age where I should be acting buddy-buddy with minors anyway. I've known this for a while. Heck, the reason why I'm so terrified of joining a CRK Discord server is because there are so many minors in the fandom! XD So.....I-I have no excuse for not enforcing this rule.

The extra traffic I could be getting for the two SFW fics isn't worth it. Especially if that could lead unwanted people to my blog. For all I'm concerned, SFW fics written for adults are a thing now. I even said that adults were always my target audience anyway, even a couple years ago.

So....yeah....g-gonna try to be more strict about that going forward. If I wanna be more open about things I wanna talk about, wh-when it comes to discussions about my queen with my anons.....I-I have to do this....
