Unironically I think one of my favorite things about my brain is that it just straight-up deletes people who are no longer in my life. Be it due to them just walking out, betrayal, death, diverging life paths. If they're no longer relevant and never will be again, my brain just nukes them from orbit.

I'm very very very bad (re: completely incapable) of managing loss so my brain makes sure I'm unable to remember enough to feel loss after X amount of time. Like, that whole "better to have loved and lost" thing? Yeah, no, that doesn't apply to me in the fucking slightest, so this was my biology's compromise!

I am definitely not naming names because the anime is legitimately not worth the time that it takes to watch but if you put in front of me the most homoerotic mess this side of Supernatural (I mean it, both the opening and ending were romantically coded but only featured the main two characters, they basically only trusted each other, their banter was ridiculous, they were basically the only characters with any chemistry in the entire show, everybody else in the cast knew that if you couldn’t find one of them it meant they were together somewhere, they saved each other’s lives multiple times) and then two episodes from the end reveal that the two main characters are cousins and somehow still manage to flub the landing like this:

Character A: Give [obligatory female character] a kiss for me.

Character B, legitimately baffled: Why would I do that?

What can I do except write a book about it?

I’m convinced that they only had them return to separate worlds at the end because the two of them had already banged and found it too awkward after they discovered that they were actually cousins.

Controversial? opinion but I actually really like Astarion's chaste little kiss, because it isn't a performance. It isn't at all the way he would've kissed you in Act 1. And yeah it doesn't have lingering touches like Karlach's kiss animation or extreme passion like Halsin's, but it feels true for him. It feels real.

It's quick and sweet, maybe a little uncomfortable or uncertain. He approaches Tav and takes the lead, which I love, but he's still figuring this all out. It's so new. He's in the process of defining his boundaries, what he wants and needs physically+emotionally in a relationship. The kiss is intimate but there's space too, and that's okay.

genuinely you could stay on there for hours with just one person, hashing out complex traumatic backstories, drawn-out love confessions, detailed action scenes...collaboratively describing graphic violence, past abuse, comfort, hurt/comfort, hurt/no comfort, any number of sex acts...and then one of you would be like, "oh haha it's 2AM! I have to sleep :(" and the other person would say, "omg saaaame. :( gnight!!!" and then you'd exit the chat and never speak to each other again, and this was. fine.

you could just spend an entire evening shoving your wretched, bleeding soul into a chat log with someone you'd never meet or learn the name of, achieve some form of emotional catharsis, and then go about your day or night like this was an average way to spend your time.
