Lenore (They/She)

Magic level: ???

The eldest of the three siblings. Prim and proper, Lenore is studying to become a magical archivist. Despite her easy smile, it’s difficult to tell what they’re really thinking. They hardly ever open their eyes in front of others- to the point that whenever she does, they marvel at how much Dolores and Socorro have grown. They take after their father, Dire Crowley, in unfortunately many ways.

Trivia: Her name comes The Raven poem and the Lenore poem by Edgar Allan Poe- the name of the lost love the narrator mourns over, and the name of the “queenliest dead.” Crowley was very insistent on this name, much to Viktor’s chagrin

Socorro (He/Him)

Magic Level: High, Control: Low

The middle child. Socorro is a withdrawn and suffering from constant frights. Although he isn’t necessarily ashamed of his Fae-like features, he dislikes standing out due to them. Socorro secretly envies Dolores for her humanity, and is wary around Lenore. The boy is rather unsettled by his own hands, that have begun to darken and morph from inherited blot.

Trivia: His name translates to “help,” and is a name considered to be very old fashioned (aka old lady name AVSJXS). His design unintentionally resembled Bruno (Encanto), and I leaned more into it with the color scheme by the end haha.

Dolores (She/Her)

Magic Level: Very low, Control: High

The youngest of the three siblings. Dolores is an active firecracker, letting out her energy through playground games and stunts. She can often be found trailing after Socorro, more than happy to drag him into her games. Her hair is untamable much like Viktor’s. Somehow, she is rather oblivious to the oddness of her family, adoring them all just the same.

Trivia: Her name translates to “pain” or “sorrow.” Dolores is just vibing BSBXBD. Her design had the most difficulty: starting off as a wild child, then to more of a delinquent, before finally settling on this youthful oblivion that she is now. Viktor often does her hair in the mornings- her hair is hard to figure out at times.
