Oh gosh! In my absence the complaints about Thief have piled up in my ask box. I’m not gonna reply to them all. I think that’d be too repetitive. I’ll just say this.

I completely understand if you don’t dig the direction that Thief is going. It’s heavy. It’s angsty. It’s dark. Dabi’s behaviour can be gross. I’ve warned you that it’s going to get really disturbing. It’ll touch on several different triggers — some of which might bother you in ways you didn’t expect. And that can be distressing. With this in mind, please don’t continue reading if it’s too overwhelming for your nervous system. Just like with anything else that happens in life, it’s up to us to choose what make us feel good.

I write Thief for me. Writing this series has helped me cope with and make sense of trauma and abuse on a deeper level than before. It’s tricky to craft each and every plot point, but it’s also rewarding. I’m very happy with where I’ve taken it, and I won’t make any major changes — despite complaints.
