concept: sasha has since died of peaceful old age but regis had another cat during dbd. when he goes boom, edwin inherits the cat. edwin and/or shakespeare are allergic and/or don’t have the time/desire to take care of a pet. edwin pawns the cat off on the one person he knows who was also as close to regis blackgaard as a person could get.
