Have you ever been trying too hard to draw, but nothing really good comes out? You know how to, but you simply can't.

You don't want to make full pages of poses n perspective practice anymore? Well pal, I'm always in the same shitty situation as you are! Here are some tips of what I do to prevent Burnout from that!

1 - Drawing a meme

Yep, drawing a meme.

This may sound silly, but this actually helps — Your art and you. By drawing a silly meme with your characters, you can get a laugh and relax a bit from expecting too much from your art. And it in fact will help you improve, by drawing these memes (witouth tracing ofc, just by making a base around it, studying and making ur art) you can learn some poses, anatomy, and even improve on drawing backgrounds if you want to draw 'em!

2 - Redrawing

Pretty obvious, but it actually helps! By redrawing an old piece you liked a lot or didn't even like at all (the 'I could've done better' feeling) you can see how much you've improved and see in what else you can work on to improve!

3 - Prompt Generator Ideas

By using some Internet Prompt Generators, you can get almost any idea from whatever you'd like — Ships, fights, funny stuff, nsfw...

That's great for Aus, fanfictions and drawings! Here some links of some prompts sites I use, but you can even find some prompts here on Tumblr!

4 - The FANGIRL/BOY one

This one's about you putting your Oc into an media universe you like. For example — Shoving them into a book universe such as Harry Potter or smt, I know it's very silly but I can take hours into making this silly one.

5 - Redesigning a Character

Redesigning an old character or changing an character appearance takes a lot of time! Thinking what colors would make it look better, what kind of clothes they'd use... It's great for art blocks I guess.

6 - Drawing your character in an Album Cover/Magazine cover pose

Jojo did it a lot and I gotta say, redrawing an album cover in your style with your character is very cool, I did it once or twice, but I'll definitely do it more! Imagine drawing your cute Oc in a Charlie Brown Jr album cover? So sick.

i've gotten quite a handful of people asking me about the ace attorney buttons over the years, because i know ace attorney fandom is still thriving and well even 20 years later! the art is quite solid, but it's also old and i also don't think i can draw like that anymore so it feels weird to bring it back haha! plus the 2017 set was a redraw of one from 2014 (for those that don't know, i added a visual reference below)! so i'm not entirely sure how i feel about doing another reprint ! 🤔

on one hand, i am going to retire circular buttons! because of inflation & rising shipping costs (to ship the merch to me) - tiny circular buttons are no longer feasible to make, and the profit garnered from them is way too little for the effort put into them. i promise i'm not money hungry or whatever i simply want a decent living from my art! fk inflation i guess!

(but don't fret, because i will still be making heart and star buttons!!)

on the other hand, i was thinking of maaaaybe having a mail order form, for people who want to request old merch to be remade. so that the old products won't be in my shop, i'll only print limited copies for people who request them. of course it would be done only during the merch season while i'm printing my new stuff (summer). also it would be something done as a courtesy to my followers and something i would not make that much money off.

i really truly do want to remedy your situation, it's just that there are so many things to consider... i gotta let the ideas marinate... i'll think about it, thank you for asking ❤

I frequently touch on "heavy/dark" topics in my prose, because it's rare I find myself inspired to pen a verse over something "happy." I write poetry to share my heart as just as much as I shroud it, so heavy ideas'll frequently be layered under flowery prose, but I'm not censoring myself anymore than tumblr demands I do. If you're the type of person who "needs" a profanity filter unironically, you should probably work on that, but I'm not shrinking my space for you.

Positions/Major ideas and things to assume from me (so far):

I am a "lesbian(link)," an atheist(link), and I vibe with gender abolition and the performance theory of gender over the misuse of idpol. Saying that to say- I see gender as merely the qualia of patriarchy, and thus both inseparable from it, and detestable. But if we must use a form of gender at all, let its basis be founded in one's actions, not nebulous misunderstandings of biology or vibes.

TLDR: Trans people are my friends, not "radfems" (pathetic handmaidens). I like making erotic art\porn, and my customers aren't bad people for buying what I make either. Anyone who's worried about me being exploited as a sex object should be more concerned about capitalism, because I'd be a public hole if we lived in a socialist utopia; fuck all the way off you crypto conservative, self-righteous, anxiety ridden prudes; I hate your guts, and I'm 10 toes on that. Experience death by radical personal growth through introspection, or via a burnt pastry shower if this bothers you. I don't care which.
