Man thinking about L4D2 again had me reminishing of one old fanfic I loved back in the day.

It was a fic set in a non-apocalyptic AU where Zoey stumbles in the town Ellis lived in, and they slowly got to know each other.

It was such a sweet fic, but I can't find it anymore... ;;

okay, but the worst fics to not be able to find anymore are pwp

like, anything else, no matter how cracky or messed up or baffling can be sort of. shrugged off as 'well, i don't remember the details, and i thought it was really cool at the time', and then ask for help finding it

but pwp? it's basically admitting you got off to a fic and wish to get off to it again, and while there is nothing wrong with that, it's still all sort of embarrassing and tmi

it's basically the mortifying ordeal of being known, but instead of love, you get a few thousand words of porn, and i'm not sure the trade is worth it

they stopped doing it specifically to protect your privacy. it's not exclusive knowledge, it's completely unknown, which means the police can't get that information either. Sometimes if you buy a very old used book that used to belong to a library, you could find one of those cards, and get to keep it! but I think its beautiful that libraries sacrificed data (imagine that!) to protect readers. Like Mariana and Dario, the librarians are also your brothers and sisters. 💕📚

I miss when library books used to have little paper pockets inside with a list of all the people who borrowed it and when... I hate that this is now exclusive knowledge of librarians. I do care that a miss Mariana borrowed this book in 1985 and then Dario in 1997. They're my brothers and sisters

as is tradition, i've updated my: "hozier using terms of endearment on his songs" list.

"baby" remains number one with 9 new additions. he uses "baby" a total of 74 times throughout his entire (released) discography

"darling" was his favourite term this time around with 17 new additions. it went from only 9 to 26 times he used the term in his songs

"love" got 11 new additions. 17 in total

and last but not least he used "honey" one time. so that's 46 times he says "honey" now
