Been wanting to do some updated character model sheet thingies for my ongoing longfic The Avatar and the Fire Prince, so here they are! :) Up until now I'd only drawn Zuko and Aang, but I thought it was about time I added Iroh and the Water Tribe siblings to the lineup as well. Right now all I've done this for is Books 1 & 2, but I really want to get started on the Books 3 & 4 versions so I can add Toph and Suki (and possibly Azula, Mai, and Ty Lee) to the lineup!
As usual, for anyone who has not read my fic but is curious about the premise: this is an AU in which Zuko and Iroh discover Aang in the iceberg just 3 months after Zuko is burned and banished at age 13 in 96 AG, 4 years prior to the return of Sozin's Comet. It is also an enemies to best friends to lovers slowburn in which Zukaang is endgame (since Aang was released from the iceberg 3 years early in this AU, he is only one year younger than Zuko). This fic is heavily based in canon, so I try my hardest to ensure that everything is canon-compliant at least when it comes to lore and character behavior despite the different circumstances.
Book 1: Air's premise: after finding and capturing Aang, Zuko and Iroh are forced to escape with him on Appa when Zhao interferes with their plans to return to the Fire Nation. This Book focuses on Aang desperately searching the Air Temples for any remnants of his people he can find, dragging Zuko and Iroh along in the process. Eventually, Zuko starts to question everything he was raised to believe, while Iroh is forced to face the mistakes of his past.
Book 2: Water begins with Aang, Zuko, and Iroh traveling to the South Pole after Aang starts to have recurring nightmares about an impending attack on Wolf Cove (Sokka and Katara's village), and eventually follows my adaptations of several storylines from canon Book 1 before ending with the Siege of the North in Agna Qel'a. During this Book, Zuko begins to realize his feelings for Aang are more than friendship, while Aang remains oblivious (lol).
Book 3: Earth is the Book I am currently working on (the most recent chapter was my adaptation of "Avatar Day") and so far follows Aang, Zuko, Iroh, Katara, and Sokka as they search for an earthbending teacher for Aang - so far, it has followed the general canon plot of Book 2, though of course, as always, there are differences due to this being an AU. No spoilers, but I have some really interesting things planned for this Book, particularly as we get closer to the Ba Sing Se arc. I also have a lot of fun stuff planned for the Zukaang romance in this Book.
Book 4: Fire will be the last Book of the fic, and will of course revolve around the Gaang in the Fire Nation. This is all I will say for now since I don't want to spoil the plans I have for the previous Book (which will heavily influence what happens in Book 4, obv).
When I finally finish this fic (I'm about halfway through at 33/65 chapters), I plan to start writing a direct sequel that adapts the events of the comics, as well as a Korrasami-focused Legend of Korra rewrite fic that is set in the same AU as TAatFP.

haiii willow!! i was reading through your work (as i usually do when I’m on here) but i wanna know your thoughts on whether young, early 20s bkg - who currently has a thing for reader - would he feel this impending urge of sexual attraction?? i feel like at that point of time he wouldn’t be having much sex, if any at all but ofc reader is beautiful and sweet and gorgeous!! do u think he’d ever have moments where he’s ogling or he’s just back in his bedroom and all he can think are perverted thoughts and he’s like, “fuck.”
i will continue stalking ur page and reblogging so that’s all! love u🩷🩷🩷👼
oh i am smooching you smooching i say, bc i love this scenario it is my freaking bread and butter 😌✨️🩷
i think he definitely would !! not a total clueless virgin, but he's not really feeling it with anyone, and maybe hasn't for a while—if ever. and maybe he's just like, eh i've got more important things going on rn than who i'm having dinner with i hardly have time to have it with myself 🥺
bc i imagine early 20s bakugou very specifically, especially after what's going on in the manga, so i can completely see him being so sidetracked and not even interested in romance—and then you come along 🥺 and i think it would take him a while to get there, honestly, like. he's got you in the back of his mind for a whole year, even. doing his best not to think about it, but every now and then when things are quiet, his mind is wandering until he's thinking about how you wish him a stupid good morning ! every day and always make small talk with him about all kinds of random shit 😒🥺 he resists the idea that you give him butterflies and tries to tell himself you make him sick LOL
but then—something happens. something small, i think, that is such a non-event but it launches you to the forefront of everything, all at once. maybe you say something funny that makes him do his little evil smile or ask him a question and really listen to what he's saying with big beautiful eyes or you wave at him as you pass each other in the hall and kirishima is with him and then turns to him, grinning so fucking wide, and he's like "bro....why're they smiling at you like that ?? 😏😏😏" and that has bakugou thinking to himself.....oh shit........are they smiling at me like that ??? and then he's so totally gutted by the fact that—he wants you. oh man, he wants you so bad. and i've said this before but i think because he tries to fight that feeling for so long, once he finally accepts it, he's like full speed ahead. he opens that door and it's like the floodgates, the dam has broken, he's neck deep the minute he stepped over.
and i really think bakugou's attraction to someone—like his deep, genuine, heart-achy kind of attraction to someone—is based on who you are, and so the more time he spends with you and the more he thinks about you and the more he gets to know you, it just builds and builds and builds LOL and then that sexual attraction comes bull-dozing in, i think. and i love to talk about this but he thinks he's so not a meat-head that thinks with his dick but he definitely catches himself checking you out and is SO MAD LMAOOO
he's also such a—make a plan, make it happen kind of person, so once he decides he can't stand doing nothing, he's trying to figure out how to make you his. and in trying to plan that out, he's going through scenario after scenario, thinking about what differently he could do when he sees you and how you'll respond, imagining it late at night, dreaming about what you'd say and what you'd do.....what that would lead to, eventually AND HE FEELS LIKE SUCH A PERV LMAOOO he's such a dork
god i literally could go on and on about this forever you don't understand akdhfjskkq this is one of my favorite scenarios for him it's just my default thinking state this point LOL hiiiii friend !!! tysm for asking !!! 😌🩷✨️
#i'm unhinged for him sorry#tysm for checking out me things 🥺🥺 for being here with me 🥺🥺🥺#i could talk about THIS FOREVERRRRRR#✿ ask willow#✿ thoughts: bakugou#✿ theme: pre relationship bakugou

Iced Tea and Writing
Day 17 - Hobby @rowaelinscourt
just some more fluff lol with a lil mention of sex at the end.
cw: none words: 900+
enjoy!! xx
{ also, there's a tiny easter egg in this fic if you've looked at rowan's wiki page ;) }
Aelin was hiding something, and Rowan was determined to figure it out.
She wasn't scheming anything, he was confident in that, and it wasn't a policy that she was hiding from him because while he was busy rebuilding Orynth and Terrasen's army and navy, councilmen and women still managed to find him and rattled off about their plans that they wanted his support on.
He listened, because it was his duty as king-consort to do so, but he always told Aelin about it before they unwound from their day.
That very thing happened yesterday, and as Rowan walked into his shared study with his mate, Aelin slammed shut a drawer in her desk and turned to face him fully.
He could have sworn that there was a faint blush on her cheeks. He had asked her if she was alright and she said she was, but he sensed the white lie.
And that was when his curiosity was born.
So, with a rare day off for both of them, he told Aelin that he would soon join her in the Queen's Garden but for now, he was pretending to be busy when in actuality, he was going to shift and fly into the garden to see what his wife was up to, as he saw that bundle of paper under her arms this morning, with an ink-pot and glass pen in the other.
Using his magic, he made sure to send his scent the other way as he perched within an orange tree, the branches bursting with fresh, ripe fruit.
He heard the scribble of the glass pen against the paper, her beautiful face scrunched in concentration. She was lying on a thick picnic blanket, a tray full of fresh fruits, cheeses and iced tea laid on top of it.
A pitcher of iced tea that was now empty and Aelin realised it. Huffing, she got up, holding the empty pitcher as she left to refill it.
When he heard the garden door close, Rowan swooped down and read what his mate was hiding.
And became so engrossed in it that he didn't hear Aelin's approach until she hissed in surprised several minutes later.
“Buzzard, put that down!” Rowan didn't and kept on reading. Aelin rushed forward, putting the iced tea away before she extended her hand towards him, silently asking for the papers.
Childishly, Rowan didn't and even extended it into the air where she couldn't reach. His smile was wide enough that Aelin could count nearly all his teeth, his canines gleaming in the sun.
“You're writing a romance story, based on us?”
Aelin scoffed. “It isn't based on us, you territorial beast.”
Rowan's smile grew. “The Fae male is called Raonn, and the half-fae female is called Ayla, how else am I meant to interpret it?”
“It's just a coincidence, Rowan.”
“Raonn is an inch shorter than me, with white hair and hazel eyes and powers of water and invisibility and Ayla—”
“I'm aware of their powers buzzard, as I wrote them.” Her hand was still stretched out, flexing her fingers to hand the papers over.
“Why did you hide it from me?”
“I didn't hide it, I just...kept it locked up from prying eyes. And it's just some stupid scribbles—”
“It's not stupid,” Rowan said, interrupting her. “It's good Aelin.”
“You're just saying that.”
“I'm not,” he insisted, meaning it. “It's descriptive without droning on, the imagery is clear. It's good,” he promised her.
Aelin smiled sweetly at the truth she sensed in Rowan's words. “It's still not based on us.”
Rowan hummed and handed her the papers. “Whatever you say, Fireheart.”
Rowan joined her on the picnic blanket, leaning against the same orange tree he used to hide in. Aelin leaned against his shoulder, handing over the tray of fruits and cheeses. Rowan picked out what he wanted, which he ended up just giving to Aelin as she kept stealing them-pay back for not handing over the papers straight away, most likely.
“I just wanted to do something different,” Aelin said eventually. “After dealing with demon hordes and politics, I just needed to do something that didn't involve the world being at stake.”
“I understand,” Rowan said, “it's good to have a hobby.”
Aelin looked up at her mate, his eyes thoughtful as he stared at her. “You should take up a hobby, too, like drawing. You're good at that.” And he was, her tattooed back was proof of his skills.
His smile from before returned. “Maybe I'll draw Raonn and Ayla, give you some more inspiration. Or,” he begun to say as Aelin opened her mouth to again deny any similarities, “I could draw you in your gold nightgown.”
“I have other colours, you know,” she said, now running a lazy hand up and down his thigh and her mates dark eyes zeroed in on her hand. She had a whole closest full of nightgowns, all different colours and cuts and fabrics. She kept them locked away, however, as she liked to surprise him.
“I know, but it's my favourite.” Which was an understatement, because whenever she wore metallic gold, Rowan fucked her so hard that afterwards she saw stars. “And maybe, right now, I can give you inspiration in the physical sense.”
Aelin snorted as Rowan softly placed her on her back and did give her ideas for her story for later—although she would still deny that it wasn't based on her and Rowan.
Having a hobby was indeed a very good use of her time.

hellooooo fools paradise team:3c i am STILL stuck on the valentines day post LOL & so im curious: what would the romanceables valentines day plans with the MC be? or similarly/alternatively what would their ideal date be in general?
“Darling, it’s already nine! While I adore your resting face, I’d prefer to be the very first thing your bright eyes happen upon this special morning.”
Ever the romantic, Mona takes Valentine’s to its extreme. Before you’ve even awoken, she’s already matched your outfits for the day, intent for there to be splashes of pink, white, and red adorning you both from head to toe. Breakfast in bed is a must, and though you fear for your tastebuds - she follows the recipe. Flowers, chocolates, cards, gifts - anything you can imagine awaits you once you finally rise from your cell of slumber. After all, this is your perfect day and Mona’s already planned dinner and a murder party for you to solve together as you dine. In the evening, after you’ve had your fill, you’ll attend a couple’s painting class. Though she could instruct herself, she follows protocol, delighting in the shared drinks you two split and the paint spills you mark each other with.
“Oh…this? I painted it because it’s your favorite animal…right?”
Starting with a nice long walk around the park with his partner is an ideal start for Noel. Valentine’s isn’t about grand gestures, or trying to outdo one another. It’s about remembering the pleasure of each other’s comfort that tethered you two to begin with. However, something handmade from him to you isn’t off the table. The day will pass without hurry, the two of you spending hours at a local craft cafe, sampling treats and putting together trinkets for one another. When your crafts come to a close, you’ll pack up and pick-up some takeout that you’ll share while cuddling on the couch back home.
“Holy shit…my retinas are burning just looking at it. It’s perfect.”
Valentine’s, being a commercial holiday, is nothing more than an obvious capitalist scheme to Mary. So, why not indulge in the shopping fever to win over each other’s favor? Mary corrals you into an hour long shopping spree to start, the two of you picking out gifts secretly to surprise each other with later in the evening. Along the way, she’ll demand a fashion show…or a few, the two of you parading down the aisles in glitzy and gaudy outfits meant to shock any who pass your path. When the two of you are eventually kicked out, the two of you will rush home to find that Mary has planned an indoor picnic just for you. The rest of the night passes quickly as you feed each other treats, and take turns thinking about what kind of future you’d like to build together.
“Woah…almost feels like they based that riddle on us! Isn’t that strange?”
Vein + Valentine’s = flirtatious fun! There’s no better way to prove the strength of your relationship than putting it to the test in an Escape Room challenge Vein booked for the two of you. Expecting the space cowboy theme to come to a natural conclusion, you’re surprised that some of the clues needed to find the final prize involve riddles centered around your relationship and inside jokes. Though you press Vein, her lips are sealed. That is, until you find the final prize: a commissioned portrait of the two of you in your favorite game. To celebrate your victory thereafter, Vein takes you to her favorite local pizza joint. After all, you’ll need the energy for the arcade tonight. It’ll be an all out race to see who can win the grandest prize for the other.
“C’mon, sway with me.”
Valentine’s is guaranteed to be a late start for the two of you - and quite honestly you’d be lucky if Tempest opened his eyes before noon. But whenever he should manage to rise and conquer the day, Tempest is determined take you to a concert of your favorite artist that night. But if the date line-up isn’t in the cards, you can be damn sure he aims to surprise you good with the tickets at the dinner table. The dinner itself is relaxed, dim lit with a band in the back where you two can shoot the can. But when you’ve both had enough, you’ll stroll around the city, touring your favorite haunts, ending up at a pub at the end of the night, tipsy dancing to the songs playing through the speaker as you play pool and darts.
“Must we leave our sheets with such haste? I am but the moon, unready to separate from the sun who warms it.”
The virtues of Valentine’s are not lost on Sorin, nor the reason the holiday itself was created. But Sorin doesn’t yield to the standard expectations of the consumerism. There isn’t any need for showiness, time spent in your company is satisfying enough. The day will be spent indoor with activities Sorin has already prepared for the two of you. Cooking together, dancing to your shared songs, and cracking open a candle painting kit are just snippets of all they have planned for the two of you. The night ends, however, with the most elaborate surprise of all — a scavenger hunt, You search the halls of your hall, following the train of notes left by your love. When you finally reach the end, you happen upon a box filled to the brim with poems and other writings Sorin has penned to you.

That other anon was being an asshole, but I am curious about what you had planned for EfC? Not gonna lie, I'll miss the cast—would be nice to know what happens to who!
I'm still unsure what I'll do with EfC. I might come back to it once this current period of my life is over, though it'd likely be very different. First of all, it'd be a shorter story. I'd either get rid of some of the ROs, or find some way to better integrate them into the narrative (compare Harry, who you can have this huge, important backstory with vs Val, whom I love but is also just some guy, I guess?). It'd also probably be more focused on romance since that's usually what interests me the most in IF anyway.
I also might scrap a lot of it and stick to the storylines that interest me the most—mainly the Harry stuff. A shorter game dealing with The Hedonist returning to Court and having to face Harry sounds really fun to write, and it'd be a lot less complex to plan than this whole mess. Also, Harry is definitely a more developed character than some of the other ROs. For example, I love Camila to death, but she doesn't have much significance in the story other than "The Hedonist's friend" and I was never able to find her some meaning.
I'd also make The Hedonist even more of a fixed character by getting rid of all personality stats and focusing solely on their actions instead of worrying about personality. The stats were all carried over from CoG, and it's never been something I enjoy in their brand of IF. I was going to do this anyway when I first transferred the game to Twine, but stupidly asked Tumblr what they thought and, since most people preferred keeping the stats, I did that even though I didn't really want to.
As for to what would happen to the cast... In case I do come back to EfC, I don't think this would change much, so I'll put it into a read more in case someone doesn't want to know. If anyone has any more questions, don't hesitate to ask!
Grandma would die. Sorry!
Also, Cordelia was The Hedonist's twin who drowned in front of them, but that was a bit obvious, wasn't it? I'd definitely remove that from any rewrites, it's so unnecessary and cliché.
Henry would divorce Elizabeth to be with Nicholas. The Hedonist could either support him on this or not.
Due to the divorce, the rest of the family would be disgraced in Court. Evie's reputation is a little less affected if she's still with Harry.
As I mentioned in the past, The Hedonist can choose whether to stay in Court or not at the end.
The Hedonist and Evie can repair their relationship or not. Evie eventually makes an effort to become friends with The Hedonist, and you could choose whether to play nice or not. If The Hedonist romances Harry and you manage to have a good relationship, she forgives you, but asks for some time away from both The Hedonist and Harry.
I didn't really plan Camila's character arc well. She becomes a Republican rebel and can either still be friends with The Hedonist or have distanced herself a bit if they continue to be an asshole.
Sabina can choose to no longer be a nun if encouraged either by a friend or romanced Hedonist. If you romanced her but didn't encourage her to leave the convent, she dumps you. (Note: You later find out she was forced to become a nun by her family.)
Similarly to Sabina, Narcissa can choose to break things off with the Emperor if, again, encouraged either by a friend or romanced Hedonist.
Calvin's ending is the wildest one, actually. He finds out he's a father after the boy's mother passes away. The Hedonist can either tell him to abandon the boy or tell him to raise him (if Calvin is romanced, they kind of become a step parent).
Val can be encouraged to start studying to become a librarian. Also, his whole thing is that his father is the Emperor lol
Lastly, horse boy Harry will want to divorce Evie if romanced and marry The Hedonist instead. If you refuse to marry him, he divorces her anyway but doesn't stay with The Hedonist. A friend!Harry stays with Evie, I think? I don't know.

hi!! i just finished reading cold bloodlines and am curious to hear more!! answer as many or as little of my questions as you'd like; no pressure!
how did you come up with this story? how has it developed and changed since its inception?
what does the future hold for lizardstrike, dampfang, newtkit/mistkit, &/or pineshade?
do you have any scenes that were scrapped? little fun bits or plotlines you couldn't fit in?
how did you think of the old shadowclan traditions?
any fun bits of trivia you have about the characters?
Thanks so much for reading and for the questions!! I'll try to answer as much as I can :)
(For anyone reading this who hasn't read or finished my Warriors fanfiction Cold Bloodlines, this answer contains various SPOILERS for the entire fic.)
how did you come up with this story?
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the very first idea that inspired this story centered on Frostmask and Paledusk's relationship. Basically, I wanted the main antagonist to be the main character's father, who was toxic and manipulative, and the story would end with the main character realizing the truth of his nature and defeating him.
Other key ideas I had from the beginning included Swoopstrike as Frost's mentor, and their improving relationship up until his ultimate death. The Autumn/Frost romance and the family they have together was also in the plans from the get-go to act as a parallel/foil to Frostmask's relationship with Paledusk. (Comparing their healthy and supportive love to Paledusk's conditional and manipulative "love.")
The other really central idea I had starting out was just that I wanted this story to ultimately be about finding a home/community/family.
how has it developed and changed since its inception?
Oof a lot lol. While the core of the story I mentioned above remained intact, so many more ideas grew out of it. For example, characters like Pepper and Salt didn't exist in my very first outline, and other characters like Pineshade had much more minor roles.
Initially, I'd conceived of this fic as being a much shorter story, but I definitely got swept away by these characters, their web of relationships, and all the side plots that built up to the main one. That's how this fic that I'd thought would be less than 100k words turned into a 450k word trilogy.
what does the future hold for lizardstrike, dampfang, newtkit/mistkit, &/or pineshade?
(Note that while these are my thoughts, I don't necessarily consider them "canon" since they aren't written in the fic. So you are more than free to imagine something different if you prefer!)
Lizardstrike has a long and happy life as a warrior, eventually becoming mates with his long-time friend Cedarfur :)
In the days after Dampfang leaves ShadowClan, he is pretty beat-up, which leaves him very injured in the unclaimed land in the space between ShadowClan territory and Highstones. Some kind loners/rogues that live in a barn in the area stumble upon him and pity on him. Despite his hostilities to them, he is too weak to resist their assistance, and their charity ultimately saves his life.
Afterward, Dampfang attempts to live on his own for a bit, but he finds it difficult both for practical reasons and because he'd spent his entire life living with other cats and is lonely. He ends up living with the small loner group. His experience as a rogue/with these rogues forces him to develop some empathy for them, and he slowly lets go of his hatred.
After he goes through this growth, him rejoining ShadowClan at some point down the line isn't completely out of the question, although I doubt it would happen while Sedgestar was still leader.
Newtkit and Mistkit's warrior names are Newtspots and Mistpool, but I honestly don't have a ton of thoughts at this moment about their futures specifically.
Pineshade and Murmurstep do officially become mates, and when Sedgestar loses his last life a few years after the end of the fic, Pineshade becomes Pinestar. Pinestar asks Frostmask if she will be her deputy, and after having spent several years as a normal warrior, Frostmask is ready to take on that responsibility again and support her friend, so she accepts. They make a very good team leading ShadowClan for many more years, but when Frostmask passes, it is ultimately Dawnstar (the leader of ShadowClan when SkyClan is exiled from the forest. She is not born by the time the fic ends) who becomes deputy and succeeds Pinestar.
do you have any scenes that were scrapped? little fun bits or plotlines you couldn't fit in?
Hmm there were several little things that I ended up scrapping, but the thing that is immediately coming to mind is the prophecy/vision given to Clearstream at the very start of the fic.
"I was walking through an unfamiliar forest covered in snow. I could not hear or scent any other cat," Clearstream said. "Suddenly, a large, white owl swooped over my head. I could tell it was hunting, and I was frightened for a moment since I was alone, and it could easily decide I was prey. But then I heard a voice speak 'ShadowClan does not need to fear the snow,’ and suddenly my pelt was warmed. All our clan-mates were clustered around me. We were keeping each other warm and safe, and the owl flew away."
Originally, that was going to be a bigger deal about Frostmask and her role in aiding ShadowClan by defeating Paledusk. The wording of the prophecy used to be more obviously about an individual cat (Frostmask,) saying 'ShadowClan does not need to fear the snow. From the cold, great strength soars.'
But when I decided that I wanted to keep StarClan's involvement in this story to a minimum, the vision became a much more minor plot point that was mostly about ShadowClan supporting each other through this difficult time, with only some vague hints about StarClan approving of ShadowClan accepting Frostmask ("ShadowClan does not need to fear the snow [aka: the frost]".) And, a bit of foreshadowing about Paledusk's threat. (At different points throughout the story, Paledusk is compared in the narration to a white owl, like the owl hunting Clearstream in the vision.)
Ultimately, I'm glad that I ended up changing this since like I said, I wanted very little StarClan shenanigans in this story. But, I also didn't want Cold Bloodline's premise to feel too much like Firestar's, with the outsider joining a Clan, along with a prophecy that they will end up saving it.
how did you think of the old shadowclan traditions?
As I mentioned above, it was important to me that ShadowClan felt like a rich, living, tight-knit community, so that's what first prompted me to try to think of more traditions to do that.
The traditions I came up with mostly came from me just trying to dig a little deeper into aspects of Clan culture which already exist in canon. For example, the Clans love having ceremonies about everything, so why shouldn't there be a more structured death ceremony/funeral, rather than simply just a vigil? I also thought a lot about the ShadowClan stereotypes, like being stealthy and independent, and tried to think of traditions that reflected those values. That's how I came up with things like the apprentice's night-time assessment, which is kept a secret from the young cats of the Clan so that it's a genuine surprise/test for them.
any fun bits of trivia you have about the characters?
Bingo, the kittypet who helps Frostmask navigate the twoleg-place, is a tribute to my childhood cat Bingo! The real Bingo was the most patient cat I've ever met in my life. He'd act grumpy, swishing his tail, while my siblings and I as very little kids pet/bothered him, but he never bit or scratched us. I tried to reflect his personality in the fic, with him seeming at times a bit grumpy and reluctant, but still being kind and immensely helpful for Frostmask.

Yo what’s your opinion on Solas from Dragon Age? I swear if I see his scalp one more time in a trailer…
LOL? i love this question
to be completely honest, i'm pretty indifferent towards solas. i don't like his romance, but i do think he has some interesting interactions, he has potential, and i don't hate him like, as a character.... but i DO agree, i am very tired of bioware doing nothing but showing us solas for the last *checks watch* seven years. we get it the game is literally called dreadwolf. i would like to see any other character or maybe even perhaps gameplay, please
also i honestly do not like inquisition and i'm pretty indifferent overall towards dragon age now, i probably won't be playing unless it finally comes out and like, blows everyone's socks off. i'm very much over playing mediocre and/or broken games for $70 at this point... maybe i'll fish it out of the bargain bin eventually.
i wish solas had been the villain in inquisition, corypheus sucked and i think it would have been more satisfying both for solas's arc but also to have the inquisitor's story fully wrapped up in that game rather than having (assuming there will be a new protag) someone else come in and finish it.
i honestly have no idea if they're going to do the origins in this game, part of me says 100% yes because that's what everyone plays these games for lol but also it's just.... to ME, from a storytelling perspective, Does Not make sense to bring someone else in, when solas is so closely tied to the inquisitor and that emotional impact is already there. but if they do, then the only option is the inquisitor gets banished into the void like the warden or we get another super ooc moment like with hawke, along with an annoying forced emotional moment that only the player cares about (like choosing between hawke and alistair, while the inquisitor just stands there 🧍) which none of that is appealing but especially with solas being so important to the story it's just disappointing.
but who knows what they're planning... not us, since all they keep doing is flashing that annoying man's bald ass head
#im a pretty casual dragon age enjoyer at this point#ive replayed origins and 2 a lot but i only ever got thru inquisition once and. it's not my favorite lmfao#kinda killed any interest i had#that and the rancid fandom#like im very casual. i just play the games and have fun i don't read all the lore and i dont go out of my way to#just sayin but your game's lore should all be accessible... in the game...#anyways i feel like dreadwolf is the second act of inquisition that they Wanted to be a part of that game#but due to EA being the way that they are and bad labor practices all around they never got to finish#and god only knows what's going on over there now...#ask#anonymous

hi! i really love your designs, the colours are always really well done anf the characters are full of life.. and i love how your rewrites give the characters complexity and make them really interesting to me, much more so than canon(though i am a fan of some ideas introduced there, they don’t quite turn out in ways that make sense to me)! i’ve been wondering a few things about helluva troupe for a while however and hopefully the answers aren’t spoilers, lol.. in HT, what is Fizz’s involvement with the ‘troupe’ and what is stolas’s involvement too.? i wish you much luck on your work as it is lovely to see! (also apologies for my silly username)
Thank You!
Thank you so much that means a lot!! waaAahee! It makes me happy to see people interested 🥺👉👈
With Fizz it's,,, a bit Fuzzy, because hilariously he's the whole reason I made this AU among other things But I ended up makinh him a sorta side character antag again because while originally he was going to be part of the main crew from the start of HT's storyline, as I went along in trying to write I saw some cool hcs about his star clown days and so I thought to use the more canonized view- mostly in that he's a star clown during the events of HT instead of dropping the show life to join Blitz in I.M.P. That previous version is why you see him in the I.M.P references- and hinty hoo that ol version isnt completely null and voice to the current HT
ANYWAY so yeah- While Fizz isn't as much a main character as he was he still has a great deal of importance to the story and themes I want to express in HT. When it comes to him and the Troupe itself, I could best describe him as one of the biggest foils or parallels to the main cast. Just,, he's this golden image that represents their every want fulfilled. For Blitz especially given their thick history heehooo. (That's not to say this 'golden image' is entirely as it seems btw...)
Now it sounds much like canon I know but I like to think I'm taking a different direction with it- It's not really just the "haha you suck with relationships, fuck, shit, pénis im doing better look at my good relationship" nonsense cuz for 1. Fizzarozzie does nOT exist anymore- its Mamzie now 😊 (Mammon + Ozzie) and 2. The themes with Fizz and really most of HT has less to do with the melodramatic romance "will they wont they" of Stolitz (which isnt really a thing either) and more the struggle impoverished and oppressed peoples experience with success, failure, identity, community, family, status, history, trauma, etccc. Specifically, because I am an indigenous person from Canada, a lot of the themes are drawn from my own experiences, knowledge and history as an indigenous person. Though with execution, creative liberties were taken to make the fact they're in Hell clear btww-
That very likely did nOT answer jour question but i amn,,,stoopi 😭😭😭 simpler answer i suppose maybe by chance would be Fizz is an eventual antagonist to I.M.P. Specifics and how it happens and wheNNN?? Im still not sure yet if im honest- been really busy the last year or so and so Ive hadnt had any time or energy to work as much on writing all the things! ;u; thats probs disappointing to hear cuz plaNNing and all is important if you're gonna post story stuff at all,,, but !! I do hope to work more on the story this year so i can wrap up all these floating ideas into a Concrete line of stuff cuz truly all im missing is the middle pieces. Maybe an HT comic will be real this/or next year! 👀🏃
ANYHOOT ONTO STOLAS! i rambled a bit too much about Fizz cuz im still figuring him out- Stolas might be a bit shorter cuz his role is sweet and simplisticerr.
So, Stolas is an antagonist. He and Blitz still have an exchange sort of deal, but the deal is Blitz gets to keep the grimoire for I.M.P if he handles Stolas' "errands" and gives it back on the full moon with ofc none of the uh,,hawny stuff, obv. Blitz kinda keeps this deal under wraps from the rest of I.M.P because for him, it hurts his pride to admit he's in need of some big guy's help. And Stolas is somewhat aware of this. And so, Stolas is this looming, cruel threat that Blitz carries the burden of cuz he's stubborn as fuck whilst the rest of I.M.P remain ignorant.
Some bonus notes that dont really have to do with Stolas involvement with imp but jus how stuff ive changed with his canon influence the story diff than canon; so, Stella isnt a thing anymore. In general the Goetia work much differently- majority of the Goetia being the children of Ozzie instead of Paimon (who is Stolas' sibling now btw too) and the Goetia being thousands of years old instead of fucking 30- Also! While Via is existant she is but a baby instead of a moody teen,, ties heavily with Stolas' motives and how he operates as a character, royal, and Goetian and felt it would work better with how HT Stolas is as a character than it would otherwise.
Also no worries about the username! I dont like canon stolas much either lol,,;
I apologize if this didnt answer much 😭 feel free to let me know if you wanna hear about somn else gwahgh 🏃

During The Rainstorm - Chapter Three
↳ Pairing: Hwang Hyunjin x Yoon Seol (OC)
↳ Genre: Romance, comedy, smut (eventual), slow burn, enemies (idiots) to lovers, non!idol au, angst
↳ Series warnings: See Chapter One
↳ Chapter Warnings: Seol has a panic attack :(, terrible ending, language, other than that it's pretty tame. I guess terrible poetry should be a warning too lol
↳ Read on my A03: Here
↳ Masterlist & Summery: Here
↳ Notes: This is a repost of this series and I think a re-upload of the first chapter. I also am taking the liberty of making a name change of one of the characters. Woojin and Minho are switching names/characters. Also, before the Tag Police come for me, this story is going to be both smutty and angsty so my tags are appropriate.
<- Chapter Two - Chapter Four ->
SEOL TRIED TO listen to Minho’s uncle as he rambled on and on about the order of the wedding ceremony. Dayeon and Minho listened intently, but waves crashed in Seol’s ears rendering her deaf. His sharp gaze burned holes into her back and Seol cursed the world for being so damn small. Of all places, of all people, of all friends, how did Hwang Hyunjin end up here at this wedding as one of Minho’s friends?
The weekend they spent together was a whirlwind of emotions and Seol bared her soul to him with the understanding that she’d likely never see him again. It wasn’t that she didn’t like him. In fact, it had been quite the opposite. Seol thought that she might have liked him too much. As the weekend progressed, things between them began to feel too easy and comfortable. After the ordeal she’d just had, however, the idea of going through something like that again scared her more than the idea of a future with Hyunjin. After six whole months of easily and successfully avoiding him, how had he shown up here? Of all places, Hwang Hyunjin had to be here.
Minho’s uncle explained that Seol would be sitting off to the side but would have a place at a front table to retreat to after her poem. Seol nodded and headed to the chair obediently to wait her turn. Dayeon and Minho set off down the aisle to wait for their cue to walk back down. Apparently, this was not Minho's uncle’s first wedding so he knew exactly how things should pan out. Despite being a judge who spent most of his time in the courtroom, Judge Kim had a romantic side and performed many of the weddings in his family. Dayeon explained earlier that, even though this was common for him, he cried when Minho asked him to do their wedding. Judge Kim found his spot at the speaker's podium set up to the left of the altar for this purpose and spoke into the microphone. His commanding voice echoed in the large room as he read off his opening remarks.
Seol stared at Judge Kim, willing her brain to pay even the slightest bit of attention. She couldn’t hear a word he said, despite his voice being the loudest in the room. Minho made his way back down the aisle first and his friends cheered him on, despite it being only the practice. Seol didn’t look to see if Hyunjin joined in with the cheers. She wondered if the weight on her shoulders was due to the gaze he held her in. Next, Dayeon made her way down the aisle and Seol tried to smile as she watched her cousin practically glow with happiness. Against her will, tears pricked at Seol’s eyes and she had a feeling that she’d be crying tomorrow during the ceremony proper. Something about weddings always made her cry, but now to be part of one was an honor in of itself.
Judge Kim rambled off of his notes for a few minutes, going over a short version of the ceremony. He paraphrased some of the things he planned to say at the actual ceremony, before placing the attention on Seol. He explained that Dayeon’s cousin wrote for a living and that she agreed to let her first public event be the wedding of her best friend, reading one of Dayeon’s favorite poems from the last collection. Nausea bubbled up in Seol’s throat when Judge Kim invited her to the podium. She gripped the hem of her skirt as she rose to her feet and made her way to the podium. Judge Kim stepped aside and gestured for Seol to take his spot. Seol cleared her throat and stepped up to the microphone.
“Hi, my name is Yoon Seol and I am Dayeon’s cousin.” Seol began, trying desperately to remember what she wrote on the page she had pressed between the pages of her book. “I can’t remember everything I was going to say, so I guess we can just pretend that I read the poem and move on?”
“Are you sure?” Judge Kim offered her a kind smile. Seol’s hands shook and she gripped the podium for dear life. Her face flushed red but her body shivered with cold.
Looking over the large room filled with seats was even more daunting from this angle. When her voice boomed through the room, all of Seol’s muscles tensed. Her knuckles slowly began turning snow white from her grip on the podium. Her breathing shook and she wasn’t confident in her ability to say anything coherently. Slowly, she nodded and Judge Kim gestured for her to go sit back down. Seol whirled around and headed back towards her chair. Her footsteps echoed through the room and she winced at the noise, wishing more than anything that she would simply cease to exist. Her hand reached up to wipe the back of her neck, finding it damp with sweat and she winced.
Judge Kim continued with the ceremony and Dayeon and Minho listened intently. Dayeon shot a worried glance at Seol but had to focus on the task at hand. Seol reached for her bag and dug around in it desperately. Her throat began to close and she couldn’t remember how to breathe. She took heaving breaths as her fingers fumbled for the small pill bottle that rattled around in her purse. Despite her bag being relatively small, it somehow evaded her well. Seol glanced around her on either side of the chair, wincing when she found no water. The closest glass would be on the table with the girls, but she had neither the desire or the strength to cross the stage to reach it.
Finally, Seol’s fingers grasped the small pill bottle and she made quick work of getting it open and pouring one into her hand. She sucked on her teeth to allow her saliva to pool on her tongue, a poor substitute for water. Once she was confident she had enough where the small rectangular pill wouldn’t get stuck in her throat, she tossed her head back and dropped the pill onto her tongue. The dry edges scraped her throat as she swallowed and she winced. Seol cursed under her breath, wishing that she hadn’t needed to take her panic medicine and she wondered if she would need to take some before the ceremony tomorrow.
Seol closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths, just like her therapist told her to do when it got bad. Her hands clenched into fists and tried to think of anything else except for the massive room that would be filled with friends and family in less than twenty four hours. There was a reason why Seol didn’t do public events. She thought that, for Dayeons sake, she could power through it and get through one measly reading. However, the more she thought about it the less sure she became. Slowly, she lifted her hands to cover her ears, the only way she knew how to fight the oncoming attack.
The lightning flashed and the thunder crashed and Seol leapt up from her place on the floor to retreat. Her heart hammered in her chest, drowning out the outside world as she retreated into the bathroom. Hyunjin called after her, but she couldn’t hear him. Seol swung the door shut, but the latch didn’t click behind her. She fell to the floor and leaned against the edge of the tub. She dropped her head into her hands as her body shook uncontrollably.
Panic rose in her throat when another crash of thunder rolled through the building and she let out a choked sob. She couldn’t help the fear that bubbled up within her at the thought of lightning or the loud crack of thunder. Seol wished she could attribute her fear to childhood trauma, or a single event that messed everything up but she couldn’t. Despite knowing that her fear was irrational, it didn’t make it any better. She could hear Hyunjin’s voice calling for her outside the door but she couldn’t understand what he was saying.
Another roll of thunder shook the building and Seol let out a pathetic yelp and hid her head between her knees. At this, Hyunjin slowly pushed the door of the bathroom open and peered in experimentally. When he saw her on the floor, he immediately hurried over and fell to his knees in front of her. He reached out and ran his hands through her hair and gently patted her shoulder, trying to coax him to look at him.
“Seol-ah, are you okay?” Hyunjin whispered. Seol couldn’t say anything. He hesitated for a moment before venturing forward with his assumption. “Are you afraid of storms?”
“Yes.” She squeaked. “You must think I’m a child, being afraid of the weather.”
“No, not at all.” Hyunjin’s warm voice filled her and his soft laugh made her finally look at him.
Hyunjin smiled at her softly, laughter playing in his eyes. Despite his smile, Seol knew he wasn’t laughing at her. He caressed her softly, carefully moving her hair away from her face and cupping her cheeks softly as if to pull her back to the real world. Her body shook beyond her control and he rubbed one of his hands up and down her back and along her arm.
Another crash of thunder.
Seol let out a sob against her will and dropped her head between her knees once more. Hyunjin kept rubbing soothing circles into his skin, but his touch didn’t help her shivers and shakes when a flash of lightning outside made the lights flicker inside. Hyunjin moved away from her suddenly and Seol gasped from the lack of his warm touch, immediately reaching for him as he moved away. Her fingers grasped the sleeve of his white button down and he stopped moving immediately. Hyunjin turned back to her with wide eyes before he relaxed back into his easy smile. He reached out to gently caress her jaw. He touched her like they’d known each other for years rather than just a few hours.
“Don’t worry, I’m just closing the door so you don’t have to see the lightning.” Hyunjin whispered. At this, Seol released him.
Hyunjin leaned over and pushed the bathroom door shut, muffling the rumbling storm outside. The hum of the rain softened and the crashing thunder quieted. Hyunjin moved to kneel in front of her, sinking his knees into the plush bathroom rug. He titled his head as he took in Seol’s trembling form. It was as if she was trying to fold into herself and become as small as possible. Seol’s hands sought him out once more, her fingers curling into the fabric covering his broad shoulders.
“I-I’m sorry. We were having such a good time and-” Seol choked, squeezing her eyes shut when a particularly loud crack of thunder permeated the door.
“It’s okay. Hey, look at me.” Hyunjin whispered.
Slowly, Seol looked up at him and let out a breathless sigh when she met his eyes. His hands moved up until his palms covered her ears. Instead of thunder, she suddenly heard the ocean crashing in her ears. As blood pumped through his veins, it reminded her of the calm waves they’d seen just earlier that night. Hyunjin’s elf-like features were morphed into a calm smile. His eyes twinkled with stars, despite the harsh lighting in the bathroom. His plush lips were tinted red from the strawberries they’d been eating and were switching between being pressed together and parted in a small ‘o’ as he blew out his lungful of air. It took a moment for Seol to realize that he was breathing seven seconds in, holding for five seconds, and breathing out for eight seconds. It took a little longer to realize that after a few rounds, she’d begun to follow him.
Her eyes took him in from his luscious eyebrows, to his sharp cheekbones, to his lips which she knew would taste like dessert. Seol’s tongue darted out to wet her lips, surprising herself that even in the midst of a panic attack, she could only think about the beautiful man in front of her. Every so often, the press of his hands on her ears tightened and she knew that meant that thunder crashed outside. Despite knowing, her heart rate slowed and her breathing evened out. Hyunjin watched her carefully as her body normalized. He smiled softly and Seol didn’t have it in her to deny what her body suddenly wanted so desperately.
Seol’s grip on him tightened. His smile faltered, but he seemed to understand. Seol pulled him half an inch closer, her eyes dropping from his eyes to his lips. Hyunjin waited, hovering inches above her. Seol waited for her confidence to grow.
And grow it did.
“Seol-ah!” Dayeon grasped her cousin’s hands tightly, pulling them away from her ears and pulling Seol back into the present. Seol’s heart hammered in her ears and her chest ached. “Are you okay?”
“Here, drink this.” Minho knelt before her with a glass of ice water in his hand. Dayeon released one of Seol’s hands so she could grasp the cold glass. Instantly, the cold snapped her from the warmth of the hotel bathroom floor to the wedding hall.
“You scared me! I’m sorry, I should have never asked this of you.” Dayeon frowned, gripping her hand tighter. “I know you hate public speaking.”
“No...” Seol managed through her burning throat. She paused to drink down the water, sighing as the frigid water soothed her hot skin. “No, I agreed to this. I want to do it. I guess I didn’t realize how big the room would be.”
“You don’t have to do it if you don’t want to. We can always have my uncle read the poem instead.” Minho assured her, taking the water glass when she was done with it.
“No, please. I can do it. I promise.” Seol shook her head. “God, I’m sorry I didn’t mean to interrupt.”
“It’s okay. There wasn’t much left in the ceremony anyway. I didn’t realize how bad you were until after the ring exchange. Do you want to lay down?” Dayeon offered.
“No, I’ll be fine. I swear, let’s just eat and get on with it, okay?”
Dayeon and Minho exchanged a worried glance that didn’t go unnoticed by Seol, but she had her reasons. If, perhaps, today wasn’t the eve of the most important day of Dayeon’s life, or if Hyunjin wasn’t sitting over at the table watching her then maybe Seol would go back up to her room and lay down. However, Seol didn’t like that Hyunjin had witnessed not one but two panic attacks. She didn’t want him to see her weak. Not again.
Seol slowly rose to her feet, trying to ignore her shaky knees. Minho slowly rose to his feet with her, hands extended as if to catch her if she fell. Seol, determined to not rely on anyone, took the water glass from him and asked where her seat was for brunch. She pretended not to notice the two tables of the wedding party watching her as she crossed the stage towards them. Seol didn’t think her attack was that intense and she hoped that it was the attention she was getting from the couple that brought the attention onto her. The last thing she wanted was to be observed by another human, much less Hyunjin, but for one weekend she could suffer through it. Dayeon caught up to Seol and linked their arms to walk to the table together. Despite Seol’s outward declaration of independence, she was glad for the morsel of support.
“You’re sure you’re okay?” Dayeon whispered in Seol’s ear.
“Yes, I’m fine. I promise. I was going to try and do it tomorrow without my medicine, but I don’t think I’ll be able to.” Seol admitted with a wince.
“That’s okay. I want you to be comfortable above all else.” Dayeon smiled warmly. “I really hope you like my friends.”
“I’m sure I will!” Seol exclaimed. “I mean, I already see Minju and we always got along in school.”
“I know, I know. It just feels weird because several parts of my life are all combining and it feels weird, you know? Hopefully you’ll combine with one of Minho’s friends.” Dayeon wiggled her eyebrows suggestively and Seol lightly smacked her cousin’s arm.
“Shut up. I don’t think that will ever happen, especially not after that little display.” Seol scoffed, the urge to look over at Hyunjin finally washing over her. She couldn’t ignore him any longer.
Hyunjin, thankfully, wasn’t looking at her. Instead, he talked and laughed with the other guys sitting around his table and Seol was grateful to see that his anger with her wasn’t obvious on his face. His eyes, normally as dark as night, sparkled in the light from the chandeliers. He had strong bone structure in his jaw and cheeks and Seol was certain that he could cut paper with the angles of his face. When he smiled, his eyes creased into small crescent moons and his cheeks reminded her of a chipmunk. His teeth were perfectly straight and blindingly white. His laugh was clear as a bell and Seol didn’t know if she could keep her eyes off of him after this. As he laughed, he ran a hand through his jet black hair that currently fell to about jaw length.
She remembered when she first saw it like this. Seol told him just how much she liked it down and he’d laughed so beautifully and an endearing blush graced his skin. She wished that he would smile at her like that again, but she wasn’t sure she deserved a second chance. Seol could almost feel the ghost of his long slender fingers on her skin and in her hair as his other hand fumbled with the zipper of her dress.
He must have sensed her gaze on him, because during a lull in the conversation, Hyunjin glanced up and locked eyes with her. Instantly, the warmth in them froze over completely the moment he realized she was looking. Seol swallowed thickly, watching the sweet man who she’d spent the warmest weekend of her life with turn into someone who wanted nothing to do with her. She could only imagine what he thought of her.
“Girls!” Dayeon’s voice cut through Seol’s train of thought and forced her to turn her attention away from the beautiful man. “Are you hungry?”
“Starving!” One of them responded and the others murmured in agreement.
“Good, me too. They’ll be bringing our plates out any second. Seol-ah, sit next to me.” Dayeon beamed brightly, gesturing to the two open seats together. Seol sat obediently, setting her glass of water down and waiting.
“Are you okay, Seol-ah?” Minju, arguably Dayeon’s best friend all through college, leaned over the table to talk to her. “Public speaking still makes you nervous, huh?”
“Yeah, I’ll be fine. I’ve gotten a lot better since college, at least.” Seol assured her.
“I’m so looking forward to the ceremony tomorrow! It’s going to be so beautiful.” Minju sighed dreamily.
“Me too, I can’t wait.” Seol tried to smile enthusiastically, but her heavy eyelids made it difficult to fake.
Thankfully, the attention moved away from Seol and onto Dayeon. The others fawned over the beautiful venue and their excitement for the ceremony. Dayeon indulged them, just as excited about it. She took it upon herself to introduce everyone to each other and Seol’s brain rejected the new information, still too tired from her anxiety attack. With any luck, brunch would help her body remember to exist properly. Seol couldn’t afford to be anxious any longer.
Waiters dressed in proper uniforms made their way into the hall with plates of food in their hands and Seol’s stomach growled instinctively. One by one, both tables were served a gorgeous plate of brunch. Some people had salads or eggs and toast while others, like Seol, opted for a stack of pancakes. After waking up early and being on a plane all morning, plus knowing that she had a long night ahead, Seol figured that some carbs would help her get through. Most of the other girls went for the healthier options, seeing as they all had dresses to fit in the next night. By that logic, so did Seol, but she had a feeling she wouldn’t be able to eat much between now and then anyway due to her nerves. She had to take it where she could get it.
Curious, Seol glanced over at the table where the boys sat to see if she could catch a glimpse of what Hyunjin was eating. She recalled him liking pancakes just like her, which surprised her because his tall and lithe form gave her the impression that he drank kale smoothies for breakfast. Not that it was particularly a bad thing, but the first morning they spent together he’d surprised her by offering to make breakfast. They went grocery shopping and spent the morning in her hotel room cooking together and laughing about this and that. Something about the way he’d looked at her, with warm affection in his eyes that she’d never seen from anyone else, scared the shit out of her. Seol wanted to bask in that warm morning forever, but the sun rose higher into the sky and she’d made a decision that she regretted even now.
Much to Seol’s dismay, the floral centerpiece hid Hyunjin’s plate. Hyunjin, on the other hand, was not so obstructed. His plump lips were curved into a smile as he listened to the conversation at his table. Once the others all had their plates, he pulled a white hair tie from his wrist. Seol’s mouth watered when Hyunjin ran his long, slender fingers through his black locks to secure them in a small ponytail so it wouldn’t get in the way as he ate. If Seol imagined it hard enough, she could remember how he ran them through her hair.
“First,
They catch me as I tumble from grace. They hold my body close to his and protect me from the cold. The harsh outside world has no place between us. Not when his hands hold me so warmly.
Second,
They caress my frigid skin when he pushes my hair behind my ear. The places where they touch lights my skin on fire and make my skin forget the ice. His fingers linger there on my cheek a second too long”
Seol recalled the verses she’d written about his hands. Like most poetry she wrote about Hyunjin, she’d written them in bed with tears staining her face and the page. When she’d attempted to translate the words on the paper into her document, the words were so smudged by teats she almost couldn’t read it. The one about his hands ended up being an embarrassing eight stanzas long, but it was nothing compared to the ode she wrote to him next.
Before she could linger on it, the girls at the table struck up a conversation. Seol’s ears perked up when Dayeon mentioned her name and before she knew it, the girls were staring at her with polite smiles. She glanced at Dayeon waiting for a clue but nothing came for a few long seconds. It took her cousin a moment to get it, but Dayeon quickly caught on.
“Seol-ah, what do you do for a living?” Dayeon spoke slowly.
“Ah...” Seol cleared her throat, “I write for a living. I'm actually a poet, but I’m trying to write a novel.”
“Oh, interesting! I tried to be a writer in school, but I never had a way with words.” One of Dayeon’s friends spoke up. Seol glanced at her cousin who mouthed the person’s name.
“What did you end up doing instead, Sana-ssi?” Seol responded casually as she started to cut into her pancakes.
“I went into nursing. I’ve been thinking about going back to medical school to become a doctor, but I have no idea what I’d specialize in.” Sana twirled her fork around in her salad, simultaneously twirling a strand of her dyed silver hair around her finger.
“My brother is in medical school right now!” Minju spoke up. “He’s studying to be... oh I forget the fancy name for it, but he’s going to be a lung doctor. Apparently there’s a lot to know about the lungs.”
“Yeah we spent like a month on them in nursing school. If anything, I’d want to go into neurology or something but I haven’t made up my mind yet.” Sana shrugged. “Oh yeah, Yeji-yah, did you ever go through with your master’s degree? I know you wanted one in undergrad.”
“I did! It took a few years though, but I had to take a year off when my dad got sick.” Yeji, another friend that Seol vaguely remembered Dayeon talking about a lot, responded. “I got it in robotics engineering and now I work at Samsung doing product testing. It’s pretty nice.”
“You guys are all doing so well!” Dayeon exclaimed. “I’m so happy to see you all successful.”
“I love my job and all but I wish I was marrying Prince Charming.” Sana giggled and the other girls agreed hurriedly.
“Come on, Jaebeom isn’t that bad!”
“Oh please, we broke up months ago! He was getting uncomfortably clingy. I’ve been riding the single train since last summer and, let me tell you, I’ve never been happier to be single. Minho’s friends are all gorgeous. Did he make friends with a bunch of models in college?” Sana glanced over at the table of guys who were laughing and eating without a care in the world.
“Seriously, they’re all hot.” Minju agreed. “Who are all of his friends?”
“Hm, it looks like...” Dayeon peered over at the table, “Changbin, Seungmin, Chan, and Hyunjin. He’s got a couple more friends coming in tomorrow.”
“Damn... Do you know Seungmin’s type?” Yeji asked offhandedly.
“Yeji-yah, aren’t you still with Jaehyung?”
“Yeah, but I think he’s sleeping with his secretary. Besides, I’m allowed to look if he isn’t here.”
“Dayeon-ah, you have to introduce me to whoever’s got his hair up.” Sana’s voice dropped into a sultry tone and Seol swallowed thickly, following the other girl’s gaze to where Hyunjin sat.
“Ah, Hyunjin?” Dayeon mused, “He is hot but...”
“But? Does he have something wrong with him?”
“Kind of? I don’t know the full details or anything, but he doesn’t really date.”
“He doesn’t? God, he’s gorgeous. The world would be sad if he didn’t procreate.” Sana sighed wistfully, glancing at him once more before turning back to her food. Seol’s face flushed a deep red and she tried to hide it by taking a long drink of water.
He certainly likes to try.
“Girl, don’t I know it.” Dayeon giggled. “But a few months ago he told Minho that he wasn’t sure he had it in him to date anymore.”
“Maybe he’s just taking a break. There’s no shame in that.” Yeji suggested, but Dayeon shook her head at the suggestion.
“That’s part of it, but I could tell there was more to it. I think... he wants someone unattainable, so he’s hiding in his shell like a turtle so he doesn’t get hurt. Minho has tried to set him up a couple of times, but nothing ever took. Hyunjin has been particularly resistant in the last few months.”
“It’s nice of Minho to try and help him! Maybe I should ask him to help me find someone.” Sana mused. “It’s a shame we can’t just clone Minho so we can each get one for ourselves.”
“Please, they’d all just be obsessed with Dayeon!” Minju laughed and Seol let out an unflattering snort as she tried to suppress her laughter. “And I mean, who can blame him?”
“Oh, you spoil me!” Dayeon lightly slapped Minju’s shoulder across the table before turning to Seol and wiggling her eyebrows suggestively. “What do you think? Do you think any of Minho’s friend are cute?”
“Uh...” Seol glanced over at the table, her eyes really only focusing on Hyunjin and no one else in the group. She could barely see past him. “No... Not really? I mean, they’re cute but no one... ahem... stands out.”
“You seriously don’t like any of them?”
“I don’t know, you know I prefer talking to people before I judge them on their looks.” Seol knew she sounded boring, but with Hyunjin sitting only a few feet away, she could barely imagine seeing anyone else.
The time she’d spent with Hyunjin, all in all, had been brief. No more than a couple of days. However, it was enough to make her see the world just a little differently. Seol initially worried that her relations with Hyunjin were a mere rebound from her ex-boyfriend. Her ex, Woojin, screwed her over and Hyunjin helped her to see the light when she thought that there may never be any again. Seol didn’t date much and she hoped that Woojin would be different. He wasn’t. Hyunjin was. He was there to catch her as she fell through the dark abyss of betrayal and he was the hand that kept her tethered to the mortal plain of existence where her consciousness-
Seol cleared her throat and shook her head, forcing all poetic thoughts down with another cold drink of water. She’d already written half a book of poetry about the few hours she spent with Hyunjin, she didn’t need to write any more. Seol had no desire to write more poetry about a man she barely knew. He seemed to be her only source of material and she had no desire to only write about him.
“Seol-ah, I’ve been meaning to ask...” Dahyun spoke up. “What is the poem about?”
“I think you’re going to have to be a little more specific.” Minju grinned.
“I mean... ‘The One Time I Was Not Afraid of Storms’. What is it about?”
“I... um... it’s a long story, don’t worry about it.” Seol waved it off, hoping to focus on her breakfast. Dayeon, however, was notoriously persistent.
“I don’t want to push you, but I do want to know.”
“Dayeon-ah, I’m not going to pull the attention off of you. It’s a really long story and I don’t want to bore the others with it.” Seol shook her head.
“I wouldn’t have asked if I didn’t want to hear everything. I could use a break from being the center of attention. I’ve got a big day tomorrow and I need a reprieve.”
“Come on, tell us!” Minju encouraged with a warm smile.
“Yes, please!” Yeji leaned forward.
“I... okay, I guess. Well. About six months ago, I was dating this complete tool, Woojin, and I...”

ok, i feel i must make a wrap-up post to the jane eyre experience for those who were interested.
jane herself is one of my favorite female protagonists ever. she's so straightforward and blunt in a way even women today aren't always allowed to be and she's so true to herself even when she's homeless and starving or when she's being abused (except in the case of st john but i'm getting to that)
i liked most of the side characters who weren't being dicks to jane. rip helen burns i'll remember you forever.
actually, most of jane's relationships with women seemed more interesting than her relationship with men. im out here truthing for gay jane <3 say nothing about diana please that was NOT my fault
for all of her suffering, almost everyone who was ever horrible to jane got theirs in the end. so that was nice.
references to 🖖
the sections with the wife wandering the house at night were legitimately terrifying. like, to me, almost 200 years later, with all of my lights on. holy shit. context has been given to me also about the plot twist being that it's NOT a ghost but just a regular human person being pretty shocking at the time so i also think that's clever
some of the details don't quite click with um 2024 sensibilities. for example, "st john is such a good person going to india to be a missionary and even being willing to die over there" i think he should have died faster and i hope they dumped his body in a garbage heap. also, i was under the impression rochester was keeping a WHITE woman in his attic. like keeping any woman in your attic is bad but COME ON. and finally, there was this really pervasive belief throughout the book that you could glean someone's personality and intelligence etc through their physical features. it was talked about almost as if it was a science, but all it basically amounts to is "beautiful people are Better." ok.jpg
i don't. super feel like rochester was redeemed in the end? i guess i got spoiled by p&p but even though rochester SUFFERED and was PUNISHED he didn't CHANGE. i still don't think he's worthy of jane, and so the ending where she's just his caretaker forever now...i'm glad she's happy but i am a little baffled
i also felt a little baffled by jane letting st john walk all over her there near the end when she had Firmly established earlier she was not that kind of person. she was willing to starve to death rather than compromise her morals even though she really loved rochester, so why on earth did she almost let herself get bullied into a loveless marriage with her own cousin?
THAT SAID, i do like the reading of "well because of how it was she has to get married and rochester gives her the greatest degree of freedom because she has him well-tamed." that's very true.
i think everyone promised me too hard that the end of the book was gonna be good and make the rest of the book worth it because i had built it up in my head to...being a little More somehow. i thought the money was the big break and then it just made her more miserable until she went back to rochester because of ??? supernatural and/or religious reason. i don't think that ending magically fixes everything
i also think that if i go back and rewatch the movie, which i do plan on doing, it might sell me on the jane/rochester romance more, because actors are good at having charisma and making their characters enjoyable to watch on a screen. i think i never quite understood what jane saw in him, but if i could see it, i would be happier about their reunion
i'm still glad i read the book and got to know jane whether the movie fixes it for me or not. she's really one of the best female protags. i remember thinking a few times in the novel lizzy bennet would never have survived some of the stuff jane eyre did...on the other hand, darcy is ten times the man rochester is lol. crossover fic with darcy/jane..............?
anyway, i will make another post when i eventually get around to the movie. hope it fixes me 🤞🤞🤞

Hey whats the backstory of your cmcs and how did they got into relationships with saeran seven and yoosung respectively and what kind of dynamics do they have. I saw your cmc posts so i felt curious
HI okay so I am SOOOO excited to talk about my OCs and their dynamics with their respected lovers.
Eunseo and Yoosung
The best way to describe them is... a lovable clingy dog and his equally lovable owner. The two of them have known each other since high school, and in a way Yoosung was Eunseo's light. Eunseo moved around a lot, therefore she has a skewed sense of identity. She doesn't speak with her biological father and her mother is often out of the house... Yoosung and Eunseo meet when they share a table at the library and Yoosung basically talks about this book she's reading that he was interested in reading. Eventually, they open up to each other and Eunseo talks about how she's always wanted to be an author. Yoosung introduces her to Rika, who encourages her to join a writing contest, and she wins. Since then, Eunseo felt indebted to Rika and joins the RFA.
The thing about Eunseo is that she's an original character rather than a MC! My intentions for her was that she would have her own route and she would be romanceable. To be honest, I may have written a "route" guide waaay back in 2019 for her.
But in this universe in particular, she ends up with Yoosung. Childhood friends to lovers ROCKS!!!
Minyoung and Saeran
These two have a SHIT ton of baggage that comes with them. In this AU, they've been through a whole lot together in Mint Eye. Minyoung has seen the absolute low Saeran has been, living through Ray and Saeran and eventually his Unknown persona.
Their separation begins during the events of Secret End 02, where Saeran does the Big Bad and Jumin's security comes to save the day. Minyoung was back in the programming room the entire time to wipe the Mint Eye servers when the other security guards bust in there and take her away. Minyoung and Saeran never meet after this, as Minyoung and the other believers were escorted separately. For the next two years through a program discreetly funded by C&R, ex-believers are allowed to seek therapy and shelters. Minyoung then moves in to a shitty apartment and works remotely when she sees an ad put up by Eunseo.
Eunseo and Minyoung's dynamic was explained in the previous ask, here. But eventually, Minyoung and Saeran meet again and are given a second chance to fall in love as their real selves <3
That being said, their dynamic is meant to be one of healing. At least in Secret End: After. Their trauma is really difficult to overcome, especially on their own. They learn to not become codependent on each other, they learn to trust themselves and others, and more importantly: They heal their inner child together.
I think these two are very sweet... Minyoung, in comparison to Eunseo, is a self insert.
Chunhwa and Seven
Chunhwa and Seven are quite literally... MC and Seven LOL. Chunhwa is just a named version of the MC in Seven's route, so she acts the way she does in game. Technically, Chunhwa would be YOU.
But she does have her own personality. I like to think that MC is the kind of person who always has light in her heart and sees the good in people, but doesn't allow herself to be stepped on. She is incredibly caring and considerate of the people around her.
In SE:A, her and Seven have been married for about two years, like how in SE 02 Seven proposes to her. Since then, Chunhwa has been happily living with the Choi brothers. She does show lots of concern for Saeran and she believes that seeing Minyoung and reconciling with her would be good for him. On the other hand, Seven disagrees with her because he believes seeing Minyoung might revert his recovery progress from Mint Eye.
Chunhwa is usually the one who plans Girls Nights with Jaehee and Eunseo. When Minyoung is reintroduced to RFA by Saeran, Chunhwa does her best to make Minyoung feel included. She is such a ray of sunshine and I love her so much...
BUT THANK YOU FOR ASKING ABOUT THEM HEHEHE I am so happy to be able to talk about my interpretation of the MM characters. I hope this answered your questions!
#mysme#mystic messenger#saeran choi#saeyoung choi#yoosung kim#zen mystic messenger#jumin han#jaehee kang#rika kim#minyoung chae#eunseo park#secret end: after au#i love u guys thank u for being interested

I just have to say that I clearly need to read the books again bc I’m missing evidence in the argument that it’s “obvious” Elain/Az have “been building for several books.” They had some moments, sure. However, (correct me if I’m wrong) they didn’t meet in the first book. The second book, and possibly third, they were still individually in love with other people. Elain/Grayson and Az/Mor. Once they were kind of the odd ones out, they seem to come together in a comforting/rebound sort of way. Nesta and Cassian were together or at least arguing lol. Feyre and Rhys were together or at least good friends… so who is left? Elain and Az. That doesn’t mean love or even romance? I also understand that Az is so desperate for a mate & that he kind of would gravitate towards Elain bc he feels like it “makes sense” to have the third sister. That also doesn’t mean love or romance. Idk…. Maybe I’m not seeing it or maybe I just interpreted things differently from the start. Though Elain/Lucien and Gwyn/Az all have some healing and growth to go through… I think they can actually eventually be very healthy couples. And I like them all individually, so I’m hoping for a happy ending for them all. Also, not to be dramatic….but the 3 brothers and 3 sisters thing makes me gag and if that happened, idk if I would recover. 😂
Their big moment from ACOMAF is Azriel answering Elain's question about Illyrian's flying.
But.....Elain was only trying to cut through the tension between Cassian, Feyre, and Nesta so she turned to Azriel to ask him the question. And Azriel was only self-conscious because he doesn't like when the attention is on him (which is PROVEN later in the series when Mor and Cassian laugh at a joke he made. This characteristic of Az has NOTHING to do with romance or Elain).
And before that we have, "but Azriel's attention was on my sister, a polite, bland smile on his face."
Ain't no romance like a bland smile romance 😒
That's the thing with E/riel. Everything is "peace and quiet, soft, gentle, bland, polite." And if you have ever read a fantasy book, especially a fantasy book by SJM, THESE ARE NOT GOOD THINGS TO INDICATE AN ENDGAME COUPLE!!!!!!
And in the same novel, we have:
"Mor breezed to my side. She wore a gown of pure white, little more than a slip of silk that showed off her generous curves. Indeed, a glance over her shoulder revealed Azriel staring blatantly at the back view of it, Cassian and the stranger already too deep in conversation to notice what had drawn the spymaster's attention. For a moment, the ravenous hunger on Azriel's face made my stomach tighten."
And.....
"Not the cold, beautiful shadowsinger who tried so hard not to watch her with longing on his face?"
And....
"The issue, actually, wouldn't be me. It'd be him. I could peel off my clothes right in front of him and he wouldn't move an inch. He might have defied and proved those Illyrian pricks wrong at every turn, but it won't matter if Rhys makes him Prince of Velaris - he'll see himself as a bastard-born nobody, and not good enough for anyone. Especially me.
And....
"Azriel's head lifted from where he was sprawled in his own blood, eyes full of rage and pain as he snarled at the king, "Don't you touch her." Mor looked at Azriel - and there was real fear there. Fear - and something else. She didn't stop moving until she again kneeled beside him and pressed a hand to his wound. Azriel hissed - but covered her bloody fingers with his own.
So what's really romantic coding here? Azriel staring with hunger and longing at Mor and never being willing to make a move because he doesn't think he's worthy or Feyre thinking Elain would seek out Az for peace and quiet? One is passion and one is what I'd do with my grandma.
I am almost positive SJM originally planned on Az and Mor ending up together in ACOMAF until she decided she needed more inclusivity in the series and made Mor bisexual in ACOWAR. Which means when she made Elucien mates in ACOMAF, she wasn't remotely thinking about E/riel being a thing.
And then she changed the direction of Mor in ACOWAR which means she needed to created a new storyline for Az and a way that Elain and Lucien needed to avoid one another until it was time for them to accept the bond in their own book. They needed not to fall for one another while she was still mourning the loss of Graysen.
SJM couples do NOT fall in in love with their endgame person while still in love with someone else. She ALWAYS makes sure the reader knows the FMC is over their past love before falling for someone new.
Enter....the E/riel rebound!
Every single moment people think E/riel has in ACOWAR is followed by imagery of why they wouldn't match. It's followed by the fact that he's still hung up on Mor and she's still hung up on Graysen. There is NO love building between them. Then by the end of that book and in ACOFAS, we see Az starting to realize he may never be with Mor and Elain realize she may never get to return to Graysen. So they latched on to the convenient other single person within their orbit that they're "fine" with. That they feel "comfortable" with. Again, not SJM endgame material. And for God's sakes, Elain is in the room on Solstice while Az looks at Mor with yearning! What the hell kind of romance is that?! Elain's obviously chopped liver when Mor's around 🤔
That's why Gwynriel and Elucien's arguments are so strong, because we don't even need to add Lucien or Gwyn to any of this to make it obvious as to what's going on. And that's why Lucien and Gwyn will be endgame because they are separate from the Mor / Az, Elain / Graysen mess. There are no feelings of love involved with Gwynriel or Elucien right now but there is absolutely an overlap between canon evidence of Az being in love with Mor and Elain being in love with Graysen and E/riels saying Elain and Az are in love.
I'm about tired of their "go back and read the book" arguments considering we can refer back to multiple scenes involving multiple characters outside of just the Elucien or Gwynriel ones versus them, who can only recite E/riel moments. I think it's pretty obvious which readers have actually read the book.

heyy mads so actually i need more of your thoughts on amy/laurie and why you don’t understand people defending them…. i remember being kind of baffled by them when i read the book as a young teen so please <3 be a hater <3
hiii laura oh my god i will (gladly) be a hater it comes sooo naturally to me and we all rlly gotta be biting our tongues on here daily, don't we :-/
(pls ... if you are a passionate amy/laurie fan .. just close your eyes and keep scrolling babes i love you sooo much this post cannot hurt you i promise !!!)
OKAY. so i feel like the whole amy/laurie vs jo/laurie debate has been widely discussed (both on The Internet and in my household lol) but for me it's less that i think he should've ended up w jo and more that i think acting like a/l truly love each other and totally definitely make sense is so stupid. it's soooo stupid laura i am rolling my eyes!! can you see me!!!
and the reason i think this! is because, essentially, Alcott uses the four sisters to like ... represent the few limited life paths that were avail to non-wealthy american women in the 19th century, right?
like meg marries the man who is able (if only just) to provide her a stable home. beth pursues her music (piano? if im remembering right) and is content to live her life at home, with her family. amy wants to (and eventually does) marry a wealthy, cultured man of ~Society who can give her a life above the one she was born into.
jo is the wildcard, ofc. the one who goes off-script for the normal young woman, and ofc who alcott views as a reflection of herself. we know that alcott wanted jo to remain unmarried and was strong-armed by publishers to put her w someone, but if she knew she'd have to, then my only explanation for it to not be laurie was to spite the predictable narrative and spite the readers lol.
the guy jo does end up w is so random and just .. makes no sense. if you're making sense of it, you are having to reach so far up your ass to do so! sorry to be crass!!! (rlly leaning into my hater-moment oops)
anyway - the way this connects to amy and laurie is this:
i do not believe (and i'm sure we are not meant to believe) that meg married for love. beth (</3) did not marry ofc. and it's impossible to believe jo married for love if the author intended her to be unmarried. that storyline doesn't exist to me now.
and amy is the sister that is represented as a bit vain; a bit entitled and spoiled in the way youngest children are allowed to be. from the start, it's clear she plans to marry for wealth. even if we're taking from gerwig's adaptation instead of solely the book, then amy still isn't really represented as particularly romantic (the whole 'i'm not a poet' scene) (also tbf it's been awhile since i read the book, but imo she romanticizes her life, yes, but not love itself).
LAURIE is the romantic, the most so, out of all the characters. i genuinely feel like this is the ONLY reason ppl latch onto amy/laurie and try so hard to rationalize it .. bc they can't bear to think of laurie in a marriage that was w his next-best-option rather than True Love (sorry.. by no means a dig at amy...but cmon guys ..)
because i also feel like the only thing laurie really wanted even more than to spend his life w jo, is to be apart of the march family. it was always clear he wanted that, just as it was always clear he loved jo from day 1! and so the only conclusion i was ever able to come from all this is that he loved jo for being jo and he loved amy for being a march sister.
ah god sorry this is SO anysmally long i am SO SO sorry laura dear!! so grateful to you for this opportunity to hate on them (read: cringe & take the romance out of) them as a couple!!! but there is simply no scenario where i can imagine knowing a boy has loved my sister his entire life and then MARRY him after ?? bc she rejected him ??!!! esp knowing amy and jo's history of shared drama. esp bc the entire story is one of sisterhood!
like bro that girl (amy) has mentally been your sister-in-law for a decade ... and now we're saying we LOVE her? puke vom i hate it it makes me cringe and twitchy and yuck. its so weird ppl !!!! so weird.
#omg sooo sorry laura jfc#oh god im so late for something but wow . i feel sooo good rn this was such a nice#sunday activity. coming into your ask box next week to give free ranting reign on whatever ur heart desires <3#answered#laura tag#also this was not a subject for the dreaded capital d Discourse folks if you disagree i full respect that and i will#give you my little sisters number and y’all can chat about how Right and Correct you are and how Dumb and Wrong i am#tbh having opinions is sooo tiring wow. where’s that nick miller quote that’s like ‘damn! how do you guys care about things so much!’#feel both cleansed and like i could go for a nap now!

Introduction To My WIPs
Helloo! I just took a ginger shot and multivitamin in the hopes that I do not get a cold right before the free week I plan to use to get all my uni work done, and my brain is fired up lol. ANYWAY, the other day I got a DM asking about TSLBTY and it hit me that despite all the promo I did for TSLBTY, I still never really talked about it 🤔 so here I am ranting to you about the only healthy loves in my life: the wips (or whips, if you will). Have fun, ig? And it goes without saying to please not steal any of these ideas. Be decent
The Sun Leads Back To You
This is my main project at the moment, and has been my source of therapy for a year now. I restarted the current version in April 2022 when I began getting really bad anxiety attacks again and my mental health was ✨on the ground✨ because how else would I cope lol. I hereby present you with a synopsis 🫶🏼
When on vacation with her family in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, Sofía Barrera finds her almost-boyfriend kissing another girl. In an attempt to make him jealous, she asks a random stranger to kiss her. Eager to make her ex even more crazy, she enlists the help of British tourist Thomas Woods to fake date her.
Thomas Woods doesn’t know what he hates more - the brain melting heat of the Costarrican beach or being forced to spend two weeks with his mother’s fiancé and his brand new step siblings. Desperate to get away from them, he accepts an offer to fake date Sofía in exchange for one thing: she gets him away from his new family as much as possible.
Their deal slowly unravels when Sofia’s family falls apart, and more than ever she’s convinced that she’s destined to stay at home forever, making sure her parents do not break the way they did seven years ago. Add an ex-boyfriend determined to win her back and the moody, yet charming Thomas, and Sofia’s world is soon to be collapsed.
I’m on it’s 3rd Draft, about to start the 4th and final once my beta readers finish reading it sometime this month. My current plan is to start querying it on June 1 as a birthday present to myself :) This book has meant the world to me and has helped me move on from so many things that it only feels appropriate to begin its new chapter as I leave my final days of teenage writerdom and entire my 🤢 20s. Sofia and Thomas are the products of my greatest flaws and pride, and yet I hope they will eventually find home in readers’ hearts like they’ve done in mine.
Songs I Relate To It: folklore love triangle :) or Last Kiss by Taylor Swift (iykyk)
The Wrath of Chaos [working title]
Now that I’ve gotten the super gross part of the way, I am pleased to announce that once I send out TSLBTY into the query trenches, I plan to reimagine one of my favorite worlds I’ve ever written! I tried querying this book before and it went terribly, BUT the other day I got an idea on how to make this book better and I CANT WAIT to put it to paper. While I have loved having my dearest, slightly depressed Marty on the spotlight, I’ve decided to shine a little bit of light on my favorite character of all time: Chaos. In this new version, he will be aged down and gain his own POV chapters in the book so that finally, he and Marty can be direct mirrors of each other like they were always meant to be.
Song I Relate To It: Carry On - The Score, AWOLNATION (or literally any song by The Score lol I swear their entire discography fits)
The Time Travel Wip
Working Title: The Time Keepers or Daughter of Time
One of the darkest concepts I have ever come up with, the time travel wip is a sci-fi/romance/thriller about a girl so desperate to return home, she accidentally destroys time😃 In the unfortunate experience of outlining, I realized that the plot was WAY too flat and so I need to rethink a lot of the aspects, which is why it’s so down the line of priorities right now. But I’m fine with that! Good books take time, and I’m excited to see what this wip will end up in once I’m a little less tired to think it through again lol
My plan for this one is to restart the outline eventually lol as soon as I can figure out how to up the stakes. Usually I have no issue with high stakes, but the entire concept of my characters being lost through time made it really hard to keep up with what they have to lose since it’s so difficult to remember the order of events even though it’s written down haha. Definitely my most ambitious project so far, which is why I have no issue taking my time with it. I’ve rushed through these wips in the past, and I’ve come to learn that a quick project will never be worth more than a well done one.
Song I Relate To It: End Game - Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Future

In honor of me shifting to a new DR tonight, I thought I'd give you guys a brief run through on one of my newest shifting destinations...
MY VAMPIRE DIARIES DR (contains blood and death)
DISCLAIMER: I have only seen a little less than one season of The Vampire Diaries, so it's safe to say I have very little experience with the TVD universe
My name is Astra Salvatore and I am the youngest of the Salvatore family. I recently moved back to Mystic Falls with my brothers Stefan and Damon (I know this is a very cliche backstory, but hey, I've only seen about sixteen episodes of this show. Sue me.)
I am, as you can probably guess, a vampire. But! I'm scripting that we don't need blood to survive and that we have no trouble not m*rdering people to get blood. I come here to have FUN not to be involved in CRIME.
Because I LOVE the drama and attention, I'm scripting that I'm also a witch. Magic comes very easily and I'm capable of picking up the most complex of spells at a moment's notice.
Also! I cannot lose my daylight ring. Ever. It's basically glued to me.
And, lastly, no one ever finds out we're vampires. Except, of course, Elena and all the people that "need" to for the sake of the plot.
Onto the good stuff! Family, love interest, friends, etc.
So Damon is kinda in his Emo Phase right now and he's just a dick in general. He misses "the old days" and can't cope with the fact that time is passing and he can't do anything about it. We used to be close back in the day but as he grew more emo he kinda became super hostile towards me.
I'm closer with Stefan at the beginning because he's acting sensibly and whatnot
I go to Mystic Falls High School with Stefan, and my first day of school (when I plan to shift to) is when I meet my love interest (drum roll please) Jeremy Gilbert!
Yeah. I'm weak in the knees for little Gilbert. Sue me.
He's assigned to basically give me a tour around the school and "welcome me" to the school (also cliche but I don't care anymore lol) and he basically ditches me from the first moment to go get high or some shit.
I end up confronting him later for being a shitty tour guide, which is sort of hilarious
We end up in a lot of classes together and sort of become study buddies - mostly because I'm a genius and he can barely keep track of a pen for more than a day
Elena loves me because I actually get Jeremy to study and do his homework and pay attention in class - Aunt Jenna loves me too of course
I know Bonnie's grandma, so Bonnie and I become friends too. I help her with spells and learning about her abilities.
I planned a little Enemies to Friends to Lovers with Jeremy, of course. I'm a sucker for that.
Eventually my secret gets revealed to him when we get attacked by another vampire, whom I have to fight off. I later tell him I can make him forget if he'd like, but he turns it down, with some stupid thing like "Why would I want to forget my chemistry tutor is a f-cking vampire?" or some stupid line that makes my brain go fizzy.
Yeah, that's pretty much it! Just some vampiring, studying, and some romance thrown in there for funzies. I'm so excited to get to this DR omg I CANNOT WAIT to walk around the Salvatore House in person.
I hope this gives some of you ideas for your own TVD script! Happy shifting my beautiful beautiful stars.
With love, Astra <3

Hi again! You're a fan of Ironwood, yes? Do you agree with the direction CRWBY had taken him on in the show? What made you so interested in IW in the first place, and how would you have him grow beyond the Atlesian mindset that had him stagnant in the show, in your fic? I'm worried about the allusions you gave him and Chang, as at the end of that story, both the ballerina and the soldier both died, even if they are together in death. Will you give them a kinder ending? Are there any romance You're planning in this fic, and how much are you going to show it? I don't mind romance, as long as it's done well.
Yeah, I am a huge fan of Ironwood, and I honestly think the direction CRWBY went with him in the show was great. Part of the appeal for me of him is that he’s a character who could have done the right thing, but he ended up screwing himself over because of his extreme loyalty to Atlas and all of its ideals. In many ways, I feel like he exemplifies a lot of what we see of Atlas (tho I am a firm believer that he’s not racist), and that culture of repression, celebration of military strength, and the general valuing of the kingdom over its common people is what doomed him. Then I got even more into him when I was running a RWBY based TTRPG that was set in Atlas, with him being a major player there (and that’s also what Chae-Yeong was originally made for!). He’s a tragedy, and I love that about him, even if I do like to sometimes think about what would have happened if he had managed to overcome his own ego and ask for help
also i think he’s attractive
The rest will go under the cut bcs I love talking lol
But that then also leads some to the differences that will come in OCIN from his show counterpart. I think that part of why he’s Like That is because he’s so deeply emeshed in Atlas and it’s culture, so going to Beacon rather than Atlas starts putting him down a different path. There’s also the factor of time-- since he’s only 17 when the story starts, he hasn’t had nearly enough time to get stuck in his ways in the same way his canon version is. And then there’s also the major factor that is him not being the leader of OCIN. I know it’s not canon, but imo there was no way he wasn’t his team leader back when he was a student at Atlas, so him not being team leader here puts him in a different direction. He doesn’t have authority, and instead has to learn to operate in more of a support role than as the hero rushing in and saving the day. And based on what we see of him in the show, him working in a support role is when he helps people on a broad scale the most
And yeah, the Steadfast Tin Soldier doesn’t have the happiest ending lol. Not to worry for this story though-- those allusions definitely are more accurate for how I invision them in the canon timeline. I think that when Ironwood goes down with Atlas, Chae-Yeong would too. Like the Tin Soldier and the Paper Ballerina, they both die, but they do it together there
In this, though I think their ending will be much happier. I can see them one day settling down and having a family together (tho of course not until Salem is dealt with)
And that leads into the romance question. The players in my rwby ttrpg already know, but in that I have Ironwood and Chae-Yeong as a couple, and I am deeply invested in that relationship. It will happen eventually in the age swap too, tho it won’t be appearing as a full relationship for a good while. There will also probably be some other relationships, but I generally speaking romance will not be the main priority here and like in the show, I want to make sure that everything feels naturally built up to
#asks#angstandhappiness#rwby age swap#ironwood#chae-yeong vermeil#steadfast#i care about them both very much lol
