Honestly I think the reason people seem to not understand some of the subtle story telling and complexity of rwby is that people look at it and see a kids show because its animated and colorful and they expect the show to explicitly tell them what is happening and what is good and bad and when the show is deeper than that when it wants you to think a little bit about what you're being told when the characters make choices that aren't immediately condemned or praised for being right or wrong they say it's a bad show

Its not. It's not perfect nothing is perfect and it's had its stumbles but it's story has always been one that makes you look deeper than what the characters are saying and people don't want to do that
