family is complicated, and siblings do have rocky relationships but i think jason would let go. i hope this makes sense. i do think he would get along w damian just bc of their shared Al Ghul background??

you also have to take into account how the others view jason. cass is strict on no killing (the one comic where she yells @ kate for killing!!) and… i cant say tim has a “strict” no kill rule bc those league buildings he bombed def had some people in there BUT JASONS ANTICS ? i dont think many of the bats would put up w it

BALDUR'S GATE CHARACTERS WHO I WILL BEGRUDGINGLY ALLOW TO HAVE ABS:

Lae'zel - she's strong and lean so her abs are visible mostly due to her having very little body fat. Still aren't really obvious unless she is actively working out/flexing. Arms, legs, and back are insanely shredded. One of those tiny twiggy-looking people who can somehow bench press a cow.

Wyll - yes he's got 8 str but abs are not an indicator of strength so much as an indicator of a very specific type of workout that is more for aesthetic than function. Wyll has the vibes of someone who works out to maintain a specific look as well as a degree of general fitness. You'd likely only see his abs if he's flexing/for his instagram thirst traps. He is like a fancy bird to me.

i am sorry but Keith is white or atleast incredibly white coded in canon and it goes into how he and Pidge are treated vs how canon characters of colour are treated in the show. The name "Kogane" comes from previous iteration and is not canon and he is commonly hc'ed as Korean because of his va (which is not an evidence because otherwise Shiro would have been latino and Lance and Hunk would have been white). Why is this important? Because Keith and his arc is given way more importance and was treated way better compared to characters like Allura, Shiro, Lance, Hunk who were through out the show consistently humilated, bashed, sidelined, and used as angst fuel for Keith to shine. And that goes both in the show and the fandom.

Look hc whatever you want but stop calling people gross for calling him white especially when 1) there is no evidence for Keith's heritage beyond being half galra (which in the show are a colonizing empire and heavily white supremist coded) 2) a lot of people calling him white ARE Poc who are frustrated with blantant white favoritism in show and in fandom when it comes to Keith because lbr despite being hc'ed as Korean not much thought is actually put in this hc given even the surname Kogane is japanese in origin and yet still used to prove that he is korean and is only used as an aesthetic choice. And no that galra racism arc is not an evidence either. The so called racism arc was a black coded genocide survivor not trusting the people who destroyed her planet, and said species have been colonizing and destroying the entire universe for 10000 years i do not need to explain why it was problematic.

yeah i did not walk into this situation with any sort of preparation or knowledge. i watched voltron like, one time, and from what i had read in the handbooks and comics and stuff that i had known to be canon, he was korean, and so i always just assumed everyone knew that and that was how things worked. he def was treated the same as the non poc characters, and the show treated the poc characters like shit often to his benefit. you're right. and the reverse racism garbage w the galran background WAS weird and bad.

s1e1 the rise of voltron (pt 1) liveblog

inexplicably, i've been thinking a lot abt voltron lately and suffice to say, I Am Not Immune to Voltron U_U i'm rewatching the series again and i thought it would be fun to document my thoughts and rxns! so, *ryan bergara voice* w/o further ado, let's get into this

the show opens on shiro (and the rest of the kerberos crew)! i can’t believe the opening lines to one of the most infamous cartoons of all time was smth as boring as ice AGSJDL but wow this escalates pretty quickly

interesting how lance’s introduction is him acting as the trio’s leader during the mission simulation - obv the simulation was a bust, but it’s cool that our first glimpse at the character was him trying to keep the team functioning together under a high pressure situation (which he will go on to do again and again!) and it’s interesting how he ‘fails’ in this leadership role here, and then fails in becoming the black lion's pilot in s3 as well. hmmmm

also the fact the kerberos mission had a trio too, are the garrison trio supposed to parallel that? lance - shiro are the pilot leaders obv, pidge - matt are the comm guys? hunk - sam are the engineers? or maybe the other way around

overall, i rlly love the garrison simulation, it’s such a great scene in introducing 3 more main characters and setting up another one, and then digging into what makes 2 of them tick . . . that’s good writing! trying to savor it while it lasts lol

lance and hunk go try to get pidge sneak out with them! i like how hunk doesn’t want to be doing this, but he’s not going to let lance do this alone lol (he’s a support)! and lance places such a big emphasis on team cohesion and bonding, yup!!! he keeps the team together! that is his role as a supporting leg! they’re both the supporting legs!!!

lance is so good at reading people, love how smoothly he slid into that “that right? all the way to kerberos?” line. he’s observant and great at picking up social nuances i lov my social butterfly

hiiiii iris my honey, here are my thoughts.

i think pidge for my sun sign (most prominent characteristics) because she’s inquisitive, deeply caring, sarcastic, and has a lot to learn as she’s very young, sheltered and definitely stubborn in her deeply-held convictions. i can relate to her feelings of betrayal or anger and frustration when things don’t go her way and in many ways need to mature in areas similar to hers, such as understanding different perspectives.

i’ve decided on keith for my moon sign (emotions, feelings, desires) because he’s introspective and aware of his emotions but often keeps them in. he always wants to do things for others and i can relate to feeling like i’m not supposed to live for myself and won’t be able to have meaningful relationships and learning that i need to hold onto what makes me happy, which includes relationships.

lastly, my rising (social personality) is hunk because he’s warm, he tries to connect with people and cheers them on for everything. he can be apprehensive to seemingly uncomfortable situations but is often surprisingly adept, curious, and comfortable.

Oliver was a massive staple of my Vocaloid art all throughout high school, so if I draw more you'll def see him pop up again Though if I get the motivation, I wanna draw Ausgris next. Don't like the new Ausgris’ new design as much as the old one, they took away their hat 

Drawing Oliver again was weird cause some of that old muscle memory and shortcuts were trying to resurface all throughout the drawing process.

Oliver is/was a total comfort character, and I miss drawing all my fav Vocaloid mascots honestly. Also he has almost identical hair to Pidge from VLD, down to the way it's structured over his ears, thought that was fun

And Piko’s been discontinued. Sad times, I really enjoy his tone, and he’s got a good range

most popular multi chapter story: woahhhh, huge throwback to my unfinished Korrasami modern AU ‘ All of This is Naga's Fault.’ I had a great ending planned for that that I’ve almost completely forgotten all of the intertwining plot threads to! I never even got to write the scene that inspired the whole deal. Damn. I’ll have to go back to that some day

favorite story you’ve written: ah man, maybe my little Pidge Voltron oneshot (Strength of the Small) but probably my obscure as fuck Trimberly Pacific Rim AU. I’ve just gotten to do so much with the Drift and push myself writing scenes with very little solid ground to stand on in terms of imagery - that one has really exercised my creative lil brain cells. 

story you were nervous to post: mmm probably the Critical Role Beauyasha explicit fics. I was like *kicks down the door to a brand new fandom * here I am nerds, have some really really descriptive sex

how do you choose titles: kinda tricky, sometimes snippets of famous quotes, other times a bit of dialogue (I write entire fics based purely around a single line of dialogue, that’s seriously how I start and get inspired for all of my fics), but ALWAYS with that sweet sweet all lowercase aesthetic. I’m a slut for that 100% of the time

do you outline: in my head a bit, and moreso with the Trimberly pacific rim AU than any other fic just because that one has actual plot, like wtf is that who knows, but especially with smut fics I just let the characters run wild. I don’t plan any of that.

how many of your stories are complete? i should never be allowed to write multi chap fics; it’s shameful. Trimberly is def going to be finished soon, the others --- no promises. 

how many of your stories are in progress?  Just the Trimberly one, the other unfinished multi-chaps will unfortunately stay in retirement unless I get some divine inspiration (and maybe once i graduate, i have zero time right now)

I can now appreciate the SLAOS FMA AUs much more dkdbkdbd bro I adore them both and now I’m thinking about what could even drive Lance to use alchemy after the thing with Lorine if he ever does, and if he’d figure out the truth abt human transmutation like Ed did. Or like, how often does Greed!Lance die of stupid shit like eating a tide pod just to figure out how it tastes and how many lives?? Does he have left?? Bro I haven’t even thought about Voltron outside of SLAOS in forever.

Oh god the SLAOS FMA aus. Those flash into my mind now and again like “hey remember how Can Opener Greed Lance is Canon in some far off Fic universe thanks to you”.

In regards to your queries:

A. I wish I knew?? I was so into that AU for a while and had so many asks saved (still do) querying for a part 2 I always meant to write but never got around to bc life, depression, and Voltron being a hot load of shit. I think Lance def uses alchemy at some point in the future in some kind of (someone else’s) life or death scenario. Maybe Pidge? Always wanted to explore his dynamic with Pidge in this AU. I enjoyed them.

B. Because I am always prepared to talk GreedLance: He has killed himself doing stupid shit so often. So. Often. He and Igraine and Karen probably have like a betting pool/tally competition on Stupidest and Most Impressive ways to die.

But yeah not thinking about Voltron outside of SLAOS? a Mood. I’m constantly like “fuck voltron I hate it never touching it again” but then look at SLAOS and kind of nervous tap dance like “not you though I love you. I’ll finish you one day”
