I am just realizing that Meteora literally went on a rampage and essentially killed pretty much everyone because she wanted the throne, and if not for the whole thing with Moon and Mina happening, she would have ended up getting what she wanted.
Yet another reason for me to feel like they really didn’t think through the whole thing of Star giving Eclipsa back the Wand and throne, outside of being determined to give Eclipsa and her Monster family a happy ending.

Songfell anniversary post, pt 3
Tumblr media
Last installment of pics I grabbed from posts off this Tumblr since I started it four years ago. I have been unbelievably spoiled by every single one of you, and if I didn't put something here, it was out of my negligence, not any fault of yours.
Please note that @venelona has done multiple amazing schmoopy poses of these two, and I will be putting them in loose chronological order with the rest. Wheee
(Part 1, Part 2)
...Okay, it turns out most of these are not specific. Here are the more chronologically oriented arts, starting with:
Tumblr media
This is pretty iconic, by @nascent-chaos. Have you ever heard the expression "You've caught a wolf by the ears" or "a bear by the tail"? It means the second you get out of a stalemate, you're gonna get eaten. Not applicable here, nope nope
Tumblr media
Her very first clear memory from the box ;_; by @cuddlyquiche.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A couple of very early bits from Vene. I think that one is probably the most accurate depiction of their size difference, which I've had multiple artists kinda fudge for the sake of getting them in the same frame. Also he's so pleased they match, gigantic dorkburger
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Possibly my favorite from Vene ^_^
Tumblr media
Skipping way on ahead to the bubble fight by @sharkowskii. I just. Ahhh my kokoro
Tumblr media
Speaking of which DDDDDDDD: why is Vene so good at expressions
Tumblr media
Case in point: "U mad, bro?" but no, Undyne and Papyrus are the greatest bros
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And again x4. We understand the value of a tiny waifu around here, don't we, Sans?
Tumblr media
Damn straight
Tumblr media
Variation on a theme, by Sharky (the theme is "socks")
Tumblr media
Now we've got the dresses she wore for her last couple days in the Underground. There's this totally-not-bridal-ha-ha-silly-man by Catler1, grabbed off Discord because I wanted the complete set.
Tumblr media
Still wildly infatuated with this one by @melikitinas ~
Tumblr media
Shoes not made for dancing, by @feelisia
Tumblr media
And a dress made for because I wanted a pretty golden gown (thank u Vene)
Now we have the more miscellaneous pieces, though the second of these by @matchamanx is prooobably from a bit later in the story :D
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(I watched Star Versus the Forces of Evil recently, and yes, Frisk would absolutely pull the same shit as Eclipsa. Git 'im gurl)
Tumblr media
A formal portrait with a dress I keep forgetting to steal from @stacyyyep
Tumblr media
This is so soft ahjdhjf @marihem
Tumblr media
The pfp for my sorely neglected Patreon Discord server eh heh heh yeah another by @xxkoichiixx
And last of the collection is a fantastic piece by @lostmypotatoes herself, with an expression that could not more clearly say "Why, this old thing? I only wear it when I'm being an absolute goddamn queen treated exactly as I deserve" 😙
Tumblr media
Cheers, everybody. I'll have written things to post as soon as I finished writing them. Mwah mwah kisses etc.

Turqouise Hearts (Tomco Oneshot)
Mewberty is an experience that mewman magic users under the age of 16 go through, usually coming a few months after the first spell.
The person who is affected by Mewberty will shed colorful hearts, turn into a faye-fairy-butterfly mix form, gain sticky web-like substances in the palm of their hand, which can be used like a spider web, and become obsessed with people they are even mildly romantically attracted to. But with people they are already heavily attracted to, feelings will enhance dramatically, making it dangerous to see people going through this stage of life.
Mewberty usually only lasts a few hours, and from it, comes Mewberty wings.
Well, when Marco Diaz was standing in front of the bathroom mirror, holding the turquoise heart that had just fallen off of his forehead, the first statement was proven wrong.
Marco was not a mewman. But he had used one spell in the past few months. The All Seeing Eye, Eclipsa's spell, which was one of Star's favorites.
"Star!" Marco called from the bathroom. He knew Star, Tom, and Janna were downstairs watching a movie. He had been there too before going to the bathroom, where the turquoise heart in his hand had fallen off his forehead as he washed his hands.
"What?" Star responded from downstairs.
"Get up here!"
There was a sound of footsteps running up the stairs before Star entered the open door, Janna and Tom behind her, to see Marco looking down at his hand.
"What do you need?"
Marco held up the heart in his hand. "Um, this fell off my head."
Star's eyes widened, and she took the heart into her hands. "Oh. Oh no," she said, feeling the tissue-paper-like heart in her hand. "It's a Mewberty heart."
"Wait, Marco used magic? He's a mewman?" Tom asks through the doorway.
"Yes and no, I think I've said multiple times I am a human," Marco replies. "Okay, so, Mewberty, as in, crazy purple Star kidnapping multiple boys at school Mewberty?"
"Yeah," Star says. "I didn't know humans could get it, but them and mewmans are very similar so I guess it's possible. But that also means me and Janna gotta scram, you wouldn't mind staying, right Tom?"
"Um, yeah I can do that, I guess."
"Alright! You know Marco, you're gonna go girl-crazy and stuff. Bye!"
Marco waved as more hearts started falling from his face.
"Call us when it's over!" Star says before slamming the door.
"So, Tom, care to fill me in a bit? All I know is from when Star got it at school."
"Basically it prepares you for intense magic, even if you only use magic once," Tom says. "The Mewberty wings are like, butterfly transformation thing that Star does."
"Yeah but like, do I need to do anything?" Marco asks, trying to catch all the hearts falling from his face so he doesn't have to clean up as much later.
"I guess I just have to keep you away from girls and make sure you don't leave the house, your parents won't be home anytime soon, right?"
"No, they're having a couple days vacation."
"Okay," Tom says.
"For safe measures, I'm gonna go lock myself in my room so it'll take a bit more work to get out," Marco says, hearts starting to fall uncontrollably as he runs down the hallway to his room. He locks the door and looks around his room.
I wonder if being bi will affect it. And maybe having a crush on Tom? Star's bi and it didn't seem to affect her. And Star acted a bit more crazy with Oskar. Oh hell, that'll be a way to come out, locking Tom in a corner or something.
Marco thought that last part as a joke. Hopefully he wouldn't end up doing something like that. Tom didn't know. Marco's parents knew, but that was it.
He knew his friends weren't homophobic, Star had told them she was bi and Jackie was pan. But Marco was a perfectionist, and could never figure out how to tell them in the best way.
To pass a bit of time, waiting on his inevitable crazy butterfly form that Star had, he went through some pictures he'd saved on his phone.
Star had been a lot more freaked out about Mewberty than Marco was. But she had been in school, and Marco was in the safety of his house.
Suddenly he landed on a picture of him and Tom. Fuck.
Tom had his arm around Marco's shoulder, they were smiling, holding ice cream. Star was the one to take that picture, he remembered, because she wanted a picture of her Earth bestie and Underworld bestie. She'd then sent it to them both.
Then Marco couldn't see through all the turquoise rain.
His hands started feeling soft, and he dropped his phone.
Of course. On Tom's picture.
Tom was the only other person in the house. He could hear him humming on the other side of the door. He was probably doing that weird stretch thing Star hated so much too.
He felt something in his stomach. Looking down, he realized his hoodie and jeans turned turquoise, matching his now turquoise skin and hair. Just like how Star's clothes had changed.
And he felt his sides stretch, as if he were growing something out of it.
And then he fell out of control.
On the other side of the door, Tom finished his stretching. He was about to go back on his mirror when he heard pounding on the door.
Looks like it's started.
No big deal. It wasn't Tom's business until Marco managed to get out of his room.
Then he would just have to stop him from getting anywhere else.
He did not care if Marco would just fly past him and search for someone else.
He did not care that Marco wouldn't pay attention when he came out of that room.
Oh, who was he kidding? Of course he cared that Mewberty Marco would pay him no mind. Tom wanted Marco to like him. He really wanted Marco to like him.
"Hey Marco, calm down in there, you're not going anywhere," Tom said through the door, but the pounding only got louder.
And then the door, just floating there, was forced open by a turquoise version of Marco.
He had four arms, the hoodie was gone, a plain t-shirt under. His skin had faint hearts dotted every here and there, and eyes a very light version of his skin. And oh god, the wings. Big, diamond shaped, turquoise with his new eye color in the center of the wings.
And something about him looked so pretty in that moment. Tom was stunned.
Marco grabbed him by the horns and face, floating a little closer to him.
Then reality set back on Tom. Marco didn't fly past him, to his surprise. In fact, Marco was very, very focused on him.
And that made Tom blush like crazy, because, well, it was Mewberty, and during Mewberty, all you focus on are people you're interested in, even if it's just a bit.
Tom knew Marco didn't mean it, Marco didn't like him. But it meant Tom had a chance for him to like him, because if Marco was focused on a boy, that meant he liked boys. That was new.
And suddenly Marco was closing in on him, fluttering down to the ground, hands now moved to Tom's face and neck.
And Tom did the only logical thing one would do when your best friend going through Mewberty tries to kiss you- push him off.
But Marco was persistent. Shoving Tom into a corner, he used his web hands to trap him there.
"Marco! Let me out!" Tom shouted, knowing it would do nothing, and tried pushing through the sticky stuff.
Marco smiled, looking down on him.
Then he flew away.
Tom clenched his fists and tried not to blow up. Ugh, that stupid butterfly thing! He was way too smart, making Tom all flustered so he wouldn't think just so he could shove him in a corner and try and get out.
Tom was outsmarted by someone going through Mewberty. Wow, that's a new low.
He decided to burn the sticky stuff and ran downstairs to make sure he hadn't left yet. And thankfully, Marco was still tugging on a locked sliding door.
Ha, stupid.
Tom pulled him off the door. Marco turned to the boy and was fascinated by him again, feeling all over his face and horns.
"Get off me!" Tom said, lightly pushing him.
But Marco didn't listen, and flew lightly off the ground so he was at Tom's height.
"No, no you don't!" Tom shouted, giving Marco a harder shove, and with quick thinking, grabbed two plastic grocery bags off the table and tied them around Marco's hands. "Can't trap me in a corner anymore, loser. We're getting you back to your room."
Tom dragged the resisting Marco up the stairs and shoved him in his room, pressing the lock before closing it and leaning on it, keeping Marco in.
There's pounds on the door again, Tom rolling his eyes at the useless effort.
"You're not getting out this time, Diaz."
Tom didn't know how long it had been after that. All he heard was rustling and pounding on the other side of the door. It must've been an hour before the door was busted open again.
Tom didn't have the time to register what was happening before he was pinned to the ground by Marco.
"Marco!" Tom shouted, and tried to push him off. It didn't work, and so Tom kicked and pushed, trying to get Marco off without hurting him.
This went on for about a minute before a lot more hearts poured out of Marco's face.
Tom shielded his face as the hearts fell on him, and then Marco dropped onto Tom's chest unconscious.
It was a few seconds of Tom spitting out Marco's hearts when Marco let out a groan.
"Ughh, what happened?" Marco asked, rubbing his eyes and looking down at Tom.
Oh shit, Marco thought, as he realized where he was.
His eyes widened as he scooted back. He remembered a few glimpses of what had happened.
"Oh god, Tom I am so sor-"
"It's fine, Marco," Tom said. "Could've done with a heads up about you liking guys, though."
"Dude I- how are you so cool with this?"
"It's just Mewberty, no big deal."
"But I li..." Marco started, but didn't finish. He vividly remembered all the attention Star paid to Oskar, and he just did the same to Tom. But maybe Tom didn't know that part. Has he ever been around someone in Mewberty? Probably not.
"You what?"
"Never mind," Marco said.
"No, what were you gonna say?"
"It's not important," Marco said.
"Were you gonna say you liked me?" Tom asked, hopefully.
"Wha- um," Marco said, looking away. "Yeah, I-, I was."
"Really?" Tom asked.
Marco buried his face in his knees. "Yes," he whispered.
Tom crawled over to him and put a hand on his shoulder. "Hey."
Marco looked up just a little bit.
"I like you too."

Here’s my very delayed World of Winx Season 2 review
Ok so it’s been like a few weeks since I watched it so I won’t have too many complaints, I’ll just list the major ones I have.
Firstly the episodes were super boring and felt dragged out. In season 1 the side plot of finding the talents was entertaining and honestly I miss the WoW show as it was fun and Ace despite being a dick, was neat. Now there’s this Neverland bullshit which makes even less sense with Captain Hook’s mega forehead and Peter Pan actually growing up, or implied to. And the Evil Queen being Tinkerbelle feels wrong especially with the romance with Matt (Peter Pan’s son)
Now, the Nemesis. Most of them were disappointing and the worst offender was Bloom’s. I didn’t vibe with the clown aesthetic. Despite being the worst one at least her creation made sense, with the shadows stealing part of her magic to corrupt. The other Nemesis just…spawn. Otherwise Virus and Banshee were my favorites and Eclipsa was alright. I liked Stella’s backstory but it contradicts things like them being on Earth for a few months. Sinka also felt she should have come before Matt’s character growth. Speaking of Matt…
I was expecting to absolutely hate him but no Sky is still the worst by a long shot. Matt is very annoying with his “I’m know more than you” attitude when he a LOSER, but at least everyone hates him for it until he gets turned to stone. Other than that I enjoyed his character and how he’s incorporated into the Winx group like when they disguise as art enthusiasts. He’s also one of the only non-villain dudes in the series to use magic, yay! However, the fact he suddenly gets better at sword fighting by acquiring a fairy blade despite pro warrior Tiger Lily saying he sucks ass at it is just plot convenient, I instead prefer his deception and acting skills which do come back when he deceives the mermaids. Another is I wish Matt got involved in Hook’s defeat, like some on. He made a great point about trusting Hook and Hook’s the one who sent Smee to kidnap him.
The Winx are alright eh, I mean, I wasn’t invested in any of them and they don’t have any story going on, they just stole Anabelle’s dream of being performers and this hot lady named Venomya hates them, and omg just bring Ace back please. The WoW show was fun as Bloom had arguments with Ace but now she and the others have near nothing as Venomya isn’t important until the very end. Onyrix isn’t really better than Dreamix, I can’t decide which one’s worse, but yeah they get it out of nowhere, at least let the Forest Spirit gift it to them it have them earn Onyrix after defeating their Nemesis smh. I’m also not sure what Onyrix does like…what’s the point?
Anyway let’s get to the villains now, starting with Jim and Smee. He’s on the Winx’s side but for the majority of the plot he’s not involved in anything, just tells Smee to kidnap Matt twice and that’s about it. He could have done like Valtor where he directly involves himself but nooooo, forget the Switzerland stuff, he’ll not do anything until the end. Smee is also a terrible comedic relief. However, I love Smee. The fact he was painted as the villain by Hook despite following his orders and was ultimately the one to take Jim down and save Neverland, MUAH, perfect. Onto not perfect, Tinkerbelle. So her whole motive was Peter Pan liked Wendy instead of her and now she mad I guess, then she falls in love with Matt and suddenly she’s…good..now? I mean, yeah that’s, Winx should just stick to one-dimensional villains. Not to mention her youtuber ass “I have made a severe and continuous lapse in judgement” ass apology, like I like that she acknowledges she treated the Neverland people horribly but don’t add “please forgive me” at the end it really shows her priorities. Another villain I like is Shaman. He’s the Shaman! He sounds like if Jack Black stuffed himself with brownies and got sleepy! Him being by Tinkerbelle’s side after she got weakened and even trying to save her and talking some sense in Tiger Lily made me wish he ended with Tinkerbelle instead of Matt.
And yeah the fact Tinkerbelle ends up with Matt, aka Peter Pan’s son, when her whole motive for being evil is Peter Pan didn’t love her………need I saw more? It’s just wrong. She should make out with the Shaman.
Anyway onto some other characters. I loved the zombie pirates in their spotlight episode but they went back to being evil kinda and don’t correct their mistake like Tiger Lily, so rip I enjoyed them a lot, and I miss the wizards. The sirens were annoying as FUCK. I only like their human designs augh. Alligator man was eh alright? He looks more like a crocodile and Crocodile man looks like an alligator. I wish they’d talk even if it was a Knut impression, it’d make their significance more meaningful.
And lastly, the plot twist in the final episode where Venomya’s a witch, Baba Yaga and got an old ashy granny design. God, the whiplash I got, I was so upset because the best part, aka her design, was not just an illusion Mrs Baba Yaga used. Bruuuh 😭. The idea of Witches being rivals with fairies is interesting but eh I don’t think we’re getting a season 3 anytime soon so yeah. Maybe they’d have introduced the Trix so maybe that was a bullet we dodged? The Trix are so overused. Anyways the ending was alright but that cliffhanger and Venomya being a granny ruined it.
That’s all I have to say. I’m getting a wicked headache and I’ll see you guys on the flipside.

XD Ok, since I'm clearly in a Halloween mood and the last one seemed to do well, here's another Halloweeny one with my favorite 3 Addams-esque ladies: Eclipsa, Ericka, and Lucy Wilde!
Despite being the smallest of the 3, Eclipsa is of course a perfect Morticia, and like @black-ak9 I definitely see Ericka as a Debbie. This leaves Lucy Wilde as Margaret Alford/Addams!

SvtFoE Rhombulus Rewrite (Pt. 6)
Tumblr media
Hey, it’s been a while since you saw my face-
All jokes aside, sorry for being gone for so long. In my defense, I was in college, then I had seasonal depression which made it hard to do much of anything creative-wise. This is admittedly one of my favorite fan projects, so I always feel bad about not updating it. But I have managed to get back into it again (finally) and wanted to release one of the easier parts to do. (@bawfulio @sagesilentfire tagging you since you guys have been following this AU since the beginning and have been waiting the longest for an update)
Anyways, Monsters and Mewmans, Crystals and Chimeras, welcome back to my Rhombulus Rewrite! Check out this post if you have no clue what the heck I’m talking about or you want to read the previous parts. As I said in Part 4, this part will be one of the two possible ends I have to this AU. Ya’ll can choose which one you prefer. This one is called the “Closest to Canon Ending” and is also sad. It will not focus on the problems with the ending as a whole and shall instead be more about fixing Rhombulus’ part. I’ll admit, though I prefer the second ending as a finale, I’m pretty proud of this one as well, as it has some stuff I’m pretty proud of writing wise. I did make myself sad though, so there’s that.
Closest to Canon Ending (AKA Ending 1):
- This ending is kinda if I switched Rhombulus and Hekapoo’s parts, but Rhombulus had a more proper and fitting redemption. Also, it might make some character choices make more sense.
- So, the first big changes happen in “Ready, Aim, Fire”. We overhear Rhombulus arguing with Hekapoo and Omni about how to handle the Mina situation, saying that even though they may not like it, they need to protect Eclipsa and her family since it’s the right thing to do and they can’t let Mina take over.
- This is when Hekapoo reveals that they have been backing Mina the whole time, which horrifies Rhombulus. He says that he is disappointed in them, and will go out to support Eclipsa and co, even if he has to fight Hekapoo and Omni. He then runs outside.
- We don’t see what happened to Rhombulus until “The Right Way,” where he jumps into the battle as things are looking dire. We get some pretty cool action stuff from him, which should be fun.
- He even helps out various monsters, using his crystals to protect them. It brings his arc full circle, showing him go from someone who fights monsters to someone who protects them like he would protect any other innocent civilian. It’s a good moment for him.
- But unfortunately, Rhombulus gets seriously hurt by the Solarian Blade multiple times, and since he and the rest of the MHC are basically monsters, the blades actually work on them. I think it’ll be the most shocking (and plot convenient) if Rhombulus loses his tails, as they are his main weapons and method of self defense.
- He’ll manage to play it off like he is fine, but will need help soon. Maybe he’ll convince them that he probably won’t die. He might not even realize the blades work so well on him, especially since his magic is making him more asymptomatic. He’s good at hiding how bad he is doing, mainly because he is still able to walk and run and other stuff. But he can’t fight and needs to sit down a lot, so he won’t be able to do much during the Moon reveal.
- Instead of that horrible first kiss scene between Star and Marco, I have decided to give them a platonic love scene in a way, since I want the ending to not seem too random but still keep things platonic.
- Star is clearly upset and overwhelmed by everything, even though she might not be able to express it properly. She eventually tensely says that she’s going to do [insert helpful yet distracting task], and Marco offers to help her. She agrees, and while they’re working, Marco says that he knows something is bothering her, and she can talk about it if she wants.
- Star confesses that she’s been feeling extremely alone and scared lately. Multiple of her friends are severely hurt and could easily die, and she can’t do anything about it. She fought so hard and is trying to stay strong, and even despite all that, she feels like she’s failed at keeping people safe.
- Marco says that she is the reason less people have been hurt, and that everyone chose to fight and stand up against Mina, knowing the risk they would be in. It’s not her fault this happened. He then assures her that no matter what, they will always be best friends, and he’ll be there for her no matter what.
- Pretend we’ve also had a lot more great friendship moments between them this season, so that the show clearly shows their dynamic as important to the plot.
- Anyways, back to everything else. This rewrite is called the Rhombulus Rewrite after all.
- “Pizza Party” will be renamed “Where the Blame Lies,” and instead of the MHC having a pizza party, we will see Hekapoo and Omni arguing over whether or not they made the right choice, and if they should go after Rhombulus. It’s a very short, tense scene, where Hekapoo believes that Rhombulus is wrong, but they should still go look for him to talk, and Omni believes that Rhombulus is “too far gone.”
- They decide to split up, with Hekapoo choosing to go after Rhombulus, and Omni choosing to do his own thing.
- Meanwhile, Rhombulus ends up fleeing with Star and co, pretending that he is fine, until he ends up collapsing while they are running. Mina declares Rhombulus a traitor, and attacks him, causing yet another major blow to his body, where many of the other scars have already spread far.
- As Eclipsa and Marco help him up and try to support him, Mina declares her plan to wipe out all monsters and monster-supporters. The group tries to escape, but are soon surrounded. Mina goes in for the kill, but a portal opens up under Star, Marco, Eclipsa, Moon, and Rhombulus, whisking them away. They find themselves in the middle of a forest, saved by Hekapoo.
- This is where “Tavern at the End of the Multiverse” starts. Hekapoo is horrified at Rhombulus’ condition, and after picking him up, she says that she knows a place where all of them can hide. And so she takes them to the Tavern at the End of the Multiverse. This space is also a bit of a safe zone for all different types of people, and has some private rooms if needed.
- Hekapoo takes Rhombulus into one of them to see if she can help him somehow. Star argues with Moon, but they are interrupted by Hekapoo, who says that she needs them to come over to where Rhombulus is. He’s in terrible condition, with the wounds having fully spread all over him.
- It’s a really sad scene, especially when he begins telling Hekapoo that he can see Lekmet, and they are going to be reunited soon. Hekapoo is extremely distraught and basically in denial, while Rhombulus is basically accepting what is happening.
- He tells Hekapoo not to worry too much about it, and that their time is close to ending anyways, he just wishes he could have seen everyone win. He tells Star to do better than those who came before her, and that she will be able to fix the world. Then, my boy dies.
- While I still don’t like the whole “destroy all magic” plotline, I thought that something like this would be cool in helping explain the rationale for a few characters. In Star’s case, this is a bit of a breaking point for her. This is where she begins to have her “I hate magic” moment, because she just lost a close friend due to the damage magic can cause when in the wrong hands.
- And Hekapoo being chill with Star destroying magic makes a lot more sense. She too just lost someone important to her, basically her favorite sibling, and is in a more apathetic state. Hekapoo is mad and sees that the MHC has fallen down a bad path that has slowly destroyed them. Her attitude is less chill and carefree and more angry and resentful.
For Ending 1, I don’t really have any other changes, because all I really wanted to do for this ending is the scene where Rhombulus dies, so that’s the end of that. I think Ending 2 will be a much better ending as a whole, but I thought of Ending 1 first, and kind of liked aspects of it. It’s very bittersweet, and I wanted to make a version that stays faithful to the OG.
However, the OG is also terrible, so I decided to make another version anyways, especially since I wanted a version where Rhombulus can live. Stay tuned for Ending 2, which will hopefully be coming soon! Or at least, a special post before that giving extra context for Ending 2 (spoilers, I reworked Mina a bit).
Thanks for all your support, and I hope you like what I have in store, since I’ve been working on Ending 2 for a while now. Hopefully this will keep you company in the meantime.

Happy Halloween!!! Had to celebrate the occasion cosplaying the queen of darkness herself, Eclipsa Butterfly! Eclipsa has always been a favorite of mine so I was super excited to do this first shoot as her. I’m pretty thrilled with how it stood out with the setup even if I was in a mad rush to get to the shoot and change into cosplay. (I’ll get into that later there’s a pretty funny story I have from that) Still I’m honestly pretty happy I got to be my fave badass queen and live like one too.

SVTFOE headcanon lore
Hello everyone. I have a TON of SVTFOE headcanon lore. Which is basically all the lore about SVTFOE that I made up. Should I start writing a doc with all the lore? And then, should I just like, post it? Because I have way too much lore in my head to keep up with. And some of these headcanons are:
1: Solaria has always had suspension of disbelief when it came to the Spider Bite's because the Spider Bite's don't like her at all but clearly, Solaria can't read the room.
2: Duchess Recluza hates Eclipsa and Solaria. And the somewhat like, nemesis relationship that Recluza and Eclipsa have are kind of like Rob and Gumball's nemesis relationship. Just think of it from that point of view.
3: After Jushtin quitted helping Solaria in the diplomatic mission (read my eighth most recent post to know about that), they had a more or less passive aggressive sibling bond. But like at the same time, Jushtin just hates Solaria, and he is actually the reason why the rest of the Spider Bite's hate Solaria as well.
4: In the afterlife, Crescenta and Jushtin would always cuss each other out. Because Crescenta liked to believe that she was the youngest to have ever hold the royal magic wand, since she first held it when she was at least 11 or 12. Even though, that is not true. Since, if you read The Book of Spells, you can clearly see that in Skywynne's chapter, she stated that from time to time, she would let Jushtin hold the wand. Which from my understanding, he first held the wand when he was at the most, 2 years old.
5: The Magical High Commission were the ones to give Crescenta the wand. And then they lied to Dirhhennia, saying that Festivia gave Crescenta the wand. Even though Festivia doesn't do favorite's and she really wanted to see Dirhhennia become the heir.
6: Solaria was actually an accident. Yeah, that's all I gotta say for that one.
So yeah, those are some of my headcanon's. Do you guys want to see more of my headcanon's? Also, make sure to credit me if you're going to use these headcanon's.

I think the in-universe explenation for Meteora’s new look is that Maybe the „rebirth” spell doesn’t take you in time a hundred percent. Maybe your whole body just „rebuilds” itself in a way. Because of that, some genes might change aka why Meteora looks slightly altered. I don’t know….the show probably just changed her design because they liked her that way more, sorry if i didn’t explain it correctly.
Also, I’m curious, who was your favorite SVTFOE character? Mine was Eclipsa. She was one of the characters that got *less* screwed over (still wish they kept her more morally ambiguos/ morally grey like in the first seasons but oh well, it just made her more interesting).
No I get what you mean. Though honestly I can’t really think of a better explanation than the creators just liking this new design
It’s been some years since I watched the show, but I remember Globgor being a favorite, and that I used to rewatch the Cornonation episode a lot. I actually did that this morning I believe, since Star Vs was on my mind and it’s only one episode. It also reminded me that Star and Tom were actually pretty good together at this point (before the writers decided to end their relationship in the next episode for whatever reason), as well as Tom and Marco. They should have just been a throuple, I’m telling you
But going back to Globgor, yeah he’s a favorite. I love how he’s literally just like, a nice guy, and there’s nothing evil about him whatsoever. I vaguely remember when the episode he first properly debuted in came out, and we all got to see what he was really like, and I recall people being shocked that he was genuinely just a nice dude. As well as his voice. I really wish he had gotten more screen time, but oh well. At least there’s fanart of him and being cute with his wife

Ignore the last ask because going through your blog answered my question. If Star was a male character you would give her a pass for all the things she did. Just say you hate flawed female characters. Because Marco could make all the same mistakes and you would praise him and call it character development. The Disney fandom has not changed I am glad I fell out of it because good lord the hatred for flawed female characters is high with this one. If Star had been a teenage boy named star you wouldn’t be hating on him as much just saying. I can’t believe I used to like you. fuck you prick I hope you live long and suffer as you deserve.
Tumblr media
Ok, now you're just being unnecessarily mean about this and jumping to conclusions.
I dont think you read my blog at all, because marco used to be my second favorite star vs character...
Until s3 and 4 happened, then I wasn't enjoying him much at all.
Episodes like Stump Day really frustrate me regarding marco especially. Marco treating star and tom poorly in that episode, nearly getting everyone killed, and then not having to apologize for anything is ungodly frustrating.
Like I just said recently marco AND star were written poorly down the line, not just star.
And I also very clearly praised eclipsa as being a good flawed character alongside Tom, so I do not know how you're coming to the conclusions you are.
You need flawed characters who make mistakes, but remain likable. Its a balance and it just wasn't there down the line.
Had tom went against everything his own character stood for and went back to being terrible to star and marco, I'd have been just as angry.

I don’t remember the name of the person who made it, but one of my favorite AUs from back when SVTFOE was really big on this site, was this AU where both Festivia and Meteora were Eclipsa and Globgor’s daughters, and they were actually twins. And overall it seemed to be a much happier story for everyone.
And I do remember it was confirmed that Star and Moon do still exist and are still related to Festivia, but here there’s no cover up because they are actually legitimate descendants of Eclipsa.

You know what's a big shame about Star vs the forces of evil?
Tumblr media
There were actually a lot of really good messages being talked about in this series, and it's unfortunate that nobody ever brings them up.
I know it's mostly been associated with how much of a letdown its finale and management of the constant shipping and switching was, but... There were a lot of other things that were really good and well-handled in this series
I like how in the season 1 finale Star loses half of her wand and needs to re-learn how to control her powers, in fact, every season basically ends with her losing something and having to learn how to deal with it.
She loses her magic, her mom, her home, her best friend, her throne... She's always dealing with the consequences of the challenges she faces and the choices she makes, and that's very important to note cause the entire premise of episode one is her needing to learn responsibility and about the weight her power holds.
Tumblr media
I also like how Star seems to form actual friendships with her cast of characters. In many series the main lead will just bond with a character in one episode and then we will only see them again in the background until the finale when we need everyone to come together for some big epic battle or something... But here, she's constantly hanging out with Buff Frog, Janna, Tom, Eclipsa, her parents, and the members of the magic council.
And a lot of these friendships start off so weird that it makes you think they wouldn't work, but they somehow always do.
Tumblr media
There also tons of episodes with some really good lines where characters throw some concepts that I don't see often in other series, even today.
Like there is one episode where they play some weird magic version of Truth or Dare and Star mentions how the things they say aren't really lies cause sometimes people just don't know how they feel. That's such a great line!
There is another where Star tells Tom she doesn't even know what teens her age do anymore cause she's been spending so much time just working on trying to fix her kingdom for the last two or three seasons.
It's actually crazy to hear that and realize how much this girl changed from episode 1 to who she becomes in season 4. Star from episode 1 would NEVER say a line like that.
One of my favorites though is at the finale of season 1 when Star's parents just exchange a worried look and go "I don't know if we're doing the right thing." once they let Star go after losing half her wand. It sets a nice tone of "Where are we going with this...?" that carries through the rest of the show.
Tumblr media
The show also tries to subvert a lot of old tired tropes by throwing some very interesting ideas like making Star's love interests become actual friends early in the story, have the weird bird bad guy from season 1 go through a self-discovery journey where he has to start from scratch after losing everything, and while they do pair up Star and Marco in the end in a very underwhelming way, I like how both of them go through their own series of love interests before arriving there.
It wasn't just "Oh, he/she is the one!" They actually try out things with other people before realizing what they really want.
Tumblr media
And a lot of the plot twists are legit fascinating.
The story behind Meteora is my favorite part of the entire show. Again, they take this joke villain from season 1 and turn it into this massive conspiracy where the people in charge strip a mother from her child in order to keep the power in the hands of those they want.
I don't even know what might go through a kid's head while watching this.
There also lots of other cool twists like Toffe's plan to end magic, the identity of Eclipsa's husband, the meaning behind Star's butterfly form and how they handle it by just allowing it to run free and observe where it goes.
I don't know, this show just had a ton of fun ideas, and they handled them, most of the time, in fun ways.
A lot of other times they were handled in super clunky ways, yes, and sometimes the build-up to certain events could be way too slow, the shipping teasing got annoying after a while, and some resolutions were a tad anti-climatic...
There definitely are a lot of problems in Star vs. Foe, but at times it feels like when people talk about it, they treat it like there's nothing good, like they wish this never existed, like the Marco and Star endgame is the only thing worth talking about and... no there are tons of things worth talking about in here.
Tumblr media
It had low lows, but also some really good highs, and I'm glad I saw it and glad it existed.

Toffee character analysis
Showing vs telling
You've maybe noticed that Toffee is one of my favorite characters in svfoe but if you're not following me on twitter you probably haven't seen my hot takes on how he's a sliver of excellence in a show that consistently fails itself. Recently I decided to do a little analysis comparing what we’re told about him as a whole as opposed his actual on screen actions
I love svfoe, I swear, I just enjoy tearing it to shreds from time to time
A big part of Toffee's appeal to me is how little the show actually told us about him, it leaves me plenty of room to dive in and figure him out for my own purposes. We aren't left with absolutely nothing to work with due to extended materials and AMAs dipping a little into his backstory here and there so there's a little structure to use as guidelines.
But the thing is, Svfoe has a pretty noticeable problem with telling vs showing which amounts to many of the problems that I have with the series and why I enjoy ripping it apart occasionally. This telling vs showing problem usually presents itself traditionally with things being told to the audience instead of shown ex: practically every episode has Star declaring Marco is her best friend, but very rarely was it just shown without an accompanying verbal declaration (pssst this pattern continues with their 'love' too which is why I couldn't get behind Starco, but I won't get into that here). With Toffee it's a little different, because the problem is that what we're told about him in the extended materials doesn't actually reflect what we're shown about him on screen in the series proper.
Let's start with those extended materials and AMAs; aka what we're told about Toffee.
It's not much.
Septarians as a species are described as long lived creatures who hold the grudges of their forefathers as if they are their own. I suppose this is trying say that they hold grudges and it's bad that they can't let things go but actually there's a lot of cultures in both reality and fiction that are honor based societies so this actually makes a lot of sense to me.
The Magic Book of Spells introduces a book exclusive character, a Septarian named Seth, who is described by multiple queens as hostile, an advocate for Genocide against Mewmans and Septarian supremacy. As bad as this sounds, I'm going to go out on a limb and postulate that since we know by the end of the series that the monsters were victims and Mewmans have been in the wrong for generations, that this information may be exaggerated. Since Seth never appears in the show or other materials we only have the Book of Spells to go by and...Yeah, I don’t really trust a word most of them have to say about him to be honest.
The only narrator that we can consider reliable being Eclipsa, who got her information about from Globor, another monster who has had dealings with Seth and other Septarians in the past. Also worth noting is that Eclipsa's queenship followed her mother's and whom know Solaria was attempting active genocide against all monster kind- which was at least the second one in history since Mewman arrived...so I can't really say I think Seth and the Septarians be entirely in the wrong if they were still upset about that.
Seth is mentioned a few prominent times in the book, since this analysis is about Toffee I won't go into detail but tl;dr Seth has been personally screwed over enough times by the Butterfly family that it shouldn't be surprising at all that he didn't answer Comet's invitation to her peace banquet
As a side note: Comet herself is incredibly dismissive and insulting toward Seth in her chapter and it makes it very difficult for me to sympathize with her, or feel bad about her death- sorry, Moon.
So long story short, Seth is a big deal. It not directly said that Toffee had any sort of relationship to Seth but Comet implies in her chapter that Seth's ideals were inspiring to Septarian youths which hints that Toffee killing Comet was influenced by him if not directly ordered.
Toffee is also described as being a "Magneto like character" by the series creator, someone who "isn't wrong, but going about things the wrong way", and comments that he researched the Butterfly family like no one had before and used his powers for evil. According to the same AMA, Toffee has been learning about magic for a long time and was wearing the skulls of members of the Butterfly court that he killed. We’re also told by third party bit characters that Toffee killed Queen Comet the day she was supposed to sign the peace treaty, but Toffee himself never mentions anything about it, which I find odd, as big a deal as regicide  you’d think he’d gloat about it at least once.
All in all, what we're told about Toffee paints the picture of psychotic terrorist following in the footsteps of a genocidal maniac, who won't hesitate to kill innocent people and doesn’t care who he has to step on in order to achieve his goals.
This now brings us to the series and once again hoo boy, looking at nothing but Toffee's actions against the series as whole bearing in mind revelations from the later seasons really casts him in a different light.
The first onscreen victim of Toffee's machinations is Buff Frog, who is immediately suspicious of Toffee for...no real reason other than the plot needed him to. I've watched Fortune Cookies many times and still can't come up with a legitimate reason why Buff Frog is suspicious of Toffee right off the bat. It makes sense later (as much sense as can be expected from a kids cartoon, anyway) that Buff Frog would be threatened by and suspicious of Toffee when he has a spy drone take Buff Frog's place, but not in his introductory episode after knowing him for five seconds.
For his part, Toffee doesn't seem to have a problem with Buff Frog until Mewnipendence day. Granted, this is the first episode since his debut that Toffee actually appears so it's hard to judge what their relationship is like outside of these two appearances since Toffee orchestrates Buff Frog's dismissal in this episode. One thing we have to go on is Buff Frog's frankly a little paranoid sounding theory that Toffee full on replaced him with an electronic spy unit and will do the same to everyone.
Toffee catches him at it but shrugs it off and shows him no animosity until Buff Frog volunteers to get the wand for Ludo. Since the equipment was obviously sabotaged to make Buff Frog look bad in order to manipulate Ludo into getting rid of him, it was definitely a premeditated move on Toffee’s part, down to predicting that Buff Frog would volunteer. This all sounds pretty bad, but given the fact that Buff Frog was entirely wrong about Toffee's intentions I don't really see why it was necessary beyond Toffee just quietly getting rid of a small annoyance to him.
And I feel like I should to remind everyone that Ludo punishes his minions the same way his own abusive father probably punished him (re: sending them to their rooms taking away milkshake privileges ect), which has been completely ineffective until this point. Seeing as Toffee’s official position that he was, you know, hired and presumably being paid for is "evil efficiency expert" with the description that he whip the other monsters into shape. Set up aside, this technically is exactly what Toffee's job is to do and encouraging Ludo to fire Buff Frog is a perfectly reasonable course of action.
The next victim is Ludo himself and I actually hesitate to call him a victim, because getting kicked out of his own castle was Ludo's comeuppance for his own terrible leadership and abusive tendencies. Ludo being abused by his family does not excuse his abuse of others, and throughout Marco Grows a Beard, Toffee does very little besides direct and observe, stepping in once (and possibly more that was off screen) to offer water to one of the monsters while Ludo's orders and actions failed across the board putting all of them in jeopardy and ultimately botching their best chance at obtaining the wand. Once they returned to the castle, Toffee rightfully points out that the day's failure was on Ludo, not the other monsters and successfully turned his, uh, "army" on him with next to no effort because Ludo is in fact guilty on all charges.
Which brings me back to Buff Frog, considering how fast Buff Frog was to join forces with Star over Ludo a few episodes later...I'm going to go ahead and say that there was really no point in Toffee getting him fired. Buff Frog's loyalty swayed just like everyone else's and Toffee probably could have just waited for him to reach a breaking point and didn't, but ultimately I'm going to pin this on a poor writing decision than a lack of foresight by Toffee.
In Season one's finale,  Toffee has Marco captured and held for ransom. And...yeah I kinda feel like this doesn't count as something too horrible since Toffee’s plan holding Marco captive and even threatening him with the crystal crushing was counting on the fact the he already knew that Star wouldn't let anything happen to Marco. It's a manipulation tactic that was the most efficient way if getting what he wanted, which was not ownership of the wand but the wand's destruction. Star has other friends and Marco's parents or even her own parents that could be used against her, but Toffee targeted one that he knows for sure she will trade the wand for.
But before moving onto his actions in season 2, there's more to analyze about Toffee's behaviors during Storm the Castle. The first thing of note is that Toffee treats Marco quite well while holding him prisoner, being quite civil and offering him food, and even releasing him so Marco could take a swing at him. However, Toffee doesn't fight back in this scene merely sidesteps (I guess) and forces Marco back into his chair without restraining him again, which suggests to me that Toffee isn't the one who put him in restraints to begin with since he's clearly not worried about Marco escaping or anything of the sort.
The fact that Toffee doesn't actually fight Marco, and has not been involved any of the battles since his debut gets more interesting when we find out he was a soldier and likely has been for much of his life.
In regards to his treatment of the other monsters, we don't see Toffee really interact with any of them besides Boo-fly whom he seemed to have a decent relationship with previously. I've seen people say that he praises Boo-fly and treats him well until they kick Ludo out and suddenly treats him like dirt once he's gotten what he wants, but I'd like to point out that Boo-fly keeps trying to pamper Toffee like he would have Ludo and Toffee makes it explicitly clear that they've already discussed that he doesn't want to be treated like Ludo so I chalk this up to a breach of personal boundaries rather than an example of Toffee’s manipulative nature.
This brings us to Star and Toffee's initial encounter. Toffee at first tries to be polite to her as he was with with Marco but was immediately blasted without even finishing his greeting. Toffee's plan seems to have actually been to try to her talk first with Marco as a mere bargaining chip, and threatening to harm Marco was his back up plan. Once again, this is hinging on the fact that he knows Star would trade the wand to him for his safety.
One last thing is that in retrospect we know Toffee's endgame is the destruction of Magic and his study of the wand means he likely knows that using the Whispering Spell was his way into the Realm of Magic. The last thing we see of Toffee in Season One is him telling the other monsters "It's been a pleasure-" before the Wand self destructs, so while I'm confident that Toffee knew he could get into the realm of Magic and was dismissing his "comrades" to carrying out the rest of his mission alone, I'm pretty sure he wasn't anticipating the wand would explode and endanger everyone.
Toffee doesn’t have an active in person presence in most of Season two, the clever viewer probably noticed right away that the bones making up Ludo’s wand and can infer that the voice speaking to Ludo through it is Toffee manipulating him once again. However, if someone were to start watching season 2 without the context of season one, the manipulation element gets lost and most of Ludo’s actions are exclusively his own, meaning that once again the things that happen to Ludo are a direct consequence of his own choices. Later when Toffee possesses him and speaks with Glossaryck, Toffee confirms that there he has a goal which he has been trying to lead Ludo toward with little success, but it’s pretty unclear what that goal ultimately is.
When Moon and the Magic High Commission arrive at the Monster Temple we see a first for the series: Toffee in active combat. Upon first viewing, with no context it’s a simple show down of Good (MHC) vs Evil (Toffee) in which we the audience are supposed to root for Moon and her team and feel a sense of helpless when they lose by a great landslide. However, once the series concludes and we know that the MHC were the final villains, suddenly the situation is swapped- Toffee is suddenly a martyr who was the first to stand up against the true villains of the series.
Even Star’s own revelation that “Toffee was right” and decision to destroy magic herself falls short in comparison to Toffee’s original plan. Star- due to time constraints most likely but still a failing of the show’s final season- comes to her decision pretty suddenly with no consideration of the consequences of her actions beyond not being able to see Marco. Toffee’s plan was clearly years in the making, with plenty of time to weigh his options and consequences. And somehow, the way Toffee pulled off his plan to destroy magic did not result in the instantaneous death of all magical beings, their magic was simply slowly rendered useless, and they were put into stasis (not killed) by Toffee himself absorbing their magic.
Quick tangent Glossaryck himself is totally fine with his own death when Star meets him in the afterlife later and flat out says that stopping Toffee was ‘probably a mistake’  in later seasons. Glossaryck more or less confirms that he has been anticipating and even helping facilitate the end of magic for some time, and by saying that stopping Toffee was a mistake, he is admitting that it was his preference that Toffee be responsible- perhaps in attempt to spare us from Seasons 3 and 4.
Back on track- the Toffee situation becomes more muddy with the reveal that Toffee killed Moon’s mother; a devastating revelation for the show and the MoonToffee shippers, but ultimately something of a disappointment when all the build up leads to is two minute encounter, in which Moon, for some reason, decides not to kill Toffee with her Darkest Spell and instead just takes off his finger. I say for some reason because in the Magic Book of Spells and later in the series Moon claims she did it so that Eclipsa wouldn’t be freed for fear of her “evil”, but earlier in this same episode right after talking to Eclipsa, Moon herself said “She doesn’t seem that evil”. I feel like we missed a scene somewhere, but I digress.
Anyway the death of Moon’s mother is painted like it’s a sad thing, especially since she was about to sign a peace treaty with the monsters and this rebel Lizard just ruined every thing for everyone but there’s two things I can’t get over 1) again...Comet was really dismissive and insulting toward Seth so no wonder he wanted her dead 2) Archduke Batwin knew that one of his Generals, a Septarian nonetheless, took off with half his army and apparently decided that wasn’t anything to worry about.
Like, of course, I still feel really bad for Moon here, but REALLY?
Also, we only have Batwin’s word that Toffee was the one who did it, but Toffee himself never claims responsibility and doesn’t ever hold Comet’s murder over Moon so I can’t help wondering it this was even true. Pics or it didn’t happen.
Going back to Toffee and his actions in the present. Toffee doesn’t spend a lot of time actively possessing Ludo, as far as we see he only does so in order to communicate, first with Glossaryck and later Moon he doesn’t even come out to talk to River or Star. He communicates to Ludo through the wand, and I shake my head at Ludo for somehow being surprised that it’s Toffee talking to him, like buddy...How did you not know??? Once again, Ludo’s actions are mostly his own, we don’t know how much influence Toffee actually has over him during this point because we can’t hear what the wand is telling Ludo. Throwing the Spellbook into the fire was “All Ludo” so likewise, ‘levitato-ing’ River and all the peasants that defied him was likely all Ludo too, considering how little interest Toffee’s had in hurting anyone up to this point.
Finally we’re here at the final show down. Toffee’s endgame is still unclear to the heroes, as well as any first time viewers, but Star sets out to stop him (beep beep, this is the future calling to once again remind us that Glossaryck says this was a mistake). I can buy that Toffee is smarter than the average monster, he may even be smarter than the average Septarian, but to suggest that Toffee anticipated every move made by every character in the series and manipulated event to go perfectly to adhere to a plan that ends with Star trapped in the realm of magic with no escape is going a little far.
From observation of his previous actions and behaviors, Toffee’s probably spent weeks trying to get Ludo to do what he wants him to, but we still don’t have verbal confirmation of what that was, and be left shaking his head at Ludo’s stupidity. Star figuring out that he’s in the wands and following him in was also likely not part of his plan, but her doing so presented him with a great opportunity; a bargaining chip for his missing finger. Now, it’s never made clear whether Toffee actually needs his finger back to return to the real world or if he just wanted it. From a story telling perspective based on the rules we have seen about Septarian regeneration, there’s really no reason that Toffee would have needed his finger, seeing as he already regenerated his arm around the wand earlier, resulting in Ludo’s wand becoming embedded in his arm, if seems like this was just a matter of his pride.
But there’s no evidence that suggests that he was actually capable of bringing Star with him when he did, since he regenerated around Ludo and had to actually spit the poor birb out. How could Star have come back in that regard? Toffee was probably bluffing and straight up lying about being able to bring Star with him- leaving her behind and getting his finger back serves nicely for revenge for having his finger blasted off to begin with. Further more, once this is all done, Toffee has the perfect opportunity to kill Moon himself, but instead walks away.
Even when Moon chases and attacks him, Toffee does nothing but deflect her attacks and refused to engage her in combat, not even when she tries to cast the death spell on him again. He does react violently to Marco punching a hole in his chest, but once again with Moon all he does is incapacitate her and walk away. As far as he is concerned, they’re done.
Then Star revives herself and the show’s best story line comes to a rather disappointing end.
So in recap: what the series actually shows us of Toffee suggests that he’s a largely non violent man who uses it as a last resort and only against those who actually pose a threat to him, never on defenseless people and even when attacked first his main tactic is to disarm or incapacitate and arguably seems to go out of his way to try to hurt as few people as possible.
The people he does actually hurt are usually- with a few exceptions- guilty of some crime and even then  Toffee mostly just waits for Karma to come back and bite them in the ass while taking advantage of the opportunities presented by his tolerance for idiots.
Unlike the heroes, Toffee is consistently shown to thoroughly think things through, and attempt to talk to his enemies as his first engagement with them. To be honest, his calm and polite nature actually makes him a much better role model than the impulsive and violence prone leads who barge into situations and very often lie or cover up certain truths from their families for the sole purpose of not spoiling their own fun.
The only time Toffee was actively violent on screen was against the MHC who turned out to be villains anyway. Even during the war, Daron Nefcy claims the skulls he wears came from the Butterfly court, not soldiers or civilians, so likely corrupt government officials directly benefiting from the suffering of Monsters and lower class Mewmans. We can even argue that Comet wasn’t the saint she was originally painted as considering how she speaks of and dismisses Seth and the rightful distrust he has of her and her intentions.
Through his on screen actions, we also see that Toffee is a martyr, he might be willing to step on a few people to get where he wants to be, but not everyone is expendable to him and when it comes down to it, Toffee does the dirty work of tainting the realm of magic himself rather than sacrificing anyone else to it, most likely due to his regenerative abilities assuring that he can come back while others he can’t guarantee.
There is one scene where Toffee actually acts like the violent psychopath he’s described as; and that’s in Meteora’s Lesson, in which...He’s a moody teenager that Glossaryck deliberately provoked with the intent of 'teaching him a lesson’ by way of causing him physical harm. Yikes Glossaryck, yikes
In conclusion; Toffee is definitely one of those ‘the hero of his own story’ type of villains, and arguably a better one than the heroes we’re supposed be rooting for.
