#this song is insane.#spiritually & with tears streaming down my face I am shaking Stuart Adamson by the shoulders like 'DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU DID'#I don't know if he even ever considered this one of his best songs which is tragic because it is. hands-down.#he talked about ''Broken Heart (Thirteen Valleys)'' being his best for at least a little while after it came out#but ''Just a Shadow'' can be put up against MANY MANY MAAAAAAAAAAAAANYYYYYYYYYYYY songs and win.#and by 'win' I do mean 'win the meaningful song of all time competition' lol#sorry but I could flail about this song for years and I probably will.#and yes I do remember when I called this song musically boring. the arrangement is still not innovative imo#but lyrically it cannot be beat. I mean that so much. I would die for this song.#compared to ''In a Big Country'' or ''Wonderland'' which are songs I would undoubtedly live for?
