📚Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs 👉Physical Stage: This is going to be people in 3rd world countries, people in disaster zones, someone lost in the woods. For the most part, you probably won’t be marketing to this crowd as they have bigger problems (such as staying alive) and they probably have little to no money. 👉The Safety Stage: These are people that would be considered “poor” or “lower middle class”. They live extremely paycheck-to-paycheck and have little-to-no support structure if they get kicked out of their dwelling. 👉The Love/Belonging Stage: These are typically people in the middle class or higher. They have their basic needs met. They live in a decent place, have a decent income, have a decent savings. Typically these people are relatively educated, and have a decent amount of money to spend. This is the level a lot of middle class people in a society will be in. 👉The Esteem Stage: These are people in the upper middle-class and higher. You know someone is in the “Esteem” stage when they say stuff like “I want to DO something with my life.“ 👉The Self Actualization Stage: These are people who’ve accomplished everything they need to. Often people who’ve made their “Fuck You Money“ and no longer worry about things like income or being able to provide for their families. ❗️For 99% of human history almost no one ever reached this stage. ✍️Summary of the article published by Neville Medhora 👣Follow @Business.HandBook for daily posts👣 Evgeny Rekling #business #handbook #BusinessHandbook #Rekling #b2b #b2c #BizTip #HowTo #DIY #sales #salesperson #sales #startups #start-ups #startup #SmallBusiness #SmallBiz #SME #SMEs #SMB #maslowshierarchy #needs #newyorkcity (at NewYork Liberty Restaurant Pub)

Why I wrote the Small Business Handbook

📚5 Steps to Help You Order Wine Like an Expert Are you planning business diner? How do you feel when you’re handed the wine list at a restaurant? If you’re like most people, you feel uncomfortable. 🍷🍷Even if you’re no expert, just follow these five simple steps: 👉1. Take your time. A few seconds after handing you the biggest wine list in the world, the waiter will come over and say, “Have you made your selection?” or “Do you need help?” Just look up, smile and say, “You have such an interesting list. It’ll take me a few minutes to decide.” At this point, the waiter will think you know what you’re doing and will leave you alone. 👉2. Decide if you want red or white. So if it’s lunch, go with white. Fish restaurant? White. Steak joint? Red. This single decision cuts the wine list in half. 👉3. Does the restaurant specialize in a certain type of wine? If there are 20 Italian wines listed and five U.S. wines, the owner cares more about Italian wine. Go with it. 👉4. Look for wines you already know — and cross them off, too. Hey, if you can buy the same wine from the corner wine store for half the price, it’s not going to be much fun drinking it at a restaurant, is it? Look for something new. 👉5. Pick two or three. At this point, say to the waiter, “I can’t decide among these wines” — and, wait, the next sentence is the key. Do not say, “What would you recommend?” Sad to say, in many cases, the waiter really doesn’t have a clue and will simply choose one. ✍️Summary of article published on www.guides.wsj.com.com Follow @business.handbook for daily posts! #business #handbook #BusinessHandbook #emailmarketingtips #businessmen #orderawine #tips #tipbusiness (at South Beach, Miami)

📚5 Reasons Why Running Is the Perfect Sport for Entrepreneurs 👉1. It's cheap and easy Every bootstrap entrepreneur can appreciate something that's cost effective and doesn't make us dependent on someone else's schedule. If you own a pair of running shoes, you can be a runner. 👉2. It's energizing Cash may be the fire that keeps an enterprise alive, but the entrepreneur's personal energy is the oxygen. Without a sense of enthusiasm and passion, the founder will fail to inspire confidence in employees, investors, vendors, customers... not to mention the worried spouse. I've found that the sleep is fitful because I'm not as tired. Sometimes I find myself running just to make sure that I get a good night's sleep 👉3. It relieves stress Entrepreneurs face pressure from all directions, and the tension can be overwhelming. Running doesn't make problems disappear, but it can create rare, solitary moments to gain perspective. 👉4. It provides moments in nature Too much of life is spent in windowless, air-conditioned rooms that are disconnected from the natural world. A morning run, even if it's in the dark at 5 a.m., helps guarantee I am breathing unprocessed air and interacting with the plants and animals around me. 👉5. It teaches endurance and perseverance In addition to the obvious reminder that scaling an enterprise is a marathon, not a sprint, distance training helps develop the physical stamina required to handle the long hours and travel demands of an entrepreneur. 👍Of course, running isn't for everyone. Some people don't have the ability, the knees, or the fitness levels to run every day, and over the past few years I've taken to biking and swimming a few times a week to give my running muscles a rest. ✍️Summary of article published on www.inc.com Evgeny Rekling #business #handbook #BusinessHandbook #Rekling #sport #runing #entapreneur #entepreneur #entepreneurtips (at Boston Marathon)

📚The 5 Phases of a Project 👉Project Initiation Phase – a project is formally started, named and defined at a broad level during this phase. Project sponsors and other important stakeholders due diligently decide whether or not to commit to a project. Depending on the nature of the project, feasibility studies are conducted. In the construction industry a project charter is completed in this phase. 👉Project Planning Phase – a project management plan is developed comprehensively of individual plans for – cost, scope, duration, quality, communication, risk and resources. A plan for managing identified and unidentified risks is determined as this may affect aspects of a project later on. 👉Project Execution Phase – a project deliverable is developed and completed, adhering to a mapped-out plan. A lot of tasks during this phase capture project metrics through tasks like status meetings and project status updates, other status reports, human resource needs and performance reports. 👉Project Monitoring and Control Phase – occurring at the same time as the execution phase, this one mostly deals with measuring the project performance and progression in accordance to the project plan. Scope verification and control occur to check and monitor for scope creep, change control to track and manage changes to project requirement. Calculating key performance indicators for cost and time are done to measure the degree of variation, if any, and in which case corrective measures are determined and suggested to keep a project on track. 👉Project Closure Phase – A project is formally closed. It includes a series of important tasks such as delivering the product, relieving resources, reward and recognition to the team members and formal termination of contractors in case they were employed on the project. ✍️Summary of the article published on www.project-management.com 👣Follow @Business.HandBook for daily posts👣 Evgeny Rekling #business #handbook #BusinessHandbook #Rekling #tax #economy #investing #financial #budget #bonds #debt #FinancialAdvice #FinancialNews #project #projectmanagement #prohectmanager #newyorkbusiness (at New-York, Time Square)

📚Virtual assistant (occupation) A virtual assistant (also called a virtual office assistant) is generally self-employed and provides professional administrative, technical, or creative (social) assistance to clients remotely from a home office. 👉Because virtual assistants are independent contractors rather than employees, clients are not responsible for any employee-related taxes, insurance or benefits, except in the context that those indirect expenses are included in the VA's fees. Clients also avoid the logistical problem of providing extra office space, equipment or supplies. Clients pay for 100% productive work, and can work with Virtual Assistants, individually, or in multi-VA firms to meet their exact needs. 👉Virtual Assistants usually work for other small businesses, but can also support busy executives. It is estimated that there are as few as 5,000-10,000 or as many as 25,000 virtual assistants worldwide. ✍️Summary of article published www.Wikipedia.org 👣Follow @Business.HandBook for daily posts👣 Evgeny Rekling #business #handbook #BusinessHandbook #Rekling #b2b #b2c #BizTip #HowTo #DIY #virtualassistant #assistantneeded #workingremotely #workremote #workinnewyork #newyorkbusiness (at New York, New York)

📚Plan-Do-Check-Act (or PDCA) is one of the key elements in lean manufacturing, or for that matter in any kind of improvement process. 👉Plan. Depending on the project, this may be the largest part of the effort of the PDCA. Define the scope: What problem are you looking at? Define the target: What do you want to achieve? What are your goals? Analyze the situation: Try to understand what the current situation is. Talk to people. Visit the shop floor and observe (#GenchiGenbutsu). Collect data. Develop solutions: What approaches could help you to fix the problem? Select the best solution. 👉Do. Make your changes. Change the shop floor, create the product, actually make it happen. In any case, try to make the Do stick. Create a standard, train the workers, and confirm that they are following the standard even a few days later. 👉Check. Check carefully if it really works! This is probably the most frequently overlooked part of the PDCA. Did your implemented solution actually work? Did you achieve your goals? This is a very serious question. The management attention during a change process on the shop floor will lead to higher productivity and better quality, regardless of what is actually implemented. However, as soon as the management attention has moved on, everything reverts back to the old state. 👉Act. The Act is to decide what to do next. This depends on the outcome of the Check. If your implementation failed to achieve the targets, you have to find out the reason. This will lead to a repetition of the PDCA with another Plan to figure out a new or better solution to achieve your goals. ⁉️Now you have to think about which problem to solve next. Prioritize your problems, pick the most relevant one (usually the one with the best expected benefit for the effort), and start a new PDCA. ✍️Summary of the article published on www.allaboutlean.com 👣Follow @Business.HandBook for daily posts👣 Evgeny Rekling #business #handbook #BusinessHandbook #Rekling #tax #economy #investing #financial #budget #bonds #debt #FinancialAdvice #FinancialNews #productivity #productiontips #tips #tipbusiness #tipsforsuccess #pdca #plandocheckact (at Boston, Massachusetts)

📚Get Out of Your Comfort Zone Fear of failure, rather than lack of ability, drives us to hesitation. For comfort, we trend towards a comfort zone – a behavioral space where our activities are predictable. The benefits are obvious: contentment, low stress levels and a sense of security. The glimmer fades when we breach the boundaries of comfort. Following are the benefits derived and skills required for breaking out of your comfort zone: 👉Overcoming the fear barrier - Rationalizing fear masks the reality of the situation: you are afraid to admit anxieties and dismiss something as not worthwhile. Instead, accept the fear and think of how taking the leap can provide the impetus for growth and learning, or for realising other goals. 👉Customizing the situation - Translate your resolution into specific behaviour. Identify the challenge and find appropriate solutions. There is no one-size-fits-all proposition. Each situation is unique and needs a customised solution. So tweak the situation, take control and get the most out of it. 👉Mentorship - Connect with people who inspire and bring strength of purpose. A mentor will help you adapt to the new situation, motivate, and give you the confidence to push through and achieve your goals. ❗️In conclusion, adaptation takes time. However, a good plan and determination will maximise output potential. 📚SMART Goals 👉Specific: Is my goal specific? Do I know exactly what I want to accomplish? 👉Measurable: How will I know when I've met my goal? What kinds of benchmarks will I meet along the way? 👉Achievable: What are the means necessary to achieve your goal? List everything you think you need. It's ok if you don't currently have every item on your list (like enough time). You might find later on not everything was really needed, or that you found a way to get it. Or perhaps you used the lack of something, like time, as an excuse to avoid pursuing something that is important to you. 👉Relevant: What about this goal is important to you? How will you feel when you finally accomplish it? How is this goal relevant to your life? 👉Time-bound: When do you want to achieve this goal? Setting a realistic yet challenging time-frame creates urgency for your efforts. 👣Follow @Business.HandBook for daily posts👣 Evgeny Rekling #business #handbook #BusinessHandbook #Rekling (at Дворцовая площадь / Palace Square)

📚Digital Marketing - where to best reach out to clients? To find potential clients, you first need to know whom you are targeting. How are you positioning your company? Are you marketing to Lawyers, Restaurants, b2b, b2c... or everyone? Having a clear picture of your audience makes finding them much easier - and economical. ❗️Some way to find your clients: 👉Pitch to local businesses. The good thing about this is that if they're even the least bit interested, you can meet them face to face right away. This makes a BIG difference. 👉Pitch regularly on freelance sites like Upwork. Look for businesses that need your services in friends, family and their friends...you get the idea. 👉Grow our business the old-fashioned way, by just building relationships 👉Business Networking events are great for making new contacts, which will hopefully lead to clients and recommendations 👉SEO and SMM Local face to face business networking and community involvement are still the best way to gain trust, business and referrals. ❗️And don't forget: You're a marketing company. That means that first and foremost you should market your own company in an optimal way, as it is an indicator of the quality of your services. 👍Summary of article published on LinkedIN 👣Follow @Business.HandBook for daily posts👣 Evgeny Rekling #business #handbook #BusinessHandbook #Rekling #b2b #b2c #BizTip #HowTo #DIY #consumers #MarketingTips #marketing #mktg #GlobalMarketing #DigitalMarketing #SocialMedia #globalisation #copywriting #ContentMarketing #digitalmarketing #marketing #markengtips (at Rixos Premium Belek)
