⚠️Warning on the second slide, there is a bit of bl**d.⚠️ Little headcannon time. It is never shown but Rex and Ahsoka spent a lot of time, days possibly even weeks at that crash site burying the soldiers of the 332nd that they were able to recover. One of those men being Jesse, we had powerful imagery at the very end showing the grave sites with each of their helmets. They recovered not only each brother, but their armor and helmets to mark their graves, they gave each one a proper burial, you cannot convince me that Rex as strong as he is wasn't an emotional mess through all of that, especially when he'd find a brother either barely alive and dying or already dead and yet remembering fond memories with them. Jesse must have hit especially hard for him, they've been on more missions together than any of the others in that battalion.
