Hi! So, there's actually only OSDD in the DSM 5, OSDD-1a and b are taken from DDNOS 1a and DDNOS 1b and tacked on as a distinction, but they don't actually exist as a diagnosis themselves. If you use the terminology with a therapist they'll likely know what you're talking about but internally cringe because it's clear that someone been exposed to misinformation.

I think I just lost several years off my life.

THIS IS TERRIBLE. I hate that I've now seen this with my own two dozen eyes. I've made a mistake asking for it, but it's too late to take it back! I've made my bed, let's lay on it together.

I've never seen anything that makes DID/OSDD look worse than this. It makes it seem like it's such an unfavorable label-- from implying that we're not people and can't claim personhood to the half-assed "probably" as opposed to "if they report so". That minor difference in language and the lack of care the word "probably" gives off is just... MMM 👍

Hell, I'm a diagnosed system and I like the way "plural" looks more. I want to sign up for THAT.

First, the "plural umbrella" isn't real. It's said to contain everything from endogenic systems to MADDers to BPD systems. Hot take, NONE OF THOSE THREE ARE REAL SYSTEMS. Somehow, though, this chart makes the argument that they're somehow more valid and real than DID/OSDD systems. WHY? Why would they do this? Why would they word it this way? What made them think this was okay?

And look, there is a distinction between "parts/alters" and "people/personalities", but this is a terrible, horrible way of bringing that up, and I hate the implication that "endogenics" and "plurals" are "real people sharing a body" but "DID/OSDD" is just parts. Obviously people are going to want to reject the DID/OSDD label because their alters can feel so incredibly distinct and separate. It implies that endogenic alters are more real than mine. I AM THE ONE WITH THE PROVEN DISORDER?? You don't get to tell me yours are more real than mine, WTF??

ALSO, saying that OSDD-1a doesn't have personality states is misleading. If you're going to put us down, at least do it right. ALSO ALSO, OSDD-1a/b aren't actual clinical diagnoses, again, get it right. If you're going to trash the ISSTD and DSM, and use them as tools AGAINST the systems they encompass, at least get. It. Right.

Ever since I started college, there was a local burrito chain called “Burrito Boy”. They hands down had the best lengua burritos money could buy, plus they were very conveniently close to where I lived. (Also their green sauce is to die for) So I went out of my way to recreate the burrito boy logo using what programs I had access to to make my own burrito boy shirt (since they didn’t make any more promotional shirts)  

The original logo (on the left) was way too fuzzy for me to use my typical illustraitor wizardry on, so I had to recreate it from scratch. I also cleaned up the design and made the colors a little brighter so it could transfer cleaner onto my shirt. 

Programs used: Illustraitor

Tools used: Clear transfer paper (for white tshirts), color inkjet printer, 1 cardboard box, scissors, 1 standard clothing iron.
