“In tea? Four cubes?” IKR!!!

“Yeah. I’m the same as you.”

Emotional bonding music starts.

“Then…do you know that? Pencils and notebooks?”

“Of course. The competition for pencils and notebooks was even more tense than sugar. After all, only when you wrote something down on a sheet of paper, could you really become the freest person in the entire world…How about…chocolate bars?”

“They were like currency, right? There was such high demand for them that their value never changed.”

“I once managed to save up three hundred as a bodyguard” WHAT?!?! Three hundred worth of chocolate that you could buy with money, or actual chocolate like fucking Whole Cale Island????

“You must’ve been a millionaire then!”

“They all melt down when it got hot in the summer.”

Atsushi laughs joyously, as if he wasn’t able to for a very long time.

I want to euthanize beast chuuya. Not because I hate him I hardly know a thing about him but because I just feel so bad for him because while I haven't read beast yet from what I do know about it

In both the film and the BEAST novel, Dazai tells Atsushi and Akutagawa that they must protect the Book and Yokohama because of the danger ahead.

It is implied that more than two people should not know about these events, as it could alter space-time and make the world that Dazai so painstakingly created disappear.

However, in the film it is mentioned that Fyodor DOES KNOW about these events, so he appoints a hitman to get rid of Akutagawa and Atsushi as soon as possible.

This makes me seriously think about what role Fyodor plays in the entire series:

• Indeed Fyodor was not murdered, and it is impossible for him to be killed. Since he plays an important role as the "Grand Inquisitor" (and I think it's God/Christ himself but I'll talk about this later), the Book doesn't have an effect on him in the same way as it does with Dazai.

I watched the beast movie today....I feel like the entire movie budget went into getting Chuuyas actor a good wig because why was he the only person that looked presentable...costume design department had 5 dollars and a dream to make Chuuya look the best he possibly could for the 3 or 4 scenes he was in.

Why was Dazais actor even wearing a wig, why not have him grow his hair out a bit.

Also the absolute whiplash I got when the first scene panned from these completely normal children to Akutagawa

Also I understood the knife scene: Chuuya didn't trust Dazai to not leave while Chuuya uses corruption täso Dazai rammed the knife into his leg so that he literally can't.

Also I really ship beast shin soukoku...the Café moment really got me
