Thank you for the Proof of Life prompt this morning! You've mentioned a wedding band and a wedding (I think??) in one of today's prompts. Um...Could you maybe write the wedding? Please?? I get if its too fluffy an ask, but I'm on my kneeeees I love this universe so much I want to live in it
1. She sits against the pillows of the bed, lounging like a limp doll, totally sapped of strength.
“How come all our assignments are to places that are hot?” she asks.
Mulder, at the end of the bed, his lap half covered in only a sheet, has his hands around her foot, which he raises to his face. He gives her toes a sniff and then presses them to his lips. “Are you lodging a complaint?” he mumbles through them.
There’s a sheen of sweat across her brow and tiny beads along the bridge of her nose.
“Perhaps” she says. “I’m experiencing a fair amount of thermal fatigue.”
Mulder looks out the window of the small bungalow and into the green beyond it. He has been in India for four months. Scully has been here for one.
“Maybe we should go somewhere colder,” he says.
2. He has been working with a journalist for the Washington Post on a story about an elephant sanctuary on the fringe of the remote Manas National Park. He has been staying on property for the last week and Scully arrived that morning to finally join him. Matthas, the journalist writing the piece, left the night before, and Mulder’s work for the article is done, though Scully doesn’t know this. He has arranged a rare day off for her, and the mahouts who live at the sanctuary are eager to show her a good time.
She has taken to dressing in brighter colors since her arrival here, and today wears a gauzy pink blouse over a bright green sarong, her hair a frizzy muzz on the top of her head. It is hard to look away from her.
Mulder, his camera in its ubiquitous place around his neck, is talking to Anand, one of the mahouts.
“Scully,” he calls out.
She is standing atop grass of virulent green reading one of the signs they have up for visitors, explaining the need for the camp in Assam.
She waves and he gives her a “come here,” gesture. She moves toward him.
“I don’t want to get in the way,” she says demurely, hanging back a bit.
“It’s fine,” he smiles at her. “I have a surprise for you.”
On a nod from Anand, he takes her hand and walks her over to the river, where another mahout, Davanesh, stands next to one of the sanctuary’s stars, Tara, who sways on soft feet, keeping a rhythm known only to her kind.
“Come and meet her,” Mulder says. He had met Tara upon his arrival and knows the beast to be kind-hearted and affectionate. He picked her specifically for this.
The river next to them is a purling brown, with the grass-cutter area beyond it. In the woods behind the river, one of the sanctuary elephants calls out and Tara answers with a short, happy trumpet.
Scully smiles at him nervously. “Is it safe?”
He shrugs and grins back. “Safe enough.”
The elephant turns her attention to the newcomer and lifts her trunk when Scully approaches, reaching out to touch her lightly on the shoulder, on her ponytail. Scully is delighted by the attention, if a little timid. Tara begins gently nosing Scully’s face. The elephant’s trunk is gray on top, the bottom the same delicate pink as Scully’s shirt. Her long eyelashes are soft and feather-like, gentle fans around intelligent eyes.
The mahout says something and Mulder interprets.
“You breathe into their trunk so they can get to know your scent,” he explains.
Scully, still a little skittish, does as prompted and then Tara takes a step back, swinging her trunk back and forth a few times before swinging it over to Davanesh, who smiles at Mulder and nods.
“Now hold out your hand,” Mulder says, butterflies set to wing in his stomach.
Tara takes a step forward and swings her trunk back at Scully, dropping something gently in her outstretched hand, her trunk as nimble as human fingers.
“What is…?” Scully says, and looks at her palm. There is a small turquoise satin bag sitting on it.
“Open it,” Mulder says softly, stepping up behind her.
She opens the bag and shakes out a delicate silver ring into her other palm. She gives a small gasp.
Mulder lowers himself to one knee beside her and Davanesh smiles widely, his teeth bright white against his dark skin.
“Mulder, you don’t have to-”
“It feels like the thing to do,” he smiles up at her. “Will you?”
He doesn’t actually say the words, and Scully doesn’t actually say yes, but she nods happily, a look crossing her face that Mulder interprets as the urge to laugh and cry at the same time. Before he can reach up to put the ring on her finger, Tara starts bumping him in the head with her trunk, unused to not being the center of attention. Scully lets out a sharp peel of laughter and Mulder finally stands, a thought occurring to him.
“Shit!” he says, someone indecorously. “I forgot to take a picture!”
3. “I’ll give you this,” Scully says as they walk past the building of the Consulate General, a ritual they do on their first day in any foreign country. “It’s certainly not too hot here.”
They are just down from the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, still on Princes Street. It’s early April in Scotland, and, Mulder has to admit, butt-fucking cold.
The American flag snaps and flaps in the cold breeze at the top of the building they stand in front of, and they nod at the Marine behind the gate before turning on their heel and heading back toward the castle. They are unlikely to need the services of the Consulate here, but have had the occasion, on no less than three separate instances, to yell “I’m an American!” while running full bore at embassy and consulate gates in other parts of the world, and every time, the young Marine (it’s always a young Marine) stationed there has snapped to attention and saved their hides.
Here, they’re more in danger of tripping over a cobblestone while walking to the closest coffee shop, but Scully said she was sick of the heat, and Mulder has an idea.
It started with listless boredom, as these things tend to, laid out in a tent near the equator, reading whatever English-language book that happened to be left behind by a colleague or visitor. In this case it was a Regency romance novel that Scully had burned through the weekend before and Mulder picked up on the working theory that you could actually die of boredom. At the time, all he thought was: needs must.
In the story, a young daughter of a marquess – madly in love with the blacksmith who’d heroically fixed the axle on her wayward carriage, eloped with her muscle-bound beau to Gretna Green and married only minutes before her viscous older brother arrived on scene with the cavalry of the ton at his back. The young couple slipped away and consummated the marriage (with many a heaving bosom) beneath a willow in the village square and what’s done was done and they lived happily ever after.
Mulder prefers the bed in their rented flat to the wet sod of a village green and they had consummated their relationship hundreds of times over at this point, but Gretna Green: now there was an idea.
He grabs her mittened hand, the ring around her finger a hard nub under his hand, and feels a swell of something like pride. That this incredible woman would choose him.
As they begin the walk up the Royal Mile, they pass coffee shops, gelato shops, store fronts hocking kitschy souvenirs. Mulder pulls up in front of one of probably twenty with a mannequin in the window wearing a kilt. It’s fitted out in the whole nine yards (literally—where the saying came from) of formal wear; hose with flashes, a sporran, Prince Charlie jacket. There’s even a sheathed dirk tucked into the waistband.
“So, I had a thought,” he says.
Scully turns her attention from the window to him.
“I was thinking we could elope.” She raises her eyebrows at this. “Here,” he goes on to explain.
A small smile creeps up her cheek.
“Do you remember that novel in Laos, the one that made the rounds through camp? The blacksmith and the wanton wallflower, something…” he trails off.
“I remember an outbreak of the clap not long after…”
Mulder stifles the urge to laugh.
“That’s the one.”
It takes Scully a moment to catch up. “You want to elope to Gretna Green?” Her eyebrows are sky high.
“Bad idea?” he says a little self-consciously.
“No, I-“ she turns back to the store window. “I kind of love it, actually.”
“We ran off to Gretna Green would make a great story,” he says.
She squeezes his hand. “I don’t think anything could top our meet-cute.”
He smiles at her, looks to the window himself.
“Would you wear a kilt?” she asks.
“Would you want me to?”
She half-turns her head to him, a sly little smile on her face.
4. Click.
He takes one picture before handing his camera over to the volunteer witness, who immediately turns the lens back on Mulder, an odd, curious feeling.
One he forgets the instant he turns to Scully.
She is in a simple white dress, her long hair brushed to a high shine and curled over one shoulder. She carries no flowers and is wearing only simple silver jewelry, and her hands are warm and dry and fit just right into his. She never once looks away.
They opted for a ceremony in the original marriage room of the old smithy, partly for the kitsch of it and partly as an inside joke, but Mulder doesn’t feel like laughing as they stand over the old anvil. There is an ethereal earthiness to the room, with its whitewashed stone walls and rough hewn low ceiling battened with old horseshoes.
As the officiant speaks of love being forged in an unbreakable bond, Mulder thinks of 1055, of their stringy hair and unwashed bodies, of the boot-steps of the men always lurking outside their door.
Love isn’t just forged in peace and bliss, he thinks, but in trial and turmoil too.
They hold hands and exchange rings and when the officiant pronounces them wed, he leans in to press his lips to hers and it’s all sun-dried linen and eucalyptus and that room on the 10th floor. Flowers come from dirt. Good things can come from bad. Love can come from anywhere if only you have the courage to hang onto it.

5 Reasons to Invest in Trehan Luxury Floors in Gurgaon
Tumblr media
In recent years, India's real estate market has experienced remarkable growth. Apart from buying property for residential purposes, realty buyers have multiplied their real estate investments. Commercial, residential like Trehan Luxury Floors, flats, plots, farmhouses and luxury floors - property buyers have ample real estate avenues to select from. As a result, many renowned builders offer villas, apartments, bungalows, duplexes, row houses, floors, etc., meeting various needs of the real estate investors. Here, Luxury floors are one of such addition which is attracting marvellous property buyers' responses. However, there are property buyers who are confused regarding luxury floor investments.
Therefore, this blog will highlight 5 reasons why investing in a luxury floor is a smart move offering lucrative returns.
What are Luxury Floor Properties?
A Luxury floor apartment is a residential unit located within a low-rise building which typically consists of three to five storeys. These buildings contain floors of similar layout or design. Floor apartments are commonly built on small to medium-sized residential plots. Each floor is sold separately by the builder, with pricing varying based on factors such as floor level and amenities.
1.    First Choice of High-End Clients
Upscale floors like Trehan Luxury Floors Sector 71 appeal to wealthy people like CEOs, celebrities and highly paid individuals. These people get privacy, sophistication and luxurious living all together. Also, these fancy floors are always popular and in demand attracting wealthy tenants who don't mind paying a little extra for superior amenities and elegance.
2.    Appreciating Properties
Luxury floors enjoy good appreciation. Independent floors especially ones with good locations and amenities are always in demand and can easily sold at a premium.
3.    Complete Ownership of the Floor
Investing in luxury floors presents a savvy choice, providing exclusivity and an ample amount of space. The owner of independent floors enjoys complete ownership on the entire floor.
With an entire floor to yourself, you have the freedom to customize it to your preferences. This fosters a sense of ownership and individuality. Compared to other lavish alternatives like bungalows and villas, luxury floors offer a more cost-effective option without compromising on sophistication. Enjoying the privacy and tranquillity of your own floor elevates the living experience filled with luxury and comfort.
4.     Less Maintenance Fee
One of the major advantages of investing in independent floors is that you pay less maintenance fees. Flat owners have to pay high maintenance due to the very nature of the building. For instance, each floor common area, and staircase requires cleaning and lighting. Similarly, flat owners have to share resources as well like lifts, water storage tanks etc. However, in the case of floors, most of such expenses are not required. In a nutshell, owners pay less maintenance and enjoy complete ownership of resources too.
5.    A Reasonable Cost Independent floors cost less compared to the benefits they bring. For instance, properties like Trehan Luxury Floors Sector 71 Gurgaon offer sophistication and a wide range of amenities to its buyers. Such properties are in high demand among both home buyers and investors. Despite their popularity, they are at a cheaper cost compared to other similar spacious and luxurious alternatives like villas and bungalows.

5 Important Tips To Choose A Bungalow Elevator
Many building owners, bungalow owners, property dealers, and builders face this problem. The market is flooded with lift manufacturers, but how to choose a reliable bungalow elevator? What are the parameters, you should consider when choosing an elevator for your dream bungalow? How to recognize a quality lift? These and many other important questions will be answered in this business-centric blog.
Tumblr media
Let’s straightaway shift our focus to the 5 important tips to choose a bungalow elevator.
This is a misconception that an expensive luxurious lift is quality-driven. Simply because a lift is expensive doesn’t mean that it has quality. That’s why we thought of writing this blog for our readers, especially building owners, bungalow owners, property dealers, and builders
5 important tips to choose a bungalow elevator
Consider the reputation of the manufacturer
Quality parameters
Customization flexibility
Location, specification, and your bungalow
Service & maintenance
Consider the reputation of the manufacturer
Before you make up your mind to buy a luxurious lift for your bungalow, choose a few reputed lift manufacturers. Examine their history in the market. How customers perceive them as a lift designer and supplier.
Quality parameters
As you know, the lift is designed for vertical movement between floors in a multistory building. Reputed lift manufacturers adhere to a wide range of quality parameters to ensure the safety of passengers. Every life is precious. Even school-going kids use lifts. As a result, the quality of the bungalow lift is paramount.
Customization flexibility
Don’t expect this facility from an ordinary manufacturer. Only a reputed and experienced manufacturer of lifts has the competency to offer customization flexibility to their customers. For example, you want to change the interior of the cabin as the current one doesn’t suit your requirement. Every individual has a design in his mind, he/ she wants that to be visible in the lift. That's why the customization facility assumes significance. Don’t expect that from ordinary lift manufacturers.
Location, specification, and your bungalow
When choosing an elevator for your dream bungalow or flat, consider the layout of the building, the space where the lift is intended to be installed. Discuss these specifications with the bungalow lift manufacturer in Ahmedabad, India. This will ensure that the lift you have chosen fits perfectly in the building layout. If there is a scarcity of space, choose the compact lift designed for small spaces.
Service and maintenance
This is again an important feature of a quality-driven lift by a leading lift manufacturer. A quality-driven lift requires less maintenance in comparison to an ordinary lift. As a result, you don’t have to bother about its maintenance.
Low maintenance means, you don’t have to earmark a certain fund for annual maintenance. Also, that hassle of calling a technician or service engineer wouldn’t cross your mind. Sounds exciting! That’s the hallmark of a quality lift purchased from a reputed lift manufacturer.
Conclusion
We are hoping this blog will act as a guide for you when you choose a bungalow lift. Never compromise the quality of the lift. The 5 Important Tips To Choose A Bungalow Elevator has highlighted the ill effects of an ordinary lift as well as the benefit of a quality-driven lift.

For @apsaraqueen
This was written as cheerupemofic for BAMF a few weeks-ish ago, I think? Never got around to posting it but here it goes. Somewhat experimental R/J. Some angst but... it’s, uh, for BAMF? So. Yeah.
***
“Love is so short, forgetting is so long.” - Pablo Neruda
I.
The Moon is beautiful and stately, all marble palaces and graceful domes, but leached of colour in an eerie wash of silvery white. Jikokuten takes a knee in the throne room and looks askance at the royals, for even they blend into this ghostly dream-world with their pearlescent gowns and platinum locks. The weather and grounds are flawless, not a single leaf or stone out of place. It’s almost too perfect-- ominously so-- and to one whose kingdom only dons white for mourning, it’s jarring.
And then he sees the High Queen’s court file in, the warrior princesses of legend, flanking the throne two by two, and there she is, a spot of scarlet in the sea of white. Ebony hair and auspicious red skirts, eyes like the twilight sky before it turns full dark. He blinks, and his heart stutters.
II.
The sheep are languishing in the heat, and getting leaner by the day with nothing but dry brush to eat, and Jochi coaxes some of his own water onto the littlest and weakest of the lambs. It’s foolish, and more than likely the little animal would die anyway, too malnourished to survive the drought which had blighted the steppes this summer. His father had always railed at him for being too soft-hearted, too foolish and un-Mongolian, but a part of Jochi always had perhaps too much sympathy for the foundlings and the weaker ones. There is a nebulous memory, perhaps not his own, of standing up for a boy with eyes like the open sky and a shock of black hair from-- what? He doesn’t quite know.
He hears the sound of hoofbeats-- it is a grand procession, the entourage of one of the Khans, and that is both blessing and curse, for they would surely bring much-needed supplies and victuals if returning from a successful raid, but just as surely would bring death and doom against any interlopers or opposing factions. Jochi’s yellow hair would stand out like a beacon, and so he pulls up his hood despite the summer heat and draws back into the shadows to watch the group. The warriors are fearsome indeed astride their ponies, bows and sabers at the ready. There is an iron-haired Chieftain at the forefront, proud and indomitable with eyes as fierce as a falcon’s. And then right behind him, dwarfed by the stalwarts flanking her, must be the clan’s princess, wearing a fine red dress and ornaments of silver and amber around her neck and atop her raven hair. She’s beautiful, with eyes as fearless as her Sire’s, but more so, something about her face strikes such a pang in Jochi that he forgets himself, and steps forward, right into the path of the procession. He’s knocked senseless not a moment later under the marauding hooves, but he only has eyes for the desert-mirage loveliness of the princess’ face.
III.
Jun doesn’t meet Ru-Yi until the wedding. She’s brought over to his familial estate in a lavish palanquin, amidst loud, raucous music and the rapid pops of firecrackers, and escorted to the altar by the servants to kneel next to his older brother Kai. As the heir apparent, it is imperative that Kai make a good marriage to a wife who would not shame him and brings all the right assets to the match, and Ru-Yi’s father is a very wealthy, powerful man. The newlyweds courtesy to their parents and each other, and then someone lifts the bride’s red veil away from her face, and Jun almost drops his goblet of wine. It is a stunningly elegant face, all cherry lips and willowy brows, but what’s more, though he’s certain he has never met her before, it’s somehow familiar. She, too, seems to feel it, because her eyes linger on his for a moment too long, a thin line of confusion drawing between those brows, before she turns away with a bland smile for the procession of well-wishers.
Despite the many presents of dates and lotus seeds on the wedding day, and, months and years later, the foul-smelling tonics and powders, she never bears Kai any sons, and Jun watches, heart heavy, as Kai takes on one concubine after another, carouses in the brothels night after night, as the lines between Ru-Yi’s brows grow deeper and deeper with cheated joy and thwarted wishes. He doesn’t care if she doesn’t bear any sons, but she’s not his concern-- will never be his concern. There are flowers left on her doorstep in the mornings, still wet with dew and with neither name nor note. It’s poor consolation for both of them, but she’s not his to love.
IV.
The air is arid and far too hot, almost tinged the same turmeric-yellow as the hot sun blazing down overhead. Captain Geoffrey Lindhurst with Her Majesty’s navy had been in India for all of four months, and is still getting accustomed to the local climate, so different from the ever-present London fog. The local food, too, is a far departure from the starchy Sunday roasts and meat pies and puddings of his boyhood, with its exotic spices and bountiful portions. The servants at his bungalow are politely quiet and do their tasks without complaint, but he has the sense that there is far more to their lives and customs than the scant glimpses that he sees now and then.
He’s out taking a walk on a balmy evening, and passes by one of the temples. He knows nothing of the religious beliefs of the locals, with their somewhat-fearsome-looking, animalistic gods with their fiery eyes and six hands and elephant heads, but many of the locals seem quite devout in their faith, praying several times a day and eschewing certain foods in their diets. Even at this late hour, the temple is open for worshippers, its air smoky with incense, and he sees a young woman emerge, clad in the flowing, traditional garments with a gauzy scarf over her dark hair. His gaze meets hers for only a split-second-- light blue to orchid-- but it jolts his system harder than a glass of raw gin. He has no idea who she is, and moreover, everything in his training and upbringing tells him that he has no business dallying with any of the locals. Geoffrey opens his mouth to speak, against everything that he’s known all his life, but she vanishes down one of the narrow paths and disappears into the night before he can say anything, or be quite sure that she wasn’t just an illusion, a trick of the light.
He visits the temple enough in his years stationed here that he gets to learn the local traditions and customs, and indeed become quite familiar with their rituals. But he never sees her again.
V.
The dame walks into his dilapidated hole-in-the-wall of an office on stiletto heels the red of fresh blood. Jack knows trouble when he sees it, and she’s all but radiating it like smoke surrounding a wildfire. “Help you, ma’am?” He keeps his voice brusque and businesslike even as she shrugs off a lustrous black mink stole to reveal crimson silk and fiery diamonds, curves in all the right places. “What brings you to this side of town?”
“I need a private investigator, and they say you’re the best. My driver’s outside, and he’s bigger and meaner than you,” she adds in a snide tone to match the diamond earrings. “My name is Rowena Warrington. Henry Warrington’s daughter.”
The Governor’s daughter has as much business in the seedy part of downtown as he would rubbing shoulders with millionaires in a fancy ballroom. “Don’t you have security, or lawyers, or whatever, to deal with whatever you’re dealing with, Ms. Warrington? This is a bad neighbourhood.”
“And no one’s been able to figure out the truth behind my mother’s death, so here I am.” Presumptuously, she makes herself at home, sitting down in a battered folding metal chair like it’s a throne as she lights a cigarette. “Price is no object, of course.”
“No.”
He won’t be swayed, because this is exactly the type of trouble that he doesn’t want, even though she turns on the wheedle, and later, the tears. He lets her leave in high dudgeon, and shuts the door behind her, and tells himself that his instinct-- one that tells him in no uncertain terms that he’d narrowly escaped a terrible fate-- was spot-on. And he busies himself with the usual mundane work which flows in every day like water through a leaky pot-- fraud cases. Stolen heirlooms. Prisoners on the lam. Cheating spouses.
He reads about the huge, tragic scandal some months later in the paper-- the cover-ups, the blood money, the extortion, the beautiful young woman whose life is tragically cut short because she’d had the audacity to poke her flawless nose where it definitely didn’t belong and wouldn’t take no for an answer, and is shocked at the grief which hits him. He owed her nothing, he tells himself as he broods into his second whiskey. She said herself that her driver was bigger and meaner than him. She should’ve been safe. Should’ve been careful.
Should’ve been protected, with one’s very life.
He throws the newspaper into the fire and watches it curl up into ash as he pours himself another one.
VI.
The busful of unconscious mortals is just where he wants them, of course, and Jadeite goes about the business of collecting their energy, siphoning it for Queen Metallia’s use. It’s rote and routine, but then a flash of scarlet catches his eye, and it’s the miko from the temple at the last bus-stop. Black and white and red all over, and he pauses, kneels down to move a strand of her lustrous black hair out of her face.
“So beautiful. Ever since I’ve seen this girl, there’s something about her…” Something haunting, like a hint of incense smoke that clings to the air or a raven’s feather, black against white pavement, a memory that is-and-isn’t his. With a gentleness that he’s not had cause to employ in a very long time, he carefully shifts her into a more comfortable position, one more like natural sleep than the unconsciousness of a sinister spell, and lingers, unable to tear his eyes away from her exquisite, weirdly familiar face, until the all-too-unfortunate shouts of angry feminine voices tells him that he is not alone, and the Sailor senshi have arrived.
The miko opens her eyes and everything snaps into place a split-second before she transforms and a rage of fire heads for him, and he has but a moment to mouth the word ‘Sorry’, unheard and unacknowledged, before the flame hits in a wall of agony and heat. It’s no more or less than he deserves.
VII
The world is lustrous, glistening crystal, but unlike the Silver Millennium and the Moon Kingdom, the diamond brilliance of the towers bring colours into sharp relief, turning white sunlight into countless prismatic rainbows and reflecting the pale blue of the sky as rich sapphire. Jadeite takes a knee with his compatriots in the throne room and bows his head before the royals-- his King and Queen, united at last. Countless lives had been lived to lead to this-- an entry to a paradise hard-earned.
There she is, still, raven hair and red skirts, and after, when everyone has broken off into their groups, he seeks her out. He has no reason to expect a positive reception, but the words are long overdue, and she has a right to them.
“Lady Mars.” He makes an elaborate leg, as one might have done in a decadent court in the era of gilt and Rococo. She raises an eyebrow, but doesn’t storm away or glare, and that’s something.
“No need to stand on ceremony, Lord Jadeite. We’ve met before. More than once, I daresay.”
“And I’ve loved you every time.” The words are baldly spoken and perhaps too blunt, in poor form, but they’ve been buried for far too many years and lifetimes already. She halts, and he notices that her breath isn’t quite steady, and that gives him the courage to remain where he is instead of making a hasty escape.
Finally, a queer sort of half-smile crosses her face as she tilts it back up to his. “You’ve been terrible about showing it up to now, haven’t you?”
“Up to now,” he agrees. “It doesn’t have to remain so. Unless you wish it.”
“Hmm.” She glances away, but stays standing where she is, within reach. “I suppose we’ll have to see.”

Urban Frame House - Designed by Prashant Parmar Architect & Interior Designer
Tumblr media
4 BHK Bungalow in Ahmedabad Evolved Harmoniously With Nature! The client had a simple and clear brief of 4 BHK Bungalow and was seeking a lifestyle that evolved harmoniously between man and nature. They wanted the house to have a connection with the garden, plenty of natural light, and lively interiors.
Tumblr media
As one enters the house, the built form reveals its framed facade closely. This concept of frames is introduced with the intent to maintain the privacy of the user. The planning allows for integrating a linear parking area. Since the house shares a common wall with an adjoining bungalow on the south, a beautiful garden has been provided in the north. A hierarchy of three frames creates an interesting mass of volumes.
Tumblr media
The ground floor is an exciting and cozy space with prudent openings. The first frame marks a refreshing entry to the garden as well as to the house with double-height volume, with fresh views of the garden lots of natural light and air. One lands into a vestibule that gives a glimpse of the spaces leading to the drawing-room.
Tumblr media
The drawing room opens to the views of the garden and has a swift connection and a nature-inspired theme. The dining and kitchen space are placed opposite to each yet allows significant visual connections with the main entry and drawing room as well. What I love most about this house, is a stunning family sitting with a huge void space above connecting the ground floor to the highest ceiling of the house.
Tumblr media
With an artificial vertical garden in its backdrop, this space becomes even more appealing and colorful. This volume creates a drama of light and shadows throughout the day across the interiors with the triple-height window.
The parents’ bedroom is drawn towards the south and has its own garden with pergola. The journey to the upper level happens through the circulation facilities like the staircase and a lift, placed towards the south. The first floor is a brightly lit space with the natural light striking the passages that lead to the master and son’s bedroom. The passage overlooks the vertical garden wall the family sitting below. The master bedroom expresses the warmth of the wood and the combination of a bronze mirror with white MCM cladding material and its significantly large size allows visual connections with the ground floor entrance and the garden below. An elevated garden facing west has been provided on the first level, being enclosed directly by the highest façade frame, it becomes a double heightened garden. The son’s bedroom towards the south displays a blend of dark earthen elements. On the second floor, a guest bedroom and a compact leisure room are placed adjoining to a vast elevated party lawn. This terrace garden gives the users a chance to get closer to the ultimate height of the uppermost frame. The materiality of the house is vibrant in every space. Combination of stone, wood, Italian marble for flooring across the house, and the contemporary furniture pieces, add luxury and comfort to the spaces. This Urban Frame House is a unique combination of spatial planning extensive spaces and expressive lights that helped visualize the dreams of our client. PROJECT FACT FILE: Name: Urban Frame House Location: Paldi, Ahmedabad. Plot Area: 3,600 sq.ft. Built-up Area: 5,000 sq.ft. Start Year: 2017 Completion Year: 2019 Amid a dense residential society of Ahmedabad, this residence evolves as an interesting mass of three volumes. The structure follows a hierarchy of frames which are inscribed in a varied mix of materials and textures. This gives the facade a sturdy look amid the colony of conventional and simple old residential structures. Each framed volume of this facade improvises the journey through the house by allowing the strategical segregation of spaces. About us Prashant Parmar Architect established his firm in 2000.
