Final #livesessionsunday for the year means I’ve gotta pick from over 40 great sets, but juuuust winning out is Green Day’s 2005 Live album, Bullet In A Bible. This is peak Green Day, with all of their pop/power punk on display in the London arena, performing a set taken largely form American Idiot and featuring a few earlier hits (and an awesome medley) with such passion and energy and ongoing relevance that I can’t recommend it enough. Listen to the album, or watch the video version of the concert. You won’t be disappointed. Available on iTunes and Spotify. Final session of the year, appropriately a leg focused session. This year has brought a lot of ups and downs that I’ll go into in a non-review post later, but I’m glad I’ve managed to keep up my fitness, and really appreciate all the love I’ve been getting for the reviews.
