had a weird dream that was like....post-apocalyptic cassette futurism

don't remember much except fighting with my dream character's dad, and then he died protecting me from bulletbugs so I had to sing songs he liked as part of public mourning

but bc we didnt get along i barely knew what songs he liked and had to ask the vhs librarian for music videos he checked out frequently and then go from there

and then it turned out he was watching/listening to stuff my dream character liked so we would have smth to talk about so I in-character) was on the stairs at the survival base belting my heart out all these songs we shouldve listened to together and trying desperately to keep my voice steady, lamenting the fact that there wasn't any music in our shared native language that I barely knew even though he was so proud of it

it felt like a movie, pretty wild. dream dad looked a lot like ken watanabe and dream character looked like a cross between viveik kalra and phum viphurit...??

if i had time i'd like to draw it as a comic. v interesting characters and worldbuilding imo
