I love Arson he's my favorite heater but I should really get a cheap laptop one day so I can leave the house to write because the Noise. Is . Too Much. I need to go write in the forest
#I live in a very very full and busy house hold#and sometimes it makes it extremely difficult to work#both on art stuff and packaging#but also writing especially#i have horrible executive dysfunction but on good days ill still try and get thwarted by multiple inturruptions and loud sounds#and on bad days ill just completely shut down from it all#adhd meds and headphones cannot fix Other People In My Space lmao#sara shush#personal#complaining#Unfortunately if i ask to be left alone or for quieter volume i will get neither of those even if i lock my door#I legit have a sign on my door that lets people know when im live streaming and have asked not even volume control just to be left alone#and there will still be knocking on my door for questions like 'can you go get something from the store'#i need. people to understand that if i am busy esp if i am doing packages and stickers and stuff that i am WORKING#please treat it like im at a 9-5 office building somewhere act like i dont exist#you dont just walk into someones place of work and start venting/asking them of things while theyre at their job#'but you're at home' yes and im still working and i have communicated this several times#i did not mean to vent but GOD

#qsmp#i'll see the tag flooded with this similar sentiment and yeah i really do#i haven't really had a hyperfixation since it ended (aside from watching phil streams ofc). it's still kinda there even if it's not active#like dang it i want q's goal of uniting communities around the world to continue so badly#and whenever it returns i hope everything turns out okay bts-wise#hell so many cc's express missing it as well. and it's interesting bc...#idk it's so different from d$mp where barely a handful expressed really missing it#whereas here i do think (despite what a lot of bitter ex-fans like to project) a lot of cc's could return as long as things are better#bc the experience of qsmp is hard to replicate or make in just any other server#qsmp was just something special. and sure another qsmp won't truly replicate the 'magic' of its first beginnings but whatever#i don't want it to try doing that. i hope it tries to be its own thing while still pursuing that goal of worldwide community building

I have a hypothesis that having something to watch and look forward to every week (or at least in a regular time intervals) is more significant and beneficial to people's mental health more than one could think
It's both important because of the enrichment factor, but also from the perspective of having something positive to look forward to every week at a set time, guaranteed to appear no matter of what happened in your life, the state of your mood and where are you currently in life
As well as being delivered in manageable doses, not causing overwhelm, not taking up enough time to be disorderly to your schedule
I feel it's especially important to neurodivergent people, but also being a net positive in neurotypicals as well
It's generally a comforting presence that makes us feel a little bit more in control in the face of everything else that might be going on at the while
I feel like entertainment is generally more significant to our lives than it's often regarded as
We need to unwind in a controlled way on a regular basis

alrighty, am setting things up for our art and writing stream that's gonna take place on Piczel on Wednesday!
decided i'm gonna stream on my laptop so hoping all the things I downloaded will work on there and if not then hopefully my mac can handle streaming once again ;-;

How much am I allowed to post/ramble about the solarpunk zombie apocalypse story I'm working on before it gets annoying.
Bonus points: I haven't actually gotten to the solarpunk part of it.
#out of queue#ani rambles#Ani's Solarpunk Zombie Story#yes there's a tag now im preparing for the inevitable future where i go off on some wildass tangent#ive been working on this shit since like. 2022 i think. and i still only just wrote the end of the first night last week#its one of those 'im stuck on everything else so maybe i can do this' project#and usually when im stuck on everything else im stuck on that too#but yknow what? fuck if I didn't write some paragraphs on it last week so now my braincell's all like#OOH! can they have electricity in a post-apocalyptic solarpunk society? should there be a stream near the community for current generation?#but wait! what would they use electricity for? but wait! can you do viral research without electricity? how'd they do it in the past?#when was electricity invented? were they doing viral research before that? they had to be right but were they? but wait#does the society work as envisioned in my briancell without electricity? what if candlelight? candlelight could be fun! but would it besafe#wildly off topic but waste! what do they do with waste? did they make a wetland system to deal with the waste? but then all the pipes would#need to go to this wastewater system! if they didn't already in the buildings they repurposed then there'd have to be work to reroute them!#would it be more reasonable for everyone to have composting toilets? how do you make composting toilets in the apocalypse???#is there just a team of people every day who get paid to make the rounds and take away waste buckets every night? but where to?#what's their PPE like? is there PPE in the apocalypse? there has to be right! but how? what from? like my guy has PPE#because Briar worked for a research facility before it got overrun#but how did THEY work? did The NEST have electricity? leathermakers? where'd they get food from? vials? materials? supplies?#god its a lot to think about#on the one hand i can take the 'its sci fi dont think about it too hard' but on the other hand it has to feel REALISTIC#or else I'm a BAD AUTHOR who's CRINGE and NOT POG and am doing BAD SOLARPUNKING
