Most of us Asians are having these markets like these, but here in our country (for me) is unique. For foreign tourists or Filipinos born overseas, better to know about this. Wet markets (in Filipino, “palengke”), here are not just a place to buy fresh goods, save more, and go, but it also a part of our daily lives. We tend to look for cheaper to the other store with the same products, talking to the stall owners about most in the market, and understanding how they’re working and living. Being in these wet markets like these not just only snagging a deal, but also it is amazing to know about the culture of the people here. Yet, I grew up from the place were titled properties and informal settlers are coexisting, and one of the things we’ve learned is to buy something in the wet market. There are more to come in few days later, and thank you for viewing (though, I can’t tone down the exposure and brightness of these photos).
