Centipede + Radiation

The Seeker is a wonderer. They are no stranger to unknown lands and places beyond Bugaria, monuments of old times and tools no one saw before.

Their primary interest is finding and harvesting crystals. The strange ancient device on their back (Geiger's counter) helps the Seeker detect and locate the crystals near by. With a help of the hook they use to reach places and pick up the clicks. It's also a handy weapon in a rough situations.

Overall a friendly but quiet fellow. The cloak can be intimidating (sometimes in their favor) but it's mainly there to give ease to their eyes, being somewhat light sensitive.

The collected crystals are then traded or sold, not for berries but for food and shelter, before the Seeker continues their journey.

Fun fact: Marigold occupies the specific niche of villain as many comic book supervillains - the more dark the setting, the more she can get away with, and the deadlier of a threat she becomes.

Bug Fables, being a fairly light-hearted RPG, sticks her in "secret boss with horrific implications" territory, where she's not necessarily too dark to disrupt the E for Everyone rating but thinking on the facts presented for more than a few minutes makes everything rapidly enter something adjacent to the horrible implications of Snakemouth Den.

In settings closer to grimdark, however, she could probably become an extremely significant villain fairly easily even while remaining on the backlines, putting multiple main characters into permanent benching, major identity crises, and forced-to-kill-a-friend situations even without having to directly show her face.

In case of a genre upset, she is very much the kind of character where literally all of her plots could be foiled with a well-placed Bugs Bunny reducing her to a comedy bit.

sooo ive finally gotten around to (binge) playing bug fables after years of knowing of/having it and ive made it very far in!!! like 32+ hours im (minimal/very vauge spoiler ahead) just past the giants lair, actually! speaking of the giants lair, i just have ooone statement when it comes to it:

Forgot to post this on Tumblr... ah, well. Second stage of Them. Fun fact: this set also contains a Gregorsa, but as roaches are the vessels of approximately six hundred thousand spoilers to every aspect of Bug Fables, we had to take him out back to make sure he didn't interfere. He'll probably be fine. He's already dead, anyways.
