Andi Mack: Buffy Driscoll - Type 3w4
Tumblr media
Buffy is competitive, ambitious, protective and determined. Buffy always strives to be the best in all that she does (especially basketball), but is also always there for her friends.
At her best, Buffy realises that being the best isn’t everything and becomes less competitive in some of her relationships.
At her worst, Buffy can be a bit rash and can jump to conclusions, as we see when she assumes Marty stole her shoes and decides to get revenge by soaking his shoes.
Buffy is really protective of her friends and often stands up for them, as we see in her friendships with Cyrus and Andi. Buffy is also very trustworthy which we can see when she vows to not tell Cyrus’ secret. She also ends up breaking up with Walker because she doesn’t like the way it is impacting her friendship with Andi.
Buffy always tries pushes herself to do her best, as we see when she wants to join the boys’ basketball team. Buffy is accepted onto the team, but is virtually ignored by her teammates (in large part due to TJ being threatened). Instead, Buffy decides to make her own girls’ team because she’s a trailblazer. Initially, Buffy is disappointed because she thinks her team is bad, but as the season progresses, Buffy realises it’s more important to have a team bond and becomes a very good coach, leading to them winning their first match.
Tumblr media
Buffy has always felt like she has had to be strong and confident because her mother was deployed. As a result, Buffy doesn’t like to be vulnerable as we see when she doesn’t want to say goodbye to Andi and Cyrus. She also doesn’t want her last memories with them to be negative. Luckily, Buffy is able to stay friends with them and is better equipped to move on when Andi says she’s leaving.
Buffy shows her wing 4 as she is more achievement-oriented and reserved than a 3w2.
Tri-type: 3w4 - 1w2 - 6w5
Some quotes to describe Buffy’s motivations
“I am a real Buffy, and I prefer not to being compared to a fictional vampire slayer on a television show from the last century.”
“I have to be strong because that’s what I promise my mom every time she gets deployed.”
“Vampires aren't the only thing this Buffy is slaying.”
Marty: “Do I know you?” Buffy: “I think you would know if you knew me.” Marty: “What have you done that's so great that I would know you?” Buffy: “What haven't I done?” Marty: “I'm gonna say... you haven't eaten a live frog.” Buffy: “Have you?” Marty: “Yes” Buffy: “Why would you eat a live frog?” Marty: “He mouthed off.” Buffy: “You never ate a live frog.” Marty: “Of course not! You're just making this conversation very difficult.” Buffy: “I'm just here for the cheese puffs.”
Buffy: “How do you feel about doing some spy work?” Cyrus: “You kidding? I already got the trench coat and fedora hanging in my closet.” Buffy: “We just need your camera with the big lens.” Cyrus: “I love this! I feel like we’re in one of those old detective movies. Let’s get to work.”

Imagine it's 26th of July, 8:34pm. You're watching Disney Channel, and the Andi Mack series finale is on screen.
Muffy and Tyrus are both canon, and Andi and Jonah have agreed they are better as friends. Ambi are happily dancing together, and you are content.
Suddenly, there is a commotion about the stage area. You see TJ get up and head to the keyboard, Cyrus following him with a mic stand. Andi and Jonah are on the right side of the stage, sharing a mic, Amber opposite them with her own mic. Buffy and Marty on stage opposite to TJ and Cyrus.
TJ strikes a piano chord, and with that, all heads turn and stare into the camera. And soon, with deadpan faces, everyone starts singing "She Cried".
And it's true. Cuz you're crying.
Fade to black. The end.

*clears throat* Andi Mack Holiday AU Andi Mack Holdiday AU Andi Mack Holiday AU (or if you were already asked about it I'd love to hear about/see a snippet of your Huntlow texting piece or your Andi Mack Miraculous AU)
Hiiii thanks for asking! Gosh I started the Holiday AU quite a while ago and kinda lost steam but I definitely want to revisit it some day! It begins with Andi living in LA having just recently broken up with Walker, and TJ living in Shadyside having recently broken up with Marty (though unlike the movie both breakups were amicable). Andi of course ends up meeting Amber on her trip and TJ ends up meeting Cyrus. Here's a snippet!
At that thought, Andi sat straight up in bed. “I need a vacation!” she shouted to the empty room. She hopped out of bed and reached for her laptop, quickly typing out the url for Jumble. Bex and Bowie had used Jumble for their honeymoon and couldn't stop praising it, now this was the perfect opportunity for Andi to try it herself.
The only problem was, Andi had no idea where she wanted to go. “Universe!” Andi called out as her dad often did, “Where should I go!?”
Andi sat for a minute waiting for a sign. Nothing happened. Not very seren-dope-ity. Andi rolled her eyes as dark walls stared back at her and fetched her coin purse. She figured it would be easiest to go somewhere in the United States so she wouldn't have to renew her passport. She’d simply flip a coin to decide what half of the country to look at and keep narrowing it down from there. Andi reached into the purse and pulled out a quarter, illuminated only by the light of her computer.
“Okay. Heads I go East. Tails I stay West,” she said to herself. But before Andi could flip the coin, the tails side caught her eye. Two trains faced each other in front of a mountain range, along with the words “Crossroads of the West.” It was a 2007 Utah state quarter.
“Utah,” Andi pondered in the dark. “Okay universe,” she said with a growing smile on her face.
The sound of TJ’s phone buzzing startled him as he was just falling asleep. He grabbed it annoyance before focusing on what was on his screen.
New notification from Jumble! tjk1996 has a new message from mackandi!
Any annoyance TJ was feeling completely vanished as he read mackandi’s message. A person--a real life person--actually wanted to visit Shadyside. And she was from Los Angeles no less! TJ was practically buzzing with excitement as he and his new match, Andi, chatted.
mackandi: so is shadyside relatively quiet? i'm looking for a relaxing getaway
tjk1996: super quiet! i promise no one will bother you except maybe my sister when she comes to water the plants
tjk1996: and for fun we have a nice park, a movie theater, and a flea market every weekend
tjk1996: oh also the spoon it's the best diner in the whole state
mackandi: sounds perfect!!!
tjk1996: so, when do you want to do this?
There was a pause before Andi's reply came in. TJ held his breath in anticipation.
mackandi: is tomorrow too soon?
I'll answer the other parts below the cut!
.
The Andi Mack miraculous au was an idea I had a while back, I actually did end up posting my design for Andi as Ladybug here! I didn't get as far with Chat Noir TJ though. Just a rough sketch!
Tumblr media
Unlike the show, this would NOT be a ladybug x chat noir romance, they're friends! In this AU I would give Cyrus the turtle, Buffy the tiger, Jonah the fox, Amber the snake, and Kira the bee. If there are any love square shenanigans it would be between TJ and Cyrus (TJ likes Cyrus as a civilian. Cyrus likes Chat Noir as a hero. They don't know each other's identities.) I'm not really sure who the villain would be though.
I think I might have posted my huntlow texting sketch before but I don't remember for sure so here it is again and the meme it's based on. The show has taken their relationship a lot further than it was when I started this, so I'm not sure if I will finish it one day or not. I still think they are cute though :)

I’m a little late, but Andi Mack literally ended two years ago, and that is like the craziest thing ever.
i’m still super appreciative of this fandom and everything that as a collective whole we’ve been through. we’ve had plenty of ups and down, but i feel like we all came together to try and save this incredible story, and although we didn’t, it still just showed how much of an impact this show had on us that we reached the head of Disney Channel and Hulu (I know Hulu was SICK of us lol)
but with that being said..
I have more news that might shock everybody, but as a person that has just graduated high school and having a very present understanding of the way in which it kind of works, I would like to put out a shocking statement…
I believe that TJ and Cyrus are no longer together (and most likely Buffy and Marty as well).
Now, in a perfect fictional world, yes they probably would still be together, but what are the chances that a relationship started in middle school would continue to go on strong in high school?
By now, the Mack gang are all going to be Juniors in high school, so they’re bound to have found new friends, new clubs, new organizations, and new opportunities, which sometimes sadly comes with a growing distance between people.
Now let’s look closely at this. Granted, they actually started dating the summer before freshman year, but still, I stand by my statement that they’re not together. It’s kind of like Connor and Jude’s situation in The Fosters, they were the only two gay people they knew, and because of that, they were bound to end up together. but now, having expanded their horizon to new people, I think they would’ve started to grow apart little by little until they realized that they didn’t have very much in common, as well as the relationship starting to drift apart.
With TJ playing basketball, and Cyrus possibly joining a film club of some sort, they just start to not have as much time together. TJ’s friends are total opposites of Cyrus’ so trying to hang as a group was basically out of the question. while they had Buffy and Jonah, that was kind of it (I didn’t include Andi cause technically she’s at that art school and i’m talking about hanging at school).
let’s also look at this in a hypothetical way. If Andi Mack was to have been picked up for another season on Hulu, they probably would’ve started filming in September of 2019 (let’s also pretend that none of the actors were busy with other work) and they take a few moths to film, so it would’ve ended production possibly in January or February of 2020 (before the pandemic) and maybe had a few setback in post production cause of Covid, but still, season 4 comes out in like May or June of 2020. Hulu usually releases all episodes at once, so we would’ve gotten to watch all however-many-episodes in a day or two. hooray, it did really good and we’re getting another season. Now, because we are face-plant in the middle of a pandemic, the show would probably be delayed for a good few month and not start production until let’s say October or November of 2020. they finish in March or April due to some more difficulties, but the new season would probably be airing soon, about August or September of this year. Knowing Andi Mack, they’re going to have to have some type of plot that’s going to come in between Tyrus, whether that be another person, or what I was talking about. There’s no way that Tyrus is just this rainbow-sunshine-happy couple that haven’t had any hardships and a possible break up at this point.
I’m betting that the breakup either happened somewhere in the midst of Sophmore year or the summer before junior year, but i’m going with the first option. I don’t think the breakup would’ve been bad, in fact, I think they would’ve both agreed that them breaking up was for the best. Now, usually exes don’t stay friends, but i’ll leave them as that since this is a children’s show we’re talking about. I think both of them would’ve moved on eventually, Cyrus probably dating some nerdy techie guy and TJ might be dating some closeted athlete (sorry but this is high school we’re talking about, and lowkey TJ might be closeted too seeing as he’s playing a very toxic masculine sport. Only the ones super close to him knew about his relationship with Cyrus)
same goes for Buffy and Marty. They already had their many ups and downs before they even started dating, and they would’ve a hundred percent broken up.
I also thing that the Mack gang wouldn’t be close anymore like they use to and they most definitely don’t hang out like the use to, but i’ll save that for another post haha.
That’s just sadly the real world, and for somebody who started with a whole ass group of friends at the beginning of high school to now really only having one close friend, I can for sure say that nothing stays the same from middle school. (i’m sure there are some friend groups from MS out there that are still friends, but it’s probably REALLY rare).
lol, hope y’all liked my TED talk.

season 4 of andi mack for:
-character development
• andi on not being selfish. she always goes over other people's feelings: bex, bowie, cyrus, jonah, etc. she's young and went through a lot of family and love life drama but she still needs to learn to think about other's feelings.
• cyrus. he's clearly insecure and buffy and andi dont really do anything about it? in my eyes at least. tj is already helping him on that :) i feel like cy needs to stand up for himself more and also not idolizing people (jonah)
• jonah. he is treated kinda bad by andi (her not really caring about his problems) but it does seem like he subconsciously use his relationship as coping mechanisms. i think him being single for a bit and working on himself, his anxiety, his feelings, his family, it would be a lot better for him.
•amber working on herself and what she did in the past to andi, jonah, etc. also focusing on her home life more.
• and more of course!
(personally i dont like kira like... at all so i don't even think of any redemption towards her honestly)
note: i love all of them, i think if they were actually CONFRONTED on their problems they would do their best to fix them
-relationships (tyrus, muffy+)
-ships (ambi, wonah+)
-friendships (cyrus and iris, tj and buffy, marty and tj, amber and cyrus, buffy and jonah, jonah and amber, jonah and cyrus, jonah and tj, KIPPEN SIBLINGS amber and tj, etc.)
•they (writers) should have let cyrus tell iris he was gay
-LGBTQ+
•coming out to parents/school/friends
•andi pan, amber realizing she is a lesbian, jonah bi
-old character comebacks
•reed and lester????
•iris, libby, walker, brittany?
-old rivals????? (maybe honestly idk if i can handle that torture again)
•kira
•rachel
-andi at sava! (walker-and maybe libby- there too?
-MORE SONGS PLEASE
-a lot more i cant type it all out right now
-healing the andi mack fandom please we are desperate and sad give us more content please--
ALL PERSONAL OPINIONS PLEASE DONT KILL ME OR SOMETHING >~<

what the andi mack characters are doing during quarantine
andi: she’s using this time to be making crafts and is giving out masks to her friends and family. she’s also making another project about racial stereotypes because of this virus
buffy: she says she’s not scared but is actually TERRIFIED and just wants to go outside
cyrus: in major panic mode. he will not stop washing his hands and is basically wearing a full on hazmat suit. he really misses his friends and is constantly wearing a hoodie of TJ’s
jonah: he is using this time to connect with his emotions and is learning more about himself and what he loves. he and his family have been watching old home videos to keep them sane and happy
cece: she is going HARDCORE! if anyone knocks on her door, she automatically sprays them with disinfectant and is also wearing what’s basically a hazmat suit
bex and bowie: they keep trying to make fun activities like themed dinners and mini living room concerts. they’ve also watched everything on netflix and disney+
TJ: he’s trying to convince cyrus to break quarantine because he really wants to cuddle and have a date but cyrus will not budge.
amber: she’s still working but wears a mask and gloves. she’s been quarantined with her toxic family which is really hard but she’s been using this time to try and get her parents to get along better, it’s not going too well but anything’s worth a shot
marty: i’m pretty sure he has the virus but won’t admit to it. he’s also breaking quarantine because i feel like he’s the type of person to do that.

Summer-Salt
word count: 4,657
summary: the past comes back to haunt TJ and Cyrus when Andi announces her big Halloween bash she’s planning.
tag list: @youve-cath-to-be-kitten-me
Happy Halloween everyone!! I hope you all enjoy this one-shot that’s been a long time coming :) Also this is unedited, so I apologize!
                                                             ...
“What did Andi’s text say again?” TJ questions as he gets tugged along the sidewalk by a persistent, fast-paced Cyrus.
“She just said something like, ‘Meet at The Spoon ASAP! It’s of the upmost importance!’” Cyrus replies, doing a terrible impression of her voice.
“First of all, I don’t think Andi says things like ‘of the upmost importance’! You’re the only one who uses words as fancy as that. Second, she definitely does not sound like that.”
Cyrus rolls his eyes, purposefully knocking his shoulder against TJ’s shoulder as they continue walking. TJ chuckles in response to his boyfriend’s antics, bumping his shoulder back. Meanwhile, Cyrus sticks his chin out defiantly before retaliating to TJ’s comments.
“I don’t use fancy words,” he debates, “I just prefer proper grammar when conversing with someone. Also, my accents and imitations are spot on, thank you very much.”
“Conversing with someone,” TJ snickers. “You’re adorable.”
Cyrus sputters, face reddening. “Is that all you got out of what I just said?!”
“Sorry, Underdog, I can’t help it. Honestly though, that impression was…not great. I would not have guessed Andi if I didn’t know who texted.”
“Who would you have guessed?”
“Uh…Jonah, maybe?”
Cyrus pretends to look offended, but he can’t keep his composure for long before descending into giggles. TJ smiles and laughs along with him, unable to resist the fluttery feeling that flows through him as a result of their bantering. When they officially announced their feelings for each other on the bench at Andi’s party a few months ago, TJ was terrified that things would change significantly between them. He worried that, like some of the stories you hear about, they were potentially ruining their friendship. His fears only intensified after their first, extremely awkward date. Thankfully, the initial awkwardness and tension between them faded rapidly after they both stopped placing so much pressure on themselves, and they quickly fell back into their normal routine with each other (except this time with their feelings toward each other known and reciprocated).
Now, TJ feels more at ease than ever. The conflict that was previously raging inside of him has simmered down, allowing him to be more comfortable in his skin than ever. And he knows that without Cyrus here, he would probably still be the Scary-Basketball-Guy that Cyrus first knew him as. Many times, TJ finds himself pondering what his life would be like if he never interacted with Cyrus. Although there’s no real way to know, TJ thinks that there’s no way he would have progressed this far. On days like those, TJ looks over at Cyrus to confirm that it’s all real; that everything that happened in the past months between them wasn’t just a sick, twisted dream.
“Come on, dork, we’re already running late!” Cyrus laughs, yanking on his hand with an even stronger grasp.
“If anything, you’re the dork with your big words,” TJ replies.
“Says Mr. I Know Every Line in Hamilton.”
“Of course I do! That play is more than just a play: It’s an experience!”
They stumble through the door of The Spoon a few seconds later, still calming down from their giggling. Immediately, they spot the group in their usual corner booth (the only booth in the entire diner big enough to fit their vastly expanding friend group). However, they also quickly notice that the group is lacking one key person. They make their way over to the others, hands still linked. Once they get over there, they take a seat beside Jonah, with Buffy and Marty sitting across from them.
“There are the lovebirds!” Buffy teases, something she says almost every time she sees the duo together now. Despite the frequency, TJ knows that both of them still blush slightly whenever she says it.
“Yeah, sorry we’re late. We were in the middle of a movie which turned into an impromptu nap,” Cyrus apologizes.
TJ adds on, “You mean your nap. I was still awake the whole time acting as your pillow!”
“Why are you so tired, man?” Marty asks Cyrus.
“Ugh, well it all started with our math teacher assigning a ridiculous amount of homework...” Cyrus begins, delving into the long story he told TJ just this morning over text. TJ couldn’t understand how he typed it out so fast, either, but he had a feeling that Cyrus had just loaded up on coffee, causing the crash he witnessed just a little bit ago.
As Cyrus recounts his story, TJ zones out a bit. Instead, he focuses on the way Cyrus’s eyes light up avidly, hands swishing around and almost hitting TJ in the face a few times. His exuberance is contagious, as TJ finds himself unable to prevent the beam from spreading across his face alongside the others.
“That sucks,” Jonah comments once the story is over. “I hope you can actually get some sleep soon.”
“Me too,” Cyrus sighs, slumping over in his seat. “When I get home, I’m going to take another nap I think.”
“That sounds great if Andi would ever get here,” Buffy frowns, checking the time on her phone again. “She texted nearly half an hour ago saying it was so urgent, yet she isn’t even here yet!”
“What do you think the text was about, anyway?” Jonah wonders, to which everyone at the table shrugs.
Before they can continue on their conversation, Andi finally arrives. She bursts through the door, nearly tripping and falling before a certain blonde waitress steadies her. In Andi’s arms is a gigantic container teeming with what appears to be random objects. TJ is amazed that everything managed to stay inside the container despite her stumble. With Amber in tow, the two of them come up to the booth. Amber stands off to Andi’s side warily as she carries the teetering container. Finally, Andi drops it down onto the floor with an echoing thud. She huffs, wiping her hands of on her jeans before offering everyone an apologetic smile.
“Sorry, it took me longer than I thought to lug this here,” Andi states, squeezing into the booth beside everyone.
“Amber, thank goodness you’re here--” Cyrus sighs in relief.
Amber smiles at him, “Wow Cyrus, that’s really sweet of you to say!”
“—I need baby taters right now. It’s a matter of life and death itself!”
Amber rolls her eyes, flipping out her notebook and scribbling baby taters down. Cyrus, on the other hand, goes as white as a ghost, suddenly terrified that he offended her. After all, she appears furious.
“I’m sorry, Amber! I am really glad you’re here, even without the baby tater part.”
Amber’s expression morphs from one of anger to one of humor in an instant. She waves it off. “It’s fine, Cyrus. I know. Also, I already started your baby taters right when I saw you come in. I’ll go get them right now”
“You’re amazing.”
Andi clears her throat, calling the attention back to her. “Sorry, but this is really important.”
“I’m still confused,” Jonah admits, peering over the table at the container on the floor. “What exactly is this all for?”
“You’re kidding, right? Don’t you know what day it is?”
“October 3rd,” TJ offers, descending into snickers with Cyrus and the others.
“No, seriously. Do none of you remember?” Andi asks with disbelief, looking over all the individual members of the table.
“Uh…is it someone’s birthday?” Jonah asks, stilling. “Wait, is it my birthday?!”
A frustrated sigh escapes Andi’s lips. “No, Jonah, your birthday was a few months ago. Guys, it’s officially one week before Halloween!”
TJ frowns, having completely forgotten about the holiday coming up so soon. He supposes that he’s just been so preoccupied with his first year of high school as well as his relationship with Cyrus that he just forgot. Not to mention, he’s been swamped with homework recently to prepare for midterms, so all he’s had on his mind have been math formulas and history dates. Basketball has also been taxing this year; finding his spot on the team with new dynamics has been difficult. As he glances over at Cyrus, he looks just as shocked to remember about Halloween. TJ knows for a fact that Cyrus has been working nonstop recently for all his honors classes he’s been taking this semester.
“Oh,” Buffy states, summing up pretty much what all of them are currently thinking.
“Oh? Just…oh?! You all forgot about Halloween, one of the best holidays of the year!” Andi groans, throwing her hands up in frustration.
“We didn’t forget…we just temporarily spaced it out. After all, Grant Highschool isn’t as decorative and festive as Sava. I think the few spiderwebs they put up at the beginning of the month were torn down within a few days.”
“It looks like we have more work to do than I thought.”
At that moment, Amber returns with the baby taters. Cyrus immediately starts inhaling them, smacking TJ’s hand away when he tries to steal one. Amber then declares she’s on her break before pulling up an extra chair to the end of the booth right beside Andi’s massive container full of miscellaneous objects.
“Work for what?” Amber asks, trying to figure out what she missed.
“The greatest Halloween party ever,” Andi finally announces dramatically.
Cyrus rubs his hands together in excitement. “Another famous Andi Mack party!”
“But this one has to be better than all the last ones,” Andi replies. “It’s even higher stakes now than before. That’s why I’m enlisting all of your help to make sure that it’s going to be an awesome party.”
“What do we need to help with?” Buffy asks.
Andi smirks, reaching down to grab a huge list out of the container full of party ideas. She places it on the table in front of them so they can all read it. Then, she flicks out her duct tape pen, poised to write some more.
“This sounds…amazing!” Cyrus gapes, reading over the list. “Are you sure you need our help? I think this is perfect already.”
“I just need a few things from you all,” Andi begins, “First, Jonah and TJ, I need you two working on putting together a Halloween playlist. I need Amber’s help with setting all the decorations up because Bex and I will never get it done on our own. I also need Buffy and Cyrus to pick up a bunch of stuff at the store for me before the party. Also, bring Marty to get some decent snacks, because I know the two of you would just pick a bunch of gross health foods. But, most importantly, we have to have the best Halloween costumes!”
“Well, what are you going to be?” Buffy wonders, hoping for some inspiration.
Andi shakes her head and mimics a zipper along her lips. “It’s a surprise! But just know it’s going to be amazing! So, I need you all to dress up, too.”
Jonah raises his hand, “Can my costume be Boy Who Plays Guitar?”
“Ugh, yeah, that’s fine,” Andi sighs, knowing she shouldn’t force him to get involved in a more intricate costume. “But I expect great things from everyone else!”
“Don’t worry, I already have the best idea for a couple’s costume for Marty and I,” Buffy gushes.
Marty frowns, nudging her side, “But what if I already had a great idea.”
Buffy looks at him, unimpressed. “Let’s hear it then.”
“I was thinking we could each be a shoe! You be the right, I’ll be the left. We’re a pair, get it?”
Everyone looks at him, unamused, besides for Jonah who laughs at almost everything. Buffy shakes her head in disappointment.
“I was thinking more along the lines of a childhood TV show throwback, like Velma and Shaggy,” Buffy offers.
“You watched Scooby Doo?” TJ asks incredulously, causing Buffy to cross her arms at him.
“You say that as if you don’t still watch it,” Buffy retorts which TJ chuckles at, hands raised up in surrender.
“I’ll go as Princess Peach,” Amber declares, smiling at Andi softly. “After all, I have to look my best for the coolest party in town.”
Andi coughs abruptly, cheeks turning red as she looks over to the remaining two people. “TJ? Cyrus? Can I count on you two?”
TJ glances over at Cyrus, but finds that the other boy is staring down at his lap instead. Since Buffy and Marty are doing a couple’s costume, he assumes that him and Cyrus will do one, too. After all, they’re officially a couple now, as in they’re out at school and to their parents. Plus, matching costumes on Halloween are the pinnacle for couples; it’s usually just expected that you’ll match if you’re dating. So, TJ goes to answer Andi, saying that he and Cyrus will think of a creative couple’s costume.
Before he can respond, though, Cyrus blurts out, “I think my step-dad has an old jumpsuit that I could turn into a ghostbusters costume.”
Across the table, Buffy meets TJ’s eyes, surprise evident in her expression. TJ is also surprised. Why doesn’t Cyrus want to do a costume with him? He frowns, reaching for Cyrus’s hand again but finds that Cyrus moved them both into his pockets. In fact, not only Buffy seems surprised by Cyrus’s decision, but no one comments on it. Andi simply offers him a smile before looking over at TJ.
“What about you, TJ?” she asks.
TJ bites his lip and shrugs. He spares one last glance at Cyrus, who is pointedly looking anywhere but at him. “I’ll figure something cool out, I’m sure.”
The rest of the time talking about the party goes by painstakingly slow for TJ. Cyrus seems to liven back up and get into the conversation, but he still casts his eyes away when TJ looks at him. TJ hates the tension between them at the moment. Although they’re squished up against each other’s sides, TJ still feels like he’s miles away from Cyrus. Normally, TJ and Cyrus have this connection, this spark between them, but right now it’s fizzled out. TJ can’t decipher Cyrus’s emotions as he covers them up behind robotic laughter and half-smiles. Normally, Cyrus is expressive and easy to read; however, TJ just can’t figure out what’s going through his head in that moment. Is he mad at TJ for assuming that they’d do a couple’s costume? Why would he be mad about that, though, since they are a couple?
Finally, after forever, the group goes to dismantle for the day and do their respective tasks. Cyrus slides out of the booth, getting ready to walk home with Jonah, but TJ catches his wrist before he leaves.
“Can we talk for a second?” TJ questions.
Cyrus purses his lips before nodding, sitting back down at the booth as Jonah follows the others to wait outside for him. Now, it’s just the two of them alone together. Based on Cyrus’s lack of chattiness, TJ has a feeling that Cyrus knows why he stopped him.
“Why don’t you want to do a couple’s costume with me? I mean, we are a couple, right? Or do you not want to be—”
“Of course we’re a couple, Teej,” Cyrus promises, grasping his hand resting on his lap with a comforting squeeze.
TJ smiles, feeling at least a bit more relieved but also more confused. “I-I don’t understand, then. I just figured since Buffy and Marty are doing a couple’s costume that, y’know, we would do one, too.”
The smile drops off Cyrus’s face as he lets out a deep sigh. He rubs the back of his neck with a ducked head as he tries to think of what to say. TJ begins to run through all the possible reasons Cyrus is acting this way. The shaking leg, uncomfortable gait, inability to explain himself, the dejected look on his face…
“I’m sorry, just after Costume Day—” Cyrus stammers, voice shaking. “I just can’t.”
TJ’s heart drops in his chest. “Cy, I would never do that again, I swear. I’m sorry.”
“I-I know, really, but I still can’t get over that feeling I had on Costume Day. And then before with Jonah…I don’t know how to explain it, but I just can’t match with you. I’m sorry.”
Then, Cyrus stands up abruptly, barely even flinching as his knee hits the edge of the table. He checks the time on his phone, then looks out the window at where Jonah is still waiting. TJ stands up beside him, not wanting to leave things like this.
“I understand,” TJ finally whispers, staring at his shoes.
Cyrus smiles wearily, although the usual twinkle present in his eyes has vanished. “I’ll see you later.”
“Yeah.”
Cyrus offers another quick hand squeeze before jogging out the door to catch up with Jonah. Meanwhile, TJ is left there frozen, still contemplating everything that just occurred.
TJ knew that he hurt Cyrus, and he still feels guilty about it every day, but he never knew that his actions had that huge of an impact on Cyrus. Thinking about it now, it seems stupid that TJ didn’t think about it before. At first, TJ got upset with the idea that Cyrus thought he would bail again. After all, things are so different, now, and Cyrus knows that. But then, as TJ thinks about it more and more, he begins to understand. That look of dejection Cyrus had earlier, it matched the look on Costume Day. Cyrus trusted him, and he betrayed his trust. But how can TJ even begin to think of winning it back? TJ knows for certain that he can’t just forget about this or it may forever be a hole in their relationship that grows wider and wider each day. He just worries that there’s nothing he can ever do to fix this. After all, he’s already apologized numerous times. What else could he possibly do?
Lunch at school during the next week is more awkward than normal. Although he and Cyrus still act like a couple, holding hands and kissing each other’s cheeks, TJ can’t get over that subtle feeling of tautness between them. It’s like their relationship is a stretched rubber band about to snap. TJ can tell Cyrus feels it, too. In fact, Cyrus has been acting a bit off all the time since the day at The Spoon. He’s been a bit less talkative, although to most people it would seem like nothing is wrong. Andi isn’t really around enough because of SAVA to notice the tiny differences, while Jonah and Marty aren’t clued into Cyrus’s coping strategies. Buffy seems to be the only one scrutinizing Cyrus when he’s not looking. Every late laugh and quiet spell sends Buffy looking at him strangely. She begins to piece it together rather quick, as she notices TJ’s awkward looks on more than one occasion.
Soon, it’s the day before Halloween, and TJ is feeling more down in the dumps than ever. After school that day, he finds himself in one of the places that relieves his stress the most: the basketball courts. He would normally go to the swings, but he doesn’t want to have to face Cyrus there before he can think of some way to make up for everything. Frustration leaks out of him as he shoots the basketball at the hoop with exceeding aggressiveness. He’s not mad at Cyrus at all but rather himself. If he wasn’t such a coward that day, maybe things would be different. Kira coming into the equation just threatened to ruin everything between them, and they’re obviously still reaping the repercussions of her manipulation today. He grunts as he heaves the ball at the hoop as hard as he can, not even caring as it bounces off the backboard and skitters along the pavement. His heartbeat thrums in his ears, and he crouches down to try and calm himself. He squeezes his eyes shut for a moment, hand running through his sweaty hair.
“TJ?” A familiar voice asks. “Are you okay?”
TJ opens his eyes to see Buffy standing over him with a mild look of concern on her face. His first instinct is to snap back with the classic “I’m fine” method. That definitely worked for him before. He could also pretend like nothing was wrong, going back to playing basketball like normal, but Buffy would see right through that. Then, he thinks about how much he’s changed in just the past couple of months. Blocking things out or covering them up is a common tactic that the old TJ used, but he’s better than that now.
“I don’t know,” TJ admits timidly, dropping from his crouch until he’s completely sitting on the pavement. Buffy hesitates for a moment before sitting down beside him.
“You can talk to me, you know. I know we’re not super close, but you’ve grown on me, Kippen.”
TJ cracks a smile. “Thanks, but I don’t think anyone can help me with this one.”
“Try me.”
Not wanting to go into too much detail, TJ says vaguely, “I apologized to Cyrus for something, and even though he says it’s okay, it’s obviously not. I just don’t know what to do.”
Although there’s hardly any context behind any of it, Buffy appears as if she knows quite a bit more about the situation than she’s letting on. Still, she doesn’t press TJ for more information or even badger him for what he did to Cyrus.
“Apologies are hard, sometimes,” she admits. “I definitely struggle with them a lot of times. But…I’ve found it’s not really the actual words that count, it’s your actions.”
“Your actions…” TJ trails off, a lightbulb suddenly going off in his head. “Actions speak louder than words. That actually helped a lot Buffy, thank you.”
Buffy smiles, “Anytime, TJ. But also, do we have to keep calling each other by our first names? I have to admit, it’s kind of weird.”
“Agreed.”
With a determined look on her face, Buffy jumps up from the ground. She goes over to retrieve the abused basketball from the grass and tucks it under her arm. Then, she walks back over to TJ and offers a hand down to him. “So, Kippen, care for me to beat you at a game of one-on-one?”
TJ chuckles, taking it and letting her haul him to his feet. “In your dreams, Driscoll!”
As he plays, he feels lighter than before. He knows what he needs to do.
The next night, TJ arrives at the party just as it’s getting into full swing. It certainly seems to be a hit so far, with what seems like almost all of the students at Grant Highschool coming out to enjoy her party. Even from the outside, the house is decorated head to toe for Halloween, with crafty, spun spiderwebs hung from every corner and giant spiders creeping along them. Strands of Halloween lights illuminate the front yard in an eerie green color, while smoke from what TJ assumes are smoke machines leak out from the door and window cracks inside.
At the last second before stepping into the party, TJ rethinks his entire plan. What if Cyrus still doesn’t forgive him after this? What if Cyrus can never trust him the same way again? TJ doesn’t know if he could stand that. This needs to work. He needs to make this right. As Buffy made him realize, actions speak louder than words, and this is definitely making a statement. With a deep breath, he enters the house.
Inside is even more crazy and spooky. Almost everyone is dressed up in amazing Halloween costumes. Music blasts over the speakers which everyone dances with in excitement. Paper Mache ghosts and ghouls hang from the ceiling, lit up by colorful lights. Carved pumpkins line one wall, and there’s a place to bob for apples. Marty and Buffy are already over there competing, dressed up in their Shaggy and Velma costumes like they planned, although Buffy seems to be getting annoyed by her plastic glasses as she keeps having to push them up her nose. A huge table is lined with spooky punch and a gaggle of monstrous snacks. He has a feeling that Cyrus had a lot to do with some of the baked goods, as he knows how seriously Cyrus takes good presentation.
“TJ?” Andi speaks from behind him, voice just barely audible over the noise of the party. He turns, taking in her costume. She’s dressed as Mulan, and it’s obvious that her costume is hand made because it’s much more beautiful and realistic than any costume. She has a variety of fancy clips in her hair, along with a fake sword tucked into her belt. Amber stands beside her in her Princess Peach outfit, complete with the huge poufy dress and everything.
“Andi,” he breathes, “Great costume! You too, Amber.”
She looks him over with a knowing smirk. “Cyrus is in the backyard.”
TJ blushes, trying to come up with a good response but can’t think of anything. Amber and Andi giggle together before heading the opposite direction, patting him on the shoulders as they go. TJ figures that it’s now or never.
He heads outside where only a few people linger, one of them being Cyrus. He’s sulking in his costume on the very bench they sat at just a few months prior, except the fire is extinguished and replaced with giant pumpkins. TJ pads up behind him.
“You’re missing the party,” TJ states nervously.
Cyrus turns his head, and his eyes widen a comical amount as he takes in the familiar look TJ is sporting. TJ’s wearing the very Salt costume that Cyrus was wearing on Costume Day, colander and all. He looks and feels ridiculous, but he’d wear it for the next week if it meant Cyrus would forgive him.
“You…” Cyrus stutters, still in shock.
“I know that I really hurt you on Costume Day, and I know I needed to make it right somehow. Then, Buffy kind of told me how actions speak louder than words, and I hoped that maybe this would speak for itself?”
Cyrus stands, and a flash of fear courses through TJ as he worries that Cyrus will simply leave again. However, he actually does the exact opposite, and takes a step closer to TJ. They’re so close that they can see each other’s breaths in the cold air. Cyrus reaches up to adjust the colander on TJ’s head so it’s not tipping to one side. TJ quirks his lips up at Cyrus, relief washing over him.
“I can’t believe you did this for me,” Cyrus whispers.
“I’d do it again,” TJ promises. “And again. And again. I just needed you to know how much you really mean to me and how truly sorry I am.”
Dark eyes peer up at him, barely visible past his metal hat. “How could I not forgive anyone who’s willing to wear a colander on his head for me?”
TJ shares a grin with Cyrus. They find themselves inching closer to each other until finally Cyrus brushes his lips against TJ’s own in a soft, loving kiss. TJ relaxes at Cyrus’s touch, and things feel right again between them.
“I’m pretty sure Andi has some kind of cheesy beach shirt here,” Cyrus mentions breathlessly when they separate.
It takes TJ a second before it clicks. “Are you sure? You really don’t have to.”
Cyrus strokes TJ’s cheek with his thumb. “I want to match with you.”
And when Cyrus descends from upstairs wearing a pair of too small flipflops, a oversized beach hat, basketball shorts, and a completely unmatching Hawaiian-themed shirt, TJ can’t hold back his grin. This is how it should’ve been all along, and TJ hates that it took him so long to make up for it. At least now he can say that Summer-Salt is still their thing.

Love Online - An Ambi Oneshot
Hi @a-bittersweet-gal!
I got you for the multifandom gift exchange! Sorry this is a day late, my schooling has been making me busy these last few weeks and I didn’t get a chance to write this right away haha (I sat down and wrote this in an hour today- so hopefully its still good) I hope you enjoy it! ~Caroline Nora
"Welcome to Love Online! The service for all your matchmaking needs!" Amber looked at the slogan on her brother's website once more, sighing and rolling over on her bed. Her phone was bright in her hands, the only light in her dark room. It was the third day this week she had found herself stalking the page late at night, but it's not like she was going to do anything about it.
It had taken TJ months to get her to agree to sign up for Tinder a few months ago (not to mention all of the girls she’d met hadn't stuck around), there was no way she was going to put herself out there like this. She sat up, throwing her phone down. Peeling herself from her sweaty sheets, she pushed her hair out of her face and walked out of her bedroom. Walking down the hall to the bathroom, she could hear her brother still up in his room a few doors down.
She turned the sink on, splashing some cold water onto her face. Wiping her face on the hand towel, she walked out of the room and knocked on her brother's door.
"Come in!" TJ called out to her, and she slowly pushed the door open. He was sitting on FaceTime with his boyfriend Cyrus, both with big smiles on their faces. "What's up?"
"I can't sleep." He laughs, raising an eyebrow at her.
"That sounds like a personal problem. Cy and I were just talking about how we need to wife you up." Cyrus bursts into laughter, waving at Amber.
"Hey Ambs. And we were? I don't remember that," TJ shushes him and Amber sighs, leaving. There's only so long she can deal with them for. But TJ's right, she really has been single for too long. If she could just get the courage to ask Andi out, maybe it wouldn't be as big of a problem- but she's been stuck in the friend zone for years.
Walking back into her room, she flops back down on her bed and picks up her phone again. She looks at the website once more, the button to fill out the matchmaking form calling out to her. And there, at almost midnight on a Friday, Amber Kippen presses ‘Find Me A Match’.
. . .
Andi had filled out the form weeks ago. She had crossed her fingers that Cyrus and TJ would help her get another shot with Amber, but she quickly started to realize that wasn’t going to happen when the boys turned her down. It wasn’t that they were against Amber and Andi being together- in fact they were both very for it- but every time TJ had tried to set Amber up on a date, it hadn’t gone well.
Andi Mack had been in love with her best friend for nearly three years, but luckily Amber had no clue. She had dealt with Amber’s many failed dates, short relationships, and one night stands for what felt like forever. All of their friends knew and had tried setting them up several times, but nothing had ever worked- solely because Amber wasn’t into Andi. Every time Andi had a date she was always so excited for her, doing her makeup and her hair and telling her it was going to go amazing. Every time Andi would come back from the date saying it went horrible, Amber would look genuinely upset.
But Andi hadn’t given up on her feelings. She would take them to her grave if she had to, would watch Amber get married to another petite Asian girl and would be Amber’s maid of honor. Would sulk in her sadness as they had lots of perfect children and be happy and- Andi was spiraling.
When her phone ringing at midnight woke her up, she groggily answered at Amber’s caller ID. “Hey, babes, what’s up?”
“Bambi, I’ve made a big mistake,” Andi sat straight up, suddenly wide awake. Her best friend sounded worried- and she always has time for Amber’s late night worries.
“Well, what’d you do?” She giggles, pushing her hair out of her eyes and turning on her light next to her bed. “I’m sure you didn’t royally fuck up that badly.”
Amber groans. “But I did. I may or may not have signed up for TJ and Cy’s matchmaking thing,” Andi bursts into laughter, holding her stomach. “Stop, it’s not that funny!”
“You did what? Amber Kippen? Signing up for a dating website voluntarily? I never thought I’d see the day! Who are you into?” Amber goes silent and Andi knows she’s said the wrong thing. “It’s okay, you don’t have to tell me.”
“It’s just- you know her really well.” Amber mumbles. Andi thinks through their friends, trying to think who Amber could possibly be into.
“Oh my gosh, Iris? Or- no no no, Libby! You’re into Libby aren’t you! You both dated Jonah, it would make sense!”
“Oh, uh, yeah! I’m into Libby.” Amber stutters back. Andi’s happy for Amber, she really is. She understands, she was into Libby at one point too.
“That’s awesome! I signed up for Love Online too! Maybe we’ll both get significant others at the same time! We could go on double dates!”
“Yeah, awesome. I’m actually really tired, Andi. I’ll talk to you in the morning,” Before Andi can answer, Amber has already hung up. What’d she done wrong?
. . .
How could Andi think she was into Libby? Yeah, Libby’s sweet and all, but she wasn’t her type at all. Granted, her type is a cute girl with short dark hair named Andi, but that was beside the point. Amber looks over as her phone lights up, expecting it to be some sort of half-assed apology text from Andi for something she doesn’t know she did. She scrambles to grab her phone as it’s a new group chat with Cyrus and TJ called Match #237: Operation Ambi. There’s a singular text in it from TJ with the words “About time you finally fessed up to being into Andi” and Amber laughs to herself.
She sends a quick text back, saying, “shut up. it’s not like you two got together super fast either” before rolling over in bed. She receives a quick “touche” back from Cyrus before sending them another message.
“so how do you guys do all this? it’s not like she exactly likes me,,,” She receives a long text back about how Cyrus and TJ will set up friendly hangouts with the two of them as a friend group before finally setting them up on a date a few weeks later, and even though that doesn’t sound so bad, it doesn’t explain her question of how. “she still needs to like me for it to work though”
“Oh she’ll fall for you, just you wait and see” TJ responds, and at that Amber rolls her eyes and goes to sleep.
. . .
Andi has started to think that maybe TJ and Cyrus decided to go through with her request of setting her and Amber without telling her. They keep on asking if the four of them can hang out- which she has no problem with- but it’s just a little bit odd. She decides to confront Cyrus about it a few weeks after it starts because they wouldn’t just do it without telling her, right? She walks up next to him in the hall, asking, “Are you trying to set me and Amber up?”
He stops dead in his tracks, turning towards her. “What do you mean?”
“You know, how I asked you and TJ to set us up about two months ago and now you’re doing something about it? I know how your service works, I was there the entire time you set up Buffy and Marty. And how come you’re focusing on my request if Amber asked you guys to set up her and Libby?” Cyrus laughs, looking confused.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa. Amber asked us to set up her and Libby? Since when?”
“That’s what she told me! We were talking and we said we both filled out the form. She said she asked about Libby.” Cyrus frowns.
“We aren’t setting Amber up with Libby. But we’re not focusing on your request either. Figure it out.” He then walked away, leaving her alone and confused in the middle of the hallway.
. . .
It was the big night. Amber and Andi were supposed to meet the boys at some nice restaurant, but they just weren’t going to show up. Amber was going to ask Andi out tonight. She looked at herself in her mirror, smoothing down her dress. She’d picked it out specifically because she thought Andi would like it, but she was honestly terrified. She walked into TJ’s room where he and Cyrus were hanging out, but they both went silent when they saw her. “Wow, Ambs, you look gorgeous,”
She blushed, looking down at her feet. “Thanks, Cy. Hopefully Andi won’t be able to tell how scared I am.”
“Go get your girl, sis,” TJ smiled. “Now get out, we were in the middle of something.” All three of them laughed as Amber walked out, ready for the biggest rejection of her life.
God, she hoped this would go well.
. . .
Andi was sitting at the table alone when she heard Amber’s voice. “Is this seat taken?” She looked up to see her best friend standing alone and she shook her head.
“No, I’m not sure when TJ and Cyrus are gonna show up though,” Amber giggled, avoiding eye contact with her.
“They’re, uh, not. It’s just us tonight,” Andi frowned. “I hope that’s not a problem,” Amber quickly added.
“No, not at all, I’m just confused. What’s going on here Amber?”
“Well, it looks like me and you are going to have a nice dinner where I insist I buy your meal and then you ask ‘Is this a date?’ and I say ‘I don’t know do you want it to be?’ and then we have a really good time and I drive you home and then when I’m dropping you off at your door I ask you to be my girlfriend and…” Amber trails off, realizing what she’s just said. “Shit, I really just spilled my entire plan, didn’t I?”
Both girls burst into laughter. “So when you said that the girl you wanted to ask out was someone I knew well it wasn’t because it was a friend of mine, it was because it was me?” Amber nods.
“Are you disappointed?”
“Oh god no! Amber I- I’ve been into you since our freshman year.” Amber goes silent as tears slowly fill her eyes. “Oh my god, did I say something wrong?”
“No, I just wish you’d said something sooner. Four years?” Andi nods. “God, Bambi, how did you survive me going on dates all that time? Why did you keep on going on dates?”
“Because I didn’t think I had a chance,” Amber reaches across the table, taking Andi’s hand in hers.
“You definitely do.”

If Andi Mack were a Skam Remake:
Andi Mack would Be Eva. Her story in this show has to do with her relationship with a boy who she ends up just being friends with.
Tumblr media
Buffy Driscoll would be Noora. She is fierce, and will always stand up for female empowerment, and she isn’t shy when it comes to defending people who hurt her friends. She’s shy with her vulnerable side, but with the right people she’s able to let herself show her emotions.
Tumblr media
Cyrus Goodman would be Isak. We first learn about this characters sexuality because he has a crush on his friend, one that will always be non reciprocated. Later on we meet a new potential love interest and he falls hard. They are very good for each other and bring out the best parts of the other.
Tumblr media
Jonah Beck would be Jonas. He is introduced as Andis love interest, and they decide not to date but instead be friends. He’s loving, caring, and a really good friend. When Cyrus comes out to him he’s supportive and happy for him.
Tumblr media
Marty would be William. He is Buffy’s love interest. She isn’t willing to admit her feeling for him at first, even when he’s made it clear that he really likes her. Eventually she confesses his feelings and they get together.
Tumblr media
Tj Kippen would be Even. He is Cyrus’ love interest. At first we think he’s nothing but a confident type of guy, but as we get to know him we’re shown that he has a lot going on in his mind and many more layers than we’re initially shown.
Tumblr media
Amber would be Ingrid. She’s the girl that Jonah was in a relationship with before Andi. At the beginning, her and Andi dislike each other, but eventually they become really good friends.
Tumblr media
Iris would be Emma. She’s the girl that Cyrus dates when he’s trying to repress his sexuality. She pushes him to be real with himself instead of fake with her.
Tumblr media
Kira would be Sonja. She’s the girl that takes up a lot of Tjs time, and makes Cyrus jealous. She is a mean person that no one likes.
Tumblr media
I was was really surprised with how well the Andi Mack characters fit into the Skam story, especially since the three main characters fit so well with the central characters of the first three seasons.

Hi!! Can you do a jealousy fic with Tyrus?? I love jealous Cyrus, especially when girls are flirting with his man. Thanks!!!
Not my best work, to be honest, but I tried!
(A/N: I’m not taking any prompt requests at the moment as I am putting all my energy and inspiration to finishing the remaining ones in my inbox. Thank you for your understanding!)
…..
Sneakers squeaked loudly against the wooden maple, accompanied by the loud bouncing of basketballs and yells of sweaty teenage boys.
On the bleachers, Cyrus sat with Buffy, watching the players. Well, he was watching one player while Buffy had her attention on another.
“Come on, Marty!” Buffy yelled. “That shot was open! Get your head in the game!”
The player flashed her a quick but amused glance and a saucy wink before turning his attention back to the practice.
Cyrus chuckled and shook his head. “You guys just can’t contain the flirting, huh?”
Turning into a light shade of pink, Buffy huffed. “You’re one to talk, Cyrus.”
“T.J. and I don’t flirt while he’s busy practicing.”
Buffy snorted before pointing at the court. “Oh yeah? What about that?”
Cyrus turned his head to see that T.J. had slowed down as he looked in their direction. Catching Cyrus’ eye, he grinned and waved.
It was Cyrus’ turn to blush and Buffy snorted, knowingly.
As he returned the gesture and waved back at T.J., his eye caught sight of another person down on the bleachers.
Like Cyrus and Buffy, she had been showing up at the boys’ basketball team practices for the last 2 weeks. Cyrus had never seen her before so he figured she must be new to the school and may have a friend or a boyfriend on the team like they did.
But… wait… why did she just wave at T.J.?!?!
Out on the court, T.J. noticed her too and gave her a polite wave back and smile before running to catch up with the other players.
With a raised brow, Cyrus watched as the girl let out a loud dreamy (dreamy?!) sigh, her head following T.J.’s course as the teen ran up and down the court.
His stomach clenched.
Now, Cyrus was never the jealous type. There were very rare instances when he was (like when he and Andi started liking Jonah at the same time back in the 7th grade and when T.J. started hanging out with Kira back in the 8th grade).
But, he easily got over those. (Okay, Kira took a little more time but seeing as T.J. no longer hung out with her, Cyrus was relieved.)
And, he certainly did not get jealous of girls he didn’t even know, even if they clearly found his boyfriend attractive, too. In fact, a lot of girls and guys at Grant High did.
No. He was definitely not jealous.
“Who is she?” his traitorous voice spoke out before he could stop it.
It took Buffy a few seconds to find out who he was talking about. She scrunched her brows. “I don’t know. Probably new. She’s been hanging around here.”
Cyrus already knew that. As he continued to stare at the back of the girl’s head, he couldn’t help but mentally scold himself.
He had nothing to worry about. He was just letting old insecurities take over his rational mind. Maybe this girl was just being nice.
Great, now, he just felt guilty.
“Oh, I think they’re taking a break, now,” stated Buffy.
Cyrus tore his gaze away from the unknown girl to see the players heading for their bags, including T.J.
Fulfilling his boyfriend duties, Cyrus opened his own school bag to take out the bag of granola bars he had brought for T.J. – they were the blonde’s favorites.
He and Buffy began to stand so they could greet T.J. and Marty but Cyrus’ gaze caught the girl again.
She had left her seat on the bleachers to run down the steps… heading towards where T.J. was taking a drink from his water bottle. Cyrus’ eye twitched and his hand flew to stop Buffy from moving. “Wait. Hold on.” Gently grasping her wrist, he sat them back down again.
“What’s wrong?” his best friend asked, confused.
Cyrus just continued to stare and following his gaze, Buffy realized what caught his attention.
“Oh. What’s going on over there?”
“That’s what I want to find out,” Cyrus answered, strangely calm despite the turmoil churning in his stomach.
………
When the team paused practice so they could take their break, T.J. expected Cyrus to come running down the bleachers with a treat for him, like he always did.
So, when he heard footsteps behind him, his smile widened as he spun around, ready to greet his boyfriend.
Instead, the person standing in front of him was the nervous-looking girl from the bleachers he had waved at earlier when she waved at him.
“Oh, hi,” he greeted, politely.
“Hi, T.J.,” she responded, immediately. “It’s T.J., right?”
He nodded. “Yeah, and you’re…” He wracked his brains for the right name. “Diana? You’re in my Math class.”
“Yep! That’s me! Diana! From Math class!” she giggled, nervously.
T.J. resisted the urge to roll his eyes as that was rude and she was just being friendly.
And where was Cyrus?! He said he was bringing him his favorite granola bar!
Before he could look up at the bleachers to look for him, the girl – Diana – was talking again.
“You looked great out there! I mean, all of you, guys! Grant really does have an awesome basketball team!”
T.J. grinned, always happy about any compliment about the team. “Thanks! We’ve been working our butts off so we can win the first game of the season. I hope you can come.”
Seeing the seats filled up had always given T.J. a thrill, especially if he could spot Cyrus among the crowd. Though, it was hard to miss the brunette because he always had a giant sign and yelled out the loudest when T.J. had the ball.
“I… I definitely will!” Diana replied, happily as she pushed some hair behind her ear.
“So, any reason why you’re here? Not that we don’t appreciate an audience!” He chuckled. “Some of the guys get pumped up when there’s someone watching. They like to show off.”
“Uh, no reason, really.” Diana began to fidget with a piece of curly hair hanging from her shoulder. “I just really like basketball.”
“Oh, cool. Do you play?”
Maybe he could recruit her to try out for the girls’ basketball team.
“A little.”
“Nice! You should try out for the girls’ team!”
He looked up at the bleachers, scanning until he found Cyrus and Buffy, still sitting and just… watching him. Weird. What were they waiting for? Marty was probably wondering why Buffy wasn’t paying attention to him.
Lifting a hand, he called out, “Hey, Buffy! Come down here! There’s someone you should meet! You too, Cyrus!”
He turned back to Diana, whose smile had fallen just a bit. Again, weird, but he didn’t pay it much attention.
“Buffy is in the girls’ basketball team,” he explained. “Tryouts ended a couple of weeks ago but I’m sure if you talk to her, she can put in a good word for you with the Captain and the Coach to give you a chance.” He grinned. “She and I played for the same team back in Jefferson until she made her own girls’ team and became Captain.”
“Oh, that’s nice.” Diana bit her lip. “Is she your…girlfriend?” she asked, softly.
T.J. almost recoiled at the question but before he could deny it, a loud, “No way! I have standards!”
Smirking at the approaching Buffy, he retorted, “You’re no apple of my eye either, Driscoll.”
T.J. laughed before noticing Cyrus idling behind his best friend. The blonde flashed him a questioning look, wondering why the other boy wasn’t coming over to hug him or handing over the treats.
Cyrus just smiled in response before his gaze went over to Diana.
Oh, that reminded T.J. He gestured with a hand at the girl. “Guys, this is Diana. She just transferred and she’s interested in basketball. Think you can help her out, Driscoll?”
At the sudden attention, Diana took a step back, waving her hands in front of her. “Um, I’m not really sure if I should. I’m not that good.”
“I’m sure you’re fine!” Buffy said, kindly. “With a little practice and training, you’ll be in good shape! I’ll talk to the Captain so she can talk to the coach.”
“Oh… thanks.”
Meanwhile, T.J. was getting impatient. Cyrus was barely paying him any attention. And why was he so far away?!
T.J. put his water bottle back on the bench next to his backpack before extending an arm towards Cyrus. Wrapping a hand around the other boy’s wrist, he gently pulled him over.
“Why are you so far away?” he whined, pouting as he wound his arms around him.
He could practically feel Cyrus melting in his hold.
“I, uh, didn’t want to interrupt you and your new friend,” the brunette said in a soft tone.
There was an edge to his voice. T.J. wasn’t sure if he should be amused or concerned.
“You are always welcome to interrupt me,” he replied, cheekily.
Finally, Cyrus beamed. “I brought your granola bars,” he said, raising a clear bag filled with the treat. “Couldn’t decide between Dark Chocolate Cherry or the Blueberry and Yogurt so I brought both.”
T.J. was perfectly aware that he was swooning now and didn’t really care.
“You’re the best!”
“So I’ve been told.”
“Ahem,” Buffy’s voice broke through their little bubble. “I’m gonna go see Marty. Diana, I’ll talk to you later!”
Without another word, she left.
T.J. and Cyrus were left with Diana, who had somehow turned a strange shade of red while he was paying attention to Cyrus. Weirdly, she was staring at Cyrus like he had three heads.
Oh, he never introduced them.
“Oh, right, Diana, this is Cyrus, my boyfriend. Cy, Diana.”
T.J. turned his head to see Cyrus smiling politely.
“Hi,” the brunette greeted with a cute wave.
T.J. was once again reminded of how lucky he was.
“Boyfriend?” Diana blurted out, sounding dazed. “You’re the…boyfriend.”
Was it just him or did Cyrus’ hold on his waist tighten? He could practically feel the other boys’ fingers digging into his side through his shirt.
“That’s me. T.J. Kippen’s boyfriend.”
His tone was something T.J. had heard before. It was the same tone Cyrus would use when arguing with someone about a debunked dinosaur fact. It kind of had a hard edge and a bit… protective?
“Oh.” Diana’s mouth opened and closed before opening again. “That’s why Missy told me not to bother.” She sounded like she was talking to herself rather than to the two of them.
T.J. raised an eyebrow at that. “Is something wrong?”
“No! Not at all! I just… didn’t know you have a boyfriend.”
“And now, you do,” Cyrus stated. “I mean, uh, it’s understandable that you don’t know. ‘Cause you’re new and all. And T.J.’s really cute.”
“Y-Yeah, he is…” She blushed deeper and averted her eyes. “Um, right, uh, I think I’m gonna go now.”
“Oh, okay! Thanks for stopping by!” T.J. said.
Still looking dazed, Diana nodded and walked away.
Cyrus turned to T.J. “You know she likes you, right?”
“What? No way.”
“Yes, way! She was flirting!”
“Really?”
“Wow, honey, you really are oblivious.” Cyrus sighed. “I guess it’s not her fault that she didn’t know.”
“I don’t know why she would like me. I mean, I’m dating the cutest guy in the whole school.”
“That’s a lie because I’m dating the cutest guy in the whole school.”
“No, I totally am.”
“No way.”
“Yes way.”
“Agree to disagree.” Cyrus lifted the bag of granola bars again. “Come on, you should eat before your break ends.”
They sat on the bench, pushing T.J.’s backpack to the side. Cyrus opened the bag and handed a bar of the blueberry and yogurt to T.J. and taking one of the dark chocolate and cherry for himself.
“I gotta ask, though,” T.J. said in between bites. “You’re usually pretty friendly to new people, already asking them about their life goals and dreams for the future. But, with Diana, you seemed a bit… guarded.”
Cyrus couldn’t meet his eyes. “Oh? I didn’t notice.”
T.J. stared, a smirk pulling at his lips. He scooted closer until their arms were touching. “If I didn’t know any better, I’d think you were jealous.”
Cyrus coughed. “J-Jealous? Me? No way! Why would I be jealous? Just cause she’s pretty and seemed sweet and apparently plays basketball and… I’m not helping my case, am I?”
He could hear the hint of insecurity in that answer and T.J. had to sigh.
“Hey, you know you have nothing to be jealous about, right? I like you, Cyrus. No one else.”
“I know that! It’s just…” The brunette took a bite of his granola bar.
T.J. nudged his arm with an elbow. “But… I get it. You know, I’m not the only gay guy in this school who likes you. And I’m pretty sure there’s a couple of girls who do, too.”
Cyrus blushed. As always, his boyfriend was oblivious to the fact that he was handsome and a total heartbreaker. T.J. was one lucky dude.
“I’m sorry. I must sound like such a possessive boyfriend.”
“It’s okay. I like it. Reminds me of how lucky I am that you chose me.”
Cyrus blushed. “You’re a sap.”
“And you’re cute.”
“Just eat your granola bar!”
T.J. obeyed, happily sinking his teeth into the treat his boyfriend brought just for him.
And if Cyrus stuck to his side much closer than usual and even gave him a sweet kiss before he had to go back to practice, T.J. had no complaints

You and Me (Tyrus Post Finale One-Shot)
Summary: "There was nothing Cyrus could have wanted more, knowing that for the first time, there was a boy who actually liked him back, who felt the same. Or so he thought then." It's the Monday after that fateful party, and Cyrus is confused.
Words: 2386
AO3 LINK IN REBLOG
“Is there anything else you wanna tell me?”
“Yeah. Is, there anything you wanna tell me?”
“Yes.”
Cyrus slammed his locker door shut, promptly breaking the dialogue that had been repeating in his head since the night of Andi’s Epic Party 2.0, when he and TJ were sitting by the fire on the bench, when in the middle of all the noise and music and people, they held each other’s hands, a weight let off their shoulders.
Or so he thought then.
Cyrus held his bag strap, walking down the hallway to class as he held his books to his chest, still deep in thought. After the party that Friday, they had texted all weekend, everything seemingly back to normal, just slightly more flirty and bold than either of them had been before. And that wasn’t bad at all, in fact every time Cyrus saw a text notification from TJ, his heart would soar, and he couldn’t control a smile from spreading across his face as he hastily typed out a reply. Over the weekend, as they texted from the comfort of their homes, a screen between them, everything was perfect. There was nothing Cyrus could have wanted more, knowing that for the first time, there was a boy who actually liked him back, who felt the same.
But, behind a screen everything seemed easy. Walking into school, however, with the chance of seeing TJ in person, even talking to him, sent Cyrus’ heart racing in a way that wasn’t what it should have felt like. Because at the end of the day, TJ had walked into the party with Kira, hugging her and walking with her and staying with her until her abrupt departure. Whatever that meant. But he was with her, and then he was with Cyrus, holding his hand and looking at him like that. Could anyone blame him for being absolutely confused?
Not to add to the fact that after witnessing everything that had happened between Jonah and Andi in 7th Grade, Cyrus was worried that if he were to walk up to TJ in school and try to call him anything more than a friend, and if he tried to hold his hand, it wouldn’t be real. Because if Jonah and Andi’s relationship trials and tribulations had taught him anything, it was that a handhold could mean anything.
“Earth to Cyrus?” Buffy said, snapping her fingers in front of his face, bringing him out of his thoughts. He smiled and nodded his head at her.
“Hey Buffy, you seem chipper today,” Cyrus noted, narrowing his eyes at his friend’s bright smile.
“What? Me? You’re kidding,” she said, scoffing, but Cyrus just stared at her pointedly until she sighed. “I’m sorry it’s just, I’m excited to see Marty today.”
As if he were summoned by the calling of his name, Marty walked up the two of them, holding his bag straps as he smirked at Buffy. “Hey there, Driscoll.”
“Hi Marty,” Buffy replied with a smirk, and he wrapped an arm around her shoulder, walking on her other side.
“Wow, I love being acknowledged,” Cyrus said with a deadpanned voice, and Buffy snorted loudly.
“Cyrus! My man!” Marty called out, giving Cyrus a high five. He turned back to Buffy with a smirk. “So, how’s the most amazing person in the world doing?”
“She’s doing great, thank you.”
“Wait, Buffy, you’re supposed to say ‘I don’t know how are you doing?’ “
“Why? I am the most amazing person,” Buffy said, earning a shove from Marty as they continued down the hall.
Cyrus just looked over at the two, happy that they had finally, after everything, had gotten together, except that meant even more competitive banter and flirting, which no one was prepared for. But, he also couldn’t help but feel his heart sink as he looked at them. It had been no question that they were together after the party. It was so easy. Why was he still confused?
“Cyrus? Is everything okay?” Buffy asked, grabbing his shoulder to stop him from walking.
“Yeah, why wouldn’t it be?” Cyrus said rather unconvincingly. Buffy sighed and looked over at Marty.
“I’ll meet you at lunch okay?” she said, and Marty got the hint, pressing a kiss to Buffy’s forehead before walking ahead. After he was out of earshot, Buffy linked her arm with Cyrus’ and pulled him to the side.
“Now will you tell me?”
Cyrus sighed, looking at the ground before starting. “At the party, when I had gone out for a while, I was with TJ by the campfire. We were talking and, we uh, we had a moment.”
“Cyrus,” Buffy said softly, a smile on her face. “That’s amazing! What happened?” she asked, an eager grin on her face.
Cyrus laughed quietly. “We held hands for a while before he got a call from his mom that he had to go home.”
Buffy squealed loudly, earning glares from people all around, but she didn’t find it in her to care. “Oh my God that is adorable!” she exclaimed, but soon her smile fell. “Wait, but. Why are you sad?”
Cyrus looked back down. “Because, he walked into the party with Kira, and you and I both know a handhold can mean anything. What if, I’m just convincing myself that there is something, when really we’re nothing at all?”
“Cyrus,” Buffy said softly, grabbing his shoulders. “You’ve always had a problem overthinking things. That’s all this is. But, if you are so unsure, you should talk to him. For all you know, he’s out there somewhere, ranting to Jonah or Andi about how he thinks that there may be nothing between you guys.”
Cyrus looked up at Buffy and smiled, pulling her in for a hug. “Thanks, Buffy. You’re right, I should talk to him,” he agreed, but was cut short by the loud trilling sound of the school bell. “But after class.”

TJ: ill be at swings then <3
Cyrus pocketed his phone, not before gushing internally at the heart TJ had sent, before trudging in the direction of the park. To be honest, a part of him still hurt to walk there, to go to the swings, the memory of TJ and Kira laughing and having fun still in his mind, trying desperately to claw into him. He tried to push it away but it wouldn’t budge, not one bit.
As he neared the playground, Cyrus spotted a figure sitting on one of the swings, swaying slightly. He smiled and jogged up to him, knowing exactly who it was.
“Is that swing taken?” Cyrus said as he approached the swings, and TJ turned around, a bright smile on his face.
“Only by you,” he said, gesturing to the seat. Cyrus smiled and sat down on the swing, the nervousness returning slightly as he remembered what he needed to say.
“How was your day?” he asked instead, trying to give himself time to think.
TJ just shrugged. “Just a normal day I guess. Kinda disappointing, was hoping I’d meet someone,” he said, smirking slightly.
Cyrus felt his cheeks grow warm as he raised an eyebrow. “Oh really?”
TJ just chuckled, looking up at Cyrus as his smile softened. “Seriously though. Where were you all day? I didn’t see you anywhere.”
“Oh you know, just busy, like, people to see and help and stuff ya know,” Cyrus said, trying to be causal, but he knew from the way that TJ’s smile dropped that he had not been the least bit convincing. So he shook his head, looking down as he dug into the ground with the tip of his shoe. “Sorry, it’s just.”
“Is this about what happened at Andi’s party?” TJ cut in, his voice quiet and shaky. Cyrus looked up, meeting his eye and slowly nodded.
TJ sighed, running a hand through his hair. “I shouldn’t have done that,” he said in a voice barely louder than a whisper. “I, I’m so sorry.”
“No, no,” Cyrus said quickly, reaching across the swings to grab TJ’s hand. “That’s not what I meant. I am so glad it happened.”
TJ looked down at his hand, before looking back up at Cyrus, eyebrows knitted together in confusion. “You, you are?”
“Yes,” Cyrus said, his voice cracking. “So much so that sometimes I can’t believe it actually happened.”
TJ let out a short laugh. “Me neither. I feel like I need to pinch myself every time I think about it.”
Cyrus laughed, looking down. But his smile dropped slightly. “But, it’s more me being confused.”
“About what?”
“Well, us. From someone who has witnessed the highs and lows of relationships, hand-holding can mean anything.”
TJ nodded, looking down. Cyrus looked at him intently, before looking back down at the ground.
“Also, you did walk into the party with Kira.”
At that, TJ let out a sigh, and he let go of Cyrus’ hand, grabbing the chain of the swing. “Yeah, I get it’s confusing Cyrus. But I can explain.”
“So go ahead,” Cyrus said, giving him a small smile of encouragement. TJ looked up at Cyrus and nodded, as if he were steadying his resolve.
“Remember Costume Day?”
Cyrus scoffed, looking down. “I don’t think it could be clearer at times.”
TJ drew a shaky breath and looked ahead. “Well, the day before, Kira walked up to me asking me to do a costume with her. But I told her twice that I was doing it with you. But then, she said something weird. Like, ‘So you’d rather do a costume with Cyrus than with me?’ and then just walked away. But as she left I, I felt weird, like she was saying she knew something, something I wasn’t ready for people to know.”
“TJ,” Cyrus whispered, realisation dawning on him. But TJ didn’t hear him.
“I got scared, Cy. Really scared. So I just went along with her costume, even though it killed me to see your face. And I’m so so sorry for that,” he said, finally looking at Cyrus.
“It’s okay TJ, at least I know now,” Cyrus replied, giving him a small smile.
TJ looked back ahead. “After that day, she just came up to me all the time. And soon enough, I found out we had things in common. So hanging out with her didn’t feel too bad. It felt like a lot of it was her betting me I couldn’t do things, so I’d do them. But I didn’t really notice. But one thing I did notice was how much I missed you,” TJ said, sighing. “That’s why I wanted you to hang out with me and Kira. I missed hanging out like we used to, so I thought that we three could hang out.”
“That worked out well,” Cyrus said, and TJ laughed quietly.
“Not my best suggestion in hindsight.”
“Agreed on that,” Cyrus said, but he turned back to TJ. “But then what happened at the party for you to say she isn’t a nice person?”
“Um,” TJ muttered, scratching the inside of his thumb. “She, um, she said something about you.”
“What?” Cyrus said incredulously, turning to look at TJ.
“Well, not said. Okay,” TJ fumbled, squeezing his eyes shut. “You guys were all dancing and Kira and I were standing at the side. Then, she looked over at you and began laughing at your dancing.”
“Well, I don’t blame her,” Cyrus said, smirking, and TJ playfully punched him in the shoulder.
“I don’t know, I just couldn’t bear it. So I snapped at her.”
“You defended me?”
“Bold of you to assume it was the first time.”
Cyrus smiled, looking at TJ curiously, who was purposely avoiding eye contact, his cheeks pink.
“Anyway,” TJ said, his smile dropping. “She said that what it was really about was if she were to make me pick between you and her, I’d pick you. And that’s when it hit me that she had been trying to make me do that for a while.”
“What?” Cyrus asked, narrowing his eyes. TJ looked up at the sky before looking at Cyrus.
“She tried to make me pick between you two. And I couldn’t understand why she was doing that. Because you never made me pick,” TJ said quietly, looking up shyly. “That was that, she just walked away. And just like that, she was gone.”
“Whoa,” was all Cyrus could manage.
“Yeah,” TJ said with a sigh, looking down.
“I’m sorry you had to go through that.”
“No, I’m the one that should be sorry Cyrus,” TJ said, looking over at him. “I made everything confusing.”
“Well, you and me both. My overthinking did a lot of the heavy lifting,” Cyrus replied, smirking slightly.
TJ laughed, reaching over to grab Cyrus’ hand. “But, what happened later, on the bench?” he said, looking up him, gulping nervously. “I wanted to tell you that-”
“Me too,” Cyrus said softly, moving his hand to interlock their fingers. TJ looked down at their hands, and looked back up at Cyrus, a bright, relieved smile on his face.
“So,” TJ said, after a while, swinging slightly, his and Cyrus’ hand in between their two swings. “What does this mean for us?”
Cyrus shrugged, looking at TJ. “I have no idea. This has never happened before.”
“Yeah,” TJ said, his word more an exhale.
“How about,” Cyrus started slowly, moving to interlock their pinkies, something that made TJ smile, his cheeks red, just like Cyrus’ were. “We take it slow then?”
“Slow sounds perfect,” TJ said, nodding.
“Slow it is then,” Cyrus said, and he and TJ sat on the swings for a while after that, talking about everything and nothing at the same time, all the while their hands holding each other in between the two swings.
As the evening grew darker, Cyrus sighed, pushing himself off the swing. “I should probably get home.”
“Me too,” TJ said, getting up, scratching the back of his ear. “Hey Cy, do you, uh wanna go to the Spoon after school tomorrow?”
Cyrus smiled, hopping on the balls of his feet. “Like on a date?”
“Yeah,” TJ said, twiddling his thumbs nervously.
To answer him, Cyrus leaned forward and lightly kissed TJ’s cheek, eliciting giggles from the both of them.
“I’d love to.”

T.J. Goodman and Cyrus Kippen
AO3 Link
Sequel
“I have no idea if this is the cutest or the dorkiest couple outfit you two could have come up with,” Buffy said, adjusting her red and gold tie.
“Says Hermione Granger,” Cyrus retorted, gelling up his hair, frowning as he tried to get it to look *just* right. “You got the flashcards, right?”
“I did,” Buffy said cautiously. “And I think T.J. is going to flip when he sees all of this effort you put in.”
“Of course he put in all this effort,” Andi said, straightening out her bow tie. “Besides, I think I win at the nerdiest outfit.”
Both of her friends groaned. “It doesn’t count if you’re going as an actual nerd!” Cyrus said. “And I still can’t believe I lent you my old glasses for this.”
“You don’t even use them anymore because the prescription is out of date,” she argued back. “Besides, look who’s talking about borrowing clothing items.”
“This is different,” he said as a matter of fact.
“Why is it different?”
“Because...this is the only way to sell it...Besides, my outfit belongs to Buffy.”
“And you can keep it. That is from two basketball teams ago,” she said. Finally Cyrus smiled when he got the hair right and pulled on a zip-up hoodie, leaving it open so that the Jefferson Middle School Basketball jersey underneath was visible.
“Well? Ladies?”
“Whoa…you’re selling it,” Andi said.
“Yup. You look like him.”
Cyrus looked in the mirror and smirked. “I’m no longer Cyrus Goodman. Until Midnight tonight, call me T.J. Kippen.”
______________
Soon there were knocks at the Goodman’s front door. It was the GHC’s dates for the night, and Jonah, all in costume ready to see their other halves. Jonah wore a Shazam costume since everyone said that the actor who played Billy Batson looked like him. He wasn’t really into costumes all that much but they all begged him to the point he felt like a total jerk if he didn’t wear it.
Marty was dressed up like Ron Weasley, so even though he also wore a Gryffindor robe and tie, he swapped out the usual sweater for a burgundy one with a big gold “R” on the font and even found a twig, snapped it, then wrapped an ungodly amount of tape around it. He knew Buffy would commit and stole some of her dad’s old law books to carry around.
Amber wore her cheerleading uniform, but kept her hair down and curled, only putting up a small section into her giant hair bow. Her sneakers were shining white. Her couple outfit with Andi would be the nerd and the cheerleader, but with a gay twist. Instead of fighting for some boy like Taylor Swift’s “You belong with me” video, they were dating each other.
But T.J.’s won out of those guys, and he was excited to see Cyrus’s interpretation. He was dressed up in a patterned button down, had a messenger bag, and even slicked his hair down some. Just in case, he had the old Bar Mitzvah sweatshirt tucked in the bag just in case people didn’t realize what he was doing.
Cyrus’s mom opened the door and T.J. immediately put on his cheesiest smile and went “Hello, hello, hello!”
Mrs. Goodman couldn’t help but start laughing. “Oh my god, I’m not sure if this means you two hang out too much or you two are perfect for each other.”
“Both.” Marty and Amber said together.
“Hey, don’t hate,” he said back to them. “So...where is the wonderful, amazing, puppy-dog of a human being T.J. Kippen?” He joked.
“All three of them are upstairs,” she said. “And I want pictures of you all before you leave for the party!”
They were all headed upstairs and knocked on the bedroom door. Cyrus, dressed as T.J. was the one who opened the door and both boys almost lost composure immediately. They tried not to let it show, but they quickly took a breath and looked looked at each other. “Cyrus, My man,” Cyrus deepened his voice as much as he physically could. “You look Niceberg.”
T.J. had to bite his tongue for a second so that he didn’t laugh and he started talking, getting more and more excited and speaking faster as he did. “Wow Teej, you look absolutely amazing because you are amazing because this is going to be the best Halloween ever and you’re wearing a hoodie that matches your eyes and your jersey which you always look super hot in…”
“Oh my god, what did we sign up for,” Amber groaned and moved past them to go kiss her Nerdy Andi.
“I’m just gonna hang with my totally fly Cy guy,” Cyrus said, pulling a step stool from behind the door and standing on it so he could simulate the reverse of the height difference between the two. Jonah actually broke down laughing at that.
“And I get to be with my super cool, absolutely amazing boyfriend,” T.J. said, looking up at Cyrus. So that’s how it felt for him. T.J. was suddenly very aware of his own height.
“Good god, and I thought we were bad with out-extra-ing each other,” Marty said, putting his arm around Buffy’s shoulders. “Let's get to the party before this they somehow derail everything.”
“How would they even derail it?” Andi asked.
“Sure, act like we aren’t standing in front of you,” T.J. said.
“Do not underestimate my brother’s narcissism,” Amber said. “The sooner we’re out in public, the more guaranteed we are for having the two stay within a PG rating.”
“Hey, just because I can shoot three pointers with ease, or cross the court in seconds flat, doesn’t mean I am so self-absorbed,” Cyrus said, and everyone but Buffy and Andi looked at him in awe.
“What did you say?” Marty asked.
“What? Just tossing out some b-ball lingo. I’m just saying that it doesn’t matter that I truly rock because I can shoot nothing but net from half court, I’m just that amazing of a point guard,” he said. “But I’m an even more amazing boyfriend to my muffin of a man.”
T.J. was staring at him open-mouthed. “H..how?”
Buffy sighed and pulled a twenty dollar bill from her robe pocket. “I regret this so much...you all honestly could not begin to imagine.”
“Now I understand completely,” Marty said. “Come on, we have a party to get to.”
_________________
Everyone piled into the Kippen minivan that Mrs. Kippen allowed them to borrow, with T.J. driving and Cyrus in the passenger seat. “Are you sure you should drive, Underdog?” Cyrus said, back in T.J. mode. “I mean, you did almost fail your driver’s test.”
“I aced the written part and technically passed the driving part by like...a point,” T.J. replied. “I’m sure I’m fine for one night. Besides, your mom thinks I’m a good influence on you.”
“You totally are, you got me to start getting help for math. It was totally Niceburg.”
T.J. hissed under his breath, “I said it that word one time….”
Cyrus smirked at him from the passenger seat.
Marty opened his mouth and Buffy cut him off. “If you say blimey or bloody hell, I’m throwing you out of this car.”
Marty closed his mouth.
“I’m feeling very single right about now,” Jonah said.
“Ironic considering just about everyone attracted to men has had a crush on you,” Buffy said. “Except for me. You were too...swoopy for my type.”
“Swoopy?”
“You know...like Justin Bieber back in the olden days? Swoopy.”
“And now I’m…?”
“Still a little swoopy, but much more human.” Everyone let out noises of agreement.
“Human?” He raised an eyebrow. “Ironic considering I’m dressed like...well…” he swished his Shazam cape.
“Dude, you were above the whole world back in the day,” Cyrus said. “Like some unattainable god! I couldn’t even just say Jonah when I talked to you. I had to say your full name.”
“Wow...so wait...you had a crush on me?” Jonah asked.
“Ladies and gentleman, the most oblivious man on earth,” Marty announced holding his arm out and presenting Jonah. “Raise your hand if you’ve ever been attracted to Jonah Beck.”
Everyone in the car except for Buffy and Marty (and obviously Jonah himself) raised their hands.
“Wait...Andi and Amber I know because I’ve dated both of you on and off...Cyrus...well...yeah I can see that...but...T.J.?”
“Yeah T.J.,” T.J. said. “Why else do you think I was a total dick to you in little league...or just a dick overall?”
“Never doubt the powers of heterocompuslivity and internalized homophobia,” Cyrus said.
“That intense?” Jonah asked and literally everyone except Buffy in the car shouted “YES!”
“Yeah Jo, you and I are the only non-queers in here as far as I can tell.”
“As far as you can tell?”
“Well, I know I’m straight,” she said. “You haven’t said straight or otherwise.”
He paused. “I mean...I’m into girls…”
“Be free to be,” Marty said. “That’s all that matters.”
“Sounds good to me,” he said. “So Buffy is the only confirmed straight, and I just have a question mark dangling.”
“Hey, still unique even among the majority,” she teased.
___________________
The party was being held in some warehouse downtown, and everyone was in costume, some as a couple, most as a standalone costume. Buffy and Marty were just playing around with each other, daring the other to the tabletop games and later, to who could stay in a kiss the longest. People told them to get a room, and those people got the finger.
Amber and Andi spent the whole night dancing and mingling with other people in costume, though sometimes a guy would try to hit on Amber and brought a friend with them to hit on Andi. They always seemed confused when she said that she was in a relationship, and then once or twice, got so annoyed that she pulled Andi in by the bow tie and kissed her deeply.
T.J. and Cyrus meanwhile, continued their shenanigans, pretending to be the other, complimenting both themselves and the other, being all sappy with each other. T.J. even sat down for most of the evening so that Cyrus could stand and keep the height difference.
People loved seeing how in sync the couple were, and even let them choose several songs over the course of the night so the two could dance together. They were even able to reunite almost everyone and do a reprise of “Born this Way,” except this time one of T.J.’s hands was occupied by Cyrus holding it tightly and kissing the back of it. They ended their night with the final chords of the song and kissed each other deeply on stage while everyone cheered. Buffy and Marty also kissed next to Andi and Amber who kissed as well. Jonah jokingly hugged himself tightly and jumped up and down.
_____________
They were all pretty much exhausted by the time they were leaving and thankful that the Macks agreed to host the group sleepover, with the rule being that they all had to sleep in sleeping bags in the living room to police each other.
T.J. and Cyrus were the last ones awake and they were cuddling, leaning against the couch, using their sleeping bags as blankets as they watched some Disney movies on mute with subtitles on as to not wake up the others.
“Hey,” T.J. said softly, his arms around Cyrus, who was using him as a pillow. “You know I love you, right?”
“Yeah,” he said sleepily, smiling up at T.J. “I love you too.” They leaned in and kissed each other softly. “I love you Mr. Goodman,” Cyrus teased.
“And I love you Mr. Kippen,” T.J. teased back, his fingers dancing playfully over Cyrus’s palm. “You know...I actually kinda like the sound of that. Mr. Goodman…”
“I was about to say the opposite,” Cyrus said back, his eyes close to closing. “I prefer the sound of Mr. Kippen.”
“How about a compromise then,” T.J. said, starting to get tired as well, but wanting to stay awake for as long as Cyrus was. “Mr. Goodman-Kippen.”
“Mr. Goodman-Kippen,” Cyrus yawned that last part. “I really like that...I can’t wait…”
T.J. watched him fall asleep, breathing evenly against his chest and turned off the T.V., adjusting the two of them so that they were lying down and making sure that Cyrus didn’t wake up. T.J. thought about his plans of surprising the group with a trip to Disney World for their senior year graduation trip, and then presenting Cyrus with a very special small box with a special and important gift inside. He smiled at the thought and laced his fingers with Cyrus’s. “Yeah...can’t wait either…”

Hey everybody! Since the fandom has been a little more active lately I thought it would be fun to end the year by celebrating each of the wonderful characters on Andi Mack :)
Sunday December 26: Andi Day
Today is dedicated to our beloved title character, miss Andi Mack herself!
Monday December 27: Buffy Day
It's all about the one and only Buffy Driscoll!
Tuesday December 28: Cyrus Day
An entire day to celebrate our boy Cyrus Goodman!
Wednesday December 29: Jonah Day
We're celebrating Jonah Beck all day!
Thursday December 30: Extended Good Hair Crew Day
Today is all about Amber, TJ, and Marty!
Friday December 31st: Mack Family Day
Today is dedicated to Bex, Bowie, and Celia!
Saturday January 1st: Free Day
Is Britney your beloved? Are you a proud Kira redemptionist? Do you cheer every time Gus is on screen? Or do you just love Buffy so much you think she deserves 2 days? Then you're in luck, because today you get to celebrate whoever you want!
Rules:
Any type of creation is welcome for this week as long as it focuses on or is inspired by the character of the day. You can write fics, make gifs, playlists, art, edits, joke posts, favorite quotes, even just text posts explaining why you love the character, etc --it's completely up to you!
For days with multiple characters it's up to you if you want to focus on just one of them, all of them, or a combination of them
Creating things for groups of characters is totally fine as long as the character of the day is included, for example focusing on friend groups or ships involving the character
All contributions must be safe for work
Please tag everything with both #Andi Mack and #Andi Mack Character Appreciation Week
time zones are funky and people get busy so don't worry about being late! I will reblog everything anyway
most importantly have fun :D
EDIT: please feel free to tag me in anything you post! ESPECIALLY GIFSETS as the new update is making them not show up in tag
