I strongly believe in Taro being a snarky ass bitch sometimes he just almost never has a reason to do so
He's literally been friends with a tsundere since childhood* you can't tell me that Osana wouldn't rub off on him a lil
Plus the Budo v Taro rap battle? Does anyone else remember that?
(*I know Osana wasn't really "tsundere" until she started developing romantic feelings for Taro but consider: irrelevant)
I’m excited to see how Taro’s personality and demeanor changes depending on how you eliminate the rivals.
Ngl, if I was him, I would have little to no patience for bullshit when Megami showed up.

The Yandere Sim situation
WARNING; topics of grooming and other sensitive subjects ahead. If you're not comfortable with this, that's okay. I wish you the best. HOO BOY this is a doozy. So, I was a huge fan of yandere simulator years ago, particularly in the middle 2010s when it was at it's biggest hype. Over the years, eventually, the facade began to show and discovering how shitty of a developer/person Yanderedev, aka Alex, is was a very harsh wake up call. I've been distancing myself from the fandom bit by bit over the years, only occasionally popping my head in, namely when the 80s mode and full demo were completed, and have occasionally thought about taking a look at the demo myself. But yeah, whatever lingering hope I had for this game has been completely faded, and all I want is for this to be over and Yanderedev to crash and burn for the last time. If you're curious what brought this on or why people are talking about it again, about a week ago Alex was exposed grooming an underage fan that's been refereed to as "Jane" to protect her identity. This included actual recorded voice chats between the two of them, that are to say the least very disturbing. A youtuber whom Jane had been in contact with uploaded a video that included the recordings, but it was taken down by Yanderedev. However, the video has been re-uploaded by another youtuber, which I'll link here. In light of this, a good number of people working with Alex, including the VAs for Yandere-chan, Senpai, and Budo have said they'll no longer be working on the project. I'm typing this out mostly as a warning to anyone that's been getting caught up in all of this and may be thinking Alex is innocent. I get it, I was like you at one point too, but at some point the rose tinted glasses gotta come off. Jane, if somehow you're reading this, I know this whole thing has been rough for you, and I hope soon you can find yourself in a safe place away from all of this very soon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAiQ4DLjrOg&ab_channel=RayRants

Ahh. 🥰 These flowers have been filling my little creative art studio with a beautiful, floral aroma since Valentine’s Day, and they make me smile every time I see (and smell) them. 💐
Hubby surprised me on V-day with this beautiful bouquet in some of my favorite colors, as well as these antique trinket boxes that I was stunned he managed to find.
“Where did you get them?! These are beautiful! How did you know I’d like these?!” I gasped, turning them around and around in my hands, opening and closing them, admiring them in the light.
“Are you serious?” He laughed. “Look at them. I know my wife.” 😂 Apparently, he’d purchased them from an antique store without telling me. 🥹 Thank you God for my thoughtful husband.
I’m just… absolutely obsessed with them. The little round trinket box is shaped like a bouquet of wild flowers with a delicate humming bird perched atop. And the gold treasure chest has Sakura blossoms laced across the gilding. I’m just speechless. They’re so beautiful. 😭 Olympics level gift-giving, this man.
For now, the Sakura treasure chest is housing my unused Sailor ink cartridges (they fit perfectly!) which has been SO great, TBH, because they’ve otherwise been sitting in storage, and now I’m actually using them! The standard Sailor black ink cartridges have extremely wet ink. Like wow. I wasn’t expecting it, especially after using so many pastel shading inks lately. The cartridges are wet, lubricated, rich, and pleasant in a dry Japanese nib in the same way Pilot Yama-Budo is delightful to write with. I’ve been scrawling page after page into my journals and planners, eager to see the dark lines pooling on paper. Soooo niiiice. 🥰
In other news! I finally finished working on the custom Maki-e fountain pen designs for my private clients and have been enjoying a little break. 💖 The joy of working for myself is I can decide when I want to churn things out and be productive, or sit back and focus on… well. Whatever else I want to focus on. 😂
I hope everyone is doing well, and that you all have a lovely week ahead! 🥰 Maybe buy yourself or your loved ones some flowers just because. Heheh.

, sob a direção do Mestre Takeda.
Read the full article

The Budos Band — V (Daptone)
The Budos Band V by The Budos Band
The last Budos Band album, Burnt Offering, was a bit of a ringer, the first non-numbered recording (it would have been IV) and the first to incorporate elements of psychedelic rock and metal into his swaggering soul/blaxploitation/Ethio-jazz vibe. With V, the band is back from its Sabbath-y excursion, bearing a few souvenirs, but mostly on home territory. A crunchy, San Francisco-in-1968 guitar riff kicks off the album in “Old Engine Oil,” but then the horn line picks up, the hand-drums thwack into view and the band leads from its strengths (and also the hips). It’s an instrumental neo-psychedelic soul from that never quite happened in exactly this way — although Mulatu Astatke was influenced by 1960s and 1970s Latin jazz, funk and soul, he didn’t have much of an impact on that scene — but nonetheless smoulders and slaps and drives.
The Budos band is a large ensemble, nine in all with a full line-up of brass players, percussionists, reeds and keyboards alongside the still important drum-guitar-bass set-up. Members have shared cross affiliation with Afro-Funk Antibalas, Menahan Street Band, Sharon Jones’ band and are familiar with many different varieties of funk and soul. Jared Tankel leads the band with the deep, sinuous blurt of baritone saxophone; you can hear him thread through dub-reverbed blasts of trumpet and the soft mutter of pick-less bass in slinky “The Enchanter.” Thomas Brenneck plays lead guitar with a sly, insinuating grace, sharp blasts on the upbeats, wavering heat mirages of whammy bar between the phrases. The bass is also key and never better than in “Maelstrom,” where it thunders ominously, rapidly and with undiluted purpose. And the drums—all manner of them struck and shaken and beaten with hands—clatter with intricate, loosely synchronous complexity. The beat on “Ghost Talk” fractures into slouching polyrhythm and snaps back at the offbeats, in a cadence that seems louche and precise at the same time. It rolls from the pelvis, it struts, it swaggers.
There’s certainly a bit of psychedelic rock woven into these tracks, in the hard, circling boogie under “Arcane Rambler,” in the surfy Ennio Morricone-ish grandeur of “Maelstrom,” but it’s subsumed into the fabric of these blistering soul-jazz-funk compositions. V for five, V for victory and V for very much what you want from the Budos Band.

Whenever I see people saying "Ayano should dump Taro's ass and go with Budo, he's SO MUCH BETTER than him!", I ask: ...why are you so desperate to see Budo go through what Jokichi was subjected to? Do you secretly hate him or are you just masochists? Ayano is not a good match for ANYONE.
ooh this is gonna be long
Yes you have a good point! Ayano isn't a good match for anyone and it doesn't make sense to suggest that she should be with Taro or that she should dump Taro and go for someone "better" because whoever she ends up with is doomed to live in captivity among other unpleasant things. So why would people say this?
1. They don't know the game's concept very well, especially evidenced by the fact that they think Ayano is in control of whoever it is that she's obsessed with. She isn't. Stands to reason that if they don't know that, they ALSO don't know that being Ayano's lover is definitely not a good thing.
2. They forgot to mention that they're talking about their AU/rewrite in which Ayano isn't a bad person. Like it's very clear that some people like to pretend that Yandere Simulator's problematic characters aren't problematic. What if the bullies weren't bullies? What if the delinquents weren't delinquents? What if Ayano is just a slightly more cunning than average schoolgirl experiencing her first crush? That makes the game more enjoyable to them so that's the lens through which they perceive it, and when they talk about it, that's what they mean.
3. They know exactly what they're talking about and they're curious about how Budo might respond to being put into such a situation. Wanting to see bad things happen to a character doesn't necessarily mean hating them. There are characters in Danganronpa that I think should die, but I don't hate them as much as I hate Vlad from Magicka. FUCK that conniving little "nyeh nyeh I'm not a vampire!" bastard. Point being, they may not hate Budo, but they might think that it would be more interesting to see Budo in that position than Taro.
So which is it? Honestly... I hope the first one, because it's the best compromise between non-offensive and actually realistic. I don't think it's the third solely because the focus is on what kind of guy Ayano deserves to be with, not on who would make a better Magic Senpai. The second one is just... guys, you know Yandere Simulator is gonna be an M Rated game, right? Bad people do bad things. Ayano isn't a good person, even if you play pacifist, because her aim is to take away another person's agency over their life. I've talked about this before with Info-chan but it applies to e v e r y problematic aspect of the game. But I can't really blame anyone who says that Ayano deserves Budo over Taro just out of ignorance. Realistically it's probably a mix of the first and second options tho.
#yandere simulator#yansim#saki says#you sly dog you got me monologuing!#thinking about how people think is something that i enjoy doing#and this is a pretty weird facet of the budo vs taro debate#honestly theyre both good bois and ayano is evil so like.#idk they can go kiss each other instead? or live other lives lmao
