so anyway, Love Sea? let's discuss. firstly, i realise i was in thailand when it dropped so never got to give the announcement the excitement post it deserves, and secondly-when i tell you the amount of feral i will go the moment this show drops!!!!
what do we know so far about the show? FIRST TIME EVER MAME HAS RE-USED HER LEAD ACTORS!!! (fucking proud mama over here!)
1.) it's more mature than love in the air (thank the fucking bl gods) and much more challenging than LITA. 2.) there will be nc scenes (🙏🏻🙏🏻 ofc there is, it's a MAME show!!) that are, according to fort, STEAMIER than LITA. (jesus god, someone hold me, i don't think i'm ready) 3.) it's set on the beach. (hello cinematography!!!- lets pray the sound team have a bigger budget on this one otherwise god forbid we hear anything over the sound of waves) 4.) peat's character tongrak is a beautiful, rich, best-selling romance novelist looking for inspiration on his newest book (i'm already in love with this for peat!!), he has a partner in his past he doesn't like to talk about for unknown reasons and is afraid of loneliness. 5.) fort's character mahasamut is a local tour guide who is popular amongst the tourists and has his own company(?) he doesn't have a great relationship with his dad, left home because of a quarrel and now lives independantly and ambitiously. he can speak english well (fort's english is the cutest so i'm fucking excited to hear him speak it in the show!!) and has a diving certifcate and is good at fighting(?)
6.) if the poster is to be believed the fortpeat dynamic might be switching- peatfort?!? (blessed, we're being blessed with diversity) because it sounds like tongrak is the one pursuing mahasamut(?)
7.) potentially a sugar baby/daddy scenario? (i don't know where i heard this, but for real i am so down if it's true)
8.) I'm gonna be fucking insufferable when it comes out. Trailer when, memindy? I'm ready now.

What did BOC do?
assuming you are in good faith, anon, here’s a non-exhaustive list:
they allowed the KP novelists (poi and yok) unfettered access to the set, where they were filmed sexually harassing numerous members of the cast, including a minor they coerced into giving them massages
they failed to take action against the actors’ stalkers who doxed their hotels and flights and followed them on vacation, nearly drove their cars off the road, and broke into the BOC offices
ignoring poi’s accusations of plagiarism against sammon for the original 4 minutes script (prior to its retooling as whatever the fuck garbage it is now) and failing to apologize
continuing to side with poi after she falsely accused one of their actors, build jakapan, of plagiarism, abuse, theft, and a forced abortion, as well as setting up a months-long harassment campaign with leaks of private messages and photos, leading him to nearly commit suicide after his resignation and more or less blackballing him from the thai television industry. actors were also forbidden to mention him in any way.
in a major double standard move, forced build into an extended hiatus near the end of KP's airtime after twitter dug up decade-old problematic tweets and blew them up into a scandal, while ignoring 2024 allegations and receipts against bible for old, still undeleted social media posts that are in the same vein that got build canceled originally
pond, BOC’s CEO, continues to blame build indirectly in interviews over 18 months after the initial scandal (obliquely referring to him as though all of BOC’s past and present problems are laid at build’s feet), even though poi admitted in a settlement that the claims were false and build has entirely distanced himself from anything to do with BOC since his resignation
chose to announce jeff satur’s departure from BOC during a live event that was also streamed worldwide without informing nearly everyone in the cast prior, including bible (who’d just lost his scene partner, build, not long beforehand) and barcode (jeff’s scene partner, the minor who’d been harassed by yok and poi), causing a devastated barcode to burst into tears in front of the audience
held a reality show that included telling a teenager to get a nose job to ‘look less chinese’ and required the largely-teenage candidates to undergo an exercise in humiliating exorcism where they had to spill the skeletons in their closet in a public guilt and shaming circle
have been exposed numerous times stealing artwork for promotional materials
discarding the majority of their cast after KP finished airing, leaving actors signed to the studio but providing them no acting, sponsorship, or live opportunities, only to then hire several waves of new cast members for other projects, leaving the existing talent high and dry
failed to budget properly for their aborted ‘world tour,’ then blamed the actors
despite KP being a massive success, they claimed to be above BL for their next project, man suang (which pond trumpeted as the saving grace of new thai cinema and was partially funded by the thai ministry of culture), which failed to do anywhere near the gangbusters numbers expected of it, leading pond to walk back his claims and announce a man suang AU tv show, recently postponed from its original 2024 release date to 2025, which is supposed to be more of a light and fluffy BL romcom, rather than the serious historical piece man suang was originally advertised as. this was also apo's passion project and had almost zero promotion.
mile, who was the inspiration for the KP novel, coaxed apo back from new york (where he’d gone after a disastrous experience in lakorns in thailand) to star in KP by promising him BOC wouldn’t be similar to other studios, only to promptly turn around and have the guy who’d faced horrific amounts of colorism appear in ads for whitening products
have repeatedly insulted international fans (both in southeast asia and globally), including a canceled event in vietnam being blamed on bigoted stereotypes of vietnam being crime-ridden and unsafe, and using offensive/outdated content in their promotional materials
ultimately, whether you choose to support BOC or not is your decision and my judgment means nothing. for me, KP was a very good time for a few months and then a life-ruining time for three times as long as it was good, and i quite frankly would prefer never to have watched the show because BOC and its attack dogs caused so much pain to a huge number of people i care about, with none of the people either at the company or in the fandom ever bothering to take the slightest shred of accountability for their noxious behavior. i hope every day is a fucking misery for pond and i wish him all the luck and success he deserves, which is fucking none. when BOC burns down, let me know so i can reserve the time off to dance on its grave.

BTS' SUGA's 'D-DAY' concert in Singapore is an inspirational story of courage, hope, and selflove
“There is no word in the dictionary that is big enough to fully capture who BTS' SUGA is. This is the conclusion that you would have come to if you were one of the ARMYs who were present at the Singapore leg of the SUGA / AGUST D TOUR 'D-DAY'.”
Tumblr media
There is no word in the dictionary that is big enough to fully capture who BTS' SUGA is. This is the conclusion that you would have come to if you were one of the ARMYs who were present at the Singapore leg of the SUGA / AGUST D TOUR 'D-DAY'.
Since beginning in the United States in April, the tour which has also been to Indonesia, Japan, and Thailand - has proved that the South Korean multihyphenate is a real force of nature, one capable of making waves with his music wherever he goes and leaving scores of transformed lives in his wake. With Singapore being the last destination on SUGA's itinerary before his homecoming shows in Seoul, a legion of ARMYs, both from the Lion City and across the region, gathered at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on 17 June to catch the first BTS member to stage a solo tour in the flesh.
What awaited all who had turned up inside the venue was so much more than just a concert. Blending dazzling visual effects, pyrotechnics, and a showstopping display from SUGA (who also goes by Agust D), the two-hour spectacle was an unforgettable examination of the man of the hour and the remarkable personal journey he has been on, one that expressed who the artist is in ways that words cannot.
From the moment SUGA rose from the ground and kicked off the show with 'Haegeum' as a simulated thunderstorm raged on, all eyes and ears - were on the 30-year-old as he delivered rap verses with speed, clarity, and conviction and commanded the stage like a natural-born showman while supported by his touring band. This was an artist at the top of his game who was perched on the pinnacle of the world. The throngs of screaming ARMYs watching on knew this, and so did SUGA himself.
As satisfying as it was to hear him declare "I'm a king, I'm a boss" in 'Daechwita' and bask in the (well deserved) rewards of all of the blood, sweat, and tears that he has shed to make it to where he is today, it was equally satisfying to see SUGA perform with a hunger for more that showed his desire to remain on his throne for a very long time. At certain points of the show, the BIGHIT Music act rapped and sang with such intensity that literal drops of perspiration could be seen trickling down his face and falling off his long black locks.
When he was not on stage, the attention of everyone was on engrossing short films that broke up the show's different segments. Resembling big-budget Hollywood productions, they gave fans a peek at what SUGA would look like as an enigmatic noir protagonist. Considering how effortlessly he played the role, perhaps a future in which he is also a film star is not that far-fetched.

Can you believe that we thought the MS press tour would be MA showing up in different Dior outfits but and it's just them in the MS shirts every single day.
Strategical I can understand why they did it (reaching out to regular folk(especially to an older audience), promo more adapted to the locals in smaller provinces, more focus on the actors and the movie vs fashion, economical in the wardrobe perspective) but I am not sure why they couldn't just style them in the shirts differently in each stop or just let the actors wear their own clothes but that are from a budget friendly price point if they don't want to appear too flashy...like their pictures from each event are so boring and you can't differentiate one event to the next which likely results in less press for them as for the press they all look like the same day making the picture basically worthless after the first day.
Tumblr media
putting these together 💖
Tumblr media
A couple of things I randomly found out (more like realized) in the past couple of weeks:
Bangkok has a population of 10.7M people (for reference, New York which is the densest city by population in the US has 8.5M people. Of major Asian countries, Shanghai is 26M, Mumbai is 20.6M, Manila is 13.4M, Tokyo is 14M, Seoul is 9.8M, and HCMC is 9M people.
Thailand has a population of 71.6M people, which means the city of Bangkok itself makes up 15% of the country's population. The only city similar on the list is SK with 51.7M, or 16% of the country's population. (I do want to note Seoul is much smaller in surface area than Bangkok, which does mean Seoul is also denser)
SK is approximately 100,032sqkm. Thailand is, however, 513,120sqkm. Both of the cities are marginal in size compared to their countries' total surface area, so looking at non capital city surface area, BOC has to promote in 5x large of a space compared to if a Korean company were to do the same with their film.
I mean BOC going out and doing this kind of promo in these less urban regions is losing money for them, even if it's in terms of cost-benefit analysis of time itself. But I think overall the project is a labor of love for Mile and Apo, especially. And as Apo said, the way to earn money as an actor is not through working as an actor, but sponsorships and promoting brands.
Of course they don't want it to be a total sunken cost and for people to see this movie, but they made this movie for the pride of Thailand, not just for people living in Bangkok. I think getting to see glamorous movie stars you can see on the big screen in your town is enough, they don't need to be wearing weird, inaccessible Dior clothing. I guess maybe they just feel it would be more fair if all these cities got the same experience. Even if it's boring for us, it's probably each town's local newspaper reporting on their arrival and promotion as a pretty big deal to the region. I even saw some Thai fans organizing to try to sponsor tickets for helping get more locals into these shows because they recognize that 220 thb (~$6), the cost of a movie ticket, might be a lot for some of these families.
And for their inter fans, it's also education about these other cities in Thailand and bringing in business to local store owners from local fans who are following them on their journey.
I don't want to be too down about it, and it doesn't bother me really they aren't dressing differently between different stops... we've gotten so many amazing outfits from their Man Suang press tour already. Just like it doesn't really bother me that them doing this kind of promo isn't going to generate a huge amount of revenue for them. Some things money can't buy, and pride is one of them.

Bangkok-Thailand Travel Guide-THE TRAVEL BLOG
Tumblr media
The city of Bangkok never gets old. Regardless of how often you visit, there is always something exciting and novel to see, do, or eat. You can easily organize your trip to Bangkok with the help of this travel guide.
Unmatched in Southeast Asia, it offers an odd mix of cuisine, culture, nightlife, shopping, and affordability. It doesn't matter where you're from or what you want to do. Everyone can find something in Bangkok.
This Bangkok travel guide will assist you in planning your trip to Thailand.
 Bangkok Travel Guide
Train Market
If you're in the Samut Songkhram province, which is close to Bangkok, and have a free day, head to the Maeklong Railway Market for a unique shopping experience. In a regular fresh market, you can buy fish, fruits, vegetables, meats, fresh and dry foods, and more. From 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., it is accessible. The market is referred to as the "life-risking" market because its stalls are attached to the Mae Klong-Ban Laem railway, a short railway line that runs from and to Mahachai and Mae Klong. For sun protection, market merchants erect parasols or canvases. Visitors can walk and shop along the railway while the shelters are attached.
Maha Nakhon Sky Walk
According to the Bangkok guide, the 314-meter-tall tallest observation deck in Thailand, which offers 360-degree panoramic views from both an outdoor and an interior viewing area, is a must-see site. The Indoor Observation Deck, is located on the 74th level, with stunning 360-degree views. Try strolling on the 78th level's translucent glass floor while you're 310 meters above the ground! In San Diego, California, there is another sky deck view that will enthrall you.
It is well worth the trek to Ratchaburi, which is around 90 minutes by vehicle from Bangkok's central business district, to visit this amazing floating market. Vendors can be seen selling everything in these waterways, from unusual animals and artwork to fruit and noodles. At the market, hundreds of sellers and buyers are floating on their little boats, buying and selling agricultural goods and regional food, mostly from their neighboring orchards. According to the Bangkok guide, tourists who want to see the traditional and antiquated way of buying and selling items frequently travel to Bangkok.
Also , Bangkok, Thailand is a popular destination for travelers from all over the world. Known for its bustling city life, rich culture, and beautiful scenery, Bangkok has something to offer everyone. If you are planning a trip to Bangkok, here are some tips to help you make the most of your experience.

For those looking for a more luxurious experience, there are plenty of hotels to choose from. No matter what your budget is, you’ll be able to find accommodations to suit your needs.

British Tourists Lured into Thailand’s Dangerous Drug Smuggling Scheme
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
British Tourists Lured into Thailand’s Dangerous Drug Smuggling Scheme Under the Pretense of “Free Holidays”
In a chilling revelation, British tourists are being deceived into participating in drug smuggling operations in Thailand under the guise of all-expenses-paid vacations. Enticed by the promise of free holidays, unsuspecting travelers find themselves embroiled in the illicit transportation of cannabis back to the UK. As the scheme grows, authorities have issued urgent warnings to protect tourists from unknowingly aiding this dangerous smuggling network. How the Drug Smuggling Scheme Targets British TouristsThis sophisticated operation recruits British tourists, especially young travelers and budget-conscious individuals, through social media platforms and encrypted messaging apps like Telegram. Organizers offer enticing perks such as free accommodation, guided tours, and pocket money, creating the illusion of a dream holiday. However, there’s a sinister twist—these travelers are then asked to transport packages containing cannabis, disguised as souvenirs or everyday items, back to the UK.British authorities, alarmed by a surge in intercepted cannabis shipments originating from Thailand, are collaborating with Thai officials to dismantle this network. In a recent meeting with Thailand's Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB), British Ambassador Mark Gooding and the UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA) called for swift action against the perpetrators. Behind the Scenes: How British Tourists Are Unwittingly Involved in Drug Smuggling in ThailandThe smuggling scheme taps into the allure of free travel, using enticing offers to gain the trust of unsuspecting tourists. Recruits are led to believe they’re simply carrying travel mementos or souvenirs, but in reality, they’re smuggling cannabis across borders.Lt. Gen. Phanurat Lukboon from Thailand’s ONCB highlights, “These tourists aren’t just being tricked—they’re being seduced by the promise of a free holiday.” The operation, he explains, uses psychological manipulation, making it easy for the unsuspecting to get involved without recognizing the criminal nature of their actions.Recent Developments in the InvestigationOngoing investigations have revealed the far-reaching extent of this smuggling operation. Thai authorities recently intercepted a shipment containing 210 grams of ecstasy precursor disguised as a dietary supplement. Further investigation connected the shipment to British and Dutch nationals living in Bangkok, believed to be key players in the drug trafficking network.Raids conducted at properties rented by the suspects uncovered 36 kilograms of cannabis, packaging materials, and 1.4 kilograms of concentrated cannabis resin. These individuals, residing in Thailand under tourist visas, orchestrated drug exports while posing as tourists. How Smugglers Use False Declarations and Disguise TechniquesDrug traffickers employ various methods to evade detection, including false customs declarations. Cannabis shipments have been falsely labeled as “pillows” or other innocuous items, making it easy for packages to slip through customs. Other parcels are given directly to unsuspecting tourists to transport, exploiting their ability to re-enter the UK without visas. The ONCB and British law enforcement have ramped up inspection measures to catch these hidden shipments and prevent tourists from being used as unwitting couriers.

Protecting Yourself: Tips for British Tourists in ThailandTo avoid becoming an unknowing accomplice in this scheme, British tourists should be vigilant when traveling to Thailand. Here are some safety tips to help tourists protect themselves:- Never Accept Packages from Strangers: Refuse any requests to carry packages, particularly from people you don’t know well. - Question “Too Good to Be True” Offers: Free holiday offers with added requests to carry goods should be viewed with skepticism. - Verify Trip Legitimacy: Research travel offers thoroughly and verify them through reputable channels. - Report Suspicious Activities: If you receive suspicious offers, report them immediately to local authorities or the British Embassy. - Inspect All Items You Are Asked to Carry: Even if items appear harmless, ensure that you’re fully aware of the contents before transporting them.Legal Risks: The Consequences of Unintentional Drug SmugglingEven if a tourist unknowingly transports illegal substances, they may still face severe legal repercussions. Both Thai and British authorities impose strict penalties for drug trafficking, with potential imprisonment. Ignorance of a package's contents does not always exempt a person from prosecution, so travelers must exercise caution to avoid carrying suspicious items. Collaborative Efforts Between British and Thai AuthoritiesTo dismantle the network and protect tourists, both British and Thai authorities are collaborating closely. In addition to increased airport screenings, they’re conducting targeted investigations and providing awareness to travelers. British authorities are advising tourists to exercise caution, while the ONCB intensifies efforts to shut down smuggling operations within the country.Final ThoughtsAs the smuggling scheme continues to unfold, British tourists are strongly encouraged to remain vigilant and exercise caution when traveling abroad. By staying informed and following the advice of law enforcement, travelers can help protect themselves from becoming unwitting accomplices in illegal activities, ensuring that their vacations remain free of criminal exploitation. FAQs: British Tourists and Thai Drug Smuggling Schemes How are British tourists becoming involved in drug smuggling schemes in Thailand? British tourists are being manipulated by traffickers who promise free holidays in exchange for transporting drugs. They are contacted via platforms like Telegram and offered accommodation, tours, and pocket money in return for smuggling cannabis back to the UK without realizing their involvement in illegal activities. How are British and Thai authorities collaborating to tackle this issue? The UK’s National Crime Agency, along with the British Ambassador to Thailand, has called on Thai authorities, particularly the ONCB, to investigate and shut down the network. Both countries’ law enforcement agencies are working together to track and disrupt the operation. Why are British tourists being specifically targeted? British tourists are seen as ideal couriers due to the UK’s visa policy, which allows them to re-enter without any special checks. The free vacation offers attract tourists who do not suspect any ulterior motives, making them easier to manipulate. How is the cannabis being transported from Thailand to the UK? The drugs are smuggled in two ways: either through parcels shipped directly to the UK with falsified labels (such as “pillows”) or by tourists carrying the drugs in their luggage. Smugglers often disguise the cannabis as souvenirs or personal items. What should tourists do to avoid becoming victims of smuggling schemes? To protect themselves, tourists should never agree to carry packages for others, particularly from strangers or online acquaintances. Be wary of offers that seem unusually generous, as they may be deceptive. Always check the contents of any item you’re asked to transport, and immediately report any suspicious activity to the authorities. Are there legal consequences for tourists who unknowingly transport drugs? Yes, even if a tourist does not realize they are carrying illegal drugs, they may still face serious legal consequences. Both Thailand and the UK impose strict penalties for drug trafficking, and ignorance of the contents will not necessarily protect a tourist from prosecution. How widespread is the problem of drug smuggling involving tourists in Thailand? The issue has grown significantly in recent months, with a noticeable increase in cannabis smuggling cases between Thailand and the UK. While the exact number of involved tourists is unclear, the frequency of intercepted shipments and arrests suggests this is a major concern. What should travelers do if they suspect they are being targeted by a smuggling scheme? Travelers should immediately stop all communication with the suspects and report any suspicious activity to local authorities or the British Embassy. If approached by unknown individuals offering suspicious travel packages, they should not engage in further discussions. Are there specific regions or platforms where these schemes are most common? The Telegram messaging app has been identified as a key platform used by traffickers to recruit tourists. Additionally, tourist hotspots in Thailand are likely areas where individuals may be targeted by these schemes. What steps are authorities taking to prevent further exploitation of tourists? Both Thai and British authorities are increasing airport inspections and parcel screenings to intercept illicit drugs before they leave the country. Public awareness campaigns and joint law enforcement efforts are also underway to prevent tourists from falling victim to these deceptive schemes.

This takes the guesswork out of your trip, allowing you to focus on enjoying the experience instead of worrying about every detail.
Expertly Curated ItinerariesInternational tour packages are designed by travel experts who know the best times to visit destinations, the most popular attractions, and the hidden gems that tourists might miss. These curated itineraries often feature a balance of sightseeing, local experiences, and relaxation, so you can make the most of your time abroad.
Group Travel and New FriendshipsIf you enjoy meeting new people and sharing experiences with like-minded travellers, group tours are an excellent option. International tour packages often come with the added benefit of group travel, providing opportunities to make new friendships while exploring new destinations.
Budget-Friendly TravelMany international tour packages are cost-effective, offering a better value than booking individual components yourself. Because tour operators can bundle services such as hotels, transfers, and attractions, they can often offer lower prices than if you were to book everything separately.
